The best language app. This is hands down the best language app I've ever tried! I have learned so much in just a couple of days and it has also given me a huge confidence boost in speaking a new language! I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn and practice speaking a new language !!
Dark mode. Great app, would be even greater if dark mode were added. The white screen burns my eyes at night
Cannot delete account. Account cannot be deleted When you go to profile / settings / account in the iOS app, there is no delete account button, even though support says there is, and HelloTalk are required to provide it due to GDPR.
Lost its value. An app that was fabulous in the beginning, but has evolved into what I can only describe as a garbage dating app. If you want to learn a language, stay away. If you want to use it for dating or friends, stay away. It's too time-consuming to find good study partners these days, if not impossible. Might be easier if you are a native English speaker in UK or US.
It's best. This app is very good and the app is so much better than others you see
Cant change anything. You cant change language or anything on your profile almost and you cant delete your account OR make a different one
BUG ALERT. Hellotalk is the best app but I refuse to give 5 star. Recently, a new problem popped up. I can’t scroll on other apps while doing a voiceroom. This is so frustrating idk if it’s a bug but pls fix it
Love this!. Clever idea to make this app, and very helpful for us who holds an interest in different languages. Recommended!!
GDPR breach. Requires birthdate and gender to use app. It should not be necessary to give out such personal data for a language app and thus it is in breach of GDPR
Very Social!. This app is great for socializing with people from all over the world! I dont think it is very helpful for learning a new language, but lets say you know a second language, but dont have anyone to speak it with, then HelloTalk is 100% for you! I personally love this app, since it gives me the oppertunity to speak german and Japanese with native speakers, which certainly improves my language skills!
Great app!. It’s a really great app for finding people who wants to learn the same language as you, chat with native speakers and improve your language skills! Highly recommended! However, a suggestion for the future is a dark/night mode 😅
Decent app but spams you. The app has recently started spamming notifications trying to get you to use the app, and there is no way to turn these off in the settings. Considering deleting it unless they address this
Bad experience with subscription!. It is not possible to cancel subscription from the app and the company is charging for 2 years in advance! Be careful people!
Garbage. This app is 100% TRASH Do NOT download this app, thank me later.
Switch native language. I accidentally pressed my native language is Korean and I’m English and I can’t change it :(
Awesome!. Great app for learning languages!
Important change needed. It’s needs to not auto favour, cause now it’s impossible to find older favorites. It’s just useless when you can pick your own favorites.
Absolute garbage. Have to give it to you, coulnd't survive 5 minutes in your app. What are you? a dating app? a podcast app? Cant find settings, too forver to locate - misidenfified icons. Every time I switch screen I get asked "Allow paste" - why are you reading clipboard every damn time. Every page has first 40% screen taken by "ads" for premium subscription. I get it - it cost to run business but first let me get used to this and let me find out what the damn app is? Being in a tech, I found is so rediculously confusing and distracting. What on earth is your app/design team thinking?
Super app. This app is a dream come true. :) Just what I need to practice my limited language skills.

Fun App for communicating directly with speakers of your target language. The comment system needs improvement, but other than that I've enjoyed this app immensely! The translation function is super useful, and I love how I can directly talk to native speakers of my target language. Thanks for a great app!
