FraudStar ‑ Fraud Protection App Reviews

FraudStar provides an additional layer of protection by integrating your store with minFraud- an AI-powered tool offered by MaxMind. It gives you more control over orders. You can screen out potentially risky orders with a large number of data points for risk assessment.

FraudStar is designed to identify fraudulent transactions by scanning and providing a score for transactions made via your Shopify store. The scoring rules are powered by the AI-based fraud detection service minFraud by MaxMind. It automatically assigns a score to every transaction. Examining the risk score will help quickly identify the potential risk level. FraudStar also provides information about the type of risk that is triggering the score associated with a certain order. Risks are divided into three levels. High, Medium and Low risk with default values of 70, 50 and 20 respectively. However, you can customise the risk weight scores based on your preference manually. For example, if we want to notify me of risks with 50 or less as low risk, we’ll change the risk score for low risk to 50. Every transaction is assessed based on data points to identify risk levels. FraudStar works on top of the fraud detection tool- minFraud by MaxMind. It is powered by machine learning models and human reviews of fraud patterns around the network. FraudStar is a simple plug-and-play app. Add FraudStar to your store, pay charges, set your plan and you are ready to see risk scores and warning on every order.

Log in to your Shopify Account, go-to apps and click on FraudStar -Fraud Protection app. You'll see the following three tabs:

1. Settings
2. Orders
3. Plans Upgrade

You can set thresholds of Risk Scores, and check consumed and available credits for orders.

This is the main dashboard of the FraudStar app. You can see order id, date, price, risk scores and detailed warning messages associated with every order you receive.
