🥖. Gute App, aber die Projekte in einer Organisation fehlen eindeutig!

Great app – projects missing. I really like the app, it makes things on the go so much easier. One thing that’s missing for me is the ability to access Projects. I do a lot of organization though Projects and being able to do this on the go would make it a lot easier. The existing parts of the app are 5/5, though!

Richtig gut. Super genial. Übersichtlich schnell. Mehr braucht man garnicht sagen. Das einzige was ich vermisse ist eine Möglichkeit die App mit TouchId zu sperren, aber vielleicht habe ich das Feature auch nur übersehen?

Re-Login Issue. I am currently stucked. I logged in with one of my accounts, logged out and wanted to login with a different account but the oauth in the safari browser is still showing me logged in as my previous user. I can’t switch to login and authenticate with my other user. Any idea how to fix this? Also reinstalled the app.

Tolle native iOS App. So sollte es sein. Keine seltsames Branding, nur produktives Arbeiten.

Unbekannte Sprache. Leider ist bei mir die so nicht auf Englisch oder auf Deutsch (Systemsprache), bei mir wird irgendeine asiatische Sprache angezeigt. Lösung: Einstellung > Github > Sprache auswählen

Network error. Beim Explore treten jedes zweite mal ein Network failure auf. Man muss ein paar mal reloaden bis es funktioniert. Argerlich

Push Notifications. Getting push notifications for incoming pull requests or reviews and comments on pull requests is a game changer for better cooperation 🤝

Großartig. Fühlt sich wie eine native iOS System App an: just get your things done!

Ganz gut. Mir fehlt aber noch ein Privatchat, da nicht jeder seine Social Medias angegeben hat.

Grundlegende Features fehlen. Entweder fehlen einige grundlegende Features (wie z.B. die Anzeige der History einzelner Dateien) oder ich habe es noch nicht gefunden.

Amazing native GitHub experience. Finally the native experience has arrived on mobile. It’s so much better than the limited mobile desktop site.

Kapert Github links. Noch eine App, die einen Bruchteil der Funktionalität einer Website hat, und die entsprechenden Weblink einfach kapert. Daher unbrauchbar.

Very well done!. I really appreciate all the features implemented in a mobile application! One thing I would love to see is an option to toggle between python notebooks being rendered and the raw view.

Gute App aber bisschen Buggy. Die App läuft an sich super gut, jedoch springt Sie dauerhaft zwischen Safari und der App hin und her, weil Safari versucht die App GitHub zu öffnen diese dann wiederum Safari mit einer neuen Seite öffnet und dann wieder zurück auf die App GitHub springt. Finde das extrem nervig, da es einfach 1000 neue Tabs öffnet.

Gut, aber zu lange Beta. Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich ziemlich enttäuscht vom Funktionsumfang dieser App, nachdem sie so viel Hype für diese App aufgebaut haben. Ich wartete Monate nach der ersten Ankündigung der App mit der Erwartung, dass die App die gleichen Funktionen hat wie die Webseite oder zumindest GitHub Desktop, nur irgendwie besser. Gut finde ich die Qualität dieser App. Man merkt, dass sie hinsichtlich des Visuellen sehr ausgereift ist, auch wenn man z. B. bei den Favoriten keine "(geforkte) Repos" von Organisationen angezeigt bekommt. Schlecht finde ich, dass die Betaphase so lange gedauert hat und dass das Dev Team dahinter außer bei den "Issues" und "Pull Requests" kaum innoviert hat (verglichen mit Apps von Drittanbietern). Die App ist, wie bei anderen, anscheinend nur dazu da, um sich Issues und PRs anzusehen. Ich hätte besser gefunden, wenn sie einfach die Webseite für mobile Endgeräte optimiert hätten und diese als App bzw. als PWA in Offlineform in den App Store gestellt hätten.

Very Convenient. Helpful indeed to track issues and other stuff without the need for a laptop. Request to the developers: Somehow Push notifications don’t show up on my (iOS 13) phone. Could you make an option to enable them for more than „direct mention“ only? Would be nice if every notification could cause a push message

Endlich. Top, ich liebe die App, sie ist simple, sieht gut aus und funktioniert! GitHub ist sowieso etwas, was ich fast täglich brauche und die App hatte immer gefehlt. Jetzt ist sie da! Eine Apple Watch Version wäre noch klasse.

Sehr gut bis auf. GitHub Actions Integration fehlt bisher komplett. Würde mir wünschen da die noch in die App mit aufgenommen werden.

Sehr gut!. Mag die IOS App sehr, dabei find ich die Widgets für den Homescreen am besten!

Keine wiki in der App.. Ich finde diese App sehr gut. Das einzige was ich nicht so toll finde ist das ich nicht die Wiki einsehen kann.

Works fine, but does nothing. I’m not really going to edit files and files from my phone. The kind of use I was/am looking for is managing projects (create/edit tasks), or create a placeholder repository, in some of my organizations, that may come in need while discussing on a meeting (for example). For those - managerial - things, I couldn’t make this app useful.

Einfach klasse!. Ich bin absolut zufrieden und froh, dass es jetzt endlich nach etlichen Jahren eine offizielle App von GitHub gibt! Für mich das Wichtigste Feature: „Issues“ – unkompliziert und schnell die eigene Repo auch unterwegs um Blick behaltenen!

It’s very good. It’s very good but still has some UX weirdness. For example stopping a scroll deceleration by pressing and dragging is totally broken and makes the app less fun to use. It would be valuable to have easier access to common markdown characters like backticks when writing comments. Good notification overview and management would help. Also seeing where I’m requested for review.

Endlich eine offizielle App, aber.... was ich entweder noch nicht gefunden habe oder was mir definitiv noch fehlt, ist die Möglichkeit, Branches zu wechseln. Ansonsten super App bis jetzt und sogar mit Dark Mode - besser als die Website.

Gute App. Meiner Meinung nach sollte man auch Dateien in seiner Repo bearbeiten können. Sonst ist alles gut.

Perfekt. Gefällt mir, dass nach und nach alle Festures dazukommen. Unterwegs die Übersicht über Issues und PR's zu haben ist ne riesige Erleichterung!

Great app - please add wiki pages though. This app is one of my favorites! I love GitHub and the mobile app makes it even better. I only miss my repository repositories a bit. 5 Stars anyway

Für Browser calls nervig. Wenn man in Safari einen GitHub link aufruft, öffnet sich die App und präsentiert einem den Login Screen. Wenn man sich anmeldet landet man irgendwo, nur nicht in dem Projekt, das man angeklickt hat. Warum verstehe ich nicht. Wenn Mann dann in dem Browser erneut den link aufruft, landet man in der Browseransicht und nicht in der App. Also für mich nutzlos.

Wow!. Endlich gibt es eine offizielle GitHub App. Ich liebe sie. Sie lässt sich super bedienen, ist extrem schnell und einfach toll 😁🔥

Nicely designed, but focus is only issues. You cannot even change your profile picture?! You mostly can’t do anything except handle issues.

Almost perfect. Can't set it to get push notifications for new activity on subscribed or created issues. Otherwise I don't miss anything really.

Essential. Not only does it integrate smoothly into my workflow as opposed to using the Website on mobile, which I somehow never did, but I also learned about two very useful repos, that I now use in nearly all my projects.

Mobile. Die Mobile App für GitHub ist super! Man kann alles leicht bedienen ohne immer ins Web zu müssen.

Gute App, ein paar Dinge fehlen noch. Die App ist für das Browsen des Codes optimal, es wäre aber gut, wenn man diesen auch in der App und nicht nur über die Website bearbeiten könnte👍

Endlich!!!. Habe sehr lange darauf gewartet.

Lack of push notifications is sad. Users should be able to get push notifications, especially about PR related stuff like assignments, change requests, comments, replies etc. Not just for ‘mentions’. And also they should be able to configure them by category, like only getting notifications when added as a Reviewer to a PR.

App läuft dauerhaft. Vor gestern fing es an, dass die App scheinbar dauerhaft im Hintergrund aktiv ist, gestern in der Bildschirmzeit 24 Stunden für Github, heute bemerkt und gelöscht.

Kapert alle GitHub-Links. Obwohl die App gut gestaltet und aufgebaut ist, öffnet sie automatisch alle Links zu GitHub nicht mehr in Safari, sondern in der App. Weil längst nicht alle Features umgesetzt sind und essentielle Dinge wie eine Commit-Liste fehlen, macht es diese App leider vollständig unbrauchbar für mich. Weil sich diese Übernahme der Links auch nicht abschalten lässt, muss ich die App in Gänze löschen, um nicht konstant gegen das Programm zu kämpfen.

This is awesome!. The app really helps me to be more productive on the go, I use it to review PRs, issues, or even merge sometimes. One feature I’d love to see is finding repos in a specific org, I don’t think it’s possible at the moment to search for a repo when viewing an org profile. Thanks

Top. Das einzige was mir etwas fehlt sind die Einstellungen bezüglich neuer Issues. Alles andere ist echt top!

Datenklau pur. App holt sämtliche Daten aus dem iPhone, datenschutzrechtlich sehr bedenklich.

Sehr gute App, aber.... was mir in der App aktuell fehlen, sind die Releases und Tags. Gerade bei Releases sind auch Changelogs enthalten, die ich so nur über den Browser nachlesen kann.

Nicht zu gebrauchen; Support nur nach Anmeldung möglich. Habe versucht, mich für die Nutzung dieser App anzumelden. Als Nutzername also meine Mailadresse (Freenet) eingegeben und dann die Meldung erhalten „unzulässiger Nutzername oder Emailadresse“. Ich hätte mir gern die negative Bewertung gespart und den Support darauf aufmerksam gemacht, so dass man den Fehler korrigieren kann. Ging aber nicht, denn nach Klick auf den Supportbutton erhält man dasselbe Anmeldungs-/Registrierungsfeld und da meine Email als „unkorrekt“ bezeichnet wird, musste ich diesen Weg der Informationsweitergabe wählen. Vielleicht ändert der Betreiber das mal und vielleicht auch dass man sich für eine Nachricht an den Support keinen neuen Account zulegen muss. Wenn man eine Frage an den Support stellt, wird man natürlich seine Adresse angeben, um eine Antwort zu erhalten. Dazu braucht man kein verifiziertes Kundenkonto.

Manage collaborators. Did I miss something or can I not manage collaborators for a repo?

Es ist soweit!. Das warten hat ein Ende!! Endlich gibt es eine offizielle GitHub App. Schönes Design inklusive Dark Mode und gratis Notifications. Leider kann man noch keine Dateien von anderen Branches anschauen und nichts ändern. Hoffentlich kommt zumindest ersteres noch bald.

Great, but I miss some features. This app is really nice and I often use it. As a project manager I miss some further functions to be able to act even at the airport, in the train or on the sofa: 1) Creation of new issues is incomplete It is not possible to label a new issue or to assign it to a milestone, assignee or project. 2) Actions on a repo missing Would be nice to see what’s going on (or wrong) on a repo… 3) Project integration Would be great to have a (simplified) view of projects.

Love the app - but there is a security issue. I love using the app, but one thing that I'm missing is the possibility to enable FaceID / TouchID or even a Passcode. I'd personally toggle this on, to prompt me with one of the options I mentioned above whenever the app is (re-)opened. Especially since the app has read & write access 😅(which I like, reviewing & merging PR's on the go is brilliant). Thanks!

Opens random links. GitHub opens up instead of Safari when trying to open random non-github urls from other apps. This must be fixed!

Great App, Needs Commits. Love the app, and used it throughout the beta, yet was always missing an overview of commits for repos. It‘s great to get insights on issues, pull requests and more, but an overview of commits is definitely missing!

GitHub Enterprise?. Good UI. I can’t find the option for GitHub enterprise.

Great app for notifications and a high level overview. App is great, would recommend.

PR File Links do not work. The app seems stable and all but every time I click a link that points to a specific file I end up in the PR overview. Quite not ideal as navigation is not perfect on the mobile phone by design.

Easy and intuitive to use. the app is designed well and has a seamless UX. It’s very intuitive to use.

Cluttered mess. Super confusing UI arrangement compared to the home page. I'm sure there are some use cases for it and I would have kept it around, but since it insists on opening all github links in the app, I had to uninstall it.

Really a nice and quick app. This is just a complete and well build app

Buggy. Seriously, whenever I use this app to check my notifications, nothing works. First, when I press an element I get an empty screen with a “Something went wrong. Try again.” Trying again doesn’t work, but when I go back, I can see the related conversation. But when I start scrolling, there’s a huge (like 50.000 pixels) empty screen I have to scroll through to get to the last message. Then, there’s nothing new there, the app is just apparently showing me notifications about stuff that doesn’t exist. No idea what’s going on. Please fix it.

Bricht mit Arbeitsflow auf iPad. Die App schaltet sich immer dazwischen, sobald man einen Github Link öffnet. Was nett gedacht ist, wird gerade auf dem iPad zu einer Geduldsprobe, wenn man im Multitasking die Apps schön angeordnet hat nur um bei einem Github Link die komplette Ansicht zu verlieren. Außerdem ist die Navigationshierarchie nicht die gleiche wie bei Github.com. Wer die Website kennt und am Desktop nur damit arbeitet, wird am iPad unnötig Zeit verlieren. Das Anlegen eines PAT oder die Verwaltung der Organisationen habe ich in dieser App gar nicht erst gefunden.

Perfect companion. The mobile app is perfect for browsing code by reviewing PRs when on the go.

Jupyter notebooks not working. The app is really good, whats missing is the visualization of the jupyter notebooks, instead of that you see just the code.. you have to open the notebook on the normal browser to visualize it.. this feature would be pretty helpful to install the app again in my device - another festure thst would be noce is the ability to fork repos within the app.. i also need to do it on the browser

Great. Great app

Just a super awesome platform & app. There is not much to say - GitHub is THE platform for code storage, code sharing and coding collaboration. The app provides the most important features to be able to use them in mobile use cases. Love it! Just one feature request: Possibility to create projects and milestones from within the app. This currently is not possible in the app.

Missing features. Can’t search code. Pretty essential feature IMO.

Not working for organizations. Sadly viewing any organization repository causes the app to constantly crash, been like this for months. Uninstalling resolves the problem for one time, next visit the crashing is back.

Well made. It’s very intuitive and snappy. Perfect to quickly browse the code or review PRs on the go.

API rate Limit exceeded. I’m getting this error all the time the last few days even when I’m just browsing through repos.

Very cool app. I like this app!

Perfect for topics on the go. One can do nice reviews while commuting or merge PRs. Mobile handling is a bit tricky but implemented in the best way one can think of.

Fast and getting more useful with every update. Suggestion for improvement: The profile tab should include the recent events list from GitHub.com.

No possibillity to fork projecs. Git pushes their users to use this App, but important „main features“ like forking projects are missing. An app ist only helpful if they offer the same features like website

Can’t view commits. You can’t view commits in the app or on the mobile web page. GotHub hosts Git repos, and of you can’t even view commits what’s the point?
