Hevy - Workout Tracker Gym Log Comments & Reviews 2026

So far… It Does What I Need It To Do. HEVY said I’m 25 workouts in and a review would be appreciated, so here I am. I was an old school pen and paper person because the phone was distracting, but now with these “do not disturb” options, an app to workout is the way to go. I like that I can see a chart that shows your progress from your past workouts. It also saves the last weight amount you’ve done on the previous exercise, like if I benched 100lbs for 10 reps a few days ago, I know I can aim for 11 the next session. You can add notes as well. Once you get your routine locked in, after about a week or 2, it’s pretty memorized anyhow. Then I stick with it for 2 months or so. The free version gives 4 workout plans, I think that’s great to get people trying the app and interested in its features. What the app can’t do is the actual fitness journey for you, so you need to stay consistent, if you do, then the premium version looks appealing. We’ll see how the app goes as I continue to use it and update the review accordingly.

Great workout app. Before this, my go-to was tracking my workouts on paper. I had tried a free workout tracking apps, but most require a monthly subscription after you use them enough. At the time of this writing, it was $80 one time for unlocking premium forever, which in turn will give me access to my workout history and metrics as long as the app exists. I do a lot of progressive overload weight training, Dance Dance Revolution, and East and West Coast Swing Dance/Lindy Hop. This app allows for the creation of custom exercises, so I’m able to track all of that. It’s also got Apple Watch integration as well as Apple fitness integration, which I’ve become addicted to. I kick myself when I forget to put my watch on when I go to the gym because the Apple Watch integration makes it incredibly easy to go through my custom workouts. The app is free with no ads, and what you get really feels kinda like Discord Nitro did in the early days (you get premium to support the developers, not because you get a lot of stuff from the app). I would have paid $200 or $300 one time for what I get out of HEVY.

All the features w/ ease of use!. I’ve tried all the workout apps, and this one by far has had the best support, with the most features, but is still simple to use. The Apple Watch integration updates simultaneously between the app and your watch in real time. Which makes it so much easier to record reps and sets. I didn’t think I would use the Apple Watch feature much but now I can’t imagine not using it. Using, or setting up your own, routines is so simple compared to other apps I’ve used. You can do it on your device, or on a desktop PC. I’ve done both and it’s equally as effective and easy. It does communicate and record to Apple Health and Fitness app, as long as you give it permission. This is where I have my only constructive feedback. If you pause your workout in the Hevy app (which is useful and frequently necessary) Apple’s Health app still thinks you’re working out and records workout minutes until you completely end your workout. Fix that and it’s the perfect app! (of course that could be an Apple ecosystem issue and have nothing to do with Hevy)

Great tracking app. If you already know what routines you want to do, this app is AMAZING!! It is a little light on premade routines but a little research will get you entering your own with ease. Definitely worth it to pay a couple bucks a month for unlimited routines that you can separate into folders to come back to later. Has a TON of exercises, love that it shows the how-to animation if you’re curious, although with many exercises having multiple names it can get tricky to find the exercise you’re looking for but the search function works GREAT. Super easy to add in your own exercise if you don’t find it as well. Tracking is easy, it took me a little to figure out some things (like changing reps to rep ranges) but it wasn’t bad enough to knock the app at all. I highly advise playing with the app a little to figure out what it is capable of before you get too far into setting up workouts and having to redo some like I did 😀

So much better than closing rings. For years I just relied on closing my rings on my Apple Watch for the tracking and motivation but I was totally missing the point of progressive overload. Then for a while I tracked everything on paper, that was a mess. At first when someone showed me this app I thought it felt like too much work, but really I was doing way more on paper. I have fallen in love with this app. It’s my partner in training. Honestly I’m still learning how to properly use all the features but I love the values of what my 1RP max should be and it pushes me to go up in weight . I love that exercises can be added as there so many variations of what people do, however my one suggestion would be to add more traditional exercises to the preset list because I like being able to see the form demo and muscle worked vs when you add your own … that’s my only wish list item otherwise this app is great and well worth it.

Excellent Workout Log and Tracker. This app has been exactly what I’m looking for. I have tried 5 different workout logging apps and none have them have fit the convenience and versatility that this app provides. Logging workouts is quick and easy especially if you add a routine, it will track your progress and let you know how much you lifted on your most recent attempt at that specific exercise. There is a huge library of exercises, more than I have seen from and other app. Many different variations wether your looking for dumbbells, barbells, machines, cables etc. If your big on tracking your progress, this app provides very easy to read graphs and stats and much more so you know where you stand day in and day out. The layout is smooth and not distracting, I personally enjoy black or dark colored backgrounds and layouts. The app has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Versatile with the ability to add friends and post, comment and “like” workouts, similar to social media but of course this is not necessary and you can simply use the app as a log, if that’s what you prefer. Very pleased with this app and would highly recommend.

Great free app, especially if you’re a blind or visually impaired individual!. Been using this app for about a month now. Tried many others. None come close to what you get for free with this app. I like that they don’t try to get micro transactions out of you every time you use it. Also, don’t bombard you with ads. But for me being a blind/visually impaired individual the best part is that it works flawlessly on my iOS device with accessibility and talk back. I love that I’ve been able to make changes to my workout schedule/plans without hesitation. All settings, and find details within the app or easy to be found using accessibility features. And the dark theme is extremely amazing as well. I’m going to keep using this app and most likely will upgrade it just because of the hard work these people are doing with this app obviously. My only criticism is that I wish every workout didn’t have to always be for everybody to view and you could just have one setting to set it for private all the time. If it exists, I have yet to find out how to set it that way. But great app overall.

Changing the way I work out. This app is everything I was missing in my fitness regiment. As someone who benefits a lot from keeping track of progress, but who can’t keep a journal for the life of me, this app has been a game changer. I can easily track every single detail of my workout : exercises, sets, reps. I start my workout and it keeps track of the time (and rest time if I want) for me! It even syncs to my Apple Watch to display and record data like my heart rate and my calories burned. I can upload pictures of my pumps, and record notes from each session. It also creates statistical graphs for me AND shows me how much work each muscle group has gotten over a workout or period of time. It’s so easy to use, and I LOVE watching myself make steady progress that I can actually quantify. Especially as I’m moving into a cut and want to see how my strength and physique are fluctuating. I mean, I couldn’t have asked for a better app. It’s everything. And this is all the free version. If you want to do things right, you’re doing yourself an honest disservice not downloading this app. I don’t even write reviews for apps, but I had to say something about this one. That’s how much I love it.

Excited about fitness again. I was recommended this app by a friend and have really enjoyed using it once I got to learn how to use it a bit better. I like that it has a ton of exercises and visuals on how to perform them, the option to select what muscle group you want to work on and their corresponding movements, and the option to add in your own movements/equipment needed if their list doesn’t provide it. Hevy tracks all my accomplishments, so I get enjoyment out of a breaking a new record. This app is wonderful at keeping track of all my progress and makes it easy to view. I also love being able to share progress pics with friends to keep me up to date with my fitness goals. And when I don’t know what to workout, Hevy has a pretty long list of premade workouts to choose from that are easy to follow along and challenging enough to keep engaged. I have recommended this app to multiple people since I started using it!

Best workout tracking app I’ve tried. This is by far my favorite workout tracking app, and I’ve tried quite a few over the past year including the popular Strong app. You can tell that the creators of this app actually work out themselves because they know how important it is to be able to label drop sets, failure sets, supersets, etc, which you can do very easily within the app. It allows me to track everything I need, and when if it’s been a while since I did an exercise I can easily take a look at my history, view graphs of my strength progression over time, and so on. I started out with the free version but have since upgraded to the Lifetime membership because I needed to create more than 5 custom exercises since I do quite a few unusual calisthenics things, but most gym-goers can probably stick with the free version and have everything they need. The social feature - being able to follow other members - is also nice. That said, I wish there was a way to upload short video clips of workout sets so that there would be some somewhat verifiable proof of what people are lifting, rather than just having to blindly accept the weight people enter into the app as being true. But, this isn’t that important. The important thing for me is that this app allows me to easily track every aspect of my workout so that I can see my progression and know where I’m at.

The best workout app. I have been using Hevy for a few months now and I am very impressed with how it helps me plan, track, and improve my workouts. Hevy is a simple and intuitive app that lets me create custom routines, log my sets and reps, and view my progress over time. Hevy also syncs with my Apple Watch and Health app, so I can monitor my heart rate, calories, and other metrics during and after my workouts. One of the best features of Hevy is the social aspect. I can follow other users, see their workouts, and give them feedback and encouragement. I can also join challenges, compete with others, and earn badges and trophies. Hevy keeps me motivated and accountable, and makes working out more fun and rewarding. Hevy is not just an app, it is a community of fitness enthusiasts who support each other and share their goals and achievements. Hevy is the best app for anyone who wants to take their fitness to the next level. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a smart and easy way to track their workouts and stay motivated.

Super Useful and Intuitive!. I probably qualify as an intermediate lifter, but I’m trying to up my game. To that end, I wanted to find a way to more reliably track my activities than a spreadsheet I update sporadically. This app has been amazing in doing just that. It’s super intuitive. The workouts are easy to locate and routines are easy to make as you work through the gym. I also love how it shows the weight and reps from the prior time you used the machine — this makes progressive overload so much easier by putting a “goal” right in front of you each time you step up to a machine! For things you do a lot, like bench or squat, or maybe a machine you love like the peck dec, this feature rules. The medals for PR on a lift are a fun way to gamify the app, and I love the Strava integration, so I can get a whopping three kudos from cyclists who have no concept of how amazing my new PRs really are. In all seriousness though, this is a great app that anyone looking to track their progress in the gym should have.

Pro Version is Nearly Perfect. This app really motivates me to keep up with my progression. It’s easy, intuitive, and has almost any feature you could possibly want if you pay for the pro version. I personally like the ability to track RPE. I also like that it shows you your volume from the previous week when you start your workout, making it easy to adjust numbers for the current week. The free version was fine as well, but I have been using this app for months and it was clear the investment for extra features was worth it. They have a feedback feature in the app—I’ve used it a couple times and always got a response, even when the “feedback” I gave ended up being that I just didn’t realize how to use something. I don’t really care for the social media aspect. The only way I would maybe use it in the future is if there was a way to “compete” with a friend, similar to modern smartwatch interfaces. But I could take or leave that whole portion of the app. However, it doesn’t detract from my experience so I still rate the app 5 stars.

Don’t waste your money on a yearly subscription. I originally purchased the yearly subscription just to make sure I liked the app as I had fallen off my fitness journey while I was busy with school. I was hoping to save a few pennies and not purchase something to motivate me that ultimately was a waste. Well after finally getting back into the swing of things, it didn’t take long for me to realize I had wasted some of my money and should have just paid the flat price for the app. It’s an amazing app and I’m still finding out all the stuff it can do for me. I wish I had this app when I did bodybuilding a few years ago instead of my pen and paper. I can see what muscle groups I’m lacking in volume and being able to create my routines to save them for future reference without losing paper is my favorite. I don’t have to remember what weight I should start at for my next visit as I can see my history for every movement. It’s truly an incredible app so don’t waste your money on the monthly or yearly subscription, just buy the whole thing.

LOVE HEVY!. My daughter introduced us to HEVY in 2023. My whole family uses this app! In 2024 my husband and I started using this app religiously. I ended the year with a 50 week streak with 151 weight lifting workouts. My husband is 71 and I will be 70 in March 2025. We love the HEVY app! It helps motivate us by providing an easy way to record each workout, gives us a great running total of pounds lifted during each workout and a fun reward at the end of each workout showing a picture of an equivalent of how much we lifted during the workout - a bus, truck, a yacht, etc. we love the adorable t-Rex. We also love the ability to share our workouts with others. My husband suffered a stroke in May of 2023. He shares access to his workout with his physical therapist. He writes comments after each workout that his therapist reads. The PT has had suggested tweaks to our workout and we have added 2 exercises based on her recommendations. The PT said that she wished more of her patients used HEVY and recommends HEVY to her other patients and PTs. This year has been amazing. I have lifted over 2.9 million pounds (or 8 large airplanes) and my husband has lifted over 2.2 million pounds. We have not only increased our strength but also have improved body composition, agility and balance. Not to mention helping to protecting my bone density! We are often the oldest people in the gym! HEVY is helping us reach our health and fitness goals! We recommend it to everyone! We LOVE HEVY!

Best workout app imaginable. Words can’t describe how much I love this app. For several years I used BodySpace religiously and loved it but in 2022 it kept crashing and it was clear they weren’t upkeeping it much anymore. I did some trials with a few other workout tracking apps and decided to stick with this one. I bought the lifetime membership (PLEASE don’t ever remove this option, its value is unbelievable). I track every lift meticulously and always have, and this app makes that effortless and intuitive. The graphs to track different kinds of progress are incredible for my fitness journey. I honestly can’t even think of a suggestion to improve it (and as much as I loved BodySpace, there was quite a few things I felt could be improved but they never did). I’m now working on retroactively adding all my workouts from BodySpace into Hevy (over 800 workouts so this will take a long time) - which made me realize I do have one suggestion! When editing the date when a workout took place, I really wish there was a dropdown to select the year. Right now I have to scroll back until the year I need (I’m adding 2016 workouts right now and that scroll takes quite a while). Huge props to everyone who develops this app. Lifting is a huge part of my life and having something as reliable and perfect as Hevy is an absolute game changer. I look forward to using it for the decades to come.

This app is amazing!. I’m honestly surprised that it is free. There is a paid subscription option, but from my knowledge, it doesn’t even effect the app unless you have been using it for more than 3 months. Even then, the subscription isn’t necessary, and you can still do everything the same as before. This app helps with fitness in many ways. Consistency: You can log and see all of your previous workouts, making you want to keep going. It also keeps a weekly streak, which is also motivating. Beginner Friendly: There are loads of workouts that you can choose to do through the app, including body weight, weightlifting, and machine exercises. Track Progress: You can track which muscle groups you are training, your body weight, and how long you are working out per week. I really have no complaints with this app, it is the best workout app I’ve ever used. The only thing that comes to mind when I’m thinking about what I want to do with the app is I want to buy the lifetime feature instead of just having a subscription. The lifetime purchase I believe is 75 dollars, which I’m just not sure if I want to spend on the app. Currently I’ve been using the app 3-4 days a week for the past 5-6 weeks and I really do enjoy the app. I’ve even recommended it to my friends and they have started using it as well. I just want to thank the developers for such an amazing app for exercising!

Incredible free app. The free version of this app is incredibly functional. It’s helped me start a new workout habit after years of nothing. It lets me track progress and make my own workouts and even routines with ease. I haven’t bought the full app yet, so I don’t know what’s behind the paywall yet. I compared against the other leader Strong and ended up with Hevy because it just seems a little nicer and easier with more features in the free version. I used to use FitBod and have really been happy with the transition to Hevy. One feature request I have (in my own journey to become a well rounded athlete) is to add more data fields in cardio workouts, where the app currently is limited to just distance and time. For example on cycling, I’d like to be able to track calories, power output, speed, heart rate, cadence and even resistance for an indoor bike. Similar capabilities would be useful for rowing, running, swimming, etc. If the developers would be able to put some thought into tracking those sorts of workouts as well I think it would push this app over the top.

My most used workout app.. I have absolutely no complaints, nothing but a suggestion here to be honest. Super sets are loggable, warm ups, everything. Makes it easy to learn the correct form, with videos and images for a few, but very few to show you the correct form, and even instructions. The app is clean and a nice UI, I love it. I got sick of the only 3 routines though and caved in and bought premium, but it was worth it. A year for less then 30$? not complaining. I now have like 30 different routines I swear. But I change around a lot. Iv messed with tons of different splits. My only suggestion, but i’m in no way complaining. A way to log drop sets; something simple like a way to select one set as a dropset, and maybe in a dropdown off of it add 3 more sets or 2, however many and you can add or remove. I think it would be a little easier to log, but i’m not sure, but some way to log the drop sets or even indicate those sets are dropsets would be absolutely amazing. Anyway, no complaints on this app, iv tried tons of apps and this is by far my favorite. If I could give it more than just 5 stars, I would. Keep it up!

Awesome tracking app!. This id a phenomenal workout tracker. There are, of course, features and changes I would like to see but development is very active so I’m sure I will see them added eventually. Overall, it offers most features I would like. If I were to ask for one feature, it would be the ability to program progressive overload automatically. Otherwise it does what I need! The most unexpected feature that makes this app phenomenal is the social component. That was definitely not something I was looking for, but it has turned out to be my favorite part. You can follow people and post your workouts. The people that use the social component are some of the most supportive people I have ever interacted with. I have never seen one negative comment which is refreshing give the state of fitness content on other apps. I am legitimately making friends through the app, which is not something I knew I wanted. Don’t underestimate the social component of this app! The community truly sets it apart from other options.

Progressive Overload Tracker. I’m incredibly impressed with Hevy. This app helped me elevate my lifts to the next level. After two years of consistently lifting, I started to see plateaus in my strength and hypertrophy - and the main culprit was a lack of consistent progressive overload. I’ve tried Excel spreadsheets and notebooks to track my workouts, but neither solution compared to the ease of use that Hevy offers. Now I can track my workouts consistently and update/create routines for my PPL splits (and variations of them). My favorite features are the “medal system” that lets me know when new goals are hit and the massive database of exercises to program into my routines. I also appreciate the statistical insights to my weekly volume/reps. This helped me recognize the disparity in volume between my push and pull muscle groups, and I’ve experienced and all-around improvement in my progress after just one month of using Hevy. If you’re like me, you probably have been tracking your calories and macros for a while now (with MacroFactor). Now tracking your workouts just as dutifully has never been so easy. Thank you, Hevy!!

Love the app!. This is my first time really taking the gym serious. I liked this app because it gave me ideas of workout routines depending on what I was trying to accomplish and the tracking of it is phenomenal! I never have to forget the weights I’ve done previously or the reps! It has a social aspect to it but I don’t use that. Only improvement I see there to be is to just have more routines available to pick from or to be able to search for them. As of now, you can pick one from the few they have and tailor it to your liking by adding or removing certain exercises and replacing others. I did buy the paid version to add more than 3 routines, definitely worth the investment if you plan to utilize the app for its benefits. I now have my own dumbbell only workouts, plates only workouts and different workout combinations. I’ve also added in my own exercises that the app didn’t have and have been able to track those too. Overall: get the app if you want to seriously track your progress.

Kept Me Accountable. I have been using this app since January. I saw people on Reddit saying it was good and they had a promotion for like half off a year subscription. So I took the plunge. I love it. It’s the thing that had kept me in the gym this year because it helps me see results. I love how it syncs with my watch and I can input the weight and reps on my watch or phone. I appreciate that it supplies workouts for different splits so I don’t need to pay for a trainer. I love how it holds the last rep and weight from the previous time I did the exercise so I can work towards improving weight or reps. I love how it tracks my workouts and all the data it supplies. I am obsessed that it will track your rest time when you complete a set and play a tone to tell you rest is over. It will also play this tone over the music or as a buzz on your Apple Watch to do another set. (There are times it doesn’t work but mostly it does). It also provide nice visual tutorials of doing the exercise with some copy as well. I do wish it walked me though how to measure myself better but that’s a VERY small negative to truly nothing but positives I have. I also don’t use the social piece too much but I have taken some other people’s workouts just to switch it up every once and a while. I will be renewing next year 100%

Great App- 4 stars bc of preference. This is a fantastic app! Hands down! I like tracking workouts and seeing my improvements. Only gave it 4 stars because I’d like to see courses/classes added. I was using Ladder and I like how the coaches trained by form and technique, teaching how to know when to go up or down weight and where to focus your attention from breath to joints to certain muscle groups to prevent injury. My ladder coach is gone now so I decided to try something different for a change. I took what I’ve learned and I’ve applied it my workouts but personally I like to hear my coach motivating me tea hi g me when to push and when to slow down. HOWEVER! Now that I’m working out with hubs, he’s helping me with form and motivation so tracking with Hevy has been incredible! We both track and follow each other and share new routines, etc. we look at each other’s previous workouts and help each other get 1% better by increasing weight or adding a rep, etc. For how I’m using it, I want to give it 5 stars, and I may still come back and re-review. But for now, 4-stars bc while it shows how to do a workout, I’d like to see routines focused on certain muscle groups, and more information about form. ALSO- I researched routines for certain muscle groups like booty gains, etc, and created my own routine, but it took more time than I’d like.

Gives me confidence in the gym. I’m new to lifting and I did a lot of research before I started. I knew about progressive overload and the major muscle groups but I still had intense anxiety about actually going to the gym and trying new exercises for the first time even if they were basic. My mind would just go blank and I’d retreat to some cardio machine and leave. This app helped me so much in building a routine, tracking my progress, remembering what to do next, and the “how to” tab is right there so I can quickly reference an exercise if I need to. It’s also easy to edit a workout on the fly if you want to swap something. OH, and one of my favorite parts is following other people. I’m a mid 20s woman, like I said no real experience lifting before about 5 months ago. It has been really inspiring to follow others and I love seeing more experienced female lifters’ routines. It makes me feel like I can really do this!! Easy 5 stars, I literally never workout without this app

Best tracking app for weightlifting/exercise. I searched for a while for an app that meets all of my needs in one place. It’s this. You can track every exercise you do, there is a library full of exercises to choose from. The library is awesome, each exercise has what muscle is being worked and how to execute the exercise. The tracking is awesome, when you go to the next week’s exercise, it will show you what you did last so you don’t lose track. Your notes for each exercise carry over too. It tracks your improvement over time, even the new goals you reach, and how much volume lifted for that day. You have a calendar to see what days and when you’ve exercised. There’s a small social media platform built into it to follow other people for inspiration or for them to follow you and make friends to cheer each other on. You can even log other types of exercises. You can track your weight and measurements to see your progress and post pictures as you evolve. Overall, it’s perfect. Don’t change a thing! Thanks to the creators of this for making such a user-friendly, comprehensive, and awesome app!

Best app for tracking workouts so far. When I started working out. I use to not log any of my workouts, then as I was getting frustrated with my progress one of my gym brethren told me I need to be logging all my workouts and trying to get better everyday. That’s when I found… the notes app. It was a grueling process and it became a jumble of numbers and abbreviations that only me and me alone could read. I knew I needed a change, that’s when I found… a bunch of useless apps that made me pay 25$ a month just to put in more than one workout routine. Then finally I found Hevy. After opening the app for the first time I knew I found a winner. I could have up to 3 routines which was perfect for the program I was running. Then I found out that it tracks my progress and my stats for me (which brought me more joy than my pump that day). It had rest timers, barbell calculations, as many reps and sets as you could want, super sets, drop sets, basically everything. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star is because I need to pay 80 dollars for the full version. It would be a 5 star for me if they even brought the price down to $35. Other than the paywall this has been an amazing app.

Great for beginners!. I love using Hevy! As a beginner in the gym, Hevy has been a big help in not only tracking my progress, but learning about machines and technique. You can search for the exercise you want to do and it will also give you information on how to do it and has a little gif of a person performing it and showing what muscles it works. Being able to check how to do something when I’m in the middle of a workout without having to search online has made me more confident using different machines at the gym. My favorite part of the app is actually that at the end of your workout, the app gives you a little slideshow of the main muscles you hit, your highest weights and personal records broken, and (the best part) says whether you lifted the total weight equivalent to things like a truck, helicopter, or elephant! It’s fun to unlock a new big item you lifted the equivalent of and it makes me feel accomplished, which gives me encouragement to keep going to the gym. Cannot recommend enough!

Thanks to this app I have gone from a beginner to a novice!. I have tracked 50 workouts with this app over the last several months. There are so many benefits to using this app. Every gym day I start an empty routine and then add each workout as I go along. I love that I can look through the catalog and be reminded of what workouts are available for each muscle group and each equipment catalog. Without this app I would not be able to keep track of what workouts I can do. I love that it keeps track of my previous records and devises a method of recommending me workouts based on previous workouts. I will continue to use this app. If I have one recommendation for the developers, it would be to add even more workouts. There are a ton already in here, but there are few that I don’t find in the catalog that could be easily added. I am thankful that their is a feature to add custom workouts for record but still. The more workouts the more I expand my workout diversity!

Best Workout App. Pros: • Has almost every exercise you can think of and always adding more. • Search for an exercise by movement type, muscle group, or nickname. • “How To” section has step-by-step instructions with nice animations. • Intuitive logging experience. Quickly edit and build your workout on-the-fly, or create a workout plan ahead of time (or copy one from someone else’s profile). • Browse progress history for any exercise. View max weight, volume, and reps. Very rewarding to see graphs go up overtime. • Workout summaries are fun to share and have nice designs. • Social functionalities with a great community. See what others are doing, compare PR’s, take inspiration. • Premium version is cheap, often goes on sale, and doesn’t take away much from the app at all. • Compatible with many services / smart devices. Cons: • Free version locks progress history beyond a certain time period (3 months, I think). The data is still there, but you can’t see progress beyond then. • Free version restricts some body measurements like bicep circumference. Thankfully, body weight tracking is still available in the free version. • Like any method of logging, it can be distracting. • Not every exercise has animated videos in the “How To” section, which can be more helpful than the written instructions as some instructions aren’t very clear. I have not been paid to write this review and have no affiliation, I simply love the app.

Best Workout All. Best Workout App I’ve Ever Used Hands Down! I’ve been working out at home for a while now, and I’ve tried so many fitness apps – both free and paid ones. Honestly, Hevy is the absolute best, and I’m so glad I found it! The free version alone blows other paid apps out of the water, but I ended up paying for it anyway just to support the team because they totally deserve it. What I love most is how simple and easy it is to use. The interface is super clean, and I can log my workouts in seconds without any hassle. It’s perfect for my home gym setup – no complicated menus or annoying ads to deal with. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to see my previous sets, weights, and reps. I can just pull up my history and know exactly what I did last time, which helps me keep progressing without having to dig through notes or guess. It’s all right there, clear as day. I’ve hit 25 workouts with Hevy now, and I’m hooked. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable app to track your workouts, this is the one. Keep up the amazing work, Hevy team!

Best weight training app out there. I was using Gymverse and it was fine to start with but there were a few things that ultimately led me to looking for another app. I downloaded and played around with about 5 weight lifting tracking apps and I was looking specifically for these features: 1. Data sync between iPhone and iPad 2. Ease of use 3. Affordability Hevy checked all the boxes and offers much more than I will probably ever use. It’s great being able to make updates to workouts and track progress while having access on iPhone and iPad. The app is very intuitive with a large amount of pre-made workouts that fit the equipment in my home gym with just a few so far that I’ll be adding in. You don’t have to pay for a plan if you’re not concerned about long term exercise history being available or don’t plan on creating more than 4 workout plans, but I liked the functionality, customization, and data availability provided with Hevy so much that I ended up paying the 1 time lifetime fee of less than $80! Most, if not all of the other apps I considered were charging about $75-$100 for annual subscriptions. No regrets after choosing this app, just wish I had a better idea of what I really wanted from a workout/weight training app before paying for a subscription through Gymverse a few months ago.

Enough to be great. I came from using Fitbod for 3 years. Hevy offers everything I needed that Fitbod wouldn’t fix. Hevy has enough to be great, track everything, and be part of a community. Or choose to just make and log workouts. You can do as much or as little as you want. Tracking the muscles, reps, and sets that you do of each muscle is another layer of the onion to peel back in working out efficiently. Making your own exercise is an option if there is not a choice already. I have heard they are very responsive in upgrading and updating their app. Though I haven’t experienced this yet I would say the app is up to date on all the things I really needed to better my workout experience. Therefore they must be keeping up to date. Overall, the choice to pick a fitness app is hard enough. I was in between 3 others and also just going back to forbid. What Hevy had that everyone else did not was an easy to use routine building section. It wasn’t to hard to understand or too flashy. It provides the correct amount of detail for my brain to comprehend it. At the end of the day I recommend it but if you’re having trouble picking one and you’ve made it to this part of my review I recommend just ennieing meenieing minning and moeing and picking a tiger by the toe, because you’re probably desperate..

Fantastically pragmatic and too easy to use!. I was a personal trainer before, and utilized small workout-tracking notebooks. I loved the functionality of them, but it was inconvenient to carry around a small booklet and a pen to every machine. Additionally, it was a hassle to search back previous pages to find things. This app makes it so much easier: you simply plug in the numbers and play. On your next workout, it shows you in phantom figures what your last sets and reps looked like and with how much weight. The exercise catalog is nearly comprehensive, but the custom feature allows you to punch in new exercises or simply put a new variation of a machine that’s not already listed. I love being able to borrow routines that other users have saved when I want to change things up. Overall user experience is great. And I see new features or tweaks periodically, which is encouraging. Highly recommended to almost everyone I ever work out with.

Almost perfect by missing a major one. I have been jumping around using different apps for the last 5 years since I started doing workouts in my late 40’s. As a busy business professional with a family, my goal is to keep myself healthy and hope to live a longer quality life. Hevy has a great simple UI and available at various Apple devices including Apple Watch complications. It is better than other alternatives and definitely a plus. Yet it is not that far ahead. I expect others could easily catch up or even run ahead. As many fitness YouTubers started to emphasize, the key in fitness is about reducing frictions to actually do the workouts. Since I don’t have any impressive figures or stats, the social sharing features are more or less a blah and sometimes a distraction to spending time on workouts or other better things in life. I could see how some people would really enjoy that. So it hasn’t drawn me enough to upgrade to Pro. I found myself usually pay for apps that are lean toward helping me to get the main things done faster, easier and more consistent. What would take me across the line is having Apple shortcuts and api integration. So I could automate with Things3, Streaks, Apple HomeKit, and NFC tags and increase my chances of actually do the workout and use the app. I’m looking forward to become a paid customer when these integration becomes available.

Great app even if using the free version!. Hevy is a wonderful app for people who forget how ma y sets they have already done, like me, and it’s just a great app in general for tracking my workouts. I have gotten several people to start using it and I started using the version that costs money because it allows me to make more custom exercises and more custom workouts. It is quite affordable, at i believe 23 dollars per year. You can of course get a monthly version but I don’t see a point in that if you like the app enough. It is good too for tracking which muscles I have exercised and how much weight I have pushed over long periods of time, providing several charts and graphs to help me visualize it. I am also able to see on a calendar which days I have worked out. I realized I wasn’t working out as much as I thought I was, so it helped me get back on track! I love the app and I definitely recommend it. The free version works wonders as well! 💪😁

the primary gym buddy + bonus actual gym buddies. I thought I already wrote a review - and maybe I did - but figured I'd pop over here in case I haven't. I previously used Strong (which was convenient because you can transfer data from Strong to Hevy) but switched over to Hevy when a friend recommended it to me about two years ago. This app is so easy to use, and I Iove how I can track various metrics on here. The design is minimalist, sleek, and I never encounter any insufferable bugs (which is pretty rare for fitness apps!). I purchased the lifetime pro when I first downloaded it because I knew right away I'd be using it forever. By far, the best part of the app is the social feature - it's fun seeing what my friends are up to and maybe telling them to lift heavier, lol. The desktop browser is wicked sleek, too, and I like using it to build my routines as I find I'm faster on computer rather than phone. I recently started playing around with Hevy Coach to write programs for my friends (i.e. my "clients"), and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's also been really fun to watch the app grow over the past couple of years. I'm still waiting for the "work out together" feature 😉 But overall - 5/5 stars. You literally will never need another fitness app ever again.

This app is incredible. I decided to pay for the pro version for 2 main reasons: unlimited routines and to help out the team that made this amazing app. That being said, even without paying for the pro version, this is the absolute best app there is for tracking your progress inside the gym. It has the most streamlined system out of any gym tracking apps I’ve tried and completely stumps the competition (especially the notes app). Whether you’re just starting out your fitness journey, or are dedicated daily, this app WILL not only help you track your progress, but will also boost your motivation tenfold simply because of how easy it is to use. Literally the only thing I could suggest to the creators of HEVY would be a way to track how many calories you’ve burnt during your workouts (I’m currently in a calorie surplus and feel like it would help a lot when it comes to tracking my net calories daily) but otherwise this app is beyond perfection.

Excellent workout logger with reasonable pricing. This makes my workouts far easier. The Pro option was only a few bucks a month, and it allows me to add as many custom exercises as I want (in the case that Hevy doesn’t have what I’m looking for, which, admittedly, is quite rare), it lets you superset workouts, and keeps up-to-date records on your PRs for each individual exercise. Amazing app! The one “issue” I have is that the way you log barbell exercises is a bit weird. They ask that you log the whole weight, so if you bench 25 plates each side of a barbell, you have to manually type in “95,” which I feel is silly. It would be far more convenient if you could set your bar weight (in case there are different weights) and then just type in how much you put on ONE side, then Hevy can do the math on how much you actually lifted itself. I’m not the computer here, why’ve I gotta do the calculating?! Minor complaint, though. Plus, I don’t really use the social media aspect, so it serves as a fine self-reminder for how much I did last time.

Easy to use, but could use quality of life. This is the best free app I have come across for working out. It offers a variety of options and you are able to create your own workouts. Its nice to be able to see what friends are doing as well as be able to take suggestions from their workouts. It does offer upgrades in app in case you want to track things such as measurements (chest, bicep, etc) or if you want to create full 8 week programs for yourself/others. BUT they are not necessary! You can visit other profiles in order to get new workouts or full programs. They also allow you to use a general search in order to find exercises easily. This is a GREAT feature as its easy to look up things I have never tried and also see a video on how to do that exercise. The only criticism I have is their mileage mechanic. For walking/running/etc, you put in how many miles you went and how long it took you to go that far. I typically do not track this, as i am on a treadmill. I watch my speed and how long i am on that speed. Not only that but if i wanted to do timed sprints on like 11.7 mph, I now have to calculate of far i went after my timed sprint finished. I wish i could input my time and speed and/or distance. Overall, extremely helpful and convenient. Only inconvenient when doing certain cardio exercises.

Great app. Love this for tracking workouts, especially paired with the Apple Watch. I wish Apple would make it easier for us by allowing us to see notes for an exercise. Some things that would help simplify tracking: (1) creating or updating an exercise to be a one arm or two arm exercise. Right now when I’m doing bent over one-arm rows, for example, I have to log each arm separately and create duplicate exercises as a superset to track them; the work around for this is to double the weight in the app rather than logging the true weight you’re using but this involves math which I feel the app should reduce. (2) easier to time an exercise. Right now you can time them using the stopwatch at the top of the screen, but it would be great if we could start it from the exercise itself with a countdown timer to get yourself situated before the timer actually starts. For example, if I’m doing crucifix holds I would like to hit start beside the set, have it countdown from 3-5 seconds, hear a beep to start, and perform the exercise before hitting start and counting up for timing how long we can hold for. For other time dependent timers, I would like something similar where we get the countdown timer, but then when doing the exercise get started with a pre-determined time-dependent hold. So if I’m doing a suitcase hold, I could set the timer for 15 seconds and hear the timer beep when done. This would also benefit from the one vs two-arm exercise setting I mentioned above.

Very good app but needs some features. The app is great. But these are things I think it can add to make it better: - permanent notes that don’t disappear after one workout. I use them to mark where to place safeties or j-cups on my rack along with other details specific to a given exercise. - allow for a miscellaneous field alongside weight so that I can better keep track of some workouts. Sometimes I use a machine that allows for both built in resistance as well as added plate weight resistance, but I want to track those separately (the miscellaneous field need not be included in the calculation for total weight volume for a workout) - sometimes I’m in another app between sets or workouts and lose track of time because the timer doesn’t sound if you’re not in the app - can you make it so that I get alerted whether or not I’m in the app, and perhaps also change the timer sound to something more distinct and possibly slightly longer to know that the sound is from the timer?

Get it. Free version is great and completely functional, I paid for it and regret nothing. Its got about every exercise I can think of and I’d a great resource for the seasoned weight lifter or the new guy coming in. I’ve been out of the gym for about 12 years and just started going back and having a set plan of what I’m going to do keeps me focused and moving. If you’ve done an exercise previously it’ll show you how many you did so you can easily see improvement and help you remember what weights you used. It has a map of your body to quickly show you which muscles you’ve hit in a week and some positive stats to put perspective on how much you lifted. It also easily allows you to search for exercises by muscle groups for building routines, and you can easily set up a new routine if you’re too sore to do what you had planned. The only con I’ve noticed so far is that it doesn’t seem to track calories burned during cardio and heavily favors weight lifting, and as someone trying to lose weight and build muscle it would be nice to track that expenditure more than time or distance. But, that could also be something I haven’t discovered in the app yet.

Simple to use and track workouts. I managed to log 25 weightlifting workouts using this app in a gym, and currently do a push, pull, legs split. I was able to find 90% of the exercises and machines in the menu to build workout templates and track my progress. I was also able to substitute exercises and machines that were close enough to what I was doing for the remaining 10%. It’s very easy to add or remove an exercise or machine to your workout template if you want to try something new. The workout templates save the changes if you add an exercise or machine for the next time. The app also shows the previous sets and reps when you start a new workout, making it very easy to progressively overload. It also shows the days you worked out in a month so you can keep track of your total workouts. The only negative is that the app does not provide an overview of all your workouts in a given period. As such, it takes a little efforts to figure out if you completed a training block so you can deload. I get around this by maintaining a journal at home so I know when to deload.

Great workout app and progress tracker. This app is great if you’re just starting out at the gym and don’t really know what to do, or even if you’re an experienced lifter with a routine already set. You can still definitely benefit from this app as it gives you workouts you’ve probably never tried before. It shows you a sample recording and even provides an explanation if needed. There are normal sets, drop sets, failure sets, and even supersets. I would rate it 5 stars, but the Apple Watch version of this app needs an update. It’s not bad at all, but it doesn’t really let you create a new workout if you want to take a break from your routine. It allows you to change an exercise in an existing routine, but you have to scroll through all the exercises alphabetically, unlike the phone version where you can click on a muscle group or choose between machines and dumbbells. That would be much easier than endlessly scrolling to find a chest workout. Other than that, this app is great—I highly recommend it!

Outstanding Workout Tracker. After using Hevy for 25 workouts, I can confidently say it’s the best workout app I’ve ever tried! The interface is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to create, customize, and adjust workouts to fit my schedule. I love how much control I have over every detail, from exercise selection to rest periods, which lets me tailor each session exactly the way I want. The app even lets you move, replace, delete exercises, sets, and rest time during the workout. Integration with Apple Watch is instant and seamless, which was a big selling point for me. The metrics are awesome! Improvements I would love to see: 1. As the rest timer is displayed on Apple Watch, the ability to click back and look at the remaining exercises in the workout. 2. On the iPhone app, the ability to view a condensed list of workout history right now, the only option seems to be a snippet of previous workouts with the first three exercises listed. Those things aside, it’s an amazing app and I will continue to subscribe!

Amazing App!!!. My husband and I have been into health and fitness for years now and I have never found an app anything like Hevy! It is incredible! It is so hard to keep all of your exercises, sets, reps-etc all together but Hevy does that for you! They have almost any exercise you can think of and you can add personal notes for yourself! I love that it helps you see your progress as you move up in weight. It can time you as well so you aren’t waisting time in the gym. Aside from everything I just listed I would have to say my absolute favorite thing is the statistics it gives me. It will show me all of the muscle groups I worked during my workout, my time for my workout, my heart rate, and it will tell me what groups of muscles over the whole week that I’ve worked. They have so many graphs and bars to measure your progress, it blows me away! All of this also connects to your Apple Watch! I could not recommend this app enough! There are so many details I didn’t mention but you’ll have to try it for yourself!

Really helpful illustrations/animations. I had a solid foundation in weightlifting as a teen but got away from practicing it as I got older. My focus with returning to weightlifting is on building functional strength to avoid injuries as I age, not body building or competition. Coming back to lifting as an adult with moderate gym anxiety, the Hevy app has helped me track progress on my weights and allowed me to make intelligent choices about increasing the amount I’m lifting over time. The feature I really appreciate are the illustrations and animations that help me confirm how I am supposed to do certain movements to make it look like I know what I’m doing even when I am trying new techniques for the first time or revisiting for the first time in many years. Having proper form helps reduce my anxiety that I will look silly at the gym. I also like the percentage summaries of the muscle groups that make up each work out so I can have a clear picture of which areas I tend to avoid and should be intentional about training. As a free app, I don’t think there’s a competitor that comes close to the features available without paying. Highly recommend for a health-focused novice-intermediate weight lifter.

Closest thing to perfect I’ve seen. I didn’t think it was too much to ask - a gym tracker that recommended workouts but also allowed you to choose your own and make changes on the fly. Syncs with Google/apple, shows how to do exercises, graphs your progress. You wouldn’t believe how many fitness trackers are out there that DONT do all of that, even for a paid subscription. Hevy does it all - FREE. I paid for the premium version, but I didn’t need to (premium version unlocks more slots for saved routines and expands the length of saved data), but what they wanted for a years subscription some memberships want per month! Extremely cost effective. I’d like to see Hevy expand their exercise database, maybe even take user submissions and animate them. I’d also really like for the exercises in each routine to be “collapsed” unless you’re actively doing said exercise -helps to find it on the page but lets you see your progress through the list. But these are requests, not problems. Overall, very satisfied.

Amazing app. This is a pretty good app. It syncs seamlessly with my Apple Watch and accurately counts the calories based on the workouts. It’s easy to get through workouts and reps and keeps you from having to constantly look at your phone to determine which set you are on and how many reps. You check them off as you go. You can have the workout going on your watch and can pick up at anytime from your phone. You can even make adjustments in real time. There are tons of exercises to choose from and I am sure the developers are adding new ones daily. It would be nice to be notified when new exercises are added as options. The only reason for 4 stars is because for cardio exercises do on gym equipment, there isn’t a way to select the resistance. For example you cannot select the level of incline when doing a treadmill workout or the resistance when doing an elliptical or cycling workout. It would be nice to add this as an option. The amount of calories burned is higher when working on these machines at higher resistance over the standard. It would also be good for suggested workouts over time as you progress. Overall, an amazing app. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great app. Wouldn’t use any other app but this one 100, I purchased the lifetime subscription. Feature request: … To be able to add in Equipment information on a workout and it stays there permanently. For example seat positioning 5, leg bar setting 4 Bar height 9. And have them stay with the workout set you have saved. At the moment you put a comment in and it disappears when you wish to work out that set again, but stays with the workout you done on the day. Thanks Sean Been using the app for a while now and still the best app ever to use

Finally settled on the best workout App. Over the years I have subscribed to and tested the premium versions of most if not all the major gym apps. Many have been very close to everything I needed but HEVY is the hands down winner in my view. I won’t go into all the features - there are many reviewers who do that but for total functionality, flexibility, app and user support, watch functionality, exercise & workout customisation and progress tracking, HEVY beats all the others. Happy for my very reasonable annual subscription to renew each time and no longer trying new apps out. Very happy customer.

AMAZING- but use it right.. Works best when you create a ROUTINE for each day of your split. Eg: "MONDAY: Quads" "TUESDAY: Push" and reuse the same routines each week. Saves you time figuring out what to do each day and keeps you more accountable. You end up not making excuses like "oh I should rest today" because you'll miss a muscle group. Also saves time and mental energy choosing each time what exercise in what order ect. Then you will really see progress. Unpaid version only gets 4 routines so if you want to go more than 4 days a week, get the paid version, it's worth it. If you have an Apple Watch sync it up. It's helpful to see the heart rate real time and you can time rest between sets based on heart rate. I've never been more consistent with the gym in 5 years after I started using this app to its full potential.

A refreshing change!. On my first day using the Hevy app, I am thoroughly impressed! After using the Strong app for the past two years and being dissatisfied with its latest update, I began searching for an alternative. I stumbled upon a Reddit forum where users highly recommended Hevy. I decided to give it a try and purchased my first year at a discounted rate—thank you for that! I’m really pleased with the features. The app makes it easy to create workout plans, and the timer functions are excellent. The synchronization between my iPhone and Apple Watch is seamless; when I adjust a timer on one device, it automatically updates on the other—something the Strong app struggled with. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to complete workouts on either my iPhone or Apple Watch. Additionally, Hevy is more affordable than both Jefit and Strong, which is a fantastic bonus! Thank you for creating such a great app!

!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!. I recently just got into working out and was recommended this app by a friend. It’s perfect for what I need. It’s REALLY easy to navigate, has a TON of features and all around just easy to use. It’s free and so are most of the features and even if you decided to upgrade to the premium app, it’s not pricey at all. I promise I’m not endorsed by this app at all, I’m just a fat kid tryna be healthier and this app has really helped. If you’re just getting started or want an easier way to keep track of your workouts, I highly, highly recommend Hevy.

Perfect App For The Gym. Hevy makes it incredibly effortless to track workouts, progress, save workouts and make custom ones, improve from your last workouts, give yourself strict rest time, etc. As someone who has recently switched to the classic commercial gym style, the little animations showing how to do certain exercises makes it easy for me to pick up new exercises without feeling like I’m doing the wrong thing. Overall, the app does everything it needs to and has no flaws as far as I’m concerned.

THIS IS THE MOST OPTIMAL APPLICATION. I’m 2 months into using Hevy every workout I hit (which is practically everyday) and my progress has skyrocketed since the life changing discovery 2 months ago. Ok, I understand if your thinking I’m glazing a bit too hard but this app tracks set types (drop sets, until failure sets), rep count & weight (which the app encourages you to push, comparing your last results), and practically every single exercise that you can search; then plot your progress throughout the workout. You can create you own exercises or routine plans aswell if your an unorthodox gym rat but alas what type of person you are, if you want to track your progress with fitness related training, give this app a try!

The best workout tracking app. Hevy is so practical and easy to use. I can have my 4 main workouts ready to go and change them to update weight/reps and add or remove exercises. It shows you exactly what body parts you are working out. You can also see what exercises are best for the muscle you want to hit or exercises using a specific system that you might want to try out. It also has a social feature were you can add friends and see what others are doing for their workouts which is super helpful as you can learn from some great athletes. Overall it’s got everything you could ever need in a workout app and I highly recommend it.

Brilliant UX. Really easy to use and effective app. Having a simple intuitive interface is everything in the gym. You don’t want to be spending minutes on your phone and watch entering numbers or configuring the app. This app allows incredibly simple workflow for - starting and managing an ad-hoc routine - adding exercises as you workout - configuring and organising planned routines - changing weights and reps on the fly etc. Brilliant watch and phone app, and live sync between them allows you to make bigger edits to your routine on the phone (easier on the bigger UI), and smaller edits on the watch.

Exceeds the expectation of what I was looking for. Was looking for a workout tracking app and this has exceeded expectation. I was prepared to pay for an app with the right features and the free version of Hevy has truly delivered. The paid features are a little bit difficult to figure out what they are because it’s not explained well but if you play around with the app you’ll find them. The free version is honestly enough but the one paid feature I want is tracking strength progress over 12 months, free version is capped to showing only last 3 months of data. Once I go consistently to gym for 3 months I think I’ll switch to paid version and the one off payment is perfect because I don’t want to pay monthly. Highly recommend this app! And I never write reviews for anything lol

Pretty neat workout app!. I don’t pay for premium and have been using this app for a few months!! I love that I can have 4 saved workout plans AND can delete and add new ones (some apps you can’t 🥲). Super easy to navigate but still has a lot of flexibility for more advanced stuff, I wish that I could access more features but also it’s fine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the muscle distribution stat that’s FREEE!!! The main reason I ended up using This app (I know it’s a silly little feature but it’s really helps to know what I should work on next!). Besides from making everything free 😅 the only thing I wish was them to add more workouts, there is a feature to add more but it’s limited. Some of the workout machines aren’t on the app :( but I know there’s ALOT of exercises out there, hence why we can add our own!!!

Comprehensive. Great app. Easy to use. Can identify and track routines, repetitions, sets, rest times, routine weight, max weight, personal notes etc across cable and weight machines as well as free weights and body weight. I have yet to find any machine missing from the available listings. Love that for each routine, the app shows what muscles are used, how to perform the routine and other info. I am a bit of a “return to gym” person so I very much appreciate how comprehensive the free Hevy app is! I will consider “pro” version if I continue to attend the gym.

Simple and Effective!. By far the best fitness app I’ve used. Very user friendly interface and navigation throughout. Straight forward and too the point. Has a social side within so you can follow and ask for certain tips from fellow users or help keep that accountability with your friends who also use the app as they’ll be able to see your last logged workout 😉. Keep track of previous workouts and a whole bunch more such as you reps, weights, sets you’ve done through out the week or month (unless you subscribe to a low fee you can unlock its full potential, definitely worth it! 😁) but even if you don’t, you still have ample usage without subscribing which I think is awesome but in doing so, you’ll be supporting a small company and I’m sure they they’ve got more installed for future updates as well! So get amongst it! You won’t regret it! 💯

I never do reviews. Honestly this is the first time I’m leaving a genuine review, I’m sick of apps that reel you in and have locked up features that are necessary for your tracking. This app is perfect, it has everything. It’s for free for the most part, I’ve been using it for 4 months now I think. But as time goes by, I am more than likely going to pay for the features as it shows your years progress statistics when paid for. I’m sure it has other features I’m unaware of, but overall it’s the best tracking app I’ve used so far.

Hevy as a workout companion. Hevy has been a fantastic tool in helping me track my workouts. Previously, I had been using a book (like many of you) to track my workouts. Hevy not only simplifies the process, but allows you to better analyse your workouts in order to specify and target specific areas! I especially love the feature that tells the user the previous weights/reps that you got for a specific exercise in a set. This really lets you get that one extra rep more than you did last time! All in all, Hevy is a brilliant workout tool for anyone serious about body building and powerlifting.

Highly recommend. Great app to write multiple workout folders making it easy to switch it up from time to time, love the built in timer and how it displays your previous set so you know how much weight to try next time you do a workout. Only recommend a way to suggest new workouts for the library so it’s not always up to the user to make custom workouts for those odd workouts we all do from time to time. Apart from that I use this everyday, I purchased the lifetime pro and I’d recommend anyone reading this to give the free version a go you’ll love it!

The app for you if you want to track your progress. I previously used the Strong app, and have made the switch to Hevy a couple of months ago. It’s a great app, lets you create workouts with adjustable times, weights, and even allows you to create your own workouts and add pictures to guide you. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to track their progress, or even to use just to help you time along your workouts. Definitely recommend, free user friendly

Excellent app. Was sick of trying to remember what exercises and weights I’d previously done and for a time I was using the phone calendar to track but then it just gets lost amongst the other clutter in there. This app saves me sooo much time in the gym. Most routines are in there if not just add you own. Only thing I miss would be if the app could help push you to the next weight based on previous exercises, sequence of the exercises and previous weights ( or exercises you start with you generally have a bit more power). Other than that great app well done everyone working on the app

This app transformed my fitness journey. Guys please, this app lets you easily create your workouts and easily manage how much rest you’re getting with its in built rest timer after you mark that you’ve completed a set, as well as its wide range of exercises available and ease of marking completed sets and workouts as you go. The app makes sure you see your progress and stay motivated. What I found it helped me most and specifically with is that you make sure you push yourself harder and harder each workout, pushing 1 more rep out than last workout and you’re already training harder than last time, and improving slowly but surely. This app was the best decision I’ve made so far in my fitness journey. If you’re serious, download this app, enough said…

Easy, Useful, Unnintrusive. Title basically says it all. I use this every time I go to the gym and I love it. I can see how I did last time, figure out want I want to do, and at what weight easily. There’s so many features for something thats free, and you can get more if you pay. No ad’s which is amazing, and saves whole workouts. Theres so many things that I don’t have the time to mention, but it’s an incredible app. It can also be used as a social media platform which is odd, but I never engage and just have my profile on private. All in all, would recommend.

Great App. I’ve been using the Hevy Workout app for a bit now, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for my fitness routine. One of the best features is how it keeps track of your workouts effortlessly. I love getting notified when my rest time is up, and the fact that you can adjust the rest periods is super convenient. Another awesome thing is that it runs in the background, so you can jam out to your favorite tunes or scroll through social media without any hiccups. It’s also amazing for tracking your progress and celebrating your wins. Plus, the app has a great community vibe, connecting you with other users. Overall, Hevy is definitely one of the top workout apps out there! That said, one thing that bugs me is how it calculates full-body workouts like the sled push or exercises where you use one leg or alternate body parts, like with dumbbells. It can make tracking these workouts a bit tricky.

Fantastic feature set, especially for free. App has just about everything you need, and an impressive feature set is provided for free. Having some data viewable on the web is a bonus too. I switched from Strong as the free version has many features comparatively (such as 3 months of charts), and some things do work better (such as the 1RM chart not dying if your 1RM decreases). Some inputs are bit more fiddly but overall, would recommend!

Perfect Gym App. This app changed my gym life. It’s beyond what words can describe. The attention to small details and the little features it offers are what make it stand out. It’s the ideal app I’ve ever used for tracking my workouts and staying organised. Perfect all-round app, no doubt about it. I’m not the type to write reviews, but this app is amazing and truly deserves so much more attention. 10/10 – I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to take their fitness journey to the next level!

Straight forward and easy to use. I used to just do whatever I felt like doing on the day of gym. I downloaded a whole bunch of gym log app, and this one by far was the most straightforward to use. I like all the metrics I get for the session and the little gold medal I get from the most reps / weights / overall weights lifted, it has given me a good structured routine and data log. I still haven’t paid a dime yet but will be looking to upgrade in the coming months to add and save more routines. Cheers Devs!!

Helped me out fr. I’ve been going to the gym for almost 3 months and I can say that this app had helped me to a high level. Not only did it help me track the weights I’ve managed to reach, it helped me see how much I’ve progressed from the start and that really helped me with my confidence. This app has so many useful features to help you out on your fitness journey such as preset routines, backgrounds and how to dos for each exercise which I find very helpful. It offers a subscription to further help you out with your experience, but I’d say it isn’t very necessary, but if you’d like to support this app I’d recommend buying it as the subscription offers so many features that I’d find useful. Maybe I’d buy it just to support the developers to show my gratitude 🙌

Excellent Workout Tracker. I've been using this app consistently at the gym, and it's been a game-changer for tracking my workouts. The intuitive interface makes logging exercises straightforward, and the progress charts provide clear insights into my performance over time. It's reliable, user-friendly, and has become an essential part of my fitness routine. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay organized and motivated in their workouts!

Almost perfect. Works the way I workout. Ad-hoc changes to my exercise routine are hassle free and I’m prompted to update for next time. It’s almost perfect. I’ve given it 4 stars because my only complaint is the text contrast. There are Light and Dark themes but the weight and reps and previous workout reminders are all in a less contrasting font colour. I do not like wearing my glasses when working out and for me contrast is important, text size isn’t. Text size is fine, but the colour is just too close to the background value. I have lodged feedback about this. Since I only need this when working out, using the phone’s OS settings is of no help, I don’t need high contrast when I’m wearing my glasses.

Can’t Do a Workout Without This App. I’m 300 workouts in and I seriously cannot recommend an app more than this one! It is so useful for tracking your workouts. I am someone who is competitive and thrives on results and progress. So seeing it in an app gives me that extra bit of motivation I need to do my workouts. I love the small features such as being able to see how many rest days you’ve had since your last workout, your workout week streak, the social media aspect of it, and the fact that you can save 4 workout routines for free makes it great it for people with a 4-day workout split. There’s so many little features I could list that sets this app apart from other workout-tracker apps but the list would be too long. I also transitioned from a different app to this one and it was a very easy process to do so. This app is essential to your workouts, get it!

Completely changed my attitude to the gym. Been using this app for over 12 months. I went from being a cardio only type of guy that was confused and intimidated by weights and strength training to now loving strength training. I entered in my 2 week program that I found online that is an all over work out and transformed my body over the course 12 months. I now enjoy and look forward to going to the gym. It’s so simple and it’s like having a personal trainer. I can watch or read how to do exercises. I’m tracking my progress and it takes all the thinking out of working out. I cannot recommend this app highly enough.

Fantastic!. I have tried a few workout apps and this app is by far the best around. The design is great, it’s very intuitive and easy to use, it’s extremely flexible and (unlike many others) does not get in the way. I love features like the ability to swap out an exercise, mid-workout and the really great filter system for finding the exercise you want. Cloud storage for data is a must (are you listening Gymverse?). Massive library of exercises plus the ability to add your own just rounds out a great app. Well done Hevy team.

Awesome app for accountability. Downloaded this app because a friend recommended it to me and it has been such a helpful tool for my strength training. I love being able to follow friends and share workouts, as well as being able to keep each other accountable. It also has a vast array of exercises you can input and it tracks your weight so you know you're progressing, whilst also running you step through step of how to do each exercise. Love Hevy, Highly recommend it!!

Probably the best small fitness app out there!. After bouncing around on many different fitness apps, Hevy has been the only one that has actively felt pleasant to use. It’s the right level of engaging and competitive with friends, yet does its job quickly and efficiently. The devs are closely engaged with the community and respond quickly to feedback and ideas. All around I would say Hevy is the best app for tracking gym progress that I have found thus far.

Better than Strong. I was using Strong for a couple of years. I switched to Hevy & was pleasantly surprised. It has many of the features of Strong and other weight lifting apps, but the stats provided by Hevy are light years ahead & really motivating. I also like the ability to access my data via a desktop app because it makes managing my 6 weekly routines much easier. I would love to see integration with Strava or Garmin to add a cardio tracking layer to round Hevy out as a fitness app. Otherwise great job team! Love it!

Right level of simplicity and can edit with a computer. I have been using this for a couple of months now. The main selling point for me was the straight forward interface which let me program in my routines very quickly and easily from my laptop rather than a phone. The interface on the phone is also straight forward and clear. It makes tracking sessions effortless, and I find it motivating to use. A couple of small improvements could be made (e.g. letting you input weight of individual dumbbells instead of total) but these are easy to work around. I absolutely recommend this app, particularly if, like me, you prefer to be able to do your workout planning with a computer rather than a phone.

Most Intuitive Training Tracker App. Tbh I have never really found an app that tracks my workouts the way I want without hours of effort and time I don’t have. That was until Hevy. It is easy to use and has hundreds of exercises prebuilt into the app. You are even able to follow your gym buddies on the app and create a community to share with. This app is easy to use and incredibly useful for those tracking their fitness and training routines. It even helps me stay motivated with its encouragement at the end of every workout with its statistics. It is 1000% worth my money and if you go to the gym at all this is the app you want.

Some good features… but description is deliberately misleading.. The second “feature” listed in the app store description (as of Dec 29, 2023) is “Use the calendar to stay on top of your training schedule.” However, this is not a calendar that allows users to schedule workouts, it is simply a calendar view for past workouts (hidden in the profile section). This makes me mad, it is so wilfully deceptive. The app has basic functions like Strong and Caliber, but is missing key features like correct volume tracking for dumbbell workouts and the ability to plan and schedule workouts. If you’re after an app that is geared toward social media and sharing workouts, this might be a good option. If you’re not, then know that the social elements in the app come at the sacrifice of an intuitive UI. Instead of presenting key information for the end user on the home page, it’s simply a social media feed (turning off socials reduces the home page to another workout history list). Instead of spending so much effort on developing new tier of the app for personal trainers, it would have been ideal for the developers to focus on fixing key issues like scheduling, volume tracking and the UI. I was hoping there would be a fully functional app by 2024…

The Best Fitness App. I have been using heavy for the last few months and I have been impressed. It has been great to connect with a community of like-minded people and to see their workouts. I have found the integration with ChatGPT to be excellent. I found the range of routines that they offer to be quite good although I tend to follow a different set of routines with my trainer.. I like the fact that I can add in my own exercises if they are not included in the already large library. I’ve also found the animations to be helpful to understand what each exercise is. Overall, I highly recommend this app.

Best app. One of the best apps hands down you can take a pic at the end of every work out which doesn't seem like anything big but when I look back on work outs it brings back emotion and you can mentally cap all u went through that day! It's fun and smart together fun cos of the social aspect and smart that it allows you to insert any work out in just wish it would auto progressive overload so the next time you try the work out it shows the last weight you did and estimates a higher for this workout x

The Ultimate Gym Buddy — Keeps Me On Track and Connected. I’ve been using Hevy for a few years now and I honestly don’t go to the gym without it. It’s just part of my routine at this point. The app makes it so easy to track my workouts, whether I’m lifting heavy or just getting a quick session in. Being able to look back at past workouts and see my progress has been a big motivator. What I really love is that all my friends use it too — even though we live in different places, we can still keep each other accountable. We’ll upload little pics at the end of our workouts, leave comments, and hype each other up. It makes training feel way more connected and fun, even when we’re not in the same gym. The layout is super clear, and it doesn’t overcomplicate anything. You can build and save your own workouts, track supersets, and log everything without fuss. It’s just a solid app that actually helps you train better. If you’re into tracking your progress and want a bit of community too, I’d definitely recommend Hevy.

So far almost perfect. I was using Strong for years and got sick of having to always add custom exercises because they haven’t updated them since I first got the app, saw Hevy in an ad and downloaded it. It’s set up similar to Strong so I found it easy to navigate, though with a few better features. I like that it shows the percentage of each muscle group worked in the post workout summary and that on bar exercises there’s a plate calculator so that I’m not whipping out the calculator to figure it out. I don’t really care about the community side but you can hide the page so that works for me. Only other minor thing I’d like to see is a separate warmup rest timer but it’s not a big issue. I haven’t tried the Pro version yet but so far I’m very happy with the app overall

Great app to track workouts. I got a noti about my 75th workout asking about a review. I usually never bother writing a review as I see it as waste of my time. This app however has been so useful in reducing me wasting time figuring out workout routines. Here’s what I like: 1. You can filter which muscles your wanting to target, the type of equipment you use etc. 2. It also shows you how to perform the exercise in a very good gif. 3. You can copy and paste workouts from mates (done many times and works effortlessly) 4. Has great statistics on what muscles you have been training most and you can add your mates to see what exercises your smashing them in Overall an amazing app which has these amazing features in an easy to navigate way which saves me time, enough so that I could write this review. Don’t bash it until you try it

Best Progressive Overload App. Me and my mates tried a couple different workout tracking apps but Hevy is the best. I’m able to easily track my volume and P/O by seeing my last seshes lifts. You can even track your total volume by each individual exercise which is really useful to see my previous progress and your training frequency via the calendar. My mate and I train using the same program and now we can keep eachother accountable even when we don’t train together. I also add progress pics which I’m excited to look back on next year. Cheers guys and keep it up!

Best fitness tracker out there. If I could build an app it would be this one. I actually wanted to do the same and in my research found Hevy. I cannot promote it enough. It has everything you want to track workouts and progress. The reason I paid for the Pro membership for life is I have kept track of my body measurements for the last 10 years on scrap paper and the odd excel spreadsheet but when I saw Hevy offers everything I was recording for life plus the corresponding photos I couldn’t purchase it fast enough. To have it all in one place, my health overtime is so convenient. Even got my PT boyfriend to sign up to Hevy Coach so he uses it for his online business. Much thanks to the Hevy team for the incredible app and also constantly adding features to keep developing. Always keen to see what is new!! 100 stars/5

Hevy review. Good app and tracks a lot of things. Could have some extra features that i’ve found missing as i use the app longer: - photo gallery taken for uploading each session, the option to have the photos saved to camera roll - setting up a routine it’d be good to have a tally total of sets instead of counting manually how many sets the workout will end up being - option to re-order the routines in a folder - maybe also having different colours (use of green, yellow, orange and red) instead of a darker shade of blue on the figure of what muscles were hit the most would help visualise easier/quicker when analysing the workout

Almost there. I want there to be spaces for additional notes to be written related for every workout I do that’s more like a “on this day” how did I feel/what changes did I have to make and why etc. It would be better if every time you start your workout there’s a check in screen asking how much sleep we got, what our energy levels are, how recovered/sore we feel before we begin. Then at the end, our overall effort and satisfaction on the workout, not just the RPE for each individual set we’d done. Otherwise great app

Fantastic App!. This app has truly transformed my fitness routine, providing an intuitive platform to track my progress effortlessly. The user-friendly interface, coupled with insightful analytics, has made each workout session more purposeful. I can't help but appreciate the attention to detail that the Hevy team has put into crafting such a comprehensive fitness tool. From personalised workout plans to real-time performance tracking, Hevy has become an indispensable companion on my fitness journey.

Love this app. I absolutely love this app, it keeps me motivated and on track I especially love that it shows what muscles I exercised and says how much I picked up in total. It’s so awesome being able to see my progress & there’s a great variety of exercises in the library. More exercises could be added, that’s the only thing I would say, but I at least there is the option to add my own exercises if they are missing. Oh, the sledge push exercise doesn’t have the option for weight and reps which would be handy for progress overload. Keep up the good work!

Awesome app, has potential to be even better!. I really enjoy using Hevy for tracking my workouts, really easy and efficient to use. Really like the fact that it shows more in depth stats like how many hours I worked out this week and which body parts I have targeted. However, the one thing I would really like is if I have a certain exercise on 2 routines, it would be ideal if my latest workout weight and reps would be updated on both sets, as at the moment I have to manually change it on the alternating routine as I am doing Upper/Lower 4 days (4 routines) a week

Best app for tracking and building workouts ever!. I’ve tried several fitness apps, and Hevy stands out as the best app ever for tracking and building workouts. It not only holds you accountable but also allows you to see what your friends are doing, making it easy to plan workouts together. The app is user-friendly and functional while being simple. With Hevy, you can easily track which muscle groups, helping you create a balanced workout routine and hit those groups you didn’t realise you were missing. The app also offers inspiration from other users with the social side and this provides a diverse range of workouts to keep you motivated from all over the globe. Overall, Hevy is hands down the best fitness app I’ve used. It’s incredibly well-designed, motivating, and exactly what I needed to stay on track with my fitness goals. Thanks so much for creating this amazing app! Jaiden Maclean

THE ABSOLUTE BEST WORKOUT APP. I’m not a big reviewer but I can’t help but let everyone know how good this app is. Especially because I went through about 15 different workout apps before this one. All the big fancy ones with a million reviews and they were all so clunky and complex. Hevy is super simple to get some really good workout diagnostics, make plans and routines and even measure your workout. I use the app via the watch and it’s faultless and seamless. It measures my heart rate as well and puts all my info into Apple health. I like to be constructive if I ever write a review and add something that could change or maybe they could do better but I can’t. It’s exactly how a workout app should be. Another thing is the developers are super approachable and contactable and they create a friendly environment for the app users to connect and share workouts. If you want to train seriously or at least see your results over time all while having good plans planned out this is it! It’s well well worth it! Happy training!!!

Best progress tracking app. I’ve been using this app for 2 months. I highly recommend it. It’s easy to track workouts and progress. Good muscle group breakdown per workout. Highly recommend

Hevy. Very good way to track and share my progress for free

Great app. Amazing app, the free features are more than enough for casual training

Great tool. This has been a great tool to track workouts. I wish I had started using this sooner. Easy to use, never have any problems. Would recommend to anyone looking to take their training to a more serious level.

My Fitness Companion. I use Hevy everytime I go to the gym now so I can see my progress and log how much weight I do. I am very glad that a lot of the features are free.

Get this app!. This is my favourite app. I am able to track my workouts (free) as well as support my friends in our own little community no matter where or when we go to the gym. Holds me accountable and it’s just fun!

Best Exercise Tracking App. Hevy has single handily made going to the gym fun and more enjoyable. I love stats and tracking all of my workouts with the Hevy app has made hitting goals much easier and more attainable. I highly recommend Hevy to anyone looking to get more active or learn more about themselves. Hevy provides written and written ‘How To’ content to help you with your workouts.

Love it so far. Love the pre made routines. Makes it easy to get in lifts/hiits at work without having to think about much, just load a program and go (emergency services), super user friendly. Love the measurements and phoyo tracking. Only negative I have is I wish it paired with garmin but I think that’s more a garmin thing, 5*, lifetime for 150$ is mint! Hoping to stay consistent!

Great App. I daily using for reps and exercises

Easy for beginners. This app really helps me keep a continuous routine that covers all muscle groups. Really handy and is really easy to use and create your own little plan

W Workout tracker. W workout tracker, I get to follow my boys workouts, track my own and see shirtless ripped sweaty men…

Awesome. Good tracker get with your gym friends see each other’s progress is pretty cool an integrated calorie tracker would be even better but it’s really good regardless plus the free version still includes everything you need don’t worry about that

Helpful. It has really been helpful. Earlier I used to forget about last workouts, now it helps me to track every workout and aided me lot in progression.

Great app no ads. Super fast to track in between sets. It shows a box on your lock screen so you can just tick the box when you finish your set. Super convenient, very nice

Love it!. I’m loving this app! Very user friendly and provides a ton of data!

Great gym tracker!. A friend of a friend recommended this app to me and it has been a game changer for my workout routines. I love the style of adding exercises and making routines plus the addition of a rest timer that start automatically after each exercise is done. The examples of how to any exercise is also very helpful for beginners. I would highly recommend this

NEW FONT SUCKS. Why did you change the font?? The new font is so hard to look at

Good app. Favourite app I use to track workouts

Excelente app. Llevo 2 años usándola y me encanta, definitivamente la recomiendo para llevar el registro de sus workouts

Reliable. Been using it for two years on the basic program. All you need. Could do with an updated robust exercise selection but they got what you need. Never needed another app, never will

It is a confortable app. It is super

Changed Me. Changed the way I workout, changed my life

Great gym tracker. Does everything you could ask of a free app. I’m considering paying for premium access. Sometimes it may be missing a less common exercise but otherwise flawless.

Great app!!!. Love the features and the list of exercises is so handy. Especially the how to videos for exercises that are new to me.

Love the app. Really love the app it’s easy to use and super helpful in my workout since I started using it I’ve lost a little over 50 lbs I definitely recommend it it and you can ask Chat GPT to customize your workouts on the app to do whatever you want goal wise

Better than a spreadsheet. I don’t use the social aspects, but this is a good exercise tracker and has replaced the spreadsheet I used to use. Easy to add routines, easy to update them, the rest timer helps keep me on track.

Great app. Love Hevy, I’ve been using the free version for months and I’m very happy with it

Excellente app. Parfait pour logger mes entraînements et faire le point sur mon cheminement. J’ai essayé plusieurs autres apps similaires, mais celle-ci est ma préférée jusqu’à présent!

Best Workout App. I’m using the free version right now but will probably purchase the year or whatever because this app is unreal. It’s easy to use and great for both advanced and beginners.

Solid as a rock. Been using it for about two months and it prompted me to write a review after 25 workouts. Honestly respect for not shoving it in my face and letting the user experience it fully. Mind you, ive paid for the forever subscription so my review is likely biased. To start, love the workout recommendations if you want to workout the same muscles with different exercises and I also like the gamified workout/award system. You get awards for one rep maxes, heaviest weights, and new records while obviously tracking your previous workouts so it makes it incredibly easy and almost difficult to not workout. 9/10

Excellent app. This app is truly remarkable. This apps allows you to track your progress for absolutely free which is a nice touch. They track your progress and they even give you achievements for every record you break for yourself. I like how they always add a summary of the workout you just did. Its an excellent app, i would recommend it to anyone

Decent app but…. Do not, under any circumstances, ever bombard your users with notifications that aren’t related to their training. I would give it 0 stars for this reason if I could.

Love it. Love the app, but there’s a few common exercises that aren’t added. Double hand tricep extension? Smith machine rows?

Great app. Just what I needed! Easy to use and fun!

Great Gym App!. Has all the features you want and need. Intuitive to use and very good layout. Tried 3-4 other apps and this one is by far the best.

Great App. It does what you need and does it well

Great. Great, has almost everything I want. I wish the free version didn’t have a limit on custom exercises though.

⭐️. great app, would recommend no complaints

Great app. Does exactly what its supposed to. Doesnt really mess up at all.

great workout app. i love this! so easy to use and super functional.

Actually great. This app is actually really great & the free version allows 4 pre set workouts

Best workout tracker. Use to track all my workouts, can like and comment on friends to. Good app

The best I’ve found. I love this app so much. So easy to set up your routines and follow along as you’re in the gym. Times your rest, allows you to adjust weight and reps as you go. 10/10

Absolutely perfect. LOVE THE APP. My progress has been constant!

very good 👍. the app is good

Awesome. It really helped

My #1 App. I actually use this app more than any other that I’ve downloaded on my phone. Amazing for working out and really do love it. Whoever developed this did a great job 👍

Good. It is very good

Best if you have adhd. This app makes me hyper focused on keeping a strike Works so well for me

Worth it. I paid for the lifetime and even though it’s only been a few months I do not regret and know I won’t. It’s everything you need to create and track workouts. Being able to see all your history can really help push you that little bit more.

JUST HIT 500 WORKOUTS!. ✅ This app is my forever app. I’m not going anywhere. The first paragraph of this review below was from my first day using the app but I never finished actually posting it. The app saved it as a draft for me! The next paragraph is after my 150th workout- yes this thing congratulates you on various milestones and streaks along the way. One of my favorite and needed features. ———— 1️⃣ Day 1: All I can say is that this app is amazing. I was inspired I did three workouts today. I downloaded this app because my former app of years was having technical difficulties as it often does. I don’t like when a developer releases an app and doesn’t keep up with the maintenance. The only complaint I have after one day of use is the rest alarm doesn’t go off all the time especially if the phone is on another app or is asleep. The iPhone sync is also weird. So far so good with Hevy. ————- 2️⃣ After 150th Workout: Hats off to the developers!!! You guys make this app what it is. It took me until my 150th workout to discover that I can group workouts into folders as well as rename them; and like the exercises within each workout, you can also rearrange the order or them. This just made my whole day after discovering. Please keep up with the good work team Hevy!! You guys make me committed to working out. I don’t really use the social aspect of the app, but that too is great for those that do. This app is my forever app. I’m not going anywhere. Thank yall for MAKING and MAINTAINING a really awesome app!

Not perfect but best on the market. I downloaded 3 apps to try, all of which I found through Reddit recommendations. Of those 3, Hevy had the sleekest interface (to be fair, I’m always in dark mode), the widest range of exercises, and the most fun analytics/celebrations. The watch app worked the best too, although a lot of people preferred another one for some reason. Overall I ended up using Hevy and paying for the subscription so I could keep making custom exercises/workouts. My trainer uses Trainerize so I do also have that, but I still like Hevy’s UI so much better, and the RPE tracker is just elite. I’d love if my trainer switched, but there are a lot of non-traditional lifting exercises she uses that are in that database, I guess. Lastly, I super appreciate the Strava connection. Everyone in my life uses Strava, so I love being able to share what I’m doing too without having to manually import everything. I just wish that connection would also import my comment/caption about the workout. Overall would recommend!

Hevy is a great tool for beginners and advanced lifters alike.. I’ve been using Hevy for some time now(about 3-4 months) and it has just about every workout that I could imagine. While I’m not too familiar with any of the other features Hevy offers, nor am I a subscription member, I still find a great amount of use through the workout tracker. I used a little notebook to track my workouts and Hevy is basically that little notebook, but digitally. Like I said, it has just about every workout you could imagine and it tracks previous workout weights and reps so you don’t have to flip back a week to see where you were at. If you struggle to make progress or keep a consistent workout schedule and find that you can’t remember where you left off at from last time I heavily recommend Hevy. You don’t need the subscription to get the full satisfaction of what Hevy offers and I find that to be the “edge” Hevy has that other workout apps don’t. I will definitely keep using Hevy and recommending it to any fellow lifters I meet!

Great app could use improvement. I’ve used heavy for nearly 2 years now, and it is by far the most effective workout tracking app I’ve used. I bought the lifetime subscription and love all the features the app offers to promote organization and accountability. While this app is great, there is some room for improvement. First, when tracking total volume lifted, I’d recommend a feature to account for workouts involving both legs/arms. For instance, if I record hammer curls and input the weight I hold in each hand, a way to double the volume in the calculation (without disrupting my own tracking) would be nice. Second, I’d love to see more workouts implemented into the library! This app boasts a lot of different workouts and variations, but I often find my gym has machines not accounted for on this app. Despite my suggestions for improvements, this app absolutely crushes it!! Big props to the developers for such a great app

Best Free Gym Log. I’ve been using this app for a while. I’ve tried others but have found this to be the best for the most part. I do recommend going into the settings and turning on some features. And it took me a second to figure out how to configure everything the way I like. And it’s missing some exercises here and there. But that’s all I can complain about. It’s a pretty solid app. It’s simple and intuitive to use, and the free version has everything you need while other apps hide key features behind a pay wall. I like how much more intuitive this is over my notes app, and it shows you your weights from last week. You can set a timer between sets and it’ll give you a little noise when it goes off so you know when you’re ready without having to look at your phone. You can also log the difficulty in each set to track muscle failure

Best workout tracker and best motivator of all time. My dad was the one who put me onto this app. I only follow him on here, but I’ve been trying to get my other friends to join as well because it really is such a great way to hold each other accountable. You get to make four free workout routine routines (saved routines), which is perfect for me because I work out four days a week, and then I just do running on the fifth day. Also, there’s no extra advertising or redundant information. It just provides you with all the statistics you could ever want to keep track of your workout. And it’s also really quick and easy to fill out your sets as you are working out, especially with a saved routine. I’ve tried other workout apps, and they just seem either too childish or are too expensive. So this one is honestly the perfect one.

Been a big help. Great app, easy to use, videos showing you how to do majority of the workouts, you can create exercises they don’t have but they have ALOT to choose from. Tracks your progress and suggests weights in future workouts and if you follow it’s suggestions you will see progress. The community is really cool too and the way you can see other ppl workouts and compare is a great help to find answers by comparing. The fact you can do so much for free is crazy and I recommend this app to everyone I know. I promise you can’t find better for free. Only thing I want to see is more exercises but I can upgrade and create them for way less money than other apps. Also the workouts they have put together are great too I would like to see more of them targeting groups so you could have a variety but again you can make your own too. I am just lazy and cheap lol nursing student life I swear! LOL

Best workout App on the market. I have had so many people get this app - I have used it for over 2 years and it is hands down the best workout app I can find! You can add workouts in, track your weight - it will even tell you what plates to add to the barbell or machine (you can create a custom bar and I use that for the smith machine or hack squat starting weight or back row plate machine starting weight, etc) I love that I can share my workouts with other users and we can do the same workouts together without them having to go find all the exercises or creating them! Being able to get a lifetime subscription is so cool as well! Are there a few tweaks I would add or do? For sure! But not enough that I would take it off. Would love to sync it with my fitness pal or macros first or something like that. Or my garmin. It does sync to apple health and strava for what it’s worth.

Best workout app in the store. I’ve tried a few different workout apps to track overall workout routines, sets, reps, etc. This one is hands down the best out there, including free and paid versions. It’s the easiest to adjust during your workout routine if you want to insert sets, add a new exercise, etc. The controls are incredibly intuitive, exercise selections are simple, or you can build your own, and bonus points for anyone who wants to enable it for the social experience by following friends and others using the app. One suggestion another reviewer had and I agree with - adding a M for Myoreps under the set type would be fantastic. With this setting, add the ability to have all reps counted in that set, such as 10 / 7 / 5. You could do the same with Drop sets by having your initial weight (50 / 30) if you were using 50 lb DBs dropping to 30’s for another few reps.

Great workout tracking app. I’m still relatively new at tracking my sets and reps (less than 1 year) but this app makes it so easy. I was able to set up 4 different routines for my week and now it’s a breeze when I go to the gym. If I need to adjust my workout that day it’s easy to add or remove exercises, add reps, and increase weight. Plus you get a little celebration every time you increase your weight. I love that you can also take pics at the end of every work out so you can actually see the progress you’re making. It also keeps track of calories you’re burning so you can use that info to make sure you’re properly fueling your body for the most gains. The only slight downside is that there were a few work outs I couldn’t find on there however there are different variations (like free weight vs a machine) you can select so that’s what I’ve been doing. Highly recommend.

Streamlined workout planner tracker. Once you are experienced enough to plan your own workouts (ie. Anyone but a complete beginner), this is a great tool. I’ll plan a routine for the day but shift exercises depending on time. Large library of exercises plus you can create custom exercises. Tracking appears in statistics where you have a cool heat map of muscle groups used. I’ve tried other apps but found the apps limiting by forcing you to perform the apps exercises. Hevy has really good workout plans under routines such as PPL and 5x5. These are classic plans that everyone should consider using and are probably better then the flashy AI driven plans. Hevy is big in social stuff but I don’t use those features. Hevy is also reasonably priced for the pro version. I want my apps updated so I’m happy to pay a reasonable fee for the service. Other apps are really expensive and seem bloated to me to justify the price.

Helpful app. I use to go to the gym daily with my wife but do random workouts, now I know what I did e I use to go to the gym daily with my wife but do random workouts, now I know what I did exactly last time, I know where to start, I’m excited when I get a PR because it’s not like I’m just getting told I can see the progress in the app so it makes you feel better about showing up the gym daily even though you might not see the physical results immediately, you will know what you need to work on and it will in turn help you get result better and faster xactly last time, I know where to start, I’m excited when I get a PR because it’s not like I’m just getting told I can see the progress in the app so it makes you feel better about showing up the gym daily even though you might not see the physical results immediately, you will know what you need to work on and it will in turn help you get result better and faster

Simply the best. Absolutely the best workout app and I’ve tried a few. I used the free version for a while and got by just fine with my handful of routines. They also have so many moves on file so I rarely have to create my own. Here are my favorite things about this app that make it stand out to me. 1. The rest timer. I don’t have to stare at my phone anymore I just wait for it to give the notification and keep hammering on. They also make it so easy if you want to add on. 2. Previous weight/reps. What you did last time for each set is displayed right next to where you put in what you’re currently doing. So many times I’d forget what I did a week ago but they make it so easy to keep building off of what you’ve done. 3. Movement descriptions. If you need it, they explain each move step by step and highlight what muscles it’s supposed to activate. They also add in a mini video of what it looks like. As someone who only has a moderate idea of what I’m doing, this has been a lifeline for when I’m trying to switch things up and do new routines without looking like I’m just flailing around at the gym. Even though I was doing fine with the free version, I chose to upgrade to support the developers and I’ve been enjoying being able to put in all my measurements. Yes, you could just use an excel spreadsheet but I like this more. I also like the stats and how they show you at the end of the week a little graphic showing all the muscles you worked on. It’s just a really neat app considering it’s free and not that expensive if you want the pro version. I’m so glad my friend told me about it, now I’ve been recommending it to everyone.

Great App! Best by far. I’ve tried a lot of workout planning apps and this one is by far the best. 90% of exercises are inputted with “how to” pictures for beginners. Offers good starter routines for beginners but allows for you to make your own when you are ready or make adjustments to existing. The added social aspect allows you too connect with others to get inspiration as to what to do or ask questions if you don’t know something. Great tracking and at the end of every workout it gives you a breakdown of what you did, how much you lifted (including a comparison to what that an out equals) and what muscle groups you targeted. Just like with any apps there are in app purchases but this is the first one that I’ve thought it was worth paying for. Monthly or outright. Outright is ~$70 and most other apps are that for a single year. They’ve done a great job with it

Great app I hope they continue to improve. This app is great for tracking your lifting, it’s the best and easiest to use that I’ve found so far. Here are some of the things I like most; - ability to edit workouts easily on the fly during a workout - exercise catalog is pretty good (hope it continues to grow and they continue to add pictures and animations for those that are missing them - tracking progress over time. The charts are pretty good to see general progress and you can dial into different muscle groups pretty easily Here are some areas I’d like to see improved; - let me pick dark mode all the time and not just based on system settings! - ability to set goals (if there is a way to currently do this, I can’t find it. I’d like to be able to set weekly/monthly goals for sets, reps, volume or total workouts. Ability to do competitions with friends/followers would be fun. - it would be great to get instant feedback during a workout if you earned a Record rather than having to dig back through your workout. - it would be nice to be able to tag if you worked out with a friend somehow - for exercises that require you to do left and right (e.g. Bulgarian split squat) it would be nice to be able to classify these as left and right somehow. There are times where I’ll focus more on heavier weights on one side and higher reps on the other if I’m nursing an injury or trying to do some corrective lifting.

Easy to use and great for everyone. I have been strength training consistently for about three years now and have only used a tracking app for the last 6 months or so. The tracking app is an absolute game changer for progressive overload. I have seen some huge improvements in my strength and physique since actively tracking and following progressive overload with this app. I have tried about three tracking apps and this one is by far the best of them. It is easy to use and has everything you need. I love the fact that you can get access to the pro version forever with just one payment. For me, that was well worth it but the free version offers everything you could need as a beginner. I have recommended the app to many of my beginner friends and it makes getting into strength training for them a lot easier due to the fact that there are demo videos for each exercise built into the app.

Really fun. I originally downloaded this app after a friend at my gym suggested it to me to help keep track of lifting heavy/powerlifting. I was really surprised how quickly I got into the community and talking to people about how to get strong and how to program. I’ve been lifting for a long time, my bests would be 525, 405, 600 SBD and am pretty tough on advice. A lot of trainers I’ve worked with don’t practice strength strictly and sometime had a hole or two in how they programmed. Hevy got me in touch with people who spoke my language and I immediately started getting awesome advice and suggestions on lifting mechanics and programming. This is a really fun community to be a part of, whether you’re contributing info or learning from other great lifters. Everyone is incredibly respectful and does their best to be supportive and polite during conversations. I can’t recommend this enough as far as a good tool/friend group to have in your athletic journey.

Great Workout App!!!!. I was looking for something that could track my strength training sessions and also help me connect with other family members. Now, I’ve only been using it a few weeks but it’s so easy to figure out. Took some time to enter all my exercises, weights, reps, and such. But after that, I was able to copy workouts, create routines. Very easy. So happy that nearly all of the exercises I do are already in the app, with videos showing the correct form and which muscles are being worked. One of my favorite options in Hevy is the timer that I can set to automatically measure a selected number of seconds after each set. I was lousy at estimating how much time to wait between sets. Now I let Hevy tell me when rest time is over. Hevy even helped me improve my routine. When I saw the body map showing all the muscles I worked, I noticed I needed to do more on my abs. Found a promising abs exercise in the app that uses a machine at my gym and now there aren’t any blank spots on my body map. Best part, though, was connecting with 2 other family members. None of us use the same gym. One is over 1,700 miles away. But now we can see and comment on each other’s workouts. We’re each at different points in our fitness journeys but we’re not alone. We can cheer each other on!

A Non-intrusive Yet Feature Dense Workout Tracking App. Hevy is a straightforward app that lets you quickly add exercises to build workouts, keep track of your sets, reps, and exercise duration, and see your progress through awards, weight over time graphs, and one rep max estimates. It’s everything you want in an exercise tracking app that doesn’t interfere with your actual workout. Additionally, you can build a follower/following community to stay motivated and keep up to date on your friends’ progression. The free version offers basically everything the paid version does in terms of base features so you can try it out or use it with small limitations. Definitely worth trying out if you’re finding it difficult to stay motivated, keep progress overload going, or lose track of your workout during the daze of difficult sets.

The app is amazing and very helpful. This app is amazing, ever since I downloaded it I’ve gotten stronger than ever, I’ve been able to easily track my work outs and progressively overload every single session. Sometimes I’ve had some issues with the weight tracking like for example sometimes it happened that it said that I had previously a lighter weight than what I actually had done, and I knew that because I remembered, or in other cases, if I did two sets of something with the same weight, and I put it in the app, then in the next session it showed me that in the first set of the last session I had done the weight that I did, and in the second set it showed that I did a much lighter weight than the one that I actually did. But besides that, I 100% recommend the app for anyone going to the gym, so you can track your progress and not just go to the gym and “pick a weight that feels hard”.

100th Workout Review. I’ve done 100 workouts on the app so far and it asked me to review, I genuinely enjoy the app a lot and use it for all of my workouts now since starting I’m gonna start with the one thing I wish they would add which is RECOVERY TIME. I actually love this app and talk about it below but it would be majorly helpful if it gave me some sort of recovery timer for each of my muscle groups to track when I should work them again because I’m always struggling with my split and when I should hit a muscle group again. That’s what I would love to see. However It’s very easy to track my progress since it saves my previous weights and there’s a way to save the exercises you’ve done as well but I haven’t saved any since I’m going to like 3 different gyms and always changing things up but might start soon. I wish I didn’t have to pay to see work after 3 months progress since I tore my labrum and caused me to sit out for a while but I guess some things cost money which makes sense. Although at least I can see it when I click on the excercise history itself and my pr’s. I also like the feature that it tracks your kcals burned and you can send the workouts to Strava and the Apple health app.. which then connects to my cronometer app which is useful. Hopefully it’s semi accurate since I do all my workouts with my Apple Watch on but maybe a little over which makes sense. The rest time timer between sets tho is one of my favorite features because it makes me realize I’ve been sitting too long and helps ding me to start. Great app!

HEVY App Review from a 62-Year-Old Wheelchair User. As a 62-year-old man living with a disability, finding the right workout app wasn’t easy—until I discovered Hevy. I’ve been using it daily and it’s become an essential part of my health routine. I do all my workouts from my wheelchair, and Hevy has given me the freedom to create custom routines that work for my body and my lifestyle. I typically train for 30 to 40 minutes each day, and this app lets me track every set, every rep, and every bit of progress without any hassle. What I love most is the simplicity and flexibility. The app doesn’t assume a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re in a gym or working out at home with limited mobility, Hevy adapts to you. I’ve built several upper body and resistance band routines, and it’s easy to tweak them as I get stronger or need to adjust. The visual progress tracking is motivating, and the timer helps me stay focused during rest periods. I don’t need fancy bells and whistles—just a clean, reliable way to stay on track. And Hevy delivers exactly that. If you’re looking for an app that lets you take control of your fitness, even with physical limitations, I highly recommend giving Hevy a try. It’s more than just a tracker—it’s a tool that helps me stay committed, capable, and strong. - Michael F. 62 years old, daily user, wheelchair athlete

Streamlined, functional app! Great value.. I’ve been weight training for about 3 years through classes where I was receiving instruction and learning the ropes. Now that I know the basics, I recently transitioned to the gym where I could direct my own workouts, but I still wanted to track my exercises, weights and reps. This app is perfect for that! It has a very simple, low-maintenance interface where you can easily build and edit routines, track progress, and view your data for consistency and growth. The free version was great, but I wanted to be able to add my own exercises to the library, (including some light weight Pilates moves I weave into my week) so I paid the extremely reasonable annual price and I’m so glad I did! Hevy would be my recommendation for someone who knows how to build their own workouts and wants to keep things simple! Love this app and plan to use it for a long time.

Incredible Workout App – Motivating, Informative, and Free. I’ve been using the Hevy app for a couple of months now, and it’s honestly one of the best fitness apps out there. The demonstrations for each exercise are super clear, making it easy to learn proper form. What really keeps me coming back is how well it tracks my progress. From the weights lifted to the reps completed, it gives me a real sense of accomplishment and keeps me motivated. One of my favorite features is the muscle group diagrams that show exactly which areas I have worked out. It’s such a smart, visual way to stay balanced in training. The app also provides constant encouragement and positive reinforcement, which really helps build consistency. Best of all, it’s free to use. They even offer a lifetime subscription option, which is rare these days. Highly recommend Hevy for anyone serious about improving their workouts and staying consistent.

The best workout training app I’ve used!. I’ve tried a lot of fitness tracking apps over the years and Hevy is easily the one I’ve stuck with the longest it’s simple, powerful financially built for people who take lifting seriously The workout logging is fast and clean. You can build full programs, track sets, reps, weight, rest time RIR and even drop it without it feeling clunky perfect for progressive overload and structured training Progress tracking as we Hevy really shine scene strength increases on clean, grasses, insanely motivating, and it makes plateaus obvious so you know when you need to switch things up The exercise library is huge and if something is missing, you’ve had custom movements easily whether you’re a beginner or deep in a bodybuilding power building style training, it just works The community feature is surprisingly fun too. It’s cool seeing what other lifters are doing and getting the extra push of accountability. if I had one small complaint, it’s that I wish a few premium features were free, but honestly, the paid version is worth it if you’re serious about your training Overall: If you lift weights and care about tracking real progress, heavy as a must have app clean eye, powerful tracking, and no unnecessary fluff if it’s perfectly to both beginner routines in advanced programming

Stumbled on this and genuinely glad for it. I came across Hevy and wasn’t expecting much, but it’s become a real staple in my training. The ability to superset exercises is huge for me. I structure a lot of my sessions around supersets and active rest periods, so having that built right in makes logging fast and accurate. I also really appreciate that you can add your own custom exercises and assign primary and secondary muscle groups. That kind of flexibility matters when your training doesn’t fit a cookie-cutter mold. Workout history and PR tracking are genuinely useful. The app flags personal records automatically, which makes it easy to see progress over time without having to dig through old sessions. The template feature is a real time-saver too. Even on the free plan where you’re limited on how many you can save, I use every slot I have. It keeps my sessions organized and helps me move through workouts more efficiently. The built-in rest timer is a nice touch, and the visuals and graphs make tracking feel rewarding rather than like a chore. The little quirky win notifications are a nice bonus too. One thing that works well for hybrid training is how flexible the logging is. For cardio-based movements like ski erg and sled work, you can log by distance, which keeps everything in one place rather than jumping between apps. My one feature request: a Strava and/or Garmin integration would make this close to perfect for anyone doing a mix of lifting and running. I don’t plan on changing apps anytime soon and highly recommend it.

Great app for tracking workouts. This is the first app that I came across to track and log my workouts and Ive been liking it so far after using it for 6 months. Also love the feature where you can compare your progress with friends / followers to get that competitive mode on. Although some might argue that it would demotivate because of comparison, but strictly speaking, it is subjective and depends on how you use the feature. I personally loved it. And also the year long subscription works best for me. Some suggestions or ideas: 1. A feature to create workout playlists but have them shuffle your favorite exercises for each muscle group to spice things up and make routines less boring. 2. An assistant or a chatbot that would constantly motivate me, cheer me up, assist me in getting stronger/ leaner and explaining workouts (kind of like a fitness assistant) 3. A feature to message friends in the app maybe ? 4. Have pre-built workout splits or routines that have popular exercises for any session, at any level. Example: 2 chest exercises, 2 shoulder exercises and 2tricep exercises at beginner, intermediate or Pro levels if someone wants to do a PUSH workout, but doesnt know what to do or wants a change in their routine. But overall, im flattered with whatever the app already does and pretty confident that I will keep using it for a long long time.

Best for tracking lifts & pics/vids. Being able to track so much data, the PR information it gives from your sessions, the seamlessness of adjusting routines, all while acting as a storage space for your progress photos is incredible. Under rated favorite features: the timer! You can select and save how much time between sets for each exercise, it’s not one universal timer for the workout - and its not an annoying bell that cuts off your music - it’s a simple background pause and a buzz, plus it shows the timer on the top of your phone if you go off the app to something else in between your sets so you’re locked in the whole time. Also, being able to share the workout via copied text! I don’t have to type the workout out step by step if I wanted to share it, you just click copy text and it generates it for you!

Gym Game Changer!. This app definitely is my favorite way to track my progress at the gym!! I’ve tried several and none of them are this concise, user friendly, and have so many options at the same time. I can track rep range, see previous weights I used or PR’s, and add different exercises that aren’t already in their extensive library. I love how flexible it is to create my own workout, both pre-plan a routing AND while I’m working out (if someone at the gym has a machine that I want to use, I can quickly switch the exercise to something else in the app). You don’t have to create your own workout either, they had tons of great suggestions if you don’t know where to start, and if you click on the exercise if gives you a demonstration so you’re not totally lost. Even if you don’t JUST do weights, it tracks days you do cardio, yoga, Pilates, etc. for when I feel like switching it up. I love the hype at the end where it calculates the total weight you’ve lifted through your workout and showing me that weight is the equivalent of a Pickup truck, a T-Rex, a Yacht, etc. I know there’s a “community” aspect to it, I don’t really use that because I like to be a little more private, and it’s easy to do that. I just set my settings to “private”. Overall best app for gym-goers to keep track and be accountable!

Perfect Workout Companion - 50+ Workouts and Counting!. After 50 workouts with Hevy, I can confidently say this is the best fitness tracking app I've used. The extensive exercise library makes it incredibly easy to find any lift, machine, or workout variation you need at the gym. What makes Hevy outstanding: • Seamless workout tracking during your session • Apple Watch integration is game-changing - I can log reps, weight, and adjust everything without pulling out my phone • Smart rest timer with 15-second increment adjustments and skip options • Easy mid-workout modifications for reps and weight • Excellent sharing features for accountability with friends and workout groups The Apple Watch app alone is worth 5 stars. Being able to track everything from your wrist keeps you focused and in the zone. The rest timer flexibility is perfect - sometimes you need that extra 15 seconds, sometimes you're ready to go early. Bottom line:Hevy streamlines everything about workout tracking. No more fumbling with your phone between sets or trying to remember what weight you used last week. The social features keep me motivated, and the comprehensive exercise database means I never have to search for how to log an exercise. Highly recommend for anyone serious about tracking their fitness progress. This app has genuinely improved my gym experience.

best app for tracking EVERYTHING!. hevy has been a personal favorite workout app for months now. sometimes it’s hard to get motivation to workout, but hevy helps me with that because i look forward to seeing the stats at the end of a workout! that’s one of my favorite features - the muscle split and lbs lifted, also personal records if you reach any that workout! it also keeps the workout history (both of entire workout sessions AND individual exercises), which helps to determine the best weight to use if you haven’t done an exercise in a while! only on occasion do i wish that i could choose whether to time reps or track them via numbers, instead of exercises being pre-determined (as in, L-sits automatically only being timed, and russian twists being by rep). that’s my only (very small) gripe. i’ll always recommend hevy to friends, the same way it was recommended to me. great app always!!!

Gym workouts logged - check!. When I’m away from Tonal, I feel empty without a way to log my lifts - and this fills that gap! Sure, there’s a small learning curve for me in not always knowing the name of things. But I do learn - or figure out the next closest movement, which is easy to do with the options available, even when not a paid subscriber. And do I log 100%? No. But I get enough out of it - the important stuff. And that’s plenty for me. Okay, I lied. I love the lift comparisons for total weight. I love the graph of what body parts were worked out. I love the PRs recorded. I love that when you add an exercise to your workout, it brings up the history from the last time you performed the same movement and it helps take most of the guesswork out of it. I’m sure there’s more I could like and love and list off, but I’ll take my post-workout shaky fingers home to relax - until next time!

Best app ever. I can’t explain how much this app has helped me keep focused in the gym. No guessing what’s next, I have the lifetime membership and it is the best thing I could have done. I sit home and review workouts and put together my own combinations and create the workout. I have it synchronized to my watch and I start my workout. Everything is right there for view, the next set the amount of weight and reps. If I add weight or reps it’s a very quick adjustment. I tell everyone in the gym they need this app. I see people using a notebook still and walk right up to them and show them the app, I tell them they are wasting time with the notebook and it’s difficult to review the notes, with this app it’s all at your finger tips on your phone. Whoever created this app I give them two thumbs up. If you need a rep on the east coast side of the USA let me know!!!!!! I give you 100% on this app. Joe Stramonine

Game changer!!. Hevy has been a game changer for my workouts! I only the free version, but that alone has made the task of tracking my workouts so much easier. Not only am I able to track my workouts in a simpler way, I’m able to see my progress over time as well, which I really like! A few features that I love are the built in rest timer, the workout explanations, and break downs of what muscle groups are being worked with each workout. As someone who is relatively new to the gym world, these have been super helpful. My only gripe is that, as a Garmin watch user, there is no compatibility with Garmin or the Garmin Connect app, so if I want credit for my workout, I have to simultaneously run a workout on my watch as well. It’s not the end of the world, but it sure would be great to see the two find some sort of solution! Overall, I’m a very happy user!

Great app for a friend group. What started as just a couple of us on the app, has turned into nearly 2 dozen of us. It’s a place where me and my friends can grow, and show each other’s progress, and get 1% better every day. I am able to actually keep track of my workouts, instead of just going in blind each time. Some of us live on the other side of the country, yet we are still able to connect and stay in touch through Hevy. We’ve expanded on to friends of friends, in what feels like a community of accountability. I credit this app, for being a large part of the reason as to why I’ve stuck with the gym. I have friends who have never gone to the gym, but have been able to stick with it now thanks to Hevy. It just makes lifting and exercising fun, and you can see your progress in real time which is just great.

Couldn’t ask for much more in a gym tracking app.. I’ve been using this app for a few months after using the Strong app and wanting something new and I’ve greatly enjoyed it. The interface is nice and clean and the app makes it nice and simple to create workouts and quickly select them when you’re in the gym. It’s also extremely easy to reorder the workout, leave notes for yourself, and basically anything else you may want to do including adding custom lifts. I opted for the premium membership as it was only $12 for the year (Black Friday deal) and so far am enjoying it mostly for the ability to save unlimited workouts so I can create different programs for myself and keep myself accountable and trying new things in the gym. Looking forward to giving this app plenty of use and being able to see my stats change over time.

THE Weightlifting App. i rarely review apps but i have to give a huge round of applause to the product and dev team for this app. i downloaded hevy because it was one of the few apps for lifting that had a good apple watch integration. i stayed because, as a user, every action i want to take is already a feature that’s intuitive to find. the watch synchronization is seamless - i can input on my phone and it syncs instantly. i can make my routines on the website from a pc which is quicker than doing so on my phone. i can set timers and supersets with ease. examples of exercises are built in. it’s very easy to add custom exercises and the roundups show all the data other apps due but includes muscle group worked. integrates with fitness so you can still see your heart rate throughout the workout. i really can’t express enough how highly i recommend hevy. i went from a monthly to a lifetime subscription and it was a no brainer. pricing is VERY fair for all the features packed in here. things i would love to see: - weight memory on the watch when adjusting previous or inputting new so you don’t have to scroll. - a template solution for workout routines so they aren’t sitting in the list. seriously great app. would 100% be down for providing specific feedback, sessions studies etc. A+ hevy team. thank you.

What a great app!. I downloaded Hevy when I started getting serious about going to the gym. I wanted to track the details of my workouts like what exercises I did and how many reps and sets I did. Hevy makes it sooo easy to track your workouts. It saves your info so you can easily see your volume the last time you did each exercise. And it has most exercises saved so all you have to do is search it and click add. It’s a lot easier than using a spreadsheet, especially on the phone when you are at the gym. Also I see my fraternity brothers workouts and we all encourage each other on the app. I like this app! It’s helped me get better results in the gym by making it easier to track my workouts. Also, it’s helped me keep consistently going because I see my friends and brothers on there so we all encourage each other to keep our streaks!
