Not too happy...☹️. The app’s name was not clear that it is for Australia only so I have purchased the app and sure enough I have discovered after the purchase, my bad for not opening the app information. When are you going to have the app available for USA?

Give me the wind. As a professional aviator and avid cyclist this is a grat iPhone application for a quick look at your local radar image. This should not be confused with the BOM service on a professional level however the addition of some Map Features most notably "Weather observations" that includes wind direction would help determine the direction I depart on my morning rides. Great app highly recommended at this price.

Brilliant, almost perfect. I have had this app for some years and it has only got better. It is now almost perfect! If it would provide the option of displaying wind speed in knots then it would have achieved perfection. Regardless, it is absolutely brilliant. Thanks.

Great potential, but obsolete due to time delay.... This is a great app to have a reliable 'mobile' reference tool, especially when coastal weather reports are never accurate! That said, it claims to be the 'most recent radar maps', but they are 10 hours old? It makes the functionality absolutely benign... here's hoping updates will change this, or is it just my iPhone? K

Yah!. Update: new version is even better The BOM radar is excellent. I once used the web version to replace our roof while it was raining, cause I could tell basically how much time we had for incoming rain patches. Been waiting for this App cause the BOM animated radar doesn't work too well on iPhone. I guess the dev felt the same way. Thank you so much. Note: the app is a front end for the Australian Federal Government Beauru of Meterology website, rain radar. It is limited to BOM's limits, (to explain the Hobart issue) and not every point in Australia is covered full time. Complain to the federal government if this app has made you aware that your location is not monitored to your standards.

Nice look, but not quite sure. This app looks great and is simple and east. But, I just don't see how it is useful. You don't get a forecast so how can it help you make decisions about your upcoming day, activity or clothing. And, you may not even get current or even close to real time displays. Every time I've looked at the Melbourne radar it's been 8 or 9 hours previous rainfall activit. Like this morning when I woke up I had a look at about 8am and the radar it was displaying was around 22:00 last night. It told me it rained...but I already knew that, I was there. So, what exactly is the use?

Fantastic & reliable. This app and the navionics charts are a small boat owners dream come true. It gives you wind speed as well as rain. The latest update even tells you where you are on the screen. Handy if you travel out of home radar range

One of the best Rockhampton-bred iPhone Apps around. Seriously, tho, latest version is fantastic! Good to check on the way to the golf course but being radar, of course, it only shows where it is raining. Not where it's about to rain. Realised that the hard way. My fault tho, not the app

Fantastic!!!!. I already loved this app but since the update all I can say is - WOW!!!! The features are perfect and I especially love the my current location red dot & the fact you can add on railway lines & roads. You have some very happy customers!!!!!!

The best. This is the best australian radar app I have ever seen. You can pinch/zoom so the suburb labels are a readable font size and you can enable major roads and rivers to aid in finding small towns that are not labeled on the map. It can also simply find and display the nearest radar instead of requiring you to search through the entire alphabetical list like some other apps.

Perfect for outside workers. I've been used to checking the BOM radar from the office in the mornings. This interface means I get to see things any time of the day. It just needs to parse the forecasts so i can finally get rid of that yahoo weather app. Thanks for a great app.

Awesome!. I love this app! I check it several times a day living in Darwin. So handy. Only gripe is with the new upgraded version of having to go into your state and city every time you start it up. Last version just automatically went to the last place you checked. Still love it but! Five stars from me!!

Well worth the $. Application is quick and easy to use; fantastic when trying to decide wether or not to go on a fishing trip on those days when you just can't tell. I got this when it was a freebie (12 odd months ago) so it was a great little find, but I'd still happily pay for it if I wasn't so fortunate knowing what I do now.

Australian Weather Radar. Easy to use access to BOM weather radar by state and location. Works as a weather radar app, and is easier than accessing the BOM web site. Deleted because the more expensive Oz Weather provides additional weather report functions.

Food for thought. I open this app up and look at it a few times a day. But the one thing it needs is to have a little blue dot telling me where I am. I love this app but it's not finished yet and please fix the crashes. I'm getting a little over it. If you don't have the money to get it done put ads in the app. I'll look at an ad for 5 seconds to see when a storm is coming right at me

Crash and Grab. App kept crashing. Deleted it and had to reinstall it. I was charged again to download the "new" version, which is the same! Use a free one they are just as good.

Does what it says on the tin. I know there are other weather apps out there that do more but I can open this and it takes me straight to the rain radar imagery and that’s it.

Great App. This is a great app, I really like the gps dot, gives a better idea of the coming weather. Any chance you could add an address finder to plot a location other than your current location?

Awesome. Great app. Just what I was looking for. Would it be possible to have a pause after the last frame just like the BOM site? It's a minor thing, but it makes it much easier to spot the first/last frame without having to look at the times.

BOM app is win!. i have had BOM radar in my bookmarks for a year or so now, iphone app is wicked! goes hand in hand with my surf report app. btw, Melbourne radar has been down for a while now, its not the app, its the actual BOM radar, i cant access it on my home PC wither.

Love the red location dot!!. This is such a handy little app and it's easy to use. I use it all the time to see if I should put the soft top up on the car or not. The new red dot that shows your exact current location is amazing! It takes the guess work out of knowing where you are on the radar. Can't fault this app at all :)

Radar images. Is anyone else having trouble with the radar images. They used to move, showing direction rain was coming/going. Now I only get a still image, no movement . Have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change

Really impressed. You're right, Safari doesn't cope well with BoM radar pages & this fits the bill perfectly in my opinion. Easier to view radar maps than in Safari ... and it is priced right too

Does what it says but could use a little improvment.. This app does exactly as it state but only gets 3 stars from me because it needs a little polish and some improvement. Things i would like to see in future updates. 1. get rid of splash screen, seeing as the author isn't giving themself any credit it doesn't serve any purpose (or at least an option to turn it off. 2. zoom the map, using finger taps like safari 1 finger tap for in 2 finger tap for out 3. parse some other info from the BOM like there predictions and warnings. 4. see your aprox location on the radar map using iphone gps. when it does these 5 stars otherwise a great app

Much better. I downloaded the original version but deleted it soon after because it was frustratingly slow and never seemed to be up to date. This version is fat better laid out, and much more polished. Hopefully the developers will be able to incorporate the BOM's forecasting into future versions. Then it would the ultimate (and most accurate) Australian weather app.

Great app. Previously I had an App called Rain? It was great. Then one day they stuffed it up busy replacing the radar images with something that looked like a crayon drawing on your screen. So I deleted it. This app brings back the original maps from BOM to your iOS device. I am happy to pay the small amount to get it. Seems to also have wind too

Latest version rocks !. Fantastic new update with wind speed / direction, rainfall since 0900, current temp mashed over the map. Being able to set a favourites list is a great feature. Would like to be able to give this app 6 stars !

Cool. This is great and I suspect the next update will make it even better. It does take a whilst to load even on a WIFI network, almost too long to load. Would be great if you could zoom in too, other than that it's great and I use it all the time. One other suggestion that would be cool would be a ticket tape or a tab where you can view any weather alerts / warnings, that would be cool. I look forward to the next update.

Brilliant App for pilots!!. THANKS A MILLION for your BOM radar app. I am an airline pilot and find it incredible useful to quickly have a look at the radar picture for our destination while sitting in the flight deck during a quick turnaround and there is simply no time get off the airplane to access a computer terminal. Well done, and I can tell you that I have showed this app to several other pilots and it has been the last convincing argument they needed to go and get an iPhone for themselves!! Thanks again - your work is a real contribution to improve flight safety.

Why did I buy this. Stupid app??? All my friends have this app and they say "it's the best" so I decided to buy it, well for $1.19 it seemed like the thing to do. No I saw POCKET WEATHER AUSTRALIA and that has 100% more stuff that you can do, including the radar. I say Plz don't go cheap like me and buy this app when you can spend the $2.49 and get an app that is 100% better. I'm really considering deleting this app and buying POCKET WEATHER AUSTRALIA for the $2.49 Terrible interface, crashes in certain cities, sometimes won't load, just don't feel right to look at. Again don't go cheap or buy this app cause ur mates think it's the best. Spend the $2.49 and get a real app.

Great, but needs a new feature.. This app is amazing and my mum absolutely loves it. I think that if you added an option to show you current location on the map, so if I was looking at the Melbourne radar, I could then press a button and it would show me exactly where I was, just like in maps. If you did this I would recommend this app to heaps of my friends. Thankyou. But overall, a great app.

No radar on Gold Coast?. What a joke? Being one of the most famous city in Australia and no radar is available there

Excellent. This app has saved my cars from hail damage a number of times now. I check it out all the time and see when the storms are coming giving me enough time to get the cars up to the undercover parking at the shopping centre! Thanks :)

Nothing More Nothing Less. I’ve been using this app for ten years. It has exactly what I want to view the various rain radars around the country. I’m amazed it still runs after 13 years. The developer must have followed Apple Guidelines to the letter. Most other apps using some fashionable framework fail when there’s a change in iOS/PadOS. Hats off for a wonderful job.

No animation. Upgraded to latest iPad iOS and animation just stopped. Emailed developer to know avail. Have deleted and gone to another app. Very disappointing.

Great application, accurate, worth the money. Super application, I use it all the time. I'm able to check the weather to see if it's raining or if the rain is coming and I can get the clothes off the line before the rain hits. It's very useful especially to see if there is any rain about before I decide to do my washing. I use it to check the sydney/wollongong area for weather updates. It updates the rain radar every 10 mins or so. Worth the money!!

It's back!. This app disappeared much to my dismay. It has returned bigger and better and even though it now costs $1.49, it is the best I have used.

No complaints here.. One of my most frequently used quick reference apps. It was playing up for a bit but the latest update has fixed that.

Simple and Slick. Simple, easy to use, with just the right about of features, including favourites menu and shows your location on radar map.

Good Good, in anywhere but melbourne. Its a great app and I'd highly recommend it however Melbourne Airport is offline, which is fine, because they provided a newer Melbourne City radar to go by instead, however this also is not working for me. So Im not sure, might just be a me problem, or they might have some work on their hands. In any case it is frustrating when you're trying to get rain data from a weather station 300+ clicks away. Im sure it will come back online though. Definitely worth it if you don't live in Melbourne ;)

Exactly what I've been looking for . . . .. This app has just what I've been after. I have other weather apps with radar but the colours are different to the BOM site which I am accustomed to using. Also, I love that I can add my most commonly used radar to the favourites and then in settings, make it so that when I click on the favourites button, it opens my top favourite. Unlike my other app where I have to navigate to my home radar from the beginning of the app each time. The only thing is the radar map is quite small for my old eyes. Perhaps I need to move to an iPad LOL

Great result. This app is quicker and therefore more responsive than the safari access. The zoom is instantaneous, not jerky as it is on safari and the full screen picture is much better. Wind, temp and rain indicators are good. Well worth the couple of dollars. Thanks mate. PS National cloud page would be good.

Swish. Goes straight to where you want to be without all the extraneous stuff. Is it going to rain? Is it going to stop? Will I leave home/work with a light spray jacket or a diving bell? Simple and to the point. A wishlist item would be to take advantage of the options on some of the enhanced radar locations (i.e. Doppler images) but that's not a criticism.

Simple and still the best. If you want simple rain and wind details, this is the app. It combines the wind directions on the rain radar and this makes all the difference. Synoptics and national radar is easy to access. Two thumbs up!

Wait for the next version. Aside from the fact this application only ever seems to display one (Melbourne Airport) of the two maps ((Melbourne Airport and Melbourne) available for Victoria, we're currently experiencing MAJOR storms at the moment and I've had to log onto the Bureau of Meterology website to watch the radar despite downloading and paying for this app which is supposed to provide the same functionality on my iPod. It's currently saying the BOM radar is down, which it most certainly isn't because I have it running on my computer right now. If it doesn't work at key times like this, what's the point? I may as well go to the official BOM website which always works. I'm going back to the official site!!!!

Worth every cent....er its free. This is the most used piece of software. I have to rely on the weather and storm fronts coming through for work and this is spot on. The only problem I found ( if there was really anything to complain about ) is its a wee bit slow, but Im sure that might be fixed one day.

Still image only. this app has been BS lately, only showing a still image at 10am. worked well u til this point, might wanna fix it or I'm getting a different app
