The worsts. They suspended my account because during three months I was not able to find a job, even when I applied to a lot of offers. Is it my fault that nobody have hired me?? For Upwork, yes. And the worst thing, this happens in the middle of the lockdown, when I needed it the most. I been working as freelancer for 10 years and this is the first time that something like this happens to me, I fell completely disappointed and frustrated. I won’t recommend any of my colleagues to use Upwork services, ever… YOU ARE THE WORST

App doesn’t work properly. App doesn’t work properly , doesn’t allow me to search or find my saved jobs. Doesn’t show me the right number of proposals I sent, etc.

Fraude. Hay muchos fraudes y aunque compro puntos no me salen cosas. No me gusta mucho ese portal pero mejores alternativas no hay.

Godd app. 4 stars because the app is very slow.

The screen keep getting black. The other one was good, but this one every time I try to submit a new application and I put the estimate duration the screen get black I have to restart the app. Please fix it. I can’t work like that . I will download the old one was way better.

Commissions are abusive.... I earned 37 dollars and received 21 euros, they take almost the half of my salary po me cago en su muerto

I can’t log in my account. When I try to log in, I receive message “ Due to technical difficulties we are unable to process your request. Please, try again later.” And I can’t use Upwork any way.

If you are new, you won’t earn anything. I already invested more than 30$ in applying for job offers that are left without the applicant reviewing them never again. For new talents it’a quite hard to get a first job (at least in IT field) and you have to initially spend a lot of money without having any answer from the applicant. Also, some countries accept very low payed jobs so if in yours the cost of living is not so low and you require a higher payment, you probably won’t find it. The idea is good, but the system fails in my opinion. There is not enough backup for new people.

Convenient!. It’s convenient to have this app. I can see if someone invites me to a job on the go and I am able to reply at once, even if I don’t have my laptop with me. Thanks :)

Last update messed up. Since the last update I can’t submit a proposal. Please fix it!

Cuidado estafadores. Si os habla alguien y os dice de hablar con él por telegram bloqueadlo o ignoradlo, os hacen hacer su trabajo y luego intentan coger información y datos

Best place to do freelance or be a self employer. This is a great place if you find it difficult to find jobs in your local area whatever it’s writing transcripts graphics music etc... Plus you can even have a career for yourself.

Unusable. On iPad is uncomfortable, old fashioned, lack of abilities... No iPad version.

It only works with one account!. Before the last update, I could work with two different accounts: one for freelancer and another oner for client, because I need both versions due to my work. Now, I only can open one of my two accounts at the same time, although I have both apps: Freelancer and Clients... I hope you solve this problem!

Messages does not work. New version does not allow the app to open messages on IOS!

Notifications do not work. .

Seems to go faster. It seems faster than the older one. It is good now to have access to contracts and reports, which were not available before in the app. I miss the green background instead of the white one on the app logo. It was easier to identify at one sight when you receive a message alert.

im not a freelancer, im looking for one. i downloaded the app to look for a freelancer but it only lets me sign in as one, which just seems like really bad app design. surely there should be an option to make an account to look for people????

Much better version!. The previous app was good but this one is way better! You can see everything from the desktop site (contracts, earnings...) which makes it more comfortable and easier to use!

App loading problem. The new app isn’t working on my iphone 6s, but the old one works perfectly.

Don’t waste your time. Worst app I ever had. Nothing works well and most of the proposals are fake projects or payments are ridiculous. Who in this world would do a transcription in Germany from a 90 movie for only 30 AUD? Obviously nobody, but here is people like this who think that it’s an easy and fast job… And now I have to wait until the 11th or 12th of October to delete my account cause they have to send me the money I “earned”, which is actually 1,29€ and it’s just what I had to pay for creating this account. Just the perfect app to loose your time and get mad.

Good. Sometimes it’s difficult to start any work or to get accepted because you are just new. No one gives you credit for what you know and the expertise I can add as resource. I just hope that vision changes on recruiters.

Connections. The app is super good but in my opinion they should give more connections to the workers so they can apply for more jobs.

Very expensive. If you earn 1,000$ you have to give 200$ to this trash company

Repleto de estafadores. Gente, tengan cuidado, la app está llena de gente que ofrece trabajos con muy buena paga y baja carga horaria pero son todos falsos ya que te piden en todos los casos una inversión inicial de tu parte de 50 o 30 dólares. Imagino que una vez pagados esos 50 dólares concluye la estafa pero no sean tontos y no caigan

Worst customer experience ever. I’ve had to speak with their customer service center, on multiple occasions to solve issues in regards to my payments, profile, etc. They don’t solve anything. They are slow, unresponsive, unpractical. If something happens to you, you’ll have to wait days even weeks or months to have your problem being solved. Will 100% pivot to Fivver.

App works fine. My only problem is Upwork’s abusive “safety” 5 business day withdrawal period after you have been paid. Also, if a withdrawal method fails and you reinstate it, you will have to wait 3 more days (doesn’t warn you) to use it. Any excuse to retain freelancers funds is in place.

Linked to client app. I am a client as well as a freelancer on Upwork so I manage 2 users. Thought I would be able to log in both accounts one on each app but they are synchronized. Not useful at all to have launched both apps if they are not independant.

Los connects son malisimos. Para los q inician dan muy pocos connects y nadie empezando les va pagar, eso le resta al resto de la app q si esta genial, pero de nada sirve tener la app si no puedes postularte a los proyectos

Best Platform Ever!!!. I am a textile & fashion designer and creative director. I work for top brands worldwide and I tried using other platforms. I find this one to be the most friendly mobile app and desktop app and it beats the others. The only thing I would pay attention to is scams. My advice is to research hiring companies to see if they are real. Many times these brands ask for free designs for a so called design test for free and steal your prints or ideas. I would advice Upwork to pay attention to these scams, maybe add a button where you can anonimously make a complaint with no retaliation from these companies. Important features missing. You removed the 'mark unread' option for messages and you can't switch online offline from the app. Need to change the 'user experience' solutions team.

App works great. I started to work with upwork several years ago and the app has made communication with clients easier . Everything works well as expected .

Review. The connects are annoying especially for new users so be very choosy with what you apply for. Otherwise you will be waiting around with no work. The mobile app could use some help too.

Es muy confusa, imprecisa e injusta. Presenté un "ticket" (como lo llama la plataforma y que asumo es lo mismo que un reclamo) ante soporte de la plataforma por dos trabajos en los que me habían contratado y que no me habían pagado. Sin embargo, suspendieron mi cuenta argumentando que había faltado a las políticas de la plataforma, sin especificar cual fue mi falta. Antes que solucionar mi problema, optaron por suspender mi cuenta y enviarme a leer nuevamente sus políticas públicas. Opte por eliminar mi cuenta, quedando pendientes esos dos pagos por dos trabajos finalizados, porque no tengo tiempo de volver a leer las políticas que ya había aceptado y por su tardanza en responder mis solicitudes. No la recomiendo para nada.

App works well, service too expensive. I have no complaints about the app. Works excellent. Unfortunately the service and tax fees are absolutely ridiculously expensive. This used to be actually a good scheme for us freelancers.

No opportunity. Doesn’t give the opportunity for young people searching for first jobs to find their way in the world.

The old one (green logo) is better. I understand that you made this one in order to try and make it more like entering the website, but despite it having “more” options, it doesn’t work well. The old one allowed you to open a document and download it to edit in your phone, this one doesn’t, it crashes and disconnects a lot, it doesn’t let you know soon enough about a client’s interaction... I really feel like this one is less helpful.

Time tracker. Me gustaría que se incorpore a la versión de Upwork en iPad, el time tracker ,que sí está en la versión para computadora. En Upwork sólo puedes marcar tus horas de trabajo manuales . Eso no nos favorece a los trabajadores ya que es más difícil de comprobar tus horas de trabajo .

Upwork is full of scammers. The app might work but most of the jobs posted are scams, I’ve been reporting a lot with no luck, a lot of jobs just ghost you but you still have to spend connects in order to find something. Once I run out of connects I’m done with this

Scams. La app está llena de ofertas falsas que conducen a scams

Ridiculously expensive. This used to be actually a good place for us freelancers but now the service and tax fees are absolutely expensive. I think I’m going to star searching another one because it’s not the amazing platform it used to be, it’s like they are only focus on earning money at the freelancer’s expense…

Lack of support. The app is general works ok, the problem comes with the customer support, the money in my account was withdrawn without my permission and it’s impossible to talk to a representative also they keep withholding money for “tax reasons” even though I pay taxes in my own country

Preferred the old version. This version is slow and freezes often or even kickes me out of the app and shuts down. Many bugs. :(

Fees very high. Is very expensive to work in upwork, you need to reduce a lot your income in order to pay all these excessive fees

Problem with notifications. Since a few days ago, I haven’t received any notification which is a problem cause I don’t know if I have any new messages from my clients
