Lost quality. Worst weather app in Evansville. Was pretty good until the hiring of Arden Gregory seems to have changed in all aspects of weather forecasting. Don’t understand Jeff and Byron not fixing her mistakes.

Widget option for IOS. I enjoy using this weather app, the only think I would like to see different is the ability to have a widget on your IOS device such as how the weather app works. Would that be an improvement you all would look in to?

Good weather reports. We follow 14 news most every night. Jeff Lyons is our favorite with Arden a close second. Keep ip the good work. Thank you for accurate reporting.

This app is pretty good!. I live in Evansville and the app is usually correct! It takes a while to load and has few to many ads, but it's pretty good.

Radar to slow. If the radar was able to play the past faster it would be good app but seems like it keeps getting worse

The reason. The reason for this is not just for the app but for the whole newscast too. We live in southern Muhlenberg county. When it comes to general weather and severe weather you seem to miss our community past Weir. We usually have to go to News channel 5 to see what is coming our way. I have always loved your station and have always counted on it. Then when I moved next to the Plantation House area of Greenville I became very disappointed in this station and its app because it usually wrong on its weather for us as well.

Broken Notification Settings. Please fix the notification settings. They go off every morning, even though I only have tornado watch and tornado warnings turned on.

It’s marginally decent should be great. The functionality is good and they actually give a local forecast at times instead of basically copying and pasting the free info from the NWS and charging you for it. The problem I have is that they don’t do live updates often enough and there is a consistent issue with the live streaming. We lost power the other day during a storm and I was trying to use the app to see a live stream. Nope! But they did play the advertising, during a storm and tornado warning…. Never got the stream to work. In acceptable.

Glitches. Here lately the weather app has not been loading instead window saying cannot be accessed in your area. It also happens on my husbands phone.

Slow. Very slow to load when needed. If the weather is great, no storms in the area, the app pops right up. If there are any storms coming through (when you need it the most) it may not load at all. I believe it has something to do with the gps, finding your current location.

Crashes all the time!. Please repair this app. Something is terribly wrong with it. It crashes all the time now. I have to restart over and over agin. I finally just give up, trying to watch it! Please help me!

Last Alert 14Wfie. Never updated latest weather forecast. It will state it is a 5pm forecast but you start to watch the forecast only to find that it’s the 6 am weather forecast.

Ads. Love this app!! I wish the ads would turn off during severe weather events. Yesterday we had tornadoes everywhere and I couldn’t get the app to load past the very first screen with the vehicle add.

Crashes constantly!!!. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!! This app constantly crashes when you try to go to the radar tab. Today it would even crash on the first screen right before the video would load. I have checked my free space on my iPhone and I have several GB available. I have restarted my phone, restarted the app, even deleted the app and reinstalled and it made no difference.

Too many alerts.. It has settings to turn on and off, but I keep getting unwanted notifications to watch their live news. Just send the alerts I ask for and not so many advertisements for your shows.

App isn’t working correctly. I use this app all the time. Normally it’s a 5 star app, but on my iPad version, the “live” radar section hasn’t worked for about 2 months… I think that was the last update. It currently only shows “Future” radar. Still works great on my iPhone!!! 4/2/25

Crying Wolf!. Goes off too often for no reason. Live in Evansville, but get alerts for possible rain in Owensboro. Also, get upset when the only alert is to watch the forecast to see what the weather might be (usually early in the morning)!

14 Weather App. I love this app. Always up to real time. You get alarms if there are storms coming in your area or near by you can see the radar just like your watching tv. Alerts sound for not just storms but high humidity, pollen, tornado warnings or just a beautiful day ahead good for cutting grass. You can plan your day out if you need a umbrella, a jacket whatever the case may be. I’ve watched storms come to family out of town so I can let them know to get in their safe place in Kentucky or surrounding areas. Thank you the whole 14 staff for keeping us up to date good or bad weather!

Riddled with junk ads. I really want to like this app, but it’s extremely touchy with freeze ups and annoying pop-up ads. Very cluttered looking too, with the live feed buried towards the bottom. You’re trying to focus on protecting yourself and your family from incoming violent storms, and you have to deal with it, unfortunately. You know that iPhone game that you want love, but it’s just impossible because of all the ads?? That’s the experience you get here. Thumbs down. 👎

14 weather application. Great app, very useful, up to the minute

When every second counts... You’re out of luck with this app. This app seems to get slower and slower every time I TRY to use it. End up giving up and going to other weather apps. Get rid of the annoying ads too. I’d pay for a fast, functional, working local weather app.

Load time. It’s taking longer and longer to load and open up that sometimes I just close it and not try until the next day. Really irritated

The ads. Well, I’ll leave another review since mine was deleted for some reason, probably because I mentioned who the ads are for, get rid of the car ads on the radar. Channel 14, YOU say every second counts - that ad is up for 3 seconds, I guess those seconds don’t count.

Live feeds. Couldn’t get the weather live feeds on this app during all the tornado warnings yesterday.

Crash!!!. It crashes a lot now and so many useless alerts to look at videos... check the weather this morning... if I hear a alert .. it best be important.. not to watch a billion videos

Too many ads. There are too many ads. Last week we had tornadoes in our area. All we had was our phones and this app during a power outage. When we open the app to see updates, warnings, or live feed we have to watch an ad! I feel that a weather app that is sometimes your only way to get updates in a dangerous situation, there shouldn’t be any ads playing! If no ads, I would give a 5 star review as everything else is great.

Owensboro citizen. We can always depend on Channel 14 News and Weather for accurate information . First thing we do is turn on Channel 14 for information on weather or any emergency .Papaw

It’s, alright.. I have been using this app for almost a years now, and it’s been excellent. But, I’ve noticed that the radar keeps getting slower~ and slower~ every time I use it. And, it’s really inaccurate. When I need the radar, it will either crash, or not show anything. And again, very inaccurate. When we plan to do inside stuff, it ends up being sunny. When we plan outside stuff, we get rained on. It has been getting worse as I casually use it, just about everyday.

First Alert 14 News. The weather application is great! I love it. I am not sure I get the news. Maybe I have the wrong application downloaded. Thanks.

The app has many flaws that goes on and on without correcting. The app has many flaws. This screenshot was made on March 14 when it was 52° outside and I wanted an accurate temperature and radar screen, but it is seldom available to me. It won’t let me put a screen shot on here but it was showing 78° and nothing on radar when it’s pouring down rain here I try and try to let them know so they can correct the problem but there’s no way to contact them through this app

Weather not Commercials. Too many commercials make difficult to get weather info. Often just give up and check a weather app.

14FirstAlert. 14FirstAlert Is always telling me what exactly the temperature is and is always notifying me for tornados, snow and storms

Never works.. Long load times seems to be getting worse and worse. Then if you click any of the videos it continues to say error cannot load requested video. I have the newest version and even deleted and reinstalled and same issues.

Way too intrusive. Alerts for every thunderstorm for 100 miles. I live in Evansville I don’t want that annoying alarm sound every time the forecast changes for somewhere a state over. And never mind the ads. Video is okay though.

Weather app. Love the hourly & daily forecasts. Wish the radar worked more often.

Ads. Too many ads. It’s enough already. Get rid of the ads and you’ll have a good website.

Best weather app. This is by far the best weather app. I can pause radar, go forward and backward, and zero in on my location. No other app allows a user to do this. I have tried countless. It is also very accurate. My kids, students, and other family are always asking me to check the weather. FANTASTIC!!

Best source for weather. This is my go to place for all things weather!

Job Scheduling Tool. My job requires me to know the weather conditions before we schedule the day. The 14 app is perfect for me to know when favorable or unfavorable weather events are going to happen.

Won’t open. After I open this app and go back again it will not open unless I shut my phone down and turn back on. Frustrating!!!

App won’t open anymore.... Have had the app for several years and have always loved it. Not sure what has happened but, it just gives me the “boot” screen w/the spinning wheel of death, and never opens. Have rebooted my phone and even deleted and re-downloaded app to no avail

Really??!!. Never had any issues with this app, and now after the update...not only did I have to put ALL of my information in again, it now crashes before it even loads! Please go back to what works!!! 😩

Ridiculous.. It says to make sure wifi is turned on or air plane mode is off. Well air plane mode IS off. I do. It have wifi. I'm not getting wifi. And the piece of junk won't let me access any settings. It will only give me the above info with a never ending option to RETRY! 😡

Great App but needs larger screen support. I love this app and I would give it five stars, but it needs to utilize the full size of the iPhone 5, 5s, & 5c screen space as the WFIE news app does. It would be nice to be able to see more of the radar if the app were updated to fix this!

Poor App.. This app is not designed well with lots of ads. It also often can crashes. Overall not a good app.

Why??. Why did U mess with a good app? I clicked on it this morning as usual, & was very unpleasantly surprised. It took a few minutes to find anything. Much more user unfriendly & harder to read! Bad choice

The ad that nearly cost everything. Imagine this: you are huddled together with your family in a closet because you received an alert that a tornado has touched down in your neighborhood. The power has went out due to the storm so the only connection you have to see where the tornado is on your mobile device. So you open your "first alert" weather app to do just that. Your baby's crying and you're trying to listen for the sound of a tornado. You click on the live feed tab and BOOM a two minute video advertisement pops up on your phone (there is no option to skip the ad mind you) so you have to sit there terrified and wait for the news station to make a few cents before you get the information that your life may depend on! Because this is exactly what happened to our family, and it could happen to yours. What is the point of a "first alert" weather app when "ever second counts" if you're forced to wait until a completely irrelevant advertisement takes those precious seconds and flushes them down the toilet? Unless of course the advertisement is for a funeral home...

U give too many alerts. It's like nonstop I mean why two alerts in less than 5 min it's not necessary you keep alerting and alerting I mean if a warning I understand but a watch !

14 App. I do not like the new update is very frustrating... The old layout was more user friendly. This use to be my favorite weather app and now it is my least favorite :(

Nice app. This is the best weather application available. Well put together. I haven't had any issues at all. I would have rated it a 5/5 if you could stream updates live during severe weather outbreaks.

Terrible. Don't get this app. I hate the new update. I can't get used to it at all and it's very difficult to use. The old version was much better.

Hate the new update!. I have been a follower of the 14 app for a long time! I am not, however, on Facebook nor do I plan to be. The purpose of the app is to keep us posted with live coverage but NOW we have to have FB to see Jeff Lyons do his live updates. Not everyone lives on social media. Please fix this as I would like to know what's going on when I am away from home.

WiFi required??. Not much use to me if it only works when WiFi is available.

I love this app! So funny. I've had this app for some time now and I quite enjoy it. I like that it sends me notifications for weather updates and it prepares me for what to expect in the morning and night. I especially love the short videos posted giving a brief rundown of weather conditions. The video plays in a school bus for the bus stop forecast, on a TV screen with kittens watching if you should bring your pets in, and most recently from the bell of a tuba along with the temps being displayed on a music staff for the marching band forecast. So silly! I did just update it, though, so things are a bit different than what I'm used to, but it's still a great app.

Horrible update!. I can't understand why you would want to take a perfectly good, user friendly app and totally change it. I've had it for a couple days and there is nothing I like about it. I'm switching back to our other local stations weather app.

Best weather app!!. Has the best live radar with wind directions, hail, and tornadic symbols. Just AWESOME!!

Slow and sloppy. I love 14 news. But this new update feels like a sloppy copy of the weather channel app. And it doesn't even show the percent chance of ran for the day until you pull that exact day up. Not a fan of this app

Latest update crashes. App crashed on newest iOS when watching radar during latest storm.

Used to work well.... Since the latest update will not load at all iOS 13.3.

Used to be good, but now...... A recent update added a five or six second commercial whenever you open the app. And then you get the message to Retry- make sure you're connected or not in airplane mode, blah blah blah. And the app won't open at all. Well, the commercial opens up. So you've got enough connection to view the commercial, just not to actually use the app.

Why change it?. The previous app was wonderful and I recommended it to everyone. However, the new format is very generic and cheap. I have deleted it and gone with another local weather app. Please change it back!

Good but panels are frustrating. I have set the map as my default panel and just about every time I load the app the Headlines panel comes up as my default. Then I have to swipe through 4 or 5 panels to get to the map. I think your map is better than the Weather Channel app, but the panels are an absolute pain. I would give it 5 stars if the default panels starts working again or make the app like it was before you put in the panels.

Updated map time. Why does it take 9-10 minutes to update the weather map?? That's entirely to long. It was at every 5 min & that was long enough but now......please fix this!!!! It's concerning when sever weather is happening & I can't get an updated view of the map. Safety first correct?!?

Not a fan and I'm getting rid of it. The new updates are terrible. Last version graphics and interface were cleaner, clearer and actually legible.
