better choice (?). i increasingly loathe german reporting on foreign policies, especially the israeli war on gaza. The bbc seems to be slightly less biased.

No live programming on Saturdays. It says “Sportsworld” all day, but what you hear is something else. There should be an option to switch to the actual live programming.

Where did the 5 min news go?. There was a shot news summary each morning which now seems to have been discontinued. Why?

No news when you need them. The App doesn’t provide a stable news service. Some days you can listen to the 5-minutes news summary of the day. On other days(like today) this function is simply not available. Wh can’t have a button with the latest BBC world news or a summary thereof? One that is available every da?

Great app till last update. Last update stops streaming in background, now the app is nearly unusable.

Leider kein Querformat!. BBC ist mal wieder anders als alle anderen. Nicht zum Besten diesmal.

Review. Don’t know if this is for the app or the world service. The app is great. I use it for live news, reports, documentaries and the 5min news summary and the sleep timer. World service also great. All sports should be shifted to an own section in the app though. BBC loses me to other podcasts as soon as I hear sports.

Leider muss ich unabhängig der Qualität alle Sterne abziehen. Wie kann es sein, dass im Jahr 2024 eine App von so einem großen Medienunternehmen nicht in der Lage ist, die App im Querformat anzuzeigen. Wie bescheuert muss man sein, um zu glauben, dass man ein IPad hochkant in der Hand hält, wenn man es bequem mit dem Coverstand im Querformat abstellen kann. Nachrichten gut, von ERgonomie Null Ahnung. News are good but the app is terrific, because of unable to show it in Landscape format. Fire your coders!!!!

BBC World TV news not available. It is a pity that BBC World TV news are not included in the BBC World app. They are not available on BBC iplayer either, as BBC iPlayer only caters for people living in the UK.

I love the BBC but…. … the Google advertisements, which are displayed continuously at the bottom of the screen within the app are annoying. I would be willing to pay to get rid of it.
