I lost the app??. I bought this app, regardless of the price, because I had the book that went along it. I haven’t looked at in a while but I just scheduled my LCSW test and went to open the app and all I get is a black screen with no explanation? It doesn’t even give me the opportunity to re-order? I am very frustrated!!

App Stopped working. I’ve only used it for two days and the app stopped working!

Review. I have had this app for about six months and I think it’s easy to navigate. However, I would like a way to flag where I’ve left off from reading certain sections. Also, I have only been given one quiz with the same questions.

False advertising. I am very frustrated by the fact that I spent loads of money on the books that advertise access to the app and do not in fact provide access to anything useful. Major false advertising.

App Doesn’t Work. Just got the app, and the screen is frozen. I cannot click on anything.

Can’t access. After downloading it is like the link is broken and when I try to go into the app it just takes me right back to my homepage

Many opportunities for practice. I’ve been using this app for the past month now and I love how many practice questions if offers. Additionally, it provides great explanations to every question!

Ok working app. Having the app is useful, but it is unfortunate that I cannot sync my progress. The app does not allow you to pick up where you left off and navigating the different sections can be confusing if you are not sure where you are. The content should be more fluid and one should have the option of continuing to study the material without backtracking to the main menu. Also, please add “pick up where left off” option. While I found the reminders helpful, it is pointless if I don’t know where to pick up. Following and studying the content in the book was much easier.

Great practice questions. Useful information

Does not have accessibility features in app. Text to speech or voiceover accessibility is not options with this app. Shame that a social work exam prep app is not inclusive for all type of learners! Of all apps that should have this ability, it should be this one!

LSW. This app is awesome! It extremely helpful for studying all domains of social work.

Review. I like the app. I would like it more if it had the ability to bookmark my last spot. As of now, it starts you over each time. The app doesn’t allow for notes either. One thing that kind of bothered the OCD in me is how one part of the app is not written in the order of the actual book. I noticed it because it confused me with my orders note cards when I got to that section. Overall, it’s handy to have when you don’t want the book, or to supplement the it. I keep the book by me so I can write notes and keep up with where I ended my last session.

Suggestions. First, I’m finding this app pretty helpful. I love that it breaks content areas down into units and seems to explain concepts differently than how they are usually explained. However, I think this app could be awesome with a few improvements. 1. I wish we had the ability to bookmark where we leave off. 2. It would be great if there were a notes section on each topic and the ability to highlight content for easier studying. 3. More quiz questions!!! I’m not sure how much good answering 50 questions a day does if they are all repeat questions. 4. More than one practice exam. I love that the content is informative, but I would hope to get more exams/practice for $100.

I passed but Horrible prep. In the end, I passed but not because of the prep guide. I read and used every part of the app. Yes, I may have learned a handful of things from the app that was on the test, but most of info way too specific. I spent hours memorizing this info. It does not help you focus on what you need to know imo.

Super helpful. I find that this book is helpful with explanations why your answers were wrong, and where to look to review. My only dislike is that I paid an extra $40 for the test and it’s the exact same as the paperback book. If you bought the book, don’t buy the test!

Crashes constantly. This app needs major improvements. I bought the book initially about 8 months ago and did some light studying back then. It seemed to work fine. Now I can’t even get the app to open because it shuts back down immediately. Customer service has not been helpful. They give me steps to sync the app to my profile which is not the issue I’m having. I can’t even open the app! I wish I could use it.

Never lets me sign in. I got this app a while back ago to help me prepare for my exam and now it doesn’t even let me sign in. I’m just gonna use the book and web version. The bugs for this app need to get fix and considering how much all of this cost!

Progress?. I bought the app on Sunday. I have my test in less than a month and I’ve been getting through the practice test. When I go to look at “progress”, it is not recording any of my questions answered or if I got any correct or incorrect. I think this is a glitch so I immediately email support. It’s been nearly a week and haven’t heard anything back. I paid ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. FOR AN APP. One that is faulty and no one seems very interested in being helpful.

I passed!!!!!!!. I used the app daily and I passed the exam!!!!! I highly recommend using it and purchasing the upgrades!!!

Disappointed. Disappointed because these are the same questions in the ASWB Practice Exam book.

App does not work. I heard so many good things about this app but it is not working for me and I have the latest update. All I see is the blue and white title page and the app has not changed screens so that I can start studying. It’s frozen on that screen.

Crap. The app won’t open ... saw several comments with the same issue ....paid a lot of money to have the boom and access to the app and was a complete waste of time

Review. I think this app is extremely helpful and I like how it gives you explanations after questions, the reason behind the correct answer and the reason it’s not the other answers. I also like that the app keeps track of your weak areas as well as mastered areas so that you can focus your time on the areas you need to do better in. One thing I would have liked to have, and think is highly beneficial, is the ability to bookmark my spot. I had to take screenshots of the topic area and sub-area each time I exited the app so I’d remember where I left off. Overall, this app is a great tool to have and I’m glad I have it!

Question. It only gives you one question. I thought it would quiz me with one question each day, not only one total.

Unclear on costs. I have the free app, and it seems okay - but do I get all three (BSW, LMSW, and LCSW) test preps for $99 or just the one I use the upgrade option on? Please add this information to the upgrade option. David

Texas LMSW exam prep. Working full time didn’t make it possible to spend months covering material to refresh years of academic work. After wasting money on other materials, a fellow graduate recommended this program. Information was concise and explanations thorough. I was able to maximize my time to get the best results. I’d recommend this course to everyone and it was half the cost of most others.

Passed my test!. I purchased the exam book to study and i immediately knew that this would not be enough for me. I maybe read two pages of my book and relied heavily on this app to help me study. I passed my exam no issue!!

App Constantly Crashes. Wish I could use the app but it shuts down before it even opens. Helpdesk said to uninstall/reinstall, which didn’t work. Then they suggested I use the website which is fine, but still—the app does not work.

The most wonderful and organized study guide.. I really enjoy this study guide. It is well organized and fits my style. It motivates me to study even when I am tired.

Alternative to reading the book. I bought the premium version of this app because of the additional diagnostic questions specified for each unit. Not worth it. The questions are formulated poorly and I found them to be incomplete. I purchased the study guide provided by the ASWB and the questions are nothing like the unit diagnostic questions here. The study material is good. However, you cannot save your reading progress, make notes, or highlight desired paragraphs if you chose to. The only benefit I really see to purchasing this is if you cannot sit down to read the book.

Awesome app!!!. I emailed customer service to inquire about the app freezing. They responded back expediently and corrected the issue. This app is by far the best for studying. It’s thorough, detailed, and also gives some great tips/strategies. Definitely worth the money!

App doesn’t open. Title screen flashes and then the app closes. I checked to see if there is an update.. nothing. Update: Email they sent me with how to fix the issue. Repeated questions. I paid $20 for the app and questions are constantly being repeated during my quizzes. Very disappointed as my exam is close and I do not have the funds to pay for expensive study material.

Don’t get the books and app. Just choose one!. I thought the app would be a supplement to the book with additional questions, so even though I bought the comprehensive hard copies of the study books, I wasn’t given full access to the app unless I bought that too. What a disappointment! The app is super clunky and offers nothing in addition to the books. I was going through the app’s diagnostic questions and then learned they were the SAME questions as the additional practice test in one of the study books which I had been saving to take! I am so bummed, I feel like I wasted money. If you are only using the app it’s fine, but if you get the books, it’s not worth the purchase.

App won’t open. Wanted to study tonight using the app on my iPad but it just opens quickly then closes. I reinstalled the app..... wasn’t helpful. I called the helpline and got a message to call back later. Pretty frustrating 🤷🏼‍♂️

I can not access my purchased download app or even computer?!. Why? I could not download app on my iPhone. After a couple of emails. I could read on my computer. Now! I can not access online on my computer, it always said that my email and password combination is incorrect, which I saved on my computer as default. And I never received any email to let me retrieve my password, which means I purchased this program, but unable to use it either on my phone or computer! A joke?

It’s okay. You can take it on the go which is great for a working parent who wants to study and be part of society. However, it doesn’t save your page and since the update my app stopped working.

Misleading. Questions are repeated constantly. This app advertises 510+ questions but I have consistently been getting the same questions. These are often easy questions that I have repeatedly answered correctly. There should be an option that you can select to not be shown this question again.

Won’t work on my iPad. I updated my iPad software, uninstalled the app, and then reinstalled the app—still doesn’t work. Tried to contact the web developers on their website and received an error message. Get the book instead.

Keeps crashing. App keeps crashing. Was hoping to continue my studying tonight transitioning from the book to the app. But app opens quickly, then immediately crashes, then back to my home screen 😞

Top Tier Customer Service. I was experiencing some issues with my progress not syncing. So, I reached out for support and they were beyond helpful. They followed up on multiple occasions to ensure the app was running smoothly. This app has also been super helpful as I get my feet wet with studying for my license again. It’s also super accessible and I can study anywhere.

Strongly Recommended. I used the ASWB Prep App. It’s $100 but worth it. Mainly because as you progress through the ebook it repeats things in a logical way so it reinforces what you already read which improves the chances of remembering it. Then after you read a section you can go do the diagnostic questions which further reinforces what you have just read. Plus the diagnostic questions give you and explanation which tell you how to answer various types of questions. This further reinforces the information. I highly suggest the app if used according to how memory works.

Great Test Content. I love the content, it’s very thorough and challenging. The app questions are good and I love that you can see the rationale, but the app crashed a lot for me and at some point my daily questions ceased, this happened close to my test date and it drive me crazy. I kept being logged out and having to log back in. If you guys can fix these issues I think you’ll have a solid contender here.

Not worth the money. The free trial provides a whopping 1 Quiz with 4 questions. Study guides and practice tests can be checked out from your local library for free so you don’t need to spend $100 on an app, $100 on a practice test and what ever other money they are trying to get out of you. Being a student is financially burdening enough let alone the high cost of study materials for the Social Work Licensing Exam. Use your free resources!

Pros: Essentially the entire textbook in handheld format All text made easily accessible Con: Same 4 practice test questions For someone who finds the practice tests very helpful, the same 4 questions over and over are more of an irritant than helpful. Practice test questions that maybe changed daily or at least had a larger amount of questions would be so much more helpful than this.

Passed on First Try. I wrote my ASWB Bachelor text yesterday - it has been 20 years since I took my first SW classes, but I moved and so I now needed to pass the ASWB exam. I studied this book cover to cover, understanding every sentence, but no need to memorize since it is a mc test. It is the questions in the app that really made the difference. I also paid to do the ASWB practice test. It took me a bit of practice to figure out how to turn off my working knowledge and just rely on the info from Apgar. The test is frustrating, the skills needed to pass the test are opposite to the skills needed to be a good SWer. However, the material in this app is what you need to pass the test, I did a lot of studying and now I can put it behind me!

Not free at all. Bought the book from amazon with the “FREE” access code. When you go to the access area it’s either a blank screen or you have to upgrade the app for $100. I can read the book and do the practice questions. So why would I want to pay an additional $100. On top of the 100. I just paid for a book. Makes no sense. Pocket prep works great and costs $15.00. Additionally YouTube Philip Latrell he explained the questions and breaks down them much better then this over priced app for FREE.

Downloaded the free version..... I downloaded the free version to consider if I would upgrade. The free version does not offer much & I feel the standard & premium versions are overpriced.

Constant Crash. I got the book and used the code to download the app, but it crashes before the app even opens. Not sure why, if my phone is too old, or if there is even a solution but, it’s disappointing.
