Launch Console Comments & Reviews 2026
Free and functions well with a cool factor. It’s free, no in app purchases, it has a compass direction indicator so you know where to look for launch, link to live video stream, universal countdown timer that works for any time zone, description of rocket and mission details, upcoming launch information months in advance. Just a solid free app and particularly great for Floridians or visitors that can view a launch.
Very useful, but needs real time feature. We like and use this app to keep up with the space coast launches viewed from our front yard. However, having to change the countdown time to the proper local time of day is irritating and should be totally unnecessary! A few tweaks to the coding and it could easily show both timers. I would give it 5 stars if those small change were made!
Great app with future potential. This app is nice with lots of future potential and growth. Love the idea to stream line the rocket launch schedule for the fans. Can't wait to see the live stream work. This app would would be great if it archived the past launches and videos. Would be nice if they indicated location and launch pad under details. Also maybe make it possible to add dates to iCal and have notifications on days of launch. And eventually link global launches from other countries or space items like blue origin and Virginia Galactic. Totally keeping this on my phone and testing it out. Thanks!
Great App I am very picky!. Great app shows the payloads of the rockets with great live video. On clear days in South Florida I can see the actual rockets! On launches the video is about 45 seconds behind while using cellular data I have noticed. Great for kids or just nerding out. Awesome APP. 🚀
Great app but missing one thing.. This app is great. I live near the space center and can watch launches from my back patio. I just really wish this app had push notifications to remind me a launch is about to happen. Please add this feature and it’s a 5 star app!!
Keeps Crashing. I love this app and have used it for a long time now. Unfortunately for the past week now I have bot been able to use. Every time I open the app it crashes when I try to view video, just shuts down. Also does not show the next launch or view the next rocket that is going to launch. Very big bummer. Can someone reach out and help me with this.
Fun app!. PLEASE add "Local Time" of the launch to the main screen!! The "countdown" is fun, but for planning, one either has to look at what time it is and then add the days, hours and minutes to that or go to the website. As a secondary suggestion, you might link some of those other nice main screen graphics such as "Data" to more mission specific information. You already have a beautifully created foundation, now all you need do is build on it by completing the linking to the area(s) on the screen to additional information/resources.
Need to put actual time of lift off.. I like the app but the only thing it needs is the actual estimated time of launch, you know like it’s at 10:30 pm or so. Not just a countdown. I mainly use this for a reference for when a launch is, then I go to either Spacex’s or ULA’s website to see when the launch counts down to zero. But remember there is a delay of anywhere between 5-30 seconds when watching on a device.
I’d love to give it more. So this app is beautifully designed and simply laid out, and it’s worth absolutely nothing for the iPhone X. I tried several times to do the guided app tour and it crashed each time. I also tried several times to navigate the app by myself which, although not overly difficult, proved a great way to crash the app. When it was running I had no info showing at all and some error messages. I’d love it to work, but for this phone... it doesn’t.
Like Sputnik crashing back to Earth. This started off as a great idea. Living in Florida and in range of launches it was very useful to know when to go outside and where to look. In the past few months it has become broken and ineffective. The latest thing to fail is the countdown clock. It stopped working two weeks ago. Before that, it stopped showing details about upcoming missions. Seems its fuel has been used up and it’s heading toward a fiery end upon re-entry.
A very well-made app. Really enjoying it, would like it to have a couple more features however. 1) countdwpn as lock screen. It may be worthwhile to make it possible to set the countdown timer as a phone’s lock screen. I’d appreciate it as someone who does not always remember to go to the up to check on launch status. 2) more detailed about the launch. One-paragraph descriptions is definitely not enough 3) as a long-term project it would be awesome to add info about international launches from other sites. Because not all potential users love on Florida :)
Fantastic Resource. I look at it every day to check launch updates. Then use it while watching launches from St. Petersburg. The compas is also useful for finding where to look when we are elsewhere.
Update. What happened to this app? It was my favorite to watch the launches but recently, I can't watch the video of the actual launch. And the buttons are missing to navigate through the app. I am very disappointed. I've deleted and downloaded but nothing helps. Please help
Dream app!!. This is the app I have been dreaming of since moving to space coast. I even tried to help design a version of my own but this is way better. The only improvement I can see would be push notifications. How amazing would it be to get a little message like “launch in an hour” or something to remind you? I seriously forget about them but want to watch because they’re fascinating! Anyway, amazing app! Can’t wait to see a launch with it and test it fully.
Love it!. Best app for all information about space launch🚀, I live an hour from the Kennedy Space Center and I really enjoy this app. Give you info on when is going to launch, what kind of rocket is, a compass so you know exactly where to look and a play button so you can see and hear al the details. Thank you so much for making this app I am enjoying it very much
Developers dgaf 🙂. This app gave me a hope for the fist few months of using but now I’ve been looking forward to get a notification about the launch at least a minute before but I got it 21 minutes after, couple minutes before landing the 1st stage. I don’t need this app on my device anymore. I’m really disappointed. +latest updates were couple years ago so I guess it makes no sense anymore. Easier to set the YT live notifications.
Nice app needs a few tweaks.. I enjoy using the app on the most part. Isn’t updated very quick when there is a postponement or reschedule. Compass was working very well at first but now is not even close. Please fix Compass that is one of the features I really would like to use.
It's great. Oh amd I forgot to say if you're to dumb to figure out days and hours and need times listed, then well, maybe you should even bother
Useful but overdesigned.. The sci-fi interface impedes the app’s primary purpose of providing simple, useful information. Launch times are given countdown-style (27 days, 16 hours and 42 minutes) instead of easily understandable date/time: why not give users the option to toggle between countdown and clock time? If the time now is 8:33am, and the launch countdown says, ‘00:00:0037’, why does the user have to mentally translate the countdown into a launch time of 9:10? Also, there’s no way to transfer a countdown value of “15:22:0019” to iCalendar to set a reminder alarm. If the app provides its own reminder alarms, it’s not readily evident. Frankly, a simple list display of dates, times, rocket type and payload type, would be much simpler to program, easier to understand, and consume the least iPhone memory & battery resources. I rate this app clever and useful, but seriously handicapped by the fact that the authors spent a lot of time inventing a confusing, science fiction-like interface at the expense of adding helpful features.
Read the review from justsomeguy. Just read the 2 year old review from justsomeguy and you realize that this app was thrown together (it looks very futuristic) in that it is scientific looking but functions like a disassembled Lego set. It’s way past time to get this app to function with my calendar, get the data button working and offer a better user experience just like justsomeguy suggested 2 years ago. I will offer 2 stars because it has a lot of potential and looks awesome.
Was a great app.... This WAS my “go-to” app for launches when it first came out. It was the most reliable source of information among all the websites covering the launches at Cape Canaveral, FL. As I live five miles away from the space center, am a photographer and a rocket enthusiast, I need reliable and useful information. This app’s quirky countdown page has been truncated on my display to only show days and hours (not minutes) with the time display shifted to the right, moving the minutes off the screen. Also the “Mission Details” page that used to show the upcoming type of rockets to be launched has been just a blank overlay for at least a year. Then when the screen is touched, the app crashes. Also, approaching launch times, the video sometimes shows the general info video on one device and the launch countdown video live-feed on another! Please update this app.
Great app!. Really like the app. Would be great to get push notifications on when the rockets are close to going up. Maybe some sort of day/hour/minute notification? Other the that I really have no complaints, work great.
Can't trust it for launch times. After my third time standing in my yard staring up at the sky like I'm watching for aliens long after the launch was scrubbed because this app isn't updated until after-the-fact, this app has lost all my trust. Not only does it need to have the launch times updated real-time, it really needs notifications capability. Other than these serious flaws, it's a beautiful app. Functionality over beauty is preferable though.
AWESOME APP. VERY RELIABLE. Love this app. No more searching the internet to find information on the launch time which is usually outdated and incorrect. The only suggestion is that they add a reminder alarm maybe 15 minutes (or user adjustable) before the launch so you never miss one. Thanks to the developers for such a user friendly, reliable, awesome and free app. Im sure many more people are seeing launches because of this app.
Good app but could be better.. I live on the space coast and know to expect lag on a countdown but this app is usually at least a minute behind. Also good luck having any battery left if you forget to close app.
Love this app but is missing launch location. This app is great for any space geek but the one thing missing, it does not tell you where the rocket is launching from. The launch compass points in the direction but being in AZ it pointing east, it does not specify if it's Texas or Florida. If you go to mission detail, same issue, it does not specify launch location.
Thanks for updating the app. Thank you developers for updating the app I’ve had a problem with this app the main user interface at the home screen of the app was all messed up I mean you couldn’t even tell when a rocket launch was scheduled so thanks for updating the app the problem is so far fixed and I thank you for it I wish you and everybody the best. Sincerely Alex.
Great potential. The app has great potential but is terribly over designed. Would be helpful to have a simpler user interface. Would also be helpful to have a date and time of launch instead of an day/hour/minute count down. Close but needs quite a bit of tweaking.
Getting better.... It used to be annoying because the times were never spot on. Now it’s pretty accurate. The compass is the best part since I am more inland. Gives me a quick reference of where to look.
Best app for watching launches. Yep, it has a few bugs, but it still works and definitely worth the download. No other app can help you find the location in the sky of the launch and the live feed and notifications are great!!
Almost helpful. A lot of effort on special effects and not as much on functional usefulness. First of all mission details is void of most details, which launch site (fl, tx, ca, ak)? What about the trajectory? It would be nice to know if the first stage is planned to land for reuse. The count down is nice but how about putting the scheduled launch time, maybe add it to the anemic mission details. It would be nice to set a pin icalendar reminder, or does this actually do notifications? If so, I would like to select which ones I want to be reminded about. I wouldn’t want a 2 am wake notification if I am in need of sleep for work. There needs to be a way to stifle the music and sound effects, maybe I want to check for launches when on a call or zoom meeting and don’t want others to know. If you scroll down the app makes weird sound effects and isn’t able to get the screen to return to the main view, it requires the apps to be hard closed and restarted. This is almost a great app.
Please give us the actual date!. I want to love this app, but it’s frustrating as all get out to check to see when the next launch is only to be met with “5 days, 9 hours, 57 minutes.” So. What? Next Tuesday?? Am? Pm? The countdown is fine, but let me see a date up above it or some such.
Almost worthless. The positive: it gives you the dates of the Launches that’s about it. The negative: do not rely on this to notify you when the launch is about to happen I have yet to get a notification that the launch is about to happen, or as it says “just minutes away““ only to go outside where I can see it from my house to find out it has launched before the notification from this app.
Functionality lacking. I like the app, just wish it would have some better functionality. There is an internet website version of this app that was around before they made this one. What I like about that one, and this is only my preference, is it shows the seconds in the countdown. This app only shows days, hours, minutes. Whats fun about watching launches is knowing when it’s T-minus 10 seconds especially when you don’t live by the space center. I live about 50 miles away and can’t always get to the coast to watch. Second issue and this is common with all these type of apps, it that the countdown is always off by about 10-15 seconds. Used it for multiple launches and as the countdown on the app approaches 12, 11, 10, 9. Etc. there is the rocket already in the sky heading to orbit! Contacted developers repeatedly, but like all of you here writing reviews, all go unanswered and no fixes ever.
Missing Days/minutes from display. Love the idea but over emphasis on pretty screens seems to have come at the price of basic functions. I have not seen all three elements of the countdown timer at once for a couple months now. I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the app. I still get days and hours one time, hours and minutes another, then only minutes the next time. Never all three. Great app when it used to work.
Florida isn’t the only place for launches. This is a beautifully designed app that needs some help on the navigation of data as others have mentioned. I believe this is an app created by the Florida team to promote launches from Florida specifically - but it would be great if it showed other launch locations, like Virginia, California, soon Texas and International. The world is a big place but getting smaller thanks to things like rocket launches - for the greater good expand the app to other launches, it would look positive on Florida if you do :)
Not user friendly. First off it showed the instructions really quick after I loaded it no way you can remember all of that. I have no idea how to work the Compass I don’t like the countdown style. It should tell the time as well as the countdown every time there’s a launch I don’t want to sit there and do the math to figure out exactly what time that is I can’t add it to my calendar so I have a reminder which is a must for me, if this was put together better, I live close enough to go and see the Rockets and was hoping this would give me better information since SpaceX never updates their website that I would know when I launch was coming and what time to leave my house to make it. Is this purposely done so tourist don’t come over to your city? I think they could take a little bit of the space-age looking stuff and make this so much better instead of worrying about graphics
Awesome. This app is too cool. I love being able to watch live video leading up to the launch. My biggest gripe is that they don’t just list the time of the launch, only a countdown. It’s kind of a pain to look at future launches and add the countdown time to the current time to figure out what time the launch is.
So close... but no :/. This app is gorgeous. Interesting. Great layout. Why 2 stars? It’s not useful! Not unless you launch the thing every morning; no, I don’t. The information is great, but it integrates with absolutely nothing. I need a push notification, or the ability to add launches to a calendar... or, we’ll, anything. As it is, you have a countdown in the app, but you better set the alarm yourself (it’s not a timer). Also, the “Countdown” page is usually wrong, differing from the next “Upcoming Mission” page’s content significantly.
Love this app. Missing one big thing though.. Beautiful app. A lot of cool features that are helpful to people that don’t know much or want to learn a little more about the launches. One big thing I hope that will be added soon is a launch reminder notice.
Love this! Wish there was a reminder. This app is great for locals in FL who want quick access to launch schedules and the compass is such a perfect feature for when you aren’t sure exactly where to look. The one thing I would really like to see added is a notification and reminder feature. The schedule changes frequently and I find myself missing launches because I forget to look at the updates.
Don’t waste your time with this. The only thing that works is the compass pointing in the direction where are you can watch the launch if you live close enough to see one. The launch clock is about two minutes behind, which means the rocket will be in the air before the count down is finished. I have used this on the iPhone 5S and a iPhone 12 pro with no difference in performance. 80 to 90% of this app is useless, in accurate, and slow to update.
Missing a few things. This app has a lot of potential but just isn’t there yet. The biggest, most confusing omission is it doesn’t show launch times. Just a countdown. When I’m a week out, I shouldn’t have to do math to figure out what time 6d14h32m equates to. Just let me know it’s Friday at 6am. And as others have said, it would be nice to have more mission details and to be able to have the app alert you about upcoming launches.
Great app!. I really enjoy using the website and it’s great that there’s an app for the launches now too. I enjoy the countdown feel, and knowing where exactly to look helps to make sure I’m in the best spot when a launch happens. Awesome work and thank you for putting this together!
Could be better. I like the app, but would appreciate having the date/time of the launch along with the countdown. It could easily be a two screen app, with the countdown/launch vehicle information/compass on one screen and more detailed info/link to live feed on the other. It would be nice if it updated in real time too, ie: stopping countdown if there’s a hold or informing you if a mission was scrubbed,
Super Helpful!. With everything going on in the world of space and rockets right now, it's great to have this app! I get notified of launches before they happen, and can watch the live stream right from the app. I live a city away, so the compass is super helpful to know which way to look for a rocket over the horizon. Plus it looks great! Developers seem to be active and working on some reliability issues, but I love having a quick tool for launches.
Need to be a rocket scientist to use. I get a text, launch scheduled tomorrow morning. Set my alarm for 4am, standing outside in my shorts like an idiot. Countdown is alternating between 3 min to go and a day to go, hmmm, what does that mean? but I’m optimistic. T-0 nothing happens, scroll through my notifications from the day before and I see it’s rescheduled. Do the walk of shame back to bed. How hard would it be to have that on the display? The UI is snazzy to look at but horrific to use, and I’m an engineer.
Perfect... almost!. This app does one thing, and one thing very well. I seriously have been looking for an app like this for a long time and this is nearly perfect. My only request is for push notifications! Right now, I have to make a note of upcoming launches and set reminders or calendar alerts so I don’t miss launches, but push notifications eliminate all of that. Please add push notifications!
Include other launch sites?. Love this app and when we are near the cape use it a lot. Could other launch sites be included? Here in Va we are near Wallace Island and would love to be able to use this app here.
Can’t get it to work :(. Tried uninstalling and installing again multiple times but the only thing that works is the compass. Tried to click on the support link but it took me to their website and I didn’t find the support for the app. I have friends da use it and it’s really nice and informative. Gave it the 2 stars because it simply doesn’t work on my phone :(

Veeery glitchy. Always wants to default to the prerecorded “infomercial” for lack of a better word, every time it gets close to an actual launch the numbers go haywire, lately there is no launch numbers at all
Works Great!. App works great for me!
UI is confusing. App causing my iPhone X to heat up very fast. Also the UI is confusing. It’s not easy to tell where a rocket is launching from and the main screen seems to be stuck on a previous launch from a couple days ago instead of showing the countdown for the upcoming launch.
App crashes all the time. This app has never worked for me on any of my iPhones. (5,6,6+,8+)

Used to be good. No longer keeping up with rescheduled launches. Moreover, no app support. The link here only takes to the web site version of the app. Better than nothing, but ...
I love this app.. If you are anywhere near central Florida, it tells when & what is launching next into space. The compass give you this direction to look in!
New update. New update just came out and the app works perfectly now! It’s great to see the developers are listening.
Please simplify the layout. Please dial back the design a bit on this. There’s way too much going on with this app, and not enough basic information. There’s a countdown clock, but no information on when the actual launch is taking place. (Ie, 3 days 2 hrs 15 min, instead of a simple Saturday Sept 5 3:28am).
Looks great but not very useful. I wish it just had date/time/location of upcoming launches. If it just had that and looked 10x worse it would be better. Doing the math of T- 83:12:12 means what to me?
App not working properly. This was my go to app for SpaceX launches but lately the app is not working properly. Especially the countdown clock. Please update this app to work with the latest IOS.
Looks cool but not updated w new launch times. I have to search and find info when a launch is pushed back from twitter or FB bc this app does not update close to real time when a launch has changed. Pretty worthless as that is what I check it for
Super cool. Love this app but it needs to show location of the launch somewhere!
Loving this App. During the day hard to know where launch pad is from Titusville now I can line myself up! thank you!
Great But. It would be great if explained the different screens. There was an explanation when it first loaded but there’s no way to get back to the explications. What is the opening page launch schedule for? It doesn’t match with any of rocket schedules shown.
Crashing. It was working great but yesterday it started crashing when I wanted to watch live video of the crew dragon launch. I closed out if it by mistake and when I reopened and presses the triangle it keeps kicking me out of the app. Not good
Great website, even better app. Exactly what I said above
Fancy graphics don’t substitute for functionality. Title says it. No real valuable functionality but the wet dream of some graphics guru. Deleted after a couple weeks trying to time a launch viewing.
Bad Graphics. Such a great concept, but it’s a horrible app to navigate through. Not sure what the developers we’re thinking. There are a few others in the App Store which give you a straightforward view of all the launches. Bypass this app.
Way too much fluff. I need launch info. Not a special effects generator. When I realized I got aggravated every time I opened the app from a notification, waiting on fancy stuff, I deleted it.
Works great but. For some reason the Compass portion does not work anymore not sure if that’s due to an iOS update or something that was tweaked in the last update of the app
Missed three launches. Only a four minute warning before a launch, the compass seems to think Cape Canaveral moves around one launch to the next. The app crashes more times than a drunk Russian. It looks great but hit a button and it’s au revoir app. But it looks great. Thanks but no thanks.
Pretty app but inaccurate. My family missed the last launch from Kennedy space center because this app was off by 30 minutes in stating the launch time.
Poor interface. Extremely poor interface. The only info needed is date of next launch and time of launch. Just google the info and avoid the app.
Crashes. I like the program. Good idea. But the only thing that seems to be working is the time to launch. If I switch too look at the rocket, live view or compass it crashes and keeps running in the background.
App doesn’t work with latest iOS on iPhone 15 Pro Max. I have always loved this app, but it doesn’t appear to have been updated in a long time, so it no longer works on the latest iOS. The app crashes every time I try and see any upcoming launches. A shame.
Used to be great. I had the app for years and it provided a lot of information (too much), and I stopped using it. I tried opening it recently Al all it does is crash. When it does load it shows nothing. Disappointed
Waste of Time!. Constantly crashes, and totally useless! The nonstop advertisements work great though, to the point that I cant get past them. I have force quit the app to get to the home screen only to have it crash.
Terrible design app. I actually live 20 miles to cape Canaveral and have missed launch’s do to this pitiful app. Today June 6 I here the launch after and miss visibly seeing. Plus app is poorly designed to use.
This is just what i needed!. I have been waiting for an app like this for a while. I can see the launch countdown in real-time and also watch a live stream, this is great!
Screen is messed up. The entire launch screen has all its numbers out of place, not sure if there is a glitch in the system or what. It’s been like that for a couple of weeks now. I redownloaded it and it still is doing it.
Freezing. The latest app update doesn’t seem to have worked out too well. It currently is freezing so I can’t scroll through the launches. Overall I like the app and I look forward to the fix.
Latest version not working properly. After the most recent iPhone updates the application is not working properly.
Useful but buggy. Launch console does give you accurate launch times and convenient access to video feeds. However the app countdown clock jumbles up on top of itself and you kind of have to guess how to interpret it.
Amazing. Love this app. Very accurate notifications and a very high tech look to the app.
Disappointed. Don’t depend on this if you really want to see a launch. I missed a couple because the “live” videos were from previous launches.
App crashed. Have been using this app for months, then suddenly it shows no data and closes when you push the play icon. IPhone 11 Pro Max Went to the App Store and link to app problems took me to a web based version of the same thing. Can you fix the app ?
Nice app, but cheesy. I like what the app provides, but the sounds and graphics are too much and unnecessary. I’m sure it makes the app a larger file than is necessary.
App not working. It showed yesterdays launch rescheduled for 2 days later but it ended up going off as scheduled, very disappointed. At this moment it still has incorrect launch information.
Good start. Good first start. My recommendation: the launch details should have a lot more info. Stuff that we like to see: for Falcon 9: previously flown booster? First stage landing? Landing on land or sea? Version of booster (block IV or Block V), etc. For Atlas V: launch configuration: 541 (5 meter fairing, 4 solid rocket boosters, 1 upper stage motor), etc.
There is some bug please resolve it. When switching to the rocket tab the app closes. Please look into it If you can send me an email I will send the screen recording of the problem i am facing
Too Many Bugs. Since I’ve had this it has just gotten worse. I’m deleting and trying something else. It never has the times correct or the video. It says there are launches canceled when there aren’t and vice versa. Disappointing
Stopped working. About 3-4 months ago, Launch Consul stopped working . No connection no information, no description of tickets, nothing. This used to be a 5-Star app, now it’s a zero star app as nothing works. Come on team get this fixed.
Used to be functional. The app used to be functional. For several months any time I attempt to view future launches and rockets, the app automatically crashes. Live feed feature has serious lag. This used to be a good app, not sure what happened.
Interface. What a horrible interface. This looks like the result of gamers in dark rooms behind walls trying to develop something useful. Can’t even read the text. Medium blue on black, no contrast. Test it in normal light and you will see how ridiculous it looks.
Keeps closing. Continues to close down 5 seconds after its opened. No updates forever. I’ve had this problem since I’ve had the app
Great app if you like old information. When a launch is scrubbed, you would never know cause it just continues counting as if a launch took place. If you have signal loss you may no longer be watching in real time even if it says LIVE on the screen. It’s a free app and it has some cool graphics and sounds.
Awesome Sci-fi feel. Love the apps feel and look. But it’s a little buggy, the margins are off a bit on the first page. And after scrolling through the upcoming launches I can’t get back to the present launch timer.
Update still not any good. Not sure who does your testing but you should fire them. Found more bugs within the first minute. Get your stuff together if you are going to launch a new app. Got a screen shot but cant share on here. Very disappointed.
Used to be good, time never synced now. Today’s launch was 25 minutes ago, the app still shows that it is 7 minutes from now. It’s constantly like this any more. This app is a constant source of “oh man I just missed it.” Thanks for nothing.
Great App!. This app is awesome knowing when the next launch is is really hard to do if u don’t have this app it makes it super easy. Also it has a really cool interface system.
Crashes. App is nice to use when it’s working. But it keeps crashing anytime I try press any button in the app. If the app didn’t crash all the time I’d give it 5 stars.
Pathetic Application. This app lacks so much. The clock never updates correctly. When launches are delayed or scrubbed the clock doesn’t update. There is no time listed, just a countdown, which of course is not correct. Why bother putting up an app that is so pathetic?
Broken by 8.1 release. Was my go to for launch info, wacky countdown clock aside, until the latest release broke almost everything. I got countdown clock, no upcoming launch data, but do have random crashes. App currently useless - wait, still tells me the temperature, so i guess that’s something.
Mostly useless. Looks cool, doesn’t work. I tried to watch the Artemis 1 launch today. One part of the app’s countdown said it had launched (-5) while another part said it was about to launch. Truth is it was scrubbed. Obviously not connected to a good data source.
