Customer Service 5 Stars. The app could use some work for BOTM, but their customer service and friendliness is what made the experience the best. My book club recently had to cancel and every single girl in the club said their customer service during us cancelling was excellent. That is what matters and keeps customers coming back. We didn’t cancel because of the experience, we cancelled because our jobs are picking back up and we couldn’t keep up with the club! True customer service is being able to maintain it even during canceling!

My personal challenge to read. After purchasing Book of the Month for my daughter for 2 years, I thought it might be a good way to challenge myself to read more. I have never been disappointed with the variety of books offered each month. I can always find one book that interest me, and most months I want at least 3! I also feel that it is a good value for hardback books.

BOTM is great, App stinks. BOTM is great though I’ve only been in it a couple months so far. I’m enjoying the choices for the most part and like that I can try out some books I might not normally choose. The app, on the other hand, stinks. I use my iPad for most everything and the BOTM app is made for a phones that only shows up sideways on my iPad. It’s clearly not formatted for a tablet. I would be much more apt to use it were it formatted for tablets instead of only for phones. Very annoying. Still enjoying the book club itself though. My only complaint on that is that it’s May 29 and we still can’t see the June 1 books and the BOTM FB group is filled with 20+ individual threads wondering what the June books will be. Why they approve so many of the exact same threads is beyond me when the group would be far more enjoyable with just 1 prediction thread and 20 discussions about the books themselves rather than 20 prediction threads receiving the same comments and only 1 discussion thread. Yeah, there are more, but they’re all lost in a sea of “Gosh - what 5 books will be available in June?” Threads. Sigh. Anyway - please fix the app so it’s good for tablets. Thanks!

Really good, but lack of bookemojis. When you have to review a book, there are only three bookemojis to choose from. I’d really wish they would add a neutral face one because sometimes the books aren’t bad - they’re just not for some individuals (I.e books where I couldn’t keep reading but I don’t think deserve a sad face emoji because, others might possibly like it). Otherwise, this subscription is affordable and the books they have are awesome the majority of the time. I already have a friend joining since they want to try it out too.

A little disappointing. I love reading; I probably read 4 or 5 books a month. So, I thought this subscription service would be a great opportunity to have a book sent to me that I might not normally read! I had the subscription service for 3 months and have really not enjoyed the books I’ve received. After looking through all the months for the past year, it really seems like I would’ve only enjoyed 1 or two months of the year. The reason for two stars is that the selection of books is limited and it is SO difficult to cancel the subscription. No cancel button or option is available on the app or website, not very accommodating. I would say to make sure to check through the previous months’ books before subscribing, to make sure you’d be interested in the choices!

10/10 recommend. Stumbled across this app and thought I would give it a try. Turns out to be my favorite app! I’m always grabbing too many books at the book store and it me longer to read them than I’d like. This app allows you to build credits if you’re not finished with your book yet and you can come back later to use the credit. At first I thought I could only get the books they were highlighting for the month, but I was mistaken. All of the books I have received have been amazing! To the point that I cannot put them down. If you’re looking for a quick, easy, and cheap way to amp up your book collection BOTM is the way to go! 10/10 recommend!

Now I’m notified of the books ASAP!. Finally a Book of the Month app!! My grandma was a member of the original BOTM over 50 years ago. Now I’ve been a member for almost 3 years (and I’m a BFF -- so awesome!). Every month, my friends and I wait patiently for the books to be announced, and then I scramble to log in on my phone and check out the new books ASAP. Now with the app it’s so quick and easy to check out all the books, pick a book (or skip sometimes), and even just browse for other books to add to my personal TBR list. Love it!

Audiobooks - major glitches. I exclusively use the BOTM app for audiobooks and have an error in the app every single day that I use it. I listen to audiobooks in about 5 different apps depending where I’ve borrowed/purchased from, and this app is without a doubt the least reliable and lacks important common features. Every time I enter the app each morning, it has lost my place in the audiobook and rewinds me a large chunk backward. Fine, I thought... I’ll just bookmark before I exit. But no, unfortunately there is no bookmark function. The other problem I have every day is that it forgets my speed. I listen on 1.5 and the app will suddenly change my speed back to 1.0 completely on its own. The app will still display the 1.5 speed but it’s playing at 1.0. This happens both when I enter the app each morning and throughout listening time. And those of you who like to control your speed will probably be disappointed to see there are very limited speed choices. I’m a 1.7-1.8 listener most of the time, but the app only gives you .5 increments. Not a huge deal but also other apps have control down to .05, so this feels lacking. Lastly I’d love to see BOTM remove the caps on how many audiobooks you can buy each month. I thought BOTM would be a great solution for my audiobook habit and was ready to subscribe but I’m going to hold off until they fix and modernize their app.

Love BOTM but the app is a scam. Great subscription, great service, reasonably priced, but I feel like the app has scammed me out of three of my twelve credits. There needs to be more explanation about how credits are applied, in particular there needs to be a confirmation page/notice explaining how audiobooks only take credits. I thought I could just look for a price but it immediately took a credit without giving me the option to see my order summary. Called customer service and they couldn’t reverse it. Again, great subscription but why can’t the app be more user friendly/have more explanations for users.

The ONLY subscription service worth the money. I’m guilty of always signing up for free trials and promptly cancelling subscriptions after a month. I’ve officially made it a year with BOTM and I couldn’t be happier. Not only am I incentivized to read again, but the books are all hard cover (which, if you buy books you can attest it’s a great bang for your buck). Overall 10/10, I rave to my friends about BOTM constantly!

Great Customer Service👌. I’m a new subscriber and I’m astonished by how GREAT BOTM’s customer service is!!! I called to change an order, but since they told me that wasn’t possible they just gave me a free credit to use next month (while also letting me keep my messed up order) Honestly I’m in awe at how incredibly generous and kind the workers here are. This is my first ever review of any app but I just felt like I HAD to after that interaction! The prices itself are highly affordable and the shipping (which is always free) is fast and comes packaged very neatly. I don’t regret subscribing at all!! Highly recommend🌟

Wish Memberships were more flexible. The app and interface are great, and I love the concept. However as someone who reads slow, I wish there was an “every other month” membership option. As far as I can tell, my only option is to “skip” a month, meaning I still pay but receive a credit to use later. Unfortunately will have to probably pause my membership after the books pile up!

My favorite thing!!. BOTM is my favorite thing!! I absolutely love being a member. I love staying up to date with what books are coming out every month. I love that I can get brand new titles at such good prices. I also really love their set up - the app makes browsing and shopping so easy!! I also appreciate that their selections are often from all different genres. I often end up selecting books I never would have paid attention to if BOTM didn’t introduce me to them. Now, many of my top ten reads of the year come from BOTM. If you are not a member, I highly recommend checking them out!! Who doesn’t want monthly happy mail filled with books (and fun book marks)! Five stars, all the thumbs up, infinity happy faces.

Great program but just not for me. I have been using BOTM since December, and think it is a great program. The app is so helpful and clear to navigate and the club itself is a great way to fall in love with reading through fun challenges and goals. However, the books just aren’t for me. I have gotten about 5 books and they all sounded great, but left me a little disappointed. I also don’t really enjoy many of the book’s styles and I feel like they are all very similar. People who enjoy this style and tone will love this club. It’s just not for me. Maybe if they had people take a survey when they get the app in order to see all of the authors, styles, genres people like they could mix it up a little.

Just right. This app is everything it needs to be, and no fluff. The UI is clear and non-fussy. It’s a quick job to hop on and choose the BOTM for me & for my husband each month. If I want, I can dig deeper on titles I’m not familiar with. Tons of reviews and sample chapters make me pretty confident about my choices. There’s a TBR I can add to books I’m planning to get with an add-on. If I want more, they’ve got gamified badges you can earn based on books you’ve read (Debuts, etc). And the BFF loyalty program ROCKS — every year I get a free extra book during my birthday month, PLUS my choice of the five finalists for Book of the Year. There’s no charge, you just remain a member for 12 months and it’s auto-added to your account. And just wow, in these days a 9.99 hardback is quite a bargain!!

Enjoyable Reading. The books I have read from this club are ones I wouldn’t normally even know about. Such unique stories. I enjoy reading so much more now. Even when it’s a month that at first glance, I don’t think I want to pick a book, I am always surprised when I go ahead and order one. I have loved 99% of these books! And I give them away so others will enjoy them too! Love a good hardback book!!!

Are you a reader?. If yes, sign up! The great thing about this monthly subscription is that you can always skip a month, in case you don’t feel like recovering book(s) for the month. I love that you can also add books for a lesser price. There are almost always amazing options. The shipping is quick and the app helps you keep track of what you have read. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading but needs a little help finding a good read every now and then.

Painfully Bad Books. The app itself is great - great UI and easy to navigate. The concept is also a really good way to remind yourself to read. However, BOTM’s model completely collapses because the books are horrible. I stuck with the service for a full 12 months and only liked one of the books I received. The others were, without exception, basic, childish and cliche. I am not a picky reader, but many of them were truly painful to get through. I have never left an app review before but the most recent book I received was SO bad I had to post this. Stick to recommendations from friends or literally any other online source.

No stars. I have been interested in this app for quite some time since seeing them in IG and am an avid reader. I decided to take the plunge over a holiday weekend when they were running a promotion. Very disappointed to say the least.. the site isn’t what it say’s it is. You are only allowed to choose from the that month’s choices NOT as they say “or any of the other choices of books” they have on site, those are considered “ADD ON’S” and only once you got that particular months option already. But in my case, there were so many buggy tech problems I couldn’t even get to purchase the book I really didn’t want, to get to the add on that I did want!! And when I canceled my membership they do not refund your money either, and you still cannot use up your credit🧐🤨

I loveeee it. I’ve been a member for almost a year now and I downloaded the app as soon as it became available. I love how it’s easy to use and helps me choose a book even faster than when I receive the emails. Also there are push notifications so I’ll find out when the new books are announced right away. I’ll be able to pick my books before members who only get emails do lol! And I really like looking at all the books on it, except now I’m worried I’m going to buy way more hahah.

Great way to get your reading in!. I’ve been a reader ever since I was a child growing up into adulthood. As someone who has ADD, reading kept my mind going rather than staring at a screen for hours. I personally do not have the attention span to sit down and watch a show for more than 30 minutes. However, lately finding the time to read has become difficult to find and even more difficult to find a good book to indulge in late nights when my mind keeps racing. BOTM is a fantastic way to have books of the month picked out for you to choose from and by the end of the year you have read 12 books! Also, it’s a great way to find great authors that you have not heard from before. Thank you BOTM!

BOTM obsessed. It did not take long for me to become fully addicted to botm. I’ve always been an avid reader, but there’s a different kind of joy and excitement that comes every month from selecting my book choice and then getting that blue box in the mail. The app is super user friendly and a great way to check in on your membership. I love the company and feel appreciated as a member with all the fun perks. I can’t wait until I’m an official bff and get even more perks

The Gift of Reading. I started BOTM club with money I received for my birthday. It was a great decision because when choices of books popped up every month, I loved trying to decide what genre I was drawn to that month. I have read about so many different cultures, family experiences and unique situations from many types of people. The books are such a nice size. Holding a real hard copy book is such a treasure.

I love this so much. I enjoy reading books a lot but I am never able to find well priced books until I heard about book of the month. I am very happy that they come with bookmarks too. I also like how they are all hardcover books and are all the same size. Although I think that the app needs a little improvement I think this is a very good solution to book problems. <3

Hawaii Residents beware of shipping delays: Good subscription box, shipping delays to Hawaii. On my third month with BOTM and I’m impressed with the app navigation, book selections, and how easy it is to add on books to your box! People have been leaving reviews that they get their box within 1-2 weeks after selecting their book but it’s taking me about over a month to receive it! Benefits of living in Hawaii but I really don’t mind since it’s not BOTM problems but USPS. BOTM ships out the order within a week so that’s nice! Will continue to subscribe as they have all the hardcover books I want each month and it’s a great deal. Just picked Babel for my Dec. pick!!! Excited!!!

Horrible for audiobooks. I have started to use credits for audiobooks as BOTM has a decent selection of them, however this app is incredibly frustrating in more than one way. First of all, finding the list of audiobooks in my library is inconvenient. But most frustrating is the unreliability of the app. Every time I listen, the app will close several times throughout my session. Often times the app will just pause at the beginning of a new chapter, requiring me to press play to start it again. The most recent glitch is when trying to press play after the app spontaneously paused, the book will not restart. I cannot believe this app has such great reviews. I’m looking forward to using up the rest of my credits, listening to the rest of my library, and ending my book of the month subscription.

I love Book of the Month. As a Master’s Candidate studying English Literature I love receiving my Book of the Month box in the mail. I know that it will be filled with excited and most talked about books (of my choosing). They are great to talk about with friends because they are popular ones that everyone wants to read or are currently reading. Book of the Month helps fight against aliteracy with interesting and thrilling reads delivered every month. And if you don’t like the books of the month you can skip and put the credit toward another month. Super fun way to read.

Best Customer Service!!. I never leave reviews for anything, but I had to write a review for BOTM!! I love this subscription service so much, and the ease of being able to get a monthly book and take months off with no questions asked is amazing. Every book I have gotten so far has been incredible! They also have incredible customer service!! I have now had 2 monthly books in the 6 months I’ve been a member not be delivered (got lost in the mail, issues with moving addresses, etc) and both times they have gotten back to me and sent a replacement in an incredibly timely fashion!! I can’t recommend this service enough, and can’t wait to see next months books :)

App needs to be fixed - audiobook. I have been a member of book of the month for 2 years now and I am impressed by how far it has come. I love how they added audio book options as well as the continuous quality read offering every month. However, I wish they fix their app so that audio books are accessible even in airplane mode and fix the glitch of not remembering where the audio book last ended. This is a crucial short coming and I hope work is done on this immediately.

Inflexible Challenge Settings. I love the books that I have gotten through BOTM, but had a disappointing experience working through the annual challenge. I pushed myself to finish a book by the end of 2022 to fully complete the challenge. When I reviewed the book, it applied it to 2023, even though the book was purchased, read, AND reviewed all in 2022. It feels scam-ish to try to make it more difficult to achieve the badges (and earn whatever the gift is). I would recommend that they allow user input for the dates that books were read and use that to apply credit toward challenges. Love the club, app could be better reward book lovers for loving books.

Could use some work. I love book of the month! I love being a BFF member. But the app needs some work. It’s very very glitchy and very slow. I tried for 3 days to order books in the app but it kept glitching out and would shut down so I eventually just had to go in the web. Also, it takes a long time to hear back from customer service so don’t expect to get the “exclusive access” like they promise you as incentive to become a member. It’s not true. They do respond, but it takes days. I took almost a year long break as I needed to catch up on my TBR list, but also the book selection became not great. I rejoined again and the selection was better when I returned, so that was a pleasant change.

Eh.. The book selections are okay. Not the best, not the worst. They have a few heavy hitters now and then but most of the books are about 3 star books. The app is atrocious. It glitches a lot, never tells you why you have a notification in the app, but you’ll somehow always have one. On the plus side, you get a free book for your birthday and for Book of the Year, when you’re a BFF. Always a nice perk. It’s also nice that you can skip a month whenever you don’t love something (but it happens more often than not unfortunately)

Love BOTM! But their support needs help.. I’ve been a member for a little over a year now and have enjoyed every single moment up until about a month ago. Someone stole my credit card number and BOTM didn’t get updated soon enough with my new one. I tried to update it in the app and it kept giving me an error which was frustrating. I emailed support and I still haven’t heard from them. I happened to be on a work computer when I got an email THREE WEEKS after the initial email and fixed it there but really? NO RESPONSE FROM SUPPORT AT ALL. I’m not very impressed

BOTM REVIEW AFTER 2 YEARS. I really like BOTM but there are some things about it that really frustrates me. One, is that if you don’t like the BOTM choices you can only pick from “ member faves” which would be fine except they are the same kind of books as already being offered. For example it’ll offer a sciencey romance, a POC storyline, a mystery, and then the faves to choose from will be along the same genre lines. It’s severely disappointing. I’ve absolutely LOVED some of the books that have been offered but I wish sooo much there was more variety, it’s so disappointing when none of the books are interesting and I can’t just pick one from my TBR without getting one I don’t want. Do better BOTM. Step it up.

Favorite Subscription Ever!. I’m so happy I learned about Book of the Month! I’ve been a member for 3 months now and I truly can say, I wish I would’ve known about this sooner!! The choices for which hardcovers and audiobooks you can pick each month are so different that there’s really something for everyone. When you’re trying to decide on a book, I love that there are reviews, the synopsis, tags about genre, key themes, & plot and even previews. You can add-on other books as well! Shipping is extremely fast which I am so pleased with! Customer service is great and you’re constantly getting perks for staying a member. Honestly, there’s no negative aspects to BOTM. I foresee that I’ll be a member of BOTM for years to come! I highly recommend anyone to give it a try. Once you get your first box, you’ll be hooked!

Love the app and BOTM!. Getting 12+ books a year is wonderful but this app makes it even easier! You can track your progress, review books, find specific titles, and discover new authors! Plus, you can even get achievement awards when you complete all the badges on the app (iOS). It’s super easy to use and very well organized. I enjoy seeing my subscription and being able to search for new books each month. You can get up to 3 a month and I do! Such a wonderful app/subscription box.

Wow. I am furious.. I have belonged to Book of the Month Club for over a year. I was always very pleased and happy with their service. At the end of this year, I was one book away from finishing Book Boss badge. I logged into the app on the 29th to finish my badge. The app already switched to the new year. I have been a BFF for over a year, so I called the BFF line. They tried their hardest but they could not get into the system to retroactively add my badge. I was irritated that I still had a window of two days left, and I was unable to finish my badges. I was super disappointed, but I love the company and I decided to continue. I have 12 books (that I have purchased from Book of the Month club via subscription) that I still need to rate. I logged into the app to rate my first book of the year. It wouldn’t log on my new 2022 badges. I contacted BFF support email, and they told me that any of the books from last year DON’T COUNT toward the badges for this year. I have spent over $200 on books from this company toward book that THEY WON’T COUNT toward THEIR BADGES. What a complete and utter disappointment. I will be telling every person I know not to even consider this subscription service. WHAT A SCAM!!!!! I will not rest until everyone I know knows how greedy and shady this company is. How disgusting.

Couldn’t be happier. At first I was reluctant to sign up for a monthly club that limited my book choices. Now that I have experience behind me, I see how wrong I was. BOTM actually has widened my choices. When going to a book store, I usually pay $25 or more for one book and end up buying one that I know I will like, but usually very similar to what I have read in the past. With BOTM, I have found that the lower price and recommendations have expanded my story genre. Basically opening up new worlds for me to explore and love. I often add a book each month for $10 to my order. I also love always having books coming to me.

Missing books and difficult to reach customer service. It is April 29, 2020 and I have still not received my book I ordered the first week of April. I understand the circumstances with all that is going on, but I have struggled reaching anyone to speak with to resolve or even update me on my order. I just ordered my May book, and I look forward to getting them both soon. This seems like a fabulous idea and I can’t wait to read my books!

Awful reads, terrible selection, inaccurate reviews.. I just started and book of the month. I’ve ordered four books I’m slowly learning not to trust the review of the book. They’re usually from authors I feel like their authors paying back a favor from another author. Two of these books they said I wouldn’t be able to put it down and oh my goodness how much description of characters and landscapes does a person need? They all seem to be the same drawn out want to be drama crap. Too many people out there rather too many publishers accepting crap books-and you couldn’t find them all here at your book of the month club Put it this way I think people between the ages of 15 and 25 might find these OK but if you’re Smart and all grown up, no!

Wonderful service and prices. I love book of the month. There’s just something about having a physical book in your hand. Combine that with the fact that BOTM usually matches or is very close to the price of a digital copy and there’s just no competition. I cancelled it for a few months in an attempt to make money but missed it so much that I had to join again!! Can’t stay away! Great access to try new things or get early access to ones you know you’re going to love. Amazing service. App is very easy to use as well. No unnecessary bells and whistles. Very straightforward.

Would Like to Be Able to Rate Books I’ve Read Already. The app is functional and clean, which I like. I like the look of the app and it is easy to navigate. However, I would like to be able to rate books I’ve read but didn’t purchase through Book of the Month. I’m a new member, so my shelf is two books. But I’ve read more than a handful of past picks. It would be nice to allow readers to rate it for other readers sake if they read it, even if they didn’t buy it through you.

ThisClose to Perfect!. I have become quite addicted to my BOTM app and begin rubbing my hands together at the end of each month just waiting for the excitement of a new month of selections! It is essentially flawless in its layout and ease of use. The ONLY thing I wish it had (developers, someone, ANYONE get on this please!) is that the app offered a Wish List. Like books I want to read, but am not getting this month. Basically just a way to remind myself there is one I wanted to add on next month or order extra? Can someone make this a thing please??? Other than that, this is one of my truly favorite apps!

SO much easier!. I've been a member of BOTM for a few months now; while I love getting my little blue box each month, I found I was frequently forgetting to log in each month and stay on top of choosing my new book (I recognize this is a "me" problem). I love that this app notifies you of the new books right away, and now I can easily just hop on my phone, view and choose books without having to log in on a browser. I travel a lot so this is super convenient! The app is well designed and makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you are a BOTM member or thinking of becoming one!

Love the books, not the program. At first the book of the month seemed like a good deal, and it is if you stay on top of it. But god forbid you forget to skip a month and you get a credit for an add-on book. I have 2 credits and 2 add-ons I’d like to order with those, but I can’t get them unless I get a book for the month as well. Also, credits can’t be used for your book of that month, so you have to pay additional money regardless, therefore forcing me to buy more than I want. I don’t appreciate the lack of flexibility and will be canceling as soon as I get the books for credits I already paid for.

Better Book Selections!. BOTM isn’t bad but it’s not all that as what some ppl are claiming it to be. It’s a life saver due to the library here are closed due to COVID-19. The books selections are not very good. I’ve been skipping a couple of months due to the book selections. I do like I can buy an extra book for 9.99. In a bookstore, I’m paying at least 25 for one book! But I don’t like I have to wait until the beginning of the month to buy another book. I’m a fast reader so why should I have to wait!? That’s very annoying. I can’t see myself being in this book club much longer if the book selections don’t get better. Who is picking these books by the way?! Since we’re paying for the membership, as members we should be able to take a survey or something and pick out books.

Love This Service. I’ve been a BOTM member for a few years now and it is the highlight of every month for me. I get mor and more excited as the month comes to a close, knowing that a new book selection is coming my way. The books are always so interesting and I love having the opportunity to find something new that I’ve never heard of or something that everybody has been talking about or waiting to release. Early access to new releases is so exciting. And the app has made it all so much easier to keep track of.

Highly Recommended. I love to read as a hobby. If I could do it as a job I would! During the first part of Covid I had to take a break because I was the only one in my household working at the time. I was so sad I missed the BOM for a couple of months. I’m so excited to be back and now I have more time on my hands to be able to read. Thank you for opening up the door to read books that I would never pick for myself. You take the guess work out of finding a great book! I still have tons of them to read but I can’t wait to choose each month. I no longer have a shoe obsession I have a book obsession. Okay truthfully I might be obsessed to both.

You would not be let down, expect to like something you would not expect to like.. I’ve always found it difficult to go into a book store and find a truly phenomenal book. So I decided to try book of the month and I’ve been with them for 3 months and have purchased 2 book of the month along 2 extra books and my 3rd book of the month on its way because they have been just really good books and I found myself reading certain genre I didn’t think I would be interested in so I’d give it a try. My first book I read was “The undoing of June Farrow” 👌 awesome book.

Best Subscription I have ever used. I have been actively using BOTM since January 2019 and I love it! My goal for 2019 was to read at least one book a month and I read 18 books last year. I look forward to the books each month! There are always great selections and I’m usually torn between 2 or 3 of them. I love that BOTM has added an app. It make it easier than ever to choose the book(s) I want. My reason for a 4 star (really 4.5) vs a 5 star review is that I would love to see a “Wish List” feature added to the website/app. Although I do read regularly my add-on stack has piled up. I currently have 8 on the to-be read pile! Every month I want to add on but I need to get through with what I have right now. So having a feature that lets you flag books that spark your interest each month would be great. I would have especially have loved a feature like this in January as it just so happened that I had 2 free add on’s since it was when I achieved BFF status and it was my birthday. Thank you BOTM for all that you do! Especially during our current COVID-19 crisis! Silver lining, that to-be read stack is slowing thinning.

Fun way to choose books!. I love BOTM! So glad you decided to expand to Canada!

Often has loading issues. Please fix the app. It often won’t open. I get a white screen only. Should not have to constantly uninstall and reinstall an app for it to work. Very frustrating!

My Only Issue with the App. I absolutely love BOTM! The service is amazing, the app is easy to navigate, but EVERY MONTH I get stuck with the app saying I have a notification. Even if I open the app to clear it, the notifications stays there. It bothers me to no end!! I’ve even tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app, and the notification is still there when I log back in! It irritates me so much!!!! How can I make it go away?? I’ve updated the app ever time there’s an update available, and that does nothing. HELP!!!

The Book Club. So nice to have great books to read again. I used to read long time ago and I just retired last year, reading was one of the things I really wanted to go back to…., since I started The Book Club is been so easy to just wake up from my nap and pick up a great book. So happy😍

The Subscription That Feeds Your Soul. I have been BOTM member for several years now. Any reader will understand the thrill of placing an order for a new release or upcoming release book. I also use the monthly choices to place books on hold at my library. Customer service is one of the best that I have ever experienced. My questions have always been answered with promptness and courtesy.

Poor execution of a great idea. BOTM is a great idea in principle but they way they do it leaves a lot to be desired. First: not enough choices each month. This would be fine if I could use my credit to choose an old book, but you can only choose old books as an add-on when choosing a BOTM. Second: unless you’re a far-left liberal, you will dislike/hate most of the book selections. Hey BOTM- not everyone is a liberal. Maybe put some choices up for the other HALF of America?

I love book of the month. I love book of the month and the new app makes it so easy to select books. I add books on every month but have to stop myself from adding too many. I wish there was a “save for later” option so I could remember all the books I want to add later.

So fun!. This is something I look forward to. Since the coronavirus shut down, I have missed my local library but this allows me to get new release books right away at a cheaper price. Usually they are ones that I am waiting to read but this way I can get them faster. I love the little BOTM logo embossed on the books.

Best Gift for All the Bookworms in Your Life!!!!. I purchased BOTM for my mom X-Mas 2021 and she recently told me that it’s the best gift she has ever received in her life. All the books are great, they arrive the exact time every month and after 12 months she still gets excited. Continuing my membership indefinitely.

The app needs work. BOTM is a great way for addict book readers, like myself, to have access to a variety of novels BUT the app needs some serious work. When you select different genres, like mystery or romance they don’t show you the full selection they have in store. Instead you get to see the first 6 and there’s this loading symbol that will continue for hours. You’re unable to see the full selection and it’s very annoying!

The app is great!. The app is great and makes selections super easy each month! My only suggestion would be to add a “Save for Later” button. I like to do add-ons but in case I want to wait to add on a book next month because I’ve reached my budget limit, it would be nice to have a running list of books I wanted to add on to my main BOTM.

Read Read Read. Brought a book on vacation to my sisters house that I had started but never finished. I should have known better than bring that book. It’s unusual but if I don’t finish a book and there is a reason. Could NOT get into it to finish. Worked out for the best because my niece lent me a couple of her BOTM books and I have been hooked since. Love the previews and reviews.

The Sundown Motel. This book kept me on my toes! I like the way if alternated between 1982 and 2017. The female characters from both eras were likable and very strong. I think my favorite part of this book was the ghost story. There is nothing like a good ghost story. I even felt a bit creeped out while reading certain sections. All in all, I really liked this book.

Best monthly club ever. I’ve been able to bet so many new books, authors, stories, and all on my time. The best part is, I can skip, or build up credits if I can’t read quick enough. I love this club and all the goodies I’ve found along the way. And all for under the cost of books at box stores.

Adding books to the shelf. I am an avid reader, love buying books, borrowing books, searching for books to read... I wish I could add books to the shelf that I borrowed from other BOTM members! That would be even more fun to expand the library without having to focus only on the ones I’ve received through BOTM. Even adding my other BOTM pals on the app so we can share what books we are reading and what we think of them would be super nice.

I love this.... I love books, and I’m sure most BOTM customers feel the same. I’ve always struggled in finding new books to read. When I run out of books, I find myself revisiting classics and my own personal favorites, but I never went out of my way to find new reads. This app does an excellent job of picking the monthly books - I’m never disappointed. Thank you BOTM!

Audiobooks. I like book of the month and enjoy their books. I decided to try out an audiobook. It was great at first. Then halfway through the book, the audio was fine for the first couple of minutes of the chapters but then there was no sound. I existed out of the app even shut my phone off but still the audio would just stop. I don’t know why it’s doing that or what is wrong with it. Also I think they should add more options for how sped up you want the audio

BOTM is the BEST book subscription box!. I officially made it to BFF status! I love Book of the Month! I look forward to the books dropping each month and then can’t wait for that blue box to arrive in my mailbox. I’ve discovered so many wonderful authors & books because of this subscription!

One happy book worm!. This is such nicely designed app — it makes it even easier for me to pick out and get excited about my monthly book. I love the “Good to Know” section and the cute icons that tell me if I should expect a “slow burn” or “fast read.” It also lets me know if a book is challenging, and what other readers thought about it.

I love BOTM!. Book of the month is one of the best book boxes in the game! Not only do you get beautiful copies of brand new books for a good price, you get the option to add on other books for much less than you would pay in the store! I have two bookshelves full of my BOTM books and I get compliments on them so much :)

What’s wrong with mine?. I’ve have this app for a few months now so overall I have 7 books but I says I’ve got 2 in my “book boss” shelf. In the genre genie it says I’ve only read one genre when that’s not right either. I’ll rate a book and it’ll say I should rate it afterwards. The app is up to date so I’m confused as to why this app is so far behind

Wonderful gift. I received this as a Christmas gift from my daughter. I am not a consistent reader and have joined book clubs to take the time to read! This is an awesome gift! The book selection was always a plus and I read books I would have never picked at a library. Loved it❤️

Unexpectedly AMAZING. I have been reading for a long time and I just got my first box! It was a hard cover book and all my fellow book readers know how expensive hard cover books are! In the box was a nice pamphlet and the book was in perfect condition and so was the box. It arrived within 3 days! I promise any people looking into this that it is NOT a scam!!!!!!!

I love Book of the Month. If I could I would thank Harry Scherman, creator of this company for all the wonderful adventures I’ve experienced through the books I’ve selected. Unfortunately I can’t because he died in 1969 but his legacy lives on through this service. I will always have this subscription. It’s the only one you need and it’s absolutely worth having.

Love the Club - Hate the app. LOVE the club but hate the app. For weeks it has had a spinner showing the page is loading when I try to see what add-ons are available. This has been going on for awhile so I don’t know why they haven’t fixed it. Also, I tried to go to their webpage on my phone & it won’t work there either. Keeps showing an error message & to try again later. Very annoyed that I’m going to have to drag out my laptop to be able to make my choices & see what’s available. Hopefully it’s at least working there. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!

Helps me choose my books!. This app makes it so much easier to choose my books now! It's super easy to use, and with app notifications, I won't have to wait around for the announce emails anymore. I just get a notification of new books, pick what I want, and then I'm done. Love it!

Doesn’t care about their members. I have been a BOTM member for over five years and until recently had no problems. I had my credit card stolen and once I got a new one and tried to update my billing information, the app informed me I had lost all of my benefits (called being a BOTM BFF). When I reached out to ask if the technicality could be fixed, they told me I would have to show another year of loyalty before being restored. Apparently, five years isn’t enough “loyalty” to obtain base level customer service.

Winter in Paradise. I really liked this booked. It shows what is left behind after a loss in a family. Irene, loses her husband in a plane crash, in the Caribbean, and finds out he had another family, down there. She tells her children, of their father’s death, then goes in search of truth, acceptance, and love. We watch the pain, mourning and strength emerge from Irene on her journey.

A little disappointing..... I am disappointed more months with the book selections than I am satisfied. I am glad that this month there’s a new feature where you can either skip the month or choose a member favorites. I hate skipping months but 9 times out of 10 the 5 selections are not anything I’m interested in. I wish there were more selections or at least let us choose an add on as our BOTM. Aside from that the app is great.

BOTM is amazing!. I just subscribed to BOTM this year and I’m so glad I did. I made it a goal this year to try to read a book every month and so far I have. The books are great and they’re definitely hard to put down. I’m always excited to look at the new releases every month. I definitely recommend BOTM!

BOTM? Love it. Their app? MEH.. I love BOTM. Been subscribed for over 2 years now. But the apps new layout is awful and not very user friendly. I miss being able to click on a challenge and seeing which books would qualify. Instead of clicking on each book to see which one will for certain challenges. Also, you can search books by “bookmoji” but only certain ones. I wish you could search by any bookmoji.

Great customer service, solid options. I love BOTM. The customer service is fast and generous in solving problems. The service is reasonably priced and it’s a great self care gift to myself 😍. There is a wide variety of options you can choose, and if you don’t like one of the monthly books, you can choose another from their (very large) library or skip the month. Highly recommend!

Keeping my love of books alive!. I love BOTMC - it makes grabbing a book easy! I love supporting my local bookstores by visiting once a month but I also live the excitement of receiving a well anticipated new release or old favorite each month in my ‘happy snail mail’. Pigeon Carrier and Boring Reads. I’m convinced BOTM uses pigeon’s to deliver their books. It should be called Book of the NEXT month because that’s when you finally receive your books. Slowest delivery and you are almost guaranteed to get books close to the end of the month even when you order on the 1st. The books all have their logo which ruins it for me AND they pick really boring books. Same style every single time. Where’s the variety? Where’s the excitement? And unless you’re a Booktube sponsored person, don’t expect to be reading anytime soon. Not worth the hype or money.

Introverts dream come true. I love reading and being a stay at home mom I find it VERY hard to spend as much time in a book store as I would like. The best affordable membership ❤️. I have BOTM for a year now and it’s so affordable, and there are some peaks that other memberships don’t have: You can skip a month and earn credit so you can use to get another book in the future, you can freeze and unfreeze your account whenever you want, there is the BFF bonuses, etc. Honestly, this is my favorite membership.

Love BOTM. I’ve always loved reading but I’ve fallen behind lately but with BOTM I’ve been reading way more than I have. I’ve finished this year with reading over my goal. All the books they pick for each month are different and exciting some I would never guess to pick out for myself.

Easy Breezy Books. I love this app so much! It has introduced me to so many books I would have never known about and also great deals on books! Very user friendly and love reading the reviews of the books! The little icons are so cute also that tell a brief overview of what to find in the book.

My Monthly Obsession. I love the books each month. I have the hardest time choosing. I love that I read a fantastic book and then find a review a month later in people. The ability to read a book before it comes out is fantastic. I love getting a book or two each month. Best money I’ve ever spent.

So far so good.. The app is really easy to use and for the past two months I have been able to find a book that piqued my interest. I was also able to add-on a book I’ve been wanting to read for a while. I’ve been enjoying the first book I received. There was just one issue with shipping, which I think is on the post office end, not BOTM.
