They see what you have in your phone. I just used this app for once to get into Citrix. To resume my experience the IT agent was helping me could see what I have in my phone. My apps now are working improperly and can’t use Facetime. Be aware! Don’t install it, this is a PRIVACY VIOLATION! I just hope Apple Team take care of this issue!!!

iOS 13 broke Apple Watch usefulness. I agree with the other reviewers who have discussed the one useful aspect of this app (the ability to use the Apple Watch to confirm controlled eRxs instead of having to use your phone) has been removed after upgrading to iOS 13. You would think that the main use of this app would have been tested prior to the release of iOS 13. As it is taking so long for a remedy, I am planning on discussing this with the IT department of our admittedly large hospital system and investigate other similar apps, but that actually work.

Doesn’t notify correctly for iPhone X. Since updating my phone from an iPhone 7 to iPhone X (same iOS) it’s no longer displaying a notification at all.

Where’s the notification sound?. This thing is turning into a pain in the neck. The push notification pops up for about 2 seconds WITHOUT A SOUND, then I spend 5-10 mins trying to figure out which password it wants in less than 30 seconds, starting the process over multiple times, rebooting the app — and what’s the deal with not functioning at all unless ALL my other apps are closed?! I hate it so far :(

Not updated often, broken on iOS 15 and watchOS 8. Wish they'd bother keeping it working right with newer iOS updates!

Gone from Apple Watch??. New watch, new phone, newly enrolled, lost apple watch app. Cannot approve prescriptions, have to leave the room, get my phone (really impolite to have a phone while with a patient). What happened??

Such a hassle!. Beware when you change or update your phone it will fail. This is the second time that it’s failed at a hospital after I reinstalled it and got it to work again. And if you work at multiple hospitals that all use Imprivata, it will fail at each hospital, multiple time!!! this is a horrible bug that needs to get worked out. I’m wasting time waiting for IT services to call me back!

Not Updated!. Ever since the new iPhone update it will not work with it! I check my work email and such everyday at home and at work and it’s quite bothersome that I can’t check it at home! Please do something about this!

App promotes Physician Burnout. Two big issues with this app. First, Apple Watch no longer allows Rx approvals. It only shows a “dismiss“ button. Secondly, when using Epic, the app requires re-entry of the Epic password for each prescription even though one is already signed in. This is redundant, onerous and a complete time waster. The company needs to improve the user experience and help prevent rather than cause physician burnout. PS: Would be nice to see a developer response to all the complaints. Says a lot about the company!

Does not work with Apple Watch. Just bought an Apple Watch to avoid the need to take my phone in the exam rooms. I ask my patients to put their phones away, so I did too…or so I thought. This app is not compatible with the Apple Watch. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. When is the company going to update their app to assist the need of doctors?

So much better than the old RSA token. This works well on my phone and Apple Watch.

No more Apple Watch support?. The iOS 13 update seems to have broken the Apple Watch functionality of Imprivata. No updates in 7 months? Come on, guys! You can’t get the Apple Watch working normally again with your app? That’s part of what made it so great!!! Please fix this, and I’ll change my rating.

Very convenient. I love how easy this app is to use! The push notifications is a great way to do The authentication.

Was good until version 7.8.1. The app was working nice until the 7.8.1 version. Now I get a message on the desktop saying I did not enable push notifications and to type PUSH o enable them, but nothing happens. Also, this version seems to have broken the Apple Watch connection. I can not find the app any more and do not get push notifications on the watch either. Hopefully this will get corrected or instructions for what I need to do will become obvious.

Great security. May be a small extra step but I’m not a big fan of internet extortion. Love this app

Imprivata won’t read this review but this is garbage. I’ve had to bug my ops supervisor 3 times to re-enroll. Problems can’t be fixed remotely. I have to make a little meeting to fix a problem created by this app. They say the new update fixes it. We’ll see but I doubt it. If you are a health system thinking of using Imprivata, don’t. If you up for renewal, don’t.

Awful. It’s a requirement for electronic prescribing in my large medical group. When it works, it’s good. But twice I have been disenrolled for no discernible reason. It takes a few hours to reenroll, including visiting a notary for identity proofing. Then 5 days for completion of enrollment on the vendor side. Maddening.

Apple Watch functionality lost. iOS 13 broke the ability to approve requests on Apple Watch. I was living in the future when I discreetly approved requests in front of my patients, now I look like I’m checking my phone and not paying attention to them. Please fix.

Extra step. Since the latest upgrade now a banner appears before I am able to approve a medication. It’s an unnecessary extra stop. Why? Why oh why?

Hit or miss. When it works or is great. Recently, I get the approve button on my watch but nothing happens when I hit it. Then ½ the time when I pull out my phone and hit approve it will work. What gives??

Working smoothly. It’s quick and easy for my workflow, and I use the app specifically from home. Bluetooth feature really helps without actually getting my phone out

Approve/Deny Broken. I second the approve dent problem on iOS 13. Not only does it not work with the watch, the phone itself of course needs to be unlocked to get the approve / deny choice. This adds a significant amount of time to my day , especially covering for multiple doctors. The low power Bluetooth dongle almost never works as well now, which I know is an also an Imprivata desktop issue, but it makes the loss of approve/deny on watch or lock screen even more annoying. Reviews are pretty worthless here since at least for e-prescribing users aren’t choosing this platform in most cases, but we can complain to IT and encourage them to find a better vendor, so please fix this.

No longer transmits to Apple Watch. I really enjoyed that I could approve my meds with my Apple Watch but that feature is no longer available and really impedes patient care.

iOS 13 not functional with AppleWatch. I bought an Apple Watch two years ago for the sole purpose of using it for two factor authorization for narcotic e-prescribing. With iOS 13, you cannot use Apple Watch to approve or deny such. You only get an option to dismiss. Now, I have to dig my phone out of my pocket in front of patients to approve an Rx I just signed. I can’t leave my phone on my office desk anymore. Please update and fix this, Imprivata.

Awful. This is a requirement for my job and this app is awful. Turn on notifications to register but no notification appears. Also there is no webpage to register. Why are companies reliant on this company? Anyone?

Took the apple watch approval away. Just updated and lost the ability to approve prescriptions on my Apple Watch. This was an extremely convenient feature and I hope they bring it back.

Bring back Approve/Deny prompt. Since upgrading to the iPhone 11Pro I can no longer use the Approve/Deny prompt. I now have to send texts to myself which is more time consuming. It was great when I could just approve from my watch. Please bring this functionality back.

Zero stars. This app hijacked my phone. It was installed as dual factor identification for accessing my work email but I can’t get into any of my secure apps such as my online banking. It signed me out of every app on my phone. Terrible app and I feel unsafe having it in my phone.

Great app. Works 100% of the time all the time. Except when it doesn’t work!

Soooo unhelpful for reenrollmemt. So stupid!! I have no clue to re enroll the id after changing the phone. No information is offered anywhere to help. So unhelpful. Do you never consider people changing phones when developing your system??

App Works Great For Me. This app works great for me but if you have a bad internet connection obviously it’s not going to help. I also get the watch push notifications everytime 👌🏻

Watch doesn’t work. Since iOS 13, no longer able to approve meds on watch, now requiring you to have your phone and actually sign in each time... greatly slowing down daily workflow. The watch just shows “dismiss” so you can’t approve even if you wanted to. Please fix quickly!

Missing Apple Watch support. Missing Apple Watch support. Features do not work consistently. Wish it worked better

Notifications. The total amount of time wasted trying to log in to do anything with my work with this app is ridiculous. Even just trying to check my paycheck from home is a nightmare. The app worked maybe 3 times. Had trouble with my phone so had to trade it in and now but doesn’t work at all with this IPhone 7. The alerts NEVER appear, and even when I manually punch in the codes, it kicks me out and says I have the wrong log information. Absolutely terrible

Stops working. It was working fine for me but then I got a new phone (same number) and it stopped working. It keeps telling me I have to re enroll, but there’s no where that I can find to re enroll. Way too many steps and complications just to do something so simple as checking my pay stub at home

Works for me. Works every time I access the VPN. I like that I don’t have to open the app to approve the token.

Imprivata for prescription verification. As a hospital system we just started using this version of Imprivata for providers to authenticate for narcotic prescriptions and it has been nothing but great and very easy for our providers.

iOS/Watch OS notifications fixed!. iOS 13 notifications are fixed in version 6.3.1.x - you can again long-press the notification from the lock screen of your phone to approve/deny the token request. Actionable notifications again appear on the Apple Watch too. Thanks to Imprivata for getting this fix in place.

Apple Watch. I can’t get app availability on watch after this last update. The part where, it didn’t work at all in iPhones, is fixed. IT can’t figure out how to get app on watch

Garbage - each update requires that I re-enroll.. Every time the app auto updates, I am forced to go back to the helpdesk at work to reenroll. This app, while beautiful, is extremely annoying to have to contend with and their Update system is in need of serious work

Update!. Worked fine until I purchased an iPhone 8 and now no notifications show up regardless of my app settings. Cannot log in remotely via my laptop now since no approval appears

Watch functionality broken in iOS 13. iOS 13 broke the Apple Watch functionality. Instead of getting the “Approve/Deny” prompt on the watch it just shows the notification with “Dismiss” forcing you to use the phone to actually approve access. Need an app update from Imprivata to restore this functionality (they have to keep with Apple’s API changes to avoid functionality losses when Apple moves forward).

Glitchy annoying app. We use this app for hippa compliant communications between docs. Worked well until recent coupe updates. Now it is glitchy and laggy. Very difficult to use.

Terrible. Every time I try to login from home to do schedule, check work emails or now select my annual insurance benefits, the Impravita app stops working and I have to wait to reach out to work IT to reset my Impravita id again on my iPhone. Just had to have it reset and now will have it reset again, because it stopped working again and of course I’m at work, but IT doesn’t work past 5 pm or on weekends 😞😒 Just not a reliable service for employees

Update - approve box problems. You MUST always click the notification to see and approve option for an order. Even when the app is open It will not automatically show up. The most basic function of the app doesn’t work.

Switched devices. I’m having difficulty. I am able to reinstall the app , but not able to resign in the new device. Unable to find a way to delete the old device. Left a message when I found some remote #.

No Longer Functioning Properly after iOS 13 Upgrade. After upgrading iPhone to iOS 13 this app no longer functions properly. Notification that would allow me to log in with long tap and approval is not received. I am forced to type in a key manually. Lame.

Apple watch. Yesterday able to use with Apple Watch. I did the update last night. Today unable to use with watch. Please update the app. Now it is working again!

Phone and watch no longer communicate. New update for watch and or phone have rendered the functionality on my watch useless. No way to add app back on. You NEED to address this ASAP and keep up with Apple so when they do updates your product works. Update - reboot phone and watch. All good now!

App works with needed IT support. When you change a device or seemingly for no reason if you upgrade the OS I have had to get IT to reset my account access to reestablish remote access to our hospital emr.

No longer working. Ever since I got a new iPhone and started using iOS 13, it no longer works. I don’t get the notification anymore to approve the sign in. Even when I try to manually type in the code, it still won’t accept it.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. My hospital implemented this two factor authentication program/device recently and it is just a nightmare to log into the vpn/network now to actually do my job. I punch in the code to the website and then log in with my password... Only to get taken back to the impravata page. So frustrating and unacceptable.

Horrible. Clunky, slow. Can’t think of a single good thing about this app.

Downgrade on the upgrade. Now the app shows a banner before the “approve” button. An extra step! Tried to fix that. Now it won’t work at all! Even deleting and reinstalling did not help

Extra useless steps. I agree with the other reviews. Now you have to tap 2x to approve a medication script. It was much better before the update. And with the simplified e prescribing, most of the time it doesn't work right and I have to wait until it times out to manually push the code. What utter rubbish.

Worst app ever. This app is ridiculously hard to use. You can’t copy the codes to past them but they renew every 30 secs???? Makes it impossible to write the codes in time

Notifications?. The Android version correctly displays notifications. The iOS version does not. I then have to open the app and enter the code every time. Not user-friendly like promised. I’m using an iPhone X on iOS 11.2.1.

Aggravated. I’m trying to log into my work account and for the ID it had my old #, I can not find out how to change my # HELP!!! I want to get into my work account!

No Longer Works. Since upgrading to iPhone X, no longer receiving notification. Struggling 5 or 6 tries to even get the SMS code to send through. Very disappointing and more trouble than its worth.

Wasted a lot of time. Have an I phone 7plus and don’t get any of the notifications. I type the code in and just continue to get error messages that won’t allow me to log in to my employee portal. It’s very frustrating when you need to access sites for work from home and just can’t

Apple Watch and Force Touch Broken. The most important time saving features of this app do not work in iOS 13.

Watch does not work. It used to work on the watch before the latest update but now it no longer works in the apple watch. That is a huge turn off. It was so easy to approve Rx using the watch without having to type in that code from your phone every time. Please fix this.

Fail. This app has become a critical part of our patient care to prescribe pain medications. It fails constantly and requires a specialist to reenroll after it fails. Huge headache that is detrimental to patient care

Just quit today.. Worked x 3 weeks. Today told me that I’ve never used it before and from then on, it insisted that I approve, then type in the code anyway, then it kept saying, “Try again.”

App icon doesn’t work. The app icon is blank on my home screen.

Worked for a while. Approve button disappeared and now I have to wait for the option of putting code in to sign scripts!! This easily quadruples my time and also cannot use watch. Please fix it

Slows productivity and a privacy concern. This app wants access to my location and to have constant access to my Bluetooth.

Doesn’t work with iPhone XR. Won’t work EVER now that I got a new phone, which basically means I can’t check email or login to work apps from home. Worthless

If you get a new phone, need to update serial number. This app used to work very well, and I could approve with Apple Watch also, but after I got a new iPhone 11with iOS 13, the watch no longer functioned at all, and I couldn’t approve with the code on phone app either (which was generating codes). But after my administration updated the serial number in our system, all works fine again.

Not impressed. This app worked fine initially on my old phone. Now that I’ve upgraded to an Apple XS (with the same phone number) it no longer works as intended. The automatic push notifications to approve don’t ever show up anymore nor do the codes on the screen work when entered. I have to have an SMS code sent every time and then enter in the number. It still allows me into my work site but seems like a flaw in the app and an additional step for me. I wouldn’t care if this was the intended functionality but I know it’s not since it used to work. Seems like I’m not the only one with this complaint. I finally got tired of deleting the app and reinstalling just to see if it finally helped (it hasn’t) so I decided to review.

Please update..... Notifications don’t work on new iPhones. (iPhone 8 & X) I have to open and put the code in every time! Please fix.

Needs iPhone X update. Imprivata hasn’t updated for facial recognition yet. As such you will not get a notification. You have to tap open the app and type the ID code as required. Come on Imprivata let’s get that update.

Garbage app by garbage devs. Just a terrible ducking app. Never works and consistently locks you out from remote access.

Extremely user unfriendly. I continually approve the login on my iPhone 8 and it won’t acknowledge this approve on google chrome. On Microsoft edge it immediately gives me a 404 page not found error after approval.
