Whatever you do, don’t use this app. I got this app because of the good review I read. Maybe it was written by someone that is involved within the app. What a mistake. Horrible chat, wants you to buy coins so you can pick which gender to chat with. When You pick a gender, it charges you coons. I checked women. Every woman that showed up on the chat, ended the chat before it began, and of course I would be charged coins for a chat that never happened. A huge ripoff

A continuation of my recent review:. Also, if you are able to, please help us get the bots off of the site/app. They’re killing the experience. Sex bots, spam bots, etc. Even racist bots. They’re randomly created accounts and if you’re able to crack down on how account creation occurs(like put verification actions in the process or something) then it’d be much easier to deal with them. As it stands, I encounter a bot for every 5 Times I am matched.

It loading slow on female match can you fix that problem. It takes forever

Needs Online Feature. There used to be a tab where you could sort your conversations by only who was online at the time and it was really helpful. Could you add that back?

New addition?. This app is a great way to meet people around the world but one thing I think could really make the app more interesting is if you added a group chat feature. I know from personal experience when I meet people who like the same music as me I’d love for them to talk with the other people I talk to. I think a group chat feature on this app could really make it better.

This could have been an awesome app but isn’t one bit. This had the makings to be an awesome app. The makers of this app obviously either don’t care to make this a great app or don’t have the financial funds in order to make a great app. There’s a lot of repetitive chats that pop up, a lot of fake profiles, a lot of scammers on here. I did me a few good people on here so it is possible to meet people on here but don’t expect it to be the final outcome. This is a good app for if you were extremely bored and have absolutely nothing else to do.

A Gold Bar In The Sewer. Not going to lie, my experience on this app wasn’t very good, there were quite a lot of creepy men and boys who just wanted to groom me into sexually assaulting myself for their sick twisted enjoyment, although I did have some okay experiences. And out of the whole cesspool, the last person I met on Chatous was my soulmate. Two years later, I moved over a thousand miles to be with him and we’re getting married soon. So I do owe Chatous a 5 star for giving me the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.

meh. It’s not the worst app out there. My only concern is the problem where you go and try to change something up like your name, bio, or #’s it says you changed it but then you go back and it’s the original one you had. That happens for pfps too smh it’s so annoying please fix it 🙄

I have reported insane and sick people and I still find them. I dislike the app because there are many sexual predators and insane people wishing bad things to others or asking to be violent or sexual with kids or their wives. I have reported them and I still find them, so do something to block them and denounce them to police. Not long ago i found a dude saying he rapes and hits kids and he would share links about it. Pretty disgusting app if you ignore reports from users

Take my ideas and use em. It’s a good app I use to use when I was young but I downloaded it again two days ago and not much has changed but add a dark mode and make it where you can reply from notifications and over time it deletes ended chats so there’s just not a bunch there or at least let us select multiple chats to delete at once and if you wanna make some money off the coin system add ads in return for coins no one is gonna buy coins for your overpriced prices but besides that the app is fun to text new people and stuff so yea I hope you take my ideas into consideration good luck

Coins are a waste of time and money. Don’t buy.. This app used to be amazing but it’s become a load of crap. I know you can’t force people to chat with others but if you’re going to keep the coins then at least have the common curtesy to only have them used for reconnecting with someone or opening a chat directly with someone on the featured list and not for looking for people in your preferred chat only to end up literally wasting your money away. Even gambling is less of a waste of money than this.

Disgusting 🤢. The app itself is alright. it gives me stuff to do when i’m bored and allows me the ability to leave a conversation if i so choose. The disgusting thing is there are account(s)that blatantly advertise child pxrn. i have reported the account(s) several times every time i see them but they are still there. this is gross, super upsetting and puts any minors on the app in danger. I’ve sent feedback on the app and still nothing. Will Chatous staff PLEASE take care of and remove the account(s) for good?!

Be careful. This app can be a great place to meet friends, meet people from other countries, and practice conversation. But be VERY careful, this app is full of predators, people lying about their age (to seem younger, or to seem older too), scams, and horny individuals as the least of your concern. I got fed up with all that but I quit when I realized how much time I was wasting trying to connect to people, and this app got monetized to hell. I would say that this is an 18+ app for sure. There are almost certainly better alternatives that filter out suspicious matches and provide for a safer (and faster) experience.

Broken. It seems to be broken, when I type to much it doesn’t let me text that person anymore. Like I can try and type a paragraph but it doesn’t work, it just stops working and it doesn’t let me text that person anymore

Crap. Avoid if you can.. unless you’re under 25, enjoy dic pics, or into creeps. Seems like every one skips unless your there for sex or you’re hot enough for there liking.. But if that’s what you’re into then no judgment you’ll love it. It’s not for normal nice people who want conversations, friends, or a nice person to get to know/ maybe date. It’s trash and your better off trying any other app.

Notifications for iOS 13. There’s no notifications for iOS 13. Please change it back to where people can get notifications again. Like I have had people end because I didn’t get the notifications at all.. I love this app but come on.

Met my significant other on here!. Neither of us intended on more than a conversation to pass some time. Never would have imagined that I’d actually start my life with this person. 5 stars because she’s the love of my life & we were in love from hello. 0 stars otherwise. This app was (is) filled with horny guys who want nothing more than a virtual hookup, horny grown men looking for the same with minors, “bot” accounts, and people who love to pass up on every person that they could potentially be talking to. With that in mind, it feels like I won the lottery.

Real Review. okay, i know everybody's being super nice about this app and all that but i'm gonna tell y'all the truth. chatous, it's a very interesting app. it's filled w like 4 different groups of people who are on there. 1. Horny people 2. Depressed people 3. Antisocial people 4. Lonely people who will date anyone & finally the 5th category which is incredibly and i mean INCREDIBLY rare. you have to be lucky or have patience to find someone worth keeping. 5. Chill people it's rare but it does happen. All i'm saying is, the app is not the best. I'm not saying don't get it, i'm just saying be patient and maybe you'll find someone worth keeping. I personally use it as a distraction because it's fun when you find a funny person.

Could improve.. The app overall is good to spend some time on whenever you have nothing else to do but one thing I do agree with on one of the reviews is that the male/female features should be like a one time payment thing instead of keep on paying stuff over and over every once in a while.. also another thing is y’all should improve on the app it self like, make it smoother i would say and give more things to do around the app also like give your self a profile with multiple pics and just a profile it self for people to go explore about you more. Anyways the app is good just need a couple more things in it, until then, I will give it 3 stars.

Could be better. All in all it's a great idea but it needs some fixing. Half the buttons on the top don't do anything. Also you have to pay to choose a gender?? There can also be some creeps though this isn't their fault it's the people signing up. They can't really control that.

Does nothing to improve or help.. I have reported SO many accounts that talk about selling or wanting to see child porn, and those accounts are still up and talking to people. Nobody does anything about when you report an account so why is there a report button? Just make it a block button instead. I understand they cannot control the people on the app but they can at least take down accounts that go against FEDERAL LAWS. The design of the app itself is good in my opinion. But I wished there was more done to fix issues still happening.

Mostly scammers. If you buy tokens (which you spend 10 per time when you start a random chat in order to match up with your preferred sex) be prepared for about 90% of those chats to match you to a scammer trying to get you on google chats or some explicit content seller. I feel robbed for buying the coins I did because I have spent hours trying to talk to a random person and I might find 1 or 2 in that time with the rest being fakes or people not interested in chatting at all but just your wallet. Aside from this, this app is probably one of the better done random chat apps as far as the quality and feel of everything. Too bad there are so many bots and no way to recoup the currency you spent real life money on just to get matched up with freaking bots.

Actually a solid app. Of course the user base is gonna be made up of lonely users what did you expect. But surprisingly enough you can actually find plenty a solid people to talk to. The tricky part is getting them to talk to you, but a solid profile pic and bio should be enough to not constantly get skipped. And if people stop talking mid chat, it’s you not them

Could be amazing. The app needs a big change fix the whole design and colors, then get rid of the paying for coins crap an make a vip cause I’m tired of seeing guys with there disgusting parts out cause I have to pay to talk to girls even for girls they don’t wanna see those either then ban sexual pictures so they aren’t allowed to be put in the profile or if you do allow it make it a different category from everyone

Make new friends, no matter where. I love this app - being able to connect with people across the world who share my interests is great. I found someone in Barcelona who shares my interest in Marvel movies - we now talk on the regular. Very cool idea here.

Fix the app ASAP. This app was such a great place to find amazing people to talk to about 3-4 years ago. Ever since then more people have found out about it and it’s full of weirdos,creeps,a lot of people being underage but saying there 18 or older,people selling there pics and even people using children as there profile pics. You also get the same people over and over again and never see any new people. This app needs to have a big change come it’s way and fast. Only good thing I have to say about it and it’s the reason I gave it 2 stars is because I’ve found a few decent people on there but that’s about it.

Take the App down.. This app is infested with child pornography and predators. The inadequate moderation and non-functioning “block” feature make this app a living cesspool for federal criminals. Chatous needs to take responsibility for their part in not properly moderating their app, and either should take the app down considering they can’t handle the mostly degenerate userbase or increase moderation efforts. Honestly wish the developers face consequences considering they clearly dont moderate their app enough as its turned to a place where illegal-image distributors and pedophiles are harbored.

They do nothing to improve. They do absolutely nothing to remove scammers who pop up all the time - even after innumerable reports. They need to remove them , or at least allow people to block people you are not actively chatting with - example- this “Kyla” sex scammer person- also known as Ksenia and other names - she comes up but doesn’t even stay for a second, immediately signing off, so she can’t be blocked - let us block people who we have spoken to in the past so they don’t keep coming up! Even when you pay good money to get certain people to chat with/ same scammers keep coming up - never dealt with

Could give it a 0 if possible.. I had this app for approximately 4 years on and off and deleted it this year due to multiple reasons. The app is infested with bugs to the point you just meet the same bots who are seeking odd stuff such as child pornography, and other by god gross things and linking you to those websites. Even when you update your profile, others cannot see it til’ you reinstall the app once more along with them if you’re considering of staying friends. I want to clarify that this was supposed to be a talking app, but expect numerous of guys and gals (although the ratio is higher in males in this app) to treat this app like Tinder. There is about 5% of people on the app who are seeking to actually have a friendship while the rest, who even knows. Fetish seeking people is what. The app is filled with horrendous people who are catfishes, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, pedophiles, xenophobic, and basically anything phobic that’s negative you can think of really. The amount of disrespect towards people here is atrocious. Photos also come out blurry, which is a weird thing. Not sure why though. If you think of installing this app, DON’T. You will be disappointed.

a hive for some horrible human beings.. i’ve made very few, decent connections, here on the app. however all of the pro’s of the app are totally taken over by the fact of how many vile, disgusting people use this app. the amount of account i’ve seen advertising “child p*rnography”, people trying to get pictures of my little sister, etc. This app needs more moderation. These people dont deserve a platform.

please use these ideas. it’s really inconvenient that people you’ve matched with can’t see your profile updates. when you change your profile picture and bio, they still see the old one from when you first connected with them. the app makes profile pictures look so much lower quality than they actually are, and then people think you’re a catfish! on the online version (i have mac) you can only reply to your old conversations or video chat. there is no option to text chat like in the ios app. other than that, there are many profiles that are bots. there should be some kind of spam regulation that whenever someone stays on the “waiting for chat” page without clicking anything or skipping, they should be suspended for a short amount of time. lastly, you seriously need some profile picture checking system. i’ve seen way too many nudes just scrolling, trying to find normal people to talk to. i truly love this app and will stay on it but these things are what’s going to make it like tinder and other random chat apps.

Where’s the video chat button???. Guys just delete this app they remove the option to video chat others. And that’s the only reason why I use this app to meet other people but now since they removed the option to video chat I’m deleting this app. You guys need to add the option video chat again!

Awesome way to connect people. I love this app! I usually never take the time to review apps but this is a great idea. I love meeting new people and this app makes it possible to find people across the globe with similiar interests as you!! Definitely worth the download!

I Found my Wife Here.. Look… I know this sounds wild, but I downloaded this app 7 years ago. Matched with a girl who lived 3 states away. 7 years and a lot of details later… we’re married! Had a daughter, bought a house, got a dog… no seriously, I’m deadass. Wild story, because this app had an integral part in bringing my family together.

Pretty bad— but I met an amazing person here. I will admit, this app is kind of horrible. It can often be a cesspool of creeps, bots, etc. But, at the same time, you can meet the best people on earth here! I met an amazing friend here, who I deeply love and care for, and who also feels the same for me. But nevertheless, that rare miracle is not enough to negate its many, many short comings. Firstly, the app doesn’t update your profile once you’ve started conversation. There should be more regulations to prevent pervs and creeps from polluting the app. There should also be a feature to send videos, instead of just recording them, and to italicize bold, or cross texts. Also, it’d be amazing if I could see old conversations, they disappear. I hope the developers take some user suggestions, this app has serious potential, but it’s still lacking.

Met my partner. Actually met my husband on this hellscape of an app. It’s mostly filled with weirdos, creeps, and bots but if you’re lucky enough to find someone decent to talk to, it’s almost worth the rest of the strange crap. Met as teenagers, have done 4 years of long distance trips, and will be getting married in August. It’s a lovely story but this app still has such a gross reputation we pretend we met online playing video games. Definitely do not let your kids under 17 anywhere near this. But thanks, Chatous, for my awesome partner and our own secret/inside jokes about this weird webscape you’ve created that will never get old.

Be careful. I’ve used this app on and off for 6 years now and even though lately I don’t expect much from it. It has come to my attention there are a lot of fake foreign scammers who catfish you, trying to blackmail you or get personal information from you. Please don’t be fooled they are very deceiving. As for the dev team, they need to find a way to prevent people like this from having access to an app like this.

Support nonexistent. Waste of money. I bought coins... horrible idea. I still have almost all of them, the app stopped working (doesn’t make connections) and there seems to be zero support for this app. Try to send feedback in the app- “error try again”. Click on the terms of use- nothing shows except a broken web link. Don’t waste your time or money

pretty good but.... i’d have to say this app fulfills what it is intended for. nice, often quick chats with interesting people and a chill way to spend the time when you’re bored. my only big thing, though, at least for me, it doesn’t seem to let me go back any further than a few messages in conversations. what if i want to read through a few months just for memories? apparently i can’t. which makes me quite sad. other than that, neat app. would love if i could scroll to the very beginning of a chat, though.

People Lying about Their Age. I do like this app, this is the only app where you can be under 18 and make friends easily in a good space, however, over 50% of the people I talk to on this app, their profile will say they’re 16 or 17 but then they say they’re in their 40s or 30s and they think “oh the 18+ side of this app is boring and weird” is a good excuse for lying about their age. I don’t know what the game developers can do about it maybe a photo verification so their age is accurate, other than that reoccurring issue, I like this app.

This app is ok buuuuut. Okay. So I’ve had this app since I was 16, and I come and go. I was talking to a friend today and found out that when you update your bio It doesn’t actually update. So I still have “I’m 16” in my bio. It’s what people actually see. IM 19! And I have changed that bio so much since and it still is the same as when I first made it. Please fix this.

Plus and minus. I have to say that this app is very fun, sometimes. However, there are creepy people on here, but you’ll see those people everywhere. I had a few guys grooming me saying that they love me, want to spend the rest of our lives together, etc., but what I do have to give it credit for is my current boyfriend. He is sweet and he lives far away but he has come to visit me four times. So yes this app has its down sides but there are good things about this app.

Fake people. There are so many fake people on this app. So many inappropriate guys and inappropriate profile pics. It’s really annoying that most of the people on here are rude and very inappropriate but I have found some interesting people on here. I think the app should be better at banning inappropriate people because I’m 14 and there are so many 30 year old guys that just want nudes 🙄. Every once and a while I’ll find someone worth talking to. If there weren’t so many fake guys on here then this would be a great app to find friends.

Needs improvements. Not only do some of these reviews sound beyond fake, none of them really explain what needs redone. There should be a monitoring system that doesn’t allow disturbing images as profile pictures, messages shouldn’t delete after time, once you skip a person they shouldn’t come back twice in a row, and there’s so much improvement needed, i love this app but there are many different ideas that could make this app even better

It’s an ok app. The app is ok,the only problem I have with Chatous is the video chatting. When I try to video chat it won’t let me connect to anybody. Now that might just be an iPhone thing because I know people who have androids and the video chat is working perfectly fine on there. If you guys could fix the video chat,this would be a great app.

Mediocrity in its Purest Form. The app is alright. It servers it’s purpose, talk to somebody random for 15 minutes when you have literally nothing else to do. It would be nicer if the paid features were a one time purchase instead of paying a small amount multiple times, though. The app itself can have framerate issues after extended use, but it doesn’t matter that much since it’s just a texting app really, and the lag is fixed with a restart. The one feature this app could really use is an option to appear offline so other people can’t see if you have it open or not. Notification spam. The app gives you a notification saying something like 'meet new people on chatous' every few days if you're not using it, which you can't disable without turning off all notifications

Disappointing update.. I had been using your app for a while now. I found it a great way to meet new interesting people. But then with the new update, the tags was a bit disappointing... People use stupid tags and I think that it almost ruins the experience. Also I am now having trouble doing the normal search, few bugs I think. I rated it 4 stars for I think it's a great app, and I want more people to join. But based on the new update I would have rated 2-3. I hope you don't take this as criticism, I just would like you to improve or rethink a few ideas. Thanks for a great social app.

Disappointed. When going to search for people/start a new chat, it won't countdown from 60 and find people. I never had this problem before the update I'm just slightly disappointed as it's a great app for finding interesting and nice people and I feel as if I'm missing out on more amazing people if I can't start new chats.

Mmm.... Its an ok app, fun when you find someone proper to talk with. Most of the time people just skip you, then the people that dont skip you turn out either to be not interested or horny. Fun for pranks. Its ok to get.

Issues. I have had an overall good experience with the app, however as of late, I can no longer see messages from a partner in app, I still get notifications, and this is the only way I know what my chat partner is saying. Very annoying please fix.

This app used to be just fine before the update, you could talk to anyone random (any gender) regardless, and it was free, now they make us pay to to Äcess these so called "premium" features, tokens was the worst idea, I can make a 100 different accounts and keep repeatingly smash the 1 star button on this map

App with a great potential!. This app has a lot of potential to be one of the best apps to meet random people but wad ruined by some basic things such as dark mode, tags, image quality reduced when sending a picture and a bunch of other things similar to them...

Suggestion !. Most of the interface is coloured white which really hurts your eyes after a while. Maybe you could add a night mode where everything is black ?

Bad update. Since the update this app has completely gone to the dogs. You are unable to start a new chat with the same settings if someone leaves you. You can't narrow down who you're looking for. It's just horrible. Change it back. Just change it back.

Can't get past the profile settings. So I would review this app but I can't even get past making a profile; it erases everything I put in there the second I finish inputting it. Don't waste your time on this app til this is fixed.

Don't like the new update. This update has only made the app confusing I can't read bios cause the profile pics are to big and I can't even choose to talk to people in my same age group and constantly come across all these 20-29 year olds that are jerks to talk to

Worst app and support team. After registration and setting up all your personal data, you have to pay a monthly charge. There is no try version or delete button for your account. I tried to contact the support team to erase my data, - no respond.

Unfortunate. It has the ability to be a great social app. It is hindered by the bots and fake profiles that make it stupid to waste a dime on this app. You buy tokens to have more selective chats. Yet they match you with sex bots that ask for money and skip. Total waste of money. I don't recommend this app.

:/. This is an alright app. You meet different people and it can be quite fun. However, you can’t (at least I can’t) edit your bio once you have it. And you can only add characters in certain places and it’s quite frustrating

New update is complete trash. Why do you need to skip a person twice and that if you get skipped you have to re search. It is a terrible update and should go back to the older versions please

Good. Good app, not the top, it proposes you only the ppl connected so you can chat as soon as you see the person. But, a lot of persons on this app asks nudes so be beware of it! Otherwise it is a good application and very great to meet people around the world (mostly in europe and canada)

Can’t get back in. Due to changing my phone it logged me out. I dont remember my password and there’s no way of retrieving it. I’ve meet someone that I really care about and now that I can’t get back in I’ve lost him. This app is not useful. I’ve tried contacting them to see if they can help me but I haven’t gotten any response. Thank you for not helping me and letting me lose someone so important to me. I very much enjoyed this app and it’s unfortunate that I must delete it.

Sooooo much potential. Theres really isnt another app like this one. I know you developped Melon, but it doesnt come anywhere near this. If a little more love was poured into it i’m convinced it could be really great. I’ve been using it for several years now and the quality has been declining a lot. Maybe if you guys wanna stick to promoting Melon, you could add the same chat feature as Chatous to it, so people could choose if they’d rather video chat or just text chat?

Good but…. It's a good app but it could use some improvements. For one, it should stop charging for so many features; it already has ads. Also, it should have more languages available; I would imagine that this would take barley any effort or knowledge from the developers. But mainly, in should allow hashtags for chats that aren't in English.

Shell of its former self. This app used to be great a few years ago. I actually met a few people IRL and became friends because of it. Now it’s just filled with weird guys, and girls selling pictures. With some obviously fake bot accounts scattered in the mix. It either needs a serious overhaul or a shutdown at this point.

Ok, but needs moderation. Lots of people on the app are legit there to talk, but I've seen some predatory accounts aimed at the youth. Whatever you do don't let your kids use this app. Whenever I report the accounts I don't see any results.

Video chat?!. What happened to my video chat icon? I’ve deleted the app and downloaded the app again. This still didn’t fix my problem. Mean while it has wasted close to 1000 points switching for person to person.

Very disheartening. I spent $20 because I wanted to try to meet women and most skipped me which would be fine but it costs money even though they skip you instantly and I tried very hard to make a good profile at least give my money back

Fix The App. Needs to be fixed i just downloaded it and i cannot even use it it just stays loading. This app can have potential but only if the coders and engineers have the potential and dedication to make the project profitable and enjoyable. First action should be fixing any bugs and constant updates to keep it functioning correctly.

No Video Chat and doesn’t work well with iPhone X. There is no option to video chat anymore as well as the fact that it’s extremely hard to push the back button and message bar on my iPhoneX. Extremely unimpressed and I loved this app

Can’t log in. Nothing was loading so decided to delete the app and then reinstall it. Once I got it downloaded, I went to sign in with the write information and it’s taking forever to log in or says, “unable to log in at this time”

Terrible. Can’t read bios when you match with someone. Have to click chat to view it. Also, half the time the app is down. Just spins when trying to match.

Cannot remove off my phone. I reinstalled the app recently and I tried to delete it off, but Everytime I shut off my phone or anything related it shows back up without the logo on the icon. oh man this app is something else. I found this app in 2017 with my sister. She met boy on here and then he continued to stalk her to this very day. He got her in an atv accident because her ex texted her happy birthday. And he is actually a psychopath so be CAREFUL DONT BE TOO TRUSTING thank you.

Matching. This recent updates basically eliminates any chance of talking to someone. It takes forever to match with someone, and once you do, you get skipped. Just fix the algorithm and it’ll go back to how it was.

Banning. I feel they should do a way better job in reviewing the reports. There are countless members with child pornography in their profiles. I’ve seen this countless times. I feel it need a way better reviewing process.

Group chat access!. Should definitely make it able to use group chats

Bots. This app has many nice people but it is 95% of the time just bots, it would be amazing if you could possibly block specific names so I dont see AmilyHot or Victoria (bots) for 20 minutes before I find a normally person that ends up skipping me anyways. Id give the app a higher rating if there was not so many bots.

Buggin. So like the last few days or whatever it’s been taking a while to match w other ppl. At first I thought it was jus me but I asked ppl who matched w me after like forever and they said the same thing. Besides that overall it’s good.

Send voice messages, pics, anything in that plus button. When i go to send voice messages and pics it starts to lag out and then it crashes the app. U should fix that.
