Latest update error. Please make another update to Survey123 iOS app. This is a needed tool for operational use and field collection. Latest update to app does not work. I just had someone update their app but the new version will not open. It immediately crashes when it is opened. No functions can be performed. Can not use latest iOS until vetted agains other apps.

Clunky and Invasive. Everything about this app is clunky. From login to data entry to submission it’s like it was built by someone who never used it to do anything. It’s also invasive. It wants data from multiple accounts and is not clear about where the data goes. This is a real shame because agencies and institutions that use ESRI products push this survey app to field workers and citizen science projects and the difficulty in use is detrimental to the success and accuracy of those endeavors.

App tracks location when not using app. I set the app to use location services “while using the app”, yet when I’m not using the app it is still using my location. I have to go to settings and turn the location service to never to prevent the app from tracking my location when I’m not using this app. This bug needs to be fixed. Once I have completed my survey in two days I will be deleting this app and never using it again

Bug Fixes Please. - if i refresh my survey page, go into a survey, and exit back into the list, any movement on my touchscreen prompts the list to refresh over and over again. i have to force-close the app and reboot everything again for it to mostly return to the same bug. please fix this for more stars. - please hire UI designers who understand touch screen apps better. this app is clunky and frustrating to deal with due to unclear navigation around the app and large lag times following simple procedures (ie: exiting a survey)

Works pretty well. If I use the “Rating” option in the design of the form, my survey shows them as radio buttons with the Star image half way over it. That option is unusable with that bug.

Can’t use the app. Version 3.6 has many bugs, making it not useful. I have seen some of the functionality brought out with this version, and its great. Unfortunately I can’t use the app anymore. I can’t even revert back to an older version.

Horrible. Won’t load and requires and account but FWC instructions specifically say in bold to not sign up for an account. Horrible.

TRASH APp. THIS APP GETS WORSE WITH EACH UPDATE FIX THIS CRAP

Poor! Does not do as advertised!. Poor app needs a lot of work! Can not even see my survey that I created. Can not attach photos as advertised.

Update ruined surveys. The latest update absolutely broke our surveys, just days before we were going to bring it into the field. Updated on both iPhone and iPad, and both stopped working immediately. This is a really poor showing from ESRI, as you would expect that they would test their updates before implementing to make sure they work on the THING THAT THE APP IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

Joke of the year. Is this some kind a hoax can’t get past the green page server error looks like there’s a lot of negative feedback be best to uninstall this wipe it out and don’t look back I would have loved to have seen what very few good comments had seen just read an article that was posted today ; it recommended this app but it’s DOA-dead what a joke

App. Terrible !!!

Riddled with bugs. It’s better than paper, but they really need to hire a few more developers because this app doesn’t work very well. My hypothesis is that ESRI has a monopoly and doesn’t have to care about quality as much as they should.

Version 3.0.132. The latest update (July 5) apparently has a bug that prevents both sending and edits of previously sent survey forms if the survey has linked related tables. The app seems to send the parent table but gets hung up on the child table. Please fix this ESRI!

Bug in Feb 24 2021 update!. We have fields calculating numbers from an external csv. This newest updates no longer functions properly. I cannot tell if it is a calculation issue or the external csv issue, but it works fine on the previous version

Keyboard. The app works well overall. BUT, needs an update and improvement for the ending of the survey. What i mean is when users are using the keyboard to enter in a field, when they scroll down the checkmark is not available. They have to try and “push” keyboard down and away to allow check mark to appear. Very clunky, checkmark should always be a banner on the bottom. Also, the checkmark should be changed to a submit button, mostly for the older generations that cant see the check mark easily.

Editing sent surveys. Sent surveys can still not be edited. The latest update was supposed to fix this, but that isn’t the case.

Drew. I just trying to figure out how to comply with the FWC regarding the new requirement to report a deer harvest. I don’t know how they could have made it any more complicated. FWC says you don’t need to log in. It will open automatically. The app However requires a login. There is no place that I can see to create an account. I can’t be the only hunter that is pulling my hair out.

Map no longer works!. Now the geopoint only works for GPS, the map doesn’t show up! Without map, Survey123 lost its value! When I go to the settings>map, and select “view map library “, it shows “no compatible map found “ Please fix this issue ASAP!

Doesn’t work. Dislike. Going with call in deer reporting

??. The app does not work. Can not login, can not retrieve user ID, can not reset password!!!! Does NOT send any email to the email you use to set up. This is a joke! No stars for this crap of an app!!! Hopefully this will get somebodies attention!!! Then again,,,, maybe not.. crickets!!!!!!!!

Good app, but too many glitches. This app is a great idea and can be SO helpful in the field, but there’s so many glitches you can’t rely on it.

Add multiple pictures. The ability to add multiple pictures from the iPhone would get a 5th star. Can we get that ability in an update, please?

Issues with attaching photos. I have tried configuring the form multiple ways including just using the image sample and I can not get photos I have take to attach to the form. I can add files or take new photos but it doesn’t like browse and add the photos I have already taken. This is a big problem.

Cannot access enterprise account. After installation I tried to login to our enterprise AGO account. Nothing happens after entering the credentials. I have high hopes for the app. However at this point it is completely useless.

Can’t complete surveys via desktop?. I volunteer for an organization, and use this app to conduct field surveys for them. Is there a way to complete/add my notes to a draft survey via desktop? It seems not? I just detest typing that much on my phone. (Obviously I take photos and pin location while in the field.) It doesn’t let me sign in with a public ArcGIS account.

Will not open after update. After update App will not open

Doesn’t work at all. Only option is to sign in, the instructions on the fwc website explicitly states to not sign in. There is no other option to do anything but sign in.

UI Expectations. Input fields - the login screen in particular - do not support the OS native paste/selection paradigms. Very frustrating to log in to a portal when using strong passwords in a password manager.

Apple Track Pad. Everything works well with the iPad and my iPhone the only complain I have and hope it gets addressed down the road is, having the Survey123 iPad app compatible with the magic keyboard Track Pad. It would make the experience a lot more smoother and more convenient for people that use iPad to complete their surveys. Just this alone would definitely bring the app up to 5 starts in my book. Thank you

Great app but fix location issue. This is a great app overall, but the location services continue to be accessed whether or not the app is open (even if the iOS permissions set are only to allow location access when app is open). This could result in battery drain over time. On the ESRI forum this issue has been mentioned since at least 2018, please fix.

Not Working with I-phone. This app is not working. When refresh was selected it shutdown and all data was lost.

Herp observer 2.0. App used to work great, now it won’t allow me to send in any reports. I have multiple sitting in the outbox but they won’t send no matter what. I even tried creating a free ArcGIS acct on the web but when I went to sign in the app it said access denied.

Most Recent Update. Broke the “paste answers from favorite” feature

This app will not work for me. I have downloaded this app onto my iPhone 8 Plus and it will not load/open. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and the same issue is present. I have excellent WiFi so that is not the issue. I have the latest update iPhones have released. I need to use this app to record a survey ASAP and it will not function properly for me to do so. Please help!

Arcgis Account. Stupid beyond stupid. You need an account to sign in. You can get an account by signing in. No reasonable way to report a deer kill now. Stupid beyond stupid.

Clunky app. The app is useful in theory but there are a lot of issues that make it a UI nightmare that, judging by other reviews, have been around for a LONG time and haven’t been fixed. My main issue is attaching photos. I’m able to successfully attach a photo maybe 1 in every 20 attempts. The rest of the time I have to save them to my “files” and attach them that way. Very irritating. Next, text boxes are super invasive and there’s no easy way to get out of one. There should be a way to easily move on from a text box. Lastly, I hate that it continues to track my location when I’m not using it. That should stop because it kills my battery (important in the field!).

Can’t create an account. Very poor setup. Doesn’t take you to a create account page. Only sign ins. When you attempt to sign in say through Google, you go through all the steps then get a message that states “denied access go to create account “. Which apparently doesn’t exist. Thanks FWC.

Buggy app. App will randomly crash. Sometimes work is saved, sometimes work is t saved. The last crash, I got logged out and now the won’t recognize my user name and password word. I am two hours from my office, hope I can recover my work, for I will have lost at least a day, that is if I can get back into my account t. If I can not, I will have lost three weeks of work.

Works well if customized correctly. This app is awesome when designed well by the team who is customizing it. Many of the bugs reported by others are due to how it was customized, not due to Esri. Also they are constantly improving it! You can’t beat the ease of translations and ability to add offline maps to be viewed in the field, even while disconnected from the internet.

Does not work, FL FWC reporting. The FWC reporting form will not integrate with the app. It works fine on my husband’s android. I use IOS.

This is supposed to open in th FWC app.. This App is pure garbage I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still doesn't work! Hopefully by next year they can get an app that works!

Does not honor federated credentials. Esri needs to add federated sign in

Almost the perfect app. Great app, I just wish that you could use previous answers in new forms. For example. If I collect something and call it Green Frog 1, the next time I open the form I’d like to be able to select Green Frog 1 from a drop down list called Previous Collections. I know that you can save favourite answers but that is not ideal when you make 100s of collections. I know I could update my Previous Collections list at the end of every day, upload and sync my form but when you want to apply that collection through the day and are working with multiple users it gets a bit messy.

DUO 2FA not working. Hey, I’m trying to log in under an organization but the embedded website doesn’t show the options for Duo Mobile properly so I cannot use the app :(
