Absolutely Loving This App. Very much like it is advertised. Straight forward interface and news articles. You get to see both sides and ultimately get informed on different subjects you’d normally miss if you follow a singular news source. Easy access to past and current news and it’s free?! I truly appreciate the ongoing work being done to the app. Looking forward to continue using this as my main news source.

Best. As a an independent, this is one of the very few news organizations I watch and read. They go to great lengths to provide unbiased information or make it clear when what they’re reporting comes from biased sources. Top notch journalism!

Seriously helps filter out the bias!!. This is an excellent app and free I am happy to have found it as I used another app Ground news that is good but to get all the features you have to pay. This is the same quality with a better designed app and for free

NEWS THE U.S. NEEDS. In times of uncertainty from the loads of misinformation sold on news platforms as of lately, this is the most refreshing news app I have ever found. It's the only news platform I've ever found that lists misrepresentation and gives a percentage for which side (left or right) is under-reporting. Such an insightful app, and I recommend to anyone who truly cares about the state of the world from a non-biased AND ultimately anti-partisan perspective. Very refreshing. A sign America is headed in the right direction.

Simply great. I never leave reviews for apps but SAN is worth it. Straight Arrow News has been incredibly helpful in shifting through all the nonsense that both sides push or refuse to report on. If you consume a lot of media to understand issues from both sides, this app will dramatically cut down the time needed to do so. Incredibly helpful, no fear mongering, political angles and a strong track record of reporting facts. Highly recommended this app to anyone!

A Crucial Resource. I’ve found the Straight Arrow News app to be an incredibly helpful resource. It’s refreshing to have a news source that strives to provide the information we all need to see in an unbiased manner. One of my favorite features is the Media Miss section, which highlights the stories that left- or right-leaning media are either emphasizing or avoiding. This visual representation of media bias is invaluable in today’s polarized climate. It’s a crucial tool for anyone seeking a more balanced perspective on the news. Highly recommend!

Love Media Miss!!. LOVE the media miss feature and the middle bias rating from Ad Fontes! I’m so glad I can just read the news without having to worry about a spin on the facts.

Decent app, Superb content. The app itself functions relatively well. The interface is good looking and easy to use and navigate. I have a few hiccups every now and then. Examples: Video not playing, Video getting stuck on screen, selecting a video but a different one plays. These aren’t app breaking and usually, closing the app and re-opening will resolve the issue. The app is going to continue to improve over time. The reason I’m writing this review, is to help bring awareness to Straight Arrow News. I want this app to really rise in the algorithm to get in front of more people. The content is amazingly unbiased. It’s to the point and no fluff. Easy to digest. Gives you only the facts that are known at the time. I love you Craig Nigrelli. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before but I was motivated to with this app.

Not So Straight. Just watched an article on Straight Arrow News by a ‘Straight Arrow’ news reporter. The article and video was about the Immigration Reaching higher numbers and showed the Trump era data (through Covid) and then Biden data (after Covid). It did not reference historical trends and ‘after reviewing’ I find it is from a Right Wing think tank against immigration. No references to this from a bias perspective but indicates that SAN is not so Straight but perhaps leaning right. Poor form in my opinion. I am out.

Please fix. To the folks at SAN, Every Time I open the app's "More Stories" articles on the home page, I am met with "informative" pop-ups. I didn't need them the first time, I still don't need them after the 50th time. They are entirely unnecessary, and annoying to me, since I'd just like to get on with reading the article.

Thank you. It’s sad we live in a world where a news source like this is not a mainstay in peoples lives, where it’s not THE main place to get news. That a news source like this has to be considered an ‘alternative’ way to news. Thank you SAN for giving me the opportunity to receive the news with less anxiety and more of understanding how the world really reports.

The need. There is a need for unbiased news. Our fake news networks are forming an illiterate public that is driving our country into the ground. Although there are no assurances that SAN will be the answer to the need the effort to solve this problem is at least appreciated by all that want the best for our country.

Great coverage on SO MANY issues. This app is great because it not only provides a lot of articles on a wide range of topics, but it makes it easy for you to filter/notice bias no matter your persuasion

Great app, horrible audio. While I like the app, and I’m a great fan of SAN, there is something wrong with the audio on this app. It is too loud, even at the lowest volume setting, and any attempts to play through an external source, such as CarPlay result, in very distorted audio.

MUCH NEEDED IN TODAY’S WORLD. This app is so important. Especially after October 7th, I’ve been noticing a huge divide in how media headlines are written. These small differences have a huge effect in bias & people’s views of the world. I definitely recommend using the Media Miss graph. I love how all the articles are laid out from more conservative to liberal, & comparing rhem one by one. Definitely recommend

Still has bias or just doesn’t update. I like the idea behind the app but it doesn’t live up to it’s name. I have found many stories that they claim are covered by mostly left or mostly right sources in their media miss section that are easily found to have been covered by mainstream sources that they dont list. They either are still biased or just really stink at updating who is covering the stories after they get published. Either way it is not giving a true view of what sources are not covering particular stories.

Insightful Clarification. Honestly, this app helps me clarify my opinions. We can debate conspiracy theories endlessly, but after researching Joe Ricketts—CEO and founder, as well as a supporter of numerous charities focused on government spending and budgeting—I believe he embodies the qualities of a strong political leader. This app prioritizes truth. We need facts, as feelings are subjective and do not constitute truth.

Great Well Balanced Overview of What’s Happening. This is a fantastic news source. I was using a range of different news sites trying to get a good understanding of what’s going on. That takes a lot of effort, and I would find myself getting angry or frustrated no matter what source I used as most are so slanted—some to a ridiculous extent. I blame the news media for so much of the division we’re experiencing. Sites like this are a great step in the right direction.

Balanced news app. I recently discovered your app and I have to congratulate your team for providing one of the few balanced and unbiased source of news in this polarized world. If you want to get information rather than propagada from self-proclaimed news organizations, this is the app for you. I have a request though; for those of us that struggle with tiny fonts due to age, can you please add a setting to customize font size. I’m sure many will greatly appreciate it.

Just what we need to find real news!. Love this app!!!!! … Update: had this app for awhile now and I really enjoy it the bite size unbiased news helps em learn about all sides off the news and what side is choosing not to report on what is also interesting when certain times come. Sharing this app with everyone i know happy i found this app! The only place I’ll ever get my news.

Great App, needs Dark Mode. SAN is a great app so far. I really love all the features like the media miss. My only small gripe is that I wish it had dark mode. The white color scheme is a bit blinding at times and dark mode would let me read more stories for longer.

Amazing converted me from Ground News!. I was a longtime Ground News fan however hated constantly being pushed to pay more and more for new features. This is free and better put together. Easily my favorite news app!

Surprising. Better than I expected and very much appreciate the break down of who is reporting what and by how far left and right. Thank you I haven’t tracked much for news in a while but now I do.

It’s biased. This is not what it’s advertised. Whenever I try to search for articles of both the left and right side, I only get what the left side wrote about why the right is so bad. Any time I find an article that is negative about the left side, it won’t let me open it. Opinion pieces are supposed to be more “biased”, but everything else that is not labeled as opinion is still biased. I have a feeling this is where the left side gets most of their influence from since it’s only positive for the left and all negative for the right side. I’m deleting this app.

Ease. Of. Use!!. I can’t think of another news app that doesn’t slam you with ads, an account setup drill, and more unwanted stuff upon download. Love it! Download, allow notifications, and then you’re in…informed.

This is long overdue I haven’t seen true journalism like this outside of college in a very long time. as a veteran, I have observed that the integrity of our media has never been more under attack. What passes for journalism out there would not even pass my journalism 1 oh1 course, and I’m not exaggerating! It is so refreshing to see that there are those out there that not just realize the need for good solid journalism, but did something to bring it about. Great job keep up the excellent work.

TRUTH. Wow they actually were truthful when they said the news would be unbiased for either side! This is awesome, informative, and exemplary of how news should be delivered!

SAN IS SUPPRESSING STORIES!!!!. I got a notification from SAN early in the morning about an article about Trump suing CBS over the Harris 60 minute interview. I was still sleepy at the time so I didn’t acknowledge it. A few hours later I wake up, click on the notification banner in my phone and to my suprise, it doesn’t exist! I go to google to see what’s going on and on of course I see all the “right-wing” media outlets reported on it. What happened to “UNBIASED” new huh? SAN clearly does not live up to it name. Don’t trust SAN! As a matter of fact, don’t trust anyone! Believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear! DO YOU OWN RESEARCH MULTIPLE DIFFERENT SOURCES AND PLATFORMS!!!

Great reliable news source!. This site is really good for finding actual unbiased news! I am learning so much due to getting constant updates on current events! This is my favorite news app to date. I like how it shows a meter of other sources (both leaning liberal and conservative) and how they are covering the same topics. Very informative!

Great customizable content, great UI, and great company in general. you can customize your newsfeed to include a wide variety of topics, regardless of right left or center, you can see content from all sides but the app aims to give you an unbiased view of all news whether it’s political or not. friendly interface, you also get video summaries of articles, and there’s a tab fully devoted to showing stories that main stream outlets on each side are not reporting on!

Great insights. So glad I downloaded the app. I think I saw a reference to SAN on a Charlie Kirk video and I’m so glad I tried it. I can’t believe how much news I was missing by watching nation, local news and reading my local newspaper. I’m still going to do the things mentioned before but I’m definitely going to check SAN as well. I do t want to miss anything and SAN is a great way to catch good and MISSED news!!!

Good impartial news coverage- like it. It’s a breath of fresh air, impartial news reporting that isn’t leaning towards any side. Keep it up.

Good app. Plenty of potential, User experience needs work.. A youtubers ad read convinced me to get this for the massive underreporting that media does. Yes although there some fascinating stories theres still massive stories not showing up like Project 2025, Trumps involvement with Epstein, or even Robert F Kennedy Jr. just to name some highlights in under reported news. There needs to be a “this just in” type of feature that covers the latest in all news from all reputable sources. I get better updates on tiktok than here. The UI is built like a desktop site so good luck if you have chubby fingers. I’ve been using this for a week and I just discovered the search icon. small at the top. After initiating a search and hitting an article it takes me back to the home page instead of the search results. The search doesn’t save, despite the massive amount of unused space when you press it, retyping a subject is a constant.

amazing, although finding topics to watch could be easier. I really enjoy this app! lately I’ve been feeling like im succumbing to American idiocy when it comes to politics, and a non biased news source with succinct videos on topics im interested in definitely got me out of that slump. I will say the user interface could be a little better, but otherwise, 10/10 would recommend!

Love it. Truly unbiased news. The unbiased nature of it also makes the articles much faster to read and the information much easier to gather.

That’s a unique and interesting take on doing the news and journalism media etc.

Content is perfect, app is almost there. I have no problems with the news and the display on what medias are covering it. I do have a couple, nit-picky issues. - A dark theme would be nice - The app occasionally bugs out/freezes - The top of the display is made too bright to look at the time, so i have to exit the app to check it and anything else on the top. This is for iphone. - Add a way to sort bookmarked articles

Unbiased News and a Well-Built App. I love SAN - the articles are the most unbiased I’ve seen from any news outlet. And their “Media Miss” is such a good idea! The app is well-built and easy to use. Can’t ask for anything else!

Best News App I’ve seen. On occasion I see SAN leave out context (so don’t let this be your only source of news), but overall this is a very objective and informative news app with amazing user interface. It shows both sides of the news media and shows both objective reporting articles as well as opinion articles.

News Facts. This app is great for different sides of news stories but the app itself would be much better if it had a dark mode option

Nice. Tired of the left wing against the right wing back and forth. Looking for something that doesn’t insult my intelligence. Most of America has come to believe you have to choose one or the other. News Flash! There are other options. Love the app, it works great. Love the options to review different perspectives. Just all around nice experience and resource.

A great source!. Straight Arrow News gives me all points of view and where they are coming from. It’s a valuable resource.

Finally!. What a breath of fresh air to find a newsource that reports both sides of the story from BOTH sides of the aisle! I rarely lose a debate anymore with people because SAN has prepared me with the actual facts and not bias one sided reporting.

Finally a trustworthy source of news.. Today, when biases run deep in news stories, it’s increasingly difficult to “form your own opinion”. SAN is helping me to remove these biases, so that I can clearly understand the issues at hand. Keep up the good work!

Sold out in under a year. I was initially impressed with Straight Arrow News and appreciated their commitment to balanced reporting. Unfortunately, over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed a shift in their content that mirrors the biases and editorial slants common in mainstream media. What once felt like an independent and objective news source now increasingly resembles the kind of narrative-driven reporting I was hoping to avoid. It’s disappointing to see a platform with such promise veer away from its original mission.

Finally, reliably reported news. I’ve just discovered Straight Arrow News and very impressed so far. It would appear to be exactly what I’ve been looking for and I’m excited about the results of my news coverage. Give it a go as you have nothing to lose.

Great app. Great way to find about the recent update and news around the world

Disappointingly USA-centric. While it is ungracious to complain about something provided for free, there were no indications at the main focus being on USA news. Yes, there are some articles that interest us in the rest of the world ABOUT the world outside of the USA. This app is not for an international readership. It is, once again, another internet thing within the context of “the USA is the centre of the world.” I’m deleting it.

Finally! I can actually know what’s going on!. San, i love this. This is finally what we all want, real news. Only thing. Could there be a fact checker. Like say I heard something in the news and instead of having to read through multiple articles. Could you not add a feature that asks like google but is unbiased? And could there also have options to get uk news and Australian news? And have in unbiased? I feel like this could be really important for Americans wanting to know what happens outside of there country and for Australian and uk users to get unbiased news.

Good so far ….. Anything that is even partially neutral in a story is GOLD …

Fantastic app with huge potential. If you want a FREE news aggregator app, this is the one. Yes, the other main one may have a more slicker look and interface, as well as a widget to add to your home-screen, SAN overall seems to be pushing TOTAL centrist or unbiased reporting (or just simply collecting and sorting news articles). Allsides rank them very well, which is a great endorsement! Just do some fine tuning on the UI, make it a bit easier on the eyes (a dark mode would be nice for starters), as well as a useful and customisable widget and this app would be perfect. I’ll continue to recommend it to any friends and family that follow news in any serious form. Thanks for bringing news from every angle to the people to make their own opinions!

Seems kinda cool. Just started using the app. And it seems kinda good. But the outrageous mistake is leaving the default button style. Remove the pressed effect so when I scroll is doesn’t keep fading. And also when switching in the TabView bar at the bottom it flickers and breaks the visuals really badly on iOS 18. Fixing the button visual problem should be 5min so please just do that

News is great, app not so much. The content great. The app volume is awful it maxes out and you can’t avoid it. I’m gonna use the YouTube app to watch SAN instead, you can at least listen to the news in the background and it doesn’t blow your ears out.
