Although the free service for pay pal stores is great, they recently instituted a $250.00 monthly minimum to utilize their return bar service which is what makes their process better than any of the others. They charge you per item when the customer drops off an item at one of the return bars which is fine but if you are not getting enough returns to get up to the $250.00 a month they bill you for the difference. Not great for all of us shopify new stores.
We started using Happy Returns a few months ago. It's been a great experience for our customers and a nice cost savings for the business as well. The bulk return shipping, plus access to return at any fedex location, is a win win for the customer and our business. Also, their support has been good too. Helping us fix kinks as they arise. We've enjoyed working with the team.
Great Concept. HORRIBLE customer service and very slow time to help you with issues. If you are paying this much a month for a service they should attend to your issues. LIKE LOGGING IN. It defaults every time to signing up for a new account and you can't log in. ALSO IT WONT LET YOU POST NEGATIVE REVIEWS.
Happy Returns provides a robust solution that is easy for both customers and admins to use. The in-person Return Bar option provides flexibility for customers who don't have printers or who prefer to return things in-person. Their growing international capabilities and options for logistical support are also helpful for growing brands that may not want or be able to manage reverse logistics fully in-house.
Happy Returns have helped us improve the returns holistically. Experience to customers is flawless, internal processes improved, exchanges were optimised and the drop off location options have driven cost of returns down. Their team is efficient and easy to work and KPI dashboards are super helpful for decision making.
Wonderful returns app, especially considering the new pricing model for merchants accepting PayPal! Meets most of our needs. Features I would love to see in the future include: - Support for the Cainiao within Order Tracking, as this is the primary global courier for dropshipping. - The ability to approve or deny return requests based on customers' return reason (i.e. approve "arrived damaged," but deny "I didn't like it").
We truly enjoy working with the Happy Returns team. The returns portal is simple and intuitive for our customers to use and the backend system is just as easy for the team. The new added customization features have been a big win. They make it easy by returning items in bulk and their support team responds quickly whenever we need them.

Since switching to Happy Returns, our customers have reached out to let us know how much they appreciate the seamless returns process. Not surprisingly 63% of our customers chose to return at one of the 2,600 return locations across the US - that data right there lets you know which method is popular with customers. Not sure what the store below is referring to, but we’ve had no issues with issuing store credits for returns. We have worked with the other 2 big return platforms and can unequivocally say that Happy Returns is the best option out there.
We used this app to quickly switch from a custom Returns app that was high cost, high maintenance. We immediately saw an increase in usability and customer satisfaction, and a decrease in customer support tickets regarding returns. Integration was as easy as it could be. the time to get up and running was stunning. The only thing that keeps this from being a five start review is the limitations around some customizations. because Happy Returns is designed to be used by any company, some customizations are impossible. Knowing these limitations, however, allows us to plan around and work with their wonderful support staff to come up with solutions that will work for us.
