Mezquite Diatonic Accordion App Reviews

Too many adds and pop ups. I really like the add but only had it installed for 10 minutes, in those 10 minutes I had a pop of every 10-20 seconds. It was super annoying, if I scrolled down to push play on Apple Music and came back to the accordion it would then stop the music because another add popped up. I guess they have to make their money.

Loved it!. I love this app so much because it relaxes me and it’s just so fun to play cause I love making music but I hate writing it down so I can play it on my iPad or phone. It’s so cool. You should download it. Give it a 10 out of 10.

App very annoying. When you press the Mezquite bar near edge a slight bit you get an add pop up, if you are forced to watch a video to use the help menu. You never see help topic you were looking for, seems like just flushing adds instead of providing a useful app

Perfect, except for practicing the given songs.. Excellent method for learning to play, however, I wish you could hear the given melodies in order to learn them, otherwise you just press buttons and you cannot figure the tempo and melodic phrases of those melodies unless you already know them. Other than that the method is great!

Everyone in my family is doing this app so thank you. I love this app

Ratios. Practicing a scale takes 10 seconds but you have to watch 2- 30 second ads to do it. I understand you pay to get rid of ads but you can’t even actually try it long enough to see if you will like it. Thumbs down

Requesting songs?. How long does it take to receive a request song?

Bugs. As much as the app is fun, there is a bug where an add pops up but never gives you the option to skip it. I have to close and reopen the app to get it to work. Also the section where you can select different accordions hasn’t worked at all it just say that you make sure to connect to the internet even though I’m connected. But if these bugs were to get fixed I would have no issues with it

No sound. I have no sound coming out of the app.! I know it’s the app because I purchased the hohner one and it works perfectly fine. I want to keep this app because I also purchased the 5 registers and it helps me when I’m on the go at work to practice. Please help

You need to turn on your phone ringer to hear anything. I thought there was problem with the apple because there was no soud but I actually just needed to turn my phone ringer on to hear it.

Very fine app. This app has been very good in terms of being a good way to learn the notes of the accordion faster than playing them on the actual accordion, well done.

Fix ads. Great app great for learning there just one problem that I keep having and that’s the ads that are always popping up on top running the way I play.

Very good!. I think this is what a good acordtion app for beginners or to practice very good sounds, placement, and learning skills! I think this game will shine in the further! Just missing one thing, I think it does not have good songs to practice with just saying! Very good app!!!

Way fun it sells almost reflex but a whole new niche of music just opened to me. I learned 120 bass at age 12 bought a 36 button Anglo at age 33, started playing guitar in '98 and banjo in 99. So although not really good with any of them each instrument has it own inspiration, the best here is I can very likely start a new type of music with very little dollar investment... thanks I have only been at it half an hour..but hoping for many more hours of fun.

Good functionality; too much ad spawning. The title probably covers it. It works functionally but the amount of ads that spawn make the user experience net negative to try to force you into a decision gate of stay annoyed or purchase. So the choice is yours.

Best app ever!!!. Even though I’m still learning I really enjoy playing the accordion and this app has made the process so much easier and quick with classic and fun songs IT BE PERFECT IF THE NEXT UPDATE COMES WITH EJERCICIOS DE DIGITACION

No sound. For some reason, it doesn’t make any sound at all I’ve tried everything on settings to fix problem. Deleted app and downloaded again and I still have the same problem. How can I fix this so it can play on my IPhone?

No Sound. Can’t evaluate it. No sound on iPad Pro 12.9, 2018. Revised: Apple can put switches in many places. Even if all sounds and volumes are up in settings, swipe down from top right and and deselect ‘silent’ on the bell icon.

Great learning tool!. After learning the basics for a few months on this app, I finally moved on to a real accordion. But when so, I still use this app every week to learn the scales and it has been super helpful. Thanks to the maker of this, it is well thought out and it has the best features of all the accordion apps on the app store.

AMAZING!!!!!. This app is really good and cool. Its lets you customize the accordian and it also lets you customize the typ of tunes you want to play. Etc. really would recommend!!!

Great App. The app is fantastic! Song tabs, fingering positions and button note names are just a few of the awesome things included in this app. I’ve tried other apps and they didnt even come close to the mesquite app. Only one question though, is there a way to enlarge the buttons on the screen for guys with big hands like me?

Great accordion app!!. Ive been looking to see which KEY to buy my accordion and this app has made that decision very easy. Great sound! Ads are no in the way unless you select an option that is not readily available in which case it’ll show a full screen video ad, there’s also a banner ad on top of the Mezquite logo sometimes I manage to hit it and the ad opens a new window. Even with the said ads is still a great app for beginners. Highly recommend!!

Fun and educational. What more do you want?. Just getting started with the diatonic accordion and I'm a long ways from anyone that can give lessons. This is a fun little app to practice finger/push/pull patterns with. Yes, there are ads in the free version but.....it's free. What did you expect? I haven't figured it out yet, but is there an "autoplay" feature so you can hear what the song is supposed to sound like before you try and play it? That would be a nice add-on.

Don’t get the free version. I would try to play a few notes and an advertisement would come right up. Ruined the whole thing. Annoying and useless if you’re trying to learn anything at all. It’ll just stop you half way through to force you to watch an advertisement

The best thing to entertain yourself. So this is the best because you get to learn a lot of songs and maybe if you wanna learn you to play it it shows you how to play songs at the right corner this is so good I recommend this to all of you

Lessons. I’m learning myself and helps to get an idea of the scales. Thank u for ur little app. If u purchase the app u wont have any ads. Cause I tried it free and what a drag with the ads so my suggestion is to purchase for a small fee and its worth the purchase ad free.

Love it but this is my review. I really love this game and all the sounds the graphics are all so good I love this game it helps me in so many ways learning new to new sounds every day but there is just to many adds on this when I take off the app and go back on for 1 second a add goes on and when I doing a lesson on the app a add ruins it so mind taking so adds off it will make it better

No inter app audio. Nice sounds, I like it. However, I would like to use it for my GarageBand recordings, since GarageBand doesn’t have one, but it doesn’t work. If we could get this functionality it would be great. Thank you.

Just the ads. Amazing app, I find it helpful. The only problem is the ads. When I’m playing and accidentally touch the bottom of the screen and let go, an ad plays, sometimes while I play. Wish the ads weren’t as invasive as they are now

Amazing app!. This app is amazing and it has all the tones and can teach some songs with good quality sound if it was not for this app I would have been so bored.

Good but ads are annoying. Ok this app is actually good and teaches good just the ads are annoying asf…I know they got to have ads but like cmon some of them don’t even close or gives you the option to close em and I gotta restart the app and yeah but besides that this app is good 👍🏽

So I love this app I’m getting mad because I have an I pad to work on this and I keep pressing the add button and it’s taking me somewhere else and I was wondering if you guys can fix it because in the middle of the song it happens so please fix that or just take it off thank you I’m going to leave a good review but if it keeps happening I’m going complain thank you.

Quick Question. Do you know what the red circle around the buttons mean? It doesn’t let me continue the song other than that it’s good!

Great app for learning the accordion. I use this app when practicing on my accordion. I learn the button sequence then play along with the real song. Thanks for making this app. Please keep adding songs.

The start. Really great app my sister showed me this app and when I used it for the first time I was hooked now my moms gonna sign me up for accordion lessons this is a great head start.

having problem purchasing. The app is great but no matter what im unable to make the purchase and i have everything in order but keeps asking me to continue to sign in.

5 out of 5 stars. This app is the BEST thing if had, and the pro package was worth it, normally it would be $8.99 BUT IT WAS $6.99, no bugs.

Musician. Great realistic accordion sound. I wish these sounds could be accessed through a MIDI controller just like other apps. That would be the ultimate Mezquite. Really guys please do it.

Good but 2 problems. I had this app since I was eight years old. And I really liked the game. But there are 2 problems when I rediscover it. 1. The 3 gray switches are all ads. And the red switches don’t work. The second problem is when I put it in abc (I think that’s the button name), There were 2 of the same notes.

Great. I paid to not have the ads(at first it was basically impossible to play without clicking a ad) and it’s great just need some more new songs!

Good, but two suggestions. It’s a great app to have so you can play a few tunes when you don’t have your accordion with you. I travel often for work so it’s a great addition. Two suggestions. 1.) The advertisement banner is way too close to the push/pull button when you have the button size set to “large”. It’s easy to accidentally tap on the adds and mess up your playing. 2.) For us Irish music players, C#/D and B/C systems would be a fantastic addition. Overall great app.

Missing the bass notes. Great app bought the other accordions but missing the bass notes .Should make an update and add the bass notes ,I’ll pay for that update.

Best accordion app, bar none!. This little app is really neat! It’s helping me in many ways, in learning what each button is according to its note and octave, music theory...and also the buttons being customizable in size to actually practice a little. It really blows the other bigger name accordion app out the water. It features many things the other one doesn’t....like registers, ability to switch to 34 buttons, the Tabs for songs can be played via auto option by simply pressing anywhere on the screen....it actually has more true Norteño songs within the Tabs list, it also has the ability to change how the notes appear on the button layout, etc. Don’t hesitate to choose this one over the other one. This is the best accordion app, without a doubt! Very pleased with it. It accompanies my accordion practices, having it right next to me while I use my real accordion...to check on the app if perhaps there’s another finger sequence I could use that would facilitate or speed up playing. Big kudos to the developer for improving this app over what was previously available! Please keep updating the Tabs with more songs...they’re really appreciated and help in case we get stuck in trying to make out the tunes by ear, the Tabs are a great reference point to fall back on.

Awesome app to learn musica Norteño!. I just wish in the lessons it gave you a number with the amount of plays each note had. Other wise it’s awesome, and totally deserves 5 stars!

Cant even use app without ads popping up constantly. Press 3 buttons, AD. Press another 3 buttons , AD. This app wont let you actually use it unless you pay for adblocking. 0/10 app.

Horrible. At first I was so surprised to find a free accordion app ,but than I realized why it’s free. It always reacts slow and it’s never accurate . That’s why I just decided to just switch to the Hohner app that reacts way more faster . The hohner app has smaller buttons and its still more accurate .

Sounds good BUT.... Sounds good but needs the following: 1. Option to switch which direction the bellows move when holding and releasing the bellows. 2. Wider variety of songs not just norteño (for example: irish trad, morris, zydeco, cumbia, vallenato, chamame, merengue tipico, modern pop songs) 3. and most importantly... BASS BUTTONS!!! PLEASE!! We need an option to activate the bass buttons! ^^ These three things will make this app perfect!

Pop up ads. I try to screen share and play music to show my Friends what Ive Learned and it ONLY gives a stupid pop up add the whole time when I skip it turns the music off and when I turn it on it goes back to a pop up add.

App? What app?. I’ve never used an app that consists of only ads. Good luck trying to do anything with this. Wow. Developers, take a look. Your advertisers have taken over your material to the point get the is no material.

its good to start off here. i was starting to get into learning how to play the accordion and so i download this app and its so easy to use and my parents see that im actually dedicated to learning and now i play the accordion ( the real instrument)

Too many app ads!. If your intention is to make money out of the app through ads, the sheer, abusive amount of ads (worse than Youtube’s, and that is saying a lot) made me want to delete it after ten minutes. Horrid.

Requesting songs. It won’t let me the songs I requested

No sound. Its not producing any sound when i play, how can i fix that?

Pretty Nifty. Sounds good and is realistic, but it could use GarageBand compatibility. I’ve been trying to get a good accordion sound to work for ages now.

Pro package doesn’t work. I bought the pro package and it still does the adds and the registers don’t work. The app itself has potential. Hope they fix the issues
