Modalyst: Dropshipping & POD App Reviews

Deleting App due to inventory issues and bug issues. I pay monthly and buy UPC number for each product which causing me to lose money now. My business is going a different way now

They have a lot of cool store stuff. However, the venders do not answer their emails regarding questions on sizing, fabric and such. One vender Q2 was the only vender who was very responsive..out of like 10. Venders also claim to be made in the US, but after doing my own research they are not. They also just disappear too. I wish they would screen them better. They do provide nice product pictures. I cannot comment on shipping or order processing yet. This is just in the first month of having the app.

Terrible! They don't check their suppliers. I just found out that some suppliers/wholesalers claim that product is made in US but in reality it's made in China, and the cost is way too high for Chinese made goods. Also some suppliers are not selling the products they intend to sell. Modalyst customer service is not very helpful as well. Very disappointed overall.

Modalyst is a dream come true for retailers like ourselves. It's a relatively new platform and they are taking reviews and suggestions from users. The support is awesome and eases all worries. This a great team and I'm really happy I signed up with Modalyst!

Extremely happy with Modalyst. Brilliant software, never had problems. Good selection of designers. We would stay with Modalyst as long as we can. We didn't find any better dropshipping company so far. Any better exist? Check our website www.justnatalie.com ;-)

Updated 9/13/2017 5 Stars I've been using the Modalyst app for over a year. I think their business is great! It is not easy finding a dropship marketplace that has good/fashionable items that are also well made. Modalyst does a great job at finding interesting brands. I refuse to consider Ali Express and others that just peddle low quality items with deliveries arriving in 4 weeks. Modalyst customer service is always quick and professional. WORST APP around. OMG i made the worst mistake ever investing my money on this app. the customer service is the worst, alex and samantha wont give you the time of the day. the interface is so bad. there are suppliers that no longer use the app but their products are still there on modalyst! i have products that are still synced to my store but no longer available on modalyst!! this is the worst app one can use. suppliers don't reply to emails. i think shopify should kick them out off the platform if they are this bad or be guilty by association.

App shows low shipping from Ali and others. When the order is processed shipping is over 100X I tried emailing them at their provided email on their help page and it was returned undeliverable! Do NOT TRUST THEM! YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY!

I recommend Modalyst. It is a pleasure to use this service and this app. All is automatic. Features are so amazing. Thanks Modalyst for your job ! Enjoy!

I have heard of Modalyst before but never really knew what they did. I came across them again and looked further into, I am so glad I did! I have a large natural and organic online store with about 20k products but mostly from one supplier. I wanted to start expanding and offer green fashion products. I found one company on there that has these beautiful vegan leather purses and I was sold! I have spent two days looking through all of the brands and picking which I want to add to my store. Modalyst makes it so easy to pull products in from hundreds of brands and I cannot wait to add more (it is actually kind of fun, lol). I am so happy that I am recommending this to a friend of mine that is opening an online store for accessories. I have been dealing with the nightmare of different vendor spreadsheets and having to pay money to someone to fix up spreadsheets so that it can be uploaded into Shopify. I have also spent hours adding them manually. I really wish ALL brands were on here so it would my job a lot easier, lol. I also find the 40% profit margin is very fair and have spotted checked some of the brands own stores and they are selling for the same MSRP as listed, so NO, they are not getting anything over on the retailers.

Please Shopfy see what is going on with this kind of supply, I had cancel and delete this app from my store but they charged me U$90,00 I want my money back I have working hard make one sell and They take our money .

I don't know how other people aren't encountering the amount of issues that I am. It's bad enough items are getting pushed to "Active" straight away in my store, but inventory #s are getting messed up too which is making my items appear as Out of Stock. Worst of all, after their customer service was trying to help with an issue, I ended up with duplicated items live on my store, one item completely disappeared, and another item had the original photos and not my edited photos. It's an absolute mess which has been stressful and time consuming. With Alibaba products the alternative app is Alibaba Workstation which had bad reviews so I didn't go that way. I can't imagine it's worse than Modalyst. I have not had any of these extensive issues using Oberlo with AliExpress. Shopify say it's Modalyst but Modalyst can't seem to resolve the import issues. Am I really the rare person who is having all these issues?

This app allows stolen art to be sold on people's websites and refuses to take responsibility by removing these vendors who sell infringed art

Thus far, the best partner I've found in this area - and I've shopped / tested about 10 so far. I love how easy it is to use. Looking forward to future improvements and additional suppliers / partners being added to the app.

I'm quit disappointed espacially with the costumer service. I mean the app itself is okey and has some good suppliers but there is bugs. There was a bug that reset product prices on my store to the wholesale modalyst prices each time I use it so I contacted Samantha in the costumer service. She was very slow, empty answers and she seemed that she doesn't want to help ( she keep leaving me seen and answering late away from my question). The costumer service is not always online and I already had to wait for them to be. Please change Samantha for me she is ot helping me at all!

I've made 3 test orders before going live. Out of those three order only one supplier delivered: 1. Supplier: Received the item but with promotional flyers (which is against the Modalyst policies) 2. Supplier: Got a refund after filling out a dispute on PayPal 3. Supplier: Never received the item nor got a refund In my opinion Modalyst doesn't make a quality check on their suppliers. Even Jose, the supplier manager at Modalyst, couldn't make an impact on those suppliers. The only positive thing so far was the quick customer support. You always get an answer, that's why I gave 2 stars. Otherwise the service isn't really reliable, at least not in Europe.

I've waited for six months before writing this review as I wanted to see how I would fare with Modalyst especially after having a negative experience with a competitor. What makes Modalyst stand out for me is the customer service that I've received throughout my journey. Initially Jill, the owner, reached out to me and followed up to ensure that I was making progress with the application. Recently Felix helped me with quick turnaround times when I wanted to convert my currency from CAD to USD after my store launched. Is Modalyst perfect - no it's not, but then nothing is. As I mentioned what sets it apart is the service; the team seems to genuinely want you to succeed. I am pleased with the application and happy that I found this company.
