Not great. I will not be renewing the yearly fee for this app.. Read this review and demo the app thoroughly before buying. I wanted to love this app however it has problems and I feel you get suckered into buying a year because they know you would quit paying for it after a month. The problems: 1. AI shot placement and shot speed is not accurate with or without the Swing Mount (I have the swing mount too); 2. Never been able to get autoscoring to work even though I recorded all points from beginning to end of the match. It just gives me an error saying it failed to autoscore with no reason or remedy; 3. It had random bugs that should not exist for the amount of money they get for this app. With that being said, I have found it useful to watch replays and filter by swing type (which seems fairly accurate) but I don’t fully trust the stats because of the inaccurate AI shot placement and speed.

Great even for lower level players!. I’ve only been playing tennis for a few years. I’m a 3.0 or, on good days, a 3.5 player. This app is - by far - my favorite app. The video replay helped me correct an error in my serve that my instructor has tried to fix but I could never see it. Once I replayed my server in slow motion it made all the sense in the world. Even without filming, the ability to real-time track my game - the score, whose serving, first and second serves, aces and double faults, etc. - has been wonderful. Get this app. It’s amazing.

I love it. I just love this Product and how the team is constantly trying to make it better. As an avid user I realize there are few areas to improve but with the amount of data collected and analyzed am confident this will be the go to tennis app in the future. Rating it 4 since it still hasn’t attained maturity as a reliable product like Hawkeye but I would highly recommend it to intermediate to advance level rec players and of course teens who are trying to make it big. Gr8 job and kudos to swing vision team. Hope you do great

Worth the cost of just editing. App is brilliant. I’ve been waiting 10 years for an app like this. It can be your own personal coach backed with real data. I’d give it 5 stars but my first recorded 3 set match is stuck on a black screen and have not got a fix. I also don’t know if the raw video is lost. Still waiting patiently on support to get back with me with a fix. I only got a response until I actually became a subscriber. Still, I’ve used it 4 times with no problems now. It would be really cool if you could tie multiple smart phones together to get angles of both ends of the court. Exciting to think about.

Refreshing. I am very happy with this app. I have subscribed for the pro version and using it 3 times a week mainly to track score, stats. The major flaw I noticed is when using the iwatch in the wrist of your forehand arm to track shots, it consistently misinterpret serves by overheads. Being a developer myself, i think an easy fix would be for the app to track the first shot of every point and every shot after a “fault” as a serve. Don't look for type of shot or movement pattern, every first shot would always be a serve. Hope I could see that fix coming with the future version. Other than that, I enjoy this app very much and I am happy to support a refreshing idea like this is.

Worst Support Staff. I’ve been using this app since August 2023. In that time I’ve opened 3 support things for the same issue and I’ve been left no answers every time. On top of this they are coming out with a price increase while not even fixing or making sure their software and product actually performs well. There have been several sessions I’ve had where the ball is mid flight and it cuts off and goes to the next one. Or where it will mark it out or in and the ball when to the left and it marks the right side of the court. It’ll go deep right and it marks the left inside. I was excited and liked the idea of this app at first but honestly to me personally it’s all hype and no actual use for real games or even practices. That being said I mean specifically ball machine practice. It is literally the worst thing in the world for ball machine practice. The only thing I’ve truly found it useful for is serve practice and that’s about it. Everything else about it is lack luster and you’d have a better time just recording yourself normally and trying to improve that way than this “AI” feature.

Ios13 forced update broke app with Apple Watch 2. **Updated review** After the software team release an update letting the new version of the app be compatible with watch os5, all is well again in the world. The app is back to working beautifully and is a great way to keep track of not only tennis stats but of overall fitness integrating with Apple health. Thanks for the quick fix and a great app. *previous review* After carefully reading the release notes noting that the app will only work with watch os6 (WHO DOES THIS?!?!) and carefully not selecting the app for upgrade, my phone apparently updated it overnight and now the app won’t work anymore with my watch. It’s not even available to put on my watch. VERY disappointed the new version is not backwards compatable with older watch OS versions and now I can’t use the app at all.

Has potential. As a former player and now professional coach I was really excited at the potential it had. Backed by Roddick and Blake I was expecting more accuracy and more user friendly. It has issues tracking serves and the data gets mixed up on practice sets. It also wont let me dial the court in from the apple watch if youre playing a set. Its almost impossible to line up the line to the service line in the blaring sunlight without the apple watch. Not so much an issue at night. App has trouble with shadows. My thoughts are its really great but not worth paying that much monthly with all the glitches and the data not adding up and contradicting itself. This is an issue if youre coaching high level players not so much if youre a club player looking to have something cool to practice with. Will give it another shot for a month to see if they resolve these issues.

So far seems good. Nice however can be more intuitive like when the screen goes gray to save battery but it’s still recording; it took awhile to realize it was still recording. A “still recording” would be nice. Needs to explain why only average speed and also it needs to show calculated highest speed in each stroke to compare to TV pros. Who would like that? Not to underestimate the unbelievable aspects of AI. This app is actually ground breaking. 4 stars so you make 5 in the next version. Thanks

Wow!!. This app is incredible and so much fun! Amazing how the app quickly breaks down your match into the 5 longest points and the points with the most running. Also you can watch all of your serves or forehands or backhands. Great for being able to see things you want to improve. Awesome to see where your shots are landing and the miles per hour that you’re hitting the ball. I can’t believe everything I’ve done so far has just been with the free version. Will definitely be upgrading to the yearly plan soon. It is a no-brainer to go ahead and give it a try.

You have to be your own coach. To improve in tennis I believe you have to become a student of the game, knowledgeable among other aspects of proper stroke production and movement and positioning. Then you need to observe yourself against an avatar and make the required changes to your game. SwingVision gives you the opportunity to accomplish this efficiently because, among other things, it allows you to video your match and play it back without all the non-playing footage.

Best app for tennis players. This is the best app for tennis players. Not only can you review shots by going to each rally quickly but you can slow down the play back speed and zoom in on the lines. It also shows you how you are hitting obviously, but with speed of shot, type and placement of shots. I have recommended this app to every playing partner and is a big fan of the free 2 hours per month feature. Just download it and give it a try!

Autodidacts Delight. For the autodidacts who are too busy to coordinate our schedules with the local pro, swing vision allows you to take your tennis education into your own hands. The auto edit feature really saves time and enables you to send your video to a remote pro for them to evaluate and give comments on what are you doing right and wrong. Totally asynchronous tennis education. Reviewing video of yourself allows you to correct your own mistakes and mark your progress. What a difference between your mind’s eye of what you think you’re doing and the video of what you actually are doing on the court. The highlight reels from matches makes it very easy to see your strengths and weaknesses. The scatter gram of where your shots go and the percentages in and out offer real metrics on what you need to work on. This is what modern tennis education should look like in 2022!

Easy to use. Amazing results.. Been using the app as a PRO subscriber for 3 years now and when I look at what the app did then versus now, is like a black & white tv to an 8K LED. As a stats nerd, I like playing with raw data. And the shot A.I. is amazing along with the auto editing tool that removes all the non-playing time between rallies and points. Question. Just got the email regarding the Swing Stick. I wanted to purchase it via the link in your email at the sweet $50 intro price however it just connected me to the previous generation phone stick. Also do you still offer the $500 lifetime subscription for us “early adapters”? Much appreciated.

The next best thing to a personal coach. Went back to playing tennis because of the pandemic and found out about this app. Clearly it was instrumental for me to not only get back to my old form but improve it, which I thought wasn’t possible without a coach. I use it paired with the phone camera and boy, oh boy, it does the trick. I know exactly where my shots go, what speed, if it’s a spin or flat or slice, etc. All the stats available after the match and tells you what you should work on to improve. It’s amazing.

Love it so far! Just a few things.... This app is fantastic and I’m very impressed with how well the AI processes the video. I only have two complaints: 1. There seems to be a problem with the Apple Watch-iPhone recording integration. I try to have the two sync up (so that I can more easily favorite certain rallies). But whenever I try to initialize the match on my watch, it tells me to go to the record section of the iPhone app, which I do, but then nothing happens after that. There isn’t an Apple Watch prompt. 2. I’m perfectly happy paying $60 a year for the semipro option. I think that’s completely fair given how well the app works. But it would be truly fantastic if you allowed 1080p/30fps or at least 720p/60fps recording at that price point. Going up to $120 per year for those increases in quality is rather pricey.

Dishonest and Scummy Operations at this Place. Shot placement and line calling are inaccurate and getting it to sync with Apple Watch causes way more hassle than it’s worth. Tried to contact support and they were unhelpful. I failed to convert to their paid plan, they sent me an emailing asking for feedback on why. In return for the feedback they promised an additional 60 day trail. After completing the feedback form, they only then mentioned that I would be required to sign up for an annual plan in order to get the free 60 days. I felt this was extremely scummy, dishonest and honestly disgusting. To bait their customers (those who didn’t convert I might add) with an offer of free trial, only to hide it behind an annual plan. Be advised, there was absolutely no mention of the annual plan before I submitted the feedback. I emailed them to complain about this behavior and they failed to reply. It’s been over 2 weeks with no response. I would avoid this app as its line calling and shot placement has inaccuracies as it is (why I didn’t convert). Not even mentioning the disgusting behavior on display by Swupnil Sahai and team.

Swing Vision: Elevate Your Tennis Game!. Swing Vision is a must-have app for tennis players looking to take their game to the next level. With its video analysis tool, intuitive interface, and personalized training plans, this app has transformed the way I play tennis. The ability to record and analyze my strokes, compare them with professional players, and access instructional videos has been invaluable. Swing Vision is a game-changer for tennis enthusiasts of all levels. Highly recommended!

Terrible business decision (30 day restriction). I love this app, and think it's fantastic. That being said, the most recent update (March 2023) that restricts all recordings older than 30 days to the pro version is absolutely terrible. The limitation of 2hrs per month is already incredibly restrictive, and means that you need to be strategic when choosing what to record if you're going to analyze your game. You can't really internalize a change to your game in less than 30 days so if you want to compare that's about the minimum you'd need to record yourself. Now that recordings are restricted on the free version, you have no way of comparing old footage, and only have 2 hrs to record. Makes the app completely worthless and impractical. Now users who have been using the free version are going to be extorted for $150/yr to see all historic recordings. Tennis is not a cheap sport, and this is further increasing the cost. TLDR; Phenomenal app, terrible business decision.

Fine App - when it works!. It is a fine app but has issues. It does not always confirm recording. It would be good to know the error message indicator on your watch when you start a match, not once done. When you see the error after completing a match it is too late because Screen Vision did not record properly. Don’t bother contacting their support as they will just send a vague response with no resolution. You will most likely figure it out yourself.

Great app very useful insights into my tennis. This is a great learning tool. I played Division I college tennis and find this app very helpful. The stats are super useful and the fact that the AI edits out the dead time in between points means you can watch you 2 hour match in 15-20 minutes. I would highly recommend this app. Whenever I play with my friends they are excited to watch the video of their match and see their stats.

Warning: Do not get locked in!. As a long time paying user with over 200 sessions, my advice to anyone considering getting started with this app or subscribing is export EVERY session after recording and *expect* that eventually your data will be locked and inaccessible. I no longer can access any of my old data (including statistics— not just video) and support’s response was “ We have recently implemented a lock on sessions that are older than 30 days for accounts that are not yet Pro Subscribers. Apologies for the inconvenience. To unlock older sessions, you must upgrade your account to Pro.”. This basically means that your data is held captive unless you spend $$$. Do yourself a favor and avoid the entrapment!!

Excellent way to visualize improvement. I love this app. As a strongly visual learner, I really benefit from being able to see what I’m doing and find ways to work with my coach for improvements. For example, the AI analysis of top spin, flat or slice on ground strokes has aided me to boost my desired top spin, especially on my two-handed backhand. Knowing the actual speed of my serves and ground strokes encourages my efforts to increase. I highly recommend this app for people at any level who want to improve. I simply set up my iphone on the fence at our public courts. I use the readily available rubber hands holder for cell phones to connect through the fence and set horizontal. A plastic shower curtain ring serves to adjust the vertical. I’m a recreational 3.5-4.

Fun app. Amazing customer service. I have been using the watch app for over a year and I love it. But recently it had a glitch and wasn’t working. I sent an email to support and they got back to be within a few hours and then then I got another email a few hours after that and they had found an old session that was still active in my account that was causing the glitch. Such amazing customer service!!!!!!

Great value and excellent customer service. When you opt for the annual subscription and have an Apple Watch, the mount rod becomes super affordable. The fact that they’ll store as much footage as they do for that fee is incredible. Recently I lost the knob that attaches the phone holder to the mounting rod. It was my mistake from poor handling. I inquired about ordering the part, and they just shipped it to me no charge. Kind of them to say the least!

Easiest way to record tennis matches. If you want to record your tennis matches (and you should), this is the best way to do it. Easy to use and lets you watch all the points of a full match in about half an hour. Get an over the fence mount. Apple Watch makes set up and score keeping easier, but not necessary for basic viewing. Great app!

Great app, but developers are getting greedy. I’ve had this app since its early days pre-Covid. In the early years it was limited but I liked how it tracked shot speed, topspin RPM, serve speed etc. Accuracy also improved over the years which was great. I could measure my progress year on year in terms of the stats I mentioned. What ticked me off in the latest update is the developers putting stats older than 30 days behind a paywall without any prior notice. You can’t see much improvement or change within 30 days and they know that. Since I’ve never used the video, only the numbers, I don’t see why those should be paywalled when they use much less data than videos. Now they want $150/yr to access those stats which is a shame. At least give us the opportunity to have those stats emailed to us for our records. Or grandfather in early adopters for just those non-video stats. They definitely still have them on their servers cos all I need to do to access them is pony up the cash. Since I don’t use the video function, it makes absolutely no sense. I am disappointed in the developers cos now with this latest update it seems to be all about the money…

Perfect timing. Swing Vision was introduced to me by one of my coaches at the perfect time. I was in the college recruiting process. It enabled me to easily send match play to the coaches. It also allowed my coach to review matches and my stats at tournaments that he was not able to attend. The stats have been priceless. At one tournament we were having trouble converting uploading. Their support was fast and very helpful.

Outstanding app for training new players. I have been using this app for about a month now, and I found it a great help in training and coaching my ten year-old grandson. By reviewing the videos after practice, we are able to see things that we might have missed during practice because we’re able to review each practice after it’s over. Both the coach and I particularly like the fact that it shows you from practice to practice what you have improved on, and the stats that it provides helps to show where the coach needs to spend more time on teaching fundamentals.

[fixed] Slow uploads ruin a great app. On gigabit fiber connection and matches usually take between 5-8 hours to upload. I’ve tried the troubleshooting. Turn off power save, force restart. Reinstall the app. It’s just slow. Not renewing sub unless it improves Update: developer fixed the slow upload. Thank you!! Now can you make it track point by point without any input from Apple Watch? Great app!

Highly recommend but wish you’d fix the glitch. I can not recommend this app more!! I love being able to keep track of service errors, score, and an abundance of other data from my watch. The only downfall is that is continues to pop up and run in the background constantly draining my battery...even after I’ve ended a match and closed out the app. I keep waiting on an upgrade to resolve this but it hasn’t happened! Please address!

The GOAT of tennis apps. If you love tennis and playing tennis, and want your own “advanced stats” and automatic highlights, this is it. This app literally feels like Brad Gilbert is watching my match play and recording the important parts and providing insight into things I can improve. I’m so impressed with this app, especially how much better it gets with seemingly every single update. So impressed. Keep up the great work!

Impressive Features. This is definitely a game changer whether you’re looking to nerd out over some statistical data or just posting on social. It takes away hours of self editing time and introduces features you don’t necessarily need but can appreciate. I’ve been using this app for some time now and sure the beginning stages were bumpy but it seems to be running real smooth. Additionally, I notice every update the app gets even better and smoother. I do wish it had slightly faster processing speed for longer sessions.

My favorite iPhone app the past two years. I used to record and edit my tennis matches manually, spending over an hour editing each match. Now SwingVison does the editing in real time, saving me dozens of hours a year! I enjoy seeing all the new features that keep coming. My friends and I have used the challenge feature to overturn many bad line calls.

Full Manual Badly Needed. I will be right up front, I am just getting started with app, but an actual manual would be very helpful. FAQ is pretty much a sales tool For instance, you have to allow app to access video, mic etc which makes sense, but should be part of app installation, not something you discover trying to use it in a practice. Sometimes it asks if you want to start recording from Apple Watch (yes), sometimes it just starts recording before you have even mounted on fence.. Why? It seems like a useful app, but setup, start/stop needs to be clear and bulletproof. Also, I would like a copy of raw match video saved in my photos. That appears not to happen, so can only access/share/ through their app. I assume that I have option of sharing my videos with the rest of SwingVision users or not. I do not want to have my match data out there in the cloud Hope I will get to where this is an easy useful tool

Holy smokes!!!. This app may be the only good thing to come out of 2020. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually written an app review, but this one deserves it. Incredible use of AI — and it doesn’t feel like a clunky “early” version of cool technology at all. It’s seamless, from making it really easy and obvious how to set it up (even including which equipment I can use), to scary accurate shot tracking and analysis, to a single tap for cloud recording so my device doesn’t fill up with video. I’ve already been able to improve my game because it’s so easy to see now how I play at a holistic level. Could not be more impressed. I hope everybody at the company sees this: Fantastic work you guys. Please keep it up! I will keep telling everyone I know who plays tennis about this app.

I wish I had this years ago. SwingVision is the killer tennis app that I always dreamt of when I was younger, but never imagined would exist in my lifetime - at least not without some magic or wizardry. But here it is, and it’s everything I could ever want (and more!) out of a tennis app. I’ve been using it for 3 months now and I can’t play tennis without it. I’ve quickly leveled up my game because of the automatically edited videos and from viewing the stats of my shot analysis. Watching the rally highlights from my matches gives me so much more joy and value from each session of tennis. Even my hitting partners are hooked on it now and always want me to setup SwingVision so they can see the highlights after our sessions. Before, I used to edit videos from my hitting sessions manually on my iPhone and it would take me hours. Now I can instantly get all the best rallies, the rallies over 5 shots, I can favorite individual rallies, and I can share them with friends or on social media. My only gripe - I wish there was a referral credit for each paying member I referred to SwingVision :) I think 5 or 6 of my friends have signed up for SV because of me!! Honestly I think it’s the most incredible app and use case ever created for the iPhone. Thank you SwingVision team!

So easy and SO COOL - So fun!!!. I have had nothing but positive experiences with SwingVision. It is insanely easy to use - I have a cheap tripod and I just point my phone at the court and SV figures it all out. I can’t believe it gets such accuracy from a single phone - shot type, spin, speed, landing location, it is so great. My favorite feature is that it auto deletes all the dead time between shots and then I can trivially easily filter for a particular shot. So after playing an hour, I can see all my slice backhands (or kick served, or whatever). I love to show all my friends when we play and it always wows them! It is fun!

It's great but... I like the app, but it still has a lot of mysterious bugs. And I mean mysterious because it does not tell you it's still uploading or you cannot share yet because... The file system is not there, so there is no way you can look at the raw video. Now I'm recording twice, doesn't make a lot of sense, one time on the iPad and above I have a phone recording the same. I have the pro version but not sure if I keep it. Kind of depends of their developments.

Amazing!. This App is incredible! I bought a speed gun to find out how fast I was serving, not only was it expensive, it wasn’t accurate and hard to use by one person. This App will tell you the speed of every ball you hit and those playing with you! It’s amazing, it will tell you if you hit flat, slice, kick, and topspin. You have to use it to believe it! All my friends are amazed when they see all their stats. This is the best App for those that love tennis.

A colossal mess since watchOS 5. Swing used to be my go-to tennis workout tracker, but it's impossible for me to recommend it anymore in light of the veritable litany of bugs that have rendered the app almost unusable on watchOS 5. When the app finally manages to start a workout, glitches pervade the in-session experience: sometimes the Settings screen will persistently appear and make it impossible to view in-practice stats (or even stop the practice), workouts often fail to get saved to Apple Health, pressing the “Stop” but won’t actually stop the session…the list goes on. The Swing watchOS app has always lacked a little bit of polish around the edges, which is fine, but this degree of usability-hindering behavior often leads me to just use Apple’s Workout app and spare myself the headache. Were these issues to be ironed out, this would once again be among the best apps for an Apple Watch-owning tennis player available on the App Store.

Not bad (updated review). After some initial glitches to get it to work on my watch, I’ve now used it a couple of times for some hitting sessions/clinics. It sometimes misreads shots - interpreting overheads as serves, but honestly that should be expected to some degree. It also misinterpreted some other shots (volleys as flat forehands, or sometimes calling a forehand a backhand) but I would say it gets it right about 85-90% of the time, which I think is a pretty good number for a watch based swing tracker. It’s cool to look over the data after you’re done and see what a hit by hit breakdown types of shots you hit, the MPH and RPM of those shots, and the other data available to you. It’s nice that it also tells you what you need to work on and what you did well post-session/match. I’m going to keep it and see if it continues to learn my game and get better. I think it’s worth a shot if you’re really into digging into the data behind your game and how to apply that data to improve.

Best tennis app I’ve ever used!. For so long I had been waiting for an app like this one! It’s hard to find players to hit with nearby where I live. This app has been perfect for helping me find other players in my area who are a similar skill level as me. The in-app messaging system makes it easy to schedule practices/matches. The app’s design layout is also very intuitive. The recommendations I get from Swing Pro help target areas of my game that need improving. Each week I look at my match stats and see where I need most improvement and make that my focus for the week. Within a year of using the app I’ve gone from a 3.0 to a 4.0! I recommend it to any tennis player or coach!

Great Coaching Tool. I have been using this app for the past 3 weeks having been introduced to it by a friend of mine. The app will provide you with the speed of your shot, where your shots land and the type of spin with which the ball was struck. It reveals a lot about one’s game and is a great learning and coaching tool. I had some questions so I wrote the developer and my questions were answers promptly and courteously. They taught me how to edit shots I thought the A.I. had misclassified and it was very easy to do so. I purchased the annual subscription and find myself taping every one of my tennis sessions to learn more about my game. An added bonus is that one can adjust the playing speed to where you can view at .1 speed. That is equivalent to super slo-mo and allows a person to pinpoint what they are doing right and what needs improvement. I highly recommend this app for any tennis player seeking feedback about their game. It truly is a great tool.

HUGE time saver for video review. Pros: -Takes your whole game and segments it automatically into individual rallies; this alone saves so much time especially when working with coaches or other coaching apps like My Pickleball Coach. -Shows you details like % shots in, average speed, etc. so you can chart your progress. Cons: -Pickleball is still in beta so it doesn’t always get it 100% right, but they’re working on it. -The Swing Stick is great but takes a fair amount of calibrating for your individual court(s). Fences are often closer to the court than the demo accounts for, so you should take some extra time at a new court before holding up a game! You don’t need the Swing Stick though, there’s also a tripod mode. -Pro version is a little pricey for where they are right now.

A must have for tennis players!. This app is SO cool to see how you’re swinging and progressing. I video track using my phone with a small tripod they recommend to hang on the gates. I also track on my Apple Watch. My only problem is I noticed that even after I’ve ended my practice on my Apple Watch and received my summary, if you keep swing vision app open, Apple Watch will still record as if you’re still exercising until you do an additional “end” and exit out. It should just stop after you get your summary or realize you’re not playing anymore and prompt an end. It would also be nice if you can view your rally highlights by speed.

What a great learning tool. Love the app. As a new player who didn’t start tennis till age 50, the app has helped me advance quickly. The ability to watch your self serve, shot placements/depth and footwork ( or lack of ) has been invaluable. I’ve gained so much confidence in my ability to hit the ball harder and deeper and my winning % proves it. I’ve paid $70 per hour for a few lessons with a pro, but the Swing Vision annual fee is pennies on the dollar for what it’s given in return. What a great learning tool and it’s only getting better.

Just get it. Seriously just get it. These guys were noticed in Apple Keynote for a reason. The app is awesome and the customer service is great. (The founder is very active on forums and emails) If you are hesitant (which I usually am after being burned by other apps that don’t live to the hype), this one is actually the real deal and worth paying the $6/month and even the $13/month for better resolution and the convenience of more cloud storage. Compared that to buying a: -Smart Radar gun $400 ( and it won’t track placement on court, won’t tell you your swing-type, nor automatically produce highlights/stats for you) -Coaching $25-$50/hr (depending how well you learn independently, but there are a lot of resources here from pros and online) -Included Cloud Storage equivalent of >200gb -Tennis Community where you can see games from across the world All for skipping one Starbucks coffee a month. Just try it, and if you have a group of friends/family, even better as you can make individual profiles for them and you can all pitch in. If you have 3 friends/family + yourself, $13/4 people a month. Now you are only just paying ~$3/person. Really a lot of value, and if you are serious about tennis highly recommend!

Succumbing to a Business Model. I’ll start by saying this is a great idea and the app works well. I got the app last summer and have enjoyed using it to analyze my game. It was a little pricey but I got it under the impression they were going to continue updating it and I would benefit from the improvements. But it’s looks like they’re just appealing to investors. Instead of creating one good app for people to enjoy at a fair price, now they have two over priced tiers of subscription. Essentially, my yearly subscription is being neglected and all improvements are being added to a new “Max” tier subscription that is way over priced. Choosing to build a business model to attract investors rather than make a good app for tennis players is going to be the downfall of this app once a competitor comes into play. I definitely won’t be renewing…

The App I’ve Been Waiting For. For 20 years, I’ve been wanting an app that could provide objective data on my tennis skills. Swing Tennis has helped me improve my game considerably. I’ve recommended it to all my tennis buddies and consistently challenge each other through the app. The social component of the app takes it to the next level. Great community of people cheering each other on through their matches. Thanks team for developing such an incredible app! Keep working on the bugs!

Great. Great app that gives you all information you need to get better. If you are serious about your tennis this will help you no doubt. Cheers Mick

Innovative Tennis App!. SwingVision is an innovative app that has completely transformed my tennis game. The user interface is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through its features and helpful guides to assist. One of its features that I love most is the real-time video analysis, which provides instant feedback on my strokes, footwork, serving and overall game strategy. This has been a game changer for me, allowing me to identify and correct my flaws in my technique much more efficiently than ever before. Kudos to the developers of SwingVision who are continuously improving the A.I and the Directors who are very passionate in bringing this opportunity to tennis players (professional and social players alike).

Great assistant coach. This app is amazing, loving playing with my son and then being able to see it all back and learn from it. Great with the challenges as well when playing matches!

Great app, but takes ages to upload the video. I would give 5 stars and prob pay for subscription as it is an amazing app. BUT, and a big but; it has so far taken almost a week for a video of a friend and mine’s game, still at 99% to download from the cloud. Question: is it faster if you pay for the subscription and/ or is it because im downloading a friend’s video, i didn’t record this one??

Doesn’t work for me. I’m a keen tennis player, so I was really excited about the idea of this app. But set up is difficult, I haven’t been able to view or process a video of one set. It says it’s processing but nothing happens. Sharing with friends doesn’t seem to work either. Very disappointed

Version 10.2.1 is a downgrade. The current version is a downgrade. The app crashes frequently. Export fails. The point timings when you watch and when you export are not same. Export cuts the last shots in some points and has extra time is some points. Always recording in 1x zoom is not achievable in all courts. In certain courts 0.8x is required for coverage. Needs more of its doubles. This version is not worth the money.

Really good app. It saves a lot of time editing gameplay footage, and the tracking is pretty solid.

Not as great as I thought it would be.. People rave about this app but I’m afraid I’m going to only give it 2 stars. I doubt its accuracy at times, it’s expensive, I can’t log in on any browser, can’t reset my password. Keep clicking ‘send reset link’ in Chrome and it does nothing. No response. It needs to work across all platforms and browsers before it can get a better review from me. It’s also very expensive. Not a fan and won’t be renewing.

Essential tool for players. Fantastic app to capture your games and sessions. The software automatically edits the footage offering highlights from the session. Highly recommended.

Can’t process video. Every time I try to process a video it get roughly 10% through them comes up with a notification saying the process failed due to memory issues, without fail, no matter how long the video I'm trying to process is. Is this a bug or due to my older model of phone? Why have the app available for older phones if they can’t run it? I was excited to use the app and everyone seems to love it but I’m right on the edge of giving up on it because it’s essentially just a recording app. Very frustrated because there is no mention of this error in any troubleshooting so and closing all other apps and restarting the process as suggested does nothing.

Best App on my phone! Hands down. Tennis Vision does so much it’s hard to describe! I’m simply blown away by how awesome it is. All you do is record your match with your phone - SV does the rest. It edits out all the stuff you don’t want to watch, then uses AI to categorize all you’re shots. Just want to watch your slice backhands? No problem! It also shows you TV broadcast grade shot analysis maps of shot placement and racket contact. This list goes on. Basically if you play tennis and don’t have this app, you are seriously missing out. I would pay so much more for the features that it offers.

Recommended highly. Wow - what an app! Hawk eye on my iPhone

stopped working. this app stopped working. it just doesn’t open. can you please do something about it because i loved using the app

Only a video app. This is one of the worst quality products - app and stick I've ever used. I even bought the apple watch and stick to get the best experience but it takes a good 10 minutes to set up the phone, the match, add players, connect with the watch, start the match. The UI is not intuitive and app keeps on crashing and disconnecting. Don't even bother using the challenges for line calls as it doesn't work. The only thing you can do is to hope for the video to be captured and then use the painful UI to make a shorter video to share with friends. Poor quality and expensive. This app is making claims about AI and other features that don't work.

GREAT APP MUST GET. This app is truly amazing! It helps me so much whenever I play matches or train. The app is absolutely awesome! Improvement - You should add a feature where it reminds you to stop a practice session. Whenever I practice I turn it on and most times I forget to turn it off. Because of this my distance is wrong and my other statistics. You should add a finished reminder like the workout app does on the Apple Watch. Other than this AWESOME AND AMAZING !!!!!

Awesome insights. Swing Vision is a great app which allows me to record my matches and see my stats

Impressive product and service. As a big tennis fan, I have been using the app for over two years and a pro member for almost a year. In short the app is amazing. It takes a bit effort to get used to the match tracking with the watch. But the data collected are practical and inspiring. Recently I had a data issue and contact the team via the build in service. I got the response in 24hrs with the problem fixed.

Lots of Features Don’t Work. Last tennis season this app worked great, but now the watch app no longer tracks your heart rate, kcals etc. It also just registered my exercise minutes in Apple Health, but didn’t put it in as a tennis workout.

Robby Menard. Great app for real coaches also !!!

No more support for Apple Watch 3. Used to work fine on 3-series, now the support is removed. Why?

Awesome. Perfect app for Tennis

Comprehensive Tennis App. From the game scoring to the shot tracking, the app does everything. It’s really great when you have the watch as well. The user experience has improved significantly in the past 6 months.

Love the App but not the most recent change. This app is hands down one of the best apps for tracking tennis strokes and matches. I have been using it since it’s inception and the changes and support is unmatched…..until the last change:( when they got rid of the leaderboard to only include video matches was disheartening. I enjoyed see how I matched up against everyone and now this is only possible if your record the match.

Amazing App. Amazing app for recording and playing back game footage to share with friends. Even the score tracker for my Apple Watch is a great use for this app. There’s also a feature for replaying line calls to my Apple Watch in real time and that has been really great too. No complaints. Just great job developers!

Nicely done. I like the score tracking, very complete but when in play, I can’t seem to remember how to use the many gestures adequately. A bit confusing. There should be a service practice mode, it never seem to correctly track the service, logs wrongly as a forehand or backhand most of the time, so are spin and speed correct? Did crash my watch S4 2 times during a single match though, but continued record at right scores after restart. Overall nicely done.

Really cool. I think its great even if you dont pay it a great app

Nice tennis app but need improvment. I use with an Iphone 13 and Iwatch SE. Nice quality video. Features are goods. It’s pratical to see some parts of video by the filters. You see only what you want. Cons : It's take some time to place correctly the iphone on the fence and recognize the field. Not sure of the speed of the ball and worse don’t think that the challenge call is 100 %, even 80 %. Use it for the fun and not for tournment.

Great app, but there are some bugs on Apple Watch. I was very impressed with the accuracy and how many things this app can track. However, I noticed that on the Apple Watch, whenever I go to the home screen, the workout pauses. When I hit continue, the workout stops tracking the shots, and I have to reset it.

Analytics + Social = #1 Tennis App. I love being able to track all of my match stats with a simple swipe on my watch. Having my stroke analyzed is just magical... and then add on top the ability to find other players like me. This app is revolutionary and has made me play tennis more often than before. 5 stars all the way 👍👍👍

Game changing. I’ve been playing tennis for 10 years and have always been reluctant to use tennis apps but this one is phenomenal. It’s simple to setup, accurate, and has a ton of tools for you to analyze your tennis. I can’t recommend this app enough.

Great app!. App has gotten consistently better with each release. Still has some issues with serve versus swing detection but otherwise not bad. Occasionally glitchy on uploading to the cloud (closing app / restarting always fixes it). Definitely would recommend and looking forward to further improvement on the app.

Simple yet Powerful. SwingVision takes tennis to another level. I am able to analyze practice drills, and matches completely and almost instantly. Thank you for the continuous improvement on the app.

Why Microphone Access?. Hey folks, love the app and will update my rating once this is resolved/answered. This is nitpicky but why does the app need microphone access to record properly? I removed mic access in an effort to just make my phone and privacy more secure (along with many other apps), and the app failed to record my whole session. Can this be fixed since all it really needs is camera access (which was enabled in my case)?

Swing Tennis App Is the Future of Sports. This app has some magic AI computer vision stuff. I don’t understand any of it. If you own an Apple Watch the interface is perfect for match tracking. Oh also this app also comes with really cute stickers. You should check out this app just for those.

Awesome even without a watch!. I know a lot of people get the app for Apple Watch, but I mainly use the social features. The ability to find and filter other people nearby has been amazing, especially as someone who travels a lot. I’ve hit with 3 strangers in 3 different countries thanks to Swing! Very underrated feature of the app :)

GAMECHANGER. This app has totally changed my tennis experience. I remember always wondering what my second serve win percentage was. Or how often I hold from 0-15. So many useful stats about my game just with the power of Apple Watch. Really excited for the future of this app :)

Won’t let me process the video. It was an awesome app, for my first video, it worked great but for my second video I’d process it and when it finished I went to go see the shots and it said I need to process it still, I did it again because why not and after it said I needed to process it, I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it won’t even let me do one video without that happening, I don’t know if I’d only happening to me but if it is it is overall a great app

Good App but Crashes all time. So Frustrating. I tried so hard liking and using this app. It is a decent app except it crashes all time. It crashes twice in a game that I was playing yesterday (I start app again in middle of game). It again crashes 3 times today in middle of my game. All my efforts in saving data and game were wares and it was so frustrating. I was so frustrated that it made me lose the first set The plus of saving game if ever does not in any way justify the anguish and frustration of crashes. I will no longer use your app and I want refund back for my early subscription for Premium status. Thanks and sorry

Good idea, the desktop UI is really bad.. Great idea. I cannot wait until this gets approved by USTA for use in leagues and tournament. The desktop UI that use to edit the videos is really bad. It is not standard, clunky.. the workflow is just poorly implemented, from choosing the rallies to include to the export functio. I trust it will improved over time.

Download. I’m trying to download a video to edit certain clips but the app allows to share the entire video only. I’m not sure if the system allows to download

Good for score tracking. I use this to track scores during matches. When I use the app on my phone it constantly crashes. I can look at swing analysts, match info for about 30 seconds and it fails. Over and over. Frustrating in that respect.

It has come a long way. I’ve been using this for over a year and it keeps improving. It is a must for improving your tennis game and the ability to challenge a line call keeps you focused on playing tennis and not bad calls.

Truly Revolutionary Coaching Assistant. Installed Swing Vision over a year ago-Fantastic experience! Not only the ap but the entire SV team’s support is outstanding! As a wannabe tennis player & coach —-continuous improvement of myself and others is part of my thinking. SV gives me the tools to do this. Amazingly simple, super stats and proven ability to provide analytics to improve my game and others! Most Pros can’t compete unless they’re using this, because they don’t get the DATA!

Good for free app. I’ve been using it for some time. I don’t have the latest watch (I have gen 0) and tracking a match on it is too slow. My partner says I’m always looking at the watch the entire match. And then there’s the problem where half my practices don’t sync up to the phone so I can look at the analysis. Otherwise, it’s a good start. I’m using all the latest versions.

Must have app!. This is now my go to app to track my stats for matches and practice sessions! I had a bit of user end issues, but I received quick responses from the developers and they were able to help with everything I threw at them! I love that we can see our local tennis courts and other Swing users to hit around with. I will definitely be using this app every time I’m on the court!

Great learning tool!. This is a great app to learn more about which areas you can improve your game and also compare yourself to other players in a more quantifiable way. It’s always fun too see what kind of shots you’re hitting and whether you’re consistently hitting in the area and way that you’d like to be. Not to mention reviewing the best highlights later!

Game Changer!. To call something a game changer seems cliche. Not in this case. Seeing how I move on the court, studying my opponents, understanding my doubles partners, has changed my game. I am more strategic. More of a risk taker. And I also take the time to celebrate what I love about the game. This app is something I use regularly and share it with all the other tennis addicts in my life.

Sound delay problem. I am really enjoying this app but one problem. There is delay in sound when I encoded video was sent to my pc. When I try to watch through galaxy or window pc, the sound pushed back plz figure this out. At first, the sound is okay but after that, pushes back.

A Must-have for tennis player. This app is a must-have for every passionate tennis players who strives for improvement of their technique constantly. Video analysis is key to the process and this app excels in doing that. I abandoned the old workflow of capturing, uploading, editing/playback videos via different apps and opt-in for Swingvision’s convenience, smoothness and all-in-one offering.

Watch an Hour Long Set in 5 min. It edits out everything but the point. I used Slow mo feature to check close calls. Double tap Replay point feature is helpful. Analytics very helpful. Serve speed is not reliable. Shot type (spin, slice or flat) is not reliable.

Mixed feelings. I love the app at first glance. Over time , the app needs so much help. I borrowed an iPhone 7 just to use this app and it’s only 32gb in space. Even when I delete the saved videos I still have over taken. Now I have one video that I’d like to process and I can’t because I need more disc space. After telling all my friends about it, they wanna see today’s match and it looks like I’ll have to delete it There’s no support on the website . There’s no way to watch your matches that’s saved to the cloud. I look up my name on everyone else saved matches and I can never find myself . This app has potential that’s why I’ll give it 4 stars

Love it!. I’m a casual tennis player and I use an Apple Watch to track the score and how fast my hits are. It is very fun to see my stats at the end of a session. I recommend this app to all tennis lovers! I haven’t been able to record a match on my phone yet but the person who recommended it to me uses it a lot so I will have to try that the next time I play.

Helps improve your game. One of a kind, revolutionary app. A tool recreational players like myself never imagined could have at our disposal. Been using the app for a couple months now and now I know the areas of improvement in my game. Knowing is everything!

mixed bag. SV is useful but is highly inconsistent on shot tracking. i have to spend a lot of time going back and correcting my shots. e.g. rarely hit a serve above 80mph and yet SV gets the timings so wrong that it calls my serves at 120mph. another complaint is how poorly the app detects/ define the boundaries of the court on initial set up. this is step 1 and it’s never right. for a tennis-specific app, their “AI” model seems poorly trained to recognize the court and its boundaries. this is the craziest thing to me.

Very helpful and cool looking!. I love all the insight I get from reviewing my matches! The camera tracking is accurate and smooth, the details the informative, and the interface is pretty easy to understand

Good App. I have used the free version twice now. Both for singles rally. Things I really enjoy: it removes deadtime between rallies. Ability to filter rallies and shots so I can analyze aspects of my performance. Downsides: the app can take hours to process an hour hitting session. This might be more a function of my internet speed. In the second session the app recorded some of my forehands as backhands. All minor stuff in comparison to what you get.

Needs a pause button. Overall Swing is an amazing app. One feature I particularly adore is the ability for the app to analyze how you hit a ball (swing type, spin direction, speed, etc) and give you a nice interface to read off of after each hit. One suggestion though, and this will make me switch from the regular workout app: add a pause button. I don’t need the app tracking me and giving me false workout credit when I take breaks. Otherwise though, it’s an amazing app and I’d recommend it.

Best Tennis Tracker. Super groundbreaking app and very easy to use! First serve speed? Check. Break point conversion? Check. Smart recommendations after each match? Double check. This app has it all and more! Very user friendly and just tracks so much data that I never thought I’d be able to track as an amateur athletes. Makes me feel like the pros ;)

Crashes when exporting video. Started to using this app more seriously and tried pro subscription. However recently the app always crashes when exporting video. Only fix I had is to download the video, re-upload the video, reprocess then export. I use a ball machine and typically record multiple sessions per day, it becomes too tedious to do this for each recorded session. Please fix this bug. Thanks!

Update is absolute garbage. There’s nothing better than recording your matches and then going to watch them/have them analyzed, only to have the app crash at every possible moment. When you click to analyze the match, click to watch the video, click to export data, click to share the match, or hell? click literally anything the app crashes. This app is great, but this new update is horrendously glitchy and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Nothing but frustration. I never put usually put negative reviews but my frustration level has peaked. We don’t have a smart phone but I use a fence go pro camera. I imported my video into the app, it had cool overlays and I was excited to export it for my sons coach to review. But upon export it hung for over 24 hours, never exporting the video. If it’s me I’ll gladly retract, but I am usually adapt at figuring out basic things like this. Costly app not to get the data I need.

Simply Incredible. I never write reviews, but this app is my favorite that I’ve used in a very long time. Tennis is a sport hat benefits tremendously from self-recording, and this app cuts out so much time from editing and reviewing- truly plug and play with immediate benefits. Can’t wait to see how it grows from here.

So complicated - video disappeared. I’m a pretty regular player and started using the free version of the Swing Vision app. I wanted to record myself so I can improve my serve and other strokes - I went and bought a tripod so I could do that I started a recording after going through 3 warnings and 4 steps only to not find the video anywhere What a waste of time and effort! The app is so complicated - I spent 5 minutes trying to find the video in the app and my own camera roll. Instead I got leaderboards and other stuff that I had no interest in

Great app!. Had this over a year now. Keeps getting better with upgrades and additional features. Had a few tech issue when I first used the app and sent emails for help. They were quick to respond and were genuinely interested in fixing my problems. Love this app.

Great App!. Awesome App. I’ve got it to simply keep track of game scores during the game - but it’s an awesome tool to everything related to the game - from physical tracking to find other players next to you. It logs every strike you do with your racquet (still evaluating how accurate it is regarding swing/movement quality) and it is very friendly to use! Thumbs up!

Highly recommended. This app is great! It offers terrific, useful playback and analysis that is easy to use. They also give plenty of free recording time per month, which is great. One feature that I think would be cool to add is a wall play feature for recording solo shots. Similar to a ball machine, but just hitting against a wall. Nice app overall!

Blown Away by the Tech. Everything is amazing, highly recommend this app. However, it says that the App gives you personalized recommendations on how to improve after a recording, which it hasn’t been true for me (using it with the ball machine) but that feature would be super helpful.

Endorsed by James Blake. As a USPTA coach, I really love using this app with my students now. I’m able to analyze their match performance remotely which makes my coaching experience more engaging and data-driven. A truly revolutionary product for individuals and coaches — no wonder James Blake came on board! Keep it up guys :)

The app was a 5 star. The app was to me a 5 star and now it’s a 4 star. Before these these new updates you had a training mode that kept tracking of your heart max and average during training which was really helpfull. Now they change the name to rally and you don’t have any heart information except for an average.

App doesn’t work right. I’ve had this app for a minute. I can’t send links, once the link get in the text message, the text freezes. I try to process once match is over, and it says begin processing, after I already processed it! Like several times. I paid for the subscription, and am very disappointed. Did I mention the telescopic rod they sent me snapped, yeah…. It snapped. I’m about to snap, super disappointed that such a cool app malfunctions so frequently!

Great app. I used this app a bunch of times and it is great. Not only when playing a match or ball machine. When I was trying different rackets it was very helpful to figure out, giving me the speed of each stroke. So I could compare what I felt with actual data.

A lot of reliability problems. Used to be reliable, lately there has been a ton of problems: 1) recording stop by itself for no reason after I set it up, which means I lost all recordings 2) editing problems, a large parts of edited rallies cannot be watched. The app just automatically skips them and there is no way to watch them.

Not very accurate. The app doesn’t track ball placement very well even in optimal camera setups. But since useful info like shot speed and who won a point in auto-scoring are predicated off where the ball lands, it makes the app 60% less useful. I have to manually edit most shots if I want to get “accurate” speeds for shots and serves. This app could be really good if only it were more accurate.

Easy. That’s the best way to describe SwingVision. It’s so easy to use. Push the button and start filming. SwingVision does the rest. Amazing data, lovely graphics, and so easy. This app represents a new level of capability in video analysis from a cell phone for any sport. This is real innovation. SwingVision is an Excellent tennis coaching tool.

Amazing app but…. I really like the app and everything but for some reason it does not let me change my height and I press save and it will stay my correct height for i little and than it will change back to the height 4 foot 9. At first I thought it was syncing with the health app but then I checked the health app and it had the correct height on it so please fix it.

Awesome Tennis Companion. This app brings my tennis game to a new level. As someone that loves to collect and analyze data on almost everything I do, I absolutely love this app. Being able to see a breakdown of my match or practice by the speed, spin, and type of stokes I made is AWESOME and gives me an insight into my match that score alone cannot reflect. Highly recommend!

The future of tennis. I enjoyed the free version and knew right away that what they had is something special. I quickly upgraded for the pro version and it was an easy decision. Support the app, get the added benefits which are so cool, and upload your matches to the cloud to save storage on the phone. Loving it so far.
