Incredibly helpful, not very intuitive. I use this program so I can listen to pdf versions of my school books. It saves so much time I wouldn’t be able to do as well without it. It’s handy being able to wash dishes out mow the lawn while basically going thorough college. However it reads tables down which makes the information nearly indecipherable and it mispronounces many simple words so I have to use context a little more to understand what the program is speaking. I’ll keep using it because I need it but it could definitely use an upgrade. Thanks for a great product!

Dope. I appreciate the cost, and it’s usable even without purchase. I just needed to listen to textbooks on a plane. Don’t waste your money on expensive read aloud apps, this guy is great.

The app stop to function. Appear in my movil but do not open property the app.. In the beginning was extraordinary... y pay for the app... because finally find a app that read to me and my students books and document in PDF. Super easy to up books and documents. but recently the app stop functioning. appear in my phone but do not function. I feel a freaks to delete it bacause Need to pay again to download. I went to the web site for find “support services” but I never find it.. isn’t in a visible place. This app have potential, especially for student with reading disabilities; but I feel little disappointed with the app...😢

Ineffective and incomplete. I bought this after the VERY brief trial reading, only to learn that it loses my place in my reading if it is paused for more than five minutes. Then, even though it had been able to read several pages of a PDF, it suddenly started giving me “no text detected” errors. I’ve spent more time navigating the glitches than actually listening to the text. Plus there is no way to mark or save a spot or take notes. Waste of money if you’re trying to use it for academic things like me.

It’s “Ok”. There’s still some “kinks” that need to be worked out. For the price I think it’s reasonable and get the job done. Overall I couldn’t say I’m impressed. If anything it’s basically “settling” since there aren’t many options out there and the ones that do exist charge a larger price (and don’t really do an equally or better job than this).

Buggy. Don’t pay for it! It’s super buggy. I paid for it and wish I hadn’t. You can’t pause and play. The play feature takes over. You can’t go to a different chapters the app goes where it wants in the book.

Crappy App. This junky thing won’t even let me upload my own PDFs from the cloud. I deleted the one free one it gave me because I had no use for it. But now I quite literally can’t do anything on it. Worst waste of time ever!

App support link is dead. Very useful for listening to articles for grad school. Wanted to buy pro version to avoid long video adds. Pro version link brought me to a voice upgrade page which looked like a pro language preference. So, bought another voice but still dealing with adds. Now can’t contact support to correct. Moving on to alternate option, I guess.

Annoying app. Skipping around a document is virtually impossible. Very annoying that I can move forward a few pages or easily go back and repeat a page. Needs improvement.

Could not trial. I have a college book in pdf format and unfortunately didn’t find out the app would not read it until I paid the $4.99 for it. The trial was not a trial. It downloaded my PDF but would not attempt to read it until I paid.

Needs improvement. Paid for the App. It has started to shut down each time it is opened. At this point, I cannot even use the app. The App Support links is no help. The link takes you to a website that tries to sell you another app.

Not worth the time to download.. This is the most horrible reader. Computer generated voices that are so hideous to listen to.

Don’t waste your time or money. This app is so frustrating. It at time decides when it wants to open and work. I keep having to try to “open” it. It’s annoying because I use this for profesional purpose. Try a different app. It was a waste of my money.

For a free version it’s great. A few points that I don’t like in it: - Doesn’t allow to use waze at the same time, even with waze’s voice command turned off. - you can’t point in the page where to read. It also doesn’t show in which part of the page it is. - It has a few mistakes. For exemple, it reads “we’re” like “W E re”.

Just a trial. Not everyone wants to pay money for an app and this one you can pay to have. Except the adds are still there and the trial is very short. Would not recommend

After in app purchase, still asking to purchase again. UPDATE 20 May 2022 I had to ask for a refund as no one has gotten back to me why after payment, I am still asked to subscribe when i had already subscribed. =========== I just purchased a subscription for English UK but each time i try to continue, app asks again to make a purchase. Already Paid and ?. Had already paid fir this app and every time I open it they want me to buy it again! Only user on this app and cannot use it as I had already paid for it! Shame on your software collection system! Shane on Apple on putting it in their store!

Too nah ads. The fact that you have to watch an ad to read the next page is ridiculous !

Ads in free version not worth the download. I tried using but it had me watch ads rvery step while it loaded pdf i guess. All i saw was the read line loading something but i watched 8 ads before it got to the end of loading. After it loaded, it started over at beginning of red line! Didnt even read anything outloud yet! I removed it

The app keeps crashing. Team should fix this major tech issue.

Very nice TTS. This app provides tactical TTS with many voices and languages to choose from. It seems valuable for translation (does it?). I say this because the foreign voices seem to translate from English to other languages (like to Spanish). I do use this app and enjoy the increased reading speeds for reading books and general amusement. The app starts at the point that reading stopped or selected location/page. Most all of the voices read very naturally and with good pronunciation. Thanks so much.

Deceptive Advertising. Downloaded the app because it’s free and was able to hear a few pages before it stopped working and a screen came up requiring a purchase to continue.

Paid version doesn’t work. Wish I could get my money back.. trial works but not the paid version don’t waste your money

Annoyed. I wish these companies would just give you the price upfront. This is a great trial which last for about 3 minutes of reading.

Just a trial. I can't see where this is stated in the description, but please note this is VERY brief trial reading followed by a prompt to buy the full app for $6. Frustrating not it due to the lack of transparency regarding this, but also because the app still has ads and the trial isn't very impressive: it's a bare minimum text-to-voice reader that barrels through punctuation and requires focus to understand. Cannot recommend.

The ads are extremely overwhelming. The app is not free if you don’t buy it pauses every few minutes to play a long add that you cannot skip it seems to read pdf books but just be prepared to purchase for this to make sense.

It actually works. I have bought several apps that were riddled with issues and poor CS. This one works and does a great job

Misleading. Was great until about 15-20 pages in it makes you pay 5$ to continue.

Notice a pattern?. All but one written review has given this app one star... The only one higher? Two stars. Must be bots that are voting five star for this app, because exactly zero customers have written anything good about this one. Mostly useless app since it skips pages and doesn’t let you pause or pick where you want it to read. This app is a terrible waste of money. Apple, please kill this one off.

App Crashing. As I try to open the app It just crashes. Couldn’t find a support email. I have the paid version, I want to ask for my money back.

It was trash. I hated it.. Tried to use this to listen to my college text while multitasking thinking I had found a gem. The app read four sentences then asked me to watch an ad. Fine. But then it tried to force me to watch ad after ad after ad. Even after I watched the ads and tried to go back to reading it wouldn’t work. Just asked me to watch yet another ad. Never got to use it to read more than half a paragraph. Supes disappointed.

One star because I can’t give less. I bought the app to read PDF’s for school. It could only read less than 25% of the files I tried, and most of them the audio was unintelligible. That is one of multiple problems. Customer service only emailed to tell me that my PDF was not the correct file format (?) and never did anything to resolve the issues.

Constantly Crashes. I used the free trial and it worked well for a while. I needed to listen to a large document so I decided to buy the full version so I wasn’t limited in document size. Now every time I try to use the app it just crashes. Waste of money.

Missing features and has annoying ads. It is an OK app — I paid for the full app but it still has annoying ad/commercials and also the reading speed cannot be adjusted.

Informative yet lacking in user-friendliness.. In general, it works well; it allows multitasking while listening. Improvement suggestions include preventing the system from returning to the first page and losing track after a simple phone check or finger movement. It would be beneficial if it asked for confirmation before resetting the page. Additionally, enabling paragraph highlighting would be a great feature.

Really bad app. After I pay to unlock the app I was not able to continue reading more than 5 pages. This guys are burglars. Don’t buy this product.

Save Time and Learn More. So much time saved by listening to required books, articles, etc. for courses during drive and workout times.

???. keeps stopping when I turn off my iPad when I’m near the end of my file. And right now it doesn’t work on my phone or ipad any more. The file just closes down every time I tap on it. Please fix this!

It’s not actually free.. You download the free app, then it makes you pay for each language you want to use just for it to sound like a robot. I’d give it no stars if I could. Ridiculous.

Not worth it. The free version is very deficient, does not recognize pdf text that are recognized when I use a browser!

It’s a good free option, download it. I think this is a great free option! However, it would be nice if I could pick the place for it to start. Also, the highlighting doesn’t always work on the PDF.

Perfectly reads PDFs to me. When I realized I could save some time having my phone read PDF files I needed to review weekly to me (they are unreadable because the screen is too small), I searched and found this program immediately. All I can say is, it’s nearly perfect: full control over voice and speed, it highlights the word as it reads it, making it easy to follow along, and doesn’t halt for no reason like the built in iPhone reading functionality does. Two improves might be, a) to allow me to read websites or sources not stored locally or in iCloud/Dropbox, and b) try to improve the pauses. The iOS voice reading system is kind of dumb, thinking that the period in 3.14 is a period in a sentence and requires a pause, and line feeds (which signify a new section in the text) should certainly get a pause as they are not part of the sentence in the line above. But very good work. Best of all it’s a one-time purchase, not an ongoing subscription.

The voice. It works but there should an option to change the voice.

Pop ups. I loved the basic version until recently. It now won’t let me use it unless I pay for other languages. $8.99. I close the ad and it won’t let me continue not hear any of my own pdf files.

Review. This product is ok but falls flat in some key areas. It would be much easier to use if the user could highlight the word that the app should begin reading. Also, the app needs to be adjusted to finish reading the text on a page before reading the boxes, figures, graphs, etc. this would allow much easier understanding of the material being read.

Waste of money. There are a lot of issues with this app. First issue is that it inconsistently works, meaning the app simply will not function often. It doesn’t allow you to hold your place and provide different widows/tabs for download. I feel like I should get a refund for how poorly this app has worked. It often doesn’t start at the top of a page when you skip to a new page.

Not worth it.. Won’t even let you listen unless you have premium not worth the ridiculous price.

Limited functionality. Please add ability to select on the page exactly where to start reading. Currently, I have to listen to a whole page from the beginning of that page. And I’m not able to simply skip to the paragraph or section of interest.

Robotic voice with no inflection. Hard to comprehend what you’re listening to when the voice is totally robotic and monotone.

Complain. I just bougth the PDF Voice Reader. It said that it is downloaded but it can't be oppened on my MacBook Air. I don't have an iPhone nor Ipad I just have a Mac. Please help me! I have a lot to read for my assignments.

Not worth it. I paid for the full version. Was good while it lasted, but after a while they’ll ask to have access to you data. If you refuse, the app crashes. Don’t waist your money.

Pretty decent. I like the speed of reading feature. This really needs automatic pause feature after period, and number. Without this 1 Hello sounds like onehello. Also needs a pause after each line.

Straight Garbage. Pop up after pop up after pop up after pop up after pop up..... you are lucky if you can get it to read two words in a row before there is.....a pop up.

Voice is very computer sounding. Nothing like apples voice speak.

Cuánto intentas volver a poner una hoja a la vez te pide compres la versión completa para que no allá pausas, eso no me da confianza así que no sé cómo esté dicha versión... me dejó mucho que desear.

Problems. The app has major problems with the letter F. It cannot pronounce it. It skips it and spells out the rest of the word. When it reads a PDF, it stops reading a page early. It arbitrarily says "exclamation point" where there aren't exclamation points. It isn't intuitive to English to know the differences in words like "live." These are just some of its errors one notices immediately.

How Do I Even Know if it Works. This @&$%* thing lets you download for free, waste time doing so then won’t read a word without giving them 5 bucks. I hate apps that say they are free and waste my time. I certainly hope I am wrong.

I wish I could get my money back. The trial version worked fine. Not perfect, but descent enough I wanted to keep using it. But after paying it's like something happened. It won't even pronounce common words correctly. So you can't understand. Most of the words are not being pronounced correctly. I wish I could get my money back. disappointed

Lots of potential but needs major work on page navigation during active PDF to voice. The app has nearly everything you’d want! BUT the developers need (1) to fix 3 consistent bugs and (2) add a function or two. - This app lacks arrows indicating page ‘back’ and ‘forward’ (allowing the reader to skip to the next page or go back a page at a time). In place of arrows, it allows readers to *attempt* to navigate to the next or previous pages *while* the voice is reading the document by scrolling back or forward, but this function is laden with bugs. — Glitch #1: scrolling FORWARD to next page *while* listening to the document being read ALWAYS skips *2 pages* forward, which makes you have to stop the voice and navigate back then start again. — Glitch #2: attempts to scroll BACK to previous page *while* PDF voice is reading only takes you back to the top of the current page and WILL NOT take you back a page, no matter what. This is a major glitch. — Glitch #3: since these scrolling options (again, *while* listening to the voice) are consistently glitchy, to go to the desired page the user has to stop the voice function, go to thumbnail view, and select the right page. BUT ALAS, here’s the third glitch: to select the correct page via thumbnail view one had to select the page TWO pages before the desired page! One last request: It would further be extremely useful if the thumbnail view didn’t always revert back to page 1 but rather followed the current page being read. As it stands now, I could be on page 291 and wanting to go back to the beginning of that chapter, and when I choose thumbnail view to navigate to an earlier page it always begins at page 1 and I have to scroll several hundred pages forward to get to where I want to go. Every. Time.

Crashed therefore I am deleting. Seemed like a good idea but the app simply doesn't work. Downloaded it and gave it access to my gmail account..then I uploaded a pdf and it crashed right away!

Don't buy. This doesn't work!!

Not worth the $4.00 paid for pro version. There are no directions and it won't read where you want it to read. Waste of money and time spent trying to get it to work.
