Buggy and no chat?. I don’t understand why steam chat is its own app, why do I need two apps to use steam on my phone? Perhaps it’s a security concern? What’s odd is that I can open steam chat via the browser if I navigate to my friends list… Anyway, the app is pretty buggy and freezes every now and then, so I have to restart the app frequently to use it, that sucks. Besides that, the QR login works, and my steam account is safer for it; so that’s nice. Overall, does the most important thing, but is buggy and can’t do much else.

😐. Doesent work 90%of the time

Terrible. There’s so many bugs it’s actually insane, can’t even post listings now, amazing job from a multi billionaire company👍 what about investing in something better for the players that are keeping you up. Must be great to have no competition in the market.

The “updated” steam app is just a shell of its former self. The “update” This is now just a bloated Authenticator after they separated the chat functionality that was in this app to a new “steam chat” app. I only used the Authenticator and the chat, the fact that I now need 2 apps to do what was previously done in one is a huge step backwards

Family sharing. Me and my sister share our games but the favorite one i play from her library i suddenly need to purchase. If you say “ oh it’s because it’s not exactly in your library blah blah blah “ SHUT UP NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR YOUR DUMB EXCUSE, you were so great now you are trash.

The app are not working. I cannot login into my steam account since yesterday, I changed password and app says that password incorrect, but password is correct

So buggy i can’t even pay for my cart. First of all, i can’t pay for my cart of games (it’s black week and i’m away from my pc…), and secondly, there are several places you’ll get stuck because you can’t close «terms of service» n’ stuff… hopeless.. I thought and hoped they fixed this when they updated from the horrendous app that was before this one… but when i can’t even pay for the games i want to buy, it’s a hard 1/5 star from me… all i can see this app being useful for now is browsing games that i might want to buy when i get on my pc…

Dere som bare sitter og hyler fordi dere ikke får logget inn trenger ikke gi denne brilliante appen bare en stjerne når dere vet hvor bra denne appen er så lenge du er en beta tester. Uansett tar det sikkert ikke lang tid før dette blir en åpen beta.

If Steam is not the best on the market, I don’t know what is.. I mean, seriously. It’s the best PC games store out there with the best refund policy. The app is great too. I mostly use it as authenticator and maybe occasional shopping, nothing crazy.

Forbedringsforslag. Veldig god app, selv opplever jeg ingen eller svært få problemer med den. Men kan jeg kanskje komme med et forslag til forbedring av personverninnstillingene? Hva om dere kan gjøre det slik at en også kan velge hver enkelt bruker som kan se en brukers personopplysninger, istede for slik det er nå, hvor det er enten eller? Selv tror jeg det alt i alt vil øke sikkerheten enhver bruker på Steam...

Closed beta. The app is useless until you get a closed beta invite from Steam. By opening the app and trying to sign in you "express interest" and will get an invite. It took less than two days for me. Tested the app a while, and it is definitely good. Especially for deals and chatting. The 'Settings' can't be accessed, it won't scroll to the bottom of the menu. Bumped the rating to reflect my update.

Purchases don’t work. My credit card requires two factor authentication but steam won’t trigger it, so the transaction just sits there “working”

Login. Couldn’t even log in...

A terrible app if you want to make Steam purchases.... Generally speaking, the app works well, despite problems bringing up some games' store pages. However, purchasing games does not work using the app and credit card/PayPal checkout. Either I get an error page from "Adyen" or the money is reserved, but the transaction fails and thus no new game is available in the library. I contacted Steam customer service and they blame me and my bank for the problem, despite me using the same card as with previous successful purchases. They claim I haven't finished the checkout process and verification, though I did, and always do when making purchases through Steam. This is a little insulting, having been a loyal customer to Steam for well over a decade. We can only hope this will get fixed soon and that they will listen to the seemingly many reports of the same issues occurring for other customers as well. The problem persists on PC and mobile.

Fiks profilbilde. Veldig grei app, serlig hvis du er ute på farten og vil se hva vennene dine spiller og kanskje sende dem en melding. Men trekker av en stjerne fordi jeg får ikke skiftet profilbildet mitt fra telefonen.. IPhone 6

Fine but. It's an good app but the chat and notifications system is completely broken. Sometimes when I try to send a message, it refuses to do so. Random disconnecting. Also slow and sometimes no notifications

Steam. Наверное, это худшее приложение, которым я когда-либо пользовался. Очень много чего не работает как должно, хотел просмотреть моды для игры из мастерской - в итоге ни поиска, ни нормально работающих кнопок нету. И это приложение от Valve, какой позор(((

Cant even buy games. I tried to buy a game that was on sale but it didnt show up in my games library even though i paid. I contacted support and said i need help to buy it so i can play it but they just keep closing my help requests and telling me i will get refunded. I DONT WANT A REFUND I WANT THE GAME

Not perfect, but i don’t get the hate. The app works good, and the only complaint i have is that when you open the app after closing it, the search function doesn’t work until i wait a long time or restart the app.

This app was used to hijack my account. This app allowed an attacker to hijack my account and transfer all items of value from my account. The attacker transferred steam guard to another device and authorized trades with this app. Steam takes no responsibility, all my items are lost. DO NOT USE THIS

Laggy. Force your programmers to learn about bufferization. How am i supposed to know if i want the game if i cant even watch trailer without stutters? My WiFi is 800+ mbps, how much more yall need?

Crash at login. After I updated the steam app to v. 2.0.17, the app just keeps crashing after I try to login. Tried to redownload the app, but it's still crashing everytime after I try to login. Really stupid... My device: iPhone X with iOS 13.1.3

Drittapp. Jeg blir bare hacket via denne appen og har mista mange tusen av skins. Så bytter jeg passord på alt og logger ut kontoen min fra alle devicer, neida, denne appen er bare piss, ALT må skje via denne appen når du skal enten trade, confirme, logge inn osv osv Nå kommer jeg meg ikke inn på steam lengre igjen og må vente 15 EKSTRA DAGER på denne forbanna mobile autho pisset deres når appen deres ikke er sikret engang, da hjelper det heller ikke med 15 dagers venting. Fikk ikke logget inn. Skjermen hoppet ned hver gang jeg forsøkte å skrive inn passord. Ga opp til slutt og bare slettet hele greien.

External mandatory application.. It's very tragic and sad that this application had become completely mandatory if you want to have the full expeience of the Steam platform. It's such a hassle having to constantly pick up the phone to complete trades and logging in to the account on other devices.

Disappointed. Difficult to use and navigate. The log-in took forever bc the app didn’t seem to register when I pressed a button on screen or clicked enter on my phone keyboard. Loading takes a while. Once on the app, there’s not a lot one can do...

Useful app but the bugs are taking over. Sometimes I need to uninstall and install the app again cause I can’t login and I’m already logged in but I can only see the steam guard numbers and everything is glitched there is also very many bugs in this app but it’s a very useful app cause steam guard and you can chat with some of your friends if they don’t use snapchat and you can see what games they are playing. Very useful app but could need an update😁

Kommer ikke inn på app. Jeg får ikke lov til å logge inn etter steam guard sjekken. Det er ingen knapp for å gå videre, så jeg står med alle feltene fylt inn uten noen mulighet til å komme inn på appen. Flaut av et så stort selskap å lage en så dårlig app.

It’s a no from me. Terrible app. Worst companion I’ve ever seen. Take a note from Sony’s playstation apps - although they have room for improvement too. I’d bump it up by two stars if we got the option to set our profile pictures from our phones though, even if the app runs, looks and works like social media from the early 2000’s.

Lack of support, and dedication.. The app at this point has looked the same and had most of the same issues for the past 6-7 years, of not longer. It does not support Norways government required 2 factor authentication on debit and credit purchasses so we the store is relatively useless.

I dont know why this has so mann bad reviews. This app is awesome its steam but om a tablet/phone. Obviously you can’t play games on this app. But why are there so many bad reviews. Give it a 5 stars.

Some things are way to complicated. Why is it so difficult to find my wishlist in the app? One would think it would be a choice under store, but it’s not there?

Nothing works. Nothing on the app works like it's supposed to. Most of the placement of things on the app is broken, and whenever I tap a button it marks the button instead of clicking it. I basically can't do anything on this app, as it is extremely frustrating to do anything when nothing works.

Really good compared to some other companion apps. You can use every single feature that’s on the PC version. (Except launch the games obviously)
