What is noaa buoy reports app? This is the no-nonsense app to get all the buoy information you need without the clutter of tide or weather forecasts.
You can quickly find current buoy conditions with our intuitive map, and past buoy data with our interactive graphs.
Data is available from nearly 1000 buoys and over 200 ships worldwide. Including both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans off of the United States and Canada, the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, and the waters around Ireland and Great Britain.

With our intuitive map interface, just tap on any buoy to get its latest reported conditions. A second tap will give you a complete summary of current conditions, or a graph of wind, wave, temperature, or pressure information so you can not only see what it's doing now, but what it was doing this morning, or even last week.
You can also add "Favorites" to quickly see what you are important to you with just a glance, and even monitor your favorites with the included Widgets.
This app DOES NOT provide tide data, or maritime or other weather forecasts. There are dedicated apps for these from other publishers that do an excellent job. This app specializes exclusively on buoy and ship observation data.
Please note that not all buoys have all types of data available, and buoys do experience intermittent outages - a life at sea can be harsh!
Additionally, please note that some buoys may be seasonal, and may be physically removed from the water during winter months,, such as in the Great Lakes.

Intuitive Chart Based Buoy Weather app. This app has a few pop-ups to help with the first time you use a function. It also lets you keep a list of favorite buoys so you can find what you need.
Informative. I wish more of the bouys gave a wave height report, other wise I like it
Easy access to info. I work on boats. Getting buoy report quickly and easily makes my job safer. I know what I’m heading into. Being able to see reports from across the ocean makes it possible to track weather systems. I use this a lot.
Great app. Happy to find such an informative app. First free app I’ve found that gives current wave heights which I rely on fishing on Lake Michigan. You can’t go wrong with this one!
Great app!. It’s super handy to have all of the buoy info right there at my fingertips, and upgrading to premium was worth it just for having an extensive favorites list alone. Sailing down the San Joaquin to San Francisco, I’m checking on all of those conditions.
Cool but not accurate. Right now the water temp is 63. This is saying it’s over 70. I just got out of the water and it is definitely closer to 63
No temps. I got this app specifically for water temperature in lower lake michigan. Tired of seeing “N/A”!!!! What gives??
Bring back the Smith island buoy report.. It was a good site until the Smith Island buoy at the East entrance of Juan de Fuca Sraight was removed. That report was essential to determine what the conditions in Rosario Straight might be. Thank you
No data on any buoys.. There
Needs to display past wave heights. Won’t display past wave heights when there is no current wave height information being displayed.
Wave data not working. Wave data on East and West Santa Barbara booties don’t feed to the app, if you go to the NOAA website the wave height is there, Would be nice if it would feed to the app
Informative. I surf several times a week. It’s important to know the wind and wave direction. Knowing the wind speed is handy too. The app is easy to use.

Waste of Money. Do not purchase this app. Better check the ndbc website for a complete report and buoy report than this. I could give zero if there is an option
Very Handy. I drive boat for a living. I use this app to help me make routing decisions. It’s nice to be able to get current info on what the weather is doing right now. Takes a lot of the guess work out of it.

Killer. Water temp and wave size plus wind, easy to know what’s up
Upgraded. I purchased the upgrade so I can look at buoy data, and it still doesn’t work and let me look at the data. Then wants me to purchase the product again. Not good!
Waves. Where are the wave reports?
No data available!?!. Am I doing something wrong? Paid for the upgrade, now I get “No Data Available” as a response and there is absolutely no buoy information available.

Outstanding Service. I used this app everyday 27months when I worked in cleaning up the deep water horizon oil spill . I was on Dauphin Island for my complete service. This App Gave me the help i needed to insure the safety of the day. Out in the water by vessel or on Land. In conjunction with Noaa Radar Live and Cost Gaurds updates my day was planned. THE BUOY REPORTS were accurate and let us know when the waters would be choppy on the water .. Thank You ,Lisa
Love the app; but what about when you’re out there?. I recommend this app to everyone and will continue to do so. I’d really love it if there was a low-bandwidth/satellite option.

Missing Buoy. Buoy 44033 in Penobscot Bay disappeared from my map. Ugh!!!

Ships. Ships never seem to report water temperature??
Nice app. Really nice app that has a great user interface. Needs more buoys tho eg Great Lakes Holland Muskegon south haven ludington etc.

Great buoy app. Really easy to use and read buoy app . Some buoys are wind and temp and some buoys are wave direction and period. Fast loading and easy to scroll all over the world map. Can save certain buoys to your favorites for quick info reading in a favorites list . My favorite buoy app so far
Useful and easy. Very easy app to use. Awesome that you can favorite for east future look up. I wish you could apply filters so if, for example, you wanted to know the wind you could filter off all those that don’t record wind. Or turn off ships. Other the having to find what you’re looking for the app is extremely straight forward and useful.

So useful!. Living near (but not *on*) a large body of water, a person is often surprising how different the big water is than “off shore” reality! This app is sooo helpful to us who live nearby the open seas. Kudos to Cory! Thanks for imagining this tool for boaters.
No data available. It keeps saying there’s no data available for wave height and wind speed etc.
