Incredibly unstable. This is the most unstable app I have ever used. I never manage to get through the entire news content without it freezing and/or shutting down. It’s been a problem for a couple of years but has gotten worse recently despite the fact that both the app version and my O/S are up-to-date.

Always crashes. Not a stable app. Constantly crashes though WSPA is where I go for the latest news. Happy with the content when I can read it or on TV, but the app needs work.

So much better than WYFF. Unlike WYFF, you are not forced to constantly watch loud annoying ads. The news is more up-to-date. I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this. I deleted WYFF and switched to this app.

Annoying Ads. You cannot read a news item without an annoying ad playing automatically ... just not worth it

They send notifications for stories not in the app. Stop sending notifications for stories you don’t even have available in the app yet! It’s incredibly annoying.

Aggravating. My phone constantly locks up when I click on one of their stories to read. Too many commercials trying to sell you something running at the same time. This is the only app that I have this problem with, please fix. Thanks

WSPA app updates. I’ll give instances where the app has update issues When hurricane Dorian was tracking to SC coast SPA hurricane news was all about Michael from a year ago. Throughout Nexstar negotiations with Directv updates on situation were missed. I did not see SPA post anything about when it back on Directv nor statements welcoming viewers back Last your “news” posts are sometimes days or weeks old on national items.

Can’t get 7. I really hope things can be worked out so we are able to view 7. I don’t know what is happening but there are a lot of unhappy customers.

Review of news Channel 7. Hi, I personally watch only Channel 7 for news and weather!! I love Fred Cunningham, Jack Roper, Christy Henderson but, I absolutely adore Amy Wood!!!! She makes the news more interesting, and somewhat comical with her behind the scene antics😂😂😂. Overall, I sincerely think that News Channel 7 is the best!!! Keep on Keeping on 🌹🏆

Updates. On the weekends really no updates.

WSPA APP Needs some work. Most of the time I love the app, but have some issues that need to be worked on! A lot the time it goes off when reading a story! Love News Channel 7 but really do not like the split news screen with Amy being in Greenville! I like it better with the News team being together! One thing I don't like is you have more news for Greenville instead of Spartanburg! I live in Spartanburg and want to know what's happening here not Greenville!

App. Great app I get to see my favorite local ladies give the news & weather

Freezes up. I am tired of how often this app freezes up. Frustrated enough with it to REMOVE IT from my phone. Done!

Constantly freezes. I downloaded the free app to stay abreast of local news and issues, but it constantly freezes up to the point or it is not useful at all. Will be deleting this app and seeking another local news app that actually works!

Problems with this app!. I have the iPhone 11 and for some reason this app keeps freezing up and shutting off. I can be in the middle of reading a story and the app will just shut off or freeze up.

Keeps crashing. Crashes when you scroll!! Please fix this!! On IPhone 8. iPhone 11 seems to be ok and iPad it’s ok. Last update 3/18 has a bug!!!!

App freezes. Love looking at my local news on my phone but this app freezes up EVERY TIME I use it. It’s become unbearable. I can hardly look at two stories before the thing just stops working. I’m deleting the app. Please fix this issue.

Weather. I don’t care for the update on the weather outline, I preferred the older one. I would like to see the percentage of precipitation that isn’t on a chart

Love my station. Awesome cast from all the years Tom was there. Love Amy and the Entire cast. The way we are kept informed from news to weather. Gotta Love it

Freezes constantly. App constantly freezes on any phone I use. Does not appear to be one phone. Have deleted and reinstalled multiple times.

Intrusive app. WSPA forced me to update my app in order to get news. Then, even though I declined push notifications, I began getting noisy audible pop-up ads that disturbed me and others around me. Horrible app.

Used to be a great app. This used to be the only news app I used. Over the last six to eight months, it either crashes, freezes up, or it returns me to the first article while I’m just reading the titles of articles. I now have to rely on the two other news stations to get my news and hope they talk about the weather and news stories that are relevant to my county. Before you ask, yes, my app is up to date and automatically updates when a new version/update becomes available. Please fix your app.

Freezes all the time. Personally Channel 7 is the only place I get my local news and it’s disheartening that EVERY time I access the app it freezes and I need to close and restart the app. I have deleted and reinstalled with no change. PLEASE!!! Fix your app.

Review for reading your paper. I read your paper about 2 to 3 times a week to try to keep up with the news in the up state.

UPDATES SUPERB. I’m not always able to catch the news. Channel 7 app keeps me with updates via notifications... and I love how QUICK they are at delivering the “NOW” news.

Great app. I love this app! It helps me stay up to date with what’s going on in my community and let’s me know when to avoid the interstate!!

Latest Update CRASHES. Update 3/18 does not work. Crashes on IPhone 8 each time you go to scroll. Works on IPad but not on the on IPhone. Never had any issue before yesterday.

Screen Freezes. Screen freezes after a minute or so of using app.

Unreliable app, precious little news. For the last few weeks, the WSPA app has crashed every time it’s opened - read half of one article, then it freezes and has to be restarted. As for substance, most subjects are glossed ove in a couple of short paragraphs, with little real info. It seems that WSPA doesn’t cate to put much effort into their mobile online presence.

Better Format. Like the look but it is still crashing periodically.

Freezing app. This app is so sorry. Keeps freezing up and have called channel 7 about it and they tell me it’s my phone. Funny thing nothing else freezes on my phone. Go figure.

7 newscast. Top notch during the week. Christie is still the best on the weather. Weekend drops off a bit, they are not as experienced as their weekday counterparts. But show promise.

Channel 7. I hate the new ad that pops up. The app freezes and kicks you off while reading an article.

Freezes too often. The glitches and freezing up of the app are almost too much to bear sometimes. That coupled with the grammatical errors that are allowed make me want to delete the app and get my news elsewhere.

If you drive I-85, GET THIS APP!. I have notifications turned on for this app simply because of the notices about I-85 traffic. It’s the BEST!

App. The app seems to have problems with videos quite a lot.

Unstable news app. This is the worst news app I’ve ever used. Open an article and the app freezes when scrolling down to read the article.

Unresponsive and poor ads. Unresponsive and boring ads that will not respond to scroll instructions. I will be deleting this app for one that does not force me to look at a 2 week old ad for over a minute or more and will not scroll out of the way as the instructions imply

Review of WSPA news. I enjoy receiving the news via the app but your reporting is sometimes sub par. A lot of your articles contain horrible grammatical errors and multiple misspellings. Is there no proofreading process? It is painfully obvious that you folks are in love with Clemson and you seem unable to realize that there are other teams that contribute locally. Furman is a pillar in the Greenville community and the Upstate has a large number of fans for The University of South Carolina, too. You asked.

Gateway House project started on Rutherford Rd yesterday. Thank you for sharing this on your station yesterday. To my knowledge, WYFF didn’t show up. They are a few doors down from Gateway. I do not find a way to reach them, but I am very ashamed of them.

News 7. I do like this app. but the app. is driving me crazy it pops up with the same story and it just like what you read three minutes ago. If it’s going to pop up at least have more to say that we will let you know when more is available

Ads Before News. Too many advertisements. It’s absolutely ridiculous to watch an ad for a car dealership before seeing a report about the loss of a life. Extremely distasteful.

Very Tempermental. Slow to load, often crashes. Content is okay, but someone should read the reports before posting them. There are far too many grammatical mistakes.

Review. Commercial to get to news is terrible

Constantly have to re down load. I use the app 4 to 5 times a day , but often have to re down load it because it either won't open or is extremely slow

No settings. If there were a settings button it would make this app a lot better!

Dated style. The layout and navigation are not using the full capability of mobile devices. The system appears to be designed by a website designer. Not as broad as it could be.

Worst Local News App. Between Fox Carolina and WYFF, this app is garbage. It rarely is current, meaning with what they are reporting on television at the same time. Comparing the content to the others is abysmal. Don't believe me, look for yourself. Also, this app is pretty much an advertisement with a peppering of news. Every other "story" is an advertisement. I've deleted this app after a year and can rightfully say that I haven't missed it.

Love this app. I love having the news at my fingertips cause I hardly ever watch tv so it's nice to have the news on my phone !

Wspa. All they talk about is Clemson this Clemson that your job is to report the news really why the live talk between from Spartanburg to Greenville that's like making a FaceTime call from gaffney to Blacksburg.

WSPA app. The app has evolved into a good source of local news. It helps to keep me up to date on what is happening now in my community with traffic, weather, alerts and people. I would not like to be without it. I agree with Jcsoup. This app has become such an annoyances that I am ready to dump it. Then I can save me "time eeey" and avoid the need for "Living Assistance" :-).

Better than old version. This app is better than the older version. With the older version I had issues opening the app from new notifications. Since this is a Spartanburg channel news service, I would prefer the weather to pull down for Spartanburg rather than Greenville.

Great news and weather source.. This is where I get my news and weather every day.

Too many advertisments. We see enough ads. Don't need to see them at every click. WYFF doesn't have these and much friendlier to use. Sorry, but I do know Jack. Do something for your viewing audience without trying to sell something at every turn. George

Ads are out of control. I have used this app for quite a while and the ads have never really bothered me until today. I can't even finish the article that I am trying to read because pop up ads keep interrupting my reading, the 'Continue Reading' button keeps redirecting me to another story, and the description under the picture is covering part of the story with no way to collapse it. I understand advertising, but this is out of control.

Terrific App for Local News. This App is very very good! Very user friendly and it doesn't have an advertisement for every item read. Very professional, slick, Kobe well done channel seven! Beats that other station hands down!

Upstate news. Great app to get caught up on the latest news in the Carolina's with news alerts that help the public keep informed up to the minute.

Disappeared iPhone 5. I loved this app and used it often. All of a sudden the app disappeared from my phone. I didn't delete it and have searched and cannot find it anywhere!! My App Store still says "open" like the app is still on my phone.

Mrs. I like it very much, because I have been a Caregiver for 9 yrs. to my Veteran Dad. He is 90 yrs old in October! I like to stay informed! I know a lot of people in the Viewing Area! The News. WSPA App provides the most update information. I am aware of every important event occurring. Great and easy to navigate. WSPA App excels in timely accurate news!

Great app. I enjoy this app very much. It is great to keep you up to date during a busy day. I like to know the breaking news.

Breaking News in Upstate First. Being news junkie, I have six news apps on my mobile. My favorite is WSPA News 7 because this station consistently displays the most current & complete news. Several Upstate news apps ignore news in Clemson/Seneca area but not WSPA. Being easy to navigate & locate breaking news is another plus.

On top of the news. Up to thermite information anywhere all the time.

Old app was better. The new app doesn't give local forecast like the old app did....now all it shows is Greenville. Also, no way to see notifications for breaking news.

Now that's what call a news app!!!. This ranks among the best of the best news apps around - national and local! I've tried Pulse, CNN, ABC - you name it. With this app I can get local and national in one clean - - - very clean - - - place. I can even tolerate the ads! And the local coverage is even better than reading the local papers or waiting for the evening news.

Too Many Notifications. The app is great, but you guys send way too many notifications throughout the day. One or two a day is fine, but I don't need to get a notification that it might be cold next week. The CNN app doesn't send as many notifications as you do.

Great app. This app works well for up to date info. My only problem is with the live news feed. Too much blue screen saying that they will be right back

Could be better. One thing that I've noticed lately is that you guys cant spell! I mean c'mon, just double check it before you post it. It does load a bit slow, but I can live with it.
