Surprisingly good experience. The app comes with a very nice alternative touch UI that makes it possible to play dwarf fortress in fortress mode on the iPad without a keyboard. The developer‘s website offers a straightforward explanation of how to set up a docker server running dwarf fortress. Once this is set up, the app connects flawlessly to the server and the fun begins. However, there is a lot of room for improvements. For example, it is not possible to carefully prepare an embark at the moment. Also, it is not possible to disable the auto-pause on hitting damp stone. Understandably, the most current releases are not supported yet but are supposed to follow once the 0.44.x becomes stable. I would appreciate additional information about how to secure a dwarf fortress server that is set up to be accessed by the app (e.g. can the app handle key based ssh?). Support for adventure mode would also be a nice feature for the future.

bad! No one should buy this. Ich habe mir die App und das Abo geholt. Bekomme jedoch keinen Zugriff auf den Server. Der Support antwortet auch nicht. Was soll das? Leute geben Geld dafür aus und euch kümmert es nicht! Lasst die Finger davon!

Not playable No support No Help. Plz check...but there is no way to use this app (altough i paid): the site from the developer with the how to setup a server (which is necessary) is down, there is no answer by contacting the developer for help...if i am right i want my money back and plz remove this app from the appstore...
