An Apple Watch Version Would Be Extremely Useful. This app saves quite a bit of time and is a God send. The software is some what glitchy when you get interrupted and have to stop and start dictation. In that case it often places text in a different location than the cursor location. This can get frustrating. Overall a very solid app. If the errors from stopping and and starting were resolved and they created an Apple Watch app that worked well I’d give it 5 stars.

Can’t add profile. When I click add profile and a place to add profile URL a keyboard never pops up to type it in. Won’t give any other option to add profile. Essentially, it’s useless and now I can’t use my Dragon profile.

Samsung Note 9 not supported. Just FYI. I have multiple providers getting new phone and PMM isn’t working now for them. Will OS12 be supported when releasing this Wednesday ?

Update broke the app. Update caused PowerMic mobile to stop connecting to Dragon on Epic.

Bad update !!!. Worked great before but now will not pair with computer since recent update rendering this app useless!!

This app does not work with 2022 version of DMO. Worked fine until my institution upgraded to newest version of DMO. Now power mic does not work properly and this nuance power mic mobile does not work properly.

New update wiped user data. Whatever y’all did with the update, it wiped existing user data.

Excellent alternative to USB mics for DMO. The mic app does everything it's supposed to do--to emulate the handheld USB PowerMic II/III microphones for use (only, note well) in Dragon Medical One. Very easy to use, once you get past the required configuration URL link to tie it to your organization's DMO account.

Excellent app - much better than an actual mic. I love this app. Makes me so much more productive in my medical practice. Now with iOS 14 - PLEASE MAKE A WIDGET I CAN PUT ON MY HOME SCREEN TO ACTIVATE THE MIC!!!

Push to talk. I wish there was an option of a push to talk button like on the physical PowerMic II or III so you could hold down the button to talk and when you let go it stops recording. Also wish there was an iPad version so when using the iPad to interface with the EHR, you would not need to use a separate iPhone.

my device isn't "Jailbroken". Thanks Nuance. I'll stick with 5.0.6 on my M2 MacBook. With it, I can dictate directly on my Macbook without using the crappy iPhone app and tying up the use of my phone. Why are you so anti-consumer?

Use to Work Now does not. I used this for at least a year with very few issues and very little trouble shooting. The latest update that changed the entire look (which looks better) has caused it to be very glitchy. It now disconnects on its own frequently while using it right in the middle of a recording. Much more unstable. Now when you move the curser from one part of a note to another, or if you pause for a few seconds in your dictating, you have to hit stop recording and then start recording or it will not record, regardless of whether the button is still green (indicating it is still recording) or not.

Please roll back to 5.0.6 :(. I was able to use 5.0.6 on my M1 Macbook allowing me to dictate directly to my computer without needing my iPhone. Now 5.0.8 sees my M1 macbook as a jailbroken device! please fix this

Garbage. For what you pay, this software is junk. Its always some excuse why it does not work as intended. If you are a Physician, and need to get your charts done: good luck. Do not use this garbage software.

Best dictation app, please make an iPad or watch app!. This app works very well for dictation into Cerner and Meditech EMRs. Dragon dictation software has always been the best widely available software for dictation and is much better than any other dictation software I’ve ever used. With more providers working on iPads, the option to use the PowerMic software directly on the iPad offers greater flexibility, as your microphone won’t get disconnected when other apps are accessed on phone (lots of calls, pages, other notifications on phone, especially in a hospital setting). With and iPad app or a phone app with landscape mode support, the PowerMic app could be made small on an iPad, so that it doesn’t take up much of the screen (this may improve even further for M1 iPad users/recent iPad Pro users with iPadOS 16’s Stage Manager). Essentially, this tool is so useful, I want it on my screen all the time, not off my screen every time I get a text message or other notification on my phone. Alternatively, I would expect plenty of desire from providers for an Apple Watch app, as this would also be incredibly convenient. I personally don’t own an Apple Watch, so I would prefer the iPad app, but I expect an Apple Watch app would be immensely popular (mostly through the use of AirPods/other Bluetooth headphones). I also saw a video online about this app being demonstrated on a Samsung watch several years ago. Unfortunately, this never seemed to come to fruition. As a Samsung Gear S3 owner, I would love to have the option to dictate via the watch.

Give us watch connection. I use this app every day to document my encounters. But please, this would be a five star app if I could use my watch to turn on and off dictation. That way I don’t have to open up my phone, open up the app, press the start record button. One click from the Apple watch would be nice

Inefficient. The app disconnects very frequently. My iPhone is tied to the Epic EMR and obviously I cannot change the settings on the phone to prevent it from locking after a few minutes (this is security related hospital driven setting) and as soon as the iPhone locks the power mic also disconnects. To go back in you again need to open the app tab and then again login and then again click the microphone on to dictate. Extremely annoying. Also if you switch between the power mic app and some other app, you have to redo the whole connection again. Makes the whole process of dictating very inefficient. Should have an always on top function which does not disconnect and with a simple voice command like “turn power mic on” or “off” to start and stop dictating. I was initially very enthusiastic about using it but it’s just clunky the way it is.

Needs improved support. sees my new M2 Macbook Pro as a "jailbroken device" and won't let me open app. Please fix

DOES WORK. This is intended to be used as a microphone with another product called Dragon Medical One. If you don't have that product, you can't log in. If you do have that product, this works great to let you dictate accurately from anywhere. I think the other reviewers think it works on its own.

Cursor moves. Somebody already mentioned that the cursor moves around during notetaking even though mouse is not attached. It can start dictating in the middle of a different word. I’m not sure if it is completely app related because I’m using microphone as well, and it does the same thing. Plus... make this app for Apple Watch!

WatchOS app. I would like to see a watchOS app to allow dictation using Apple Watch without holding your phone.

Enhancements. Looking forward to support for the Apple Watch!! Please let me know when it arrives.

Great, but need Apple Watch Support. Works pretty well, and actually better than the actual Nuance Mics. However, most clinicians have smart watches, usually in the form of an Apple Watch. Using your Apple Watch instead of your cell phone would be a massive improvement! Add Apple Watch support and this app will clearly be 5 stars!

Please Add and Apple Watch App. The iPhone app technically gets the job done, however the latency and connection is extremely inefficient. I definitely think an Apple Watch version would be extremely helpful so I don’t have to pull up my iPhone every time for a quick dictation.

Glitches. The recent update has glitches and will not search for computers and takes for ever to detect a PC with Dragon Medical One.

Poor app. Poor app poor connection. When it works is very helpful but unreliable and freezes frequently. Continue to have issues. Not recommended.

Has potential but disappointing.. When the app works, the accuracy is wonderful. However, the apple freezes or disengages or have words transpose text. Updates need to be more frequent. Needs to be more seamless in its performance.

Suggested addition. Version for apple watch would be helpful.

Great. I have been using this app for several days now. It's great. It integrates well with Cerner, and provides almost real time dictation with high accuracy.

The mobile app will not pair. Since the update, I’ve had nothing but problems attempting to pair this mobile app with my computer! This causes a lot of delays in my day and frustration.

"Jailbroken". Nuance charges a LOT of $$$ to offer their services, and does a terrible job actually supporting their apps. Using on an M1 Mac with most up-to-date MacOS and security updates. It has the audacity to mark it as "jailbroken." Previous reviews with the EXACT same issue from over 6 months ago indicate Nuance does not care about their product or customers. They only collect $$$ and move on. Use a different product/company.

Flat out doesn’t work. Once you start this app it asks you to add a profile. The next page has two boxes: Profile URL and Profile name. You can’t enter a URL. The keyboard won’t come up. So IT had to text me the URL and it says “Invalid profile”. So I went to Help and the screenshots it shows aren’t even *close* to what is on the app. Also went on their website and the screenshots are clearly of a different version. So pros: none Cons: doesn’t work at all, and the help is not for this version.

Shortfalls. Apple Watch support would be awesome. Also considering acquiring notable. It has a great concept.

Keyboard does not come up. Version has a bug and does not allow for keyboard to come up. Can’t enter information. Additionally can’t send in-app feedback as no email is provided when hitting feedback button.

APP DOES NOT WORK AFTER UPDATE!. Please revert back to previous software. Need to complete patient notes.

Not working from many months. Kindly address the issue with my MacBook M1. It is currently displaying indications that jailbroken.

Can we have “Say Siri turn in Power Mic”?. Currently Siri can only open the app. Is there anyway to have Nuance power Mic work with Apple to allow Siri to open and turn on power mic with just one command. It would be great to be able to dictate right away

Quit moving the cursor around!. This app is constantly moving the cursor around when I take my notes on epic. I could be in the middle of speaking a sentence and for whatever reason it will go back in place the rest of my sentence in the first half of what I’m already dictating. I can’t tell you how often this announce my notes and makes me take at least twice as long to write them. Sometimes I type by hand because it just goes faster. Please fix this, it didn’t used to be a problem as of three months ago.

Useless app. Piece of crap

Nightmare when replacing telephone. It seems pretty bush-league that I can get a new telephone and transfer the data from my old phone and tell it to call my mom and it will do it. Tell it to log onto Facebook, works like a charm. Tell it to link my PowerMic Mobile app to the same computer I’ve been using for years? Oh no. You have to call the helpdesk. You have to reinstall. You have to spend 30 minutes dealing with this. Every provider that gets a new device has to do that. Why?

JailBroken. What is a good aternative? This is trash.

Suggested changes. I use both Power Mic III and mobile version because I work in many different locations. Things which could be improved in mobile version: Left and right arrow buttons are too close to bottom of screen in iPhone X version and white slide bar is over them. Too frequently when trying to toggle between fields, I accidentally slide the white bar which disconnects me and then I have to reconnect in order to continue dictating. There is lots of empty white space around the dictate button: could the arrows be moved up and away from the white bar or made larger? Disconnects too easily and too frequently in the middle of dictating. Why? I use toggle to go to the next field and start dictating and it goes instead to text box. Why?

Feature request. How about a link in control center?

Better than the mic. Many folks in the department were having a lot of trouble with the hardwired mic because we all have to constantly switch computers. Using the app on my phone makes it WAY easier. It also means one less thing I have to carry around. If Apple Watch support was available it would be perfect. Also doesn’t significantly drain my battery with regular use over the course of my typical work day.

Bring back old version!. The last upgrade destroyed the voice recognition. Partially workable with the mobile app but only with iOS and a late model iPhone. No longer usable with the old “ dumb” phone I was using for dictation only, or with my desktop microphone. Was working fine for most part across all platforms. Please bring back the old version!

Apple Watch standalone version?. The app has been helpful although I’m still working on optimizing it. It really needs to run on an Apple Watch without the iPhone nearby. It would be great to get rid of the phone entirely while rounding.
