Love this app! I am in my late 40’s and have been an athlete my entire life. I was looking for something that I could do in my home prior to work that was intense but didn’t involve a lot of impact. This was the answer! I have gotten stronger and been challenged. The new workouts are a huge plus in maintaining my interest as well. Definitely recommend this for those more experienced athletes.
Bought accidentally. Love the workouts! Any way I can reflect the workout from my mobile device into my television.?
Doesn’t work it get crazy while signing up it always says wrong password although you’re just starting and registering
Used to love this app. My favorite thing was being able to choose your desired workout series and for the next few weeks be guided towards achieving your goal and actually seeing improvements. I felt like the workout library also had a wide variety to choose from if I wanted to add a workout, for example to stretch my back. Now, when I try to do the short workouts ie 5 minutes. I always get taken to something much longer that with my new commute and having to walk the dogs in the morning, and get everything ready for everyone, I don’t always have time for and I’ve found stretching and moving is great for me. Can we please bring the old way back. There was nothing wrong with the app as it was. And what is with the music and quizzes now? There’s a book you should read called Start with Why. You’ve added too much and lost focus as far as I’m concerned.i really regret having subscribed for a year.
When I open the app, a breathy-voiced woman whispers Asana”. I’m given a choice of 3 workouts. But all II get when attempting to use a workout is some elevator type music. I can adjust it’s volume! That’s not much of a workout. Don’t get this.
This app is close to liftoff, but in its current form it isn’t likely to get off the ground. The workouts themselves are great. But as others here have pointed out, there are some key issues that really hinder its functionality, given the impression that the developers were more focused on reproducing a cliché fitness cultural aesthetic over actual quality design. For example: The app design/interface is poor. The workouts are grouped in collections, each with a sequence of videos to follow. However, if you’re trying to follow a specific collection, you have to go through several menus to get back to where you left off. There’s no indication within the collection of what your next workout in the sequence might be either — you just have to remember, or look back into your past activities. Why not let users subscribe to a collection and have the next workout in the sequence on the first menu page? If it’s a question menu space, I’m sure most of us wouldn’t miss pointless content like the “quiz of the day”, which evaluates, for example, whether you can correctly identify a garbanzo bean or if it’s possible to drink too much water, or the out of place “music for focus.” I have to echo the comments of others on the brevity of the workouts. Bookended by good warm-ups and cool-downs, which are nice, the meat of the workouts themselves are pretty short, especially considering that on average the workouts are about 15-20 minutes total, with only a few hitting around 30 minutes. Sometimes short is good, but if you want a longer workout your only option is to go back through the clunky interface and find something else, repeating another warm-up and cool-down in the process. Sometimes before the cool-down the app prompts you whether you’d like to continue to another set, which is fantastic but only pops-up sporadically. Why not allow users to create their own longer workout by allowing us to group together a handful of individual workouts into one long sequence, seamlessly transitioning from one workout to the next? Or, even better, perhaps give us the option of repeating the core section of the workout a few more times before starting the cool-down? Oddly, the app is replete with (over-emphasizes?) 5 minute workouts. Maybe these are great in a pinch to shake you out of a stupor, but no one is really going to get fit via 5 minute workouts, unless they do a half dozen in one go (which, again, would be a huge pain given the poor interface). A few of these 5min options would probably be enough. The instructions for the poses and sequences are great, yet the audio sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. It’ll make you cringe if you think back to how much you spent on your subscription. A number of people have spoken to the loss of the coach function. I can’t directly speak to that, having gotten the app after it had already been eliminated. But it would be amazing to have it back, and with it greater direction towards maximizing our workout goals instead of making users sift though all the choices and variables to figure it out for ourselves. Being no fitness expert, I find myself at a bit of a loss on how to best leverage all the content, and often succumbing to decision fatigue trying to figure out the next steps. People pay for fitness apps for help mapping out their road to fitness…if this assistance wasn’t necessary a lot more of us would already be fit. I don’t mean to be a total critic — there’s some great stuff and plenty of potential here…hence the detailed review in the hopes that someone over there is listening. Yoga inspired fitness is a great niche: it feels fantastic and offers a number of benefits that regular bodyweight/plyometrics don’t. But in it’s current form I’m likely to go elsewhere after my 3 month subscription is up. I’m not sure what this app gives you that you couldn’t get for free (and with a smoother user experience) through some perusing for suitable videos/channels on YouTube, perhaps paired with the fantastic Nike Training Club app or Freeletics, which costs about the same as Asana Rebel and offers a lot more direction.
I love this app and how accurately they customize workouts based on your likes. After you finish your workout you rate it with a thumbs up or thumbs down. The result is amazing! Your workouts just flow and build up organically! I recommend Asana Rebel to all.
I travel a lot for work and miss the yoga and workouts I normally do. This has totally changed everything. I can do a stretch session or a HIIT session or a hard yoga or whatever i need at that moment from 5 minutes to over 30. Excellent instruction and videos. I’m impressed
In middle of session audio and video were out of sync by 8 seconds or so. By the fourth round back in sync.
A HIT! 2nd workout- not easy but worth the challenge!
Perfect for anytime anywhere - loads of options- and levels- and intensity- depending how you want your practice that day- I really enjoy it
So I’m bored with these apps that say they are free then gather all you info and then show you the cost. Deleted app immediately.
Why did my whole year cone out all at once - it clearly stated a monthly cost which implied it would be deducted monthly. Not happy Your response said only yearly which WHICH WAS NOT STATED on your app. Then it said to go to asarebel.com to apply for a refund - that is not a web site. NOT HAPPY?????? I need a refund ASAP
Be warned!!! I have just spent an hour trying to cancel the subscription. No cancel option ANYWHERE. Only opinions to renew for 1,3 or 12 months.
I'm trying to subscribe to pay for your full features but I keep getting error messages and won't let me do it. It looks like a great app and is just what I need.
The only thing free is the App . I found once I downloaded the APP and gave my name and email I would need to pay to unlock the content. Felt somewhat misled .
I paid a year subscription and it never allowed me to refresh purchase , so I was unable to unlock anything. Paid $75 for nothing . No one from support has been in contact with me about it.
It’s so simple to follow step by step!
The only fitness app I’ve had where I can see the results. Great for those who are time poor. Love the variety of classes to choose from as I get bored easily.
I paid for this app and was using it regularly loving it until the policies were updated recently. After agreeing as per normal to terms and conditions the message I keep getting is ‘sorry this email is invalid’. Consequently, I can’t use the app...yet I’ve only used 4 months out of the 12 not impressed.
I have tried 10 different workout apps over the last 18 weeks and this is by far my favorite one. I have seen noticeable changes to my body and for the first time in life you can see the outline of my abs. When I started using this app in November I was a complete beginner to all things yoga and working out. Asana Rebel combines hiit with yoga creating a perfect workout. The longest workouts are 32 mins and the shortest are 5 mins making it easy to work out even when I’m in a rush. The longer workouts include a warm up and cool down and all workouts end with savasana. They update frequently and I love the new music options!
I wish it had calories count and fat burn programs!
I’m going through the app to give it a try.
The old version was great! I had never been as consistent with my yoga but thanks to the old version planned weekly routines, I was on top it it. Until now. Having to choose between different videos each time without keeping track of weekly progress or achievements had me demotivated and I ended up canceling my subscription. I try to go to classes now but am looking for a Yoga app that is like Sweat or the old version of this app which has a continuous 4/6/12 week plan.
Thought I was purchasing a one month subscription, and end up wasting $59 on a annual subscription. I felt like I was tricked. I was instantly turned off, and don’t see myself ever using this app.
I purchased this app’s full year subscription & have yet to access it. Over 2 weeks, multiple emails to “support” & no resolution. Pass
Over the years I never managed to get into Yoga, these are great short and dynamic classes, very clearly explained and not too challenging. After a couple of months of doing it everyday, my body feels leaner and more toned, people notice and tell me! I have more strength and energy and just feel great overall! NAMASTE ❤️
I was really hoping good things for this app but it kept freezing and it didn’t read any of my workouts.
While I have been enjoying the workouts I find it frustrating that I can’t combine workouts a little more seamlessly. Before the cool down begins I’m given an option to choose another workout or begin the cool down but if I choose to begin the cool down it often starts the workout at the beginning again. And other times if I would like to continue start another work out I have to stop what I am doing, scroll through my options and start again. It would be great if I could pick a few workouts before I begin and have them play one after another. Sometimes when I am air-playing to my Apple TV the app shuts down, or glitches and then I have to begin the work out all over again. I have enjoyed most of the work outs on here and I like that you can search for workouts through lots of different filters depending on what you want to achieve , ex: level of intensity, flexibility, get in shape, relax and focus, etc. All in all, it’s just okay. I may recommend it to friends but with a few caveats.
Nice workout. The music seemed to detract from the class. Would love to know others opinions.
I download the app to try it for 7 days as should be and then decide if I want to go forward or not. For my surprise it charged money immediately with download. BE AWARE!!
This app is fab! You can choose the length and intensity of your workout and if you aren’t tired or done, you can skip straight to a next workout before cooldown. Love it!
I bought the years subscription and was initially disappointed, the work outs were repeated not string enough. After the latest update it is awesome, I love it. Thanks again for working hard to improve, I really appreciate it!!
Not my style at all, classes move to fast, didn’t like the voices, seems more workout focused than yoga. Sorry to have wasted money on a subscription
Love this app, slick videos, great tutorials and suitable for beginners/improvers. Worth it!
I love this Asana so much, I downloaded it at first to use yoga to help my anxiety. The app design is beautiful and you can test out the workouts for free. I bought the full year subscription and am so glad! I’ve struggled with the way I’ve looked at my body for years and this has helped me tone up and love my body. The only thing I wish it did was link the daily work out and exercise in under the personal trainer aspect so it was added as a bonus workout for your week. There’s so many different positions and they’re easy to keep up with even as a beginner ❤️
Easy to follow and great for starting off
Like any apps that you have to pay to unlock the content, I was dubious at first. But I got the 3 month plan to try. This is the first workout I've stuck to and I've only done a week but I want more! I'm currently on the fat burning program and I'm loving it! The positions aren't entirely easy but are easy enough for a complete beginner and it's true when they say each time you do the moves it gets easier. I had a lot of muscle pain after the first lunges but no pain no gain right? It's not a chore to do these workouts and I know I'm training my entire body. Would definitely recommend
