Complaint. The Ladys at Norfolk Check -In are the most disrespectful people I’ve ever seen!! They charged me 100 dollars for my 2nd baggage, although I’m a gold member, because they were unable to include my miles number. When I asked them for what do I need to pay, they just tell me “ step back, we have other things to do “. That’s not what I’m expecting from you guys…

Schlimmer gehts nicht mehr!. Man wird gezwungen diese App zu nutzen damit man überhaupt einchecken kann! Dann funktioniert diese aber noch nicht mal gut! Man kann auch keine 2 Personen gleichzeitig einchecken trotz gleicher Flugnummer und die App macht einem auch Glauben dass das funktionieren müsste... einfach nur grottig!

Upgrade payment only for us citizens. Credit cards to pay for upgrades are only allowed for US card holders . That’s so non-digital .

Schwierigkeiten bei Bezahlung. Keine Bezahlung mit Paypal Europe möglich(€, sondern nur $). Keine Annahme von VISA Kreditkarten.

Schrott. Online Check in funktioniert nicht

Extrem umständlich und langwierig. Der Check in Prozess ist extrem umständlich und sehr langwierig, ohne dass man eine Information zur noch zu gehenden Reststrecke bekommt. Zudem sind die Erklärungen häufig unzureichend.

Funktioniert nicht mit Dr Titeln. Der Online Check-in funktioniert nicht, wenn man einen Doktortitel hat. Die Software meint dass die Namen nicht übereinstimmen da sie Doktortitel nicht vom Pass erfasst. Eine manuelle Eingabe ist auch nicht möglich

Zeit die man sich sparen könnte.... An sich ist die App gut aufgebaut. Auch der OnlineCheckIn klappt gut. Bis man zu dem Punkt kommt an dem man die Reisepässe per Handykamera einscannen muss. Eine nette und einfache Idee. Am Schluss jedoch erscheint eine Meldung, dass das Einchecken nicht funktioniert hat und man sich am United Airlines Schalter am Flughafen melden soll um den CheckIn, mit dem Erhalt des Boarding Passes, abzuschließen. Somit ist der ganze Prozess des OnlineCheckIn’s via App (der übrigens laut Website nur per App möglich ist) bis zu dieser Meldung umsonst. Schade eigentlich... Die LufthansaApp zB. ist in dieser Hinsicht einfacher.

Can not add German Credit Card. As United has changed to contactless payment and you must add your credit card information to the app I have been unable to buy anything on board. Simply because I can not add a German credit card. Germany as country in the billing address is not an option. In fact there are only very few country options… I wonder why european countries are not listed?

Sad. Terrible UX

Check In is not working!. You spent a lot of time. Input mass of data, scan all passports and finally it’s states you can‘t checked in because of missing passports! 2nd try, same result plus the experience that nothing of all the data you put in before was kept in the system! 🤬 Completely USELESS!

Great upgrades. I found this app to be very easy to use especially with all of the COVID-19 requirements. It is hard to keep up with different country requirements, and this app did it for me.

kein Upgrade außerhalb der US möglich. nur mit einem Wohnsitz in den USA kann man für ein Upgrade bezahlen. und das bei einer Airline mit internationalen Flügen. wie traurig.

easy check in. I really enjoy using this app. It makes checking in and being updated really easy and convenient. The only problem I had was that I had to rescan my Passport and couldn’t use the already scanned information. Thats the only glitch I noticed.

Schlechte App. App hat unzählige Schritte bis man endlich eingecheckt ist. Außerdem ist die Platzzuweisung schlecht. Es sollte machbar sein zwei gemeinsam reisende Personen kostenfrei nebeneinander zu setzen und dies nicht über eine “Platzwahl” mit 80€ zu regeln und so noch mehr Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen.

Beste Airline App. Ich bin Vielflieger und fliege jedes Jahr über 150x. Die United app ist dabei die funktionalste, umfangreichste und praktische Airline-App die ich kenne. Top!

Can’t cope with academic titles. The travel ready center is not capable to cope with academic titles in german passports. Therefore the most important function for me - the online check in - is not possible. Given the fact, that this problem has been reported in reviews years ago, it is not quite understandable that it is not fixed. IMHO, the case of having an academic title in the passport shouldn’t be that rare

Total verbuggt. Ich musste die App herunterladen zum Einchecken. Ich habe mich geärgert, dass ich dafür die App brauche. Das Einchecken hat nicht funktioniert. Ich habe es drei mal probiert, insgesamt hat das eine halbe Stunde gedauert. Ich wurde jedes Mal zum Flughafenschalter verwiesen. Absolutes Ärgernis!

Deutsche Buchstaben sind nicht anerkannt. Beim Hochladen eines Reisepasses tritt ein Fehler auf: einen Ü ist nicht anerkannt. Deshalb sind die Informationen nicht korrekt und die online Check-In sei unmöglich. Es ist komisch.

App verhindert Einchecken. Habe eine Stunde benötigt um zu verstehen ich bin als IT Experte überfordert

Tiptop. Heute Check-In im Web machen wollen, ging leider nicht, da erst die Passdokumente verifiziert werden müssten. Entweder ich melde mich am Flughafen zum Einchecken oder ich verwende die United App - damit könne man den Pass scannen und wäre dann verifiziert. Gesagt-getan: Klappt super. Beim Check-In wird der Pass fotografiert und das Bild dann hochgeladen, nach weniger als einer Minute war alles klar und ich konnte dir Bordkarten ausdrucken. Super!

Einchecke ist sehr gut intergiert. Man bekommt 24h vorher eine SMS mit einem Link der direkt die App öffnet. Dann muss man seinen Reisepass fotografieren und dieser ist bereits nach 1min bestätigt. Alles sehr einfach und gute bedienbar

Dangerous rip off!!!. This app takes ALL Your data and sends it god knows where and then breaks down on the last step before finishing check in. Why would you need to download an useless app just to do a check in anyways! What’s the retarded drop down list when you click that you’re not a us resident?!?! Unfassbar schlecht. Ohne worte was dieser app alles fehlt. Passt zum live auftritt dieser airline. Einfach selbst ausprobieren.

Uselessly. The App let me do half an hour of check in procedure, including putting in the Adress of my hotel twice, to just tell me I can’t check in online. Only miles and more Members can check in online, and the app knows I’m not logged in as miles and more member. It could have told me before I did all the work.

Worst app ever. Was forced to download this app as the promised web check-in didn’t work without passport photo verification via this app. And exactly this didn’t work at all despite of many unsuccessful attempts. The app identified and displayed all relevant data from the uploaded passport photo correctly but still terminated the process always with error message “Please try again, unable to read the document”. Result: Check-in not possible. Sorry this is a crap app and bad customer service (the United staff at the customer support hotline were only able to repeat robot-like phrases from their given guidelines without even trying to resolve the problem).

Unterirdisch! Ein Stern ist noch zu viel. Ich fühle mich zum ersten Mal gezwungen eine App zu bewerten. Wenn Apps normalerweise nicht funktionieren lösche ich sie und es ist mir egal. United zwingt einen aber wenn man online Einchecken will mit der App seinen Pass zu scannen. Es gibt also keine Alternative wenn man Sitze auswählen und Wartezeit am Flughafen einsparen will. Ich habe es 2 mal für jeweils nur 2 Personen versucht. Man wird durch den ganzen Prozess geleitet der jeweils 5-10 min gedauert hat um dann am Ende!! zu erfahren dass es nicht funktioniert hat und man am Schalter Einchecken soll. Das ist ehrlich gesagt eine Zumutung!

Needs improvement. Really nice if you just want to browse or even change your flight. I needed to approve my passport in the travel ready center but it would open my camera and then close. Wish this would get fixed :)

Version 3 - die grosse Neuerung. Ich mag die United App und als 1k Member ist sie für mich quasi ein zweiter Homescreen. Der Hype um die neue Version 3 war ja gross und ansich ist die App nett gemacht - Aber nicht wirklich was Neues. Die Alte App bekommt 5 Sterne, die neue nur noch 3 - Warum? Weil viele Features noch auf dem „alten Stand“ sind und vorallem die neue App nur so mit Werbung zugepflastert ist. Kreditkarte, Cruise, zusätzliche Services - extrem aufdringlich und nervig. Bei der alten App konnte man das teilweise noch minimieren, jetzt nimmt das viel zu viel Platz ein und nervt massiv.

Worth my time….. In the past this service was less complex, but never worked for me, being from Germany. Now, congratulation, it is a more complicated process, due to covid 19, but worked for me. For the first time. Saves me time and headache in my day planning.

Can you give negative stars ?. This is app is the most unusable airline app I have ever tried to use. Absolutely nothing works as it should. You want to check in from Europe to US - go to the counter. Vice versa - do the same. Read your passport for check in ? Forget about it if you have an academic title/ degree in your name - we don‘t fly doctors. But most of the time its „data service unavailable“ anyway. I am a frequent traveller with approx 20 flights between Europe and the US every year and I can check in with the Apps of Lufthansa, British Airways, and KLM just to name a few, but not United. This app is maybe usable for national flights, but definitely not for international die ones.

Upload new credit card. To check in online they want to have the information of the credit card to make it contactless but I tried to register my own credit card and not used my husband credit card. That I used to buy my ticket. I pressed to register a new card and the only country select is the USA and I live in Germany.

Check in nicht möglich. Check in über die App nicht möglich. Im Check in Prozess wird die Handynummer benötigt und egal in welcher Variante man die Nummer eingibt funktioniert es nicht.

Kostet viel Zeit, nicht nutzerfreundlich. Leider ging das Zubuchen von Gepäck nur über App - ich hätte auf ihre Nurzung gerne verzichtet

Trash App. Mit dieser App funktioniert gar nichts, weder wird man verlaesslich ueber Ausfälle oder Verspaetungen informiert, noch war ein Einchecken meiner Familie, deren Mitglieder ueber US- oder deutsche Paesse verfuegen, moeglich! Kann sein, dass Standardeinzelreisende damit klarkommen koennen, fuer uns war diese App absolut unbrauchbar, zumal ich mir sowieso Infos ueber Ausfaelle und Verspatungen oder Umbuchungen entweder aus anderen Quellen (Flughafen) oder tel. unter Einsatz hoher Kosten einholen musste! 1 Stern jst noch viel zu gut bewertet!

Überflüssige App. Kann mich den anderen Personen nur anschliessen. Alle Daten ausgefüllt, Passports abfotografiert etc. und dann die Info dass es nicht funktioniert und ich mich an den Airport wenden soll. Wozu dann diese App?

Fantastic app beyond the obvious. Great app not only offering the usual things like managing bookings, check-ins, flight status updates but also has a great interactive map guiding you from gate to gate across terminals. Saved me when having a short connection in Chicago and had to find my way from Terminal 2 to the Terminal 1 International area.

Huge Problems with Checkin. I have got Both documents- vaccination and PCR test weithin 72hrs like demanded from the German authorities - BOTH wäre declined. The Work from the Agent was not Dome properly

Very disappointing. Very poor inflight service on trans continental flights in premium eco. Just one single can of soda and a dinner and one cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Nothing else. Even American was offering more.

Germans go better to the airport check in. In the UNITED App it‘s impossible to scan your passport and for luggage u need an us-adress. Two ways are the easiest - work on this massive problems and give german citizens the possibility to choose the language & the passport details take the from the App Store.

Two last names. I have a double last name - the app does not accept it with a space and thereby does not recognize the last name on my passport. It cannot be that I’m the only one with this problem. I travel often with United and this is really annoying!

The name in the passport and ticket doesn’t match. The app merges the titles Mrs and Dr with the name. On ticket everything is correct, but when the app scans passport, it can find Mrs title in the name. So it can’t accept the document. The app is unusable…

Complicated online check in. Impossible to save the boarding pass to wallet. Check in by smart phone very complicated

Setting. We as a family of 4 flew 5 legs on this trip and we never were able to sit together. Despite earliest possible check in. Not family friendly!!! There is no choice of seats available in this app to at least find a more suitable solution for the family ourselves. All other airlines offer this!!!

Checking bags Desaster. When you don’t have an American bank account you can not prepay your bags, not even via PayPal. I also cannot add my Star Alliance membership number from another airline. Worst check-in experience ever!

Not very customer oriented app. Especially the COVID qualification section does not properly allow to understand as a customer why the provided documents get turned down.

Buggy, unreliable. I was only able to enter passport information for one out of two travelers; the button to press before taking the second picture didn’t react. Must be a bug. Sudoku on the app is nice though.

Forces Passport scan & denies check in. Forces you to scan your passport. There's no way to edit, e.g. Add your second name. Should you have booked with your second name included -> game over, no online check in possible. Bad implementation, making the app useless for me.

Doesn’t work internationally. The app recognizes my passport data but then mixes in the “Herr” from the flight reservation into my name. “Herr” is nothing else but “Mister” in German. Every itinerary I know is issued either to Mr. or Mrs. poor programming when you can’t sort out the data from reservation versus passport. I’ve deleted the app as it is no good for my travels.

Seat selection. As an LH good member I expect better seat selection than in the 2nd last row at the window , when my profile shows aisle and ahead of the wing!

440MB download size for a simple travel app??. This is a simple travel app that folks typically download on their way to the airport. Asking people to download 440MB on the go is quite an ask.

Nothing works. Can’t put it dates, it just jumps to todays date, and upload any documents…., sometimes it works, most of the times it doesnt

Paying-options for international travelers. Can't pay for anything in the app without an US-address. Neither with credit nor with Paypal or any other sources. Wasted an hour trying.

Limited country selection. Only three countries are provided to choose from. Since my phone is from a different country my credit card details were not consistent and I could not upgrade my seat 😳.

Too complicated. Difficult to use for non US. E.g. payment methods, a nightmare. Apple Pay and Paypal not useable. Why can baggage not be purchased right away? Very slow. …. Really annoying and time consuming.

Too bureaucratic and scanning passport function doesn’t work fluidly. It took hours to fill, hopefully it won’t take days for the total flight.
