Diablo Immortal

So close. Diablo Immortal is very impressive technically but at unforgivable costs. The game has impressive visuals and plays great when not crashing. To get a taste uses reasonable amount of storage space but to play the rest of the game uses far too much storage. The basic initial levels are fun and the controls work well but after a while you are hit with prompt after prompt for spending money. This done in such a predatory manner that it physically makes me sick. Until this behavior is addressed I will no longer purchase any game from Blizzard. There are very valid reasons that countries have banned this game and more should take action! This is not OK!!

A lil insight for all who wish to play. Currently a free to play player can get roughly 20 normal gems per day, a normal gem has 10 ranks and no matter your progress in the game will always drop as rank 1, it takes 3 of a previous rank to get to next rank, your character can have 14 gem slots, thats 19 683 normal gems to finish 1 out of 14 slots, 275 562 gems to farm to max all sockets, game has been out roughly 260 days at this point meaning had you farmed effectively since launch as a f2p you would be at roughly 5 200 gems aka not even close to maxing 1 gem slot, to fully max all 14 as a f2p it would take you roughly 37.78 YEARS in the games current state. Or you could buy gems, 300-400 platinum each, thats 82 million platinum (the most farmed atm without spending i believe is roughly 3.6 million) you can get 10 plat for 1 eternal orb, which means about 8.2 million eternal orbs, the most cost efficient package is 100$ for 7 500 orbs, you would need to buy that package about 1 103 times to get enough orbs for the plat needed IF you manage to buy all gems for the cheapest price, which is still about 110 300$ real life money🤡

P2W. Pure P2W. And prob will stay that way. Keep clear. Dont invest time into this crap. It could have been great. But blizzard ruined this aswell..

The would be nice without the bugs. Tha game would be nice, but other than being aggressively monetised, is also full of bugs that really spoil the gameplay. One may wonder if it's so monetised how can it be also so poorly tested and fixed? That is the question that makes me give one star overall.

Gambling. Terrible money machine… Graphics and gameplay is great - love it.. but the amount of money needed to complete this thing is nothing but horrific. Pay to win - but only the ultra rich (and lucky) can actually win. I would gladly pay for some skins - or a regular version of the game that functions without paid loot boxes… but this gambling is horrific. A true testament to why children or gambling addicts should stay far far away from this game, and most others too… since you cannot complete it without spending hundreds (or hundreds of thousands) of dollars. I would go so far as to boicott Diablo IV when it comes out next year - until they fix this, and learn that they should never do something like this again!

Don’t play it. Just wait for Diablo 4 instead.. What is this literally outsourced to China crap? It’s just another crappy p2w Diablo clone, just officially licensed. I suggest you just wait for Diablo 4 instead of playing this. There’s a reason this game is illegal in some countries. Let that sink in.

Should be illegal. This game is illegal in Belgium and the Netherlands. And that’s for multiple good reasons. This is not a game. It is gambling with real money disguised as a Diablo franchise game. It “plays” like Diablo until you reach level 54 or so. Then progression and any fun you might have had grinds to a standstill unless you fork out large sums of money to gamble for better gear. Hopefully this kind of gambling is banned in more countries.

Highway robbery. Good way to loose a lot of money with no return. I feel sorry for the people that actually suffer from addiction. This can have dire consequences…

Disgraceful monetisation. Diablo immortal can’t be called a game at all, it’s estimated that to get the very best gear you’ll have to purchase $500000 worth of real money. This isn’t an overstatement, this is actually what you could call ‘lucky’. Oh, and here’s another thing. The purchases are per CHARACTER. Outrageous. This ‘game’ shouldn’t be allowed to exist. Oh and here’s the last thing: It’s not only per character, but per SERVER TOO!!

Extreme Play 2 WIN. The game could be good. But Therese is a heavy paywall and The level og Pay 2 WIN in this game is staggering and should be illegal. Vert sand as I love The series and The aktualitet game basically is good. Broken by extreme greed.

Good game ruined by monetization tactics. The gameplay, graphics, voice acting and systems are what you can expect from a diablo title but on your phone. But the aggressive monetization can only be compared to games like raid shadow legends. Every psychological trick in the book is here from «800% value» to battle passes to daily login packs etc. its pay to win in every sense of the word as you can pay to ‘enhance’ your rifts so you drop guaranteed legendary gems. Some of which you cant get as a f2p player. Maxing a character in the best gems are estimated to cost around €100.000. Dont get it twisted and do small dolphin purchases as it will do nothing for you in the end. You either whale or dont have any chance at the best stuff. If you are gonna play this do it completely free to play and do so casually then you might get some enjoyment out of it. Very dissapointed in Blizzard for using one of their well liked franchises to milk money from their established fanbase.

Micro transactions. “A new analysis has suggested it could cost players up to $110,000 in order to fully upgrade a character in Diablo Immortal via microtransactions.” Play it only to have fun with friends, don’t set your goals high and save that amount of money to buy yourself something worthy, an apartment, a car or whatever you desire. Don’t be a fool and let yourself be robbed this way.

Honest. So, the game looks and feels great. It’s spot on in terms of the franchise in gameplay. It runs smooth, the big combo’s are rewarding as hell, and it is everything you’ve grown accustomed to from Diablo games, and more. Content rich, mob variations are better than ever before, it’s cross platform which is amazing, since you can pick up on the bus or whatever. But…. BUT….! The money factory has planned this game out from top to toe. There’s every potential pitfall payology you’ve ever encountered in mobile games, and more. In order to stay relevant at all, it’s been mathed out that you need to spend close to 50,000 dollars. And boy do they tempt you. I don’t mind paying somewhat in games at all. I have a family, so time is tight. But, when monetization begins to outweight the relevance of the grind. That’s where I start to have problems. If I only paid for some extra materials here and there that I don’t have time to grind. Sure, why not…. BUT this is next level. In order to have any kind of drop chances you need to shell out insane amounts of money over time. And the old activision / blizzard merge greed is fully fledged. This is intended to be a wallet grinding machine that wants you to sell your soul once you run out of funds to put into it. That’s how deep the payology runs in this one. The point of no return has been reached by blizzard, and they have proclaimed they no longer care about you as a player, as long as you keep spending on the transactions they dangle in your face. Because if you don’t, it will take you upwards of a decade (10y) to reach the same thing as someone that pays…. 10 years… of your life. Daily grind for 10 years. To even be remotely relevant to someone with deep pockets. Blizzard, you’ve created a great game, but this is a literal slap in the face of every gamer that ever existed. I hope you find your way back on the path of being great, because you were, once. This is a hard thing to come back from though. I’ve been with you since the first warcraft game way back when. But this….. holy…..

Unacceptable. It's 2022 and this game locks your character to a specific server (your progress does not carry over, if the server is down, your character and items are down), this game also locks your loot and items per character. So it's two locks. You want to play a different class? Start over. Your friend is on a different server? Start over. You pay for items? It's per character + per server. This is outrageous.

Extremely pay to win. High quality game, but everything after first 2 hours relies on daily log in, buying chests, etc etc!

Extremely predatory.. Imagine spending hundreds of hours and dollars and then your realm ends up dying. Everything you purchase is locked to that ONE character on that ONE server you picked. Let that sink in. It’s so heavily pay to win you won’t EVER get the best gems, you MIGHT be lucky and get somewhat decent gems if you spend 14+ hours a day for MONTHS. This is all according to the top Asian players from the beta and no, nothing has changed or will change. Blizzard has sunk so deep and they’re sinking even deeper with the launch of Diablo: Immortal.

Disgusting and greedy. It is such a shame too see how hard the modellers and programmers have worked on this. The game is really good as a mobile game alone. But it is absolutly destroyed by the greed in the shop. It is a highly competative game, it offers BGs and Leaderboards, as a f2p player you might aswell just uninstall on the spot. It is close too impossible for you to max out… after years or grinding everyday. I recommend going to youtube and see how extreme their shop is affecting the game, blizzard has absolutly lost their mind on this game and makes me wanna uninstall all their games alltogether. This is just disgusting how greedy and horrible you guys have become. This has too stop, show that you like making games again, and stop this greedy non-sense.

Bra. Ser mange som klager på at det er pay to win osv, men det syns jeg ikke. Så mye reklame om dette spillet så valgte å prøve det ut, ble helt hekta lol. Spilt det i flere timer i strekk i noen dager, veldig gøy å masse innhold til å være på mobil, likt som pc versjonen. Ble nettopp ferdig med main storyen å er i lvl 60. Spilt i litt over en uke. Blir sikkert lei etterhvert siden jeg har runna main storyen, men er ikke lei enda.

doesn't care about customers. After few months playing, it started throwing me out from the game many times a day. It’s not possible to contact support to get help. Market in the game totally crashed, can’t sell anything what make a game more difficult that it is. only money count!

I did play and enjoy the 20 ish hours of story while leveling, but the fact that you meet a pretty hard paywall when you start gearing and trying to get vetter gems is extremely disapointed. I wish the paywall was a bit more like old school runescape. I would not mind to pay sub fee for this game instead of having to spend 100s of dollars to be able to get a gem over 2 stars… crossing fingers for a update regarding the pay to win, but untill then i am uninstalling the game

Broken transactions - heavily p2w. Good game but heavily p2w. Also the transactions through itunes/apple are unstable. Bought 30USD pack and transaction was successful, but connection in game was temporarily broken and I did not get any items. Even after waiting 72hours and contacting support i was asked to contact apple. 100% unacceptable and basically fraud where you pay for something which is not delivered. Dont spend your money here. You will be disappointed!

Blizzard breaks their design-philosophy. Horribly immoral pay-to-win Legendary Crest-system, which is basically a long line of hoops designed to bypass international lootbox-laws. Mix that in with a jungle of progress-systems og currencies in place for maximum cashgrab. The basic gameplay is fun, but this game could have been amazing. Too bad current Blizz values money over gameplay. RIP «Gameplay trumps all» we had a good run.

Hidden lvl cap and hidden paywall. After you complete the campaign you hit a certain lvl your progress slow down to a crawl. The only way to progress is to pay your money. To compete and succeed in pvp you have to pay. To get the best rewards in rifts you have to pay. If you don’t pay, to bad you will forever be behind in all aspects of the game. To max out your character(max out all lvl 5 gems) it will cost you 500 000 dollars. This is just another manipulative soul less cash grab. Blizzard could have made a good Diablo game, because the foundation is there, but they choose to make another psychological manipulative cash grab game like so many others and it is NOT ok. This game is designed to prey on the weak and the people with gambling addiction, and with making it Blizzard show it’s true colors.

This is barely a game. I played the Diablo series since the first one. Yes, they are all about grinding and repetitive farming but this thing takes it to ridiculous levels. The pay to win factor for this game is so overwhelming that you might as well just hire someone to play for you as a full time job, pay them a solid salary with benefits and you’d still be better off than trying to advance through micro transactions.

Disgustingly predatory monetisation scheme. Everywhere I look there seems to be an attempt at syphoning money out of me. It’s exhausting.

Dumbed down and filled with microtransactions. The gameplay is simplified and just not fun or engaging when compared to the real Diablo games. You get spammed about things that don't belong in a Diablo game, like daily quests, log-in rewards, battle passes and deals in the store. This is just a bad mobile game with a Diablo skin, filled to the brim with predatory microtransactions. Mobile gaming is the bane of real games...

Boring Diablo Game. Aside from the pay to win situation, this game feels like a dumbed down diablo 3 reskin with less mechanics. I am aware its a mobile game, but if you like these type of games go for Diablo 2/3 or Parh of Exile.

Definition of predatory. Should be called Diablo Immoral because it is a disgusting and pathetic cash grab. The single most disgustingly monetised app ever in the history of gaming, gambling, scams, schemes and traps.. borderline criminal monetisation strategy. TL;DR You can either spend 20$ for a "loot-box" that unlocks unlocks after 5 minute dungeon or... Spend 6 months grinding to get the chance at the same level of progress. This is blizzard saying that 6 months of your DAILY gameplay is worth 20$ to them. Game has more than 21 upgrade systems that all point towards and can be skipped entirely for money.

Cashgrab. The game is Okey for the first 2-3 hours. After that this game costs ALOT of money to make any meaningful progression.

P2W trash. Game is good until you get to endgame - there you’ll have to open your wallet and spend horrible amount of cash if you want to max out your characters. If you like the Diablo series, my tip is to play through the story and then log off and delete the app and then pray to the Gods Blizzard don’t 7uck up Diablo IV as badly as Immor(t)al!

Unstable, buggy. Game is unstable on my iPhone. Quits often, but I played the game for a couple of weeks anyways. Then the game refused to start, I tried linking the game progress to battle net account, but it didn’t work because Diablo only allows linking in iOS safari, even though my default is firefox. I tried repairing the client, then I had to download the entire game again in little pieces, then finally….my progress was reset and gone. Garbage.

Penger penger penger. Spill kun historiedelen og slett deretter spillet, dersom man ikke har tenkt å bruke tusenvis av kroner for å spille (altså bli sterkere for å følge spillet). Betal betal betal, betalingsmuren er dessverre ganske så effektiv laget og vil være evigvarende. Kommer det nytt interessant innhold vil nok det aller meste være bak en betalingsmur. Typisk grådig mobilspill. Shame..! Spill heller diablo 3 på pc’en eller gå ut kaste litt frisbeegolf eller dart.

Great game with a catch. I don’t quite get all the 1 star reviews, I played through the main story without spending a dollar, the story is great and I was enjoying it very much. It has a lot of multiplayer gameplay that is new and interesting. Where it is not great is the loot box issue, but if you don’t mind grinding for equipment (like all the other Diablo games) then you don’t need to buy in to the Pay2win scheme. I give it a 5 star, because I really liked the story so far, and having it on the mobile gives you easy access to this great game. I hope they also release a mobile version of Diablo 4 (when it arrives), but rather have a pay once, and not this micro transaction scheme.
