¿Qué es la aplicación inshort? This application offers a unique approach to project management, which represents your project not just as a plan, but as a coordinated mechanism moving towards the goal.
The original technique allows you to break down project objectives into smaller goals, processes and resources, but not get lost in the details, but always see the overall structure of the project as a whole. After all, project management is not a mechanical observance of the plan, but the achievement of project goals, which should not be overlooked.
The application combines the classic project approach based on Gantt charts and project management through workflow diagrams. As a rule, Gantt charts are ideal for presenting project schedules, but they are not so convenient for reflecting the complex structure of the relationship between processes, goals and resources.
More formally, the program allows you to build a customized, based on the BPMN notation, PERT diagram of the project (with events and processes at nodes). Then this description of the project is used to generate a Gantt chart and track the progress of the project.
So, inShort is a powerful project and business process management tool, which can be applied not only in office but also for personal purposes. You can further explore the capabilities of the program with the detailed interactive User Guide.

• Building the diagram of processes and resources of the project (PERT network diagram of the project, based on BPMN notation).
• The ability to drill down the elements of workflow diagrams.
• Tracking the execution of the project.
• Integration with the standard Calendar.

• Separation of physical and information flows of the project.
• Ability to specify the expected time of execution, both directly and parametrically.
• Export of charts into PDF files and OPML outlines.
• Project management according to the methodology of the Theory of Constraints.
• Working calendars taking into account various schedules of work for implementation of tasks.
• Work resources and their assignment to tasks.
• Queues of tasks: organize the work with active tasks in accordance with the elements of the GTD methodology.
• Checklists for diagrams — monitor the sequence of actions for project management step by step.
Advanced features of project management in accordance with the Theory of Constraints technique:
• finding the critical path;
• positioning of time buffers of the project;
• calculation of buffer sizes;
• calculation of late starts for feeding paths of the project;
• tracking of time indicators during project execution.

Functions included in inShort Pro:
• Working with layers of diagrams;
• inReview: publications of user diagrams surveys by experienced project managers, indicating successful findings and weaknesses in the diagrams. The procedure for sending diagrams for analysis is described in the Terms of Use.

Brutal. Obra maestra.. Por ahora, la app de productividad más cañera con la q me he topado. Está claro q el auror controla, y mucho. OJO, no la recomendaría a cualquiera; es una app muy sofisticada y potente q no todo el mundo sabrá valorar y explotar. Si lo q quieres es una app para 4 diagramas de flujo cutres para proyectuchos o para decidir cómo vas a emparejar tus calcetines, ésta NO es tu app ;)
Very good program. This is an excellent piece of software not just for projects but for modelling any sort of step based scheduling and resource scheduling. It provides great flexibility an simplicity. It is so easy to use yet sophisticated enough. It also provides a full array of reports to communicate with others. I hope the developers soon release a Mac version.

Useful process modelling tool. A pleasant surprise! Goal oriented process design, seamlessly mapped onto a project management background. Most software of this type fails in one of three ways: - awkward touch interface, owing to a poorly thought translation of desktop UI paradigms - too complex, trying to be too many things at once - too simple and unfit for any real work InShort has the right blend between power and ease of use, and the execution is competent. With Dropbox integration and .mpp export it would be an instant 5 star winner.
Must have for idea people!. If youre always thinking of new ideas like me, this certainly is a must have. This App pushes your thinking to a new level. Definetely one of the very few you really need. Congratulatons to the dev team! Im lovin it!

My most beloved app. If you are a knowledge worker, you simply must have this app. It is hard to grasp at first how it works and what it is useful for, but once you use the drill-up and drill-down features, you get the hang of it and realize what huge potential it has for your ideas, project and research. It turns out it is easy to use and very cleverly developped. Think of it as an app combo: outliner, powerpoint and mindmapper. It is best for project-managers (which I am not) but any thought process is well met (law in my case). In essence, it breaks down a general idea into molecular bits of that idea as you travel through the drills upwards, downwards and in linked form. If you don't have an iPad, then an iPod/iPhone will suffice as a secondary screen to your PC when you use landscape mode and a bluetooth keyboard just to brush your ideas (not a full analysis, just a brush of it). And the developper, Mister Jury, has a forum for all your questions, accesible from the app or anywhere online. As soon as you open it for the first time, look for the thumbnail (or up arrow) and read the User Guide. Familiarize yourself with drilling, the canvas and the drillable object types (they are not all drillable). AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING APP !!!!
Un poco enredado el instructivo. Se ve una buena herramienta, cuestión de tiempo para dominarla y sacarle buen provecho. Si es intuitiva, y fácil de usar. Requiere práctica.
Problems with the App. The app doesn`t use in my Ipad, when I try to use the app close self.
Clever!. I must say this is one if the must beautiful UI a have seen in a while. There is quite of a learning curve, but common...this ain't no kiddo's to-do list
Now it works!!!. After a fellow user recommended to go to IOS 4 and I did, my problems with the application went away. Now I am satisfied, I like the concept of this application and the features that I have used so far.

Great App. This is probably the most useful aplication I have ever had to solve problems, create and comunicate procedures, define and attack goals. If you like powerful organization and execution tools you are going to love Inshort.

Excelente app!!!. Completa y muy eficiente. Ideal para elaborar diagramas complejos de una manera simple e intuitiva. Quizá sólo exige un poco de inversión de tiempo al inicio, pero se ve ampliamente recompensada al iniciar el trabajo. Vale cada centavo.

Difícil de aprender pero vale la pena. La uso para casi todo lo que requiera planeación, incluso para la estructuración de presentaciones y escritos largos donde confluyen varias interacciones que pueden volverse complicadas. Le resto una estrella porque el instructivo aunque ingenioso, usa un lenguaje complejo. En realidad el programa es muy sencillo una vez que se familiariza uno.
Useless. This thing crashes in such way that even when exploring the app crashes!!! I am afraid to get the iPod system damaged by using it. Sometimes the screen goes black and remains that way for some moments. I sent an email to the developer, but so far I have not get any answer. Visited the forum to see if somebody got the same crashing problem and yes... some other people suffer the bug...but the developer replied he tried to make the app unstable with no success... I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

The best!. Really took me a while to decide to buy it. I wish there was a light version since there is no way to find out how it works. Its not a plug and play app. You need to go through the process of learning, but its not something bad because its very flexible and powerfull, i fell in love instantly with it.. I spent lot of time searching for the perfect design app and this did the job.. And works both for iphone and ipad!! I just hope there were a way to sync diagrams between apps. There is a "import, send by emal, export" action, but could be better an interface with dropbox, or bluetooth.. Highly recommended!
