Nice app too have. If you follow the creators instructions on the first negative review this app is very accurate. I have distances pre ranged in my stand but wanted something to make sure when I was questioning myself and my little brother had my range finder. I downloaded the app set the left slide bar to 18ft and ranged my pre marks and it is spot on. Could not be happier. Thank you very much. Also the tree line across from me is 120 yards out. This range finder app says it is 118 so all in all it’s pretty darn accurate past 40 yards when following directions

Hoping for it would work. Ok so I’m gonna have to agree with the previous buyers. This app is not accurate even you adjust the height accordingly. I was hopeful that it would work. It doesn’t work. It’s not accurate with even the simplest distance (flat ground). I would have to agree again a refund is in order. Both the previous reviewer and the developer sound believable but after seeing it for myself. Yes a refund is in order This app needs more R&D.

Not a bad app to play with. Even with some bad reviews I got it anyway and with the recommendations of the developer I was able to get it within 2 yards of being right. There is still more tweaking I can do.

Followed developer’s instructions. Followed the developer’s instructions for a known distance and height. It was not even close. Wanted it to work, but it was a waste of money.

Inaccurate. I bought this even though I had bad reviews. It is wildly in accurate! But it gives you a general range you can work off of.

They got my money. Its has a margin of error between 20-140 yds. Not exactly useful for bow hunting.

Not even close. My feeder at 25 yards reads it's at 5 yards. Waste of ten bucks. Not even close to accurate.

The app is inaccurate. I have tested this at 3 yards 10 yards 20 yards. The app said my 3 yard was 13 yards away my 10 yard was .9 yards and my 20 yard was 30 yards. The app is worthless do not get this app it is a waist of money and time!

Get what u pay for.. Not accurate at all. I have archery range set up in my back yard with yardage markers measured out, I can only get within a yard or two if I stand where I know the yardage actually is and play with the app. The slide bar and aiming it at the base of the target doesn’t do much to better the accuracy. Plus you have to remain absolutely still or it can throw it off over 10-15 yards. Would have been awesome if it worked but for 3 dollars it was worth a shot. I’ll try to get my money back. I did see the negative reviews but I’m hardheaded and wanted to see for myself. Hope this helps others. Oh by the way I believe this app is no different than the free measurement app that comes with the phone.

Life Saver!. Love it! Forgot the range finder in the truck! Downloaded this app! Set my tree stand height and I range a couple spots I had ranged before and knew the ranges and it was dead on! Range finder will just stay in the truck from now on!

Pathetic!. Shows two distances.. 86 yards and 1056 yards. Don’t waste your money

I thought I would try it. I followed the instruction, adjusting the slide bar for your hieght, and puttingt he cross hairs in the appropriate place. The readings were really off by about 20 yards. I wanted this to work.....

POS. Object that is 25 yards away clocked in at 3 yards. LOL. Don’t waste your money. Addendum reply to app owner: Did everything you said. Adjusted height, aimed at the base and still not even close. Total waste of time and money.

Doesn’t work. I set up my target 25 yards away and measured how high I was off the ground and pointed the cross-air at the bottom and it gave me 8 yards. Would’ve been really cool if it actually worked. Don’t bother buying it, it’s a waste of money!

Dude just read. If you are saying it’s not working you are bad at reading directions. Use it all the time, and I’m a hunting guide. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENTS ACCORDINGLY. AIM. AT. THE. BASE.

Nice try but no good. I would be cool with this app if it were close to giving an accurate distance... but its not even close ... i put my iphone 7 plus on a tripod, measured the height ... pointed the crosshairs at the base of the target at 1m ... 3m ... 10m ... 30m and 100 meters ... all of which were pre-measured to assure distance, as well as a flat surface item placed at each distance for targeting ... This app is good for the 3 meter distance but not even close on all others ... I wanted so bad for this to work, but IT DOES NOT WORK! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ... as a matter of fact, i would like to have my money refunded ... will dispute charge considering i didn't get what was advertised.

Close but not even. I would’ve been happy if it got even slightly close. But it doesn’t. I made sure the height was adjusted accordingly, and it couldn’t even get close to something that was 10m away. Kept saying 1m. Never actually got a receipt of any sort so can’t get a refund. Please don’t waste your money.

NOT ACCURATE. You get what you pay for and you should expect the app to perform as a true hunting range finder, but the distance is not even close to being correct. Would like to get my money back, but not expecting it.

Works like a champ once u figure it out. Pay attention to your elevations especially if your in hilly terrain. Flat ground and it’s a piece of cake to use!!! Stand elevation vs target elevation EX:on a hillside, to your left is maybe 21 ft down, to your right only 16 ft, in front of you 26ft, and behind you only 13 ft. If you’ve ever ran a laser or transit you’ll understand easily how this works. It’s pretty dam close!! I like it a lot!!

Not super impressed. This app is OK at best. Maybe on perfectly level ground it may work ok, but any bump really throws it off. Waste of $2.99, not accurate or applicable for hunting. If their was a way to return apps I’d be returning this one...

This app is terrible!. I accidentally left my range finder in my truck. I had a few spots marked already by my stand for distance and compared them. It is way off!! I want my money back. That’s crazy how off it is. Why would you even produce this app knowing it’s not even close to accurate

Not even close. Forgot rangefinder today hunting so paid for this app and its way off I can tell. I am usually good at judging but like confirmation and this isnt the answer when forgetting rangefinder. Smh

Does the job, but only in imperial.. Not too bad, but there doesn’t seem to be a metric setting. Everything is in yards. So I have to use my phone to make the conversions once I get the distance from this app. Pretty annoying. I’d love to see a metric setting added. I’ll add more stars to my rating if it appears.

Really great. Know it’s limitations!. This app gives correct measurements based on inputs on level ground. I assume that it uses the input height and the angle of the phone to make a trigonometric calculation of the range. Be aware that for a correct measurement the height should be above the animal’s feet. If you are 20 feet up in a tree stand on a steep slope, the proper height measurement for the app could well be significantly more (or less) than 20 feet. If you expect it to work as well as a $400 laser unit, you’re expecting too much, but as a stand-in to get a rough measurement it works really well if you understand it’s limitations.
