3D Scanner App App Reviews

App barely functions. I don’t understand all the good reviews and ratings (fakes?). The app barely works at all. It only scans under ideal conditions and not well even then. It randomly stops scanning and, even when it actually creates an object, the screen shows some past scan, giving no indication of successful completion. All the thumbnails are the same image from a past scan. I could go on more but what’s the point?

LiDAR support is amazing. Wow, can’t believe this is possible without a expencive LIDAR system. This app is really smooth and the interface is elegant compared to the other 3D scanning apps + the output seems more detailed. A must have for all iPhone 12 Pro users. Great work!

Doesn’t work at all. I wish the App Store would screen apps for compatibility and functionality along with devious hidden codes. This app does not work at all. It should be removed from the App Store. Tech-support never replied.

You have to be online to export the scans???. Please refund! I tried that, I do not see any obj with textures map in the file file folder

Not working. So, after the update I can scan again. The problem is the scans are just looking like clay with no actual image.

Not worth purchasing!. I bought this based on the reviews. I should have known better, I couldn’t find anything out there to give a non biased review nobody has even bothered! Now I see why, the app will only let you scan an object with forward facing camera for about 5 seconds. Not nearly enough to get a good scan. Also every new scan shows the first scan made as the one just completed until you hit save. I can’t believe I paid for this crap! Free apps do a better job hands down!

Doesn’t work. This is a forward facing app only, don’t know how the video shows otherwise. Can’t get it to scan anything correctly

Do NOT waste your time downloading this app.. When the "+" is tapped to add a scan, the app closes. AppAdvice promoted this app on June 25, 2024 and obviously they didn't try it. I'm deleting this app now.

Can’t tell paid reviews from legit. Dropped my $9.99 down on this based on the screenshots. Quality is very poor.

Buying this was a privacy mistake. I didn’t read this app’s description closely enough. Models are uploaded to Firebase for storage. Huh? Never heard of Firebase. Well, they’re owned by Google - whom I don’t trust at all - and they were just sued for “allegedly” violating user privacy by using Firebase user data for tracking. The app also used AdMob, another Google company. I’m deleting the app and will treat this as a lesson learned.

Bad. Very glitchy app. Short time limit on scanning which means you can’t create detailed scans. There are free apps that are much better. The positive reviews are probably faked. Don’t waste your money.

Lidar scanner. Wanted to play around with scanning all other apps make it too expensive to even see what it is like. Trying to capture my whole house in one scan is rough but the app is good at what it does.

Needs help. The UI makes it look like a quality scan is happening, and I believe it is, but the app is super buggy. I will update my review if the app gets updated. As it currently is I do t recommend it.

Lidar scanner. This app just blew me away. I had low expectations for a lidar scan from a phone but I exported the generated model that this app made of my living room and it is great. I’m really impressed by this 3D scanner app.

Crashes when adding new. It seems the add a scan button is behaving as an exit button.

How to change camera to back facing one?. I don’t see how to change the camera to the normal rear facing one on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. There is no icon in the interface. When pressing + there are two options: point cloud and mesh but no help in the app. Will be glad to change rating if the camera selection issue can be resolved. I have spent the last 15 minutes trying to find it.

Waste of Money. Awkward trying to use the front camera of iPhone X. When you finally start scanning, the program struggles to capture basic objects like my bike seat. Save your money.

Worthless app. It only uses the face view camera so you can only scam your face, otherwise you are driving it blind. Does not make use of lidar. Absolute waste of money, all the free apps are better! I want a refund!

Bad app. Doesn’t work at all really disappointing considering how much it cost. Judging by all the names of the people with the reviews I’d say these are fake accounts just to beef up the reviews. Not happy with this at all

Crashes. The concept sounds great, how ever every time you try to create a scan the program shuts down on a 3rd generation iPad Pro runningv17.2

Scan not, scam.. Doesn’t work. I was robbed!

Fraudulent App. This is a barebones, hardly functional app. BUYER BE AWARE LOOK AT THE REVIEW HISTOGRAM! The reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star; the 5 star reviews are from bots.

Expensive and mediocre. Expensive! All scans are mediocre. No post-processing options. Ugly interface, it crashes…

No good. This is a very stupid app, the 5 star review are all both, I try it. It can not even turn the camera. Just waste your time and money

Scam garbage. Piece of garbage. It doesn’t work well, it chargers 14.00 cad for an app you can get for free. Scam! A: About charging $$ in your answer, the one I got is totally free, using the same engine you have used but working much better! Yet, a scam for me and for the real users who got scammed by you! The positive votes are bots!

Several ways to scan. Seem to work ok.. Seems to Upload your scans to the cloud without permission. Don’t see anyway to save locally. Edit: the developer responded and in fact the scans are saved locally. I was wrong, apologies. Possibly making it more visible would help.

Cant use the back camera. I cant use my back camera on my iphone 12 pro, theres no option...

Another manufactured rating - DO NOT BUY. I tried it and promptly deleted the app as everything is a download. If you were seriously selling a one time purchase app you would not make anything cloud based... instead you made everything a download. Waiting to get my money back from this piece of crap.

Can’t export colour points.. This seems to be a pretty good scanning program, but there’s very little support online to show how to scan properly. There is no help within the app. So far I haven’t found a way to export point clouds with color. The Scanning’s are very difficult to do because you have to go at exactly the right speed or it’ll shut down on you mid scan which is not ideal,Forcing you to have to do it all over again! Overall it’s been very frustrating and pretty much a waste of time.

Generates a good point cloud. Seems to only export a texture less point cloud instead of a generated mesh. Keep that in mind!
