Pretty good, missing PIP. Missing the mini player. I understand it is because of the video feed selector, but it could be an option. Otherwise great app for a reasonably priced streaming service.

(Mostly) Great value!. Not the cheapest service on the market, so unhappy 3rd party apps are required for syncing devices while watching old races.

Just an awful app. It is incredible that the sport with some of the most amount of money - with an organization running it, with the most amount of money in the world, cannot make a better app than this. It is incredibly unstable and choppy if you’re not on a multi-hundred megabit connection. The fact that we are in 2023, and this app still doesn’t have background play/picture in picture, EVEN FOR AUDIO STREAMS is incredible to me. If you want to listen to a session when out and you can’t watch, you need to have the screen unlocked in your pocket and pray that you don’t have a ghost touch on your screen that interrupts it. The app sells your data to hundreds of vendors, logging every single bit of data they can and so much more. This is seriously an awful app for this sport.

Love F1. App does the work

Useless. BM2101 everytime im gonna see a race from my phone to tv, useless for AirPlay.

Constant network issues. This app is horrible. It freezes up, report network issues and downgrade the resolution near constantly.

One of the worst apps. I am so disappointed in this app. You cannot Airplay or share the screen from a pc, to a TV because the developers doesn’t want you to. You either have to use the website browser, which sucks, or use the app on the TV itself. The way these developers handles this app is beyond me. It makes Viaplay and Sky look like saints. They charge you a lot for a product that they can’t deliver. Don’t get me started on the streaming quality and the obsession with going into a 140p resolution all of a sudden. Peace out!

App crashes. Whenever I open the app, it just crashes after a few seconds. Is this some sort of bug? Please look into it

Better but still very bad. It amazes me how F1 STILL have problems with their streaming app. My last review covered how casting worked 50/50. That is almost resolved. Still a lot of lag. But i new problem have come up. In mid stream without casting, the stream just jumpes about 10-15 seconds behind. No lag no nothing, just jumpes backwards in time. And this happens until you are 2 hours behind the stream. I don’t see the point of even paying for that if i not only am not able to watch live like i pay for, but i also have to watch half the race twice! And very often the entire stream just stoppes working so i have to re-enter. I can use wifi or mobile internet, makes no diffrence. Still lags like this and stops. Why can twitch, youtube, facebook etc stream, but F1 struggles? Traveling around isn’t an excuse because same thing happens on the other platforms. It amezes me… and i’m beginning to question why i’m even paying for this…

Options!!. You can’t change quality and use the app if you are back to Home Screen like many other apps like Netflix and youtube. Please fix that thank you

Chromecasting doesn’t work properly. The casting feature does not work consistently and hasn’t for at least three years. Please fix stability. The videos also suddenly gets shot to the end when casting even when you start live videos from the beginning.

Broken app, it plays random videos. Paying customer, the app has started automatically playing unwanted content, suddenly im watching Formula 3, which i never do, ever. No settings ever changed. Have to cancel the tv pro subscription as theres no way to contact support unless f1tv decide there is a problem. To make it worse, they sent me a non-sense developer response about re-installing and updating the app. All i can say is, keep the control of my F1 player and i keep my money. Im not on a free trial or anything but a long time paying subscriber, if i cannot decide what to watch and what to NOT watch, i should be on a free plan paid for by watching required ads or vids. Im done with their crap, after all i got all the races free via TV (even F3 if i wanted it but i dont) and dont need to pay for a subscription that forces me to watch F3. Their dev response is truly ridiculous, as a certified expert in several fields of programming i can certainly say that the response was NOT from a developer, but from a first line customer support dude who is likely to think his cpu is a Windows and that Tiktok is a programming language. Edit 2: im happy to see F1 is finally admitting to pushing unwanted videos, but still pretending its my fault is baffling, this should only happen to those using the service for free and that again is why im not paying for this ridiculous thing. You cant push content to a prescribe ber paying the full price, thats why we pay, to NOT get pushed unwAnted content. I need 2 months refund to resume my subscription, paid subscribers can not be denied control of their own subscription subscription, a paid subscription means full control, in the F1 app i have none.

Always buffering. I do not recommend this app if you’re gonna watch F1 on your iPad or mobile phone. It’s nearly constantly buffering on every stream. The app works good on TV or a computer tho

Terrible interface. The interface is a total disaster. Its hard to find what you want to see, hard to find a proper schedule of whats next etc. it should have a very simple «live» button to go live for whatever is live, not having to in and out of different sub menus. Also a proper schedule page without having to dig into several sub menus. Should also have a non spoiler page to be sure when you didnt manage to watch live to see whatever you want spoiler free. And then its the problem with streaming, even with a fiber connection the quality sometimes drops to a resolution that is so bad you cant make sense of what you are watching. And come on for the price you pay i demand 4K video not 1080p/HD. The only plus and reason for not giving a 1* is that i really much like the higlight videos.

Network issue. I get network issue warnings all the time, even though i dont have network issues. Loading times are extremely long. I have the same problems on my pc and Apple tv too

Does not work iPad. App does not work to Watch live race on iPad. Very frustrating. Also had to subscribe to f1tv pro 2 times.

iPad and Apple TV app is not great. F1 is awesome, but the app for iPad and Apple TV has some major issues when streaming or in playback. It cuts off whenever it wants.. Fix please!

Kunne vært MYE bedre!. Når du skal se et lagret opptak så må du trykke deg ihjel, ingen logisk løsning uten å måtte gå helt ut, for så å velge løpshelg. Når du skal caste, så hopper den rett til live eller slutten av sendingen, obs obs. Like dårlig og like bra som Rally TV app. Utrolig at en ordinasjon som FIA ikke Jan bedre enn dette! Og det koster oss over 3000,- kr for disse to appene… 🥲

Good app ruined by poor overviews. The app now works well compared to previous years, only to be quite solidly ruined by having no easy way to navigate the user interface for race fans. I strongly suggest to make a shortcut to a complete race weekend overview and schedule that shows the whole day with details for the different classes F1/F2/F3/PSC. So to find what’s planned for today, you end up looking online, or endless scrolling within the app within each racing class, often having to resort to going back to race year calendar, scroll down to this weekend, and then start searching. Hope the development will continue

Nice app. My only complaint is it doesnt keep playing in the background, or in like a corner of my screen, if i go out of the app on my phone. Love it other then that 🥰

Bad on iPad. Its so much lagg on the iPad, screen turns red here and there and it works so bad with the connection and quality goes bad everywhere please fix it

Waste of money. Dont waste your money on the subscription. That app does not work 80% of the time with apple tv or tvs with built in apple tv. They refuse to fix this even after years of complaints from all over the world. Avoid.

Chromecast error. I cannot stream from iPad to chromecast. Has never worked.now i ned to cancel my subscription and pay for Viaplay which is way more expensive… thank you. Oter than that its great.. i have no oter way to stream it to my tv. Have lost so mann races becouse i have to Watch it on a damn iPad

App gets worst every year. Fantastic content, races, documentaries and shows. But the app design, usability, and personal settings is just really bad. Get a grip F1 and start delivering a better app

Unstable... Keeps freezing somtimes, in the menus and bad quality sometimes in races.. I have a stable internett connection. This happens very ofte on the apple tv app

Good for passionate but the service shall improve. The app does not always work with chrome cast. It is Al slow to command a screen while casting on a tv.

MAKE CHROMECAST FEATURE MORE SMOOTH. I am sick and tired of an app at this kaliber too suck at casting to tvs, the app in itself is amazing with loads of features and long documentaries. But please make the casting to tvs more smooth and easier i always run into a problem that forces me to restart app.

They had one job to do... Ten minutes into the Brazilian grand prix and they are still not broadcasting the race…..Finally. The stream is now available on lap 7 as i am writing this. They are charging a premium price for a substandard product. Explanation F1tv?

Value? Nope. Better than last year, but still pretty bad compared to what you’re paying.

Play from beginning. If you’re 5 min late to the start, there is no way to start a live event from the beginning. It’s infuriating to not being able to go back to start if you missed the first few minutes.

Bad experience. No longer streams on multiple screens!!! Experience is ruined…

Decent app, but lacking view tracking. The app works fine on both iPhone and iPad, but it does not track what you have watched and how far you have come. If you for some reason exists the show you are watching you need to write down the time for when you resume. This is a major drawback. The content is great, especially TechTalk with Sam Collins. That was the reason I subscribed to F1TV. As stated by other reviews, an AppleTV-app is dearly missed but for now AirPlay works fine to stream to the TV.

Worse than useless. This is the worst streaming app ever. Stay away! You’re better off listening to the radio

An improvement, a way to go. Finally airplay is supported, which is a major upgrade for me. Still a way to go in the UI and overall design (especially for the price we’re paying), but since last year a nice improvement.

Missing airplay support. I dont understand why the airplay is limited to obly work on apple tv, while every other app can airplay to my samsung tv with integrated airplay

Horrible performance. Streaming gets like hiccups every 30 secs and it goes either 5 secs forward or backward, as well as dropping quality down to 360p within the hiccups. Then you get 25 secs with HD quality again... it’s the app because I have 0 problems watching it through my PC

Another session ruined.. I’m trying to watch the FP1 session from Miami, and the audio drops out for long periods. This happens at the same time on both the app, and in my web browser, so it’s clearly the broadcast itself, and not a local connection issue on my end. Thanks for ruining yet another session for me. It’s just unacceptable to pay this kind of money for a subscription that doesn’t work. I’m afraid this will be my last season with F1TV.

Chromecast doesnt work. Finally released chromecast. But the stream is crashing every 5 minutes. Stay away from this app/ subscription. Worthless. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Internet fails. The app itself is alright, i dont use AirPlay, just PC, but for those few moments when in out and about and want to watch, as soon as i am connected to WiFi, the app stops loading and i cant watch, all my other apps works, and i watch it just fine on PC. Never fails, it just wont work, even on my home WiFi

AirPlay problems. With the latest update I’m no longer able to AirPlay from iPhone to my Samsung TV on live broadcasts. I’ve tried restarting tv and phone, reinstalled the app. Non-live shows plays fine like before, but trying to start live broadcast and airplay the app just complains of network issues. Also Picture in Picture. Come on guys…

Picture in picture. Why is there no picture in picture? Quite bad app, and I did expect more. It should have been possible to show track position and/or one or more cockpits in smaller windows while watching the main race on full screen. On larger TVs it would also be great with split screen support. Come on! You can do much better than this.

Still issues. Much better than last season. At least you can stream using airplay now. But that does not help when it’s still full of bugs. BM3032 error message when drying to play the main channel now. PLC and other channels work fine, but the main event broadcast will not play. (Unless you use a workaround and enable PLC, then enable main event channel, and while it loads (before it fails with BM3032 code) you start a stream to an airplay device. Then the main event channel plays on your apple device. But that does not help if I’m not at home in-front of my apple-tv. Seriously, this should not be hard to do for the world’s largest Motorsport event!

Needs Chromecast support. Plz fix

Bajs. Not able to watch because of stuttering, lags, and the newest developement - lack of sound for up to a minute. Not only live but exactly the same on replays. Please fix this so we can watch the races!

Not showing live racing. Not worth the money as the iPad app does not provide live pictures during races.

Chromecast issues. The cast stopped about 10 times in under two hours. I restarted everything but it didn’t get better. Very satisfied with the cast functionality finally made possible. Been waiting for this.

Does not cast to Apple TV. Latest update screwed the casting functionality - not working at all. Horrible experience. FIX now!

Works only in on device no casting. No AirPlay or ChromeCast upport, no Apple TV app. On Mac the screen freezes/laggs in full screen.

Finally fixed for Chromecast, but…. You finally have the option to stream via Chromecast from iOs, and it works great UNTIL it doesnt. After streaming a couple of minutes the picture goes away and im left with the F1 TV logo with caption «Ready to cast» on my tv. Very annoying having to restart the app on my phone every couple of minutes…

Not representative reviews. I don’t understand all the hate this app gets. I used it all of the 21 season, and I encountered no issues. The quality is good, and now that it’s available on Apple TV it’s really nothing to say on the app’s functionality. However the pro subscription is somewhat on the expensive side.

Review. I paid to Get one month of F1-tv access, and I couldn’t watch any of the shows I had paid for, and nor could I restore my purchase. This app is really bad. I also had major problems trying to log into my formula 1 account and had to restore my password multiple times.

When it works. When it works, it’s really great, but you can’t expect paying costumers to keep using you when you can’t even access the start of every stream! Every damn time I tune in there is something wrong with my “internet” connection when everything should be live. It’s incredibly frustrating to pay for something that doesn’t work half the time. Also where is the Apple TV app? Tired of having to mirror my screen to be able to watch it on my tv.

AirPlay not supported. Not being able to cast to Samsung Smart TV from iPhone through AirPlay in 2022 seems like a joke. Haven’s seen any communication on a possible resolution to this issue from F1 TV either.

Problem with Airplay. I have to retry casting at least 15-20 times before the race and if i’m lucky i might get to see lights out in time on the tv! Most times i have to watch the first 10 laps on my iphone before i try casting again, so i don’t miss out on the good stuff… and almost every time when finally airplay works it’s a yellow flag or safety car and i’ve missed out. I don’t have problems with airplay when casting from any other app so the problem have to be the F1TV app. Hope there is a fix for this, it’s very frustrating.

Absolute garbage. If you pay for a subscription, don’t expect to be able to use it. The app somehow doesn’t see that I have an active subscription. Useless garbage

Unable to get the app to accept upgrade. Tried to make an upgrade, but it’s impossible to restore purchase. The app keeps insisting to try a second flow to restore. Whatever that means.

Close to scam. Wow, that was bad. No casting, so you’re stuck watching on the phone. How can you call that F1 TV? Tech team looking into that? Well, seems like you’ve been saying that for a long time now. Does tech team need to go to school first? No rewind/fast-forward/search option. I would expect that from an on demand service. It is completely out of the question watching full replays including introductions of FPs and Quali. No option to start from beginning if I join late. How can you call that «on demand»? Free selection of cameras? Well, if I want to switch to onboard camera, I drop out of the broadcast and lose commentary while it is loading. So I can’t use onboards, then. And why can I not mix picture and sound as I want? And the app - priority on cool design so you ruin the user experience (ease of navigation). And you charge full price for this crap. How rude. Subscription cancelled.

Chromecast fixed after update. As we speak I am using chromecast with the app. Fantastic. Now I hope all the buffering/lagging/loading during live broadcasts get fixed.

Crashes consistently when watching highlights. 1-2 minutes into a highlight video, the app crashes. I kill the app and start the highlight again, and it crashes again! Have to find my laptop and since you don’t allow watch in the browser on mobile.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Don't pay your subscription through the app store.. Renewing this through the app store doesn't work properly. You can't retrieve the subscription in the app. Customer service for F1 can't help even with the reciept from apple, and you'll have to ask for a refund, without knowing if it's going to try and renew next month again. So subscribe directly from F1, not through apple store. I'll have to wait ans see if this customer sevice dysropia has more problems in it's future.

Very Nice, except AirPlay to tv.. The app works fine for me, but when airplaying to tv, you cant choose camera options.

Stuck at miami. Miami gp was over 2 weeks ago but yet it doesnt update and i cant see ongoing gp’s

Chromecast. Only a few hickups using the app watching races, but casting to chromecast is a nightmare. App chrashing wont cast at all, stuck on loading screen etc.

Cant AirPlay or chromecast. Tried to cast/AirPlay this weekends race from my iPhone 12 pro Max and my iPad 6 to my 2018 Samsung Q8 but both failed… seems like the app doesnt fully support sharing. This has been a problem for years, i’ve been subscribing to f1 tv for atleast 4 seasons and this hasnt been fixed yet
