Phenomenal and Easy to Use. I’ve never written a review on an app in my life. I just felt compelled. This has been SO useful for myself and my trainer when meal planning. I have dietary restrictions and so I go and create my ideal meal plan (the barcode scanning ability for products is unparalleled— makes life so easy!!) and then she checks over the percentages and macros and makes suggestions for adjustments. Then I can go through and say “hey, what happens if I switch out the 1/4 avocado in my smoothie for 1/3 of a banana?” Or “If I added a protein to my snack would that help me reach my percentage goal? If so, how does that affect my carb intake?” I mean... if I don’t see results with this app then there’s no hope for me. Bravo, developers! My athlete brother recommended this to me when he was on a mission to gain weight. We both love it!!

Game changer!. First and foremost, this is the first time in eight years I have ever felt strongly enough about a product to write a review. Second, this is the first time in my life that I've actually measured and weighed food. This program/app makes everything so simple and easy. The functionality and customization options are endless. I love the shopping lists, and pantry options. It has a recipe clipper for ease of addition of recipes from websites. Some people might appreciate the easy few clicks it takes to order groceries for delivery. All that being said, I'm down fourteen pounds in a month and a half, and I was not large to begin with. I'm the lowest weight of my adult- and my teen- life. Some of the food options and combinations are a little odd at times, but you can refresh, or add recipes, or 'dislike' foods or recipes. I recommend this to anyone who will listen. And yes, go for it and buy premium! Worth every penny and more.

Great Concept But A Little Buggy. I love the ability to add foods for certain meals and have the app generate a meal plan within a calorie range. The problem is I have entered like 20 options but I keep getting suggested the same couple of choices every time. And it does weird things like suggests 1 and a half portions of an item or just half a portion of an item at times for a meal. So if I could get it to just suggest full portions and actually randomly select my meal choices until every meal had been tried once, it would be all stars for me and worth upgrading to the full-feature version. Right now I can’t see paying for something if I can’t depend on it to work like it is supposed to.

Amazing App. I have had the app awhile but was overwhelmed with life at the time. I reached out to support a couple times and they are amazingly empathetic and supportive people. Now to the app, I just started and the recipes are bomb, the grocery lists make shopping easy. I can't wait to track more because that is super easy too. Now I just need to be able to connect this to health and I'm good. This is not just for "dieting" but can be used that way, it is for healthy living. Hey support or developers if you see this YOU ARE AWESOME and I'll be reaching out to figure out how to keep my subscription going. Thanks for all you do!

Fantastic, but needs more. Since starting to use this app, I’ve lost 8 pounds and saved about $100 on food costs. The recipes it suggests are interesting and taste good- although I wish there was more variety. I have it set to generate a week based on as much variety as possible, and I’ll still get the same lunch or snack 2 to 3 times a week. I’m sure more options will be added as time goes by. The biggest addition I’d like to see would be a way to easily plug in / link online recipes. Instead of having to type out all of the steps and ingredients, I’d love a way to just drop the link to a recipe into the app, and have it magically sort through the link to add the appropriate ingredients and steps. I also really want a way to sort the items in your pantry. For example, if I know a “custom food” or a “branded food” belongs in the grains section, I would love to be able to just drag and drop the item to that section using the same mechanic that’s used to restructure where foods sit in your day to day planner. I don’t know how feasible either of these features are, but they’d definitely make the app easier to use from my perspective.

Great algorithm, crap recipes. I’m giving this app 2 stars solely because the algorithm that they have created to track nutritional intake is pretty awesome. The recipes are a way different thing. I’ve been using this app for almost an entire week, point blank, the recipes are completely gross. I’m doing keto and even with all the potential flavor from fats, the food is still absolutely disgusting. I prepped dinner for the last 30 min, carefully measuring, and after all that effort I am left to choke down another stomach churning meal. As far as the estimates for daily grocery expenses, not even close. My bill was almost double what it was supposed to be. I wanted to love this app, I really really did, but I don’t at all. This has been the most time consuming, expensive, and underwhelming experience. I would not recommend it at all, unless you are going to add in your own recipes and nutritional info. It’s a bit more work than I am willing to pay an 8$ monthly fee for.

Slightly Disappointing. Saw this app and thought the concept was awesome that it just outright meal plans for you and you follow it and hit your goals. I downloaded it to play around and see how well it worked and there was a bug for my IPhone X that when I was Inputting foods I didn’t want, I had to go back a page and then forward again to make it so that I could click “next” to move on. Then when I saw the recipes, it generated ONLY a seasoned chicken breast for dinner with no side and while I could easily add a side and track it into my meal, but that kinda defeated the whole effortless purpose of this app. Great idea but the execution needs a little more work. I hope this review helps to improve your app!

Stopped Working Properly. I’ve been using this app for over 4 months now to help meal plan for my macros. I’ve had no issue with my specific calorie/macro settings or food restrictions until a week ago. All of a sudden my meal plans started being a good 500 calories less, and the macros are nowhere near what I have as my nutrition target. I have tried to change settings and regenerate meals countless times. I also emailed app support, only to be told that it’s an issue with my nutrition targets, and not the app, though my nutrition targets haven’t been an issue until this past week. This is highly disappointing because the app has been amazing thus far and I pay for the monthly subscription, when the app doesn’t even work properly now.

New user. I just downloaded this app, it looks promising but I have to say I have already noticed a problem. I put no gluten for my meal options, and the first lunch it gave me included a hamburger bun. I had to go in on a separate category and check no bread to take that out of my meals. That’s should be labeled in the gluten category as all regular bread has gluten. Now I have a dairy intolerance as well, and so I checked no dairy, but one of my meals has ranch dressing for it? So this is a problem for people with food intolerances or allergies, as I still have to find my own alternative if the app suggests things I can eat. I am going to complete my 14 day trial though, and update my review as I go. Just was surprised at this oversight as I filled out my information.

Buggy and Frustrating. I’m not sure if the app is actively being developed anymore. But trying to control the meal plan is very buggy. Support is nice, but they are not very helpful. After I spend an hour trying to get my meals in the meal plan working, I might shoot an email to support to let them know what issue I’ve encountered. The response is almost always “we checked your account and don’t see the problem.” Yes Sherlock, it’s because I spent an hour working around the problem. I try to explain this and I usually get back “great, use the work around!” General lack of interest in trying to duplicate the issue to fix it. And using work arounds every time I try to meal plan for the week is extremely frustrating.

Good concept. Still needs work and better food database.. In general, I like the weekly menu based on the diet of your choice and the grocery list. I have noticed that the number of foods and recipes is still fairly limited if you have allergies or do not like certain foods. I have had only “bell pepper” or “banana” be the lunch option with nothing else. Their database of foods is still a work in progress. Also, I have calories set to lowest 1200 per day and quite often it comes up with an 890 or so calorie day. That isn’t healthy unless your doctor is monitoring you while you do it. One thing I’d like to see, but is only a wish vs need, is a Whole30 diet option. I do spend a lot of time tweaking the menus to get them where I want them for the week. I’ll use it for the year but probably won’t renew.

Intuitive design meets meal planning mastery. Bravo to the EatThisMuch team! As someone deeply involved in UX design, I'm thoroughly impressed by the app's intuitive and thoughtful interface. Navigating the planner is a breeze, and the search functionality for recipes is spot-on. What truly elevates this app is its robust meal customization, allowing me to align my digital planning with real-world goals seamlessly. Kudos to the team for executing this so well. Eagerly awaiting the integration of extended family preferences—a feature I'm optimistic is on the horizon. Can't wait to experience the next wave of enhancements. Keep up the remarkable work!

This does all the heavy lifting for you. Eating right can be hard enough but the time it takes to scroll Pinterest to find healthy meals, doing the research on what you should be eating, making the menu and the grocery list for the week… ugh! It’s so much work that it’s easy to fall back into bad habits out of sheer exhaustion and lack of energy. This app takes ALL of that out. It makes the menu for you based on YOUR goals, AND the grocery list?! Take my money!! I love that it’s so simple to change a meal if it doesn’t sound like something you’d like. The creators of this have really thought of everything and I have zero complaints. For 50$ for the year, this app is a gem! I just hope there continues to be variety in meals as time goes on, I could see that being a problem otherwise the longer we use it. My husband lost 10 pounds the first week! Also, everything we’ve tried so far for the meals have been delicious and TOOK NO MORE THAN 20 MINUTES TO MAKE!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you thank you thank you for making being healthy not such a steep mountain to climb! I will be a loyal ear this much fan for sure.

My only weight loss that actually works. I downloaded ETM around 5 years ago. I needed an app that holds my hand with the weight loss journey, because I CANNOT be trusted with portion size, groceries, or logging food. I needed an app that babies me and does EVERYTHING. This was my answer !!!! I made sure the app was catered to me, I.e foods I don’t like, variety, macros, etc. I lost 35 pounds and kept it off. BUT THEN I got pregnant and had my son and I’ve struggled being 40 pounds overweight for the last 4 years. And honestly I’ve tried to do it myself and I just can’t. So i finally was like I’m going back to ETM!!! I’m back on and 3 days in and I can literally already see changes. I wish I’d got back on 6 months postpartum and didn’t wait so long. This is the only app that I feel holds my hand the whole way and all I have to do is pick up a set grocery list , cook it, and check the box. Also I’ve added so many food pictures , if you see a grey blotchy counter behind the food that’s me. Lol

Good foundation… let me know when it is finished. I really liked the fact that this app has a grocery store and a pantry feature and that you can set the number of meal you plan to eat as well as the Fat/Protien/Carb ratio you want and that it will give you meals base on that ratio. I found it quite useless that the meals it gave you were not based on ingredients you had. I would also like a feature where I can choose ingredients to add to my meal and have the app tell me how much to add to reach a specific ratio and calorie amount and suggest other items/quantities from my pantry to complete my meal to the ratio I want. I may not need a recipe to make a meal, I might just need random ingredients that add up properly.

Awesome!. I was about to give up on the weigh loss effort, and then on a sleepless night I was on social media, and somehow ended up seeing the ad for this app. I debated exhaustively about whether to waste my time on yet another weigh loss app … but when I discovered that I could enter the specific nutrition (ie amount of protein) and the calorie goal per day, I decided to try it. Well, entering specific targets is definitely an advantage, but then when I saw the simple-to-follow recipes, I realized that I had found something life changing. I eat very simply, I don’t follow long, complicated recipes. While I sometimes eat too much 😊, I would not classify myself as a “foodie”. I like knowing that Greek yogurt with some fruit and bran mixed in is as complicated as breakfast has to be! There are plenty of recipes to choose from and you can easily change them if you don’t like the ones generated by the app. The combination of foods the app provides also prevents massive cravings. Things like multigrain toast with a mix of almond butter and honey gives my palette a bit of sweet and also satiates me so I don’t feel like I’m deprived. I don’t often write reviews, but felt that I needed to give credit where credit is due. The only downside to the app is that occasionally it glitches. If this review contains information you think would work for your lifestyle, I recommend it. Thanks!!!

Great but needs better food preferences.. Take some time to really sit down and mess with the settings. ETM’s first few stabs at my meal plan were questionable, but I hadn’t really TOLD them specifically what I wanted. Once I messed with leftover settings and meal preferences, ETM dialed it in pretty well. I did the 2 week trial and will continue paying for this monthly. My issues: Food likes/dislikes/exclusions needs a lot of work. For example “Pork/Bacon” are on the same check-mark for things you do/don’t want to eat. I WILL eat bacon but no other pork products, and there is no way to specify that without going all-in on both. Also, say I want to exclude chicken thighs from my meals. I have to find the various capitalizations and name variations possible and click the red X on ALL of them to exclude them all. If I just say that I don’t want chicken thighs, I might still get meal suggestions for “chicken Thighs” or “Chicken Thighs (boneless)”. You have to find them all and that’s annoying. I would also like to include/exclude meals by method of preparation. I don’t have an oven and it would be A DREAM to exclude meals that need to be prepared by baking. I would pay extra for this feature.

What a Difference. Let me tell you all something, I have the toughest time losing weight. I have a genetic disorder since I was born. Don’t judge me, I have never given up hope on losing weight. My Aunt whom I love so much purchased and pays for this app for me. I just started this December 8, 2018 it is only December 11, 2018 and I have lost 5 pounds which is marvelous. It works, that is not even a week. So I am very proud of myself. It is helping me focus on what I’m putting in my body. What I love about it calculates my macros. Get this app it is worth 60 dollars a year. I’m so stoked. What is great at any time my aunt, and my doctor can say let me see your app and check what I’m eating, not just that they can adjust my calories to what they think is best for me. It helps to have a good dr. And someone who is a nurse in my family that cares about my weight. I couldn’t be more excited in my whole life! I will write another review in a month! Let’s get it!

The only meal planner you need!. As a busy mom, one of the things that’s consistently been a struggle is planning meals and the shopping list for the week. This app puts it all in one place! Even if you’re not trying to lose weight, this app allows you to plan meals and know exactly what you need to buy each week. I’ve been able to upload our favorite recipes, add them into meal plans, and create 6 weeks of saved plans that we now just rotate through! When we swap things out for new favorites, the grocery list updates accordingly. I pay for the subscription and it’s 100% worth it!

Can’t say how much I love this app. This app changed my life. For the longest time in my life, I couldn’t decide what to eat and whenever I had to make a choice I’d go for a random meal which wasn’t always the healthiest choice. I couldn’t remember what I ate during the day and follow my macro molecules and, God, the calories! I was thinking about hiring a nutritionist to help me lose weight and focus on muscle building. This app did it all! My weight is coming down in a steady pace and I never feel hungry but the opposite because these meals are yummy and very filling. Yes, It autogenerate meal plan, gives you the grocery list, and let you change or edit any meal that you don’t like. There is a lot of freedom for the user to eat a good variety of food and still stay on track. You can customize your meals for their portion, cooked or not, and many other things. There is an option that ensures you’re not spending more than $10 a day. That’s really cool. You can choose from a variety of meals or diets and still there are hundreds of options for every meal. I’m a very picky person when it comes to apps but honestly I have no complain about this app. It’s simply amazing! Thank you! Also the pro version is really worth it. Take advantage of it.

Really great app despite a few gripes. This app has been great so far especially when I go to the grocery store. I’ve always had problems planning my meals out but this app solves all of that with nice meals that fulfill my macros. I would like more specialty meals, such as very well prepared and tasty shrimp or chicken and sort of “restaurant” foods (I don’t know how else to describe it). I came from another app called MealPrepPro and the recipes in there were absolutely amazing. I’d like to see something like that on this app. A really big con to me though is there there is no offline mode! I have to have internet to sign in and get my recipes and meals which I think is absurd since no other app does it and I live in an area where I have bad connection. If that feature gets added and some more stylish recipes I’ll be ready to switch all the way.

Impressed!. I really love this app! I’ve been searching for a good diet app that is free and this is perfect. Although I have only used this for a few days I really love it. What’s nice about it is that it really isn’t that hard to follow, it’s not so restricting to the point where I don’t want to keep on doing it. There are times where I have liked a recipe they gave me but they have a solution for that, you can view alternatives and switch out your meal. This is really helpful especially if you don’t have some of the ingredients in a recipe. I have been trying to eat healthier and eat a healthier amount of food and so far this has really made it easier and helped a lot. The app even makes sure you get the right amount of different types of foods like fats, proteins, etc. I would really suggest it if you need help changing your lifestyle.

Finally losing weight!. I was struggling to lose weight for years and nothing worked. I would eat healthy but eat too much. So I put in a last effort to see if there was an app to help me out and I’m so thankful I found this app! It is a bit complex to set it up at first but I think that’s because it’s so powerful. I’ve been using this app consistently for 2 months and am surprised that I am losing weight every week! I even was finally able for the first time in 2 years to get below a weight plateau! I highly recommend this app! Plus it’s really nice to try new recipes to keep it fresh and have the option to add my own. I never feel deprived, it’s amazing what portion control and proper macros can do! I’m eating pasta, homemade banana ice cream, tortilla pizzas and losing weight! I’m so happy I had to share! Follow it as intended, and keep it up. Thanks ETM!

Great App. Needs work.. The ability to have a meal plan built for you based off macros using realistic meals (with dietary and allergy restrictions available) that you can adjust to a price budget is an incredible addition to my IIFYM lifestyle!! Saving me HOURS of planning meals and try to adjust the macros to suit the day. The only downside is the food database and the difficulty personalizing meals and foods. For example, counting macros is important, but it’s equally important to be flexible. If the serving size says “1 medium banana” and counts the macros for 118g of banana, but your medium size banana is a little short (96g). I personally would like to be able to adjust the grams to see if it’s really worth cutting up another banana, but in order to adjust them on the app you would have to essentially create a new basic food or custom food for a 96g banana. Also, the database for custom branded foods is pretty small. Lastly, if I add a recurring food to my plan but adjust it, there’s no way to adjust throughout the weeks making you have to manually adjust it. Overall, worth the cost and all the little hiccups so you don’t have to pull your hair out counting macros in a self-made meal plan.

Could use some work. Used this for the past 8 months or so; I like the app for my own meal planning, but don’t like the auto plan feature. I chose Paleo style of eating and it daily will have recipes that are NOT Paleo. I’ve gotten to adding my own custom recipes, deleting everything they put in, and planning everything myself. Just wish I could upload recipes on the app from online rather than type it all by hand. Also wish there were more ingredients (ie Whole Foods items, Coconut Aminos, etc...) and a different way to search for them All as well as by Category. But I paid for a year and 85% of the recipes I use I’ve already typed in, so I guess I’m committed until something else significantly better releases.

Vegan. Trying this app out on the 14 day trial period. The app has bug. When you leave it open and turn your phone off then turn it back on the app crashes and you have to force close it then reopen it to get it to work. Now to the actual part everyone cares about. Im not a vegan but wanted to try it out because my sister is a vegan. The grocery list was awesome! I went into the grocery with confidence and as I was plucking the items I needed off the shelves, I was swiping the item off my list. It made grocery shopping a breeze! Now Im only just ending my first week of eating and so far the recipes have been great tasting and very satisfying (I am 6’2 260lbs athlete) the only problem so far is when I want to cycle through my option they are very limited. However when I search the app for vegan recipes there are 100’s of items I haven't seen on my plan. Makes me feel like I am missing out. Maybe I’ll see some more recipes on week two. I think this app has great potential just needs more work on the user interface and the algorithm needs updating for sure. Also I am excited to switch over to the paleo option in the future since the vegan option has been delicious so far.

Great app, worth subscription. I’m currently on the 14 day trial and will likely continue with the annual subscription. As someone who desires to be fit and healthy but is also too busy to plan everything in advance on my own, the app is a game changer. I love the level of customization allowed (although this is a double-edged sword which I’ll get to later). I can manually enter exact calories and macronutrients either to the gram or % of calories. I can eliminate foods I either don’t like or can’t eat and they will never be generated in the plans. Why 4 stars and not 5? While the app is just about fully customizable, the interface isn’t the most intuitive and so the more you choose to modify and specify the more work and thought you will have to put in upfront. You may wonder, as I did, if the app is actually saving you time or not. However if you do it right the first time, you shouldn’t have to re-create it again. Another caveat is that my wife and I don’t have the same nutrition and food preferences. So, planning for us both has proven difficult. There are workarounds, but they will add another level to the time and work you need to get the app working the way you want it.

Like to see some additions. While this app looks great and is an awesome way to regulate your diet, I’d like to see the addition of more diets in the future I try to eat as pescatarian as possible but there is no option for that in the app, so I’m left choosing Mediterranean and then having to adjust the apps preferences. This isn’t terrible but as pescatarian is a common diet and some people stick by it because they can’t eat pork/beef/chicken meat, it should be included. That being said if pescatarian is added the app must also be aware of mercury consumption. Of course someone should always be watching it themselves but some fish can only be eaten 5 times a month due to mercury intake so that needs to be watched.

Decent food but app needs improved. 4 Stars: For the tasty recipes which are easy to cook. 2 Stars: For the app. After sticking with the Keto meal plan for a month on premium I would say that much of the food planned out is tasty and fairly easy to cook. I will continue using the app for more recipe suggestions but I will not be renewing premium for the time being. The main issue I’ve seen with premium is the grocery lists. The reason I purchased premium was to generate a full week of meals and use the generated grocery list to make shopping easier. After a month however I have found numerous times where the grocery lists either far exceed the quantities stated in the recipes or the list does not include everything needed forcing me to go to the store again. These excessive quantities and frequent grocery store trips have increased my food costs for the week just to stick with this plan.

Horrible app. Again and again app keeps freezing, you can’t login in, food wount add to categories, you have to be online to use it, if your Internet goes out or u live far away and have bad internet app will not work! Had it for a few months and at least 5 times it completely stopped working it wouldn’t even allow me to login. Now again it’s loading its loading and nothing! Horrible app! Nothing but problems! Food in the app is horribly missed marked, you can’t add anything else when adding your own food just protein fat and carbs… maybe the guys don’t understand that food has other things in it also! You scroll they the day and food cancels or replaces with something else because there is no lock button…. I can keep going and going! And of course again and again and again website is down so app is down, can’t login can’t do anything. Elementary company. To make things worse you can’t even go back to a previews day, u have to click back back back day by day and I need to go back 3/4 months. That’s a lot of clicking. Again no one even thought about being able to scroll calendar backwards, only forwards smh

Perfect app for menu and shopping. When I saw that I was able to not only make a menu just with a couple of clicks starting from diet all the way to preferences, The app then spits out a shopping list and you can go buy it. Very simple very straightforward very easy. You should buy it and you will not regret it. I definitely bought it and I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. So at the end of the week and the start of a new one, the day before, an email is sent to you, with the grocery list and the menu all planned out for the upcoming week, how great is that?!

THE BEST MEAL PLANNER IN THE STORE! Hands down. Okay, so I have been using meal plans, workout apps, macro and miles trackers for ten plus years and this app is definitely THE BEST ONE for meal planning. Not only does it give you the option to count your macros, calories, etc... but it gives you the flexibility to change all of that whenever you need to. It also allows for certain types of diets. For instance, I have been wanting to do keto for awhile and I even purchased a plan, but the recipes and meals were way too complex and it was just too hard to try and keep up with. This app, on the other hand, gives you the meals with recipes, and all the nutritional facts right from the day. And if you don’t have the ingredients or it’s not something you want to eat that day, swipe left, and you have a new meal that is still within your macros and calories! Also, I recently found out I am gluten intolerant so they have options for that. Vegan, vegetarian, etc... this app has you covered! Whoever invented this is seriously a genius. It’s EXACTLY what I was looking for and is already making sticking to keto so much easier. Thank you! I am using the free version which is day to day planning, but I do plan on purchasing it for the month or even year. Highly recommend this.

Wow, just wow.. So this app is absolutely amazing. Starting back up on a diet is usually difficult for me but not this time around. This app has your diet planned out based off of your own information, it gives you more then enough choices for a diff meal each day so you don’t get bored of the same things AND it’s also very helpful with staying on track. Super super easy to use and also comes with recipes and directions on how to make everything. When starting my diet I was at 148lbs and now I am down to 143! That little push is what I needed to stay motivated. I couldn’t be happier with this app! 100% worth the download!

Good for the most part, but.... It is a good app, but the calculations seem very odd. I’m at a healthy weight and was trying to maintain or lose a couple pounds. I entered in all the information, and it was saying my total calories in a day should be 880? This seemed very low and so I looked up at what the average calorie intake should be for someone my age and lifestyle. It said I should get around 2200 calories a day! The recipes are good are everything, but the low calorie count is frustrating because 50 calories of tomato soup isn’t enough for dinner. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’m not sure, just threw me off. But everything else besides that one thing is pretty good, I’ve found some good recipes from this app so still recommend to try out.

Helps you help yourself for real change. I have struggled with maintaining a healthy diet my whole life. I am 47 years old. Before the advent of smart phones and apps, when I really wanted to do well at losing weight and keeping it off, I would keep a food journal and write down everything I ate, tracking calories and macro nutrients. I would use a book listing the nutritional values of all foods (a very thick paper backed book). When I found this app, I tried it out for a couple of weeks and then purchased the subscription version. It is SO easy to use, and it makes grocery shopping easy and I don’t buy extra food I don’t need or won’t use. I love it.

Powerful customization. Takes all the work out of planning meals, especially since it has such powerful customization tools that allow you to automate the process. For example, I’ve been able to choose the difficulty of my breakfasts to easy no-cook, my lunches to medium difficulty w/ cooking optional, and my dinners to hard difficulty w/ cooking required. I’ve also set my lunches and dinners to be eaten as next-day leftovers, and I have my dinners sized for 2 servings and my lunches only 1 serving. I also chose vegetarian only, no nuts that I’m allergic to, and removed cheeses as an option. All of these are automatically taken into account every time I generate a new plan...no thinking required.

Good idea but needs work. I love the idea of this app because meal planning within specific calorie constraints is HARD. But there are a few things that are frustrating and make it unlikely I’ll use the app. Most importantly I don’t think this reflects the way people really eat. For example, one day suggested I eat three apples for breakfast and a bowl of refried beans for dinner. Another suggested a dinner made up of roasted chicken with yogurt and cantaloupe. Or there is kale every single night for dinner. No thank you. These are clearly meals planned by robots without tastebuds. :-)The food database is incredibly limited. The contact us and report a bug links are broken. And I can’t find a way to say thanks for the trial but I don’t want to subscribe. Perhaps if I spend more time customizing it will work better but right off the bat I thought, this does not reflect how I live or eat.

Not great anymore. This used to be a great app and I used it to get my diet under control and lose ~60lbs. However, earlier this year they did some sort of update and now my meal choices have been greatly reduced. For example, before I might have 12-15 breakfast options and now I only have 2-3. Refreshing the meal, or indeed the entire day, will usually just yield the same 2-3 results that I didn’t want the first time. I’ve tried to contact the people behind the app, but I haven’t received a helpful response... just an apology for a delay in getting back to me but no information about the issues I’m having.

Best App Ever. I absolutely love this! I was looking for an app to help me kind of figure out missing pieces to my diet & I always journal my food to stay steady on a healthy path! Wow! I got that and more! This app is honestly the best I’ve ever seen! It is easy to navigate, so well laid out! And being able to fine tune your diet structure! Then add the bonus of all the recipes! I tried one last night and it could be a new favorite :) If you are trying to loose weight, you have an amazing tool in your hands. This will help you not only loose weight, but help teach you what you need to know to keep the weight off once you loose it! Great job, thank you :)

Perfect App. This app is what I’ve been looking for!! It does all the work for you from generating your foods by macros to even using what you have on hand and including that into your meal plans. I like this app because once you tell it how many macros, how many meals you want to eat a day, and all your likes and dislikes it generates a meal plan from its large recipe database to give you so you don’t have to figure out each week for your meal prepping. The meals are customizable the way you want it especially if you want to be simple with less ingredients. The paid version gives you way more access to see out further so you can plan and also the paid version lets you put things in your pantry for it generate from what you already have. The free app is cool, it just limits you to daily prep if that works for you. I say give it a try if you trying to lose weight, gain muscle, or just eat healthy on whatever your goal is.

Great App but Needs Work. This app is awesome! It really takes the guess work out of meal planning and calorie counting. However, it could really use a few features. First off, it should keep you signed in whenever you close out of the app. Tp have to re-sign in every time you reopen it is quite annoying. Secondly, the app should allow you to add any custom meals you have had for the day (ie, if you decide to cheat and have a slice of pizza). Lastly, it should take into consideration having a late night snack. I don’t want to eat something high in carbs or protein right before I go to bed. Other than the above criticisms, this app works great. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Easiest Diet App I have found. This app seems to be the most user friendly and I have tried as many of these apps as I could find. I feel this app simplifies what’s important to me such as the grocery list and recipes. Other apps the recipes were so complicated and there are so many ingredients on the grocery list I get overwhelmed and never do it. This app lets u pick from around 5 different diets (keto, vegetarian, Mediterranean) and then u can easily select foods you want to omit from the diet u select. The recipes are simple and the grocery list is doable. Also they give u loys of options on how u want the app to appear menu-wise and even emails you a customizable list to print out.

Do you want to lose weight?. Then do this! This app is the icing on the cake for me. I needed guidance with calories and food intake so that I could accomplish what I wanted and I am super happy with this app. I actually love everything about it. I love the food choices, the recipes, the variety, the math and science and the importance it follows on the protein intake. This will help me get to my goal. I do some light strength exercises but it’s the food that I had to get under control. Im 46 and weigh 132. Sounds great! Right? Not when I have a very fatty pregnant belly from birthing 7 children. So I have a goal to lose 17 more lbs. It’s totally personal. Whatever you decide to do, this can help! By the way I started at 156 got down to 137 and I got a little stuck there. Things slowed down too much. That’s where this app came in. I dropped 5 pounds in a week. Yes I’m happy! My goal is actually within reach. I follow the vegetarian plan and I always listen to my body more than the app but I don’t stray much because I’d rather reach my goal sooner than later. *honest unpaid review

Great App, Makes Meal Planning Easy. Currently this app works great! I previously had some issues getting it to work properly for a few days, but they've since been corrected and everything is good again. If you're considering getting a paid subscription, I'd highly recommend it. I love that this makes sticking to my diet easy by generating a grocery list in advance. It's also great that I can add my own recipes to my plan, and there's a huge database of both brand name and restaurant foods, so I can easily adjust my plan around my cheat meals. Nearly every recipe from the app that I've tried so far has been a hit. The subscription price does seem high, but it saves me so much time, I find it worth it. My previous review: I'm not sure what the deal is. This app worked amazing for the entire year I've had it. That's why I renewed my paid yearly subscription. Now it crashes before I'm even fully logged in. Luckily I can still access my paid account features from my computer, but the iOS app is inoperable.

Liked so much, made me buy premium!!!. Seriously love this app, I've always been a person who can't come up with meal plans myself--ADHD brain. This keeps the calorie count for me and gives me food ideas instead of me thinking it all out. App isn't too terrible to navigate but it could be make more appealing/simpler. People giving this app bad reviews don't seem to be very smart BTW, like they don't bother learning how to navigate the app, or have common sense. If you have ADHD brain like me, you don't need to go any further than generating the meal plan, getting groceries, making the food. This is a meal planner app people, not a weight tracker.

I use this everyday. Great app for all the calorie counting healthy eaters. I’m on a counting calorie journey and this app really helps me watch what I’m eating. Somethings like Avocado May not be on there so they let me add it. You can create meals or follow one of their meal plans. I just create meals and I feel like I have control over my diet but also I can eat what I REALLY want. The app shows you how many calories are in a specific food so you CAN eat what you want just in moderation for your caloric goal. The only thing is that sometimes the app just crashes. Closing the app and reopening does the trick. And if you don’t have premium then you can only do 1 meal plan a day. I hope this was a help to someone.

Great App!. This app saves a ton of time, and indecision when it comes to meal prep or evening dinners. The variety of meals is actually pretty expansive, so if you dont like a meal...swipe until you do. This app caters to paleo, veggie, or vegan diets as well. It allows you to hit calorie targets as well as macros to keep up with diet goals. It takes some effort to become familiar with the app so I suggest going through the tutorials (which u can always refer back to). Once you get going it's: look at the "week view", swipe for your favorite meals, display shopping list, and hit the store. It becomes VERY efficient. And there is a pantry function, so if you already have an ingredient on the shopping list swipe it into your pantry...done.

Best I have Found. This is the best meal planning app I have found. There is a large learning curve in using the app. Filling the pantry with the foods on hand in the beginning does not guarantee that your foods will show up. Use creativity to use your foods with the goals you set. I had some waste of food in the beginning. If the grocery list says to buy 6 zucchini, look at the weeks plan to see if you will really eat that many. The same with red bell peppers. One week I was to buy 6 asparagus stalks and 1&1/2 sweet potatoes. Lol try to do that in a store. So the left over vegetables will need to be used in other ways. Overall I have been using the app for a month and lost 12 pounds. Hubby lost 13 pounds. We are achieving our health goals with this app. Well worth the annual fee.

If an app could be sainted…. It’s this one. Seriously doing the lords work for my family’s meal planning and dietary needs. I had an eye on this app during its humble beginnings quite a number of years ago, and decided to take another look at it this week. I am so impressed at how far along this app has come and after playing with its new features was sold and ready to see what the damage would be financially. Then I saw the price and really got a warm feeling— super affordable for just about anyone. It would have been silly not to subscribe. I had my family’s meal plan for the rest of this week done and our grocery list delivered from Instacart in less than two hours. (The integration with instacart needed some tweaks, but the devs didn’t miss a beat in letting me know what I might need to adjust.) In fact, the upfront transparency from the devs on the app’s weaknesses and strengths were greatly appreciated as I navigated the new UI and I have full confidence this app will continue to impress as improvements come. Seriously Congrats on an amazing app - please never sell this to another company that will surely ruin it.

Best App of its kind by far. This is by far the most comprehensive, customizable, and well made app for macro/micro goals, dietary planning and grocery shopping. It takes all the good ideas of any app of its kind and puts them together in a simple way that makes it gool proof and extremely fast to put together. I can be at the store and never given meals for the week a thought before that time and generate a full list of ingredients needed for a week of meals that meet my familys goals literally at the press of a button. This app and its associated web interface is a MUST HAVE for anyone looking to make meal planning and dietary tracking easier and more efficient. I never thought I would be excited about an app, but this one is definitely a life changer.

Love this App. Great way to stay on track. My favourite is the grocery list ... So easy to use!

Bug. A littl bug when I want to personalize a recipe, indeed I tried to Add a ingredient to a recipe but it doesn't work! The apps closed just after.

APP OF THE DECADE. This app helps someone like me be consistent with eating throughout the day, As a skinny male trying to put on size it’s helped organise foods that I enjoy as well as focus on getting more calories in throughout the day. Can’t speak highly enough on how much this app has helped make my life easier with some amazing recipes!

Fantastic.. Easy to use; good simple food; and perfect preferences. I love the ease of it so much.

Dope app. It speaks for itself - !

Just what many people need!. This app is gonna teach me to stay healthy and cook!

Amazing with a couple of annoyances. This app does everything you’d hope it does and more - amazing, even if you’re just after something to help with meal planning with a specific diet (vegan etc) it’s worth paying for. My only gripe is that it logs out every time I close the app and I have to keep logging in over and over.

Great app, poor localisation. This is a great app if you are American and don’t use the metric system. Every food’s default quantities are either American units such as “oz” or extremely weird quantities in grams such as “28 7/8 grams”, whatever that means. Apart from that, it’s a great app to keep track of your calories intake! So I’m still giving 4 stars.

What a find!!. I love this app! It provides everything you need to be able to meal plan and has the flexibility to enable you to create any food combination or nutritional combination you can imagine! You can scan products to glean their nutritional info, create your own recipes, and favourite foods, recipes, ask for a particular food or recipe to recur or similarly block a food or recipe that you don’t like. It is everything and more that I have been looking for in an app. Signing up to the premium to say a big thank you to the devs while taking advantage of the additional features it will provide. Thanks so much guys, what a find! 😍💥🙌👏👏👏

Disappointing. This app is USA only. For an Aussie to use it, I’d have to manually add each & every ingredient, then create the meal, or go into every meal in the database & change each ingredient to an Australian brand. It’s such a great an otherwise, just what I’ve been looking for. But for $74+ a year, it would take me a year to add every nutritional value of each ingredient.

Quite Useful. This is a really handy app if you are sick of trying to come up with meals to fit your calorie / macro goals. However it would be great if there were more plant based options (atm I seem to be getting the same 5 or 6 meals all the time). It would also be awesome if there was integration with other popular health apps. Otherwise it's pretty useful 😊

Very informative :). Saves a lot of time

Not impressed. When I read the reviews I though this would be a great app to help me meal plan for my new diet , unfortunately that isn’t the case, after typing in what foods I didn’t want to be used in my meals the app added them anyways even after refreshing.

Love this app!. Great meal generator

Do not Recommend. Unless you like eating the exact same meals of cottage cheese and tuna, do not bother.

Not for vegetarians. I tried this out hoping To try new foods im a vegetarian. Most of my meals consisted of protein powder, salad and smoothies. This isn’t much of a variety of foods and there are some repeat days where the recipe is called something else but has the same ingredients and just added herbs.. most of the foods were salads and not much cooking at all, mainly only breakfast. Also shopping list made me buy twice what I needed. Not happy about that. But that’s my honest review. I would not recommend this to any vegetarians, maybe it’s different for non vegetarians.

Fantastic for meal ideas when you’re stuck. This is a great app for planning out days or weeks of food prep, but most of the time my partner and I use it as inspiration when we’re stuck for what to cook. With the customisable macro profile & dietary requirements, we can easily find foods which will suit both of us.

Love this app!. This app makes life so much easier! Love being able to plan meals, grocery shop and track my calories all in one place. Would recommend!

Very handy. I like how you can plan your day

Extremely slow to load. I was enjoying this app but the longer you try to use it the more frustrating just how slow it is to load becomes. It’s something like twenty seconds to launch on my iPhone 10. And that’s even if it was already open and you switch to something else then back. There seems to be some slow logon that is enforced every time you come back to the app. It needs fixing as a top priority because it will be my top reason for deleting the app and not renewing a subscription.

Disappointing. Installed this app to help with a low fructose diet, but the meals offered did not look to be low fructose. Deleted the app within 10 mins of installing it.

Easy to follow. Easy to follow meal plans customized to your diet and calorie needs. Still learning all the features. But love how easy it is so far

Great for fitness goals. Saved me literally hours of work on meal planning, helping me to reach my goals more effectively. Meeting macro targets has really improved, and great to save money by cooking at home. The integration with Health to track macros and micronutrients, combined with a water tracking app, makes for a fantastically holistic nutritional tracker and planner!

Great app. I love this app so much however I recently broke part of my phone screen so the top quarter is unresponsive, I wish they would make an update where when you flip the screen the app flips too, instead of staying in portrait. Apart from that it’s one of the most useful dietary apps I’ve ever used and I would definitely recommend it

App is awesome for food and meal plan to get composition results. This is by far one of the easiest ways to get results and help keep clients compliant and on track with their eating goals.

Planning ahead should be available. Planning ahead of time is an essential feature that should not be locked behind a paywall. How are you meant to “plan” anything anyway if you can only plan the current day. It’s frustrating and should be available.

Fun and Helpful. I was looking for an app that makes a meal plan for me to loose weight. I love the design and it works well. You can customize almost everything which can take a bit of time to learn, but because of that I feel I can make it mine and the support is really great. I like the easy healthy recipes and feel like this app makes a good partner losing weight, getting used to and learning to eat less.

I've now signed up for premium. Started using a week ago and very satisfied to date with the results. Although I haven't liked all the foods it's been good to try new things and I have found some great recipes!

More options. Really good app, would love to see an option to make meals a mixture of vegetarian and part time meat option.

Grocery function flawed. This app is generally very impressive, however don’t trust the grocery list export. I just completed my grocery shop and got home, only to find there’s a number of meals and snacks I don’t have ingredients for because they weren’t included on the generated list. That’s quite frustrating.

Must create an account. The app may be great but you must create an account and share your email. I won’t. Why any app would require my email to be used?

Easy to use. Takes the hard work out of keeping your macros in check

Healthy, easy and yummy. The app has been a great time saver for our family, with a positive impact on our health and well being. I love that I don’t need to spend time working out meal plans that meet our protein/carb + weight targets, and we discover new recipes all the time. Love this app and highly recommend if you to live a healthy life and have little time for creating menus that meet your needs.

App is great, but. I love this app. I hate making decisions and any piece of technology that lightens my mental load is a winner from me. However, the calories/protein content is quite inaccurate. This will impact anyone who is trying to lose weight/gain muscle etc. I’m having to go through each recipe to ensure the macronutrients are correct, which is quite frustrating.

Amazing. This app is simple to use, direct and has a ton of features. Good job!

Unless you buy. Not really worth it unless you buy and they do t show you what makes it worth it..

Very good. Very convenient as it makes the plan for you and makes grocery shopping a lot easier.

Cool app. I’ve noticed the tendency of the app to give me one food per meal if i can explain? Like it would give me a 500 calorie lunch and just give me a 500 calorie sandwich. I think it’s worth looking into programming in a way to promote foods that make you more full? Like i could also eat more volume in 500 calories and have less chances of derailing and more chances of success for me and for your app to lead more people to success, whatever their goal. I personally don’t use the app in its intendant way but it has still helped me a lot! Thank you!

App is glitchy. The information is good but app keeps glitching and doesn’t work properly for me. Sometimes it never wants to open and other times the app freezes. The difficulty to manage the glitches ruins the user’s experience

Great App. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. This makes life so much easier, therefore I think it’s worth the money. I honestly do not have time to sit down and plan meals to add up to my macro goals and this app does it in an instant! If you don’t like an individual meal or the daily meal plan you can switch it and it will generate another meal. You can also add meals to favourites. Bonus - The meals are quick to prep and simple! Another bonus is that it will generate a grocery list for the time frame of daily meals that you pick, also if you already have the ingredient than you just click on pantry and it’s removed from your list.

Like this app but pricey.. I like this app alot but it's very pricey for a student. And maybe even for others. If it's $5-6 most if the people can afford it.

Fantastic app support & great app:). Okay this app is great:) Its layout is almost more similar to a routine app & for us it's perfect. You can see you meals/snacks at a glance with custom photos & customize everything. That paired with the fantastic app support & the subscription was a no brainer for us:):):)

Waste of time. No options exist on the free plan, it’s a waste of time to even set up

Amazing app, severely lacks variety. This app is awesome. They thought of everything in terms of UI/UX. The problem I have is that if I let it generate a week for me I get the same meal 3 days of the week and another meal for the other 4 days of the week. The app works fine if you like every food and have no dietary restrictions. But if you’re like me and you have exclusions you might end up with the same meals over and over again. Eat This Much needs to add WAY more meals to their app in order to provide enough options to people with exclusions. I paid for premium but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be continuing with this app. I have to manually select meals for each day because the generator doesn’t work for me and that’s the exact reason I signed up, so that I wouldn’t have to meal plan.

Loving this app. I am really enjoying the app! I like the macro feature and the amount of family members you are cooking for. The grocery list is very handy. My only negative comment is that sometimes it will put yogurt (as an example) in your meal plan 2 or even 3 times a day! You can refresh or regenerate the day but it is time consuming to do this on frequent days.

Terrific App. Lost 10 pounds in 2 months following the diet. Lots of variety and straightforward recipes.

I wish I’d known about this sooner. This app makes meal planning so much easier. One of the things I hate most about the meal plans I’ve purchased in the past is that they tend to be boring and repetitive. They also make substitutions really confusing. Eat This Much takes the monotony and complexity out of meal planning by providing a huge variety of meals and recipes that you can swap out as you see fit (even on the spot!). You can even add your own foods and recipes and the app will adjust your meal plan accordingly. You can also customize existing recipes by swapping out ingredients that you may not like or that you may be allergic to. I love that I can plan my meals according to what I actually have in my kitchen. No need to do an entire grocery haul before I start the week. I found this app one night and started my meal plan the very next day. Very budget friendly! I’m really impressed by this app and I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of it sooner. The best part is that there is no work on my part to calculate macros and calories. The app does it for you. And the absolute best of all is that it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. This is the perfect solution for long-term meal planning.

Waste of money. I accidentally bought a trial year subscription. As I looked through this app it is beyond stupid to navigate. It’s painful on the eyes and the recipes are terrible! I tried to play with it for an hour just to see if I can make this app work but it’s a waste of time and the recipes don’t seem appetizing at all. I requested a refund but guess what..? They won’t refund me $41 for a year long subscription that’s not even worth that. Do me a solid and just refund my money.. Save your money and do not purchase this pitiful app.

Really impressed. I’ve tried other apps and the meals are barely edible. These meals are delicious and we find ourselves looking forward to the next meal as we carry on our day. Even some snacks which didn’t sound very good were great. Easy way to track intake and I especially love the grocery list printout.

This app is out to lunch. Who ever made this app has not used it. The meals are as complex as the ingredients. It has me buying stuff like duck fat and the like. The shopping list has so many ingredients it reminded me of a table of contents of a university textbook. The cooking times are insane. Honestly, if you are trying to loose weight acooking time per meal of 30 minutes, will have you going for the bad stuff more often than not. It doesn’t have simple options like the ability to meal prepping. If you want an app that will have you buying every fancy ingredient in your store while giving you a 3 hour cooking time a day this is the app for you

Good for me. Helps me plan out a meal and create a grocery list. It has encouraged me to to start cooking again and for affordable prices, though it still need tweaks to that area as it varies from place to place.

Love this APP!. I Love cooking vegitarian but can never come up with tones of new ideas and end up sticking to rice and beans lol. This app gives great ideas and it is WAY better than my fitness pal!

A great app and it does the trick. I’ve been tracking macros for awhile and I fell into a pattern of only eating the same things, I struggled to get creative, cookbooks often don’t have macros or don’t fit my macros. This app is great for giving me ideas.

Amazing app!. I don’t like cooking at all and I always struggle with thinking of easy and quick heathy food options. Eat this much has been amazing! By giving so many options based on your preferences it really makes meal planning easier. It’s also shown me I can eat certain foods I would have avoided thinking it wouldn’t help with weight loss. Overall it’s a win!

Love it. It’s great and easy to use. I wish it had an option to move meals to different days and even swap entire days to a different day. Also, if it alphabetized my favorites, it wou led make it a lot faster and easier to find certain items.

Waste of time and Money!!! 😡. Thought this would help me with my strict diet I have been put on to lower blood pressure naturally. I put in vegan diet with no tree nuts, no avocados, and maximum daily sodium of 1500mg. Results were daily sodium over 2000mg, first day had pecans, chicken, and avocados. Needs a lot of work in my option.

LOVE IT!!. Love the app

Doesn’t work. For some reason it won’t exclude recipes with my dietary restrictions so that’s quite frustrating.

Good simplistic app recipes need work. App works well and does what it says there is a big problem with bougie or needlessly expensive ingredients. Don’t recommend turkey breast over chicken. it’s a speciality item in many grocers $$$ same thing with overly crunchy substitutions like coconut oil or flour. The recipe and grocery platform only really work for a US SW diet otherwise it’s needlessly expensive for no additional nutritional difference.

Be aware (hidden charges). Every time we use a subscription on iPhone, They can be seen in: Settings> name> subscription. However this app does not show! I was surprised to get another charge today since this app was not part of my subscriptions. This is wrong, and it needs a fix.

WTF?. This app seriously told me that to loose 1 lb a week I would need to eat 800 calories....like what the hell? I put in the macros I had been given somewhere else and it told me I would need to cut that in half? Where is it getting their numbers?!? Seriously could cause harm to ppl if they listen to it!

Highly recommended app. Amazing idea and app they created here. I love it

Easy. Easy to use and I love that I can put in the same meal multiple times.

Awesome app. Just what I was looking for...put your macros in and your type of diet, dislikes etc. Puts a days menu all together for you and the recipes are delicious.

Fantastic for meal planning. Recently got this app and it’s my go to to decide what I’m going to eat for the day and the week. I use it to plan with Flipp flyers and hit grocery stores accordingly. It’s awesome. Use it every day.

Great app for dieting. Prices are not accurate for items but this is a must have for people having a tough time dieting because they don’t know what to eat. This app solves that problem and so far the meals have been quick and easy.

Tons of free info. I have tried tons of apps and this is the first that gave me free info that was helpful and good without forcing me to pay for a ton of things. Love it.

Not a serious food app. This app just throws random meals together to meet the calorie settings for the day. Not healthy balanced meals for the day. E.g. one day it had salmon for my morning snack another salmon type recipe for lunch and a different salmon for dinner. One day it had just an avocado for a snack. Who eats just an avocado alone as a snack.

Good app, needs adjusting. The pantry is great, but sometimes random foods are brought in to recipes that aren’t in pantry or grocery list, and I am often left with extra portions of ingredients. The measurements and amounts on groceries should be adjusting to make more sense, ie: if I’m told to buy parsley but only need 0.33cups, I might be left with a lot of parsley that isn’t included in any recipe before going bad. Just an example. Great app, keep improving it!

Great Idea, AWFUL Recipes?. Love the concept, but the recipes are like prison food. One recipe for Turkey Lettuce Roll ups was literally lettuce, turkey slices, pepper. Who is eating a roll up with nothing on it but turkey? All the recipes I viewed made no sense, plus it would make you eat two servings of chicken and no sides for meals? Wonky as hell

Help!. I can’t open the app. I’ve been trying to open the app for days now. I tried to delete and install the app several times now and still not working.

Useless. This app won’t even load. Keep getting the error message just trying to open the app

CALORIE COUNT. I am questioning the legitimacy of the calorie counts now because this app tells me 1cup of plain cooked quinoa is 640 calories. What other foods are incorrect?

This is the BEST for me!. I have tried all kinds of calorie counters, meal planners, kits and this app has it all. I love that it ensures I hit all my macronutrient targets on a vegan bodybuilder diet. When I swap out a food the recipes readjust to compensate nutrients. The recipes are so simple and delicious. The app is unobtrusive. Thank you for not inundating me with pop ups!

SO GOOD. Honestly this is really good! It helps a lot with your macros if you’re not the type of person that likes to prepare all your macros all day! It would be nice if you could customize the macros but so far is really nice

Waste of time. You can only plan for one day on the free version and you can’t even make any grocery lists. Pointless unless you wanna pay $11/month or $79/year. Should have advertised that first. I wouldn’t have wasted time downloading and creating a profile.

Love it! But... just one small detail for the 5 stars!. It’s annoying that you can not see your meal plan if you are offline.

Helpful but lacking.... This app is great for me specifically because I struggle to come up with recipes for the week, HOWEVER it seems to be seriously lacking in mean choices... I populates things like grapes and a banana for dinner.... instead of substantial food.

The idea is okay, but the foods are ridiculous. I’m sure the menus work great if you’re a stay at home worker or parent, but for the average working person, the diet is absolutely ridiculous. The meals are just plain silly. Every single portion is a multiple ingredient meal, taking time to cook every one. There’s nothing simple about it, and the money I spent trying to follow this diet for a week was astronomical. The idea is good, the execution is a fail.

So helpful!. I love this app. I have been struggling for years to have a decent and healthy diet. This app is amazing and extremely useful/helpful. The interface is also quite friendly and aesthetically pleasant. I love how customizable your weekly plan is👍

Love this app. I am using the paid version and have lost 50 pounds already this year. Love it!!!

Great app, please add some more filters.. It would be great if you could add filters that would not add dishes that require pork, gelatin or alcohol. Since we muslims can not consume these. You can perhaps call the filter "Halal". I would definitely consider getting premium if these filters were added.

Best app of it’s kind. Love this app, simplifies eating and shopping, recipes are easy and satisfying

Eat This Much. Eat This Much App is fantastic. I simply add the foods & ingredients I like & delete the meals or ingredients I wish to avoid. The ingredients & recipes are incredibly easy. I have counted macros for years, but have always been poor at planning or meal prepping for an entire day or week. This app plans out precisely your macros, calories, creates your meals day by day & week by week & generates a grocery list. Takes all the effort & planning out of it.

Great!. I lost 10lbs in 3 months for a Hawaii trip following this meal plan with occasion cheats lol. The meals are flexible, if you don’t want breakfast you don’t have to have it in there. Put in how long you want to cook, leftovers or no and there you go! The grocery list can leave a little to be desired because it just adds ingredient quantities from the recipes up so it’s up to you to figure out what 600 grams of sour cream is and get the right size container. If you don’t like the recipes you are seeing then you can add in your own!

Solid work, 1 suggestion. The app is very easy to use, I love the inclusion of a pantry section so you can build off of what you actually have, and the grocery list for easy planning at the store for your week. Only suggestion is to allow the ability to link two accounts in the same household, maybe even a little more on price for a “household” account or something for two or more people so they can have similar plans based off the same household but with differences like portion size based off calories/macros goals or whatever would make sense

Overall a good app, but.... I like that it plans for calories and generates meals. However, I prefer to use my own recipes most of the time. This app has no good way to organize my recipes, and recipes can only be edited on the computer. If I try personalize it on mobile, it’s just creates more custom recipes. Then I end up with 5 versions of the same recipe, which I can not delete from the mobile app. Can’t change the meal to another day from the mobile app either. This planner is best when used directly from the computer. It works, I’m just getting really annoyed with it.

I am already seeing results. I joined a popular lifestyle maintenance system as well as a food tracking program, but those things won’t work with only color coding or after the fact logging. I needed help with menu planning. Eat This Much was exactly what I needed to create healthy and balanced meals. You tell it your calorie allotment, how many servings, and it makes suggestions and gives you a weekly grocery list.

A life changer!. I find meal planning and tracking what I’m eating exhausting. I often choose foods that are quick and easy and not as high in nutrition. This app really takes all the annoying work out and lets me focus on preparing fresh food. I love being able to customize my meal plan and providing a grocery list for the week is extremely helpful. Sometimes I have to use the website when the app is acting up, but it’s still a fantastic app. I can’t recommend this enough!

Incredible. Unbeatable. Solutions. Absolutely amazing. I have looked and searched everywhere go an app that organizes, plans and tracks like this one with simplicity and ease. It takes a little time to learn how to use it but it is well worth it! On top of it all once you’re done planning you can download a PDF that has all the recipes, menu and grocery list you build - organized and simplified. Even has a button to order the groceries … the features go on and on . Perfect app.

Impressed. I love this app! I found it by accident when looking for a nutritionist online. I just wanted someone to tell me exactly what to eat. I love this because I can move meals around and just block the ones that are a hard no. The grocery list is my hero! So much better than having to go through each recipe to figure out how much of what I need! And the ideas for food. Yes! I get so sick of eating the same thing over and over and over. I didn't realize how many options I had! There are a few things I would change, but I feel like that will get settled over time.

Good idea. I like the app and think it’s a great idea, but with all things come some issues. I suggest try there app, but they are a little unrealistic on trying to figure diet plan. I felt some of it was so much food that was difficult for me to consume. Like them telling you how much protein, carbs, etc they recommend. Obviously it’s unrealistic. I’m a guy with lots of muscle and work put a lot and their idea was a lot for a person on protein and carbs on calorie target and so on. But to sum it all, I do like it and I suggest anyone to try it out. Might benefit them better than others.

I’m impressed.. I basically never write app reviews but this app is a game changer. Not only does it customize your macros and provide a full meal plan & grocery list, but everything I’ve made has been delicious! You can also program in the foods you don’t like. I was so overwhelmed by meal planning before I downloaded this app. I downloaded it on a Saturday and I was following my new plan by Monday. Thank you!!!

Healthy adventure. ETM has helped me realize what healthy eating is all about. It has been a great adventure learning how to make more healthy food choices and I’m loosing weight. I was a size 10 and now I’m a size 6. I also exercise regularly. I have also dropped my cholesterol level! Getting my meal plan and grocery list made for me also is a big plus. Thank you for aiding me with my adventure I’m taking in staying healthy.

Great app, could use some upgrades. I really think this is a great app, and I really like the idea of the app making a meal plan based on the user’s specific macros and calories. Meal planning can be one of the hardest things to figure out when trying to be on a healthy lifestyle journey. As somebody who meal preps regularly, I would love it if the app gave me the option to have the same meal plan for multiple days in a row, instead of giving me a new one every day. I have a very busy life and cooking three meals a day is simply not an option for me. It would help tremendously in meal prepping. Also, I’m very budget conscious (and have very limited space), I try to use up what I have first before buying more groceries. I would like there to be an option in the app to try and use my pantry items first, before having to buy more things. Again, I think this app is really great, and it has amazing potential to be even greater!

So Off the Mark. This is such an awesome idea and hopefully someone will do it better, but this is just an awful app/service. The meals that they recommend are just not realistic for anyone that needs to cook for others. The idea that an app could recommend meals and provide a grocery list is an awesome idea and I will be searching for one right after this to see if it exists. Other issues are adding foods to your recurring list does not work intuitively at all. I added oatmeal, a couple of dried fruits, walnuts, and almonds thinking it would provide a variation of those ingredients for breakfast meals. No, it just suggests a 1/2 cup of oatmeal. Dry. No additives lol. No thanks. Hopefully the developers put some work into it and gets it to be a useful service.

If you hate eating dry chicken 4 days in row, this app is for you.. I don’t ever leave reviews but this app is so great. If you hate eating dry chicken 4 days in a row, and hate meal prepping in general, this is for you. The meals are so simple to make & constantly different. If you don’t like something, hit shuffle and it’ll find another meal to fit your macros. I don’t take 4 hours out of my Sunday to prep for the week, don’t have Tupperware all over my fridge, and don’t have wasted food anymore for getting tired of eating the same thing! I love being able to cook my own dinners and this app gives me perfect recipes to cook.

Skeptical but... I wanted to have an open mind and after a week I can tell it actually works. I customized it to fit how many meals I wanted to eat and how many time I wanted leftovers. Never thought it would be this easy. Do the trial. It is worth it if you are serious about sticking to the plan. As a vegetarian it has been hard in the past but this is going to be my meal planning go to I can already tell.

Can’t live without it!. This app appears as #1 every time I go to my suggested apps on my iPhone. As someone who Meal peeps and trains everyday for either a competition or just personal weight loss / gains, this app is essential. From the flexibility to enter my own foods to meet my macros while competing to allowing the app to suggest delicious recipes during my off season, this app is hands down the best out there. Please please never take this app away, I can’t live without it.

This App is AMAZING!. This is such an underrated app. I hate having to scroll through dozens of recipes on Pinterest and make sure that they are vegan and fit in my macros. This app makes it so easy to generate recipes that’ll fit into my daily meal plans. No matter the type of meal plan/macros/allergies, this app will give you PLENTY of ideas on what to cook for dinner or even a dessert that’ll fit into your diet at the end of the day. Love this app so much and would definitely recommend it!

Good but needs work. Good service that really helps with keeping track of meals, nutrient information, and really helps with grocery shopping. What I would love to see is more customization on disliking certain foods or categories for specific meals. For example, I never want to make a smoothie/shake for lunch. I don’t have a blender at work. But, I’m not against having a shake for breakfast or snack. So I don’t want to dislike the recipe or else I’ll never see it for any of the meals. Additionally, I should be able to add foods that I want in my diet. I want to eat rice but the app never recommends rice for some reason. Just like there are foods that I never want it to include, there should be an option to add foods that I would love to eat every once in awhile. Finally, don’t recommend that I eat 3 apples for a snack. Thanks! Looking forward to future updates.

High utility, worth a subscription. This app will let you customize meal planning around dietary preference, calories, and macros. The recipes are great. The grocery list is a life saver. AND it has an integration with shopping apps so you can export your grocery list to, for example, instacart! For me, this is the most useful app I have ever seen. And it just works. I haven't seen anything buggy yet. Worth every penny for a subscription. I signed up for the yearly at $60.

Most useful app on my phone. Love the app. It’s easy to use and helps me come up with a variety of new meals without much effort. The only problem is that it’ll suggest recipes that involve ingredients that come in packs and only require one for the week. It wants me to have one tortilla for the week, for example, but they only come in packs of 10. What do I do with the other 9 if I’m counting calories? They’ll probably go stale before I use them for other recipes. I’m not really sure what the solution for that problem is but other than that it’s a great app!

Suddenly VERY Slow. I love this app! Been using it for years. However a couple of nights ago, the app wouldn’t connect to the server (I guess they were doing maintenance), and since then it takes forever to search for add a food to your daily plan. Easily 30 seconds for it to load foods into the search bar and 30 seconds to add each individual food to the daily plan. So a whole recipe takes about 5 minutes to add, and it’s making me not want to use it anymore. Hopefully the developers can fix this, because it’s such a good app when it works well.

A valuable tool for those who are serious about their nutrition. This is a good app. It allows the user to enter desired daily caloric intake and the macros (protein, carbohydrate and fat as a percentage of the total calories) and how many meals a day. Click a button and “presto” a meal plan is created for several days. The app will also generate a grocery list. You can filter out ingredients you can’t or won’t eat. Very helpful.

oof. I miss the old version of the app, due to being able to simply refresh a meal and said meal will STILL be in balance with your personal goals. With this new update, you have to manually decide what you want whilst making sure it fits AND doesn’t go over with your needed fats and carbs and proteins. It just feels like this update has thrusted the main point of the app, unto you D: I really miss that replacement feature.

Weight Lost. I’ve been on this app for a bit and has honestly helped me a lot with weight loss and strength gain. Only reason I took a star off was because of the grocery list and serving sizes. If i have dinner set for 3 it should allow me to change servings as everyone else doesn’t need as much as I do thus making me buy more than I actually need and end up wasting food. Besides that it’s great. Of course there’s still plenty to improve on/things that can be added that would make the app easier to use. I’ll change my review when the app adds the previously mentioned items.

Not for Vegetarians or GF, or Dairy free persons!. No matter how many times I set the app to “vegetarian” and set food exclusions to remove dairy and gluten in settings, every day the meals contained meats of all kinds, and dairy, and gluten. I tried logging out then back in, resetting then closing the app and restarting, vice-versa, always the settings accurately reflected my diet preference and food exclusions while the meal’s generated contained all the foods settings was meant to exclude. The app appears to be absolutely useless if you have food restrictions. Such a shame, because it seems like such a great tool, if it worked! Sadly, I can’t see spending money on something that doesn’t work any better than a recipe book on my shelf.

My favorite app!. I’ve never reviewed an app before but this app has been amazing and I had to let others know about it! This app has totally changed my life - I decided to count macros for a diet and this app has made it easy to create delicious, easy to follow meal plans that fit my nutrition goals. I love how it creates a grocery list and allows you to swap out foods if it suggests something you don’t like. I would recommend this app to anyone!

Life changing. This app changed my life. I took over cooking and shopping responsibilities in our house. This app made that possible. It turned a chore into a joy. I lost 45 lbs in the first 6 months of using this app. It enables you to only buy what you need for meals. Skip the junk food and boxed meals. It saves a lot of money that way also. The recipes are great and customizations make it very easy to come up with a great meal plan each week.

Better than Noom!. I’ve been trying to lose weight all year and STRUGGLING. I paid for Noom and it was very stressful to use. Once I found this app, eating better became so much easier. I love that I can customize my days, save days and weeks and that I’m actually seeing results! The grocery/pantry function is a little glitchy but you have to be patient and pay attention to detail. You won’t regret using this app!

This App is a Game Changer. I had been struggling with meal planning on my own, using a web based meal planning site. Had only lost 2 lbs with that. After starting with the Eat This Much app 3 weeks ago, I’ve already lost 8 more lbs. for a total of 10 lbs now. It’s so easy to use and I love that it gives you specific recipes with exact measurements for each ingredient. Customer service is very responsive to any questions. Trust me when I say, this will be the best $60/year you’ll ever spend!

Life simplified!. We are a family of 6. I have been using this app for a month and love it! I planned the health options for myself then planned the serving potions needed to fill my husband and that would be a pro pirate for my four little ones. I love that I don’t have to think about what to eat, what recipes to use, making a grocery list, or even grocery shopping. Through the app I can easily arrange or swap meals to my preference the. Hit the couple buttons and my groceries are delivered to me! Such a time and money saver! The one thing to be aware of- some of the recipes programmed in are not normally a “family meal”. Haha it has made us laugh more than be frustrated. I simply swipe through the week before I print my week meal plan and ship the grocery list to make sure the meals are really what we will eat.

Do not get this app if you’re vegan. I wish I could get my money back. I got this app super excited to start the new semester out right by cooking and eating vegan, which I did all last semester. I wanted to combine eating vegan with counting macros but this app is not ready to be used by vegans. Meals are basic and bland, and some dinner suggestions are grapes and almonds, no cooking, just have a handful of grapes and almonds. I love to cook, but this app makes me dread eating and dread opening the fridge to see a ton of lettuce that was supposed to be used for a salad whose dressing was lemon juice, salt and pepper. I wish they offered a trial experience with premium so I could’ve figured this out before I paid for it, and all reviews were positive but if you’re vegan or trying to be this app is going to make you hate it. Being vegan was so fun last semester because for me it was a way to test myself to make delicious, healthy meals without meat or cheese, and I did that easily. This app makes me sad and I really wish I could get my money back and return “premium.” If I was going to add all the recipes myself, then I would’ve just kept cooking without the app.

AMAZING!!. This is such a good app I recommend it has such good food choices I love how you can change the foods as-well and doesn’t just stay as the selected food + gives you the recipe so you don’t have to search it up online?? I am an underaged minor which is obese I am working on my health as I am on this selected diet WITH exercise I would be ready to be back in school soon and proud of my body for once 💗

Everything I’ve been looking for. Downloaded the free trial. Impressed, will be signing up for the year. I’ve had a lot of other apps. Could I do this myself for free, yes. However, what this app offers is definitely worth the price. 100% Live the grocery list, food ideas, that you’re able to choose diets, or take food restrictions into account, that you can add your own foods, scanner. 10 out of 10!!

So worth it!. I’m currently in my second week of using the app and I am really enjoying it. I purchased the premium version and really appreciate the grocery list and meal planner. My live can be pretty busy and I’ve always struggled with coming home and bothering with shopping and cooking. This app helps take the guess work out of all of that. I’d really appreciate more vegetarian and vegan menu options but I’ve been happy with the ones that are currently in the app as I begin my transition. Great app! I would definitely recommend!

Easy, affordable options!. Just checking this out for the first time and I’m happily surprised! I’m not paying for the premium membership but can tell you that the meal plans are so simple and use many foods I already have on hand! Most of the ingredients could easily be purchased at any local grocery store (including Aldi!) and the recipes take just minutes to prepare. I’ll likely purchase the option to plan ahead in the future (once the bank is a bit replenished from the holidays). I’m looking forward to trying a lot of these meals. They look really appetizing!

I seriously love this app, but…. As much as I love this app and plan to keep using it, I think there needs to be a better system in place for regulating portions. Sometimes the app will generate a meal for me where Im expected to cook ungodly amounts— not to have leftovers, but to eat in one sitting. I know the app recommends adding reoccurring foods to fix this, and I have, but this probably shouldn’t be an issue anyway. I like trying new recipes and I hate having to lower the portion sizes and then regenerate my other meals to make up for the calories/carbs/proteins/fats I lost in doing so…

This is what I tell my friends. It’s so good. I got this app called “Eat This Much”. I put in how many meals I want to eat in a day(4), how much money I want to spend a day on food, how many calories I want to eat (I think they will figure it out for you if you put in height, weight, age), food likes/dislikes/allergies, and then it generates a weekly meal plan and grocery list based on your budget. You can have it make more servings for leftovers(family or next days food). I’ve lost 47lbs just based on eating all the different suggestions it gave me based on what I wanted to eat and my allergies. This app made it so simple for me to find things to eat for an entire day when I found out at age 28 that I’m allergic to everything. Thank you Eat This Much!! FOOD ALLERGIES Cow’s Milk Egg White Wheat Almond Cashew Hazelnut Peanut Walnut Sesame Seed Soy Cod Fish Tuna Scallop Salmon Shrimp Thank you thank you thank you

There’s potential there but.... This was actually recommended by my husband’s exercise physiologist. I’m vegan and I have been trying out the app. And while I LOVE the idea of getting my macros right. I was initially put off by the fact that they DO NOT have a dietician on the team. How are you creating meals without a dietician? That said, the recipes are not quite how real people eat. Yes I CAN get my protein by eating a half a cup of hummus, but there are other options too, right? Maybe 2 tbsp of hummus and some almonds? Also, everything seems to have olive oil in it, even when it’s not necessary.

Different on iPhone?. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but since I downloaded the app to my iPhone, it doesn’t seem to work?? Every time I push regenerate, no meals come up ever. I downloaded and re downloaded and it’s still the same. I can’t get it to work and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I emailed the company and I will update my review when I hear back from them. UPDATE: 5 stars. Tabitha from customer service got back to very quickly and pointed out my error. I had recurring foods only selected and once I fixed it, the app is just as good as it was before. Definitely the error on my part.

Absolutely love this app. I used the two week free trial on premium, and in those two weeks I lost 5 pounds. Eat This Much makes it so easy to stay on track, and the meals they give you are really easy to make. Once my month trial of premium from referring a friend is over, I intend on paying for premium which is NOT something that I’ve ever done. I don’t pay for stuff lol. But this app is amazing, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Makes life Easier. I am not a cook but I desire to be healthy. When trying to figure out what I wanted to eat, I always had difficulty and end up cooking and making the same dishes over and over leading to a lot of leftover and thrown out food when I get tired of it by day 3 of the week. This app helps me discover new dishes to prepare and makes planning weekly meals a breeze. I love how you can select which meals you don’t like and can change it. I only wish they had an option for dietary restrictions.

Life after this app will never be the same!. I used to use Eat This Much just to help me calculate the macros for each food item before putting it into my own log; but then I discovered later how powerful this app really is in saving you time in meal prep, shopping, and just thinking about what to cook for the week. This app is an invaluable food planning tool and macros calculator. The custom recipe generator is amazing, although I don’t know how to use the plugin; I just copy in the link. Thank you Eat This Much!

Misrepresented. I am so disappointed in this app. The pantry doesn’t work well, as others have said, it does not calculate the grocery list well, there are very few meal options, the app overfeeds dairy and tuna and contains boiled meat recipes, and will use all your calories for early day and tell you to eat something like cucumber tomato salad and carrot soup for dinner. The meals also default to different foods every meal every day. You start off soing a lot of work just to do damage control on the grocery bill. I could go on but I won’t. The tool doea not work as advertised and is a lot of work to manage. Not worth the fee. I gave it a solid 30-day effort and won’r resubscribe.

Too many repeated food entries. The only issue I have found on this app is that people will create a new food item with ease... without looking to see if it has been previously entered or existed beforehand. It’s annoyingly lazy of other people who are trying to honestly track what food they’ve entered. There are at least 5 entries for regular Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce. I know their are many, many, MANY other duplicate entries. I think that the developers should not make it so easy to add new foods. Required a photo to be added, a little “Are you sure this food doesn’t exist in this app?” pop up window. And maybe make this option to add a new food not available to the free users (I am a free user, I think it would be another incentive to buy the full version of the app.) As burdensome as a first world problem this solution I propose is, I think keeping it as is would just allow lazy, selfish, inconsiderate people to keep mucking up such a nice app.

Great app for healthy eating.. I think this app is great! Easy to follow. I love all the options it gives you and how easy the recipes are. My only complaint is when I first initially set up my preferences. I put vegetarian and I still got meat suggestions. Then I went to no dairy and still suggested yogurt. I then went to the options to select specifically what I didn’t want and still would get some things on there I selected. Idk if there’s a time delay for preferences to reset but it was kind of annoying resetting the week over and over until I got something I liked.

Needs More Recipes. The grocery list could be a little bit streamlined. When you go to a store, you don’t ask for 200 grams of bananas. Should state the common packaged sizes for items or just a bottle of blah blah and a bag of blah blah. Also would like recipes to be a little more simple. A link to a video of recipes and such would be nice. Overall, need more recipes and quality recipes. I’d also like to see genuine Mediterranean recipes, some recipes seem lacking. Love the apps otherwise. HIRE A CHEF TO MAKE VIDEOS OF RECIPES MAYBE? Or something

Game Changer. So, I purchased this app 6 months ago and just really started using it. It was creating some crazy meals, and I did not realize it had a web side to it which is very helpful and much faster then the app. But also when I looked into it it was in my macros. I started using it fully 3 days ago and OMG, it’s great. I have already lost 7lbs. Meal planning is starting to become addictive now that the guess work has been taken out. And if I think of a recipe and find it on line I can jut import it. There are a few bugs but, not enough for me to give a bad review. LOVE, LOVE , LOVE THIS APP!

Variety is limited. I like how the app works and is set up, but the variety of foods seem extremely limited and repetitive, there’s only so many ways you can do eggs, tuna, avocados, and tomatoes … yes there are SOME other foods but these are the core foods I keep getting at a nauseous rate and their are not a lot of alternative recipes so you are getting limited options over and over. And what about having some popular restaurants dishes that can be added if you have to eat out? I see McDonalds, and Taco Bell .. but that’s it. Really would love to see more recipes and variety of foods, as well as some major restaurant chains food options.

Awesome. I use this app primarily to find recipes that fit into my calories and macros! I love that you can select your diet and goals (vegetarian, vegan, anything goes) and it comes up with meals for you. Half the battle for me is creating food I enjoy and I sometimes run out of ideas and get bored with food I know! This app creates meals whenever you want, and you can “regenerate” or create a whole new day anytime something doesn’t look good or doesn’t match your taste style!

I FINALLY GET IT!. I gained weight over a few years and then had a hysterectomy. I decided to lose weight and tried various diets, couldn’t workout much due to a back injury. Nothing worked! Then I tried this app, again another attempt to lose weight, but this time this app gave me a realistic calorie goal due to my being so sedentary. This showed me what foods are best for me at my age and activities level. Well guess what?! I lost 6lbs and it’s only been 3 weeks. I’ve been trying to lose even just 2lbs over the last 16 months with zero success. Yay and thank you! Give it a try😉.
