I love this game!. I have been playing this game for a few years now. I even go back and played it again and I do not even watch movies twice. I have also not written a lot of reviews but for this game of course. I appreciate the time and energy put into this upgrade. I also would have paid for it but really appreciate the kindness and generosity to the players. This is going to really help my long days working from my home office and then to the couch! I am so excited! I am so glad I signed up for the email alerts, something I rarely do also. True evidence that I love this game and the way it tests my mind.

Captivating and detailed craziness. There are few games that taunt me to go back to it frequently and see if I can go further in the goal. Entertaining due the drawings come to life and leave you begging to find the right item. Sounds of yelling to mechanical machines will give you clues that the choice is not far out. At first I was hesitate to play this due to the thought that it was seek and find. But the variety of themes and drawings keep you engaged and sometimes chuckling. As I have finished all the puzzles, I greatly look forward to seeing more .

Yup! It is awesome!. This game might be hard and addictive but man, is it fun!! I love it so much! I have only had it for about an hour but I still love it! There are no ads (that I know of) and there is never a time where I have to stop playing because of some stupid video of a game I know I am not going to purchase or download. I would download this game any day! The price is pretty high to be honest but later on, you find out that it is worth it!! This is the only app from this company but... I will keep looking into them for sure!! Like I said before: I would download this game anytime any day!

Love finding things? Then Hidden Folks is for you!. Just started playing today and I’ve got to say, although it’s cutesy style sets the tone for the wacky worlds you’ll explore, it doesn’t mean that you’ll find what you’re looking for very easily. I’ve spent hours on one level, many times putting the game down so I can come back with an open mind. It’s not as simple as seeing he object/person, sometimes they’re not in plain sight. Very fun game, and very challenging at times. Good luck, happy hunting! :)

This is FANTASTIC!. 1) It’s so nice that the developers have made this game a pay once and you’re done type of thing. As you can see—people are more than willing to pay for a quality game! I, for one, am so tired of this FREEMIUM in-app madness that has become of the App Store. Thank you! 2) Everything about this game is quality. I am having so much fun! I’m a bit addicted, I must say. I looked up and a whole hour had gone by while I played. I had no idea! 3) The sound effects are cute, and I LOVE the interactive nature of the game. This takes “hidden objects” to a whole other level. These things are really HIDDEN. You have to cut down bushes, look inside trees and even tap inside ANIMALS to find the items you seek. So much fun! Thank you so much for creating a quality game that is well worth the money! More devs should be like this lot! :-)

Played at MoPop in Seattle. I just got back from a trip in Seattle where I went to the museum of pop culture (MoPop). There was a video game exhibit with a bunch of Indie games and this was there. I was completely enamored by the simplicity that created such a finely detailed seek and find game. I immediately bought the app and have been playing it on our drive home. Well worth the money and haven’t had such a great time looking for items since Where’s Waldo!

Literally THE best search and find game. I cannot believe how well this game is made. For five dollars, I really didn’t think that this would be as enjoyable as I have found it to be. The graphics are so awesome, and the sounds are super funny. I love looking through the different stages, and I find that it takes me some time to finish each level, but so far I’ve never gotten frustrated from it. Everything about this game is super cute, and there really isn’t anything like it. The one and only thing that I think could be improved is adding color, but that’s really just a personal preference. If you’re debating whether or not to get it, I say it’s a must have 100%.

Perfect for Where’s Waldo Fans. This game is so fun and I fell in love with it as soon as I opened the app. As a kid, I loved Where’s Waldo, I Spy, Highlights, etc. Hidden Folks is a challenging grown up version. The adorable black and white world includes many settings (city, desert, jungle, campground, etc), detailed drawings, animated objects, and interactive controls (you open windows, cut down grass, look inside of logs and rabbit holes, and more). There is no clock or time limit and you can take as long as you want to complete a level. There are no ads, and nothing to distract you while you play. It’s a relaxing game, and even though it’s challenging, it’s not so hard that you get frustrated. You can tell the creators of this app worked very hard to make a visually appealing, quality game.

Meh. This game is okay. I love puzzle games and that is why this game was intriguing to me at first. I got to the desert scene and lost interest after spending way too much time trying to find things. And you cannot move on until you find the designated amount of items/people. This isn’t the kind of puzzle game where you use your brain to figure things out. You are looking and looking and looking for items/people Where’s Waldo style, however you are given clues. The clues they give for each item/person are part of the puzzle and I get that, but still...not worth the time it takes to be able to move on from one scene to the next. It would be nice if they incorporated some clues to help move the game along. I regret spending money on this one.

Where’s the Folks?. I love this game so much. I was so excited when the new puzzles were released, and admit I finished them as quickly as I could because it’s just so much fun to play. I yearn for new puzzles but can imagine the time and artwork that goes into each one. I appreciate Adriaan and his Developers, the Animators, Support personnel, and all the others that have made this game possible. It is by far my favorite App, and only one of two games that I have installed on my iOS Devices. Keep up the wonderful work. Hidden Folks is a gem just like all of the people that have created it.

Help. Ok I absolutely love the game and I almost have the entire base game done. I have found all the objects but for one,the reptile in the desert that’s in the cactus forest. I know where he’s supposed to be but he’s not there. I even looked up a walkthrough out of frustration and he’s always in the videos but he’s not in my game. Is it a bug? I play this on my iPhone and on my iPad and he isn’t there on either device. I would really like to complete the game fully but as of right now I can’t.

Just ok. Wish I hadn’t spent the money.. So I really wanted to like this game. Found it because I really like the two dots annual Halloween scavenger hunt and they say this game is what it was based off of. But there are just one too many small things in this game I don’t like that made me regret spending money on it. Had there been a trial play option before purchase I wouldn’t have bought it. For one thing, you can’t zoom out to see the whole map. It makes it hard to go from area to area since each level is very spread out. Also, some of the objects are SO tiny they are not even fun to look for since they are ridiculously hard to spot. This is made worse by the fact everything is black and white. Please add some color! But I do like the interactive features of being able to move objects on the map, open doors etc. and the cryptic hints for each object to find are fun too. Overall this game has lots of potential but still a ways to go before I would enjoy it enough to spend the money or recommend to others.

Love it. I'm a big fan of "hidden object" games and grew up with Where's Waldo? This game has the best of both those world's. The clues are clever and make you have to think but not to the point you start to get frustrated. At first I was a little stand-offish about paying $3.99. I read some of the one star reviews and saw so many people basically complaining about a small company trying to support itself, then reading the developer's comments stating exactly that, that they have mouths to feed, I couldn't help but lend my support. I plan on purchasing the extra level as well once I get far enough. Keep up the good work everyone!

Delivers. It delivers what it says it will but maybe it’s not my kind of thing. It’s calm, that’s for sure, but that’s ok. Persistance, sure. I can do that; I can locate 216 countries on the globe (tiny islands can be time consuming) and can identify their flags as well as states, provinces, micro-nations (you know, like Sealand)... I can listen to other stuff while doing this, right? I dunno... I get obsessed with finding that LAST critter or person and it makes me crazy. Maybe I need a momentary hint; a glow, a flash of color, a ghost-like apparition to appear over the darned thing because I can spend as long on the last SINGLE item as on everything else in the region combined and it makes me want to close up the app and go learn Esperanto instead. Or Korean. Probably Korean. Esperanto is too bizarre.

Such An Awesome Game😍. Please just do yourself a favor and get this game. If you’re tired of all the lame freemium games out there and want to spend your money on a quality one-time-purchase product, this is your game. The amount of detail and effort the developers put into creating this game is astounding. It’s extremely fun to play and it’ll keep you occupied for hours. It’s actually very challenging to complete every stage to its entirety but never frustrating. I have no complaints about this game besides the fact that I just wish there were like a hundred stages because it’s so fun but new levels are on the way so I’m stoked for that! Anyways, this game is amazing and worth every penny; I’m waiting for the beach levels like a 10 year old waiting for Santa to come on Christmas eve. 10/10 game.

Not for me, maybe for you. This game wasn’t for me. I thought perhaps that the aesthetics might appeal, but I got bored too quickly. I supported this developer because this looked like a quality game; and it is. If you like Spot-the-person games then I guarantee this will exceed your expectations. The sheer quality shows in every detail; still, you have to like spotting games first. I was attracted to the unique visuals, and I guess that blurred my judgement a bit, but that’s my fault alone and I do not regret supporting this developer. A second note — if you intend to play this game on a phone, it feels a bit daunting to have all that detail splash in your face. There’s zooming though. Still, I highly recommend purchasing for the iPad instead. It will make a lot of difference. That’s what I’m planning on doing — downloading on my iPad and perhaps playing with a friend. Two pairs of eyes is better than one :)

Worth the money. Excellent game. Brings me back to the days of where’s waldo. Some of the items are difficult to find but that is why I like the game so much. For those who complain about it just being a click to find game they aren’t wanting to actually search for the items. The interactive portion of this game is what hooked me. I have no problem paying for this game. I wish more games would just charge for the full game instead of try and scam me with the free to play business model. I own more paid games than I do free to play.

The ultimate hidden objects game!. Growing up with countless “find this” books, I’ve always had a passion for intricate overpopulated pictures with tiny hidden things to find and this game brings all of that to life and more! There is so much going on in every image! Being able to interact with the world, open doors, cut down bushes, move things aside really adds a much deeper level to the searching aspect. The art style and vocal sound effects are extremely adorable. For anyone who grew up loving books like this, this is a must have!

Pleasant Fun Game to Relax. Hidden folks is a very cute aesthetically pleasing game to play when you need a break. The black and white hand drawn aesthetic and fun yet simple sound effects make it an overall nice game to play. Clues lead you through different landscapes to find items and people. Where is Mai? Onno wishes he paid more attention during his tai chi classes. Tortoise Rafaelo dries in the sun. Cut down bushes, open up tents, dig holes, or just look around and the magic of this game will surround you. This is a calming puzzle game that I would highly recommend. My one complaint: add more!

Hidden Folk. I have loved this kind of hide and seek game since I became a big fan of Highlights magazine as a kid. I’ve enjoyed this game from nearly the day it originally was released. Loved it!! I have waited for the update which was to add more content to original game. Man, I saw the game was updated!! I wanted to snap my fingers to just make all aspects of my life freeze, so I could immediately sneak off to indulge my need to play this game again. The added content was fantastic!! I was prepared to look for my favorite little peeps all night, consequences be damned, but alas, the newest material did not require that kind of sacrifice. It was over much too SOON ! I am aware of the time required to create the little peeps in the new hiding places. I’m thrilled to have gotten an update at all. Thanks for all your hard work. Hidden Folks is a blast for this 58 yr old homebody 🐇🐇🐏🐑🦍🦍

Stellar game, buy it!. This game is such a whimsical escape. I’ve never seen a game like this before on a phone app. I got it because I had a friend rave about it to me. She said she bought the soundtrack because she loved the spoken sound effects so much. It lived up to the hype! It’s so creative, yet simple, while still being incredibly stand-out. I love the sound effects, the fun Easter eggs and the problem solving it takes to get all the hidden finds! I love the aesthetic as well. I, too, will rave about this game to my friends.

lovely, but repetitive. i keep HF on my iPad because it's delightful, and every so often i feel the need to tap on cars until they say MEEP MEEEEP but… there's only so many times i can play a game like this before i can't because i remember where most stuff is. the big levels are HUGE and packed with fun stuff, so it would be nice if the list of targets were longer for these levels. that, or randomised so that every time you play, you get a different batch of targets to find. or both of these, actually. i'd gladly buy a new version of the app to get these features.

Interactive riddling searching fun, love it!. So much more than Waldo, this game gives riddling clues for where to search for each person or object on a level. It’s not a easy as it seems, though, because so much of the world is interactive and you need to figure out how to manipulate the world and people and creatures in it to be able to find everyone and everything on the list. Some worlds are quick jaunts, while others are massive landscapers, either barren or jam packed. It’s absolutely my favorite game, and I’m never frustrated looking for something because it’s just so much fun. I almost never leave a review but this app is so awesome it deserves it. It’s challenging enough for the smartest adult, but fun enough that my kindergarten son sits and plays it with me.

Love this game!. I play a lot of hidden object games. I love this one as a straight up hidden object game but with a fun twist. All the images look hand drawn, and the noises when you tap on the characters or birds are made by a person. I really like that there's no time limit and that if you get stuck, find a few things and you can move on, then come back later to finish a scene. I do wish you could zoom in more, some of the objects are tiny tiny and difficult to see. I hope they come out with more levels soon! Edit: Update: some may not want to pay for this, but it’s WELL worth the price. This game is awesome and I can’t wait to see what the developers come out with next!

Thank you!. The new added scenes are a welcome addition to my Hidden Folks “library”. The original game, alone, has a lot of content and the clever design, replay is as enjoyable as the first time through. Many games aren’t geared for replay and additional content is packaged and sold as a new game “part ll”. This last update with minimal fee is well deserved, it’s one of the few games I’ve purchased and truly feel it’s a keeper. I appreciate that the developers continue to work on and add new content to the original, it keeps this game unique. It feels like the developers love this game as much as the players.

Fantastic.. I really like this game. The clues to each character or object make you think and are great hints. I wish there were at least one additional hint per level. I spent the forever looking for a chicken. I knew what I was looking for and how it was hidden and just could not see it. This almost made me give up, but it was the last thing needed for the game. Also, it would be nice if everything I opened or cut down, etc. stayed that way when I leave and come back. Honestly, the only other thing I would change is the sound effects. It’s funny initially, but then I just kept my phone on silent. Overall, I really enjoy this game. I can use at work for kids with visual perceptual concerns. I think it is creative how things are hidden. It is definitely not your average search and find game. Please keep making more levels! Thank you for the fun.

Oh, how I adore Hidden Folks 🤍. It may very well be the perfect game! The genius and straight-up craftsmanship in the detail and originality of the art, the wonderfully wandering exploration of every odd yet familiar landscape and each one cleverly layered with quirk and humor, meeting all of the equally strange and lovable creatures that inhabit these worlds, the simple secreted treats and overall wabi sabi that make it brilliantly engaging and enjoyable for those of us who relish such things... which I absolutely do. Above all, it’s undeniably one-of-a-kind and that is increasingly rare in these crazy (yet somehow still dull) days... I can only imagine the volume of blood, sweat and tears that went into the entire Hidden Folks process... I’m sure it was a profound labor of love for everyone involved, as well as an exercise in sheer force of will, but I am personally SO grateful to the creators for blessing us with this gem of a game. Thank you all! I look forward to seeing what other weirdness you folks get into... xox

Amazing!. You guyyyyys. This is an amazing game. It’s fun, interesting and interactive in the best way. Any harder and it wouldn’t be fun, any easier and it wouldn’t be fun. I completely appreciate how long it must take to draw out each world and then make them come to life. Each world has its own fun little surprise, a new interaction that the previous didn’t have. I hadn’t downloaded any games in quite a while and bought it on a whim. It’s completely worth the money- I *cant* wait until we get more levels! Good job you guys!

Challenging, charming fun. This game is a delight! The drawings are so appealing and the gameplay is challenging, but never feels impossible. There is tons to find in the levels after you beat them, too. I also quite like the color options. Sometimes the white background gets to be a little too stark, and I switch to the orange. It’s a great middle ground. There’s also a black and white inverted option. Overall, if you’re looking for a great iPad game, you should download this one.

Lovely Game. This is a beautiful hidden pictures game! The level of care and detail that went into making it really shows - from the bananas and pigs, to all of the sounds and motion. The scenes start small then get bigger and even more fun to explore. After finding everything there is to find and plenty of exploring, I do find myself wishing there were more things I was supposed find (this isn’t a complaint, I just like it that much)! Hidden Folks is just a relaxing game. There is no score or timer of any kind, no countdown or count up, no rankings, the music isn’t frantic or hurried and the sound and music can be muted. It’s full of wonderful tiny surprises that regularly distract me from finding the things you are supposed to be finding ... mostly because I want those cute alligators (or are they crocodiles?) to open their mouths and make sounds again and again. I cannot forget to mention the adorable iMessage stickers that you get with the app. Tiny people, things, and animals from the game to use all the time.

Amazing game. This an incredible game...I only wish you had to look for more things on each map But apart from that it is hard to find some but it's fun and the worlds are just great and relaxing to play. One thing they should do is look for more items or people on the big maps even though it's tough it would be better to have a lot more things to look for, it's still a great game just some maps are shorter or have a few things to look for. But it's still incredible and amazing

Update this freaking game!. This is one of my favorite games of all time. It’s unique, challenging, fun and funny. You can get a lot of play time out of it because some of the pieces can be difficult to find and almost evvvverything can be liked under or behind, can be moved, thrown, sunk, driven, etc. You have to play it’s you really do. But MAN is it frustrating that the creators have updates this masterpiece in at least a year or more. Hell, it’s not like you have to add color! Draw us another island...another city of skyscrapers....why hasn’t anyone thought of a space map with Martians and whatever. Acrh4672fbsbch!! Anyway, the game is great and I want more of it. The end.

Hidden Folks for the iOS.... With touchscreen capabilities, this version is easier to play than it is on the console. The console version uses a larger screen, which offers a greater field of vision. However, in either version, you will need to zoom in from the broad perspective to see the small items on your list. Game play is easy to learn for any age, no-stress, and is playable in short or long increments. The game is comprised entirely of hand-drawn artwork. My kudos go to the creator(s) for making a fun-to-play game that everyone will enjoy.

Well balanced challenge. I rarely pay for game apps (and even more rare that I take time to write a review) but this one was worth it! It was challenging enough to keep me interested but not so hard that I gave up all together. Besides the obvious amazing artwork, I liked that once I found most on a page, I had the option of staying or moving forward. Sometimes I needed a break when I couldn’t find that last thing and being able to move on and come back to it was helpful. I also liked that it wasn’t just hidden in plain view. It has a high level of creativity embedded in hints and in user interaction that sometimes requires you move or plug in items to find what was being sought. I hope you come out with more!

Absolutely Cute and Engrossing Game. This is the cutest game I’ve ever played. I am a 59 years old and yet I believe this cute game is suitable for all ages. I have been enthralled from the very get-go. There is so much to do and explore. The tiny black and white drawings of people and their worlds are chock full of things that go vroom! vroom! beep! beep! and move, some in unexpected ways. Most of the sounds are produced by human voices and lend to the game’s whimsical theme: find the hidden objects, some of which are hidden in plain sight and others hidden behind movable objects, and all found by using the cunning but adorable hints provided. I highly recommend this little gem!

Amazing!! I love this game.. I loved this game. It’s kind of like a hidden object game but actually good! In particular I like that this one doesn’t take itself too seriously. The drawings are charming and every button pushes, every door opens with a satisfying sound. Some of the ones near the end have a puzzle quality to them (but not too hard) and the factories are so enjoyable to make the machines move, and as part of the solution so they are actually functional. Oh and be sure to check out the credits. Anyway, I loved this game! Love Adriann’s unique way of thinking, and I will eagerly await future scenes and puzzles!

Amazing Game. This game was one hundred percent worth the money I spent on it. Hidden Folks is practically a better-drawn, moving picture, adorable, funny, and entertaining version of a much more expensive Where’s Waldo book. You get so much content in this little app and it provides hours of searching and fun. My only suggestion would be to add more levels, as I go through them fairly quickly and would love a new area to explore! There is also a reset feature that I find especially handy, this allows me to redo levels as much as my little heart desires! Overall, great app, great graphics, amazingly developed!

Charming and addicting. REVIEW UPDATE: THANK YOU, developers!!! The new On Tour area is amazing—just as much fun and just as hilarious as the other areas. It’s incredibly full and rich with thousands of things to open, move, plug in, turn on, listen to, laugh at, and be charmed by. Even if you don’t find the objects you’re looking for right away, there is a lot of entertainment and amusement here. Since my first review, I replayed it all again (not the new On Tour area yet)— which is no small feat, because it’s huge—and I enjoyed it just as much the 2nd time! I highly recommend Hidden Folks! (Original review here)... This was a delightful game. It was funny, and challenging, and addicting. The measure of a game for me is how I feel when I've finished it. If it leaves me wanting more, it was a great game. Furthermore, if I feel withdrawal symptoms, it was a fantastic game. That was the case with this one. I can't wait for some more locations to open. In the menu they are listed with the label, "soon." I look forward to them.

Artists have to eat, yes?. I understand that some are up in arms about having to pay for the new Beach areas. The reality is that artists working for a year on new content have to be able to make a living. Once a game starts to saturate its market, new content can only come from additional payments for add-ons. If it really bugs you to throw them a little change every now and then, perhaps you could imagine that the designers instead just made Hidden Folks 2, 3, 4, etc. You're happy to buy new games from the same talented team, yes? And fwiw, the new Beach areas are great...

Where's Waldo for phone. Best "Waldo" style game ive seen, well only one actually. Very entertaining and very good sound effects for sure. Looks like a "where's waldo" book met "dark side of art" style. I applaud the game developer for seeing an opportunity to make something I believe is truly unique and pushing a game on a direction that no one has ever done before, AND be successful with it. One key thing would like to see going forward: please; make some new levels. Not for free if you have to, like expansions.. they would be great. And I'm sure folks like myself would gladly pay to ses more levels and things to find in this great game.

Love love love!!. I’m so sad I finished all the levels in a couple days... but only because I couldn’t stop playing! It’s actually a good thing there aren’t more levels because I wanted to play this instead of doing other important things :). The art is adorable, the sound effects hilarious. Definitely challenging at times, especially for the larger maps that you really can’t zoom out too much on. I don’t usually pay for apps but this one was well worth it, even if it only provided a couple days of entertainment. Can’t wait for more updates!

More than finding people and things. I bought the game as a distraction during free time and it is. The jungle, alpine, city, and industrial landscapes, among others are simply displayed yet complexly designed, layered, and laid out as you move up through the levels. There is humor designed into the scenery and the characters. The designers teach you tips and tricks for getting through the various levels if you’re paying attention. May I suggest a scroll bar for moving through the various characters that we must find. This can become tedious on a phone when there are 12 or more items. Also, I appreciate that the game remembers where I am in the level from one device to another. It would also be great if the game would remember if I had already opened something (like a tent, window, or a crate) in that scene on one device and keep it open on my other devices. Can’t wait until you add more levels!

Great game, it perhaps with a small bug. Love it and can spend a lot of time on it. Love the interactions. Would love the ability to zoom out a bit more. Also, the bug seems to be on the factory level where you only need to find four things. I can’t seem to find the old guy who comes with the chair. I moved all of the levers up and down and sideways in every possible combination and tapped and held both of the buttons but the conveyor belts fails to move. One guy on steam has the same issue, so it isn’t just me. Please fix this bug.

Good game, but would like some options. I really enjoy playing this game. It’s very imaginative and creative. If you like finding hidden objects and working out puzzles, you’ll like this. However, there are a couple of features that I would love to see offered. You’re given clues on how to find each item, but it would be better if the app provided you a greater hint by highlighting an area where the object is. You can’t get to the next puzzle until you find enough objects to move on and this can become frustrating when the puzzle scenery is very large and you’re trying to find tiny objects. Secondly, I would like to see a “skip puzzle” feature where you can elect to move onto the next puzzle without completing the current one. If this game had those two features, it would make it more enjoyable to me.

Cute and fun!. I love this game so much. I actually got it for pc over a year ago, and loved it so much that when I got an iPad I re-purchased it in order to play it all again but on a fancy touch screen this time :) Each area has a starting level to teach you the mechanics of the following pages by just clicking around the small area and seeing what happens. The art is super cute, and not everybody cares for the “mouth sounds” but personally I find them to be very charming (and fun to repeat myself). I have not played the new beach area yet but I am definitely going to! (Just have to decide which system to get it on :s )

I LOVE this game. There isn't a single thing to dislike.. Everything about this game is a delight, from the handmade sounds to the characters to the little thrown in Easter eggs you can uncover in each level. It's adorable, the hints are just helpful enough, and I played happily for hours over a span of months without getting bored or frustrated. I wish there were an endless number of levels, because it's so unique and such a feel-good way to tune out and focus on something that feels surprisingly productive to play. I think it's my most favorite app that I've ever bought. Here's hoping for many more levels!

Amazing Game! Need A Sequel!. This game is phenomenal. Such a simple concept, yet so creative. The point is simple, find the everything in the list of articles or people and move on. HOWEVER, the entire map is interactive and everything you need to find has a hilarious and cute backstory. Not to mention the ridiculous sound effects these two guys recorded, specially the alligators. Overall an addicting, entertaining and downright fun game to pass the time with! It can be very challenging, players beware! Where’s Hidden Folks 2? We need it!

Refreshing take on hidden object puzzles!. This is definitely challenging but still so enjoyable to play! Love the added element of interactivity to open doors, dig in snow piles, pressing buttons and shifting objects in order to unearth & find the object you are looking for. I enjoy just opening & tapping on things just to discover what all can be manipulated. The clues, scenes & sounds are so creative, clever & humorous. One thing I feel that would totally sky rocket this game to the another level and that I would absolutely LOVE to see would be the ability for players to create their own custom list of hidden objects (with customized clues) to find and then challenge other players to find them. The custom challenges could be made by forwarding to friends or by being accessed by anyone on a server. Those custom challenges could even be rated by other players. Filters & ability for players to flag could be used to ensure inappropriate language is not used in the clues. I think this would vastly increase the exposure, playability & revenue for this game. Revenue could be a 1 time fee to unlock the feature, or monetize by playing an ad in order to be able to play a new custom challenge. There is just so much interesting objects & folks to look at & explore and I often find myself thinking “that object should so be on the list” Thank you for creating such an awesome and refreshing unique game! Was thrilled to find there was an update with added content!

Paying for mini expansion?. So the game is basically made to be downloaded and completed in less than a week. THEN once you’ve beat it you have to pay to keep playing or just drop the game completely. I prefer to go with the latter. Charging $2 for the the initial download of about 20 levels wasn’t a big deal, I got a lot of enjoyment from the game on my 2 bucks. But charging an extra $2 for just 5 more levels that I will beat in 1 night? Seems very unreasonable. Especially since I can now expect to have to pay another $2 for the next(and every additional) “expansion” after.

Love this game. I love this game but for some reason it wants me to pay $1.99 for the new beach scene? I’m kinda confused that I have to pay now? It’s been a while since I downloaded it but isn’t it a paid app to begin with? Why on top of that do I have to pay now? Edit: I wasn’t complaining about paying, I was asking. I thought the updates were included so I was confused. I don’t mind paying if it’s a huge update. And I love the app, are we going to be paying for each update from now on? Deeply relaxing. This game promotes a deep experience of mindfulness. The details are beguiling and the sound effects very relaxing indeed. I love it.

A neat puzzle. The escalation for higher up levels got too chaotic for me and I never did the last level, just too big and everything looks too similar

Great game but too short. This is an excellent game - fun, charming, cute, engrossing. I’m sad that I finished the whole thing in a week, and given the high price to buy the game in the first place it’s disappointing to be asked to pay more again to play another section - especially when the new section will only keep me busy for a day.

Charming. This is really just quite a charming app. I’m not too far in, to be fair, but the are graphics are detailed, the sounds are actually useful, and it is neither too easy or too maddeningly hard. I am happy here, so far.

Love it.. This is a fantastic app. It’s simply a series of scenes that require searching to find the people and objects listed on the bottom of the screen. Each object has a hint that requires a bit of lateral thinking usually. The scenes are miniature and incredibly detailed with a large number of the folks waving, jumping and generally determined to distract you. The scenes also contain myriad features that are there simply for amusement and interest. Sometimes it’s fun just to click around to see what happens. For the detail-minded.

Strangely addictive. The first level was frustrating. The 2nd level tantalizing. By the 3rd level I had to find EVERY. SINGLE. OBJECT. Super cute, relaxing & mindful. Strangely addictive. Persist.

Hidden folks. Amusing, whimsical and relaxed. Pay once and just enjoy. Find stuff at you own pace.

Quirky & fun but short. It’s a nice simple way to occupy some time but it’s a little short for the price tag. I barely got a weeks worth of bathroom breaks & procrastinating out of it. Hopefully the developers will add more levels, if they do I’ll be back.

I loooove this game. It’s so beautifully done. I want to know the stories of all the people in there! I love the things you have to find, especially the super tiny ones. Someone else wrote that the sounds is really good but I can’t hear anything - the volume is up in the settings, is it muted somehow?

Good fun. Enjoyed this game. A good challenge as each level is packed with so many characters and props. Only problem is not many levels so I had completed the game fairly quickly and wanted more. Hopefully the developer will keep going with it.

Will drive you nuts fantastic. I don’t usually leave reviews but I loved this game it got you to work your mind with its cryptic hints, its best played with the sound on as it will give you hints to where things are hidden by using sounds or chatter from the folks. The very last puzzle has no hints it made me laugh when I worked it out though. Please update with more puzzles soon

Beautiful. I’m really enjoying the game so far. It’s a little tricky but there wouldn’t be a need for it if it wasn’t. I love the style and it’s just a very relaxing thing to look at. I also really love the guy doing the sound effects for everything. Cute. Simple, solid game, but in a minimalist game every detail has to be perfect. Would love to hear sounds that match the action/character better and I want to zoom more but otherwise well worth the money.

Extremely Enjoyable and Engaging. This game reminds me of the “Pierre, The Maze Detective” books by Hiro Kamigaki. High quality, fun and the perfect puzzle solving escapism needed for a busy adult mind or bored child. Love it and worth the price.

Amazing but a possible bug?. I love this game so much and it's very cute and quirky. But one thing I'm stuck on is at the beach part 3 when you have to get the folk to his boat I can't seem to get him to swim when he jumps into the water. I've tried tapping him and other things but it doesn't work. I don't know if this is a glitch or just me. But other than that, the game is FABULOUS. 10/5

Brilliant!. Love this! Very cleverly done! Simple and relaxing. Animations are great :) You don't need to hit on everything in the scene as when you touch the items in the bottom bar, they give a hint as to where in the scene to look for them. But on saying that, it is fun to click on items just to see what happens. I love it and was more than happy to pay for it, and I can't wait for follow ups :) thanks guys, this so clever and so much fun :)

I love this game, there are so many levels and every single one is interesting in a different way! So much to interact with, its a little story and most definitely worth the price! Fantastic little game!. If you have no idea what this game is about, think ‘where’s wally’ but on a more interactive scale. The animation suits the theme of the game perfectly, sure it’s not a HD CGI scene or anything like that, but it’s just perfect for the game. The Sounds are brilliant....my only complaint, is the game is currently not very long. However with that being said, they seem to be adding more and more levels, so who knows by the time you purchase this app (and you must purchase it imo), it may be much longer. 9.5 out of 10! In future updates if you could add more sounds, more stages, more themes, maybe even a set of stages in colour (but that is not a must as the black / white theme is pretty cool).

Totally Addictive!. I came across this game by accident and so glad I did. Sadly I have finished all the levels so I am really hoping there will be more levels soon. The designers of this game have done an incredible job and should be very proud of themselves.

Beautiful sketches 💕. I really love this game! The drawings are so cute and simple, with the finest details that most don’t notice. I bet it must have taken a while to draw all of the levels, which is why I understand that their aren’t that many levels. However, I would love to see more maps introduced to the game so it can last longer. My sister and I throughly enjoyed finding all of the humorous characters and critters, hiding behind posters and bushes, skiing down snowy mountains. Discovering some of them really proved a challenge sometimes too like the tiny reptile in the forest of cacti or the electrician hiding behind a billboard in the ginormous city. I love all of the little puzzles in the game and admire what you’ve done with it. Totally worth the money. leah

Still some bugs. I’ve loved playing the game with hilarious sound effects and interesting characters but I have come to a grinding halt. I’m at the assembly line and need an old man on a chair to progress but the conveyor belt doesn’t move. I’ve deleted the game, gone back in and gone all the way through again up to this point and remain stuck. I’ve read other reviews that have said the same thing. Am I not doing something or it is a bug that needs to be fixed? Otherwise, great fun.

Requires full payment for the app for each device it’s used on. Unlike most (all?) of the ~125 apps I have on my devices, this one charges full cost for the app for each device it’s used on. I downloaded it to iPad first, but upon downloading it to my iPhone I found I’d have to pay the full price again just to use it there. Thanks but no thanks. Most other developers recognize that I’m only going to use their apps on one device at a time and let me use them where it’s convenient without extra charge. Buyer beware.

Cool but Difficult. Love this game, amazing drawings, must have sent the artist mad, so complex, so many tiny, differences. I love that there really are hidden objects once you clear the brush, clear the X or open a tent. Quite difficult yet most enjoyable. You are only buying a portion of the game!. I used to love this game, and bought it twice for two different devices. I was looking forward to the new levels.....until I found out that you have to buy the game again. When I initially bought the game, I thought that I was buying the game, not a preview. In response to the developer: I get that putting out more levels costs the company money, but people should know in advance that their initial payment is only for a portion of the game. The initial payment does not include the beach areas, therefore it is a portion of the game, not the complete game. This is also the ONLY game that I have ever purchased, where I had to pay for additional levels as they came out. Unfortunately, I think this business model may have lost customers for future games that you release, as it seems from reading through the reviews, that quite a few people weren’t happy about it. Those were just the people who took the time to post/update a review,

Fun way to pass time. Some of the items are difficult to find, I find this a nice challenge so many other hidden object games are too easy. Colour would be nice, maybe a way to zoom in further, a way to enlarge the object list, a way to hide the ones you’ve found.

Reminds me of Where’s Waldo except in black and white. I was originally a bit disappointed as I found quite a bit of zooming needed and frustrated, I’m playing on an IPad Pro. That is why it lost a star, I can see that this game would be difficult for some to play. A lot of thought and care went into this game though and it really grew up on me over time. Pay attention the animation, the sounds and clues. The price was on the high end for me. Pls keep more levels coming.

A delightful diversion.. This game is such a great way to spend a little time, especially when I need a mental break. I’ve worked my way through all the levels, except for the new tour stuff, at least ten times. Sometimes I try and find everything without looking at any of the clues. After I’ve played for a while I’ll catch myself making the little noises the folks make.

One of my most beloved games. Ok honestly people it’s time to throw down some hard facts. This is probably the most simple, yet, hardest game I have ever played. I could play it all day:) and I hope the updates never stop. Buy the game it is 1865% worth it. The detail put into this little tiny game is amazing and it touches my heart, I love the little noises when you interact with things. 12/10 best game.

Good/fun but not perfect. I enjoy this kind of puzzle immensely, however the limited instructions left me repeatedly tapping item to clear them out of the way, the clear direction that the figure you are tapping on is the one your looking for; OR that you have indeed found all of the truffles in the scene. That brings me to the size of the drawing of each item.. you can enlarge the screen image but I still had difficulty identifying the “banana” as such instead of a stick or poo or caterpillar. I hope that game improvement will be made in future or I will become more adept.

Most creative "spot it" game to date!. I wanted to buy this game on PC, so I'm thrilled I was able to on my phone. Most "find it" games on the App Store are a copy of each other, but not this one. You can see the originality just by looking at it. My favorite thing about this game are the noises for everything. It's very homemade and I love that. The gameplay is very fun, but it can also be challenging. To me, it was worth every penny and I'm glad I can support it on my phone.

EASILY worth the price tag!. This game looks so simple/basic, but I assure you, if you’re skeptical about buying it because you’re worried it’s going to be too easy, that is NOT an issue! This game is actually pretty challenging, not frustratingly challenging, but just challenging enough to keep you busy and entertained. It’s really a fun game that I got sucked into without realizing how long I had been playing it. I love it, and it’s definitely WELL worth the few dollars to buy it! :)

Complex simplicity. I am so enamored with this simple game. It is expertly executed providing just the right amount difficulty. The sound effects could not be more perfect; almost entirely human utterances, I’m guessing. I am hopelessly hooked on Hidden Folks. The only drawback, my need for new levels. Was wondering if daily puzzles would ever be offered? One “world” for the week with a seek-able object each day?

The end is near. And I don’t know what I’m going to do. This game is incredible. Extremely clever with so many hidden gems beyond the things you’re searching to find. And don’t get me started on the sounds <3. I don’t ever want it to end but it soon will as the developer said there’s not going to be any more updates. I’m heartbroken (well, as heartbroken as you can get over a favorite game coming to an end).

Updates?? New clues?. This is by far my favorite game from the last few years but I’ve replayed it too many times. Do y’all plan to release more updates anytime soon? Great pass time game and nostalgic. To keep it short l, probably one of the best mobile games out there. If you’re a fan of Where’s Waldo and I Spy books then this game is for you. Sure it’s not the best game of all time but it’s worth the time and money if you’re into scavenger games. I’ve bought this for my pc, switch, android(old phones) and now iPhone. 10 out of 10 for me.

Quirky fun!. Stumbled upon this gem of a game a year ago and became addicted! Interactive levels where you uncover anything from cheeky monkeys looking for elusive bananas to black scorpions and everything in-between! Find the “Folks” who are hidden in plane sight and move thru the levels of sand, snow, jungles and cities and more! Three new free levels and now a new “beach” level for a small fee. I call that a bargain! Love playing this game!

Incredible game. Thanks, Adrian de Jongh and everyone connected with Hidden Folks! It’s such a fun game. The black and white artwork is amazing, especially as it gets more complicated and layered as you progress through the different levels. The clues given to find the parts are really clever (the chicken dinner inside the snake, honestly). I can’t imagine how much work, time and effort was put into creating Hidden Folks but hopefully it was as much fun for you, the creators, as it is for us playing the game.

Fun, Interactive Game. The old “I, Spy” books got an upgrade with this game. Like those books, the object of the game is to find certain objects before proceeding to the next “level.” What I love is how these items have descriptions that give hints to their location, which is important as the landscapes are not only broad but also interactive. The objects you seek can be hidden in holes, trees, cars - you name it! All in all, super fun game that’s easy to pick up and play at any time.

Best Game on IOS EVER!. This is THE best game I have ever found in the app store. You guys that designed this are nothing short of genius in my opinion. I enjoyed the challenge of finding the items and if you put a little thought into the description it was not that hard to find them. Would love to see more games like this out there. Thank you for the hours of FUN :) :)

Best Hidden Object Game. If you are like me, you like hidden object games to relax & poke at your screen, but too many of them punish pokes & add timers, effectively killing the fun. This game does the opposite; it rewards pokes in so many ways even when what you are touching is not a target & it lets you settle back & take your time. Add to that the charming animations & so much to explore & you have a winner. Absolutely more enjoyable than a latte for the same price.

*insert slow clap*. This is so wonderfully simplistic. The drawings pull you into little sketch worlds. It’s a refreshing way to pass the time and make my mind do a little work to get gratification....something it’s grown accustom to getting far too quickly these days. This game reminds us to slow down and enjoy the details. Also laughed at the hints and sound effects. 10/10 would recommend. Bravo.

BEST GAME EVER!. I search and search and search for games that I might like and I only like a very few. This game can be challenging until you figure it out, but if it is too challenging for you, just use it for entertainment and turn the sound on and watch all the cute little animations and sounds (made only with their mouths I think). Touch everything and see tents open, cannons fire, there are great reveals everywhere!!! TOO FUNNY AND CLEVER!!

Fun calm find it game. Loved it. There are many levels and the challenges progress perfectly and in a fun way. A very charming game. Only pitfall is I moved on a couple times without completing the level, assuming I could go back and find later. But once you’ve completed all the levels, you can only go back to one of the screens per level. Besides that small, small gripe, this is a perfect game.

Love the game... so much.. Hey I love this game don’t get me wrong it was totally worth the buy and then new stuff would come out occasionally and it made it an even better buy... But now they want me to give more money and I understand there are new features with the beach levels but I just want to play guys and I already paid the first time.... Still five stars cuz I love the game. Just a bit sad cuz I literally can’t afford this update for myself this holiday season... and the game is so freaking good.

Clever Concept. I have enjoyed Hidden Folks on my iMac, and have just installed it on my iPad Mini 2. Very happy to be drawn into this unusual world of hand-drawn characters, complete with amusing sound effects and unique language. Some of the tasks are quite simple, but some can be rather perplexing. There is definitely an element of complexity within the simple minimalism of this cleverly-designed world. I do know that “Hidden Folks” somehow always manages to cheer me up! Great work!

Good game but…. It isn’t worth the $4.99 for as few levels there are…. I beat the entire game in less than a day so, even tho it is challenging, there aren’t enough levels to be worth the money. So, that’s my reason for only a 4 star rating. I do hope the creator is going to add more levels soon, being it is 6 years later…

A must have in any game collection.. This is my first review ever. Let me tell you, this game is great. It’s thoughtful, funny, and relaxingly challenging at the same time. There’s so much going on in each level. Do yourself a favor and just take some time to appreciate the detail the devs put into this game. Totally worth the purchase. I hope they continue making these games.

Interactive Where’s Waldo meets Scavenger Hunt! Need part two!. I love this game and was never bored with it. I am a person that will get bored quickly if the game is just repetitious but Hidden Folks was made for a person like me who needs to prod and poke around. It’s very interactive with holes to dig, tents, cars and doors to open, grass to cut, plants to grow, items that need moving or opening...you can’t possibly get bored with a game like this. It’s like Where’s Waldo meets Scavenger Hunt that’s highly interactive!

My favorite game, always looking forward to the next update. This by far is my most favorite game on iPhone. Every update has been great and I'm so excited to get the next one. It's such an easy thing for me to do while I try to get out little one to sleep. The last app update was an in store purchase but this is totally fine if it means we keep getting more levels! I love it thank you

Too small for a phone. This game seems itd be fun but on a iphone its pretty small and constant scrolling to ciew the levels. The hit detection area is extremely small. I bet itwould be a lot more fun on an ipad however. Also not a big fan of the whole hidden concept. Looking for an object in a picture is fun but when the objects are hidden behind bushes etc then its more of a task to just click every tree bush etc to find what you need as they might or might not come out

Really makes you work!. Lots of fun! I’m really good at search type games and it’s annoying how quickly and easily I blow through puzzles. This game has me really searching for things! I love it and I love the interaction also especially lifting the little tent flaps! The only thing that was kind of off putting would be the noises lol a lot of people praised them and I appreciate the effort and dedication but honestly they were kind I creepy lol I’m sorry!

Very Cute!. I've only played a few levels but it's very cute. Kinda makes my eyes hurt a little bit but I guess that's kinda the nature of these games. I definitely plan to keep playing! The only thing that night be nice is if a little circle stayed on the screen around the characters you've found. Or if they became colored when you have found them. Just so you could zoom out and dream where all of the stuff you've already found is.

Addictive and adorable. Would have loved to give the game 5 stars, but there were a few times where I knew I was doing the right thing and clicking on the correct “folk” but it wouldn’t give it to me. I even went out to find a walkthrough so I could make sure I had the right character. I did, but couldn’t make it work. This happened a couple of times. Except for this, I love the game.

Hidden Folks I ls 4 1/2 Out of 5 Percent Good. Hidden Folks is super fun. But I’m going to be honest, I do wish they gave you a few more clues about where the hidden folks are. Since the game is COMPLETELY in black and white, it is hard to locate things and people. But I suppose that’s the fun in it, isn’t it? Puzzle games like this are supposed to be challenging. Anyway, I would recommend this game if you want a fun challenge. Even if you’re color blind, it’s fun because there is no color. You don’t have to pay for ANYTHING at all. You should definitely get Hidden Folks. Have fun playing!!!😄❤️🐙

Found yet still lost.. So, this is a wonderful game,but I’m having trouble on one of the city levels. The level with Salma is where I’m having problems. So, I found Salma, and I keep tapping her so it will say I found her. But when I DO tap her, it doesn’t say that I found her. I know exactly where she is, but I still can’t “find” her. Please fix this so I can finish that level! Other than that, wonderful game!!!

Relaxing. I normally don’t write reviews for games, but I really enjoyed this game. I liked having to find the characters and discovering all the different quirks of each person/animal in the levels. It did get frustrating at times because some of them were really hard to find. I just finished the beach level and wish there were more already! Hurry and make new levels please

...compellingly interesting.... This puzzle is similar to a where’s Waldo puzzle without color. I was drawn to it because it’s silent and simple with mild animations. It’s family oriented and works well on an AppleTV. My family and I sit around the large monitor and enjoy conversations while engaging the puzzle. The large landscaped puzzles are so compellingly interesting due to the detailed and crafty simplistic interactive design. 🤓geek!!!

Love this game!!. At first I thought it would be “too challenging” but it is just challenging enough to still be so fun! There are things in the game constantly that make me giggle - it is so clever! I didn’t realize the sounds contain clues until a few days into playing since I usually have my iPad on silent. I’ve NEVER paid for a game before and SO glad I did this time. However, I may lose my job - I’m addicted!

Beautifully Clever. Wow! The hand drawn puzzles are not only adorable, they are quite funny. Massive areas to search and comb through. The puzzles to find some items are simple, but require patience and lots of fiddling about. The hints can be a bit vague or misleading, but they’re still usable as long as you look for all examples. I love this game and can’t wait for more scenes.

Sounds not working on iPad. I truly love this game. I got it awhile ago and have returned to replay it after awhile, once I have forgotten where everything is again. However, I did get it on an older iPhone and after playing it on my iPad, I have noticed I am no longer able to hear the cute sound effects I was once able to enjoy when playing the game on my old phone. Maybe this is a bug? I sure hope so anyway.

More fun than I expected. I was unsure if the game would be entertaining, but I am not disappointed. The clues are sometimes a bit clunky and take me directly to the item. However, most are just enough of a tease to keep me searching. I like the sounds. I even am happy with tech support. I had a query about syncing game play and was advised in less than five minutes how to manage the game using icloud. I’d suggest adding that info to the game options somehow. Very fun!

One of my favorite games!. This game is absolutely genius! I was looking for something akin to the seek-and-find levels of Two Dots and was not disappointed. The amount of detail put into each level is extraordinary and keeps you looking around for more weird situations in their little world. Worth every penny, in my opinion. I hope the developers are working on more levels (pretty please?) and can’t wait to see what’s in store.

I can’t get past the snowy area!. I absolutely LOVE your take on this spot the _____, type game! Although it’s challenging, it’s still extremely fun to play. I will admit I have looked up some answers because of my desire to get to the next level and move on from the same landscape or city scape. But I’m stuck on the snowy area. I cannot find any hints or help on this section and I have no idea on where to look next. Can you please help me in some kind of way? Otherwise, GREAT GAME!!!!!

Really lovely puzzle game. Hidden Folks was clearly designed and built with love and humor. The descriptions of the characters you need to find are cute and clever and give you *juuuust* enough to find the people. I spent hours playing this and ended up finishing in a few days (after many hours of searching!) I’m really excited for new content, and I heartily recommend this to anyone who likes puzzle games you can take your time with and enjoy :)

Amazing. I don’t write a lot of reviews but I feel like I have to for this game! I’m a big fan of hidden object games but not so much of where’s Waldo. This game holds appeal for both. This game is way more then finding specific objects. You can also explore and find other hidden things it’s highly entertaining and the sound effects are great. I also love the simplicity of the design of this game.

Amazing.. Great game that isn't like the rest. Was well worth the price paid. It's not one you can just run through. You have to move some objects in some parts of the game and that adds just the right amount of difficulty. Perfect for at night when you're laying in bed because you can change the white background to black. Would highly recommend this game if you love a good challenge.

Just download it. I’ve been playing this game since it’s release 3 years ago. It always leaves me wanting more. There are multiple interactions in every single game, with nearly every single object. Tap everything in this game and play with your sound on! You won’t regret it. Is this game challenging? Yes. Yes, it is. It’s like playing Where’s Waldo on steroids. It does take quite a bit of time for them to release updates with brand new puzzles. However, I don’t mind. You can tell the developers put a TON of time and effort into this game and it’s ALWAYS worth the wait. Sign up for their email notifications. They won’t bombard you with emails. They simply let you know when a new update is available. So download it! You’ll love every minute. ❤️

When you need to de-stress. I have anxiety, and these days, it is at its most severe. I am so glad Hidden Folks is back with the On Tour update! I love this game. It is soothing. It is relaxing. It is cute. And I have so much fun looking at all the humorous characters and hidden gems throughout. I used to play on the train during my commute to pass the time. Now, I’m excited to set aside some time on the couch for me and the hidden folks.

Fabulous and Funny! Can’t put it down.. I came late to this party, I’m afraid. As a 52 year old grandma, I can honestly say that I am not a game person. I literally have played only a few games in my whole life, and I got bored with them fairly quickly. After I spent hours and hours playing late into the night, I decided to come by and leave a review. The folks and creatures are adorable, the levels are frustratingly fabulous, and the hints are so much fun too. I love this game so much!

Little game with big, fun surprises!. This game took me a few weeks to get into, but I’m so glad I stayed with it. It took me a little while to realize the interactive portions and how you can control things lifting, rolling, tent covers raising, etc. The little sounds are so adorable too, sometime I tap on the cars just to hear the honk-honk. I’m completely smitten with Hidden Folks and always look forward to playing it.

Best new game of its type ever!. I was devastated when I learned Where’s Waldo would not work under IOS 11 and nothing I looked at even came close. This game, however, is as good, if not better. The complexity is mind-boggling and I can (and do) play it for hours. I sort of miss color though the black and white makes it that much more difficult. A second version with color would be a welcome addition.
