My new favorite for winds!. Living in a place visited by tropical storms and hurricanes, frequent thunderstorms 9 out of 12 months, and a need to know whether the wind is coming to or from the ocean even during good weather makes this app a must!

Very handy. For a quick search this is a great app

New update helps a lot!. They added a location button which is a game changer for this app. Definitely worth checking out

Favorite weather app. Out of all the weather apps put there, this one is most accurate I have ever used! I can plan with certainty trips and adventures. This app is simply awesome!

Great app 5/5/21. I am a weather nerd. I am a former sailor and I find the data to be accurate (even though I am land locked now). Lots of data packed into the app and easy to navigate. I use it now for days I want to fish. Also great when you live in a “fringe area” not really covered by your nearest local weather forecast !

Big Rigs Need to Know. This is an excellent way to know the strength and direction of the wind in a particular place. It’s good to know what you’re facing when you have a high-profile vehicle.

Takes forever. It takes a longtime for the app to come up when you move cursor it has to reacquire data , slow would be nice to have wind motion to guide not just directional

As good as it gets. Forget about wind, this kid one of my favorite weather apps.

Easy to use. I down loaded the app and with min. I was getting used to it. It’s seems to be a easy app to use. I need it for wine directions and speeds.

Tennis Coach. Invaluable tool for predicting wind during matches. Nothing like it that I’ve found. General weather apps just not as detailed.

Great app. This app cuts through useless information and gets you directly to the information you need when going offshore! I would highly recommend it.

Great job with this app!. Awesome ! This app is very accurate and easy to use. Lots of information on everywhere I go whether it’s in the mountains or on the ocean. I rely on it for a good idea what to expect while I’m out in the elements. Makes planning my day easier and I’m always ready for whatever is forecasted. Really impressed on the accuracy of the forecasts .

Finally. I've been downloading and then canceling a number of wind ups so far looking for a decent one. Finally found it.

Wind and weather forecast. I just got this APP. So far I am very pleased with the forecasts especially the wind since I live in a windy area. Will update my review again later

By far, the best wind app, but missing one thing…. I love this app. If you need to know the hourly forecast for a location, this is amazing. This update adds exactly what we need, widgets! However, it doesn’t show what we need. I want to be able to see the hourly forecast for a certain location on the map. It already allows me to save a location, we just want to see the hourly forecast itself on a widget. Please please please consider this!

Wind....look no further. Great app for its intended purpose and that is to zero in on wind direction and intensity. Would get five stars if there was a “locate me” button to click for quick pinpointing of where you are when maybe you are hunting, etc and don’t know exactly where you are or you don’t want to have to open a gps or maps app to do so and then come back to this app. (Edited review....now 5 stars)

Great app. This app has pinpoint accuracy with easy to read graphs. Finally something that can give me an idea of what will happen right at my doorstep.

Very accurate. Very good and accurate app. For the hourly, one issue is that when I scroll to the right, the titles in the left scroll off the screen and it becomes hard to remember which one was which I.e. which one was wind, which one was wind gusts, which one was humidity etc. Would be helpful if the titles could stay on the screen as one scrolls right or down.

Great app for winds and rain. I have tried several apps for wind speed and direction but this is the easiest one to use and read. I often go kayak fishing in W Galveston bay and I always check this app before leaving the house. The hourly forecast is so nice and easy to read.

Great weather app for anyone on the water!. Current and complete data for the water ways for boaters, paddle boarding and swimmers!

Pretty Amazing. This app provides a mind boggling, and yet incredibly useful, amount of information. Makes most typical weather apps feel like they are in kindergarten.

Love this app. I use Wind Speed to look up conditions on the SF Bay and elsewhere before rowing practices and regattas. It’s clear, easy to use, with fine-grained, pastel, color-coded hourly and daily wind speed and direction forecasts. It’s aesthetically rich with a zoomable world map and satellite imagery showing water depths and topography, along useful additional weather data and summary forecasts. The app is a joy to use. Makes getting up at 5am a little easier , especially if you add coffee.

Love It!. I live on Cape Cod and the wind report is very important to me. This app provides that and more. I am also able to have limitless “favorite” settings showing the weather all over the states where my family and friends reside. Doesn’t seem as limited as some of the other weather apps.

Pinpoint Accuracy!. Enjoy the pinpoint accuracy of this app. For me it’s added piece of mind when monitoring weather conditions at home when my family is there and I’m at work.

Beware. I installed this app. Walked away. Came back unlocked my phone and I had an app called “Sasquatch” installed. I did not install that app. It is not in my list of apps I’ve purchased. I immediately deleted both. Install at your own risk.

Brilliant!. I use the app in the Midwest for windsurfing, I’m able to easily see wind direction and speeds for the full week, broken down by hour. Perfect for what I need.

Terrible and Useless!. Opens with a map of the US. You need to zoom in on the area you want wind speed for, then click “show nearby stations”, which does nothing! Just experimenting with it, then tells me I need a PRO subscription. Subscription for a tool (wind speed) most every all-in-one (some free) weather app gives us by default? Forget it! Absolutely the worst UI just to get wind speed in my area that I’ve ever seen!

Accurate wind forecasts. I downloaded this because I work in the wind power industry and rely heavily on accurate wind forecasts. While we have dedicated software for wind forecasts, it’s nice to have something on my phone that’s easy to pull out and look at. Really nice app. Side note, I reached out to the developer with a suggestion (to add m/s wind speed unit), and he promptly emailed me back to thank me for my input. Love seeing devs that interact with their users.

Exasperatingly slow with what is accessible.. Useless app with what comes with the free version. I am on 1 gig service using the 5th generation ipad and I could never get any of the layers to come in less than 60 minutes of time even using the hints provided within the app. Can’t get any other graphics other than provided with the map layers of which really isn’t of any use if you need updated weather in a timely manner. Waiting 60 seconds for radar is insane when you can get instant radar in an app called MY Radar with much better resolution and lightning data. Get an app called Windy for wind data, or weather bug for better graphics and better performance.

Very nice app. Live on a lake, use wind info for planning waterski trips (low/no wind = good), sailing trips (some wind = good). App is easy to use, gives me the info I can use.

Zoom. I wish this app had a zoom feature. I’m not talking about the maps, but the data parts. None of these apps have Zoom. Why? Us old people need zoom. It would help my work-related eye-stressed eyes. Maybe I should just stop using this iPhone so much too. I can’t help it, I’m addicted! I’m drowning in data! LOL? Almost Crap. Where are the wind speeds and directions on an hourly and weekly basis? The title does not match the presentation.

Useless. Unless you purchase the pro version you’ll get a lesser forecast than you can find anywhere.

Inaccurate wind forecast. I have been using this app for over two months and the wind prediction is seldom correct for my area. This apps wind speed prediction is usually not even close to the actual conditions.

Not accurate. This app was not accurate on Resurrection Bay Alaska.

Usage. I look at windy everyday. My wife and I are bringing our sailboat from st. Augustine to Rock Hall Md . It is the best app for determining current , and forecast winds . Keep up the great job. Jb

Self. I socialize and exercise outdoors more now because of COVID and it is very helpful to anticipate the wind.
