Lost a lot of progress because the app refreshes and auto closes at the worst times. I love drawing here, and I use my iPad, but I’ve lost so much work because I attempt to save my file, only to get an error message. I go to clear some space to allow me to save my file, only to find that when I tab back to the Clip Studio app, it has closed itself and all my work is gone. So my attempt to make space to save my data winds up being yet another waste of time. Thankfully I save often, but it feels like three steps forward and one step back. It’s obnoxious and infuriating and I keep losing valuable work time because it gets deleted into the void. Oh, and the auto save is not accessible later on either. I go to try and find the auto save in hopes of recovering my work, but there isn’t even a location to find the auto save files, so if the program doesn’t feel like opening your auto save when it refreshes itself and closes without your consent, you can’t get your auto save back either. If you get an error message on the iPad that your file could not be saved, you might as well kiss your work goodbye.

Still great.. This program still *desperately* needs an option to allow artists to Save As a layered .Tiff, and while there are always little tweaks to be made, this program is as great as it ever was.

Has everthing. I liked how they have all different options to draw and I would keep using this.

First time iPad user. I’ve always appreciated clip studios animation features. First time using on iPad, I’m usually a Paint Tool SAI girlie when illustrating on pc but I wanted more mobile options. Until SAI releases an app, I’ll be getting more familiar with the rendering tools of CSP. Enjoying it so far.

Best Comic making app on the market.. Clip Studio is the definitive comic creation software for anyone interested in making high quality comics. I say this as someone who used photoshop for over a decade. I’m using the iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen, so I have to subscribe to the $99 annual plan, but I also had a windows license. The interface can be a little daunting for the first time, especially on the iPad where most drawing apps go for a simpler interface, but if you have a bluetooth keyboard or want to use your phone, you can set up hotkeys for just about anything. Clip Studio does have a simple UI mode, but unfortunately I have to reimport my custom brushes and some of the layer effects aren’t available. What makes this app worth the subscription is the ability to create, preview, and export virtually any form of comic or illustration in a straightforward manner. Making a vertical webcomic? Clip Studio makes all of the slices for your comic and has a phone size overlay so you can see how much of your page will be seen by mobile viewers. My biggest complaint is when I’m without internet connection and I launch the app only for it to take 20-30 seconds trying to connect to the server. You can still use it offline, but clip studio will want you to connect at some point which is a tad weird.

Best drawing software. As far as drawing goes this is by far the best and most powerful software. I found that every app on iPad was pretty basic for my needs but Clip Studio Paint’s iPad app is a perfect port of the desktop version, and has all the features you’ll ever need. There is a simpler alternative UI too if you prefer that. Great app for manga/comics since there’s a ton of tools specifically for it. It’s a bit weaker when it comes to animation, if you want to do animation I’d recommend using toon boom or opentoonz instead. I hope it improves on the animation front so I can just have one app to do it all.

Please read. I have suffered enough trying to download this to my iPad, it’s way to hard. Yes I have tried signing in, I have already downloaded and bought the license and it says I didn’t buy it, and wants me to buy it again. I am not buying for something I already bought. It’s really hard to sign and make an account, so please just keep that in mind. (I’m sure the app itself is good, it’s just really hard to buy and download it).

Love this!!. So much better than the other drawing apps out there. It doesn’t try to hook you on effects or “wouldn’t this be cool” options. It provides a huge toolbox to help you create whatever story you want to tell. If you got the talent…this has got all you need

Pc power on an iPad. Like the title says, this app is a full blown program normally used on a computer except… you now have it on an iPad! Full fledged professional workspace and materials all to your tailored liking. This thing is just a powerhouse not sure if there’s even a better word to describe it

I do miss one time payments tho. I love this program. It’s way better and more intuitive than photoshop. The only thing I don’t like is the subscription. It’s a lot of money that I have to keep putting into even though I gladly already put in money towards the gold membership and assets. I don’t really do that anymore because I now have to worry about the software subscription. I know I can go back to the old version, but that would take away half the features even though I had the highest tier at one time.

Still hands down the more intuitive illustration and digital paint program.. If you like procreate, but want something more robust, limitless layers, and overall a better painting feel, get Clip Studio! It’s my go-to for serious pieces i’m working on.

best drawing app I’ve ever used!. I have used Sketchbook, Procreate, and even Photoshop in the past and they all pale in comparison to Clip Studio Paint. It just has so many features and an incredibly easy to use and convenient set up. I love it and I will never use another app for art again.

Dumb paywalls. it’s a magnificent app. Good functions and brushes etc etc,I enjoy making art on this. It’s very worthy of 5 stars if it weren’t for one thing: paywalls / memberships. What i mean is that you must get an entire membership just for simple functions. For instance: why do I need an entire membership just to save my drawings? Or record + save my timelapse?? Or export my drawing??? It’s just very stupid in my opinion. Ik many people have probably complained about this before but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be talked about. There are countless times my tablet has died in the middle of a drawing, and all that progress is lost forever because I can’t save my drawing / need to pay to save my drawing. I really do hope this changes in the future, though I doubt it will.

Great program!. I have been using this program since about 2016 on a Wacom tablet, but was thrilled when they released an iPad version. I don’t even know all the tools and tricks, but I have been so pleased with the program ever since I started using it. I haven’t had many crashing issues, but it has happened - usually when my iPad has low memory or I have too many apps running. Sometimes it’s just pure bad luck, but they do a great job maintaining the app thus far.

It deleted everything. Ok, first, when I wanted to get a license so I could save my drawings, it was extremely tedious and when I FINALLY got the account, it didn’t even let me use it. Then when I gave up on trying to use the license that I had spent so much time on to get, I tried to make another drawing. I spent hours on my drawing and I made sure to not close out of app. I had a five minute break and when I tried to finish my drawing, it closed out of the app and deleted EVERYTHING. Not just a few strokes or layers,EVERYTHING. I’m very disappointed that such a successful art app can’t even save one drawing

Great, love the brushes.. I used to use Procreate and while it is a great app I was looking for different brushes that worked better for my style. This did the job while also having a lot of different options that helped a lot. I will say that you can’t really see what you drew in the small image on the layer, but you can just turn it off to see which layer it is, or just rename them. It is a bit complicated to get used to but afterwards it’s a great app to use

The Perfect Art Program For Me. I absolutely adore CSP! It’s fairly simple, but has the ability to create complex tools, making it great for beginner and advanced artists. It’s only fault in my opinion is that this version is not wallet friendly if you can’t do a subscription based service. If you can, I highly recommend it!

CSP For iPad is the best for anime illustrations and character concepts. I tried out CSP for the iPad and it’s so nice! I have an iPad Pro and it’s a nice size especially for the workspaces and I love it because I don’t got the expensive money for photoshop haha. I recommend it cause I love using it for my character design illustrations and trying to do commissions. It also has so many amazing tools similar to photoshop and it has everything even offline :) recommend!!

$50 just to not be able to use it.. I just bought this for work a couple of days ago on my computer. My computer is pretty old so it can’t really run software like this all that well, and I can’t afford a new one. Since my iPad is newer, I thought to use it on that, but come to find out I’m not able to with the one time purchase. I cannot afford a recurring subscription, so I’ll just have to stick to using procreate, a one time purchase of $10 instead. This is a missed opportunity for the clip studio developers, I know users would love to be able to use their not cheap purchase on the iPad. Myself, as well as many others, I know would buy something like this with a one time purchase before a subscription any day (hence one of the reasons why procreate is so popular and highly rated).

My grandpa uses this app he is an artist. I've seen him drawn on this app on his pc and I've played with it a million times so I got this app to improve my art skills.

No different than makers of PS. I had this for a while, loved the 3d model aspect, but the company is just as trash as photoshop now. First of all, i never had this on PC because i dont have a PC to use it on, so I was only on ipad, and when i found out PC has a one time pay licensing I stopped sub and boycotted this app. I even went as far so use two apps that totaled out to a one time payment of around $25 to do just about all the same things as this one does for 99$ a year. I hate the idea of subscription and honestly its not even that i “feel” cheated, those of us who use ipad ARE cheated. Not planning to support this company unless they go back to what they were like before. Even more of a joke is that they will avidly ignore any response that mentions their change from one time payments to subscription. This is only worth the money for people who are big-name artists that can afford it, dont play games if youre just a hobbyist, theres plenty of other apps that can give you what you need without you being pressured into spending a lot of money. If i could get a one time licensing for the 3d model aspect by itself, id take it, but this company is just as greedy as PSD, they’d have gotten more people using them readily if theyd have just kept all the different license tiers and avoided the subscription wall. They already have a huge traction and a lot of popular artists have reviewed their product. Might as well be Photoshop 2.0

Awesome, just one small detail :). I really love this app. It’s great and I wouldn’t wish to use a different one. But, with the newest update, they made the home screen white. And I kinda miss the dark color that it was before, so it doesn’t give eye strain. I’m glad that the work area is still a dark color though. So thumbs up for that! I don’t mind the Home Screen being bright if my workspace is still dark, that way I don’t hurt my eyes. I do wish it was an option though. Like, you could put it in dark or light more. Just an idea :) Overall, the app is fantastic. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It doesn’t crash, and the brushes feel amazing. Totally recommend this for professional AND beginner artists

Quit limiting us to subscription models.. I already hate CSP’s subscription model as is. The only reason I stayed with this program on Ipad is because of the inclusion of 3D models. But now that the subscription price is increasing YET AGAIN, I will be leaving Clip Studio Paint behind for good. I’ve found better alternatives that are cheaper, and will be using those from here on out. If you want to keep your customers, consider dropping the overpriced subscription model and allow us to just purchase the program like you can on PC. Otherwise, I’m done.

Invasive Saving And Constant Internet Connection. Tiered of the constant saving and loading of other files, when I’m not even working on those files, causing me to have to wait before I can start working on the file I want. I assume it has to do with me using Dropbox. Why do I need constant internet connection on an IPad, but not pc to run this?

Like Photoshop, if not BETTER!. I’ve been using Clipstudio for quite a few months now and I love all the features. Perfect for Webcomics, doodles and illustration. There are also cool 3D models to play with.

Hands down the best. Clip studio puts the other drawing and painting apps to shame. I loved pro create and clip studio has a learning curve, not bad though when compared to the benefits. The capabilities on iPad and Mac are amazing to say the least. I have used many including photoshop and paint shop pro. By far it is the most natural experience out there.

Amazed and disappointed..... While I am so surprised and excited about clipstudio paint finally being on iOS, I am pretty disappointed in the fact that you all chose to go with a subscription model. I can almost guarantee (and I'm sure tons others would back me up on this) that people would pay a good amount of money to use this app if it were only for a one time fee, I know I would. Already you can see from the reviews left, that people are not liking the subscription model. Please do not follow the Adobe and Autodesk subscription route! P. S. I'm loving the interface! It's just like the desktop version, better even! Keep up the great work and please listen to the thousands of users that use your great software.

Professional use only. It’s a good app but i feel you need your iPad to be for only drawing if you want to use it. I tried using it and it made me feel inferior for only using procreate before. I don’t know how it works.

Intimidating, but otherwise BEAUTIFUL. I love all the brushes and features but I’ve been using this for a while and I’m still not sure what all the features do, but I definitely recommend it to all artists who know a bit of basic knowledge of app controls and layer management!

It’s okay, but limited.. I would love to use this app more… But the membership..? I wouldn’t mind buying it at a higher price if it was a one time purchase, but the fact it has a not so friendly membership is what makes me perfectly content on deleting it. As well as just sticking to Procreate and /or Ibispaint x instead, because even Ibispaint x’s membership deals are cheaper and more ideal for ipad artists! And… At least you can still use Ibispaint x without a membership.

Beginer friendly. I’m a beginer friendly in everything in comics… clip studio paint has made coloring fun markers n color pencils are pricy or can be, but they make it less stressful hardly steps in scanning n covering up on PowerPoint I love animation, I’ve gotten were I am today simply because I love art n comics n books it’s all I’ve ever known…many thanks for the program I’ve searched far n wide it’s the best tool out there

Good software with a subscription. Clip Studio Paint (CSP) a vary powerful pice of software. It seems capable of pretty much anything I need. Unfortunately though I can’t justify paying a subscription for something I use for a hobby. If I was getting paid for the art I made. I could see myself paying for a subscription. I’d totally pay another $200 for a one time v2 EX licensees on my iPad. It could even be done simmer to how Affinity team removed their v1 apps from being purchased after they released new apps labeled V2 so that when V3 rolls around I can pay you gain.

Hi. Don’t get me wrong, this app is very good! The only thing I want is to be able to save my drawings in doodle mode. I know it’s meant literally for doodling, but I really like this app and I’m not sure about other people, but I’m not a adult and I can’t afford to sign up for a plan. So all I would want is if I could save my drawings, I would be very happy. Thanks for listening to my suggestion!

Better than procreate to me.. I used to use procreate heavily… but then it crashed and all my work was gone. Thankfully I backed everything up before that.. but since then that app has been crashing a lot more. When I got clip I was already amazed, it has always been a dream of mine to get it and now that I’ve had it for about a year I am glad I made the switch!

My favorite creative app. I've been using clip studio since debut on desktop, in the past few years they have really upgraded their application. I really enjoy being able to start something on my tablet and being able to move my project to the cloud, and pick it up on my desktop. The downloadable assets are great. Go create

Having Clip studio paint forever. You know Clip Studio Paint is a good software, used for anime, but the problem is buying it, free trial, license. The thing is that it caused money, and I hate that, I know some other animation app doesn’t go through that situation, if Clip Studio Paint can just that situation, then I would maybe use maybe Clip Studio Paint. Clip studio paint company, if you’re reading this, please change that situation.

One time payment on PC but not mobile?. I feel like this is some hypocritical/unfair situation. What makes computers different from mobile that mobile has to pay every month and PC only needs to pay once? Oh, and TO PAY JUST TO SAVE A FILE? I used this app once or twice in the past and I was actually able to figure out adding keyframes in animation (which I still wasn’t able to draw on, by the way) but now it’s just crap. I don’t know what the good reviews are about but I hope they figured it out easier than me because this is just stupid. I click the pencil icon, doesn’t let me draw. Every single time I open something, as soon as I close out it says “Unable to save” and it makes me have to pay. I don’t care if there’s a “3 month free trial.” If you need to make money from this game, choose something else to get it from!

Needs Dark Mode. The new app update is fine, but it desperately needs a dark mode or at minimum an option to match the device settings. I miss the nice grey background the app had before and much prefer it over the stark white background we are currently stuck with.

No longer compatible with the desktop one time purchase version. I have the one time purchase version 2.0 on the desktop. I use that and I use this subscription version on iPad. I use both to record Timelapse videos. However, with the 2.1 update. The Timelapse does not work with both versions, between 2.0.6. and 2.1. I cannot start a drawing on one, and finish it on the other. This means I can no longer use the Ipad for drawing on the go. What a waste. I will be cancelling my subscription.

Professional Artist Review: Life Changing / 5 Stars. TLDR: BEST IPAD ART SOFTWARE DETAILS: I am a professional illustrator, storyboard artist, animator and recently a tattoo artist also. I always used Photoshop with Wacom tablets or a Cintiq, but when M1 iPad Pro came out I finally had hope I could stop dealing with Wacom and desktop computer and only use the ipad. This product: Clip Studio paint, has allowed me to totally work on iPad, for ANY kind of illustration work (it also is great for animation). This software, on ipad, is so good it literally hanged me life. This is a fully functional desktop style software, but the coolest thing besides the huge amount of features and seamless workflow, is the CUSTOMIZABILITY of the interface - it’s insane: you can completely design the layout to easily include the tools you use, and hide everything else. AND it has excellent HOTKEY support: you can choose all your own hot keys, and save separate workspaces (I have a ‘comic’ workspace, a ‘storyboard’ workspace etc.). You can go ever deeper with the customization and design how the pop up windows work - like if you use the selection tool to grab a piece of an image, you can choose which options pop up beneath the selection (free transform, warp, etc). This is the best software ever created, 100% could not recommend any higher, maximum gratitude to this company.

Display P3 color does not display properly. The app doesn’t really display P3 color properly, the red and green does not change at all when I switch between sRGB and P3 in preview. I only use this app because procreate lacks some crucial features that this app have, otherwise this app is a no for me, especially with subscription, while still doesn’t have GPU acceleration for the canvas.

I want to like clip studio, but they make it impossible. The ‘studio’ interface is terrible for a tablet, so I was excited at the addition of ‘simple mode’. The interface is great, major improvement for working on the ipad. However, this mode is lacking in major functionality for no reason. Your brushes are not automatically available when you switch, you have to manually add them back. You can not select multiple layers at the same time. It’s baffling how you could leave out a simple function like that. I will stick with procreate I guess, it is at least fully featured with a good UI.

Good. I have tried many drawing apps, this is the best one by far, it has so many features, but it can be a little pricey, to some people, but it’s good

CONSTANT Crashing and sending my data to their server. CONSTANT CRASHING!!! On a newer ipad pro!! While doing almost nothing! Ever since this newest version there’s been TONS of random crashing. Times where I’m not even doing anything except scrolling the screen…turning down the memory % just makes the app unusable…the update just makes the app too heavy for ipads… Also forced updates all the time without warning! If you move off a app for a second, or your screen turns off for a sec, the app will just close and update. It doesn’t care if you saved or not. Ever since the update I’m CONSTANTLY getting a pop message saying “ transferring data”. What data I don’t even know.. and it’s suspicious that there’s no setting to turn that off. Either way , It prevents you from drawing and stays up for way longer than it should. I’ve been using csp for a good long time on my pc and for a least 2 years on the iPad, but ever since they upgraded to version 2.0 this has been the worst…

Good software, dumb sub. Good: It’s a very good drawing software, and it makes it very convenient to draw on the go. Now that I don’t have the disconnect between a screen and my dinky little drawing tablet and can just draw directly on the ipad, my lineart comes out much more naturally. Bad: It can be a bit buggy at times; I’ve had it abruptly restart out of the blue while using it, meaning I lose anything I was working on if I haven’t saved recently. Luckily this doesn’t happen TOO much. I also think the subscription thing is a joke. I own CSP on my PC and still use it there (certain editing things are just easier to me on that version, plus it was a buy once and it’s yours type of normal deal). Being forced to sub just to own it on my ipad is aggravating. Just let me buy it and own it, good grief.

Love Clip Studio Paint. This app is a one stop shop you can do illustrations, comics, webcomics and animations. There’s also 3d models and assets you can use. This app is awesome n they also have videos to help you get started in the software.

Its good but meh. I keep on losing my progress and i get so mad i had to delete the game and think about i have it but please make it better and please dont make ppl pay like why pay to do digital art?? PLS FIX IT IF YOU SEE THIS✰✰

Inferior to the PC version and to its competitors. There really isn’t any good non “money-grubbing” reason for why my license (that I have from my pc ver.) won’t work on the iPad ver. The UI is still cluttered, they really should take notes from Affinity Designer with their mobile version. It doesn’t mean a “simple mode” where you take AWAY features, just make it less cluttered. And Procreate is about to turn the indie animation scene upside down with their Dreams app (one flat purchase btw), rendering the animation feature here quaint. You can make great comics here, but there really isn’t a good reason to justify the monthly price when the desktop version can be bought single purchase.

Tired of subscriptions for casual drawing. I don’t want to make millions drawing. I like to draw for fun. I need a version that lets me draw for fun for $8-$10 one time fee. Add features and make a better version, I might buy that new version in the future. You need a tier for casual users. Otherwise procreate is PLENTY awesome. Also Inspire. There are LOTS of apps that don’t tether you to a payment plan. This has some nice pencils and pens and some good brushes. But nice enough to pay $100 a year for? Nah. Also, I HATE that you can’t even really explore the options in pricing fully without making an account. How about letting me pick my plan BEFORE making an account. A lot of “sketchy” stuff going on in thus apps business design. Too bad, some nice features.

The apps good but why the paywall?. listen the apps very good and all but the way we have to pay to save is actually annoying. I wish to use the app and save and put photos on my canvas. It makes me very sad that you guys had to put a paywall on it. That’s the only pet peeve I have about this app.

Where’s the guidance?. I mean, nearly every app has a tutorial. This one doesn’t and it’s overly complicated! I don’t even know how to shrink the drawing! The textures are great, but maybe you need to add some labels. Like, ibis paint X! It’s a great drawing app and it has labels, not confusing, and it has a tutorial! I hope you improve this. I downloaded and deleted this many times.

Jesus, let some official person read this for the love of god. If someone from Clip doesn’t hurry up and explain to me why iPad users cannot purchase the app in full I am going to absolutely lose it. I cannot afford to pay that much money for a program every month you are asking too much. Why do the people who use a computer get to buy it and we don’t? It feels a little biased. I love the app and I RELY on it. Someone important, hurry up and answer me, I’m not going to bite your head off I’m just super frustrated.

woah. I made a mistake I couldn’t seem to fix so I redownloaded the app but it said “get 1 hour free each day” and I was like wait what- what happened to being able to use this without paying or using an account? Soon realised I was using the wrong app and now everything’s okay :D this is an amazing app and I’ve been using it for a while. Also for those who haven’t payed for it and use the free version and want to save their finished work but can cause of payment, just screenshot your work so you can keep it and upload it to the internet if u want :)

More potential. It’s not the best app for me, not many choices for brushes/pencils. Confusing to use. I wish there was more brushes, that would be helpful. I know this app has more potential.

Subscription only, shame. This app unfortunately suffers from what I dislike about the iPad system, too much of it is subscription based. If I could buy it outright like I can the desktop version I would. However this combined with a few other apps just makes it all unaffordable. Shame. Great program, but too costly. Use ads to get your money or something else, I’ll just take screenshots of my drawings until then.

Just some feedback. I want to get to start using this regularly but it is extremely complicated because sometimes it won’t let me draw and there are to many buttons that I don’t know how to do anything other than draw erase use the bucket and make text bubbles but also I can’t change my brush tips or how much the eraser erases so the hole point of this is to make it simpler

Best drawing app. Clip studio has managed to recreated the full desktop version for iPad. I’ve been using the desktop version for years and the app is the exact same. Tried procreate and others but this is by far the best. Subscription is pretty rude however! I own the pc version outright and feel pretty cheated that I now have to pay a monthly subscription for the iPad app. Couldn’t give 5 stars for this reason .

A little glitch here.... At the start, I was playing a game then popped out an ad. It was talking about a game called Clip Studio Paint. While it was continuing, I gradually liked it so I went to the App Store and started installing. When it was done, I was so excited my heart was about to burst open!!(Well not really.) I tapped the app and got through the Getting Started page. Once I was done in that page, there is actually no tutorial to that app! I have completely no idea how this works. Then I got so confused my brain is about to wobble! After that, I uninstalled the game. Once that was about to rate the star and write a review just like now. What I’m about to do is to search How To Use Clip Studio Paint. What’s your opinion everyone?

Like really. The drawing app is okay to use but is so slow and the options look like there chucked everywhere! Literally took me an hour to draw something and had me at frustration! Please make all the options easier and less EVERYWHERE!... thank you🙂

It’s horrible. You can’t do anything you have to sign in and you have to make a subscription if you want to keep doing this game, it’s a horrible thing and you can’t draw it won’t let you it’s horrible I recommend you don’t get this game if you want to do something like this get,Ibis paint it’s way better. I’m done.

A bug. The pointer gets stuff on the right side of the canvas which is really annoying as you also cannot draw there. Tried moving it, everything but nothing works! Please fix this before I delete this app!

Making a account and then it not letting me in -_-. I got this app to draw cause I saw one of my favorite youtubers using it so I obviously wanted to try cause it was “free” When I got it and went on it said transferring data and straight after it came up with a subscription thing but I clicked the white button below and made an account, when I made the account I tried to log in, but it wouldn’t let me And as I tried to log in it kept saying I didn’t have a license or the account didn’t exist??

Would have given 5 stars. This app appeared to be the perfect solution until you find out that a whole days work can be lost by switching apps. This app doesn’t write any information to the internal storage. All your work is stored in memory. The same memory that all your other apps use. Make sure you click save before swapping out even for a minute. The disappointing feeling could be avoided by using a cache stored on internal storage instead of using memory.

Is a bit bad. Hey, I wanted to do some drawing so I downloaded this app but the thing is it didn’t give me any tutorial so I had no idea how things work and now I have accidentally made my pen size large and I don’t know how to fix it, I would really like u to add a tutorial so new people can understand how to use everything

Draw for 1 hour and only free for 3 months!?. Like I’m not trying to be negative but this is a..DISGRACE!!!I know, I sound like a Karen but I highly recommend other apps that let you draw without paying and it could have better reviews if you pay once I would rather pay $100 than to pay like everyday for this app umm so this app is good you can draw but I recommend flipaclip or other drawing and animating apps but I dosen’t mean that it’s not good developers, this was a good app for me and if you update it I think I will redownload it!!

absolutely love it. ever since i found out about the app and tried it i fell in love with the app. i use to use ibis paint x back then so it did take me a while to get to know the more complicated features and buttons but now clip studio paint has become one of my most favorite drawing apps as it has many different features, the only thing i dislike about the app is the fact that you need to pay to save your work which i feel should be free.

Excellent app. The new update really improved the iPad version, and doing away with the in app file system and moving it to the iPad one was great. Be sure to backup your files before updating, as I saw another artist on Twitter say they lost all their files after this update. Insert obligatory comment about the fact that it’s a subscription.

Amazing app. I recently bought a Wacom tablet and it came with a bonus gift: choosing 2/3 software apps, I got Corel painter and clip studio, clip studio is way way WAY better than Corel, it may be confusing, Thant’s why it’s for professionals.

Great. I didn’t have to pay for a animating app but why are people saying they have to I am on iPad and if you want to know how to get past the first bit hit pro or ex and press cancel it will start to load

Very complex and a bit tacky. I tried using this app, but since I didn’t know how I tried to press the help button, but since its awkward location, I pressed the three top dots on my ipad. Many unnecessary tools, do not recommend if you want a simple and highly functional app.

Just some feed back :p. I was drawing something, then suddenly this add came up, I’ve seen it a few times but kept ignoring it, but when it showed again I thought, maybe I could have a try of this app. So I downloaded it, and I actually really liked it, I’m still getting to know the app but I’m getting better, I found a way to animate, and just draw. The problem that I’m frustrated in is that I can’t save and I have to sign in. I tried signing in but it wouldn’t let me go past the second part of signing in. So I didn’t know if I had to wait for a response or it just does let you through, but on the other hand, it’s good I really like it!

The perfect program for experienced digital artists. I’ve used a lot of art apps in my day- but mostly I would use Paint Tool SAI back in my PC days- one of my biggest lamentations moving to iPad (I was using Procreate, originally) was a lack of features. There were a lot of things on PC that I could no longer do on iPad, or that I had to create a workaround to achieve But no more! Once I started using CSP, I was delighted to find all of my familiar features and functions once more- plus a slew of additional ones! There’s a huge community that creates assets and brushes to use in the app, as well as inbuilt functions like the animation options (which I recently got the hang of!) CSP is definitely daunting to beginners. For someone who isn’t familiar with a digital art workspace, I would suggest something like Procreate, and then to work your way up to CSP. But for someone moving from PC to iPad- CSP is the best choice, in my opinion. Especially since I now use it as my main app on PC as well!!

Really professional!. I LOVE this app it brings out creative imagination and a lot of great things! For my love for anime and love for art this is a great application to let my imagination run wild like ever before! So thank you for creating this app it’s awesome!

Animation. HOW TF DO YOU ANIMATE I CANT SEE MY TIMELINE, SO WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!!??!!?!!?

Disappointing. requires a constant internet connection to have access to basic features, which defeats the purpose of having it on a device I can take anywhere.

Feedback. It’s an okay app, however there are waayyyyyyy too many issues, it is extremely difficult to animate because every 10 seconds there’s a new issue with a new button, and the fact that like 40% of the content is paywalled doesn’t help either.

I have never used this app. By my eyes from reading other reviews, apparently this app is hidilessly awful… that’s all I got ta say Thanks lol

Great but needs adapting. I didn’t give it a gleaming review the first time around so it’s time to stand corrected. It’s a great program if you want to specifically dedicate yourself to anime/manga/comic style of drawing because it’s pretty much designed for that. It does take some time getting used to and you probably want to invest on the largest screen sized ipad to make the most out of it. Also consider bluetooth keyboard to increase your speed. The subscription isn’t too bad actually, but I understood it might be a little steep for people who are just starting out. Otherwise, if you’re serious about comic drawing, I’d suggest give this one a go.

Confusing, expensive and frustration. Using this app is confusing. Trying to create an animation or a comic is super difficult and it takes a while before I could understand how to navigate the app. After a while of using the app and getting used to it, the app will now suddenly free and lag when using 3d models or while playing an animation; It has become frustrating and slow, audio doesn’t even work on this app either. Te price is also incredibly unreasonable as the PC version seems cheaper then the iPad version. Please consider reducing the apps subscription price

How to handle with no tutorial. There are ytubers who use this, love2drawmanga. Also it give you room to explore! It’s fun and a little glitchy. But exploring and playing around is wonderful!

Paying. I like the app’s features and all but I don’t really like the fact you have to constantly pay every month/year especially on ipad and it’s just, why can’t I buy it as a whole thing like procreate. I really like the features of the app, alt house it gives me slight anxiety to make sure I keep paying up haha.

So stupid!. I can’t even save! What is with these apps that are free! There not you need to pay just to save like I’m trying to learn how to draw! But noooOooOoooOoo I can’t like so goddam stupid! Thank you for nothing app goodbye.

Would be a 5 star if it wasn’t a subscription. I wish I could use my desktop version that I paid for one time, but because this is a subscription it simply costs too much for something that desktop users get to buy for one time. A lot of people love clip studio paint, including myself, and the biggest dealbreaker for a lot of us is the subscription service plus the inability to use already paid desktop version on the iPad. Please, let us use this amazing app without having to pay way more than other versions of the same program.

Plz read. I really love how good this app is, but, i spent 3 hours on an animation, and it wouldn’t let me save it to photos without paying! I find this extremely annoying since now i have to pay, and its not even a one time thing! It’s every month! Developers, can you pease change this, thank you for reading.

Confusing. It’s quite confusing, if I’m being honest. The way the tools are lined up and the fact that none of them are labeled and they’re all in their own different places, like having the pen and pencil separate from one another is quite strange to me ( as in you could have a pencil brush with the pen). I don’t want to watch a million tutorials as soon as I get into an app. Not only that but not being able to save your work without subscribing is quite annoying, and you can barely access anything when you don’t have a subscription. It would be much easier if you just had to pay for the app itself instead of a subscription. I have a feeling a lot more people would use it and people would also probably use it more if it was just simpler and Clearer on how to use it, but until these problems are fixed, I think I’ll stick to procreate.

great app....but. this is an amazing app that makes drawing and animating manga style art super easy. its got a host of features and it produces amazing results. the only issue i have with it is the same issue i have with so many apps on the app store..... SUBSCRIPTION'S !!!! can we please just have a once off fee? if i have a subscription for every single app i use it all adds up and could potentially cost hundreds or ever thousands of dollars a month. its a model that just seems super greedy and exploitive . come on guys... be trail blazers and sell us the app for a once off fee so we can pay and then not have to worry about deductions from our accounts every month/week

One time price please?. I would love to use this app, however I would not like to pay a monthly fee to be able to use it, but I would happily pay as much as Procreate for this app with all the features that it includes, I love the idea of 3D modeling for drawing stencils and animations would be an amazing tool for the same app, as I was saying would rather have this as a one time payment, you could make millions! From Wil :)

Great app, but needs outright price option. I’m going to agree with the last reviewer - I thoroughly enjoy Clip Studio Paint over pretty much all the drawing apps on here and would happily pay the desktop price if it meant I could keep it outright. But while the subscription model may suit others, it’s a bit of a dealbreaker for me, sorry.

really great. I own the desktop version although I hardly use it as I have another preferred program. I thought the app would be a very simplified version of it but gosh they somehow managed to pretty much port over the entire thing! I can make full illustrations on the go or lying in bed I’m really happy with it. The brushes are really nice, I think I’m more likely to use my desktop version too now that I’ve properly tried it here. I got clip because I didn’t like the feel of procreate I would have liked to buy the app for a flat price but I think the yearly subscription is super reasonable, I would have no problem paying it.

Unbelievably powerful on iPad. I thought Procreate was the be all and end all. Now with CSP, I’m totally amazed at what my iPad Pro can do. Shake off the strange price tag for now, start the 6 month trial and be amazed. This apps rating is much too low for how awesome it is. Keep up the good work CSP programmers, you rule!

Apple pen doesn’t work. My Apple pen was working and I was doing a random sketch but when I went out of the app my process didn’t save. It’s not fair that u have to pay to save your artwork. Also when I plugged my Apple pen in my iPad Pro for a couple seconds I used a thick brush with full ocopacity and when I press down nothing happened though before it was working.

Another Subscription App. I use Clip Studio on my Mac and was happy to pay a full price for that as it is great drawing software. But no way will I pay a subscription for the iPad app. Would go gladly pay an outright price as I’ve played around with it and it is rather good. I am a designer and am fed up with the whole subscription deal as many others are. Would be happy to give a 5 star rating when and if that happens . . .?

One time price please!. Everything about this app is great, and I would gladly pay the full price as the PC version. However the subscription price is a bit high for a long time use. Why isn’t there an option for one time payment for iPad?

Subscription. I would’ve been fine paying for it if it was a one time payment. But your asking for a subscription in order to use it on iPad. This is absolutely unacceptable. What makes the windows and Mac versions different why are those a one time payment.

Almost perfect program for tattooists. This app/program is almost perfect for tattooists to use for design and stencil preparation, the only things it’s missing for me is an easy way to curve text like photoshop allows, also it would be nice to have the ability to draw a line and have it auto smooth with the ability to drag it to an alternative angle/shape like procreate does and finally if the artistic filter was a little more intuitive to help create outline around pictures it would save a lot of time making stencils.

How Good is that app. It’s just the perfect app for people who have some secails and they want to show it therefore it includes a-lot of thing there is not many difference between that app and procreate so I really like it and i hope everyone like it as me Five stars

On the way but still not good enough for a subscription service. I use and adore the desktop version of CSP, but as a tablet app it is terrible. The UI is clunky and confusing on all but the biggest screens, so I would only use it for minor touch-ups rather than as my main drawing program like I used to. I love desktop CSP, but this needs to be adapted for a mobile device rather than trying to cram the PC interface into a tablet screen.

Subscription Hell. An otherwise great looking app is destroyed by the greed of yet another subscription. If I had to pay subscriptions for all my apps I would be paying hundreds of dollars a week. It is not reasonable or possible. I would happily pay $100 for this app if I had the option of a one-off purchase, but because there is only a choice of a subscription, and you have to sign up for the subscription before using the app, I hope they fail with this greedy money grubbing app. Shun this app. Not recommended.

Please make it a one time purchase. The app is really good. For a transfer from computer to iPad, its almost miraculous. Nevertheless, I cannot truly see how this can measure up to procreate for the vast majority of people, especially with its subscription based price tag. I’m not saying that they should suddenly price this at $14 (same as procreate) because its functions, community and overall UI are just so much more extensive and pliable, but what I am saying is that to make it an expensive subscription automatically alienates those who already have a one-time purchase elsewhere (macOS, Windows etc.), and its ability to compete against procreate, essentially leaving only a small pool of people that it appeals to. Please make it a one-time-purchase, or, at the very least, drastically decrease the price tag. Otherwise, what is an incredibly great art app is overshadowed by everything else, leaving its amazing functions and utility to rot in the dark.

Not good for beginners. If your a beginner drawer then I recommend starting with something else, especially if your a animator. I tried millions of tutorials but it was extremely difficult. But if your good with animating/drawing I highly recommend this.

Uhhhhhhhg!. So I just made a drawing that I am soooo proud of BUT I went to save it and turns out you can’t WITHOUT paying and I am not paying! And I learned the hard why that you can’t even LOOK at it if you don’t save it and you can’t save it on less you pay for it. So this app WOULD get 4 stars IF you could save it without paying for it.

I like it but I don’t really know how to use it. I loooovvve to draw but I’m not used to this app It’s fun but there are som issues, but besides that it pretty good 🙂

I am furious.. I was drawing something for an entire 5 days, I put so much work into this and was promising my friends I would show it to them. This stupid godforsaken application deleted my entire drawing. I closed the app, reopened it (this has never happened before) and the entire drawing was gone. Not a bit of it left. I have an EX subscription, I checked Clip Studio, I checked the “recents” tab, nothing. Nothing at all. I am absolutely furious and hurt right now.

Seriously?!. After having bought the full version for my PC, I now have to pay for it MONTHLY to get it on my iPad?! That's just the worst thing, haven't we paid enough already?! Just go buy Procreate instead!

Subscription price is ridiculous. I'd love to use CSP on my ipad but the subscription model is ridiculous. if it were a one time price i'd consider it, but the ipad CSP is clunky and unsuitable for the older Ipads. It's much easier and feels better to buy the desktop version for one price and buy a 300 dollar display tablet.

I hoped.. I had hoped that I could bring in the 3D model. I’m using an iPad and I failed to bring up the model, there was no option I could find that would let me use the model. The controls were fairly small and I had a tough time seeing them. It would be fantastic if I could have help figuring out how to bring the 3D model up, since all the Youtube videos were not helpful. Thank you.

The app shuts down whenever it has “news”. Basically title. I’m using a subscription on iPad, and every time Clip Studio Paint has “news” to share, the whole app freezes up and it shuts down mid progress…. it happens often enough that this problem alone warrants just two stars even though the rest of the app is really good. Please fix…

Buy procreate. Was excited due to how popular the app is, but seeing how dissatisfied people are in those rates, and how ridiculously pricey it is, not even going to give it a try. Going to stick to good old procreate 😌

While the subscription may be pricy so far I feel it is worth it. I use EX version for comic creation and general illustration and I’ve been using clip studio for almost 10 years and I feel that the features and ease of use have justified the price for me.

WHY IS IT DRAWING WHEN IM NOT TOUCHING THE SCREEN. okay this is making me LOSE IT. I was completing a drawing of a flower spider, then I went to go get a snack. I ate my snack and came back to……… 13 DOTS ON MY DRAWING 2 GIGANTIC BLACK LINES OVER IT AND A BUNCH OF SCRIBBLES. AND IT WAS STILL PUTTING SCRIBBLES ON MY DRAWING WHEN I CAME BACK. I TRIED TO HIT THE UNDO BUTTON AND THEN IT DELETED EVERYTHING ON LAYER 2. I don’t recommend this to true artists who make money off this. You can have a good pic, go away for like a minute then come back to CHAOS on your PICTURE. Don’t get this.

Utterly disappointing. I love CPS. I use it all the time on my laptop. On the IPad, however it’s terrible. I made a one time purchase for my account on the laptop, but I apparently need ANOTHER cps subscription just for this device. I personally find it disrespectful to your users that they have to pay twice for the same thing, on the same account.

Some bugs in V3.0. Not a fan of the subscription model… and the "upgrade path" for v1.0 users to migrate to 3.0 (but 2.0 then buy 3.0) feels unfair to existing users. That aside, v3.0 doesn’t work with my Huion Keydial! I have shortcuts like command + Z and command +Y and they no longer work (although they were working fine in V2)! CSP 3.0 is recognizing the shortcut as just Z and just Y so unfortunately I am stuck with using my Apple pencil and tapping to change tools until it gets fixed, as downgrading is not an option.

Disappointed long time CSP customer. Backstory: I’m a full time artist who uses CSP on the pc/Mac and I have been using the program for a few years now. You can imagine my excitement When CSP announced their new app. I have been using Procreate up until now. I bought my iPad last year, the storage is 1/4 full. I was forced to update my iPad cause I know Apple’s company functions heavily due to planned obsolescence and cycling out their products with all the updates. Issue #1: The payment, paying that much monthly makes me uncomfortable. It would be much better to just make one bulk payment. Issue #2: Is the fact that it takes 4 minutes for the app to open, I am stuck at the opening screen waiting and I’m afraid of closing it down because of this. Issue #3: When I finally get the app open it either crashes or I can’t touch any of the buttons or anything. I once was able to rotate the page but it was very jittery. I would suggest that until CSP fixes these issues please avoid updating your tablet. Get Procreate instead which is run by a small company of people who really seem to care about the customer, it’s a one time purchase as well. I hope this gets fixed ASAP but either way the disappointment lingers.

I already payed!. So I bought clip studio EX on my computer a while ago, and I have a username and stuff but for some reason it’s not transferring over, Is it supposed to? And I’ve looked everywhere on how to get a license but there’s nothing! Apparently I was supposed to get it but I didn’t??? I’m just so confused….

Awesome but subscription. Subscription makes this not a long term program.

Lag. It’s a little bit lagging when I try to draw a line fix please and I’ll give 6 stars

Amazing. This app is amazing the one thing is I’m probably going to need to get a drawing tablet if I want to us this but 5 stars

Annoying. Everything’s great aside from the fact that I can’t use the manage works tab. I’ve tried everything but my works do not display at all, I don’t have the folder and the common solutions aren’t working.

Nothing works. Nothings works I draw to draw something and nothing happens I think we should have instructions and guides and helpers and I hate this

Love CSP. Ui is a little clunky on ipad, yes, and Simple Mode leaves too many essential functions out. Brushes lag a bit and I do not know why Celsys doesn’t utilise the GPU to accelerate brush performance. But with all that said, I love this app to bits. Nothing beats it, plain and simple. Procreate is excellent but the painting engine isn’t as buttery and good, and it doesn’t have as many features. Infinite Painter is also excellent but a bit too buggy for a mainstay/ workhorse. Clip Studio is the perfect all rounder, and honestly I’ve yet to come across an app I prefer for professional illustration and concept art. Even Photoshop isn’t as fun and creation- focussed as CSP. Love the additions they’ve added- the real pigment blending and the 3d model stuff. Love that they listened to their customers and ditched AI, unlike Adobe. Love that they’re constantly innovating and improving, unlike Corel Painter and Infinite Painter. Love that it’s available across all platforms, and the subscription price is so, so worth it.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY $11.99 JUST TO DRAW?.!,. WHYYYY

My fav drawing app. Once I learned how to use clip studio, I really can’t go back to using any other software. I find it to be very versatile and easy to customize to suit my needs.

The worst sign in/up experience. I’ve never had to spend so much time to sign up for a company’s app before. It took at least 20 photo identification of objects followed by a slow sign up with my email. Then, the three month is only when you agree to a paid plan. It took forever to sign up for a 30 day full use. Everything you do has to go back to their server which takes a long time… very antiquated. I have high speed WiFi. Horrible app look for 2023. Every click to anything required pulls you to a dialogue window to connect to their server.

My go to drawing app.. Ive been using this product since it was called Manga Studio, I love that its got the tools to create illustration and manga & even animation, also the assets store. Not a huge fan of the subscription model but at least there’s still the option for one time licence on pc. As long as it stays cheaper than photoshop I’ll probably continue using this as my main drawing program.

Love it!. This is a really nice paint app, but you need to know the basics

Prices are insulting.. If you plan to use this app for more than two years, you’re being robbed. Buy the PC version for 50 bucks, or rent the app for two years for the same price.

Can’t even log in. Every time I try to log in it says I don’t have an account! I’ve made two accounts to try it out but neither worked! I don’t even get a chance to see if I enjoy the app.

So easy to use without paying. So paying for it is annoying but it’s great even tho I am like broke I can still save it without paying by like screen shooting it and then check my cams so no worry tho I wish it was as good cause well it’s not as good as the other drawing apps I have but really good

Stupid app just wasted my time. I just start to draw and I took for hours but you have to pay to save it doesn’t make sense boy

DRM gone crazy. Hate that it constantly thinks I am trying to steal it. I pay for it monthly and I still have to verify its license when it’s been offline for a few days. I imagine my surprise taking my iPad with me on a camping trip for 3 days so I could draw out in nature, and clip studio wouldn’t let me use it because I can’t connect to the internet. I should get refunded for every day I can’t get it verified so I’m at least not wasting my money

HATE THIS BUG. WHENEVER I GO IN A ANIMATION IT CRASHES EVERYTIME I JUST LOST DAYS OF HARD WORK AND I HATE IT!!!😡😡😡😡😡

Very fun to use. After watching many youtube tutorials, using CSP became quite fun to use. I still have a lot more to learn about all of its features, but I think that is a good point.

It won’t let me save!!. I drew an anime character i like the other day and yesterday when i logged back in IT WASN’T THERE!!!!! 😡

Stupid. If you have the money for this just get procreate instead

Best app for illustrations; PC & IOS. No other application stands a chance against CSP, I’ve been using it for 4 years and it’s by far the best one on the market. As a direct competitor for PS this is such an easy to learn quality of life program. It comes with built in 3D models to reference and an entire library full of community made brushes, models, and other. To say this program accelerated my artist is journey would be an understatement, and although I’m against monthly payments, I’d say it’s worth every penny to have both on the go and stationary at my computer.

beats the competition on ipad. At a time where Adobe thinks that tablets are mere toys and not workstations to be taken seriously, Photoshop is not at all a serious app on the Apple store. Procreate is great but not for editing and exporting professional work to clients. Clip Studio’s app is basically their full desktop version, on your ipad. It’s very complete and can be your main app for working from an ipad pro. You can even customize it to match your photoshop settings and hotkeys, import PSD documents, import your Photoshop brushes; an easy transition.

can’t just buy the app. why is there only a subscription???

Very good :). I have csp on both my MacBook Air and ipad and it’s amazing. The UI can be kinda confusing to learn but it’s very much worth it

Subscription…. I am not paying for a subscription when I can just buy Procreate as a one-time purchase

Down with Subscription 👎👎👎. Clip Studio Paint is my go-to program on desktop with some of the best tools and settings I’ve ever used. So what a slap in the face that they don’t have the same options to buy a license for iPad. I would switch in an instant if I could use any of the multiple ones I’ve already paid for. Very scummy to have it be sub based especially with what they tried to pull last year. Guess I’m stuck with procreate 🙄

Best drawing app. The integration of vector lines is everything

cant save 😃. Yeah uh so...why do we need to pay to save our drawings? why cant it be free? literally whenever i need to save a drawing i have no choice but to screenshot it and *sigh* its taking up my storage😔, the app itself is great and amazing but the fact that you cant save your drawings without paying makes me wanna eat a brick hmmm maybe you should make it so that you can save for FREE <3

Hi. Ugh I really like this app but like I don’t really have job because I’m to young and I tried the 3 month and it’s really good and I see artist use it and I loved it not laggy and stuff like procreate when you voom in it has like the sqaure things and I don’t really like it, and the ibis paint is just so laggy and when I brush it makes no smooth lines but this app was really good. but the thing is you got to pay for monthly or stuff. And I don’t think my parents will let me get the 270.00 for a app or monthly 😭. I want to become a webtoon artist ahhhhhhhh I wanna improve art by having a good app to draw like every time i see a art video there using clip studio or ibisPaint and ibisPaint is so laggy I don’t know maybe it just my iPad. Ps: I’m not making fun of procreate or ibisPaint there good apps but I want a app that will be more work smart not hard heh

SO frustrated!!. Have unsubscribed for the following reasons: 1) There is no automatic backup and restore feature. Just lost 4+ hours of work I was trying to finish for a person who is on their deathbed because this program crashed. THANKS SO MUCH CLIP STUDIO. 2) If for some reason you’re not signed into the app store, the software doesn’t work properly?! 3) Somewhat buggy. It stalls and crashes. 4) Has a stupid subscription pricing model. 5) File management is a mess. Until you get rid of the subscription plan so that this software WORKS even if you’re signed out of apple ID, I will not resubscribe. You can charge $300 for EX and I’ll pay for it just so long as I don’t have to deal with the annoying app store subscription pop-ups and all the log-in crap. Until then, I’ll use Astropad.

monthly subscription w/o the option to purchase outright. ive tried to get used to the different features and get more familiar with the program but i aint paying monthly for things i dont know how to use or if id even use those features. regardless paying for a monthly sub when other apps have many of the same features and capabilities without the need to pay monthly to use them in addition to being updated regularly and having new tools/features added.

Subscriptions need to stop!!. My title says it all. I can understand why developers love the subscription model but for users it’s bloody awful and should be banned.

Annoying. Unsubbing. Not worth the sub and I’ve been subbed for two years now.

Procreate Is Better. This App Is Not So Bad But Procreate Is Just BETTER.

Needs no timeline frame limit. I tried to put 210 frames for my animation timeline but always you say “exceeds limit” and put 24 frames. THAT’S LESS THAN 1 SECOND FOR A SAGO MINI MOVIE BECAUSE NORMAL FRAMES PER SECOND FOR SAGO MINI MOVIES ARE 42 FRAMES PER SECOND. If you make the maximum number of frames for a timeline infinity then I will rate this app 5 stars.

Crashing Randomly. Really disappointed that as of a few updates ago, CLIP keeps crashing randomly. I've spent too much money on this app to keep losing my work and time, even with auto-save enabled, it really disrupts my flow. I will change my review once this issue is resolved. No other app on my iPad crashes as often as CLIP has in the past 6 months. A couple of times is fine, but over 10 times, randomly, without anything to provoke it, when I use this app for work as well as pay hundreds of dollars a year just to use it? So disappointed.

Definitely needs work.. This is a mess. Price is predatory. Who thinks this is worth so much more than procreate. Not this guy.

Love the program. I love this art program it would be my favorite if not for the fact you have to PAY to save your drawings.

Way too many bugs. Still getting used to it

Stuff. Overall pretty good, but every time I click border it lags.

Constantly crashing. App crashes a lot

Brushes. I don’t understand how the brush mechanics are so amazing, but I’m not complaining :D

Great!. I enjoy using this program! The app is easy to navigate and the tutorials are helpful.

Money. I like the game a lot but I hate when you have to pay even if your a kid that loves art. You can only have it for free for 3 months only I would say 4 stars out of 5

decent app. it’s a decent app overall but has deleted my artworks on multiple occasions even though they’ve been backed up. never deleted an app so fast in my whole life

Mostly ok. All good, but it keeps resetting without permission. It would be fine if brought my projects back, but it turns half of them of.

Absolute Garbage. The app is laggy, lacks featues you would expect for the price they make you pay. The price is also crazy for a drawing app. Just get Procreate. Clip Studio, delete your app. ETA: They're deleting bad reviews. There is no way that in 4 days they jumped from almost being 2 stars to being just under 5.

BAD FOR IPADS. I wasn’t able to use the app on the iPad every time I switched the tools it wouldn’t let me get the brush again and sometimes it even switched it self it’s very confusing for kids and we couldn’t even start to draw we JUST got it and wouldn’t work how it’s supposed to PLS DONT DOWNLOAD ON IPADS

Saving. The problem I have with this is that I can’t save on EX. Honestly, I don’t think it’s fair because I don’t know how to sign up for PRO.

No dark mode. New update has taken away dark mode, horrible design choice.

Crashing. It crashes when I use layer modes like add

The best game ever!. So first of all, I love this game because... Drum roll pleaseeeeee. It haves the best things ever like whatt!!!!!! From ur num one fan!!!!!!

So.. I heard the app is good but I’m very confused about it, isn’t there a less new version where you don’t have to pay?

just sell a permanent license. would be 5 star if I could just buy it instead of renting access to my own work from a perpetual wallet parasite

License doesn't carry over??. Why on earth does my paid license for my PC not carry over to the iPad version? I'm not paying for the same application twice just to use it on a different screen... ridiculous...

Crashes every 5 minutes. I have to save constantly since the app just randomly closes and deletes my progress, incredibly irritating

Great App (If only it let me save my work). The app itself seems amazing. All the features are nice and the layout is cool. But I find it ridiculous that I can’t save my artwork. I seriously have to pay for such a common feature in basically all the drawing apps? Idk why they made this choice, but I find it silly.

It’s great! But…. I try to sign up for the license and the email won’t go through. Otherwise, it’s great!

Didn’t like the monthly payment. As soon I saw a message about a monthly payment… I uninstalled the app in a sec. If it was a 1 permanent payment time I’d recommend it but as now no I don’t recommend this app.

Let me give a one time payment. I hate the subscription model just let me pay like fifty bucks the once you pricks

Best tool for making comics!. I absolutely love this program. Well worth the subscription with all its tools and resources.

Love it, but I can never sign in!. This is amazing, but no matter how many times I receive the email, it never lets me proceed to step 3. App makers, PLEASE FIX THIS.

Good. Very good but I wish there was a permanent version on mobile/ipad.

Need changes. So I downloaded this app because I saw YouTubers drawing in the app and then I saw that I was in doodle mode like I can’t even draw a real drawing and I can’t save and I want to give this a 0 star

Qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm. I like this app but I couldn’t figure out how to import pictures or if there was a tool that worked like a compass to draw perfect circles.

Kinda done with parasitic subscription apps. Im very willing to buy software, but will not engage with subscriptions. Installed it, got the sign up message, and deleted it before the viewport finished setting up. Back to procreate

Verification?. I would love to try out this app if i could get through the endless verification process.

Nice but one problem…. Kay so I’m’ gonna just cut to the chase the app is amazing but it takes up so much of my memory on my iPad so IPad people please, please be careful but other than that the app is so AMAZING.

It’s good.. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy this app, it’s made such a difference in making art.

Great App. This is a great app, but it is a subscription. If you like the brush engine though, I also recommend art set 4

Go back to one time payments. Ridiculous to switch to a subscription set up just to use on an iPad. The software is phenomenal but having to pay a monthly fee just to use it is insane. Please please go back to one time license payments

Amazing. Best art program I've ever used

Too complicated and confusing. Theres just too many tools

I dont really like it.. SO basically, i was trying to draw and it kept crashing and freezing, and it didn’t save my drawing so i had to start over 5 TIMES, i just, I don’t get it

This is bad. The app did not let me use the 3D modeling, and when I wanted to get rid of it, I couldn’t delete the app?? I hate this thing.

best drawing app. literally my only complaint is that i can’t bind pencil double tap to a keyboard press so i can easily switch between drawing with main color and transparency. Add that and its perfect

I LOVE CSP. My favorite app, happily paying 5$ every month knowing I’m getting the bestest experience ☺️

Worth every penny. Gets better with every update. Photoshop, eat your heart out.

The white interface is blinding. I really have no idea how were they abled to massage such an oversight, is like so out of place. I'll change my review when they fix it

Files. I'm generally a huge fan of this app, but the new menu desperately needs a dark mode it's blinding. Also move the files back into the actual files app not into the actual app, or let us choose

I wasted so much time. I made an account for a free 3 month sign up and it didn’t work

Love the App!. I use it almost daily on my iPad Pro, and love the feeling of the brushes. This and (the other really popular drawing app on ipad) are my favorite art apps to use for artwork.

0. If I could rate this zero stars I would. Ive had so many issues with this app since they made new versions. Pathetic.

Not compatible with perpetual license. I paid for the premium license, and yet I cannot use it on my iPad. A real disservice to people who use the product.

Why. It Why I’m a freakin minor trying to use this app, and it asks me to pay. I think, ok, that’s not too bad. Then I learn it’s a ONE TIME SUBSCRIPTION. FOR ONLY THREE MONTHS. WHY? You could restrict a few options and people can only get those options through a subscription, or something else. But why. Just let me use this app without crying, for frick’s sake.

Clip Studio. This is a great app for illustrators. A better price than some of the more expensive options and easy to use.
