Hva er KORG iMS-20-appen? iMS-20 is an analog synth studio; a complete recreation of the Korg MS-20 synth, an analog sequencer, a drum machine, and even Korg's Kaoss Pad technology. Plus, you can share your songs online via the SoundCloud!
iMS-20 is a complete music production app for iPad. It consists of a complete recreation of the legendary Korg MS-20 analog synth with the patching capability, plus a 16-step analog sequencer based on the Korg SQ-10, a six-part drum machine which can create drum parts by simply tapping the buttons, and a seven-channel mixer with 14 types of effects.
In addition, iMS-20 offers dual Kaoss Pads allowing you to generate music by simply stroking the pad and moving your fingers over it. Experiment to come up with wild musical phrase! And with access to the SoundCloud audio platform*, you can publish your songs, or collaborate on ideas with people anywhere in the world from within the app!

Work it!!. Well, not quite as advertised actually. Works only from the latest ios update and not the previous versions. Other then that, a dream come true this lovely little monster! If you listen to yesterdays or todays electonic music you will get a load of 'ahaaaa' experiences. The difference is, you are making the sounds yourself, with a learningcurve ;)
Brilliant!. In some ways this app is offering more features and is thus a better instrument compared to what it is supposed to emulate. The only bad news is of course that the user interface ( which is very good.. no real complaints there.. ) does not allow to play the app like you would the real gear. In that sense the iMS-20 is not anything like the real SQ-10 and MS-20. This is not really a problem at all and IMO the iMS-20 is a wonderful instrument and pretty much a must-have for the iPad. Interface-wise, it was a smart move to throw in two virtual Kaoss-pads.

This is so good, but please make it AUV3.. IAA is soon deprecated and we need to keep this gem.
Lots of fun, with a few issues/room for improvement.. If you are the type of person who like to go on a journey of tweaking and patching, this will scratch that itch. Lot of fun and fairly deep in terms of functionality. There’s a few things I would like to see addressed: 1) The option to turn off the constant triggering while editing drum sounds, I get that it’s supposed to be convenient but I find it annoyingly repetitive and would prefer a push-to-trigger. 2) More seriously is that the changes you make while tweaking/patching are not necessarily representative of what you actually get after you exit edit mode. It gets confused sometimes and some settings will “stick” meaning after you save/load you may have lost changes, and the patch isn’t what you thought you saved. 3) Exporting could be more convenient, as is unfortunately often the case. Exporting direct to dropbox would be welcome. Overall there are a few bugs that I found within the first hour, but I am having good fun with this. It’s a fun recreation of a classic, with some added bells and whistles, and it works great on the iPad which makes it very portable and fun for a gear head like me.
