Accurate and Informative. Radar is accurate. Local Weather section is a great feature.

Recent update. The update to the interface is great. New colors and forecasts. However this apps “zoom” radar and the way it showed weather warning and watches along with direction of the stronger cells was the reason I used this app (Tornado Alley) My only request would be to move the path for the zoom map closer to the front and not at the end of the menu, otherwise - awesome job. When a weather app assists in the safety of my family, this is the one!

Sooooo many ads!!. There are so many ads that it’s impossible to find the information you’re looking for without hitting an ad. i would gladly pay for the app but instead i’ll delete it and find the info on facebook. This team is good! They provide a valuable service. Too bad the ads can’t be turned off.

This is the best in TX!. I had downloaded the app just before Harvey came through, and with use of this app was able to help evacuees safely navigate their routes to shelter. This app and Waze saved people's lived as far as I'm concerned. I am so grateful for all the updates, and imagery. Keeping things current made all the difference during these last dorms and I keep recommending this app to friends and family and our guests from the Gulf.

Love the app, only one small issue that I have found. While the app is amazing overall, there is one detail that prevents me from giving a 5 star review. That issue involves notifications, specifically, the app badge. With every notification sent out, the number of notifications shown in the app badge increases. Regardless of the number of times I open the app, the app bad notification does not clear out, I am currently sitting at 27 reported notifications. There does not appear to be a way to mark these as “read”, thus, I have a perpetually increasing number of unread notifications. *EDIT* Edit to add a second issue of significance, this time, with the radar. While on my iPad Pro, the radar does not utilize the entire screen, it uses about a quarter of the screen.

A Great Resource. In severe weather speed with accuracy saves lives and puts this site at the top of my list. If you live in Texas or just love weather you want this resource. 🌪

Weather for unserved communities!. I live in a rural city located in “no man’s country”. The major news doesn’t have any information on our area. Texas Storm Chasers is an answered prayer for locations like ours! Up to the MINUTE reports for our safety and peace of mind!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Too many alerts. Who needs an alert every time there is weather somewhere in Texas. App has some good features, but overall it gets annoying. Too bad, doesn’t seem like anyone has put together a great weather app. Some good ones, but nothing great. TSC is pretty middle of the pack. Wish them luck. Hope they keep working at it.

Part time storm chaser serious weather nerd.... This app compiles a lot of weather data to push out to its Storm Chasers. It’s not a bunch of “people” doing guess work. App started working and it looks great!. Original review of mine stated the app did not work. For whatever reason, after about an hour I opened up the app and it’s working. I expect I’ll be reading a lot of good info soon!

Love Texas Storm Chasers!. I loved TSC before but now even more since they have the app! It seems that right about the time I’m thinking “What will the temp be tomorrow? What I should wear”, boom, a TSC notification comes through telling me what I need to know. I don’t ever even check my local TV station app anymore. Not only that, for work my husband travels in Oklahoma/Arkansas/Louisiana (in addition to Texas) and Texas Storm Chasers information about bad weather in those states has literally persuaded him to choose another week for his business travel. Keep up the great work, TSC!

Best. It’s the best app I have for weather for my area plus I’m able to keep up with weather where close friends and family live

Used to be clumsy but useful. Now it’s just another radar app. Before the recent update the app was able to show clouds, rain, temperature, wind direction, spinners and hail on a single app, which made the app to stand out. Now it’s just another radar app on the market. You get the same data with the built in Weather app.

Stupid ad placement. I cant scroll the page without an ad taking me to a web browser. I get ads but to place them in a manner i cant read your app is just annoying. Makes your app near unusable

Patreon Paywall ruined it.. I have used this app a lot in the past, but the new style of locking all blog posts behind a strange patreon paywall really killed it for me. I removed it and I will just use something else. It seems like a shady way of getting money from users without going through the proper Apple channels. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple removes the app from the store soon.

Review. Love the break down of what is happening in each storm cell. Amazing to see not only which town is in the storms path but you can pinpoint travel by street name(s). Real time storm chasers video puts us in the vehicle. Appreciate what you do!!

Love this app!. I have 7 weather apps. This is the 1st one I I look at when there is a risk of severe weather. These folks really know how to break it down so that I can understand what may, or may not, be a threat in my area!

Helpful real time insights. Live coverage on app has been super helpful to keep family informed during serious weather. Will use in the future and recommend to friends as well.

Lifesavers. I live in Midlothian Texas and on multiple occasions TSC has been a Godsend. For some reason it just isn’t important that the local stations cover our area during significant storms. It all started one time when our tornado sirens were going off but no one was talking about it on the news. My daughter, myself and all our pets were in our safe place. I was texting friends to see if they had heard anything and one of them told me to get on TSCs site and from that point forward I always put them on during any weather issues because there was actually a tornado in our area. Thank you TSC.

Outstanding App!. This app lets you know Exactly where the storms are. I can tell you that when the tornados were hitting Eustace and Canton there was No Doubt about their pin point locations - Great Coverage! Bless y'all for your dedication.

Excellent source. I find it quick to load and very informative. I have family all over Texas and it really keeps me in the know!

Too big for their britches. I’ve followed Texas Storm Chasers for quite a while. This new paywall that they’ve put up is ridiculous. They don’t provide any special service. If you need a good Radar App, RadarScope is worth looking at. For weather I like Fox4’s weather app. There are numerous meteorologists that you can follow for free on Facebook.

Keeps me informed. Just like the title says. I allow push notifications, so when there is a severe storm near... I always know whats going on. They update regularly and are reliable.

Ads make app crap. Really like Texas Storm Chasers, but the layout with ads all over the place makes it very user unfriendly and visually pitiful. You guys need a complete revamp on your app. Not a post to ads, just learning how to set your page up to where they don’t interfere with your app. App data should be the primary content on the page and advertisements should be non-intrusive and small scale.

Closest thing to chasing a storm!!!. This app is awesome!!! I'm obsessed with thunderstorms and would love to be a storm chaser but, only as a hobby right now. They have a LIVE stream of storm chases, plus... You can find out all about the watches and warnings in your area since they update the info so often!!! EXCELLENT app. Love it so much. 👏🏼😊🌪

Be very careful. I downloaded the app and instead of the weather I “subscribed” to at least 80 unwanted newsletters, pushed notification sites, and other completely useless crap sites that I do not want and would NEVER even look at. Never download anything from these folks or this site.

Great app!. This is a great app and they are always updating need to know information. We're sitting in the middle of a hurricane and am thankful for apps like this one, and those who run it. Their FB/Twitter feed is also top notch.

Severe Weather. Absolutely love this group of professionals. I’m a new member still learning. Two days after I joined I fell and broke both ankles so I’m behind on the learning curve. Out of hospital today and ready to chase again. Safety first!🙏

UI Needs Help. This app serves its purpose but not without navigation hiccups. Often times I have a hard time finding what I am looking for. I neglect to to use it because of this which is sad because it could be a great app and provide great information.

4 stars. I love the app and the content, I know recently there has been some work on the radar specifically on the loading of the radar. So I hope that pans out. All in all a really great weather app.

During a Tornado this was my only info. While hiding in my house in canton these guys and their Facebook page were the only news we could get. Truly a blessing

I would gladly pay for an ad-free option.. The app is very helpful and accurate. I would give it 5 stars if I could get rid of advertising. It causes the app to bog down and sometimes freeze. This creates problems with the map loading properly. When it freezes I have to restart my phone. In the future... It might be nice to have an alarm to wake me up when severe storms are about to hit.

Weather in my area where local stations fail. I love this app because I can often get weather in my area when local stations can’t keep up because I’m in a rural pocket. The app has a great user experience and easy to read colors to show me where the weather is. Notifications are easy and helpful and make the app convenient when I need it most.

Excellent App. This app gives you all of the technical data along with awesome graphics as well. Extremely well thought out App!

Paid subscription. I first in stalled this app a few weeks ago and it appeared to work like a champ. I decided to pay for the subscription to keep from getting ads. Shortly after, I started getting Page 404 errors. I reported it to the developer on two different occasions and received no response. Now the app is showing ads again. I’ve requested a full refund due to the app issues.

Radar. I live in Lubbock, but when I click on the radar it defaults to Atlanta Georgia and I have to drag the radar to West Texas. Is there a geo location button I’m not seeing on the radar screen? Also, most days the radar will not load, even on Wi-Fi.

Review. Great app. Wish there was an update to get rid of some of the lag. Maps great a lot of info. System lags when trying to click around and see what the different symbols mean.

Mary Ann. Love that I can pinpoint my house on your radar! That you have the arrows showing which way they are moving, and your future radar is so much more accurate than all the rest!

Another company selling subscriptions.. Used the free app, and I liked it, so I purchased the app. Fast forward 10 or 11 months, they’ll sell you a subscription to get rid of the ads they suddenly put all over the place. Not a great way to do business. Remember when you could just buy something and not subscribe to it? Kind of want my money back now.

My go to app for weather. Detailed analysis of the weather, no hyperbole. These folks are serious about Texas weather and it shows.

Information not updated. I was very excited about this app. Unfortunately a lot of the information is months or years old. If you tap on a link it takes you to a webpage that has a horrible ad of a very fat lady wearing panties. I am deleting the app.

Old live coverage?. I was watching a guy on Facebook this morning, Dec. 13, 2022. He suggested downloading g this app. The “live” video is from May 4, 2022. Delete this app and back to FB.

My go-to TX weather app!. Living in Texas, you're at Ma Nature's mercy. This app gives me peace of mind, because it keeps me informed & prepared. It's a must-have, go-to, if you live in the Lone Star State.

Bugs. When I click on x-day outlook it isn’t showing the detailed written reports. I click read more and it pops up for a millisecond and is gone.

Your best hope of understanding Texas weather. Love their analysis, their thoughtfulness, their assessments and predictions of the crazy weather in this vast state.

Difficult to use. I did not like this app. It kept asking me to install stuff that I had already installed. The maps never worked and now I cannot remove the garbage it had me download.

Wonderful!. I followed them on Facebook and now the app is wonderful tool!

Used to be 5 star. This app was much more appealing and a app I defaulted to before they required a Patreon account to get info on most of their articles related to weather info.

Possible security issue. Love the app. But I noticed that when you launch it the app will paste whatever is in your copy buffer. I took a screenshot of the message, it’s a system notification. Furthermore there’s no contact info to submit this information to the app developer. I’ll stick to using the website. I’ll be removing it for now.

Uses 1/4 screen on iPad.. Just started showing phone size radar map on my iPad. So far has only happened when an update pops up first. May or may not be related. Also doesn’t appear to keep map setting from session to session.

My favorite. If I could be out there in the meteorology community these are the people I’d submit my resume to.

Updated app doesn’t work. Original version worked fine but updated yesterday and now the app won’t load. The screen with the TSC logo comes up and stays up, never loads.

Perfect Weather App. I rely on TXSC for weather predictions, upcoming chase events and all around weather notifications. We the locals get it wrong TXSCs always gets it right!
