Gender NEEDS to be Included with Drops. I hate to be this harsh because I really do enjoy the app. I use it for Spanish and Japanese, but I really can’t rely on it for Norwegian. Norwegian is a gendered language, and it impacts the way it functions quite heavily. If I am learning nouns, but don’t know their gender, the learning process is pretty much futile. Please, devs at drops! I saw a comment raising the same issue three years ago, yet nothing has been done. If it weren’t for this ignorance, it would be a five stars from me. It’s quite a shame.

Best language learning app ever!!!. I love this app! It has helped me learn a variety of languages, such as Norwegian, Icelandic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, German, and Turkish! It’s an optimal app for language learning, because it has interesting categories, and exercises to help remember the new vocabularies.

What kind of Norwegian am I learning?. So I am planning to move to Norway, but I can't tell if this is Nynorsk or Bokmål. I don't really care, i just wish the app would tell you. Otherwise, the app is amazing. It's just that you also need to wait 10 hours between lessons or pay for the subscription. Visuals are great and you can go back and look at all the words you've learned. If you don't have time for long drawn out lessons, these ones are only 5 minutes. Great app.

wish i could buy a full version. Wish i could just pay for the app instead of only being able to use for 5 minutes at a time

Amazing. Love this app for learning! Very intuitive, and easy to use. Makes learning language fun and easier. It would be great if you were able to have a few flash cards of the words you learned that day to reference and practice until your next session is available!

Norwegian language. This app is great! I am learning new terms for food, and it is going well. I recommend this app because it helps you to memorize what words you want to learn.

Grammatical gender?. I like Drops as an app in and of itself (especially for casually studying languages I don’t have the time to completely devote myself to)... but is there a reason none of the Norwegian nouns have a matching article to help indicate their gender, the way other Germanic and Romance languages do? E.g., en måne, en fot, et brød, etc. Grammatical gender does still have influence in Norwegian (for example... knowing what version of “a” to use before a noun), even if it’s not AS important as in, say, German. Not even getting into feminine nouns, which yeah you don’t have to know but if you can learn that something can be ei jente at the same time you learn jente, why wouldn’t you? It just makes the Norwegian course kinda useless, since if you’re going to learn nouns in a language with grammatical gender of some kind, you NEED to learn what its gender is at the same time. A mention somewhere that this is specifically for Bokmål and not Nynorsk probably wouldn’t hurt, either.

I LOVE IT!. I love this app! It’s fun and colorful and makes it really easy to retain the information you are learning! For the first time in a very VERY long time I am genuinely excited about learning! However, because of this I don’t want to put down the app and it can be very frustrating if u do buy unlimited learning time!

It’s more fun than candy crush!. This is like playing a really fun game that is very easy and works well for those visual and hands on learners. I’ve struggled with languages in the past because of it being hard to learn it in a hands on approach. The visuals, cues, and involvement keep you busy having fun and learning!

Excellent Vocabulary / Vocabulary Review game!!. I have used both Korean and Norwegian forms and they both are equally helpful. It makes learning so much simpler and fun - thanks a million to the creators who made this happen - quality, free language learning services are not often this readily available!

Good app. I was skeptical because it had so few downloads but it turns out it’s a great app! It teaches you words and how to spell them in a fun and interesting way. It also has barely any adds which just makes it even better!

Word pronunciation. Could there be a way to also show the word pronunciation in English as well instead of just showing and saying the Norwegian word?

Finally a easy learning app.. I’ve tried Duolingo for YEARS but couldn’t deal with how my dyslexia would get in the way of my spelling in some of the games. This one is so easy and dyslexic friendly. 10/10 recommend to anyone who needs it.

#Norwegian Learner. I really like this app I’ve tried other apps but this one seemed to be the most successful so far I enjoy the way it makes new words sink in before adding more to your vocabulary, I mostly prefer when it gives the fill in the blanks and letter connects but I do wish less help is offered because what be the point of learning if hints simply give the answers away. Thank You for this app I have fun learning.

First day on the app. The app does a very good job of keeping you engaged. It throws words at you to match up with images. This makes it pretty easy to memorize and I am happy with it so far.

This is wonderful!. My friend recommended me to learn Norwegian, so that’s what I’m doing! There’s barely any ads, which I find fantastic as it is easier to learn that way. Though, I dislike how we have to wait 10 hours for my next lesson! Anyways, to sum this up, I love this app but maybe it needs a bit of improvement! (Also, I’m a kid so my formatting may be a bit off.) Bye!

As I’m half Norwegian I’ve decided to learn. This app is amazing! I already know some Norwegian words now like fokost wich means breakfast! This app makes it supper easy for anyone to start learning, they repeat words enough to where you come off pretty confident that within maybe a day you will have the words 80% if not 100% down! Only thing I don’t like is that if you pay you get more time to learn, however I hate this with most apps, so I’ll take off some points but hardly anything. I gave this app 4 stars but really I think it’s four and a half stars

Doesn’t work for me anymore. I get an error telling me that drops failed to load and sends a diagnostic report? Happening for the past few months. The app used to be really good when it worked. Can’t recommend it anymore.

Avis sur l’appli. C’est une super appli. Je connais maintenant beaucoup de mots en norvégien, ça fait quelque mois que j’ai l’appli et j’ai seulement le droit à 5 min par jour. C’est super! Le seul point négatif que j’ai trouvé c’est que pour pouvoir faire des cours pendant plus de 5 min il faut payer. Mais sinon c’est une super appli je la recommande vraiment a tout ceux qui veulent apprendre une langue rapidement.

animations. the animations take up the majority of the time...also i'm an intermediate level learner and i knew all of the words they gave me. would help with vocabulary, but definitely not the only step to learning. learning will take extra effort.

Fun and engaging. A unique approach to learning a new language that uses visual and auditory cues. Haven’t been using for long, but so far I really enjoy the lessons.

Needs a no time limit for free. I want to learn Norwegian but it only lets you go for 5:00 and it makes you wait 10 hours for five more to make you want to pay. If you pay it will be expensive do not pay, but everything else is worth it.
