ChangeRoom is an exclusively sustainable & ethical apparel marketplace in the form of a mobile app! We have launched our mobile app on the AppleStore and Google PlayStores. Our mission is to unite sustainable apparel brands across Canada to create a one-stop-shop for customers to find a convenient alternative to fast fashion. We believe the future of fashion is ethical & sustainable and would like to be part of this initiative to lower carbon emissions, textile waste, polluted waters, the number of underpaid workers and child labourers, and more!

Shop Locally

• Ability to find brands close to you and support local business owners online. This is especially important during a pandemic and the general shift to e-commerce.

Personalization

• Shoppers get a feed of recommended clothing on our home page based on their favorite styles, brands, and interests

Full Checkout

• Manages the full checkout process on behalf of brands with payments directly going from shoppers to each respective brand.

ChangeRoom strives to maintain sustainable and ethical standards, we ask that the merchants on our marketplace follow at least ONE of the following standards:

Eco-Friendly Fabrics

• At least 50% of the fabrics and materials used are eco-friendly such as organic cotton, bamboo and hemp

3rd Party Certification

• Meeting sustainable certification such as the Global Organic Textile, Oeko-Tex, and Better Cotton Initiative

Green Manufacturing

• Limit the amount of chemicals, textile waste and wastewater during manufacturing processes.

Ethical Practices

• Use production practices that ensure socially responsible working conditions such as a living wage, proper worker health & safety practices, and workers protection.

Recycled

• Use recycled or up-cycled fabrics instead of raw fabrics

Handmade

• Collections are made by hand with care
