Great Apple Watch Complication. This is the only app I’ve found that shows the current tide height in feet on the small Apple Watch complication. Awesome for boaters. The only thing that would make it even better is if the small Apple Watch complication had the current height and the time of the next tide as well. Still great.

Best tide app. As a surfer, I think this is the best tide app out there. When I lost access to it when I upgraded my phone, it was a struggle not being able to use it. The landscape mode interactive graph is what makes it special. It makes it easy to find those target tide windows that make surf spots turn on and off, and know exactly when you want to be there.

Perfect for surfers. I use this app for surfing in Southern California. It’s the best tide app out there because when turn your phone sideways you can drag your finger to the exact time and tide along the curve. It works great and the developer will respond to your questions. Just updated ShralpTide 2. Everything seems to work fine. iPhone 11 running 14.7.1

FANTASTIC - great new feature. Original app was great - used it for years. This update retains all original features plus: a) Many more local tide locations with better accuracy. Important for uneven coastline and islands etc. b) Not limited to projections just 5 days out. Can go 1 or even two weeks. c) Sunrise / sunset on graphic view is really helpful d) Current predictor e) Better, more visible color schemes Well worth the 99c

Reverts to La Jolla/ scrips pier every time. Used to work great. Now every time I reopen my saved spots are erased and The app reverts to the default La Jolla tides.

Rest on your laurels, get replaced.. ShralpTide2 was my go-to app for tides, but the bugs just kept coming. It could never seem to identify my location, it never could seem to remember my favorite locations, and it never got an update that actually gave you the real time of the tide - just expected us to approximate on the graph. Still, it was the best one out there. Well, they rested too long on their laurels. There’s a new app in town that does everything ShralpTide2 does and more (moon phases, weather, current location maps, awesome Apple Watch integration), and more effectively. I won’t name it - I’m not here to promote it, but to review ShralpTide2… which should have fixed issues and included more data long ago. Older review: ShralpTide was my go-to for heading out to the beach. Nice, tidy little app that did what it says. ShralpTide2 came out and… we'll, you can see my original review below. I don't know what the developer did behind the scenes since the first release, but this now meets and exceeds the previous edition. It's quick and responsive, the features work as you'd expect, the graphics are clean and attractive and they've improved the data on the front page. It's back to being my go-to for quick reference tide info! What's more - the developer read my previous review, made the needed fixes, and replied to me directly that they'd appreciate it if I took another look. I wouldn't have ever looked at again without that personal touch. Oldest review: Former title: Bugs & no default Nearby tide stations: it does a good job finding where you are and then identifying tide stations near you. You can't select them or even find out what they're called, but it it does display them on the map. Once you do set the station, it forgets it next time you open it. Those are core features. As a pair of broken features, they make this app worthless.

How do you eliminate a tide location?. How do you eliminate the default tide location, i.e. La Jolla?

Not happy with the new update!!. I loved your old app, this update took away a lot of information. The arrow is lame, too skinny. I miss the moon rise/set and sun rise/set. It's not as robust to look at.

Buy this App! It's really good.. I have been using the free version for years. It's easy to read interface is its strength. Portrait mode is powerful for visualizing the in between tidal states. At some surf spots a foot of tide can change the game! Pay it forward and buy the $.99 upgrade!

Great app. But.... ...wish the graphical tide chart didn't snap to daytime hours. Night tides are equally important.

Awesome app. Needs updates. Been using this app for years now. Love it! Thank you for putting it together. Unfortunately in the latest iOS 15.0.1 the ability to move the tide cursor when holding horizontally no longer works. Are there updates planned to fix this?

Doesn’t work in Australia. I used the old (free) version for years but the new (paid) version doesn’t work down-under anymore :-( Please put this on your TODO list.

Best tide app but won’t remember my favorite. Deletes my favorite locations every time I close app. Is there a fix?

Good but.... I'm traveling in Nova Scotia. The original Sharlp had at least seven or eight TIMES as many tidal stations to choose from. This one has 5 tidal stations in Nova Scotia, while the original has 38! Same for the other provinces. There are some improvements that I really like, such as being able to view tides more than five days out. The sun and moon symbols are also handy for planning night time kayak outings and low tide paddles in the morning and evening. If they add all of the Canadian tidal stations that they removed back onto the app, I'll up my rating to five stars. Luckily I still have my original Shralp app, which I have been using very happily for years, so I still have those tidal stations in the palm of my hand.

Won't open. ...and it's a paid app!!!!

Upgrade?. The new upgrade will not let you keep your tide station if you close the app!! It will default to another station! I liked it the way it was!!

Love the daylight display!. I went to the developer's website to suggest they add day and night display to the original app. I found they have this 99 cent app that has this feature. Now I can plan when to run on the beach at low tide! You should advertise the new app on the basic app. Feature suggestion: I'd love to add low tide daylight times to my Calendar to plan beach runs.

Terrible. Doesn't even load on my phone and the free app has nothing in Southeast Alaska..... The fishing Capitol of the world. Dumb

Sharp Tide. On my iPhone 5s this app works properly, but on my iPad Air it won't get past the opening screen. That means I can't access the location I am interested in! tswill2

Crash not fixed. Delete La Jolla and app crashes on start until deleted and reinstalled Saved locations go missing (Having poor network connectivity seems to be a factor)

Generally good, but has to be reloaded. Love the app. After awhile, it will repeatedly crash on my iPhone. Easily fixed by a reinstall.

Doesn't work since upgrade. Loved this app on my ipone5 - but it no longer works since the last upgrade. Also the upgrade wiped out my saved locations. Not happy :(

Please reverse update. Latest update makes a useful app less so: fewer features, more cumbersome to navigate. Please revert to last version.

Little difference. I'm confused why I bought this for 99c when there is little to no difference to the free app that I love and have been using for a while. Only real difference I see is color change and sunrise/set which is pretty useless as it does not really give you exact sunrise/set details. Hope there are some major improvements and updates to beef up this app and make is really worth the purchase!

limited for future planning. This app's major shortcoming is only being able to view tides 15 days out. Otherwise the tide graph is well implemented. But with such limited functionality, the 15 day limit is inexcusable.

Best tide app but one glitch. I’ve been using and suggesting this app to friends for years. Simple, intuitive, and reliable until recently. I bought an Apple Watch and for some reason I can no longer get the app on the watch to work. #bummed. I hope there’s a solution.

Crashes and won't restart. I was a very happy user of Ahralp Tide, but have to upgrade for iOS 11 compatibility. I downloaded the new app, but as I started adding my local ride stations, after adding two I tried to delete the default La Jolla station. App crashed immediately and will jot restart. So I deleted the app and re- downloaded it. Added two tide stations, repeat. The link to "support" in the App Store is a 404 not found. So far, a disaster

Was great...Now useless. As so often with apps a great and useful product has spawned a descendant that does not function. The mark 2 will only tell me about the tides at La Jolla wherever that is. Shame. Lost my phone and the original. Moving on.

Port Moody, BC Canada. The old app worked fine for me but your new IOS11.1-compatible, which I had to buy, is a waste of money for my location. Not happy.

Not for Canada. I've been using this tide app for years and waiting some time for an update for the new iOS. It arrives but for a fee of $2.79 CDN, so I pay and download only to discover that the developer has completely remove the Canadian tide stations! Well, there are many tide apps in the sea good bye Shralp Tide!!!

Derated app.. I have the original app. that would show tides all over the west coast so when I saw your new app. I figured has to be better WRONG I SAY AGAIN WRONG your new ShralpTide2 sucks because it does not have all the little harbours that we service So just a heads up I would not pay a penny for this app let alone down load it SO PLEASE do the right thing and go back to the original app. So I can actually use it as I do on my old I pad Please and thanx

Not as good as the original. I downloaded this app as I used the first version almost daily (living in the Gulf Islands BC). Disappointed that tides from Montague no longer available and no tides from Fulford or Ganges as well. If you liked the prior app for the excellent coverage in this area, you will not like this version as well. Too bad.

Garbage. Can I get a refund? What an absolute joke this is compared to the original ShralpTide. I just wasted $3 Where’s Canada in this?

Old free app was better. My app keeps defaulting to la jolla. I have to manually plug in Tofino every time. I use to love this app please update

Disappointed. The old version was great, this new version doesn’t have many locations so accurate local information is not available. Kinda disappointed.

Worse than the first version. For some reason, the app keeps reverting back to “La Jolla” location even though I delete that location because it’s nowhere near me. After a few instances of loading to my only preferred location (and after I deleted “La Jolla”), it reverts back to La Jolla and deletes my chosen location. It never used to do that. It also is missing many locales that were in the original version. Why do App developers do this? This version is worse than the original.

This Used To Be a Great App. Not anymore!. I used the earlier version of this app for years. It was free. Easy to use. Loaded with locations and accurate information. Bought a new phone and had to buy the updated version only to discover they’ve omitted hundreds of locations and cluttered the visuals. What a shame. Don’t waste your money. Get the TideApp instead. **Update: the app will no longer open. Instantly crashes.

Rip off. Would have been nice to know that this app wasn’t available in Canada anymore. Now for the process of trying to get a rebate. Calculated move on this suppliers part.

Not for Canada. I have used the original app from 2010 for years and loved it. Sadly with this version I'm not able to use my location of St. Andrews,NB. Otherwise a great app.

What a disappointment. The old app was great, plus free. So I decide to pay for this one and have lost all the readings on my area, BC, Canada. Don’t upgrade. So have a useless app I paid for! What are they thinking??? Actually have the old app on my phone and it works great and still has all my area data.

Very disappointed. Useless to me. Waste of money. Wish I had seen the previous review "not for Canada". The previous version was great, but this one does not have any tide stations for Canada any more. Don't waste your money.

Half Moon Bay, British Columbia. What gives, the previous free app had my area on it, perfect. Now I pay for an app that does less than a free one? Looking forward to your update. Closest I get is Vancouver? Only wish is that the creators of this app are somewhat familiar with regional tides as there is about a 20 minute different timing here as well as a different levels. Please hire someone with this knowledge as it does effect us boat owners. Perhaps someone can recommend an app that has this info. I will have to use this one as a rough backup. Not happy considering it is a paid app.

Elegant and visual. Provides tidal Information just like you would want to see it – as table and with a rotation of the screen graphically. Highly intuitive. Update: Thanks for the fast response to my feedback and for bringing back the option to toggle between metric and imperial units!

A Dismal Version of it's Former Self. A crying shame. This tide app was the absolute best app of its kind before v2. Now it has lost support for anywhere outside the USA.

Does work in Canada!. I've enjoyed the simplicity and design of this app for years. Contrary to other reports, it does work in Canada, though not all locations are represented (someone else mentioned Gibsons). I like the precision of the (landscape orientation) wave visual, so I can find out what time the tide will be at a certain point ideal for swimming. It only shows tides for five days, but that's usually adequate for me. Recently I had a problem with it not working on my phone, but the app developer was very responsive and ultimately helped me solve the issue.

Please add more BC tide stations. The old version included Sooke BC. The new version only has Victoria on Southern Vancouver Island, which is not accurate fore my area. Please update as this is a great app for fisherman.
