This app is awful now.. I went from being a huge loyal customer since 2020 loving the app and everything about it to now absolutely hating it. I have used this app for over 2years now, I was able to purchase without issues, reschedule payments weeks out if need be, use my debit card without any problems. Now I cant use my debit card to pay on an existing order with out being charged a fee, if I reschedule a payment it will basically put my payment I reschedule on top of the next order payment and it never use to be that way. It use to push all your payment dates out with that reschedule. Also if your card declines even if you have money in your account(due to not liking cash app cards or certain bank cards) it freezes your whole order. That meaning they wont allow a rescheduled payment for not just that order but your other orders also it makes you pay everything owed on that whole specific order or you wont be able to use the app, again it never use to be this way. The customer service through the app basically copies and pastes whats in the fact sheets. Which is super frustrating and you get no where talking to them. Sezzle is great but don’t expect actual help if something messes up on your account.
Surprisingly excited. When I 1st got the app and it gave me $50 spending power. I was very skeptical. I have on the lower end of fair credit so I didn’t get much. I started scrolling what shops they had. Got even more skeptical there’sbecause I hadn’t heard of most of them. Then I see some bigger brands and then I realized I can buy vapes for 1/4 of the price thru this app than they sell them in Fairbanks, AK! Placed the order and had them before the 2nd payment was even due! Now that I have been using it for month they have added new features like games that pay you in spending power! It’s not a whole lot but ima play the games anyways. I even deleted and redownloaded a couple to get points there. It can’t pay what you already owe either, tho that would be amazing, it wouldn’t get you to buy more thru them tho. I have had 1 problem with a package and that was on USPS and our shortage of postal drivers. They have upped my spending power a handful of times without me even asking. They are constantly adding more shops and features so you’re getting a better app than when I downloaded it and it was awesome then! Best of luck!
Sezzle Review. Excellent App, I have very much enjoyed having and using Sezzle!!! As well with the added credit line this has made Sezzle 100% BETTER than before!!! The only couple things I would suggest to make Sezzle the over all number 1 app across the board would be just a few minor things which would in my mind take Sezzle to the very TOP!!! 1. Easier to reach Customer Service ( I was charged all 4 payments for an order that I never even received) I placed an order with a company Caravan comfort which turned out they didn’t have the product so Caravan Comfort refunded back to me the cost of the product however Sezzle continued to charge me all 4 installments for the product I never received. I tried to reach a customer service rep from Sezzle and unfortunately was never able to do so there paid for a product I never received. I was extremely disappointed and hesitated in placing another order. 2. Allowing the Sezzle Credit line to be attached to Apple wallet and available to use for any purchases on any items any place or perhaps anyplace over the cost of $50-$100
Why fix something that isn’t broken?. I used to love Sezzle but recently the main reasons I loved it have changed. I used to be able to reschedule payments two weeks out (until my next pay period) and it would allow me to reschedule all future payments as well. Now it will only allow me to reschedule one payment a max of 13 days out and which for me falls within the same pay period so it makes no sense and the next payment is due the very next day. Also, we used to be able to make purchases even if we had rescheduled payments (who h as a single parent living paycheck to paycheck came super helpful in case of emergencies) and now you can’t. It will decline your purchase. I made a mistake of rescheduling a payment that wasn’t due for another 2 days and because I rescheduled it, now I can’t use sezzle even though the original due date wasn’t even due. Customer service is horrible. You can be on hold for hours on the phone waiting to speak to someone and their twitter team is even worse just giving generic answers. Honestly sezzle was great before and didn’t need any of these new changes.
Love it!. If your looking for an app of this type absolutely give this one a go. I went through just about every app offering this type of service and I only have three. Look, I’m gonna be honest I don’t even have a fico score so loans, line of credit etc is not gonna happen. But Sezzle is an absolute gift! To my surprise they said yes and for me, the $450 limit was higher than I would have imagined lol. I’ve been using this for almost a year, they have a program that helps you build your credit which I think is great but I’ll have to update once I know more on that. It’s easy to use online and in store. The only con I really have is them having more Stores to chose from but I’ve noticed they seem to be working on that and have already added new stores. (If they’re store selection is an issue I do recommend Zip Pay (Quadpay). Soon to leave a review for them as well.) Sezzle is one of my top three in this category and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. :)
Horrible Glitchy App & Unfair Fees!. If I could give zero stars, I would. Sezzle’s app is completely unreliable, and their customer service is just as bad. I ALWAYS pay my balances ahead of time, yet due to a glitch in their system, three of my scheduled payments mysteriously disappeared from my list the day before they were due. When I went to make my usual payment, they were nowhere to be found. Fast forward to the due date, and suddenly Sezzle tries to withdraw the money—causing failed payment fees to hit my account THREE times. This wasn’t my fault—I budget my payments every week and pay on time. But instead of acknowledging their app’s failure, Sezzle refused to refund the unfair fees. They’ll probably try to brush this off with a generic response about how they notify customers of due dates (which I ALREADY know). The real issue is their app malfunctioning, but they’d rather blame the customer than take responsibility. If you value your time and money, STAY AWAY from Sezzle. A payment app that can’t even track payments properly is useless, and their refusal to make things right just proves they don’t care about their customers.
All good until they added sezzle up. Been using Sezzle since they all started I have placed tens of orders always paid them on time, then they started adding premium retailers like Lowes among others and for me to get access to these retailers I needed to my bank account and I did, so I placed like 2 orders in the amount of $600 or more than that and paid on time but then they removed these retailers until you they have your SSN, I tried to use my ITIN instead, the one that use for my regular needs like apt and car leasing and even my credit card from Amex The app says invalid SSN because obviously I entered my ITIN and now I can’t just validate it and customer service wont help you at all takes like 48 hours to reply your message just to say nothing can be done, Sezzle team is this the way you deal with loyal and great customers like me? You’re acting like “is just one of our thousands of clients say bye to him” Before the last update you were all good but now it’s a shame guys.
App changed rules and no purpose of having it. I have used Sezzle for years. When they started they were great. But all of the sudden, they decided you had to be part of their “Premium” account In order to use 4 installment payments in the popular stores. But, you can’t just be Premium! After all these years of being a loyal customer, I’m in a wait list. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I have maybe postponed a few payments to a different day that was more convenient, but i have NEVER failed to pay. So now, every time I want to make a purchase, it wants me to pay in full and build my credit. 🤔People, that’s not the reason why customers want to use your app! If I want to build my credit, I just go get a credit card. You have defeated the purpose of your app for me and everyone else. The idea of using you, is to have the opportunity to have four payments and not all at once. I will sadly not be using your app any longer as there is no point to it. Thank you!
Longtime customer not qualified for Premium. I have been a customer for a few years now. Back when all stores (like Target and Walmart) were available to everyone. Now stores I would normally use this service for (like Target and Walmart) are considered “Premium”. I just logged in one day and they weren’t available to me. No notice. I’m left with stores I have never heard of and will never shop at. You have to qualify to access their “Premium” paywall of stores. I have waited for over a year now to be qualified and I keep having to get back on the list to sign up for “Premium”. My spending limit also went down to $50. I always paid on time. Whatever their method is to see if we still are allowed a high spending limit is ridiculous. Why would my limit change if I’ve always paid on time? I have seen other reviews that have the same issues. They shouldn’t have done a premium service and kicked a whole bunch of people who have paid on time off accessing stores we would actually shop at while also dropping our limits to $50…..I don’t understand why your system would drop thousands of peoples limit to $50 each. I don’t recommend using this platform as there are much better ones out there. This is the only one I can think where you have to have “Premium” access to normal stores. If you don’t, you are able to access stores you have never heard of.
Sezzle punishes on time payments. When I first started with Sezzle they gave me a 600 dollar limit. I looked on their website to see how I could increase my spending limit. They said it’s not guaranteed but if you make on time or early payments it’s possible to increase it. My limit raised to 900 within a few months and then for no reason after making early payments my spending limit dropped to 500. My credit rating went up from the point I started to the point it decreased. So that was not a factor. When I asked support for an explanation all they could say was it’s an automated system and they can’t manually increase it and if I made on time payments it could go up. I never missed a payment! I always paid way before the due date and this is how Sezzle rewards their loyal, responsible customers. All I think is if you buy something under 45 dollars it will negatively affect your spending power. If that’s the case why are they not transparent about it! And support can’t do a thing about it! Thank you Sezzle for punishing me for doing the right thing. It’s a great way to do business. I will no longer be using Sezzle for this reason. You obviously don’t want my money.
Much better than Klarna. I had recently started the Sezzle program this week. I had so much difficulty with Klarna in the past several months that that has been ridiculous. Number one planner only refers to as a credit score. At first it did not question your credit score. Now Klarna is only asking for your credit score and when you have even if you have a mediocre credit score. There is always an issue with Klarna and declining your purchases. I grew tired of it and I decided to try out this new Sezzle merchant. So far so good I am very pleased with them is just as good as Afterpay, which I’m also subscriber and, And the biweekly payments are better suited for people like myself that that are on a fixed income and you pay biweekly, which is a lot easier than having an extra credit card payments plus higher interest rates. So far has a biweekly payment plan option even with high merchandise as well as groceries get Sezzle.
Don’t bother. Had Sezzle for a long time (years) and never had a problem. I loved the virtual card and spend anywhere features. I was even paying for the premium. As I was going to make a purchase it asked me to verify my social security number. Didn’t make sense because I was a long time consumer but nonetheless I entered. I kept getting the same response as I can’t be verified. Emailed and called customer service with no help whatsoever. Customer service was difficult to understand. I don’t think native English speakers so dialect is thick in most cases. She told me sometimes it does this just delete the app and try again. Deleted the app and still same result. She then said it was something with credit bureau but I called all 3 and there were no locks or freezes in place. Now after years of patronage I can no longer use the service. Never had an identity issue with Afterpay or Klarna. I just liked the features of Sezzle better but now I have no choice. Oh I’m not the only one with this problem. Just google Sezzle unable to verify social. Tons of articles and TikTok’s to keep you entertained
Credit hit/cancer/ rescheduled Worth representative. I recently I’ve been out of work due to cancer related illness. With that being said, I reached out to Sezzle for help. I spoke with a representative and we came up with a solution to extend the payments out. A payment was made on the account and I said I’ve been checking payments have been adjusted accordingly. To my knowledge everything was was good. However, this morning I received a hit on my Trans Union, Experian and Equifax as a late payment.. within our correspondence in the email this was never discussed. I’ll attach conversation: the payment adjustment was for relief it did nothing to contribute. If anything I could have waited that time and did my own adjustment. There was absolutely no benefit . Not worth it anymore. I signed up and used Sezzle since 2021. I mostly used it at Target and always paid every order off on time. It helped my credit score tremendously after months of on time payments being sent to my credit report. Now? They don’t want to help people unless they can pay for it. I can no longer use this app for Target orders. And the worst part is even after being one of the many folks who was loyal with Sezzle and made constant on time payments, they take us all down to a $50 spending limit. I had a nearly $2,000 spending limit that I never went over $250 on and now they think I am only worth $50. It says to increase it depends on making on time payments and how long you’ve been with them. So the years of loyal customers just get downgraded for no reason? What sense does that make? I use to recommend this app to everyone looking to help their credit scores or who needed to make a larger purchase and pay in installments. Now it’s just like all the other apps- eager to do whatever they can to make you pay for their service that no longer provides ease and convenience into making a purchase you can pay in increments. Very disappointed in Sezzle and what they have done to those of us who really loved their app and can no longer say that now.
Ruined my credit-use at your own risk. I used Sezzle for years and it was fine, I always paid on time but mostly I paid early. I decided I’d be a part of Sezzle up when they offered due to the fact that I could use the good report on my credit. I had a limit of $700 I paid all my purchases on time, around Christmas I made the biggest purchase I had ever made using Sezzle but paid it off like 2 payments early. I have no clue why but after I did this they just dropped my limit down to like $300!! For absolutely no reason, it still hasn’t gone back to what it was an it’s April now. But my credit dropped because of my lowered limit. There is no way to opt out of credit reporting unless you close the Sezzle account. I paid these people for years without a problem and this is how they repay me. Horrible mistake I made signing up for Sezzle up, I worked too hard to get my credit right for this to happen. Go with Afterpay or Klarna, they have never done this, they only reward me with higher limits due to my payment history. I have a limit of $3000 with Afterpay that I’ve earned over the years with the same type of payment history I gave Sezzle to get screwed over.
So far so good!. I used them and got the virtual target card too. I first added two debit cards for payment but then I was reading about Sezzle up , in hopes I’ll get the option to “Sezzle up” I went and added my bank account too and set it as primary. Praying they give me the option to Sezzle up ASAP. I pay on time on all my accounts and I wish I would I have added the bank first maybe I would have got the Sezzle up option right away like I see many others saying. I’ve also seen some say they got the option to Sezzle up After they added bank account within a few days later after adding it and making it primary for payments. Fingers and toes crossed they bless me with the options to Sezzle up. Lord knows I could use this especially this time of the year. It has its pros and cons. I been using sezzle for over a year and a half, I have a love and hate relationship with it. I use to recommend it to everyone but with all the changes they have made, I stopped. There are alot of cons to this service. Like paying premium for you to be able to shop at a lot of well known stores when it use to be free. They also change the rescheduling, they use to give you 3 reschedules per order and the payment also moved all the other payments but now when you reschedule it lands on the next payment. It’s only beneficial if you are rescheduling the last payment. On top of that they changed it to, if you reschedule a payment then you aren’t allowed to use the app again until you pay it off. There are other apps you can use like Zip Afterpay and Klarna that offer almost all the same stores as sezzle for free. And you can still buy things even if you reschedule something. The only benefit that I can think of is that it builds your credit if you are a sezzle up member.
Cheated me out of a subscription. Company is goodish when i comes to just using them. Don’t for anything use there Sezzle card or subscribe to it. I purchased the subscription and went out and grabbed a product from a company using it. The company ended up contacting me a week later and said due to the product not being in stock they would not be charging my Sezzle card till they had the product so I had the company cancel my order. I went back to the company for a product that was in stock and little did I know Sezzle had locked the card and told me I could no longer use it. I talked to the customer support thru both email and phone call and was told there’s nothing they can do and was basically told to kick rocks. 10/10 would not recommend anyone using the card. The company can yank it out from under you any time and the customer support was far from being useful in the situation. I’d try and go use affirm instead. Have been using them for over 2 years now and have never ran into a problem with them like this. Will be possibly reporting the company to the better business bureau due to how dumb this whole thing was and the fact they won’t give me a refund for my subscription
Great.. My only issue is that I have made a purchase in the amount of $125 with a company called Klase. This company states that they will issue a refund if needed and provide a return label. I did not order a custom piece however the items do not fit my daughters neck they are too large she’s a teenager therefore I’m returning the pieces. They also send another email asking for pictures of the items they sent to me. They also state that you can return the items and they will provide a return label. They have been difficult and every email is less helpful and final than the first. I have stated that it’s a return and they ask again if it’s a replacement and send me photos of options. This company is extremely difficult to deal with and I will not make another purchase with them also they will not provide a return label and they are charging me a 15% restock fee. I am forever a sizzle customer but I will no longer patronize Klase.
Caution!!! Sezzle seems shady👎. 3. As I said, contacting customer service doesn’t help at all. I can’t converse with anyone personally. My needs were not addressed at all. I tried and now I’m done with Sezzle. I will be paying close attention to the info that I provided to Sezzle (in case any fraud turns up). I terminated the Sezzle account. There was nothing else that I could do. If you won’t even converse in any way with your customers, you don’t care at all. 2. Sezzle is scary. I just attempted to call Customer Service and wasn’t allowed to speak to a live person, but was directed to their email form service. Immediately I was emailed an auto response, with the same sorry excuses of why no one can help solve this. Unbelieveable! I deleted my financial info and hopefully can terminate my Sezzle account. I regret trusting Sezzle to handle my financial and indentifying info. I’m glad I didn’t give them my main finacial info. smh 1. Declined for a $3 purchase? Really? This is rediculous! I recently was approved for Sezzle, but haven’t been permitted to make any purchases. I’m not being given any helpful reasons to why I’m being declined other than the purchase maybe too much. I have way more than enough to cover $3! Why was I approved for a Sezzle acct, if they won’t allow me to purchase through them? The purchase process is not user friendly either. Too many security codes required just to have the purchase declined. smh...There is no point to this...
Worst customer support I’ve ever received. Listen to the reviews about awful customer support they’re right. I just tried to make my first purchase using the app and when I got the payment method part I kept getting a bogus, “wrong billing address” error message that made no sense because my billing address for my debit card lines up exactly with my home address on file. Had a rep verify my info and that everything was correct. Rep claimed they didn’t know why it wasn’t working and that everything is fine on my end so it should work. They advised I uninstall and then reinstall the app and try to login again so I did but now I got hit with a, “too many attempts wait 23 hours” message. So after speaking with another rep and explaining I only got that block because I was following the troubleshooting advice of the previous rep they told me to just wait 23 hours and try again when they were literally the ones who told me to keep trying to login which is what got me blocked. Never seen this before in my life your advice gets your customer blocked then your lazy reps don’t do a thing to lift the block or help you just tell the customer to wait? Gotta be the worst customer service I’ve ever gone through. Shame on you.
Sezzle Needs A Hostile Takeover. Been a loyal Sezzle customer since it was created. Every evolution of its business model means less value or value in exchange for a monetary fee. Sezzle, your competitors with each enhancement add more value to their business model, not less. Walmart has now entered into the buy now pay later field which adds a new competitor, Walmart has extremely deep money reserves which makes it a formidable foe. I understand subscription fees are completely optional for consumers to agree to. The biggest downside to Sezzle is requiring a fee to use the service with the largest retailers when it was not a requirement before. Having consumers pay a fee to use Sezzle at favorite merchants is not the best way to differentiate from competitors. I have stayed with Sezzle because of loyalty but once I pay my final purchase. I am separating and giving all my BNPL business to Zip, FOUR and Walmart. It’s a shame when a business hands over a loyal long term customer with excellent payment history of almost 5 years. I’m sure your competitors will embrace a customer who in the span of almost 5 years placed almost 400 orders. It’s Sezzles loss for a bait and switch business model.
Things to consider with this app. Sure it works if your purchase item are on the low scale, you can then pay off in four installments, for payments without any hiccups this sounds like a winner, but if you are someone that has to watch their account because of fraudulent activities and scammers, and prefer to do a manual payment without any chargebacks or penalties these people are not the answer, they are more like loan sharks, If your payment is due on the 18th and it is due to be ACH, and you have your account signature protected, meaning that you first have to get authorization from the cardholder before the money is withdrawal electronically, and if your card comes back as NSF, these people will charge you like six dollars on every transaction within that same day like they literally run your account seven times in one day= to a $36 charge in one day, listen, there are better apps that have dignity and well developed comprehension when it comes to good business, don’t allow these people to make large amounts of money charging you such high interest rates, but consider putting your stuff in payment plan with the original debtor or merchant before you come to one of these apps.
Fake scores updated. I’ll be honest if you asked me 2 years ago I would’ve said probably 4.5 stars now definitely a 1 star. Literally EVERY big name store that you would want to use Sezzle with, you need their subscription which is absurdly high ($19 a month). It over $10 more per month than klarna subscription. Afterpay doesn’t have a subscription and neither does PayPal. Their “pay anywhere” subscription isn’t that’s nice. Klarna you don’t need a subscription at all but maybe there a $1-$2 fee per purchase or just $7 a month and no fees and $50+ of discounts a month. So basically if you use this app for anything besides smaller business you wasting upwards of $200 a year. I bet that money could be better spent elsewhere. Update review: they charged the card that had money on there for one purchase. however I forgot to change the card for second purchase then the said neither purchase went through and proceed to charge a 15 dollar fee for a $10 payment.. never using app again also I hope sezzle sees this cause you NOT getting the fee money send whatever you need but you will not get $25 for $10.. truly a trash corporation. Good luck in the future when you inevitably fail miserably
Customer Support is Next to None. I used to be a big fan of Sezzle and would use it as much as possible since it offers the credit reporting option. I had a great rapport with them until I unfortunately fell on hard times and lost my job for a couple of months. I explained this to them and that I would be making my payments as soon as I had an income again and I thought customer support would be understanding. As soon as I got back on my feet one of the first things I did was make my payments which were not even a month late. I kind of figured my spending limit would probably go down significantly as a “punishment” or to kind of start over but the app stated that I could not use it at all due to payment history. All my payments had been on time except for when I lost my income. I contacted customer service again and they told me it is not possible that I will ever be able to earn a spending allowance and I am basically banned from using the app ever again so I closed my account. This is a GREAT app if you plan to never fall on hard times and/or lose your income (which realistically, nobody does) otherwise you’re kicked. It was fun while it lasted Sezzle.
Awful. I have used Sezzle in the past, but recently when I made a purchase through them I was charged for the premium membership. When I specifically unchecked that box at checkout. So I immediately cancelled and said I didn’t sign up for it to begin with but didn’t make a big fuss about it. So my next payment date comes around and they notify me that there was an error processing my payment. I go in and manually pay with no issues, on the same card they attempted “multiple times.” So, this time I email explaining that I manually made the payment with no issues and asked if the tacked on fees could be removed since it didn’t seem to be an error on my end at all. In response I was told that this was an internal process done by an automated program and that’s who assessed the fees and they had no way of removing them. This is when I was told the system tried to make the payment several times and it was rejected and that’s why the fee was applied. There was not a single issue with my card, I didn’t even have to re-enter the details when I went in manually. I will NEVER use Sezzle again because all they seem interested in is charging unnecessary fees and then claiming they can’t do anything about it.
WHAT AN AMAZING APP!!!!. Shopping on line is my thing and I love visiting different stores online but sometimes don’t wish to come up off my Own Money do to whatever other obligations I may have that may compromise my financial resources and Sizzle definitely provides a alternative that doesn’t hurt my pockets. The monthly payment options they offer along with the interest rates NO WAY could I turn away and with each paid off completions I get increase in my loans and that’s the KEY here….. pay off your agreed amount earlier than expected and they don’t charge you the total interest rate who can’t appreciate that?? They increase your spending limit with a light credit inquiry the very first time you sign up. They take a chance of you and as long as you keep your agreed among payments up to date the most they extend the trust. Pretty soon I might be purchasing a car using my dynamic pay history with them lol. Just keep in mind this app issue only for good for people with great responsibility Finanical skills, so if you the type of person who lives for check after check DON’T mess around with this app.
Terrible policy’s. Was charged a late fee of $15!!! My credit card company flagged my auto draft as fraud and would not make the payment. I didn’t find out that the payment didn’t go through until after the late date. I was sent an email when it didn’t go through but I don’t check my email. I received a txt message when the late fee was applied to my account. I immediately began trying to fix the problem after receiving the txt message. This is also the first time I’ve had a problem or have any kind of a late payment. The chat system is not very good. Takes hours for a response. When I finally got to talk to an individual they refused to take down the $15 late fee even after explaining the situation. If they had originally sent a txt when the payment didn’t go through this could have been avoided. And the fact that the fee is that high and for a first time problem is awful. I would not recommend using Sezzle. If this had been a second time thing or more I would have understood. I have never missed a payment in the past. I will not use again. This is a bad business.
Helpless customer service app. I used too love sezzle to make Target purchases. I’ve used this app for months and never had issues until now. I’ve always made my payments on time. I use the app a lot to shop and one day I had an available spending balance to use and then next minute went to $0 without even making any purchases. I’ve reached several times to customer service but it’s like they don’t know how to read because they would response with a whole complete answer that has nothing to do with my questions. Feels like I’m talking to a robot because they just repeat. Well one day a guy Alvin on customer service said they were experiencing a globe system error that had affected all shoppers and they were working on the problem to resolve it. It’s been 4 days now and I still can’t make any purchases even if I have paid off some orders. I only have 6 active orders open and they’re saying that’s too many open orders but I’ve have 30 orders in the past and that never stopped me from shopping as long as I was making my payments. This app & their customer service is getting very annoying because they don’t help at all.
Great way to get things. Hello everyone I just wanted to share with y’all that this app is just great! Sometimes we don’t have the entire amount for things so we just end up not getting them. That sometimes results on missing out on some great sales and it stinks. With this app it’s helped me get stuff I need without out breaking my wallet. It’s a great way to get what you want with 4 easy payments. I love it. I have my own business and sometimes I need stuff for my shop (A little bow shop) when I’m in need of some supplies I’m able to get on here and make that purchase it’s great. But also you have to be responsible you cannot just get stuff and not pay. You have to make sure you are able to make the payments. It’s every 2 weeks. So if you get paid on the 1st or 15th make your purchase where it won’t be an issue. I usually pay it off on the 3rd payment to be done with it. If you don’t have the money that week you can always move your date about 7 days out. So just work around your payday.
Horrible App. Let me start off by saying. I started using this app before it made you pay a premium fee of 9.99 monthly. I did not have an issue with the fee because it was very helpful for me. I had a great spending limit and consistently paid all payments on time if not earlier because I understand that that is obviously how your spending limit works. Well there was an update and all of a sudden my spending limit went to zero. I reported this to help live chat and they are absolutely no help all they say is we apologize and then tell me how spending limit works. Their response I the same copied response to use for everyone. I guarantee that there is no issue taking my 9.99 monthly payment. Please makers of this app do not respond to this with that same message cause then we all know that you just have a bot answering these reviews. I am very disappointed because I was consistent and to go go from 1000 limit to 100 and you can see my history that I clearly had a spending limit over 100 with the amount of pitches that have been paid off. Dissapointing Sezzle. People stay away. Go to ZIP instead!
Fraudulent merchants. I order about $300 worth on a boutique call “Wild heifers boutique” that works with sizzle about two months ago I never received any of my items I contacted the merchant just like sizzle suggested but nothing the owner never contacted me back then she send fake tracking numbers and she ended up blocking me on social media because I tried to get a refund, I went back and tried to contact sizzle to report this merchant and guess what I got ignored as well I send emails with proof of the scam, I waited on the phone for hours and nothing I wasn’t able to talk to anybody and I haven’t heard back from them but now they charging me late fees for that last payment I never made because simply I got scammed by one of they’re merchants, I had to go thru my bank in order to get my money back(the first 3 payments I made) and sizzle it’s now threatening me to pay them back and still haven’t heard anything about the scam and what they’re doing to fix it what a trashy company, if I keep receiving this type of emails I will be obligated to take legal actions i know I’m not the only one how’s going thru this same situation with the same merchant. I’ve talk to about 200 people on social media that is goin thru the same situation with sizzle and this merchant Wild Heifers Boutique.
Excellent payment option by far. I love how easy and transparent the whole process is. The payments are reasonable and there is no charge if you need to reschedule an upcoming payment for whatever reason. I love how after paying my payments on the day that it’s due my credit limit increases. You don’t have to have good credit to even get approved, actually you don’t even need your credit at all which is really awesome. They have a plethora of different stores that have partnered with Sezzle so you just browse through the stores and if you find something you love no matter what the price is all you do is chose Sezzle at check out and your 4 payments are laid out very clear and simple and the item is shipped right then and there instead of having to wait to get your item after all the payments are paid. I recommend this option to those who have a love of shopping like I do. You save your money longer then just spending it all at one time it’s amazing.
Early loan repayment decreased spending power. I’ve had Sezzle for several month and I even joined Sezzle premium. The initial loan and repayment went smoothly, however the subsequent loans thereafter did not. I recently made several purchases through Sezzle for items on a upcoming trip so that I had extra cushion money while out of town. Once I returned from my trip I decided to begin making payments on all loans early, and my spending power decreased or remained the same (did not increase towards the previous spending power limit). My spending power eventually decreased to $0.00 (zero dollars) after paying the last and final of all loans in advanced. I reached out to customer service and they offered absolutely no explanation except this same automated response: “I am sorry to hear your Sezzle limit has decreased. Unlike a credit card, your limit with Sezzle can change over time as we look at various factors, including your repayment history with Sezzle and available payment funds when determining your limit. Currently, we cannot manually increase limits. Just so you know, your spending limit may vary by merchant. You can see your spending limit at each merchant within the Sezzle app.” Which is completely useless being that it’s not applicable and completely contradicts what I just explained and the information marketed in the app.
I will probably close my account…. I liked using this service until I had issues with the website when I tried to reschedule my payment. I thought that it had rescheduled my payment and everything was fine but then I noticed that they had charged my account on the original due date. I tried to contact customer service ( which was a complete waste of time) and I was told that there was nothing that the could do to help. Mind you, I’ve used the service several times and NEVER missed a payment. Since the system didn’t change my due date, when they tried to pull it out of my account, the payment failed because I had been off of work due to medical reasons and didn’t have the funds to cover the payment. As a result, even though I made the payment shortly after all of this , they reduced my spending power to almost nothing!! In closing , I think I will close my account after I pay my last payment. Customer service was horrible, the website didn’t work when I tried to reschedule and I was punished for their system error. Sezzle has lost a loyal customer and I will now return to using after pay.
Convenient until it's not. Like Afterpay and Affirm (and many other apps) you get to break down your purchase into 4 payments. But don't miss a payment, looks like they charge $5 everyday that it is late. I really don't want to pay $16 in fees. Waiting for a response from customer service to drop some fees. I believe one fee is acceptable. But to change daily fees! Like most who decide to use one of the many BNPL apps, it's probably because we didn't have enough money for the full purchase at the time. I didn't forgot my payment, I had to wait till I got paid on Friday to make the payment. I already couldn't afford to pay for the item in full. Do you really think I'm going to have an extra $16 to pay for fees. Especially when I couldn't afford my $11 payment until payday. At this point I'll just not pay it. I don't have many options here especially when I'm getting charged $5 per day it's late. So tomorrow there will be another $5 added if ai don't pay it or speak to customer service tonight. This is getting out of control.
Would’ve been 5 stars before the recent update. I absolutely loved Sezzle and used it often with no complaints. However they made a new update that took away the option to pay your upcoming payments straight from your card on file. Now the only options are to pay with your bank which takes up to 7 days or to add money to your Sezzle spend which has a minimum amount you can add and charges you extra fees. I think that was a not so smart and somewhat greedy bussiness move as it honestly makes paying your payments a bit more of a hastle. I just had to spend almost 35$ to pay an 18$ payment otherwise I would’ve had to try and make sure that 18$ stayed in my account for the next 5 days while I waited for them to actually pull it out. I hate when businesses do that because you never know what expenses may end up coming up between the time you want to make your payments and the time they actually pull it out of your account.. convenience is important to … I’m now less likely to use Sezzle for my bigger orders over some of these other similar platforms like Afterpay.
Closed my account, deleted the app. Just closed my account and deleted the app after using Sezzle since 2019. Over the course of me using their services, customer service always left a ton to be desired and it was always evident that they do not read because they are consumed with the need to stick to copy and paste scripted responses. When I did have to reach out to them, it was not unusual to get a reply that had nothing to do with my issue which just created circular conversations I ended up abandoning. Sezzle was my preferred method when making larger online purchases at Target and I was confused as to why an order I attempted to place did not go through since my last order in September went through with no issues. I ended up using an alternate payment method, but noticed Sezzle sent me a text message stating I needed to subscribe to their premium service in order to complete my purchase. Did some digging and read the other reviews here and noticed they have now changed it to a subscription based app where you have to pay a monthly fee to even use the service at stores that once did not even require such a thing. Has to be the worst decision ever, but fortunately there are better apps out there that don’t put stores behind a paywall at whim just because they feel like being a little more greedy. So long Sezzle and farewell.
Pros and Cons. I love sezzle!! It is a way to purchase items and pay on it every two weeks! That works great for working people! The pros are you can purchase items you might might be able to afford and pay it off while in your possession. The con is the app sometimes has glitches and will say you missed a payment when you didn’t. The customer service is not helpful in these situations nor is asking for a supervisor they will only email you. The con is if this happen they will adjust your spending limit. So I had never missed a payment and gained a credit of $1000 but the app glitched and said I missed a payment when the due date for that payment had not even came yet. It caused me a issue at my bank bc it tried to take the money out ahead of time then that cause a fee without me knowing. I went ahead and paid the payment before knowing about the fee and the rest is history as they say. Sezzle did nothing to accommodate me on this issue when it was there fault that they said I was supposed to pay and I wasn’t. So this is the only issue I’ve had with sezzle. Unfortunately my spending limit got cut back down to $500 and I never missed a payment. But I continue to use them when I really want something but I use other app before I use them because of that issue.
Always different answers, none ever help. DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM SEZZLES CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Avoid this company and save your self the frustration. I had issues with a purchase after going through the check out process and having a hold for $287 on my bank account by sezzle. sezzle sent me a message saying the order was cancelled by the merchant, sezzle suggested I contact the merchant and try again, after contacting the merchant and trying again the same thing happens, sezzle again suggests trying the order again after having placed another hold for $287 on my bank account. After contacting customer service and getting the run around by AI chat bots and unhelpful FAQ I finally got a real person, who again gave me the run around again. And finally told me the purchase was outside of my spending limit. After asking why I wasn’t just denied before completing the initial purchase and taking my money customer service said the app had not been updated to reflect the policy that the total purchase had to be below my purchase power. When I asked why the app had not been updated to reflect the company’s policy the customer service rep told me that the app had been updated but they had not changed the automatic messages blah blah blah. Again I say avoid this company, there are so many other similar services, use literally any other one.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME. I have been begging for assistance on this matter since Dec 2022. Sezzle has not corrected my issue and has stopped responding. I was told that a supervisor would reach out to me. No one has. On Dec 8th fraud was committed on my account in the total of $550. They charged Target gift cards. I was found not liable by Sezzle. My bank refunded me. However Sezzle has my account as though I owe them money, although it also says there is no money due. But those charges are still there. I can’t use Sezzle because of this. Why won’t u guys assist me with this? It’s been 4 months! My next stop is to take it to social media to see if anyone knows what other measures that I can take. Also that auto generated response in the comments basically saying that Sezzle is fraud proof is an absolute lie! I’m living proof. The moment that I put that virtual card on my Apple Pay my account was compromised. For the ones paying $10 monthly for gift cards… Go to Zebit where it’s the same thing minus a monthly fee. Afterpay doesn’t charge a fee either. Sezzle you should be ashamed at what you have done to me.
Don’t recommend. This app is a joke they charge for everything my husband is never late for payments but this one time he forgot they charged him 7 dollars now this is the second time and he has it for auto pay and they keep charging him we definitely don’t recommend this as they want to charge for everything and then when you contact them you have to go premium ridiculous and horrible customer service I’m going to finish paying everything and I’m gonna stop using this ridiculous app I prefer Zip or after pay as they offer more better customer service. I would rate this 0 star Update: I got a response which I think it’s a joke I don’t need you to explain me how your app works you need to change your game with your app as other apps are way better and way more convenient for everyone!!! Still rating this a 0 star as I already deleted this app it’s a joke and I don’t recommend it to anyone just download zip it’s way more convenient and don’t charge you extra if your card doesn’t go through. Jajaja it’s ridiculous, zip doesn’t charge just because your card don’t go through and you can make your payment yourself using whichever credit debit card.
Poor company and service. I used to like sezzle but I will not longer be using it after my final payment. I can’t even use my account half the time despite having plenty of credit available. When I have been able to do orders they take payments whenever they feel like it or show that I have a late payment even when it doesn’t. And don’t bother trying to get help with your issues. The customer service is almost nonexistent and when they do reply to you they go around in circles and make stuff up as they go. I have chat transcripts that are comical. Now they want to charge a monthly fee to use the service at stores you can shop at for free through other companies. That’s just sad. It’s no longer worth the hassle. In response to Sezzle’s comment on my review: I am aware of what Sezzle is. I said nothing about interest rates. I said nothing about late fees. I said my account will show a payment is late even when it is not. And you are now charging people monthly fees just to use your service at “premium companies” that are available free with other companies that are far easier to work with. Maybe instead of trolling through reviews you should work on your direct customer service and fix your system.
Sezzle. Sezzle use to be great but since the new update that requires a bank account linked to make payments, it could not be further from great. Now Sezzle doesn’t allow you to make early payments with your debit card, instead requires you to use a bank account and these payments won’t reflect the value taken from your bank or what’s been paid on your Sezzle account FOR 4 DAYS. So be careful. This isn’t the worst thing right? Well think again cause it makes your actual balance unknown for quite some time, both in your Sezzle and in your bank so you can easily lose track of your finances. Is there a work around? Sure, load your Sezzle balance. Problem is, they fee you 5 dollars when you load your Sezzle balance (which instantly reflects values, and can make early payments go figure), so if you like to load your Sezzle balance to make a 20 dollar payment you have to pay them 5 dollars on top to do so. This is a scheme to push people toward using Sezzle balance feature in order to make more money off of you. Very shady and very “scammy” business practices over at Sezzle, and I implore you to not use Sezzle and use a reputable service that isn’t clearly scamming people.
It’s AAAAIIIIGHT…. I don’t know if the idea for pay in four is the Sezzle thing I signed up for but it’s been a thing. The meaning and the digital charges with the fees are kinda not cool. For instance, I’m late I get that the late fees I honor that the double and triple charges across banking platforms. That’s the bums turtle and I don’t like it. I’m not sure if it’s a scam or on purpose. Even getting the obvious loan is embarrassing at the least and looks fraudulent at the most. The shop from your list of shops that’s knows you supposedly. Doesn’t and after many failed attempts and a email you get the cart you ordered. It’s a good app but tell your customer the truth. You’ll get further and less complaints and I am complaining. I don’t look back on a transaction I say was easy or great or the 50$ increase on my balance with Sezzle I can call Satisfactory annoying or inconvenient inconsistent really the only reason I gave it three starts was. When I needed it it for groceries I get paid per month and I need groceries. Hence the Walmart and Target. I’m not gonna moralize it’s a waste of bits. Just I see potential here but not at the expense of the consumer. Oh and yout you tube sale Off are boring and don’t pay off for the attention I give it and as you know my attention is the currency there.
Unethical - Bait & Switch Operation. For $9.99/month, Sezzle will charge you for a premium service which reports payment and balance history to credit. Currently they’re reporting inaccurate information. They’re reporting a specific dollar amount as being my credit line, and then they’re reporting my current balance. The problem is, the difference between those two sums is not equal to my available line because sezzle has restricted my ability to access use of those funds. They say I have too many outstanding orders. I have two, each of which have a single payment remains. I either have an available line, or I do not. Hopefully I get some answers from the CFPB after I open a case. The app showed I was able to spend, so I made two early payments to increase my buying power, and then my ability to access any funding was restricted. Just in time for Christmas. Thanks Sezzle. So much for getting $60 to stretch into $240 at Target - a premium brand for which I pay a monthly subscription, yet am not able to access. Thanks, Sezzle. Maybe next time you guys can use a little Vaseline before screwing me.
Used to be amazing, still pretty good though.. I’ve been using Sezzle for many months now and at its prime it was singlehanded the best form of installment payment I’d ever used. There is no interest however they do charge a $1.50 fee per payment. Effectively this means you pay $6.00 for every plan you use Sezzle for which I feel is extremely fair. Furthermore, at its height repayment was done instantly and reflected back in your balance moments after it was processed making it extremely convenient and easy to use. Lately they, at the request of their bank, changed repayment to use bank account transfers institute a 4 business day waiting period for repayment, which is quite the downgrade. They did introduce an in app balance you can recharge to pay back instantly as it was but there is now pay an additional fee of $5 every time you add funds. The app is still good, however the direction they’re moving does not bode well for the future.
Best Pay Later App On The Market. I have used Sezzle for over a year and have made several large (over $1000 purchases). I have absolutely NO complaints! I tell everyone I know that Sezzle is the way to go if you need to make a fast purchase but would rather not pay the full amount up front. As you make in time payments your available balance will go up. There are no interest, no fees (unless your late), no hidden charges (it’s the EXACT same price if you weee to pay by cash or debit card), and you can easily reschedule your payments on the app. You don’t need to speak to a rep or feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, you can handle everything yourself on the app- returns, payments, rescheduling, etc. There are a lot of stores that accept it (more than the online list) and more were added over the past year but my only wish would be for even more stores/businesses to accept it. No shame!, especially in these crazy times, it’s nice to be able to make 4 payments for a vacation/cruise, furniture, hair :) or when something unexpected pops up.
The support for this app is bad.. I’ve used this service before and had no problems. I payed on time and everything went smoothly. I really like the service offered from this app. However, I recently had to update my payment info. I ran into a problem that prevented me from doing so and now I’m unable to use this service. I’m unable to add my correct address because the app ignores the apartment number that I added to the address. I talked with a support agent and he couldn’t immediately figure out what was causing the issue and I was told that they would get back to me when they fixed it. I got an email saying it was fixed…It was not. Then I send another support request the next day. Never receive a reply. Then the next day I tried to speak with another agent and they made me wait, and took a while to show up. Naturally I can’t wait all day for an agent, so I went to do other things. I return to the chat and apparently the agent came and left and once again my issue hasn’t been resolved. I’ve been trying to use this service for over a week and haven’t been able to. I guess if you live in an apartment, you can’t use their service. And they won’t help you if you have an issue.
Absolutely Legit. I’m so grateful for the Sezzle pay option. It has allowed me to treat myself recently, during a time where I haven’t been able to really do anything beyond pay bills because money is too tight to make large purchases. I also was able to get my son a very nice electronic item that he would not have been able to get if I had to pay full price up front. This card/acct is soooooo easy to use. All I did was pass my phone by the card reader machine at the store...via Apple Pay and boom purchase complete and I make my 4 small payments over the next 8 weeks. I definitely would recommend this to anyone. Not to mention All of the small businesses you get to support and help keep afloat during this crazy pandemic by shopping with them thru the app. So many stores to shop with that have awesome quality items made by hard working people. Now that I’ve paid my first purchase off early I’m most excited that Sezzle gives me the option to have them report positively to my credit. Great pay option !

Poor, unhelpful customer service. I bought a gift card in good faith on Sezzle (Aug 31/22 and I received a card without a pin#. I have texted with customer service twice without resolution. I payed for my purchase with PayPal because the gift card is worthless WITHOUT A PIN#\ Get it?. I DON’T HAVE A PIN# IT DID NOT COME WITH THE CARD. I was sent a generic email about contracting eBay for card amount. I can’t use it and I’m beyond angry and frustrated with this. I pushed back my payment because I’m not paying for a gift card I can’t use. How is that so difficult to understand. I payed for a useless card. That’s fraudulent!!!.

Happy after Christmas shopper. I’ve been able to find some deals on after Christmas purchases that weren’t totally in my budget to buy in January. This has made it easy and affordable to pick up some items on sale ! Better yet there are no additional charges!
Worst app ever. Downloaded couldn’t add my bank account and when finally got my card added it doesn’t have Walmart or any stores that my spouses has and we have the same app and address but mine won’t show Canadian stores. Contacted customer service no response. Would give zero starts if possible.

Stopped working. Used Sezzle for 6 months no problem, out of nowhere it tells me my credit card isn’t valid and did the same thing to my wife. We never had an issue, now it says we can’t use it. We’ve never missed a payment and the app keeps thinking we are in America. Customer support refuses to help

Joke Of An App. Created an account based off of a recommendation from a friend. Initially, I started with a spending power of $1,050. Seemed cool, but I wasn’t overly interested at the time in purchasing anything. Less than 24 hours later, I open the app to browse more and notice my spending power has suddenly dropped to $150. I hadn’t even purchased anything using the app, I had only spent $5 on premium. I messaged support to see if there had been a mistake, the response I got was “we cannot validate why your spending power has dropped”. Kind of glad I didn’t make any purchases if they’re so disorganized that they can’t even see what factors affect a customer’s spending power. Closed my account right after that conversation, lost $5 for premium but it is what it is.

Bad update. Since the update I can’t change the option from US phone number to the Canadian option and now I can’t login to the app on any of my devices.

A scam. I wanted to pay my prescription glasses in 4 instalments but They don’t let you pay in 4 instalments unless you have previously spent often and a lot of money through their app. That’s only how you’ll be rewarded with the option of paying in 4 instalments. Closed my account and deleted the app. This company encourages overconsumption and wants you to overspend, which is against my values.
Poor service. You can spend thousands of dollars with this app! Once you stop for a while they punish you by degrading your spending power! Pathetic . Closed my account and will never suppourt or use this service again !

Good until you try to contact them or get your refund in a timely manner. My wife thought she would try this as a payment option. Worked really well. Until we wanted a refund for the item. Huge delays getting the refund and delays in the customer service. After 6 weeks managed to get everything in order. Only for two $75 payments to be taken from my account today. For no apparent reason and no purchase. Will never use this again and I would not recommend.
Very bad SCAMMMMM. Every time my spending power disappears and never got refunded for a canceled airplane ticket. And support agents are unable to help at all and never got back to me about my issue.

Member fee now. Now they initiated a monthly fee or you can’t shop at your usual places. Plus spending power suddenly chopped in half. It was pretty good while it lasted.
Poor customer services when you need help. Well I was buying wholesale , with a limit of appro 1300$ and without any advice going down to 50$ . My payment was always on time and I have credit availability for more the the purchase I wanted. Sent them an email, but no one helps except the same general answer. So I decided to pay directly from my credit card and delete my account. After few days to try to figure out why it was declined, why they said my credit card was expired when it was not… very bad customer services.

Ruined my credit somehow. Please be careful.. Just a warning, I used Sezzle for years and love the app. All of a sudden this year they reported to the credit bureaus that I have had a loan financed with them for two years and that I had been one monthly payment back to pay it off. If you use Sezzle you know they advertise to not affect your credit score, that they are not a line of credit and that you have four payments to make per charge, not one monthly fee. Not only did I have this imaginary loan, it was $2000 and my monthly installments were also $2000 each, and I made 16 of them successfully. I ignored it until out of nowhere my credit dropped over 60 points one day and it was because Sezzle reported I had missed one of these imaginary loan payments. I’m still having to dispute this and explain to the credit bureaus what “pay in four” apps are and that none of the info adds up, Sezzle refused to help me with this, it has been a massive headache. Please be careful.
Customer service. The customer service is horrifying. I called yesterday and was on the line waiting for a representative for 53 mins before I decided to hang up and then I received an email stating they were sorry for missing my call but no one ever tried calling me back. I ended up emailing them and the person started helping me but never resolved my issue and then never responded. I’m now currently on the line waiting to speak to someone and I’ve already been on hold for 30 minutes and no assistance. The company really needs a better way of assisting their customers because I’m not satisfied at all and it’s making me not want to use this app. Especially since the reason I need help is due to their own mistake.
Almost as good as Zip…. I have simultaneously been using this app and the Zip app and been getting a feel for which one is more user-friendly and gives me the most options. Sezzle has not been my favorite since I’ve been using it … until now… because now they finally let you pay a membership, premium fee and give you access to all the stores that you would probably need access to because up until then you can only use their store shops which are incredibly expensive and not logistical at all for anybody these days. They are pretty much the same as zip when it comes to breaking down the payment since of four payments and give you flexibility if you want to pay more at once and then they give you more of a spending power.
The Absolute Worst!! Use QuadPay instead!. Yes, they allow you to Buy Now and Pay Later. But, don’t run in to any issues… they will not help!! Got an alert on my credit today saying a Sezzle account was added. Mind you, back in March, when I wanted to cancel Sezzle Up which reports to credit bureaus, I was told to request cancellation in writing to their email, which I did and have proof of! I get on chat with them today and they tell me it was never cancelled and that it’ll be canceled after I make the last payment. However, when I ask why it wasn’t previously cancelled , Sam, completely ignores my question. So I call the customer service number,which says they’re open 9-5 daily(recording says I’ve reached them outside of business hours). It’s only 1:49pm in the same time zone. Then I get an email saying sorry they missed my call. Smh. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with.
C. This company has given me more trouble than they are worth. They are always messing up and I’m always having to message them. It’s really stupid like they give you a virtual card with a limit saying you can spend with a certain company and then you get in and go to check out and it says you can’t use this company was sizzle. even though it’s in their app as being able to be used and even has a thing where are you check out that says it can be used. I’ve contacted them with this issue a gazillion times and they said they can’t even help me and I even pay for a premium account so I can use more. Stores but now they’re saying oh well, you used to be able to, but you can’t now what do you mean I can’t now I pay for it don’t know they say I have to wait for a different plan but they don’t know when it will be offered to me and they can’t just give it to me. What kind of company is this? So no I do not recommend sizzle at all. I am going to delete them myself. They are too much of a hassle to deal with.
They won’t increase your spending power. First off, I began with a spending power of $500. I only used $250 of it and paid it off EARLY. Ever since, Ive been given a spending power of only $100. I was told my limit would increase each time I’d pay off a balance, until I got back to the original $500 limit. Please keep in mind that NONE of my orders have ever been late. No late payments. All on time or EARLY. But still, told to just keep spending and paying off to increase my limit. That was 5 orders ago and I’m still at just $100. Again.. I’ve NEVER paid late. They tell you the spending power increases are done automatically so they can’t give more .. then tell you to just keep paying off any orders to increase it. It’s been 5 orders! It should’ve increased. It’s not even worth it. By the time you factor in taxes and shipping, you have nothing left.
Customer service. I’m normally very fond of Sezzle and love it. But after today my opinion of Sezzle has changed. Watch your account cause Sezzle definitely charged the wrong account & the customer service agent tried to tell me they didn’t. When clearly my account says otherwise. I sent screenshots, which obviously wasn’t good enough. He wanted me to provide screenshots with the card number attached to the account which can’t happen cause my Safe online banking doesn’t show card numbers linked to the account, just my account number. They also charged me before the date I was suppose to be charged. I was charged yesterday when I was suppose to be charged today! So definitely rated 1 star from customer service not being helpful at all or owning up to Sezzle faults! I definitely will be removing all other cards off my Sezzle account from now on, but honestly I probably won’t use for a while after today!
Total Scam, avoid this app!. They told me I was ‘pre-approved’ for $250. I tried using it through the app NUMEROUS times for MONTHS through their approved retailers and got declined EVERY time. Customer service offered me NO ANSWERS at all and kept telling me to use the app to go through their approved retailers which I DID EVERY TIME and STILL got denied. Finally got an email saying they ‘couldn’t verify my identity’?! I contacted support who didn’t even address the identity verification issue and kept telling me like a robot to ‘use the app to purchase through approved retailers’. Every question I asked them they ignored when it was supposedly a ‘live person’ which I highly doubt at this point and when I started trying to call them out on not helping me or answering my questions they TERMINATED THE CHAT. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, and their service doesn’t even work. AVOID. Stick to Afterpay and Zip instead.
Declined Transaction. Believe me or not but I always have sufficient funds in my checking account. So when I use MasterCard to pay off these installments, do not send me notifications that my 3rd payment (of only $24!) was declined then automatically charge me $10 unless I pay it off within 48 hours. How is it fair to make a statement that customer service will reply back within 2-3 business days when i would have been charged that fee nonetheless? Sneaky. I didn’t want to wait on the third day so I called on the same day and was on hold for awhile. I left a voicemail with my call back number and waited almost an hour so I fixed it on my own by using a Visa card, paid off the rest then uninstalled the app. Is their a malfunction in the system? Are you really trying to trick people? For those who never experienced this. Lucky you, but QuadPay and Klarna are much better. This is how they get your money “supposedly late fees and declined charges” that are obviously false.
Making my purchases more manageable and rewarded for using the app. This is the smoothest and most reliable buy now pay later app I’ve ever used. The customer service is excellent and your ability to boost your credit by making your four payments is a no brainer. I will be setting my wife up on the app and I’ve already spoken about it to family and friends. Anything you are looking to purchase can pretty much be found on the 20k plus stores Sezzle partners with. I find myself browsing the stores on the app for long periods of time and I can now purchase some things I want or need and don’t have to have the full payment up front but have the ability to pay more early if I can. Nothing but good things to say and nothing but praise for Sezzle.
Lifeline. I am a big fan of paying all out front and not owing. However I’m also a big fan of credit cards. Sezzle allows me to combine the positives. I have set due dates for the payments that you can reschedule, and I use my credit card to pay, so it’s all split up and I can go longer without payments and less interest because the full purchase is not all on one credit monthly billing. I continue to be responsible of course, but Sezzle gives you that extra breathing room for keeping your budget straight if used correctly. I’ve heard of others having problems with being approved, I have not. Not that I don’t believe them, I’m sure they are telling the truth, but I haven’t myself, which I am thankful for. Thank you Sezzle!
Reduced Spending $100 After Two Early Payments!. I would be writing a five star review if not for this issue and if Sezzle addresses it I’ll change my review but this is ridiculous. I work in card services and know the pros and cons of these types of apps and do see a lot of fraud going on but Sezzle isn’t one I see often so I tried it. Spending limit of $250 made two separate purchases and liked the app so much I made early payments on both and planned on continuing to use it. The DAY AFTER I made my payments my spending power was gone, reducing it to zero. I went from $93 to zero and got a notice to pay my balance to increase spending power. I paid for premium, I paid 2 out of four payments for each purchase and in return my spending power was reduced by $100 they couldn’t go lower than that as I owe $160 but no doubt they will take that too once paid. Customer service copy and pasted their terms stating it can be reduced anytime and the day after making early payments an agent tells me in order to increase spending limit make payments on my balance. What the heck?! Bad business and discouraging for anyone trying to learn to keep on track. Why would you use an app that punishes you for paying early? They say that wasn’t the reason yet won’t give a reason. It’s sad because I liked the app but I’ll go elsewhere if this is how they do business. Everything else was fine. I feel I was tricked, once hooked I got shafted.
I don’t know how it works, but am so glad it exists!!. I love Sezzle! It makes the purchase experience seamless at every stage: it's quick and easy to get approved, doesn't effect your credit, allows to split big purchases into easier-to-manage instalments ...and you can even reschedule the dates! $0 fees!! I missed a payment by 24 hours when I had problems with my bank: still $0 fees! They helped me when I changed bank and needed to wait for my new card. Still $0 fees!! The guy on the phone was like "we know life happens!" – how much better can it get? And now they have an app where I can see all upcoming payments at a glance!!! Why don't all store offer Sezzle???!!!
Never got refund. I made a purchase using my Sezzle account at Walmart and I refunded all the merchandise after that purchase. Sezzle never sent me an email stating that the merchandise was refunded and when I contacted them, they stated that the refund was sent to my default card payment, which was inaccurate. they stated they sent it to a very old card that was on my account that was no longer even active. I contacted my bank. They stated that Sezzle never refunded any of that money. I have been in contact with Sezzle and no one is willing to help me they continue to tell me that they cannot assist me anymore and that they have no further information about the refund. I feel like Sezzle has my refund and they’re not sending me my money back it is very unprofessional, and I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. be careful whenever you refund things back to your Sezzle account they might not give you your money back.
Decreased my spending limit while I haven’t missed a payment. Before I was totally for Sezzle; referring all I know to it and telling them to just make your payments on time of before the due date and they will give you more lead way on your spending power and most of all it’s very very convenient especially when you purchase the anywhere spending premium as I have. Needless to say it has back fired on me and decreased my spending limit by $450 and still decreasing all while I’m making on time payments and before only to be told by customer service or their representatives it’s on the computer it’s out of our hands. I told them that’s fraudulent!!! The computer only does what it’s programmed to do!!! So I may received more consequences with this review if so I’m okay with it. It was great while it lasted. I just don’t believe in getting punished for doing right and following all the requirements.
Good and Bad. I do enjoy the app but given that I pay for the anywhere membership I wish it had more perks for example when making a payment it was applied right away instead of taking days or not having TJ pay another fee for instant withdrawal. You would think that would be apart of the anywhere program. Also I made an early payment, not even due anytime Soon but clicked the wrong card. It was denied but of course I removed that card and successfully made the payment. Instead of the system recognizing that it tells me it is a failed payment and it locks up my card for 3/4 business days. This app could get 5 stars and could be the best out there it’s just needs to fix those glitches. This app could easily bypass Klarna if it would just make some adjustments and have customer service that can actually help!
Disappointed. Sezzle used to be my #1 pay over time app. I’ve recommend it to so many people and have helped multiple family members create accounts. I used to be able to reschedule most of my payments 3 times and even pay a $5 fee if I needed to do any further reschedules. Some time during the pandemic it switched from 3 to 1 reschedules. And now I don’t even have the option to pay for a reschedule. Which I would totally utilize if they still had it. I just tried to reschedule one of my March payments and there is now no option to “reschedule all future payments” like there used to be. Now when I reschedule I only have the option to reschedule 1 payment and then it makes the very next payment due the following day…… i don’t know why this is happening and or if this is normal. I hope you reconsider taking away the “reschedule all future payments” feature
Worst customer service. Since they’ve changed to charging cards on the first purchase I have not been able to use my Sezzle. I never had one problem before. I tried reaching out to customer service on multiple occasions and couldn’t get through. When I finally did get through I got three different explanations. First, I was told that my card wasn’t processing and to call my bank. My bank said everything was fine. Second, I was told my bank and there bank was having trouble pinging and that a lot of there customers were having that trouble and they didn’t know when it would be fixed. Third, I was told that my payment was processing and I couldn’t order when another payment was processing, which is a lie because I’ve placed orders before while other payments process. You can never reach customer service. They have become incompetent and the worst.
Convenient and Easy. This has been a super convenient and easy way to help rebuild my credit. Regular credit cards are too dangerous for me since you can use them anywhere and on anything. I like that I’m actually limited to where I can use this card, and that it splits the individual purchase into four payments instead of rolling all purchases into one total which for me holds me way more accountable with my spending. I can see how some of those things might cause someone to not want to use Sezzle but if that’s the case there are plenty of other cards that work like a traditional credit card. I needed something different that would help rebuild my credit score. Sezzle Up has been perfect for me.
LOVE IT!. I’ve been using Sezzle for quite some time now and I truly love it! I’m a huge fan of seeing my bank account not be depleted by a big purchase and like to spread my payments out overtime lol. So Sezzle makes this very easy for me and the amount of stores I’ve discovered is insane! They have some pretty great stores to choose from that I’ve already sort of become best friends with lol. Other than that I love that fact that you are able to reschedule payments if you need a little more time as well. The other big thing for me is that each time I pay something off they keep increasing my available spending budget which is pretty sweet! Love using sezzle and will continue to use it for as long as I can!
Sezzle kept saying I owed when I paid. So I recently deleted sezzle due to them not letting use the app after I paid off all my payments. Had a payment that was late but when I paid it off i could no longer buy anything even though I still had a $1000 dollar limit with $0 balance. I emailed shopper support over and over getting the same bot response. My wife had the same problem when she emailed shopper support they fixed hers and said their was a glitch. She used half of her balance then it locked her out again!!! You can not actually talk to people and get a real response so if something happens you are screwed. You take a big risk using sezzle. It’s nice for awhile until you have a problem. I ended up getting an email from my creditors saying I needed to pay on my Sezzle account when I owed nothing and had proof. Was forced to dispute the charges all because I couldn’t actually talk with a person. Now when I leave this review they will say email shopper support! What a joke. Sezzle is not worth the risk
Cancelled order. Tried placing an order with target was immediately cancelled by target as soon as i pressed place order. Funds were still taken from my account and still haven’t returned it’s day 3. Spoke to a rep that literally admitted that it never went through on their side (meaning they never actually covered the purchase) but they still had my money on a hold. When asked why, she said that’s just how the system is and says it shouldn’t even take the 3-5 business days to credit back to my account. Well day 3 still no refund. PLEASE USE KLARNA OR ZIP if anything like that happens your money goes back as soon as the transaction cancels or declines! If i had money to throw away or wait for i clearly wouldn’t be using this service. Kinda is counterproductive to making things affordable when you can’t even operate like the superior other services available. Only tried this app because the credit line was larger but trust me never again.

Terrible Customer Support. Listen, the app is convenient. The support team member “Elena” is not. I am simply asking if they’re able to either update my account info or just close my account since i cannot log in anymore. I cant use the “update ph#” button because it said it sent a reset link to an email address that i no longer can log into because i forgot the password so i made a new one. So i cant reset any personal information in the account and cant log in. I just need a simple request of closing my account or update my info for me but they respond with please refer to the steps in the previous email. Which is log into sezzle on a web browser and hit forgot phone number. Its annoying, like I know forgetting my emails password is my fault but these things will happen and if customers get into this situation, it should be easy to take care of.
Great alternative to pay.. I found about this app in Limited Run Games (a gaming website) and at first I was kind of skeptical, and concerned, about it; but then I decided to take a chance to see how it would work out. I also thought it was going to be confusing but this app it pretty straight forward. It gives an alternative easy way to pay expensive items by distributing the prices to small amounts once every two weeks so you won’t have to pay the entire price in just one big amount. You don’t even need to have credit to pay for the items which makes it even better.
Terrible app. My second time using Sezzle and the last. I was shopping at Touch if Modern using the Sezzle app and went through the entire checkout process chose to use Sezzle as my payment than sent back to Sezzle to enter my phone number and pin than verified that my ship to address was correct submit my request, the payment from debit card was instant which I saw in real time however I get a error message asking for my date of birth a second time and when I entered it again it tells me there’s a problem with Sezzle and use a different payment method. Meanwhile my cart has expired, the initial payment has been debited from my checking account yet the order didn’t go through. If I could give this payment platform 0 stars I would. I hate this app, it’s a complete waste of time and I will be letting vendors that I shop with know that Sezzle is difficult, time consuming and makes using them as a payment source is bad for business.
Very Cool App!. I saw an option to pay using Sezzle when I was checking out at one of my favorite boutiques... I was intrigued so I downloaded the app. Wow! There were so many unique places to shop! I look forward to trying it out as another payment option. One suggestion I’d like to make to the App creators is: Adding a ❤️ “like” or “favorite” option to the merchants store/site would allow them to be saved for shoppers to go back to at a later time. I found so many store I want to check out but didn’t have the time, so if I could “like it” it would populate into my favs for later. Right now it a lot of scrolling to find the store through the category if you don’t remember all the store names.
Joke. I opened the account and was told that I was approved for 100 dollars and would increase after first purchase. I use after pay all the time and thought I would try another one because you could add the virtual cars to Apple Pay. So I added the card to my Apple Pay about an week ago… haven’t heard anything from Sezzle. Today I went to dicks sporting good to get some shoes and used Afterpay and target was right beside. Went in to get some AirTags and went to check out and got declined. Then I received a text saying they couldn’t approve me for the sezzle credit. So long story short… I had to spend money I didn’t have because they didn’t send me a notice before trying to use sezzle. So instead of spending 15 bucks on a 60 dollar purchase, I had to pay the entire amount or be embarrassed at the register. Im what society considers middle class and could have done without this stuff or ordered it off Afterpay. Make sure you are approved before going into a store cuz you could be disappointed
This is a amazing app for building up your credit!. I built my credit up by using sezzle up over 3 years or more now and I have gained around 100 points or more just buying one thing and paying in four installments every few weeks to a month, it doesn’t have to be a extremely pricy order just so you can get what you want to buy and have it report the payments to the credit bureaus. You have to have a credit card or bank acct to sign up with sezzle up and add your info but it’s worth it! It helped me get to my goal score faster at 750 and now I’m in the 800’s! Also after your starting balance the more you purchase the more your spending credit goes up over time! Thanks Sezzle for this great app!
Unless you want to get scammed…. I never leave reviews, especially negative ones but let me hopefully save someone from getting their money stolen like I did. If you’re thinking about using Sezzle, RUN. I tried to place an order through them with Ulta for some products, and the order never went through but they charged me for TWO different orders, each one over $100 and the order with Ulta never went through. I contacted ulta and they confirmed they never received an order. I tried contacting Sezzle customer support twice and was met with the worst customer service, I’d use names if they had given me one. They’re continuing to charge me for two different orders that don’t exist. This is fraudulent behavior, no business should charge a customer before an order is placed, let alone a duplicate one. Seriously, don’t do business with this company, they’re scammers.
“Improvements” are misleading & harmful. I’ve been with sezzle for a couple of years. Just before the app update, my limit was $2050, having just had an increase. I have always used my spend responsibly. I’ve NEVER maxed out my spend and have paid on time or early. Over the weekend, though, my limit suddenly dropped to $900. I have the Sezzle Anywhere subscription and when I called support, all they did was tell me that my limit was automated and I should pay my account on time to increase my limit. They gave me NO MORE HELP. And to add insult to injury, I’ve paid on my open orders since then and my limit has further decreased to $700. I used to be a fan, but this all feels predatory, misleading, and frustrating. And Customer support is awful and offers ZERO HELP. I can’t believe they treat their longtime customers like this, especially the ones that pay into their subscriptions.
AFTERPAY APP IS FREE WITH BETTER BENEFITS. This app is literally a clone of Afterpay model. Why would you waste your money paying for this service? Have you read their fees? I wouldn’t pay this company a dollar just because they try to charge you a five dollar failed pay fee. No company on this earth charges a fee if you have a failed payment. Let’s think about this, McDonald’s, Walmart, Publix, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Costco, all these companies have memberships to some extent or another some require fees for membership some do not. However, none of these companies charge you an extra five dollars for a failed pay. Policy is not law policy does not make it ethical to charge you five dollars, if your bank declines this charge because it appears to be fraudulent. This company should literally be shut down and whoever thought it was a good idea to try to charge people five dollar failed pay fee should be charged with treason and given a death sentence literally.
Random credit reduction. I used to really love this app but it’s severely gone downhill. I had a credit limit of $500 or $600. Never missed a payment. Haven’t used the reschedule payment option in months, and noticed about a month ago my total spending balance was reduced down to $250… weird. Then just the other day I went back on and saw that my spending balance was reduced down to $150! It also takes FOREVER for payments to post. It will prompt you to “pay down your balance,” or “pay off an installment,” to increase your spending balance / allow you to create another order from that merchant, but it doesn’t tell you that even if you do it that day you still probably can’t use your balance for another week. I have 1 more $17 payment with Sezzle and then the app will be gone for good. Customer service is also trash. You cannot talk to a real human, and I’m sure whatever bot responds to this will give me a bogus reason for my spending limits being reduced or tell me to contact their trash customer service. Done.
SEZZLE HAS GONE DOWN!. I’ve been using SEZZLE for about 4 years now and payments paid on time spending power was $1400 now im down to only $100 im really confused , I also always pay for a subscription to anywhere pay in 4 but it have been declining payments everywhere I usually use it. Now it’s saying theirs a waiting list for anywhere pay how ?? N I always get the subscription and y did my spending power go all the way down with them telling me to approve a order but don’t even approve it. I did love this app didnt mind paying the subscription fee but now it’s not useful anymore can’t purchase anything anymore crazy
Been with them since 2020. Honestly used to love Sezzle. They’ve never taken my limit down and never overcharged me. It hasn’t been until recently that I’ve started hating this app. I can’t contact customer service and then come back like they say. The conversation disappears. I receive emails but can’t seem to send anything back to them. Seems really terrible for someone just trying to get some help. This is a major flaw and honestly enough to make me not use it anymore. If I can’t contact customer service and stay in contact after I leave to app like they say I can, then what’s the point in “support”. Took the associate 4 mins to respond to me and by then the conversation was gone and had started a new one. There was no way for me to get my questions answered, no way to get help. I email back since that’s the only option I had and apparently that didn’t work as she emailed me back saying she’s stepping away as I hadn’t responded. Seriously a big let down. Would give it no stars if I could right now.
Constant Declined Payments/Bad Customer Service. Every time a payment is due, I get an “unknown error occurred” or “declined payment” I have been using sezzle for months and months, and I’m over this! I have gone back and forth with Venmo and Sezzle with every single payment and nothing has been taken care of on Sezzle’s end. It is nothing on Venmo’s end as I have plenty of funds with every payment and they’re not declining or blocking payments that are due to Sezzle. Venmo and I have spoken about every transaction and they know that none of the payments are fraudulent. They have also made it known that I don’t have pending charges that would hinder Sezzle taking their payment. I can change the payment method between two cards and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Each and every time that I contact Sezzle, I either get the generic response or no response at all. I keep all emails and can prove the no responses. It just makes no sense to contact customer support if they can’t fix what’s wrong, like ever or just flat out don’t respond. While I love the convenience of Sezzle and the payment plans (which comes in handy) I am thoroughly disappointed in the payment system and customer service. I last contacted customer service on 8/6 to Jack from Shopper Support and he didn’t respond to the reply to the email. How can YOU fix this?!
Amazing Application and Customer Service. I can’t recommend this service enough. Sezzle has quickly become my favorite form of payment when not using cash. The application is constantly updating to provide a better shopping experience each time. I can’t express how much my family has benefited from joining the Sezzle family. I encourage you to shop responsible, Pay your bills on time and get what you love while increasing your credit score! Again, this has been a blessing in my like... especially during times like these. No hassle goes a long a way. Please take the time and join the sezzle family you won’t be disappointed.
Peddlers of privacy. Before I signed up for Sezzle I rarely ever got robo calls or scam texts but since I signed up I have been receiving a tremendous amount of scammer texts and calls. Thanks for selling my personal information to scammers… Six weeks isn’t very much time to make payments. I can buy myself four weeks just using my credit cards. I can see how sezzle could be useful for broke people with bad credit but this doesn’t hold a candle to something like a Lowe’s card that does nice payment options for stuff like lawnmowers, appliances and building materials. To me it’s just not worth having my personal information being sold to scammers. Oh and the monthly subscription made me laugh. Discover AMEX apple and more all charge me nothing to use their cards with way better benefits. If you want me I need a few hundred dollars welcome bonus and some 6,12,18 month 0% apr so I can get a new swimming pool or something.
Pray you don’t have problems with your order!. These guys have given me the run around. I never received my order. It’s been months they haven’t disputed the order or anything. They keep threatening to contact credit company and report me since I’m not paying for something I never got. I followed all steps they asked, contacted merchant like 7 times, called Sezzle support like 5 times.. yet still nothing done. Customer support has no idea what to even tell me when I call anymore. Pathetic. Update: they sent a response to this rating, saying go contact the merchant.. apparently they didn’t read my initial review where it said I tried contacting the merchant around 7 times.. but that review got my case disputed and closed with a refund in 2 days after posting it. If only they did their job the correct way from the beginning i wouldn’t have had to have posted a negative review about them.
One of the best pay later apps ever. For personal use, they have come through every time I needed to use them. Since covid money has been a little low and even though I needed things I didn’t have the money and Sezzle made it happen. Without worrying about my credit and extra fees I have been able to buy the things I need. As far as business, it works wonders, my customers can buy from me and pay later and for them it’s good because they still get what they ordered and it’s great for me because even though they haven’t paid the full amount yet I still get paid in full from Sezzle. I haven’t had any issues and I just got an approval to a higher spending limit so this is going to be great for my business needs. Thank you!!
Terrible customer service + waste of money. I used to be able to use sezzle on every app before they require all the good stores to upgrade to their premium service. which kept declining even though all the banning information and my personal info was correct. after not paying back an installment that was canceled and fighting with their customer service and getting my bank involved, i was declined any further service due to a single payment i wouldn’t pay off, eventually i did pay it back and have over $900 in spending power which i can’t use. the customer service team on this app had me going in circles every single one of them giving different answers making the situation incredibly frustrating. i do not recommend using this site if you miss a payment for they will deny you any service even when you pay them back the amount you owe. the most unprofessional and worst i’ve ever received as someone who has worked in customer service for years.
Empty gift card and not reporting correctly to credit. They don’t answer the phone at customer service. I went to auto zone, set up a gift card through Sezzle, and it couldn’t be used because it has a zero balance. So now I owe Sezzle money for an empty gift card. Not cool. I then stopped paying Sezzle because they’re fraud. They reported to all credit bureaus that I haven’t paid them. I’m building my credit and paid them off on November 18th 2021. It’s now December 18th and they’ve yet to clear this from my credit. They claim they report to the bureaus monthly on their website. That is false. The last time they reported was October 2021. They were only on my transunion, and now just in the past few days, they’ve reported to Experian and equifax still saying I haven’t paid them. I’ve created disputes with all credit bureaus. Equifax states that they verified my debt with Sezzle and closed my dispute without removing it. I’ve recently made a complaint with the better business bureau. If this is not removed from my credit soon, I WILL contact a lawyer. Whatever you do, don’t trust Sezzle. They will rip you off and they have done it to many customers. I talked to many other people on social media with the same problems. Also whatever you do, DO NOT let them report to your credit. Their customer service is nearly non existent and simply a really lazy company in general. I will never ever use Sezzle again and I haven’t used them in a year now.
Don’t try to make payments ahead of time.. i wanted to like sezzle as much as i like klarna and afterpay, but when i tried to make a payment ahead of time it would send me a confirmation email, deduct the money from my bank account, BUT THEN STILL PULL OUT MONEY ON THE DATE I PAID AHEAD FOR!!! this isn’t good if you’re a person who likes to budget your money like me. usually i wouldn’t be upset, but i have other bills to pay for as well and a set budget. it makes me mad that i pay ahead of time, get the money deducted from my account, but when the original due date rolls around they deduct the money from my account for the next payment, which i already paid ahead for. so just beware if you pay ahead for a date, you will still have a payment due on that date. i would recommend going with klarna or afterpay. sorry for sounding like a karen lol.
Amazing!!!!. I am absolutely jumping up and down this morning. I’ve been buying $75-$100 Starbucks gift cards and making on time payments. Today my credit score (Transunion) went up 87 points. Just from making a small $25 payment every two weeks for something I would be purchasing anyways. I didn’t realize they report to a credit bureau just for making on time payments. I was shocked they even approved me having bad credit. But this has turned my life around and makes me want to keep using just to improve my credit. It’s helping my credit with the payment history as well. Thank you Sezzle!
Doesn’t require credit but is still affordable.. I like the markets that take Sezzle payments but I do wish there were more but I kind of get why it’s limited. They don’t require credit so you’re not gonna be able to make huge purchases and definitely not from typically expensive brands like Apple or Nike or whatever but I do like they do work with. A lot of them I wouldn’t have really known about if I hadn’t been searching through their stores. I would say that it would be nice to build credit with Sezzle as you make payments. I’ve completed all my payments on time or more often - early. It would be nice if they kept track of progress like that so we could prove we’re able to responsibly pay back larger purchases.
Pay Wall killed the App. Sezzle was great when I first started using it and like most people I love having the option to pay later for purchases, however, the Pay Wall you’ve introduced to your app has killed it for myself and many others. Trying to run things like EA Games runs their company is sad. Get rid of the requirement for needing premium (if you can even be eligible for the service) to be able to shop at two of the world biggest retailers. It’s absolutely asinine. I’ll be sticking with Zip and AfterPay at least they don’t require a Pay Wall to TRUELY shop anywhere! Your generic support response is pathetic as well. You don’t actually care to listen to the people that are upset with your switch to needing to pay for “premium” retailers. If you TRUELY cared for your customers you switch it back to how it was before not continue to microtransaction people left and right.
Sezzle review. I love Sezzle! It’s so convenient when you don’t have quit enough money at the time you find that perfect gift for someone or yourself. No extra fees, 4 payments done! Honestly I wouldn’t have purchased some items, but split up into little payments it’s “Okay, this is great now I can afford it.” I call Sezzle my little micro-loans. It’s really nice to not put on your credit cards because it comes out of bank account. Thanks Sezzle for helping me pay down my credit cards by not having to use them as much. Sezzle is safe & secure. Never had a problem. I’ve even finished payments & took bank card off my account. Then if you ever need them they’re (Sezzle) still there.
No.. This company will dock your spending power with no explanation. I’ve had multiple orders, with payments pay either ahead of the scheduled due date, or on the exact due day. I’ve never had a missed payment, I’ve never had a late payment. Yet, my spending power is significantly lower than when I first started. Despite raising this issue with customer service multiple times all you will get is the same regurgitated answer saying they have no control over the spending power. Really? I know the developers on the backend could make it so that customers aren’t punished and docked for no reason. I know the developers on the back end could implement a way to manually change spending power. They simply just choose not to. If you cannot explain why your computing system is randomly punishing good customers, then you obviously have a problem that needs fixing. If you do not understand your own product or the way it works something is seriously wrong. Do not think you will get a solution to any problem you have, you won’t. They’ll just give you the run around until you get irritated and just decide to give up. The app started off good. Between the randomized spending power fluctuations, and the subscription to shop at certain stores, it’s lost its appeal. Don’t trust this company to care about you as a customer.
Poor Customer Service. Overall I love this app. My negative experience came from a customer service call. I asked if I upgraded to pay anywhere if I could pay in store at Walmart. A representative told me yes, however, when I checked out, my app didn’t work. Super upset! I paid for the upgrade and didn’t get the perks. I immediately reached back out to Sezzle and still haven’t recieved a response. Super frustrating for an app I pay monthly for. When I added this feedback to another site hoping to get a helpful response, “Sezzle” replied with, “try lowering the amount of what you’re purchasing or pay off some of your past purchases. All of my accounts were and are current. I still had spending power. That is not helpful feedback or customer service support when you are in line with items bagged and ready to leave and cannot pay for said items the way you were informed you could.
Worst customer service! Company is SHADY!. This company is unfortunately not good with customer service. I reached out two weeks ago and had three different customer service people hang up on me. I tried calling all day Saturday and no one picked up. I called Sunday and no one picked up. I then tried to chat and once I brought up my issue they ended the chat. Then yesterday I chatted with support on another issue and he as soon as I brought the issue from last week he ended the chat. This gives off very skeptical vibes of your company and it is not a good feeling. Update: we are now going on over two weeks of being able to get help, a supervisor and my issue resolved. This company is shady!!!!
