Great App!. I love how quick the updates are. Seems to be a constant rate of information coming in. It’s great to read news from literally the whole world.

Cool idea, poor execution. The app is pretty. The information itself is okay. It seems LLM generated, I notice inaccuracies. Lots of news included that feels useless or irrelevant (sports news?). Some news flagged as “high” also seems very underwhelming; do we need an “extreme” category?

Good. Pretty good, although, as a student, I wish you could read at least a couple sentences after opening the alert without paying. Would be 5 stars

Map dots not working correctly. Following news in Mexico and when I click on the post it’s pointing to areas in Asia instead of the towns in Mexico.

Paywalls. You can’t do anything in the app besides look at headlines, unless you pay $10 per month. Don’t waste your money paying for publicly available information. X has more reliable, real-time news if you’re looking for open source intelligence.

Just the beginning. As a news junkie I’ll never use anything else. This is bar none, the best app available for real time breaking news & events. I get notified on SitRep HOURS, sometimes DAYS before the major outlets pick it up. I feel this has so much potential to change reporting & information sourcing as we know it. If you wanna be first in the know give it a shot.

Useless without paying. The app prompts you to pay every time you open it, and basic features require payment.

Interesting concept, bad execution. The app is just okay, certainly not worth the 9.99 they want to charge monthly. It’s just AI generated bullet points. No depth, no analysis, no links or sources either. Maybe it will improve in the future, but until then, certainly not worth paying monthly. Maybe at 1-2 bucks a month this would be cool.

Overuse of AI. Missing details.. This app is a cool idea. It’s a little slow. The updates all seem to be sourced from mainstream news unlike its claim to also source from social media channels. The use of AI is excessive and becomes repetitive quickly. The same bad prompts lead to paragraphs and paragraphs of useless text. The historical context which is also generated by AI doesn’t seem to include recent history so they’re using a model that doesn’t consume the very breaking news they claim to support. It would at least be much better with Grok as a backend because the historical analysis is always out of context. I think $10 is prob too much monthly even if everything was fixed.

Real information in real time!. impressed with SITREP! From the moment you open it, the speed is remarkable – no more waiting around for things to load. Nothing else like it. I actually don’t want my competitors to know how good this app is, because I think it confers instant advantage over other firms in my field. Bravo to the guys behind this chunk of sorcery.

A little too informative. I like getting the push notifications on major breaking news, and I really like how the data is organized in the briefings. 5 stars if I could dial in which push notifications I get because it's too much currently, and I've only got a handful of countries on my watch list that I want updates on periodically. Overall, great work team 💪💪

I like this. But will be better in several languages

Unbiased Review. I rarely rate news apps, let alone write a review, but in this instance, I must break that rule I have to write this. As a news-junkie of multiple decades, I’ve had every news app, paid and free, as well as subscriptions to NYT, Washington Post, WSJ, as well as Ground News and every news platform right, left and center. Why? Because getting a “straight” news article is next to impossible when it comes to geopolitical affairs. That is where SITREP really shines! No fluff, no bias, no slant, no spin! The best part is SITREP gives you EXACTLY what you need to be an informed news consumer: Who, What, When, Where, Why PLUS a brief analysis of why they published the info. Better still, they DO provide the citations for who broke a news item or claimed it. Add to that you can set up countries that you want items from, plus “confidence levels” (low, medium, high) as to how reliable a story likely is… and you can filter that way, as well as set up notifications for levels. I used SITREP for less than 30 minutes and immediately set up a Pro level account for $9.99 … well worth every penny!!! Do it. You won’t regret it. And they are constantly updating the app! Bonus!

Good but some bugs. The apps works but I keep getting old notifications and old news about things that aren’t happening and isn’t being covered by any other sources.

Unique and deep!. This site is phenomenal.. wow… real time otg intel… and verifiable..

Why the constant need to log in?. I love the reporting, and the followed tab is excellent. 5 stars for those! What irks me is having to log in half the time I open the app. Please, just keep me logged in. This is what takes it down stars in my book.

Limited utility at the moment but significant potential in the future. TLDR: great for tips and leads for further investigation. Extremely unreliable in its current format and the UI is frankly bad. As a graduate student (US citizen, English language speaker) studying global intelligence with a focus on cybersecurity and defense intelligence, this app has been an interesting novelty over the course of my trial period and it has provided me some breaking news I would have otherwise missed. However, for an average user unable to proactively vet sources— or for a user with significant time constraints— this app represents an informational overload. Absent the ability to directly investigate the “curated” sourcing of specific briefings/notifications, it is NOT an authoritative source for breaking intelligence, even in cases where sourcing could later be evaluated as credible. The app has huge potential and I will continue to use it but if you are seeking an authoritative source, without the need to extensively vet the claims provided, I HIGHLY advise seeking a different product. Additionally, there are frequent UI bugs that make the design of the app unintuitive and decrease its usability. The map feels like a gimmick that takes away from the readability on the reports, forcing you to scroll frequently while looking as a map display that takes up 1/3-1/2 of your device’s screen while providing no additional information. At $10/mo I cannot recommend this application, despite its novelty and ingenuity. It increases the uncertainty of a decision-maker and likely exposes them to superfluous/ extraneous data unrelated to their needs as an intelligence consumer, in its present form. If these challenges can be overcome, this is a revolutionary platform for a wide variety of users.

Best news app available. As someone who travels regularly, having SITREP keeps me informed at all times without having to search every individual country. SITREP is simply the only app that does this.

Great aggregation app. Love the application and what it provides, however if you’re going to be an AI Aggregator for OSINT, please provide sources. It is irresponsible to not to.

A. I like it, and it’s not one of those intrusive apps scraping all kinds of your data off your device either.

SITREP #1. Hard to articulate just how fast, fresh, and curated the alerts feel. SITREP was alerting on events far before I saw them hit the major news wires…a huge life saver for anyone in the threat detection and mitigation world!

Need sources. As someone who has been getting into the realm of open source intel, this app and its interface are phenomenal. However, I personally believe one of the major aspects of open source are, the source themselves and credibility. If sources were included in briefings, I think it would go a long way to validate the credibility of this app and would give more confidence to the consumer. If there were cited sources, I would have no problem paying the monthly subscription, as again the format and interface are miles ahead of anyone else.

Other news isn’t the same. I was skeptical at first, especially with everyone trying to “replace news” so to speak. This app has been an absolute game changer for me. No padding, no anchor, no spin on narrative, and no regurgitated information. I have been scrolling on this for hours. This is something that everyone today should have. Every country in the world?? Who else does this? No one. Not even New York Times

Unbelievable Unbiased New. This app is amazing! If you want unbiased news from around the world before it’s even posted this is the app for you! I love that you can create a watchlist and get updated notifications on your phone before it has even been shown on any other news app! This app is completely game changer and worth the download!!

Promising Start. Congrats Artorias on a good launch to a promising product. This is a great tool for ensuring you are immediately informed of developments around the world. However, there are some key issues that prevent this from scoring higher: 1. No sources. This is the big one. It’s not excusable to not have sources to click on to read more on each story or verify that a headline is accurate. 2. Missing locations. Some smaller countries (all seem to be island countries in the Caribbean and pacific) don’t currently have intel feeds. But there is still news about these places and a worldwide intel app really needs to have a way of viewing news developments from all UN member states. 3. Impact assessment. Right now, too many things are classified as High Impact. This may sound cruel, but every time an airstrike is conducted in a war zone (ie Israel/Palestine, Ukraine, Yemen) it should not be counted as High Impact. Currently, major strategic developments are crowded out on the High Impact screen by these lower level tactical developments. If these issues are fixed, ESPECIALLY THE SOURCES ONE, then this review would be 5 stars.

Some inaccuracies and political bias. This initially helped us see everything going on worldwide, putting the information we needed all in one place so we could prioritize events for discussion, but In the SITREP reports, we received frequent inaccuracies, some small, some large (such as referring to certain well known government officials by incorrect title or position on more than one occasion). Additionally, my group (consisting of Democrats and Republicans alike) seemed to agree, the information we were receiving tended to have a significant amount of political bias, both in the information provided and analysis. We could care less if you lean left or right. We rely on facts and information only. We don’t care about politics or agendas. This was an interesting concept but it seems to have missed the mark. Subscription cancelled.

Keeps me updated. Sitrep has kept me up-to-date on major developments in my Security research area in my watch countries.

Absolutely insane. This app is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and well worth the price. Unbiased, fact and data based news feeds. Totally unique. I really would like some option around seeing the sources. Additionally down the line it would be cool if there was maybe a different way to view the daily briefing in a more concise manner.

No Account NO News. If you don’t pay for an account you don’t even get a full headline let alone a SITREP.

Great app. Great app for tracking geopolitics, news, and pretty much anything. I really like the fact you can make a watchlist and can search for topics.

Do not download this app.. I downloaded this app and immediately had doubts about its security. After digging into its permissions and background activity, I became concerned that it might be collecting more data than it needs. Based on the behavior and lack of transparency from the developers, I don’t believe they have the infrastructure or experience to protect user data. Use at your own risk.

Great App - Could Use Some Product Enhancements. Summaries are great and gets info you might not see too easily elsewhere. Some product updates that would be great: 1. Have a ‘feed’ similar to Twitter/X that has its own dedicated tab. The map tab is nice, but I know where the countries are, so I don’t want to give up 40% of the screen to the map. 2. Have a Daily Briefing tab. This would be a tab with each country listed in your watchlist with a link to its daily briefing. 3. Make it so the entire summary/BLUF fits on the map/feed item. Right now you can read most of it but have to click into each one to see the whole sentence.

Exceptional app. This app is absolutely amazing, keeps me up to date on every conflict from every single country on earth.

Analytical Game-changer. I’m absolutely impressed by the content the app delivers. It gives everything and I need, and none of what I don’t. It continues to get better and better. The desktop version is a major plus when my phone isn’t available. The only change I want to see right now is the sharing option. When I make a screenshot, the app prompts me to use its sharing feature. The only problem with that is, you need to be signed into an account to see it. Perhaps something like the NYT where I’m able to gift 10x “reports” or give an exec sum and leave out the analysis.
