80% of the time it’s “unknown”. I take clear pictures and try every to make it easier to identify but it never gives me accurate results.

Not a good app. I looked up a species of caterpillars that I can’t find any information on and I came to this app took a picture of the caterpillar and it said it’s a honey bee?? The caterpillar is a moth one and has orange hair and four abdominal fleshy legs with neon yellow spots on its back does anybody know what it is because this app didn’t.

Butterfly identifier. This app helps identify butterflies. I tried to check out a few. It’s not able to id all my butterflies, yet it did accurately ID most.

Insect App. Not sure how accurate, it would be nice to be 100% accurate at identifying insects

Didn’t work. Took pictures of insect kept getting a message stating unknown please try another picture

Insect app (iPhone). I got the app for my son and I to in joy looking I hopcollecting bugs but I gave it the benefit of the doubt to work but when take pic with the app it doesn’t read it and it give you an option to get the picture and at it does reed it and then at times it doesn’t. I hope the app owner’s can fix this. I guess I’m going to continue to use google.

Bad.. They didn’t even let me try the app first. I opened the app only to immediately be bombarded with a subscription fee, feels really scammy so don’t do it. You’ll probably get your card stolen and money wasted. Not worth it.

Not user friendly. The identification section is not bad. Unfortunately this app doesn’t offer any way to get into your account to update information or cancel app. Their menu only offers History, rate and share options. Not cool! I’m canceling my free trial as soon as I can figure out how to do this!

APIs Mellifera???. Has no look alike to a bee. More like a giraffe mosquito on steroids. Very long neck with log feelers from head. Long and large wings 2/3rd of body length. The side shot you could recognize.

Disappointed. Submitted a picture and it did not come back with correct assess. Took pictures and it could not find matching name. Very bad app.

This app misidentified a wolf spider for a Honey bee…!. A simple internet search would have served us better. My 4 year old proclaimed that this app needs to go to school.

Bug identification. So I have this very large bug. Took several pics of it but still cannot get a clear identification. The app is no good to me . However, navigation to cancel subscription is useless.

Terrible. Can’t identify anything it’s like I have to take a professional up close photo of the bug I’d be dead if i tried it with a bug I didn’t know was poisonous I hate you and your crappy app

Not working-Please Cancel my subscription. I’ve submitted several photos of a bug and it keeps telling me that it’s “entity“ and then tells me it has 132% accuracy with that photo. What does that even mean? When I click on the option that says “not correct“ it asks me to identify what type of mushroom this bug is. I have uploaded it numerous times with different angles of the same bug and it keeps naming it “entity“. On top of that I upgraded this app and I’m trying to cancel it and I’m finding absolutely no way to cancel this app. I need you to cancel my subscription immediately. The link takes me to some math page.

Hasn’t identified any bugs yet. I was charged for this app and they skipped my 3 day free trial. I would never had paid for it, it has failed to identify any insects thus far.

Terrible app. I have these bugs that I wanted to identify and I installed the premium version and they can’t identify- lame

Horrible. No zoom. Picture is super blurry or too tiny unless you get close enough to the insect to smell its breath. Don’t waste your time.

ID a bug. I’ve taken 15 pictures of the bug I’ve found and have yet to get any answer

Not accurate. I submitted a photo of an insect I found in my home. The app identified it as a type of cricket that looked nothing like the photo I took. I checked the different life stages of the cricket and none looked even close to the photo I took.

Poor identification. I tried a 3 day trial and this app was 50/50 with identifying insects. Some were way off!! As this is a subscription service one would expect it to function properly!! Don’t waste your money. Better free apps available.

Instant gratification. I just downloaded this app and so far it is batting 100. A great resource for those hard to identify creepy crawlies.

Must be doing it wrong. I use several ID apps successfully but not this one. Have yet to receive a successful ID. Maybe need to dispatch them and pin them down. Not very impressed.

Unidentified Spider. The only reason I downloaded this App was to infinity what kind of spider I have on the exterior of my house. There were 76 of them at the time I took the picture and the App could not identify it. The picture could not have been more clear.

Couldn’t identify small beetle. The camera seems to only be able to pick larger insects up. If you’re trying to identify something like a small beetle, you won’t be able to. There’s also no info about the app to review while your in the app.

Didn’t work at all. Wouldn’t register anything I tried to photograph and wouldn’t do anything when I tried to select a better photo from my phone. A waste of 3 dollars, cancelled immediately

Not working. Took a clear spider picture on white background and tells me it’s a tiger mosquito. When I try to click on the correction link where it says to input what the correct insect it - the keyboard pops up, and after I’m done typing I can’t get the keyboard to go back down /away so I can press the submit button that’s behind the keyboard.

Worthless app!. You take a picture and it tries to get you to pay for it. When you say continue with limited version it does nothing but takes you back to take a picture again.

Couldn’t identify anything. I tried to identify a spider. I took several pictures of it and all I got wad can not identify try again. So, I went to there website and screenshot a picture of a spider (you would think it could identify at least that much.) I still received the same message. I did this with several different species of spiders, also other insects. Could not identify any of them. It is a great concept but, it just didn’t work for me. Thanks anyway!

Always says “unknown”. I got this app because I wanted to identify this one bug that I have never seen before and it just doesn’t work. Always saying that you should get premium and that stuff too. This app aggravates me so much. Not worth it. Don’t get.

I rate this app a ZERO. After taking picture after picture after I ended up taking 15 pictures and no results found 0% cancel my membership no results 15 times I rate this app a ZERO CANCEL MY FREE TRIAL CANDIS ARNOLD

Awful. It can’t even recognize the difference between a spider and a beetle or bee. I did better by googling spiders and looked for the one I had a picture of.

You don’t know a spider from a mushroom. Sorry, I aM not even sure that you have an arachnid data base. But if you do you were way off call a North American Wolf Spider a mushroom.

Access to CANCEL. I loaded the app on my phone. I chose a photo of an insect from my album. The app did not recognize the bug. I have no more interest in adding insect pictures. And the page will not come up to cancel the monthly charge. The page to choose a photo just keeps coming back. Somebody fix this please

Misidentifies if it identifies at all. Also, cannot submit a correction since the app will not allow the keyboard to go off screen once it pops up. Ugh. Try again!

Harrumph. One and only bug I tried to identify, not known. Can’t find a way to add ID info I found another way. Will be deleting app after I figure out how to cancel free trial…

Unknown beetle type. I took a lot of pictures of a small insect, possibly a beetle variety. The app could nit identity it. Not good. Not good at all. I will have to cancel this App because it obviously doesn’t have the ability for what I need it for. Steven L Leyba

This app can’t identify a spider.. This app could not identify the type of spider that I took a photo of multiple times. It first identified the spider as a beetle and then it said it was a bee and then it said it could not identify it. This app is horrible!

Only 2000 insects is a good start. My first 2 pictures of bugs were unrecognized. Will cancel for now and try again later when the app’s data base is more bio-robust. I’d be happy to help build and calibrate the database but I’m not an entomologist nor do I have $12/month to spare, even though it could be a very important cause towards “restoring the little things that run the world”

Didn't work at all!!. Loaded the app and took a photo of what appears to possibly be a winged ant. The app identified it, or rather mis-identified (!) it as an African mosquito known for it's white stripes. Absolutely no white stripes and definitely NOT a mosquito! Cancelled the app subscription within minutes of downloading it. Wondering if it might be a scam?!

Unclear how to cancel subscription. The app forces you to pay for a subscription to use it, but doesn’t make clear how to cancel that subscription

Not accurate. Took a photo of a Spotted Lanternfly which has become a huge problem in my area. The app identified it as another type of moth common in North and Central America, when it is actually an invasive species from Asia. So it does try to identify bugs, it just doesn’t do it well.

Not identified. I took a nice clear photo of a spider in my backyard in Spanish Fort Al and the app said not identifiable. This is the first time I’ve used this app and this is it’s answer . Not paying $29 for that .

Didn’t work for me. Some kind of flying insect has gotten into my house - it’s scary looking and has stung or bitten me and my roommate. I was able to catch one and take a clear picture, but after several trys I gave up because the app was unable to identify it.

Barely Functional. So many programming bugs makes it unusable. Was not able to correctly identify a known picture of a black tick.

App is garbage…. It can not identify anything; I have better luck with a (free) google image search. Wish I did not waste my money on a subscription for this.

Nope!. Makes it seem like you have to purchase it (at $6.49 per*WEEK*). Eventually a little pink “skip” appears at the top right and you can use it to try the free version. I hate it when apps try to trick us like this, it’s disappointing. Also, this app never managed to id an insect for me. Despite my clear & detailed photos it always said it needed a new photo. I think this might have been because it couldn’t identify the insects. Save your time and try another!

Not bad.. The picture has to be really clear and at the right angle in order to work.

Bug identification. I gave a good clear photo and it just came back unknown 🤷🏼‍♀️what good is that! Scam to get you to buy up! And what happened to FREE! I would give it a lower rating if I could but noticed you can only choose the level they want so it looks good to draw people in 😡

disappointed. i found a moth friend and i wanted to find out exactly what type of moth it was, yet the app couldn't even tell me what kind of bug it was. all i got was a "78% entity" :(

So far has not recognized one bug!. Just subscribe to this app. Took two pictures of bugs in my garden, both of which I believe I know what they are. And both came up unknown. I took several pictures. Nothing worked.
