Impossible to spot disinformation without dislike button. Youtube removed the dislike button, and now it’s just too much work to find videos worth watching. A video with 3000 likes might also have 300.000 dislikes because it was filled with disinformation about all sorts of things. How am I to larn how to do exercises right when people who do them wrong have nothing but likes? How is a kid supposed to use the internet to learn if lies have the same legitimacy as facts? Right now, creationism and flat earh videos are equal to evolution and astronomy videos. Nothing but likes and agreeing comments. In fact, science youtubers don’t even purge disinformation in the comments…. So actual science videos now look WORSE than disinformation videos…. Great work… All to spare CNN and Fox news from dislikes…. Insane. All the covid denier videos all have nothing but likes. They all seem fully credible because the deniers also clean out negative comments. It’s so easy to spread lies now that youtube is now just a useless platform for anything but pirating tv shows and music and watching established channels hoping they won’t just switch and start peddling lies. Everyone making videos about using violence against children as a way to raise them will have nothing but likes. Misogynistic videos, nothing but likes. Terrorist recruitment videos all have nothing but likes. Congrats, you really broke an already shaky platform. Just change your name to Disinformation Station. The boom in fringe lunacy has taken off in past years, and now it’s really going to hit new heights.

Dislike button. Removing the dislike button ruined a lot. It’s hard to tell what videos are worth watching without spending an eternity reading comments.

Stop deleting views. You really need to stop deleting views on music videos. That’s just plain disrespect to the artists that worked hard to make they song and music video. AND STOP WITH THE DOUBLE ADS. WHOEVER INVENTED THE DOUBLE ADS. I HATE YOU!!!!!

Deleting views and likes.. YouTube is deleting view and likes from artist and youtubers such as Blackpink, BTS and others! Please fix this fast as possible before their fandom sue you! 😡😤

Unfair treatment. They deleted an artists well deserved 67M views without any further explanation. Both the artist and fans deserve better.

Updates suck. The updates are always terrible, every time they update they take a step further back. Moving the setups and removing dislikes, serving no purpose other than making it harder for people.

Spam and scams in YouTube shorts. Many channels spam YouTube shorts and post spam with sexual content in the comments. There are also a lot of channels that spam scams that are directed at children, promising free Robucks and vbucks if they click the link in their description. Reporting these channels have done nothing an even though I click the do not recomend this channel button I still get the same videos. Allowing scams directed against children is grossly incompetent and there have been no action to fix this. YouTube, you are endangering children and seem to not care

Censoring ratings for bigger profits. Recently YouTube have been removing the ability to dislike videos and only showing likes. This is a huge problem because it will make it a lot harder to pick out videos that are clickbait/scams/bad(have bad intentions that might be harmful or damaging economically to the viewer). Before creators had the option themselves to either enable dislikes and likes or just remove the ratings completely (seeing videos with ratings disabled would have made the videos look more untrustworthy and thus making the viewer more skeptical to the information being said which is good). Now, with the new update creators themselves will not even be able to show their audience their own negative ratings, and that will make everyone more susceptible to scams and such(even though YouTube say scams are out of their guidelines and the videos will be removed quickly, this is not the case. YouTube have time and time again showed the inability to remove harmful content and such). Removing dislikes is like removing the overall star rating of a restaurant or hotel, it’s absolutely ridiculous. Or even worse like it is currently, just showing the positive reviews so all the hotels in the area are rated 5 stars even though many have huge flaws. And guess what, YouTube said this was because of targeted harassment towards some creators. Yes that is true it happens but that is like one case out of 300-1000 YouTubers. I would literally eat my own shoe if not more than 80% of creators want dislikes to be shown again. Probably the 10th. time I say this, creators WANT dislikes to be shown because it helps bolster their own reputation since most do not have anything to hide. And yes I know comment sections exist but they just make it ridiculously hard to judge a video when there literally is a rating on the video that sadly now only shows positive things. And the comment section can also be removed by the creator. So basically what creators can do now is remove the comment section and BAM the video suddenly only have positive reviews being shown to the person watching. We all know YouTube really doesn’t give a crap about some small YouTuber. Removing dislikes is their way of making advertisers happy(and probably pay more) because now none of their advertisements are shown on a video with bad reviews and thus giving their product a better reputation. So YouTube I personally challenge you; why not do it the democratic way, give all the creators a real voice and give THEM the opportunity to vote for dislikes to be shown again.

Youtube is not respecting our time. Why oh why did you remove the dislike statistics? There is no way knowing if the tutorial or other video im watching is any good. Youtube rewind issue. Youtube started rewind in 2011 and it was great until about 2017 where it lost its purpose. Of showing youtube as a whole community. And insted what we got was just things that were on youtube but not exclusive. Saying to us basically: you are only money makers.

YouTube ruins itself and I am amazed at how it still has users. They ruin the contest to make it kid friendly even though there is the YouTube kids app. They often change the design against public opinion. They have hundreds of ads and keep advertising for premium and that's the same as saying "pay us so we stop telling you to pay us" and now they have removed the "read more" button on comments

Unfair and infuriating. Your adds have become outrageously persistent lately and have become such a problem I can barely use the app without sighing out loud. You’re only interested in money now and it shows, especially in the ways you’re treating popular videos on your platform. People keep tabs on views, people work hard for them and calling people bots is kind of rude??? It’s become an insult to people that work hard for the success of their favorite creators. Endless advertising. Today I just had to stop using the app. Endless commercials that are now twice the length as last week and no second counter showing how long you must endure worse false advertising for get rich schemes than ever and no skip button. Get bent.

Reklame på You Tube:. You Tube er veldig fint for å finne musikk. Men det er fryktelig ødeleggende at alt skal avbrytes med reklame. Det er helt uinteressant å se den reklamen, så da blir valget bare å avslutte visningen og gå til noe annet i stedet. Det kan da ikke være i artistenes interesse heller at så mange slutter å se dem på grunn av reklameavbrudd etter bare noen sekunders visning.

Entertaining, but unfair. YouTube is obviously an entertaining app, YouTube is everywhere and there’s no one online who doesn’t know about YouTube, but it’s so unfair to its creators. Age restricting certain creators but leaving other creators that do the EXACT same thing alone is just plain favoritism. Also please stop updating this app, it’s fine as it is.

Intrusively loud audio. I’ve always loved using YouTube but it now seems to have gone for the more addictive approach like TikTok with their 1-minute Shorts, which are AWFULLY BAD! Always leaving out important context to so many videos. When you want to open the app discreetly, despite being on silent mode, bam LOUD NOISES! Is there no way for it not to automatically play Shorts on startup?

Old Ipad no longer works. I have an old ipad and whenever i open the app it tells me i need to udate, but the update is only available to ios 15 which isnt available to my ipad :( can i just never use it now...?

It's all downhill from here. I usually don't write reviews, but Youtube has motivated me to waste a few minutes of my time. Every single new change youtube has made to its system the last five years have been a net negative. Especially their 'genius' auto-playing thumbnail. Nothing like having a tons of just barely started videos cluttering your feed and ruining a fine tuned algorithm, filling your history with uninteresting and unwanted thrash, putting a time crunch on scrolling to prevent this from happening. Of course, you can't turn this off in the settings. And when it comes to settings, half the buttons are just advertisements for you to use more google products or pay them money for a service that is everincreasingly becoming more stale. What few settings are left is just barely surface level adjustments, catering to the absolute simplest of users. Say goodbye to such advanced settings as choosing resolution and FPS, now you can choose between the much superior 'Higher picture quality' or 'Data saver'. It's good to not have too many options, thinking might hurt. Its a sad path Youtube has taken, especially considering all the amazing content creators out there who have entertained me more than anyone else. I grew up on this platform, too bad I now only wish for it to die quickly so it doesn't sully its own bed even more. The moment a viable contenderer gets rolling I'm out of here, and will never choose Google for anything again, if I have the option to do so.

New miniplayer. Please revert the new mini player. When you swipe down a video, it used to be a bottom strip where you could still hear the video but easily browse other videos. Now it's a floating window that takes up a lot of screen estate and makes it hard to see other videos. It worked great before, why change it?

2023: Almost unusable. The removal of the dislike button and the nonstop ads have made YouTube horrible, bordering on unusable. Two 30 sec ads for videos lasting 2 min? Really? The removal of the dislike button has made YouTube a haven for scammers, propagandists and people that are just in it for a quick buck. Gone are the days of passion and fun. Welcome to the third stage of you know what.

To many ads. A few days ago I was watching a video and got four ads in a row, that’s stupid like no I don’t want four ads before the video even begins i just want to watch the video. And why do you give us ads when the video ends? I just want to watch something without needing to see an ad every 15 minutes.
