Why ?. I’ve been using it flawlessly on my iPad for about a year and a half now. But suddenly it won’t open and just crashes when I try to open the app. Yes I have updated, closed the app, closed all apps, and even factory resetted my iPad.

5 stars to normal Procreate. 1 star because of bad design choices in newest update.. This 1-star is for the newest update, and will only stay in the hope of getting attention, because the rounded edges on documents is a LEGITIMATE problem. I make comics in Procreate, and all my pages are rectangular - so it makes ZERO sense that the "overview" mode adds rounded edges to those same pages. Also: Dropdown menu for brushes is now bigger, so it covers more screen for no apparent reason. Five star will return as soon as user interface prioritizes effective use of screen space.

Offloading brushes?. I like the new update in general, I quickly figured out how to swap brush libraries and while I haven’t had time to check out all of the new brushes they look pretty good! Though, one thing that troubles me is suddenly when I open the app it offloads all of my brushes, taking a moment to load them in, which bothers me a lot as it feels pretty pointless because of this never happening before no matter if your storage is full or anything, and it feels like it has to stop and stutter rather than letting you just jump back into drawing. This is my main art program and while I feel I miss certain features from it in general it’s amazing, just really annoyed with this one particular thing and have not found a way to prevent it.

Please. Can you guys please fix that when you paint on a pic you can get the pic away and the paint stays not on it.

Why have it become so laggy!. I can’t use this app anymore. I have an Ipad pro M4 but the lag when drawing just breaks the drawing illusion. In slow motion I can see the line is lagging 5cm+ behind when drawing a fast line. If I draw a fast line from edge to edge it doesn’t start to appear before my pencil is halfways. Going back to the app concepts or apple notes it feels super responsive.

layers are broken. idk why but for some reason my layers stopped working like a week ago and since then i haven’t been able to move my layers, please fix this it’s a BIG turnoff

Horrible new update. New update absolutely ruins the fun out of drawing, replacing old brushes with new useless brushes, you can’t lower the opacity on most of them, the blending tool doesn’t work. Finding a brush that lets you draw clean lines is impossible without narrowing the brush and adding texture. Some don’t even allow you to change the size of the brush, a lot of brushes either makes the colours lighter or darker when I just want one singular colour, for apparently absolutely no reason. It isn’t worth the money. I am so disappointed.

Bugs. Although is fun and amazing to use. There also moments of when the app have a lot of bugs. There a times functions and commands do not work. And there is this re-accruing phenomenon where the Apple Pencil doesn’t work on the a the app. This has happened so many times now. And it’s getting ver frustrating. Please get those bugs fixed.

Holy Skoot. I really loved this app in the beginnings, i really did, but lately its been getting worse and worse. The settings are getting harder to use, it has been lagging and crashing a LOT, if you try to edit a layer it wont LET YOU UNDO PAST THAT POINT. AND SO IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE WHILE MOVING SOMETHING, YOU LEGIT CANT UNDO IT. GOd PLEASE FIX THE UNDO BUGS I JUST WANNA MAKE ART FOR THE GODS SAKE

Apple should make its own original drawing app. This is the most terrible app, It never works perfectly and the brushes strokes at end curves like a lumbar curve of a postrating human. Its terrible app, I wonder why Apple support you guys? Must be nepotism or something? Apple could make their own drawing app, But lets you guys profit instead. Also notes have zero latency while procreate is unstable. Awful app, Thank you for reading this. Hope your money gets wasted like mine.

Norwegian user. Hiiiii! I love this app,and i use it all the time. But I recently went on holiday to Turkey, and when I tried to open the app it just closed. When I got home to Norway, and tried to open the app, the same thing happened. I tried to search it up and tried everything, today I deleted the app and reinstalled it again. It worked however all my drawings and animations was deleted… I had many drawings from some years back and I would love to have them back. But I don’t know if it is possible. Otherwise the app is good and I recommend buying it!

I have a few questions.. I like the new update. I think it looks sleek and nice, and fits right in with iPadOS 26 and the Liquid Glass aesthetic. But although i like the changes to the layout, I noticed that a few brushes have either been changed, moved, or just disappeared. One brush i used to use a lot before the update was the Sketching brush “Peppermint”. But when I go into the new Sketch tab, I can’t find it. My first question is: Is the “Peppermint” brush removed? Second question is: If it’s still in the new update, which tab is it in? And my last question is: If it’s removed, do I have to download it?

Wonderful app. Wonderful app. But please, add the universal stylus sensitivity for pressure back!! Think about all the Procreate user that does not have a Apple Pencil Compatible i-pad. And everyone that has the Universal stylus. Im not saying everyone has it but just lease add that pressure back. Atleast for i-pad air or iOS 15. not saying you can do that for one single device but. Just think abt all the people. (And do not make it a upgrade. At least make it a upgrade for iOS 15. my iPad is not showing any more updates for some reason. If u ever decide to do it.)

I’ve used procreate for a long time and I love it but I am so tired of banding(lines showing up when blending or colouring) it’s getting worse and worse and is pretty annoying when you need smooth blending and transitions. Sluker batteri. Fin app med mange gode brushes o.l., men savner en del funksjoner som Adobe-pakken har, som gjør at jeg ikke helt har klart å hengi meg til denne appen. I tillegg sliter appen utrolig på batteriet, såpass mye at jeg lurte på om det var noe galt med iPaden min.

Folders. Pleeeease give us folders in folders and folders for fonts. Otherwise an amazing app

One small issue which I don’t know where to mention. To be completely honest, I love this app. It’s easy to understand and is user friendly for artists of all skill. There’s just one small issue that I don’t really know where I can mention, so I turned to this place. The issue is that I can’t export my animations as png. This doesn’t influence me that much because I can green screen, but green screen has its cons. I was just wondering if there’s anything that’s wrong with my iPad or something I’m doing wrong. I would very much appreciate a response, even though I understand that you are probably busy. Thank you

11/10 would recommend. Procreate is an incredible drawing tool for the iPad, and it’s cheap for such a high quality one, too! I’ve used procreate for two years now and it’s helped me immensely with developing my art style

Great but one tiny problem. Its an amazing app and i would give it 5 stars but i noticed that when i tried to use the selection thing to clip something. When i i used fill i had a very hard time finding out how to turn down the opacity. It would greatly improve the qaulity if you added a more direct opacity button to this :)

Colordrop sucks now.. I love this drawing app and I use it all the time. But the new colordrop quote on quote “improvement” sucks. If you try and colordrop something a different color it will literally color other areas if they are similar color or using similar shade. This SUCKS for people like me who uses greyscale or similar color schemes. Please fix this.

Sub folders. Good, but would be great if we could have sub-folders in the artwork selection screen and tools like gradient tools

Pure brilliance!. Started out using Procreate in combination with my iPad Pro as an easy-to-pick-up sketchpad - beforing doing the brunt of the work on Photoshop with a Wacom Cintiq. 20% in Procreate, and 80% in PS. After some time using this, I’m now using Procreate for 95% of my work - just saving 5% finishing touches in Photoshop! This is an incredible piece of software! 💎

Amazing. This app is one of my favorite apps and has helped me develop many beautiful creations and portraits however it was a little hard to understand at the begging but it may also have been because of my lack of experience. I have had this app for maybe 2-3 years and i have no regrets in buying it :)

My alpha lock is not working. I love this app but my alpha lock is not working. When I try to draw with alpha lock it just freezes so I cant draw anything with alpha lock but when I turn the alpha lock off it works please fix it I would love to have alpha lock again.

Had some problems but now they’re gone👍. Had some issues with the app freezing and being unable to save/export files. Thought I had lost all my work after reinstalling. The Procreate team helped me and were super supportive. Have your device backed up and you’ll be alright! And btw the app is great! 🙌💯

Could be time saving if. Procreate added a “magic lasso” tool for smart colouring a lineart, especially for anime-styled lineart. Because the current method is either by using the selection tool, Color drop, or manually which are all time consuming when refining the art. I’ve seen many clip studio artist who colour their art in 10-15 minutes. Please add this feature😮‍💨

Strong recommendation however... Absolutely the best app for drawing,or anything related to it with single purchase. My only feedback would be I’d like to see favourite brush feature introduced. Where you can pick your fav brush easily and without looking for it. Would be extremely helpful and handy.

Its too hard!!. It is too hard making anything. I am trying to learn how to use this app, but it is too hard. I tried making an icecream, but it looked like a fricking tower of diareah. It is probably a good drawing game but for me it is too hard, or maybe i am just not so good.

If I may-. When I have a mask layer I can't select from the actual layer when it doesn't have anything there on the mask layer-(idk if u understood that)I dunno if there's a reason but if there isn't could u maybe change that? And also is there a possibility to like- can u make it so I can put clipping mask over a group because I like to keep my colours and shading in one group but I don't really like merging them(in case I want to change something)

The new update is great! But…. I was very excited to try the new 5.2 update when I heard about a new stabilization tool for brushes! But with this new update artists such as myself realized this was not the best for art that requires clean lines. When I updated procreate and was really excited to try the new stabilization settings, I was honestly shocked! I thought to myself “what is happening???” No matter how much I messed with the settings, the stabilization felt absolutely horrible and not cooperative at all.. I have heard and seen other artists try the new settings as well, and they can not figure out how to use the new settings. I would really love if you looked at how Clip Studio Paint makes their brushes stabilized. There is just one setting and the brushes work fine for line art, but for procreate with a whopping 4 new sliders for brush stabilization it still feels horrible. I really hope you can take inspiration from other art programs and not make something yourself that doesn’t work at all… Thanks for reading
