The New Yorker

Impossible to stay logged in. Useless without connectivity. Even when connected, my subscription often dissociates from my account, denying access. Long-standing problem that Condé Nast has no interest in fixing. Will not renew my subscription this year.

Can’t get back to where I was reading. As others have said, it does not open back up to the article and location if you leave the app. Given that reading is its main purpose, and that New Yorker articles are long, this makes it a pretty horrible user experience.

The audm embedded audio que player does not work all the time. Beautifully built app, truly with the New Yorker design rubber stamp; it is thus all the most unfortunate that the audm embedded audio player (brilliant idea btw) does not work with all the articles in the background (IPhone 7+, iOS 13.3.1) I am sure this is a very fixable glitch and I will be looking forward to it - that would really make me a happy subscriber. Godspeed

Great app one major flaw. Cant have narration audio while phone asleep or app closed

Unreadable after 30 minutes. Eye watering white backround makes reading near impossible after 30 minutes - unless I am wearing sunglasses. It is unnacceptable in 2023 to not offer Dark Mode for an app meant to be read.

Unacceptable condition. I can’t find the way to cancel the subscription. This option must be available, easy and accessible. The same way like you want to start a subscription. This condition is unacceptable

Needs dark mode. I would use this app so much more if only it had dark/night mode

App not working correctly. After I updated iOS 18 i can no longer share or bookmark with the buttons inside the article view. I also never received my tote, it’s been almost a year 😂

App not working properly. I update to iOS latest version and now the app doesn’t work, it shuts down frequently and freeze most of the time…

The best app. La mejor app de una revista, por mucho. Buen diseño, excelentes herramientas para el usuario, contenidos perfectamente ordenados. Una app a la altura de esta legendaria revista.

The New Yorker app. I read it for the outstandingly written articles, poetry, short stories and reviews. The artwork is cutting edge.

Don’t Subscribe. I never got the tote bag, and even if you cancel they won’t refund the fees. Complete disappointment and honestly, it feels like a scam. So sad to see this for a respectful company.
