Beautiful app with missing features. Beautiful and lovingly designed app that motivates one to go for a walk every day. However, it is unfortunately not possible that you can team up with close friends and thus see the progress not only of NPCs but also of your real companions. Then the app would be perfect.

Fantastisch. Habe die App von meiner Tochter empfohlen bekommen. Nach einem Tag direkt gekauft. Es ist so schön, wie liebevoll und detailgetreu die Geschichte implementiert wurde. Habe die Bücher bestimmt schon 10 mal gelesen und fühle mich direkt in die Geschichte hereingezogen. Ich denke ich laufe durch die App auch noch einen oder zwei km mehr am Tag.

Gut. Habe die pro Version gekauft , zeigt oft viel weniger Schritte an als healt bzw. andere Schrittzähler ( 700 statt 5000 Schritte )

Richtig gut. Habe die App bei Varion auf Twitter gesehen und musste sie direkt haben. Es gefällt mir wirklich sehr gut! Eine deutsche Lokalisierung und die Möglichkeit zu pausieren wenn man zB. krank ist fände ich noch eine sinnvolle Erweiterung. Den Preis von 3,99 Euro finde ich absolut fair und in Ordnung, wenn man bedenkt dass mittlerweile sehr viele kleine Entwickler auf absurd teure Abo Modelle setzen. Weiter so!

Most motivating app for walking. This app makes going for walks and hiking so much fun!!!! I always want to find out which stage of the adventure is next (even though I read the books)

Nice idea, not so well executed. The idea is fantastic. However with the free version you can advance only by 1.5 km per day, which is against the basic principle why people install this app. I would appreciate if the advancement per day was unrestricted also for the free version of the app.

Great motivator for walking. Great with friends. Played this with a friend of mine and made a race out of it. Was a huge motivator to get out and walk every day. We finished in about 265 days. 5€ for the full version are definitely worth it imo.

Ganz niedlich gemacht. Ist niedlich gemacht, aber würde mir wünschen, dass man Tage pausieren kann, wenn man z.B. krank ist und nicht laufen kann. Da hängt man doch sonst extrem hinter her.

Niedlich gemacht aber. nur 1500 Meter am Tag im kostenlosen Modus finde ich lächerlich wenig. Und 5€ finde ich wirklich viel. Aber wenn man das Geld ausgeben mag bestimmt eine tolle Sache

App funktioniert bei mir nicht mehr. Habe die Pro version gekauft und seit 1 Monat bleibt die App hängen sonald ich sie starte.

Great App. Very nice app. The design is successful and well implemented. I don't find the 5€ for the Pro version too much, because there are costs during development, which somehow have to be recovered. The only thing I'm missing is the opportunity to connect with friends to have a challenge among friends. Otherwise great app

Tolle motivierende App. Ich mag die App sehr sehr gerne! Sie motiviert täglich zu gehen und den eigenen Fortschritt zu sehen. Der Ansporn ist groß an Herrn Underhill dran zu bleiben, auch wenn er gefühlt mit Sieben-Meilen-Stiefeln unterwegs ist :-). Ich würde mich freuen, wenn es irgendwann noch eine Übersetzung in Deutsch geben könnte. Ich selbst komme mit Englisch zwar klar, würde die App aber gerne an andere Personen empfehlen, die leider kein Englisch können. Eine Möglichkeit zu pausieren, wenn man mal nicht laufen kann, wäre ebenfalls schön, ist aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. Alles in allem sehr gut! Der einmalige Kauf der Vollversion ist sein Geld wert! Toll, dass es sich nicht um ein Abo handelt!

Schön gestaltet. Die App ist wirklich schön gestaltet, was ein wenig schade ist und definitiv ein großes minus ohne pro Version kann man nur 1500 m gehen, das ist ein bisschen wenig, wenn man es schon begrenzt dann vielleicht mit etwas mehr.

Gorgeous App. I never leave reviews but this is so beautifully put together and visually stunning that I just had to. Works like a charm with no noticeable bugs so far. Well worth purchasing the full version. This is perfect for motivating me with my exercise as it really satisfies my inner nerd! When I get home I can’t wait to look at the app to see the progress of my journey. Now if I could only catch up with that pesky Mr. Underhill…

Bitte ein Sequel. Finde die App mega. Die 4€ für die Vollversion find ich auch wirklich gerechtfertigt. Ich würd mir auch gerne ein Sequel wünschen in dem man beispielsweise zum Einsamen Berg laufen könnte.

Best App on my phone. I just finished my journey and i have to give maximum compliments to the programmers... You can feel the love that was put into this and it was absolutely worth it.. Funny thing Im kind of an advertiser for this app. I shared the experience on my tiktok (30k followers) and a big german youtuber commented and started his journey and then reviewed it on his podcasts and got several other big youtubers (1 mil upwards) to join in... So i feel like i gave this app everything back what it gave me 😂🤝🏽

Schön gemacht. Einfache und zugleich wundervolle App. Der Aufpreis von knapp 5€ (kein muss!) ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Schön wäre es, wenn man echte Freunde, die auch die App nutzen, hinzufügen könnte, um sich gegenseitig zu motivieren.

Wonderful app. I got this App recommended and I immediately thought: I need this! And it really is the best! Five euros for unlimited distance is a reasonable price and I think the graphic and concept of the app is wonderful. I really recommend this to everyone who’s still searching for an app to track their hikes.

Great idea hope to see more. I decided to buy it as I loved the concept. The graphics are nice and I would love to get to Mordor. Now please do not stop there create other fantasy quests and hikes, we would love to walk in Wonderland, or Azeroth (to put an example).

Wow. This app is just great! I am a big Lotr fan and I just love this app. You can really feel how it was made with heart and the price for the full version is extremely fair.

solid app. +++ I have really much fun while basically doin nothing haha. Checking everyday how much kilometers I walked. Before this app I didn’t check my movement at all. -Would be perfect if I could add friends, interact, race them or some. Additionally my Fitbit watch does not add movement when my smartphone isn’t with me… that’s wasted.

Tolle App. Habe die App bei Instagram entdeckt und direkt gedacht: Die muss ich haben. Ist liebevoll animiert und lädt dazu ein im Alltag mehr zu laufen und als Hobbit immer weiter in Richtung Mordor vorzustoßen. Ich habe die Premium-Version, also ohne Werbung, was sich für eine bessere Erfahrung der Welt auch lohnt.

Well…. Ich liebe das Konzept der App, welches generell wirklich gut umgesetzt wurde. Was für mich persönlich jedoch ein starker Störfaktor ist, ist das Tracking. Ich tracke meine Schritte mit meiner Fitbit-Uhr. Diese lässt sich jedoch nicht mit Fantasy Hike verbinden, sodass scheinbar weniger Schritte und weniger Strecke getrackt werden, als ich tatsächlich zurücklege. Es wäre cool, wenn ich meine Fitbit mit der App verbinden, oder zumindest manuell meine Schritte in Fantasy Hike eingeben könnte.

Love and hate it.. Sorry but the FACT that I have to PAY to be allowed to walk more than 1.5km a day is absolutely frustrating. I’d love this app bc I walk a lot daily. And it’s super sweet. But not if I have to pay. Be better.

Tolle Idee, aber App macht ohne Vollversion wenig Sinn. Ohne Vollversion ist nach 1,5km am Tag Schluss. Etwas schade, denn damit ist die kostenlose Version wirklich nur für den kurzen Blick in die App. Das ist beim Download nicht ganz klar kommuniziert.

Warum 2 Sterne. Die App hat ein gutes Design und entspringt einer netten Idee. Die Limitierten 1,5km pro Tag sind aber schon etwas frech für einen Schrittzähler. Für 4,99€ einen normalen Schrottzähler mit Herr der Ringe Oberfläche zu verkaufen ist ebenso vermessen. Eine kostenlose Version sollte unbegrenzt Schritte Zählen und ebenso eine „Verbindung“ mit zwei Freunden ermöglichen. Eine 5€ Version könnte um Wanderrouten ergänzt werden, die Herr der Ringe Charakter mitbringen oder es könnte ein Hobbit Kochbuch integriert werden usw. … Hier wird einem bislang jedoch nur eine 5€ Oberfläche geboten, die die Schritte der HealthApp aufnimmt …bis 1,5km am Tag.

Ist das ein Scherz?. Habe die App voller Begeisterung heruntergeladen. Heute war ich dann unterwegs und da bekomme ich eine Benachrichtigung, dass ich ja upgraden müsste, wenn ich möchte, dass mehr als 1,5/Tag zählt. Aber jetzt wird's erst richtig witzig, das ganze würde dann 3,99€ PRO TAG kosten. Für eine App die nichts weiter macht als Schritte zu zählen? Absolute Frechheit. Direkt deinstalliert!

Macht einfach Spaß. Eine tolle App, der Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Funktioniert perfekt und motiviert täglich noch ein paar extra Schritte zu gehen. Schön wäre es, wenn man mit echten Freunden laufen könnte und so ein zusätzliche Motivation entsteht. Tolle Idee und super umgesetzt.

Sharing your journey with friends. I love the visuals and the idea behind the app. I would love to have a feature where i can share my journey with a friend and see their process on my map. Little bit more motivating than a fictional Charakter :)

I downloaded the app because i saw it on Tiktok and i was in live with it🥳 i really like the Lord of the Rings and hope to finish it a but faster than the average guy 😆 my goal is to absolutely smash Jon snowflake and run away from him as fast as I can 😂 i paid those 4 euros with love and know i was a good investment 👍

Suggestion for improvement. I really enjoy the idea behind this hole app but I am devastated that you can only walk 1.5 Kilometres per day. In my opinion that’s way too low. I don’t think there should be any limitations for distance to walk. That shouldn’t be the concept for the app!

Would love to see opponent‘s character. I‘m really enjoying this app, the only nitpick I have is that I‘d love to be able to see my opponent’s character on the road whenever I‘m close to them/getting ahead if them, I just think it would be a nice detail!

Paying. I don‘t like it that I have to pay for a app which looks how long I have to go until I am at Mount doom! That doesn‘t make any sense!

so motivating!. easily one of the best apps i ever downloaded. i am so happy i discovered it. the app runs smoothly and the price for the full features is perfectly reasonable in my opinion. it is so motivating for me, especially with the achievements you get along the way. the graphics and design are on point and very detailed. i always get very happy, whenever i get a notification regarding my progress. i highly recommend, even just for fun and not trying hard, it is so cool! great job to everyone who worked on this app!

Would be nice to have an overview of every day or at least the last seven days, as I sometimes forget to check every day how many kilometers/miles I walked. Also would be cool to be able to share a code with friends, so on the map there would be the location markers of my friends instead of „Mr. Underhill“. Greetings!

Doesn’t count the steps/distance properly.. The graphics are lovely and I really would’ve liked the app. However, it doesn’t count the steps/distance properly. I walked 10kms and it counted only 2. it’s frustrating! Fix this please.

Nice App. It’s a nice App. But it wont count steps if you are riding horses. Pretty unfair because Mr Underhill it shown riding too. So why cant I?
