Comment section quotes issue and selection issue. UPD 25.01.2021 Unsolved: 1. If there is any quote in the comment larger than 2 lines then it will be shown beyond the quote borders and sometimes over the main text of the comment. To solve this issue I have to expand comment text if I have such ability. 2. Why I haven’t option “show less like this” in the app? I still have ability to do this in the web version. 3. When I open comment section I can’t see “What are you thoughts?” placeholder in comment input field. I see only part of letter “W” and that’s all. 4. The other issue is about selection of words in the article. If I select any word in the text I will have to tap on any other word in this paragraph to discard selection. If I tap on other word/sentence in the other paragraph it will select that whole sentence instead of discard my previous selection.

I love Medium so much, but…. It does not work correctly on iPhone 6S with iOS 13 and iPad with iOS 12. It crashes every time when I try to open next article or try to swap to next author. I paid for a Medium for a long time and I don’t want to have this freaking issues with the mobile app. It is not possible to read articles or commenting them on devices.

Cannot sign in. I can’t sign in with Apple account and with Google account. I also cannot create a new account. Error: the operation couldn’t be completed.

Updates. You are reimagining app experience so often! Wow. No changes are visible though.

Inconvenient application for reading long articles. Some articles may take a lot of time to read and sometimes you want to take a pause and continue reading after some rest. And that is a point where your user experience struggles a lot: 1. When you close the app and open again after some time, it closes the article you read before and there is no way to open and even find it again. 2. There is no “last viewed” option, so if you unexpectedly close the article - just forget about it. 3. Swipe to right closes an article, and you cannot prevent this action, and as a result there is no way to find this article again if it was opened by a link.

Terrible desktop experience. Your desktop experience is truly exasperating! Despite being a paid subscriber, I can't sign in when using Brave browser. What's the point of a subscription if I can't even access the content? On top of this, your support system is useless. I get an "access denied" error when I try to submit a ticket. Great service, bad app. Good design. While medium itself is great and beautiful, this app is clumsy and not friendly. Design itself is good, but why I cannot read MY topics by groups? I can see only 3 medium have picked up for me, but have 6. There is no way to read what you want, but only what medium wants for you!

Please make a history of my reads. The problem is that sometimes it’s hard to find what I was reading before. My use case: I was reading a long article. Then I opened my messenger when someone shared one more article and I just opened it to check about what it is. And now I don’t know how to find my previous read as I don’t remember the title Thanks

Glitches after app was in the background. When I’m reading some article and press home and return back after some time, the app just shows blank white or black screen and doesn’t react in anyway. The only way to fix it - is just to close app from multitasking menu and reopen app. But in this case I loose place where I stop read, what is really annoying.

Best blogging platform. If you know English and like reading, you should use it. The app itself good - simple, clean and focused on reading/writing

Quality time with yourself. I feel at ease when I read. But it was so stressful to search for things to read. Quality articles. Internet is cluttered, and I often stopped mid article with irritation. On Medium, I read 5 articles in first sitting, and I knew I finally had found my source of daily relaxation. Thank you.

Crashes. The app used to work pretty good in the past, but suddenly I started getting many issues with it. I can’t open the article because medium suddenly closes.

Problems with comments posting. Just downloaded the app, and straight away can’t post comment, because “an error occurred, try again later”. Well, you will not get me of FB this way.

Good blog but have technical issues. Nice simple blog but have critical technical issues (also not good for SEO), not mobile friendly etc (check any url Google developers tools speed upload site). Also issues available on paid subscription.((( I hope soon will be fixed.

Suggestion. So, I use medium to learn or find new information about particular technology. And I found one thing, which I would like to use in ur app. Please add an ability to search by interests. In other cases app is very useful)

I Quit. First, too many paid stories in my feed nowadays, which I consider forcing me to switch to the paid membership. I was good with free articles, but now it’s pretty hard to find them among paid content. Second, recommendations are annoying. No matter how many times I asked the app not to show me articles about JavaScript, it keeps suggesting me to read something about JavaScript. Thanks, but no thanks. Good luck with those who need it.

Persist the data. For the app of this fame not to save the last open article at the point of the last reading is a total shame. Also, when you rotate the device the text NEVER stays at your reading point. You have to scroll it a few screen to restore the reading point. This is below a mediocre level.

Beware that “free” 1 month trial is not actually free. Today I’ve started free 1 month trial to understand whether I need premium subscription or not. But money were taken from my card right away, so in fact I had no free usage period at all. That’s just great) I’ll cancel the subscription in 30 days and will never use your app again.

Paywall and masking free content. It’s been a good ride, but now feed is filled with payed content and it’s too tiresome to look for scarce free articles. Deleting the app, will use web version occasionally to finish reading old bookmarks

Good App. The application is very convenient to use, clean and well-designed. Easy to read. Writing a story from mobile is okay, but I will never try it again: I wrote a 5 min read being in the transport, and lost everything as soon as my 3G connection was interrupted. How did this happen? Once the connection was established again, I received a message like "you cannot save this draft because someone else is editing". Hours later, there were no changes. I needed to rewrite everything from scratch. Also I have noticed some occurrences where paragraphs was visually disappearing for some reason, both while editing and reading, but this were pretty much rare.

I like Medium. It provides a platform for thinkers.

The best magazine.. A huge number of interesting writers who do their the best to interest readers. A lot of great articles. In addition very comfortable app.

Glitch about payment for membership!!!. Hello! I have some trouble. When app asked me - if do I want to pay for membership, there was amount that was indicated in UAH currency (Ukrainian), and I was ready to pay such money. But then from my account was removed this amount in USD,🥵, and this is different money.... I don’t want to pay such amount!!! Pls how can I get my money back?!?!

Another instrument to spread hate towards white people. Initially I was interested in Medium as a source of valuable information on science, technology and IT. But eventually they started spamming my inbox with woke propaganda and classy leftist hatred towards whites. Search their site for prominent article "Yes, all white people are racist" written by a black woman. I wonder if they'd allow an article degrading black people written by a white male? The answer is known. I have about ten articles on their "resource", will move all of them to another place, cancel my account and blacklist (what an irony) their site in my search results. No, I am not okay with the hatespeech you promote. I am not okay with marxism propaganda, especially since I'm from a former soviet union and I know what communism looks like. Go woke, go broke. I advice all white technical specialists who have articles published there move their materials to another place and ban Medium.

Bad optimization. The app works terribly slow, the interface freezes, the scrolling of text and menu is done with great delays and low fps. Very strange for an app with such functionality. iPhone 6

Freeze when scroll Article. On ipad pro 10.5 ipadOS 15.7 the latest version of the Medium app works not good when scrolling page with article. However all other pages inside application scroll good and pretty responsive but experience of reading and scrolling some particular article page is bad. However website version of the Medium works pretty well on ipad, and other applications as well. Hope this comment can be helpful for you guys

I hate it. Can’t copy anything besides one paragraph. When return to the app instead of continuing reading post, app shows me home page. I want to use mobile web version but I’m forwarded to the app.

Lags. When I scroll the article I clearly see how scroll lagging. Scroll. Lagging. Literally any article. iPhone xs.

Extremely useless. Click some random not useful articles with hope find any interesting information. The search didn’t have any results for me. And I used all my free limits, so I should pay to view more useless articles... In my case Google find more relevant and detail information for free

Individual article top menu bug. Hello, your medium is great. But app particularly has two major bug. When I open article in portrait and switch to landscape, top menu with title and back button appears wider than it should (its probably because of notch in portrait pushing everything down and after switching app keeps reserved space). By the way, I consider this a bug, because if I open article beforehand in landscape the menu is perfectly sized. The second bug comes next, if I open article such way, a blank screen stretches across the screen and keeps article to the very right. I used IPhone X for this test. Doesn’t allow me to read articles with a prolonged active subscription. The app is good, but recently when I prolonged my subscription fog another year, the app seems to not recognize it and although it verifies that I have an active subscription till Feb 2021, it doesn’t allow me to read the full article. What a weird stuff. Makes disappointment almost inevitable.

Very good idea, source and app. Medium is a perfect source for modern people, for those who reads and writes. I really appreciate the variety of different topics as well as algorithms showing features articles every day. As my ideas for improvement: 1) Please make it clear for writers how to promote their articles within Medium. Some articles, webcasts will help. 2) recent update - why have you removed “switch-to-action” approach? It was so convenient to pull the article in my library to the left or to the right in order to archive or remove it. Now the icons for these actions are extremely small and inconvenient:( Still 5 and staying your member though

Trying to replace FB news feed. I’m trying to replace FB news feed with Medium for many reasons. However right now the news feed quality is not there yet for me. Maybe it’s something about recommendation system (I see too many bloggers with lifestyle advices which I’m not interested at all), or maybe it’s just something about my preferences dunno. Another big issue for me is FPS when I scroll a news feed on my iPhone XR with new version of the app. It’s just really low and must be addressed.

App crashed. When I try to search for "kafka streams" - the app closes. This is happening on the ipad pro 2020 and on the iphone 8plus

Everything is good but the app hangs often on iPad Pro. It happens like 1-2 times per hour. Usually after you switch on another app and then go back. One option is the white screen and the second one is simple freeze. Relaunch helps but the reading article closes and you should scroll to the point again. Hope someday the developers could fix it. Thanks!

Awful image previewer. Why can’t you just code normal image previewer? Is it so hard? I try to zoom and scroll image to see program code, but image fade out and previewer closes

That’s a pretty cool app with some pretty disturbing issues. I like Medium, I really do. I’d like it even more if I could see what topics I’m subscribed to.

Period shortcut. Double-tapping the space bar inserts a period even if you disable this in QuickType keyboard settings.

Ready for the next chapter?. Deleting the app. It’s almost impossible to use without a premium account. But most of the premium articles are still have as low quality as free. And still no cyrillic in 2019 🙁

Требую вернуть деньги за годовую подписку. Оплатил годовую подписку, платёж прошёл с легкостью, подписка отражается в списке активной, но приложение не даёт доступ к контенту и предлагает оплатить опять. Верните деньги!

Problem with comments. The app generally works well, however there’s a problem with the “reply” button. I open a response, try to tap that button (it’s clickable, as I see), and nothing is happening.

Не создать аккаунт. Так и не смог зарегестрироваться говорит емайл на yahoo.com неверный ошибка 7400 и все тут...

Ошибка при попытке логина. При попытке залогинится, выбираешь свою почту - и выдает ошибку 7400. Новый аккаунт также не получается создать - выдает ту же ошибку. То есть использовать приложение в итоге не получается вообще. Использую на айпаде. Решите проблему, пожалуйста.

Ужасно глючное приложение. При каждом входе или при переходе по ссылке требуется подтверждение и перейти на почту и войти по присланной ссылке. При переходе попадает на главное меню а не на статью на которую ведёт ссылка.

Bad quality of articles. Articles have a very bad quality. Most of them are repeated from each other. All articles like “10 things you should know about ...” and so on. And always have basics about particular theme. Nothing useful

No regional prices.. $50 just for reading an articles is quite expensive for Russia.

The new version is buggy and less convenient. On iPad form the Home page if I select a topic from the menu at the top, say ‘Language’, the articles that appear don’t open. The error message: The article cannot be downloaded. The articles list isn’t displayed properly on iPad in landscape. On the Home Screen I need to press ‘Explore writers’ every time I want to see recommend articles — extremely annoying and inconvenient. Why did you get rid of the landscape mode on iPhone? When reading for a long time it was really comfortable and ergonomic for to change to landscape. What was the reason for this feature reduction?
