Subscription issue. I subscribed to this using my apple ID but the subcriptions never got activated even when my card got charged.. customer support could not even find my account... I am in US and the subscription is based in India.. Looks like good selection of books but customer support had no idea about how to solve subscription issue... ended up cancelling

Super!!!. This app is great because there is lots of books and you don’t need to go to the library to read them

Missing some e-book functions. When reading e-books, it’s great that the page numbers and clock show all the time, but some features are definitely missing. There is no text search feature, which is one of the best things about e-books. It’s also not possible to zoom in on the cover art or any other pictures in the book. Another nice feature that’s missing is the ability to highlight text for later reference. Finally, I can’t for the life of me figure out why tapping the screen to get the menu bar turns some lines orange…!

Can we see the chapter names?. I have been using storytel for more than 2 years. It is a good app but can we improve the chapters and see the chapters name instead of chapter 1.2,3…. , is it possible to separate the introduction from the chapters?

Great app. Content and pricing need improvement. Audiobooks sound great, good voices. To flip between chapters, come back to something you want to revisit, etc., is not good. Content is short -I’ve search for ~20 titles and have only found 4-. Price is way off for a subscription model... should be around half

Stopped every 3 hours. I don’t know what’s the problem or it’s one pf the app features but i see it as a problem that the story stops every 3 hours especially im a kind of person who sleeps on audiobooks and if i wake up hearing nothing I would have to play it again and sometimes it causes me trouble sleeping 😞

More languages. I love the app and i’ve been using it for a bit more than a year now. Throughout this time i got to develop my habit of listening to books when going to the store, walking the dog and doing the chores. Yet, the only thing that is missing fo 5stars is having books in more languages. I am aware of the reason this is now an available option at the moment, yet, I am looking forward to having the chance to listen to books in languages different than my native one and English.

Worst payment option and customer support. The app will ask you pay once and then if you try to migrate the payment option they will ask you to leave since they don’t have any option to change payment option as per there support team which don’t check the issue they just reply with fix statements May be they have too many subscriptions so they are not willing to work hard any more

New look & feel. Refreshed app is great: iPhone X screen support, Kids Mode - very useful. Discovery needs work, but this journey never ends. I love all-you-can-listen model, the fact is Storytel is the last sound I hear before I fall asleep. 👏

Good things of storytell. It a very good app because We can hear and read books even if we don't know english And there are many books so we will never be board!!!

Good option. The app has good resources, it would be great if it would be an option to stream it on TV or AirPlay. Also if there would be an option to create different folders for saved titles would be a lot easier to keep things organized. Thanks!

Books not available in my location. I’ve been loving the app since 2 years now but 2/3 audiobooks you discover are in the app but not available in your location 👍🏼… EVEN EBOOKS TOO Could we have a solution to this? I live in USA and for some reason I have a Mexican membership (?) limited to some books on Spanish that are not bad but have some others I could’ve listen/read.

Not bad but doesn’t play too well with CarPlay. Book selections are not too bad. Volumes of the books seem to be set low, you have to set volume up way high especially when in car with road noise which is annoying as when turned to other service or radio need to keep flipping down.

On Big Thing Missing. I love storytel, I use it everyday. I can overlook the questionable UI design, but I definitely CANNOT overlook the fact that it doesn’t support CarPlay! CarPlay has been out for ages and still storytel doesn’t support it! Every time I need to listen to a book while driving I have to take out my phone and use it. There is no excuse not to support CarPlay, Apple books & Audible support it so why not storytel? 3/5 stars is more than enough for an audio book app that doesn’t support carplay.

Audiobooks. This is a great app for those who like to read, but does not have enough free time for this. downloaded the app and was very satisfied - a huge number of books, nice prices. very pleased and recommend.

Question. If the subscription period expires after I downloaded some audiobooks, do I have to pay $9.99 to reload or will it remain loaded forever? I’m waiting for your answer thanks

A new level in the field of audio books. In my opinion, this is the best audiobook app out there. A very large selection of books, more than one million. It is very convenient that you can create your own bookshelf. I also want to separately highlight the offline mode and the mode for children, it's brilliant

Pirate content?. Almost all books in English that I would like to listen to are not available in my country (USA). Books in Russian are fine, but it is not a big deal to get them for free on the Internet. I wish more content would be available for me.

Review for Performance of app. Contain is good but app need more improvement. There is no play next episode button It should automatically play next episode

Big drawback. This app doesn’t support Carplay!!!!! I subscribed to this app so I can listen to my favorite books while driving. Every time you have to catch the phone to go back or skip 15 sec because the buttons in the app very small and doesn’t offer the car display like audible.

Fix wide screen reading option!. Hey, guys! It’s really annoying that we can’t use this app in wide screen mode on iPad. Fix it, please.

Suggestion. I wish if we could put bookmarks while offline too. Other than that, everything is perfect 🤍🤍

It is not working. I am having problem to listen my book.

Good app but could use a lot of changes. This app is good but it could use a few changes, like letting you listen to more books and all that. But this app has never ever crashed once while I have been using this app, so that is definitely a pro. A con is that they won’t let you listen to the books you want to listen the most.

Audio sample. When I read an english book I prefer to hear a native English speaker voice. Even though I really like to listen rather than read a book the sample of (rich dad and poor dad)book and more other audio sample is gave me anxiety the reader got like an Egyptian accent which makes his pronunciation horrible. Plus the way he reads feels like you hear a robot. Thank you

Connectivity issues. Love the app but the last update made it impossible to listen. I get a “internet access required” error every time I open the app. Have restarted the app & my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app with no change. No book will load.

Seamless streaming with quality content!. One of my favorite and most used apps. Loving the variety and quality of the Storytel library. It’s perfect for listening in the car and unwinding before bed. Also, the price can’t be beat! 5*

Worst user interface design in app store... ever. Hidiously bad navigation within the app. Total nightmare. They even tried to re-invent the scrollbar (set position) ... and failed, as in... really... miserably. Not recommended app.

Fees. I have subscribed to this app. A few years ago it was excellent. Now I have returned to renew my subscription, but there seems to be a problem with the subscription! As I paid the fees for a month, the amount was already deducted, and I received an email receipt, and when I log in to the application, I am asked to pay the subscription again! I can't understand why?

Subscription. Storytel was a great app, but for no reason doesn’t accept payment from the USA anymore. There was no communication regarding payment policy updates or restrictions. The website doesn’t work in Russian or English. Any suggestions for better service?

Great app but....... Love the ability to listen to many different books stored in my bookshelf but at times a long delay in getting the app to open. Super frustrating

This app is so annoying..... Ok so, I chooseed this app because I like to have variety of books to listen in my library, and it’s more easy to me since you can read the books you want without points limitations. I like the book selection and the price is pretty nice. The thing is that I live in the US and I literally can’t read almost any of the books I want to read(?? All the english books say “the tittle is not available in your current location” What I am supposed to read? I know how to speak Spanish and I am currently reading some of then, bt there are many books in english that I want to read... I wrote to the help email to talk about the location issue and it has been weeks and nobody answered. If this is the case, I feel that the app lost a lot of potential. I will finish the books in Spanish that I am reading for a while and then cancel my subscription because I am literally paying for a minimum selection of books.

Half of app is in another language when signed up with vpn on. I happened to have vpn turned on when I installed the app, and it turned out German. I was able to change the app language, but now half of the program is in English and the rest is in German. When I use a browser to go to the homepage to contact support, everything goes back to German. I even managed to arrive at a “choose your country” page, and whatever I choose the site is always in German. Could you please sort it out ?

Very good. It should have some book options in French or German, and of course, the library is acceptable, but The more, the merrier! I’d love also if there was a way to switch chapters and not get lost ... and more cooking and baking ebooks!

Excellent. Wonderful app! Can’t stop listening to all stories. “Ponniyin selvan and friends” do excellent job in narrating stories. Background music is mesmerizing too. I literally felt like I lived there while listening to sivagamiyin sabatham, parthiban kanavu and kadal pura. Please keep reading more stories :)

Don’t support russian product. The app itself is ok. It offers a wide variety of books to listen to, mostly in russian. However I had to cancel my subscription when russia invaded Ukraine. I won’t be giving a penny to the occupiers and asking you not to support anything made or produced in that country as well.

Interface could improve. Mostly happy with this app. I use it every day. Selection of books are acceptable but could be more extensive. I would love have chapter selections for easier navigation. The scrubbing is a little temperamental. Sometimes it will hang.

Good. Ok app. But would like to see chapters better for easyer scrolling as i usually fall asleep listening and its difficult to find my place again.

Great selection of books. I am enjoying the variety of books Storytel offers. I would recommend this platform to everyone.

REWIND and FastForward. Very nice app I like it very much. The only thing I am missing is, buttons 10 seconds back and forward. When I want to hear something again I have to pull or push back and forward and go beyond where I was.

Storytel - Audiobooks library. There are a lot of genres of books, you can switch between them to find what you love . Also there are many languages, and you can choose between listening and reading. It’s awesome!

Great Platform for Audiobooks. Using it on iPhone SE, iOS 13.3. Good selection of audiobooks (I don’t read ebooks on my phone). I use the bookmark feature a whole bunch. Works seamlessly, quality of audio output is excellent. The ability to search, navigate between sections and features, and pricing plans are decent.

Great customer service!. Great app with very understanding and reasonable customer service - great catalog of books from both my country and other countries!

Won’t let me login even though I paid!. I created an account on the website and paid for a membership then downloaded the app and tried to login but it won’t let me!! It’s also impossible to get in contact with customer care!! I had to cancel my membership and creat a new account on the app and pay for another membership!

Amazingly useful. Amazing collection of books both English as well as Marathi. Great to read multiple books at any time. The only drawback is not being able to access the chapters and go to whichever I want.

They took my money. i payed for the Subscription by using apple store for months they took from me 4 dollars and I was able to listen for few days then after that I can’t listen to the stories at all anymore and so many days pass still the same I want my money back

So Grateful for Storytel After Audible Nightmares. Storytel is a godsend compared to Audible. Just basic features like being able to actually filter by language that actually work. Or getting access to all content for your subscription price and not just a credit or two.

Would have given a five stars if not for the UX. The app is great for it contents, especially for the regional languages. I subscribe to the app for my mother, so she can listen to books in Malayalam. I do have some issues with the UX. If I select a preferred language as Malayalam ,I only want to see my recommendations in Malayalam and not in any other language. I tried to explain this to their support center in India, but I don’t think they understood what I meant. The UI is not very user friendly, and especially not for older person. I think it would be a good idea to revisit the UI and not lose out on an entire market segment.

Great selection but poor reader. I understand marking books might be asking for too much functionality, but I had hoped I could translate words (nope, Apple doesn’t support Icelandic anymore). So okay, I thought I’d be able to at least have Google Translate open or Goodnotes, nope, split-view is not allowed. I can’t even follow along as it reads to me because it refuses to let me read as the audiobook plays in the background.

Can’t use. The app is available in the Australian App Store but the service isn’t. That means you can’t use it.

This’s the best audiobooks app. I love audiobooks but couldn't find an app for them until I found this one. A large selection, pleasant voice acting. You can listen anytime and anywhere. Must try many new genres. The sleep timer feature is my favorite

Great app but with a major bug in searching. Selection of books is ok but searching function has a major bug. Simply cannot search for books included in the collection. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Otherwise would have been a 5 star.

Good but. App is good but lot of books are not available for Australia region. Still search capability has some issues,when I search by author it won’t shows all books belong to that particular author.

Good content - terrible functionality and interface. Guys I like your product in terms of content - but it’s really hard to find things! When I browse into the categories - there is not search box to search in a specific category (e.g. podcast). Also noticed that when I listen to a books/podcast in a player - it doesn’t allow me to go back to the previous page to the category to which the book/cast belong, (I.e. where I found the book/audiocast)but it makes me start over to find that category

Chapter’s titles. Will be great if you can add the chapters titles instead of only numbers

Not available in Australia so why is it in the AU App Store?. Once you download the app, you have to choose your country from a list. If your country isn’t in the list it’s not available. Stupid. Why release the app to countries that can’t access the service?

The best app I have ever downloaded. From last many months I was after good app to listen audio book and suddenly I found this app. It is easy to use and best to build knowledge by books.

Can’t see the whole book list. Unfortunately there is no way to see all books in a list. To see all the books in a category as a list would be great. Subcategories like recently added, most popular etc. are useful OK but have a complete list somewhere so people can browse freely.

Books audiobooks. It won’t let me update it to be able to listen to it and I can’t do any of the subscriptions but it won’t tell me how or I can’t find it and it also won’t let me I was soooo excited for this 😢

Good app. The app is good and has good usability however there are two issues. 1. A lot of books are not available in Australia 2. There is a small bug when listening in 2x and when going back it is out of sync and instead first go forward before start going back. But in general good and I recommend!

Excellent. I listen to most of my books by using this app including many that I had already bought. You can download audiobooks in advance so you can still listen to them while you are offline. Storytel is an excellent way to save some money and getting the same service as other expensive options. I will be a subscriber as long as they keep this great service alive. Well done.

الجميل لا يكمل. في البداية شكرا لفريق العمل والعاملين على التطبيق لاستجابتهم السريعة ومحاولة ارضاء كل الأطراف التطبيق جيد وممتاز .. لكن مع الأسف! عدم اتاحة التطبيق في بلدان مثل امريكا وكندا حيث الجالية العربية الأكبر والتي تعاني من شحة الكتب والمصادر باللغة العربية يجعل التطبيق حكرا على بلدان معينة تتوفر بها الكتب والروايات باللغة العربية اضطررت الى تحميل تطبيق اخر ربما ليس بنفس المستوى .. لكنه يوفر الخدمة في كل بلد.

I love this app.. Listening to audiobooks has become very popular and in this app you will find a great variety of good ones. There is still more work to do in order to improve its performance. I wish to listen to better books, there are plenty to be brought to this site. The selection made is not always good however I enjoy the opportunity to be part of this project.

The region thing. I don’t like the fact that some books are not in some country’s but overall a good app <3

Storytel Bulgaria - excellent service. Good choice of books in different genres, good reading of the actors. This app changed my life and I am so happy about that.

Decent app but with drawbacks. First of all. I love audio books and this app provides a great selection at a pretty reasonable rate. Be mindful though, there are restrictions depending on your location, and not all books provide audio some are only readable. And I find that quite a few performances seem a bit below the level I expected, but still worth a listen though. Also one frustrating thing I find, is that the app doesn’t turn with the device on all sides. Seems a minor issue, but so is fixing it. 😉Overall worth a try

I’m a subscriber. When i open the app it kicks me out. I updated it and the problem is still the same. Note** everything used to be perfectly fine but out of the sudden this happened and I’m definitely not satisfied about it. I will update my comment if anything happens.

Slow loading. To open the book need wait so long

Car navigation. During activated navigation there was no sound neither from navigation nor from the app. When the navigation was giving directions, e.g. turn left etc, the app automatically paused the voice, but I couldn’t hear navigation ether. Was tested with Apple Maps and Waze

FYI. Not really a review just an FYI, I downloaded the app upon many recommendations from people but the app won’t let me do or hear a thing without a subscription. I don’t even mind except the fact that I found the account settings where I need to GET a subscription and that whole page is FROZEN on my phone. Cant sign up or log in or even know how much it costs to get a subscription. So this my question what is wrong with it and how do I fix it? There doesn’t seem to be any updates I am missing.

many titles not available on my region. I’m loving the audio books. It’s my first time listening to audio books and I think it’s perfect. however, many books that I would like to listen or read says that they are not available in Canada. I search for the books in Portuguese and English but both of them are unavailable.

App is empty when I open it. I remember using this app a long time ago and it was pretty co. I decided to check it out again recently but upon launching it, the Home/Search/Bookshelf/Profile buttons are there but everything is empty. I don’t know if this is because I’m not subscribed yet, in a sanctioned country, or if the app is secretly discontinued and I just don’t know about it yet. At least before, even without being subscribed, you were able to look around at the library. Would love to hear a response! :D

Scammed. I loved this app during the free trial, so I bought the unlimited monthly. Then, all the books i was reading said it’s no longer available in my region. So, I got scammed and I won’t use this app again.

Limited options for Canada. Why almost nothing is available in Canada? 😫

Needs more statistics. Wonderful! It's really nice to listen to the books. It is much better to listen to a book than to listen to songs, especially on long journeys. I wish we could see more statistics. Which books and how many hours are listened in our region and in other countries? It would be really helpful to see different stats.

No access to files that should accompany audiobook!. Hello, I downloaded an audiobook that needed a PDF that goes along with said book. When I reached out to find out how to get the PDF that had already been mentioned in the Audiobook multiple times I was told by support on Facebook “they told you to look at a PDF, but they never gave us a PDF. So we don’t have one.” This book like a number of other audiobooks need to have the PDF that comes with the audiobook, is how I responded. Their response was “this happens a lot with English books.” If this happens a lot would you not try to figure out a way to solve the problem? None the less I have went back to Audible even though I really like the idea of Storytel. I feel that I’m not the only person that has changed because of this missing feature. Too bad

Scam. I got subscribed, there’s no way to unsubscribe… the app doesn’t show on my subscriptions on apple… They take payment directly from credit card. I am still trying to reach someone so the payments stop

Doesn’t stay in landscape. It’s something they should fix. I usually just delete the app because I assume the app is intended for iphone only.

Can’t go to a certain place of a book. There’s no function just to tap at a certain place I’d like start listening from....i forking need to hold for minutes to rewind-add functionality to go to the place instantly

Mean app. I normally don’t write bad reviews because I try to find the good in apps but there was no good first of all you need a subscription to read books But when I try to get a subscription, you needed a subscription to get a subscription. This app is horrible. It’s mean to me. I hate it.

Apple CarPlay Support. Any plans to support apple CarPlay .. it is easy to use the app than navigating the iPhone while driving..

Where is the USA option?. The app is good but I was trying to find the USA country thing and it was not there so I had to pick a country I was not in and the books I wanted to read are not available in that country. I was so frustrated.

Weird app. When you first log in it says choose your region , yet there is no USA or America so you can’t listen to your book you wanna read if it’s not available in that region.

Please make a CarPlay app. This is the only audio book app that I pay and it is worth every penny, however, CarPlay is a must. Developers, please consider CarPlay addition. Thanks!

Great app with right wing leaning. I can’t find any books for Edward Said, Rashid Khalidi, Norman Finkelisreine. Anti imperialism, capitalism critique, I hope it becomes more neutral and more inclusive

Do Not Get If U Live In The US!. I really needed an app that could read audiobooks and was compatible with the Apple Watch. This app was compatible with my Apple Watch, which was great, BUT the app is not available in the USA. And when I say is not available I mean you cannot select it as a livable country. DON’T BUY THIS APP IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA.

No limits. The price you pay covers everything in their catalogue, which is very extensive

Zvezdelin Minkov. Listening to Storytel mainly because Zvezdelin Minkov narrator in Bulgarian makes the experience one of a kind I wish there are more foreign classics narated by him!

Can we see the chapter names?. I have been using storytel for more than 2 years. It is a good app but can we improve the chapters and see the chapters name instead of chapter 1.2,3…. , is it possible to separate the introduction from the chapters?

Please fix these bugs…. I cannot open most books or I cannot search most authors books, but those are in the library already.

CarPlay is a notable miss. This is a great source for audiobooks, particularly in foreign languages that I can’t easily find in Audible or Apple Books. I’d love a CarPlay app, though!

Pesky Apple CarPlay bugs does not prevent from falling love with this App and it’s content. Overall a good job, more contents to add & keep up your standards. My recommendation goes to this company

1 star. Not a good audiobook app, every time you pause or stop listening to a book for a while it skips forward or backward in the story. Thus, every time after you pause your listening you need to figure out where you were last time.

Subscription issue. I subscribed to this using my apple ID but the subcriptions never got activated even when my card got charged.. customer support could not even find my account... I am in US and the subscription is based in India.. Looks like good selection of books but customer support had no idea about how to solve subscription issue... ended up cancelling

One of the best app. Story tell app not only helps listening to best book but teaches most incredible habit to listen

Good but not compatible with Siri. It’s a good app which could be great if it gets updated to become compatible with Siri. Right now you can’t even start or stop playing books with Siri.

Titles not available. Many titles say Not available in my area

Good. Ok app. But would like to see chapters better for easyer scrolling as i usually fall asleep listening and its difficult to find my place again.

English. I never requested my correspondence to be in Swedish. I need English, have requested numerous times... Crickets! no response! I can't read or understand this language.

Great customer service!. Great app with very understanding and reasonable customer service - great catalog of books from both my country and other countries!

A suckish app. Any book I looked up it said “ title not allowed in your region” recommend not to get this app. You have to work extra hard to try to get it to work, but I gave up and wasted my time. It doesn’t even have all the countries I had difficultys trying to get English.

1-star because. 1-star because they don't allow to listen and read simultaneously. This app would be a great way to improve my English since they offer many books in both audo and text format, but disabled the option to read and listen simultaneously.

Subscription. Storytel was a great app, but for no reason doesn’t accept payment from the USA anymore. There was no communication regarding payment policy updates or restrictions. The website doesn’t work in Russian or English. Any suggestions for better service?

Ipad orientation is wrong. There are a lot of books but app is only vertical on ipad, that is annoying. Such apps must be tested on various devices, it’s really frustrating to read book on vertical on an Ipad.

The most amazing platform. Storytel is my favorite platform to listen audiobooks. I love it.

Fix wide screen reading option!. Hey, guys! It’s really annoying that we can’t use this app in wide screen mode on iPad. Fix it, please.

Great app but....... Love the ability to listen to many different books stored in my bookshelf but at times a long delay in getting the app to open. Super frustrating

They took my money. i payed for the Subscription by using apple store for months they took from me 4 dollars and I was able to listen for few days then after that I can’t listen to the stories at all anymore and so many days pass still the same I want my money back

More books. Good app , just need more book on Bulgarian. Fundamental books are missing.
